Some art of FIVE PEBBLES (important lore man) from Rain World I finished earlier. Took about 2 hours in FireAlpacca. I had a sketch layer first, then lineart, then colors, and finally the background. Including the silhouette here too because I also like how it looked. Really happy with how this turned out!

Oh my poor wrist and hand, it has been an age since I've done any serious drawing, alrighty...

It doesn't feel too bad though, and this program is 100x better for what I want than FireAlpacca was. It is not as comfy as Photoshop for me, but I'm figuring it out. (Eta: im using gimp!)

Nowww... to find a comfy style where he looks like the character in my head without looking like uncomfortable mpreg of actual Andrew Garfield, because oh my gosh that is why photorealism in explicit fanart give me the personal ick, and that is just my taste on the subject

uhhhh great question!!! Um

Whenever i want to sketch and im at my laptop i use clip studio paint. if im feeling like lineart it’s usually firealpacca (but i use that for sketching too) and if im doodling it’s ms paint.

And ifim in bed it’s ibispaint

Just to make a point, every time I finished a panel of this I would export it as a PNG on the perceptual setting and use it as a color reference for the next panel

PLEASE CHECK YOUR COLOR SETTINGS

EDIT: If you're still having problems, it might help to switch from "Save/Save as" to "Export (as a) Single Layer". Just. Make SURE the box labeled "Expression Color" is set to RGB. I've been messing with this all day, and it looks like this combination of settings will allow exported PNGs to maintain their colors perfectly. To you. So far both Discord and Toyhouse still only display desaturated images and I cannot for the life of me figure out why

Hey! I know your old emoji account isn't active anymore but can I ask what you used to make them? Like what tools and your process? We want to make our own to use but we aren't sure how to start or what to do!

any art program you can use honestly, used ibspaint since i was sick in bed when i made most of them but also used firealpacca when i was able to.

it was a lot of recycling the same base and adding adjustments to it depending on the request or what i was doing.
