So I was inspired by @firefightdex to do a fire/fighting variant of my new favorite pokemon, Lurantis.

I based it on a boxing mantis. :D

(I really had no idea what to do with the feet though oops.)

Fire/Fighting Fan Art Contest

So for those of you who don’t know there is an amazing tumblr where the awesome @mfanjul is drawing the entire Pokedex was Fire/Fighting types. As you probably know the Fire/Fighting type has become a pretty silly meme in th Pokemon community, especially with the leak of Incineroar and his heavily debated typing.

eHalcyon thought of a great idea of having a fanart contest based around this idea so all shoutouts to him!

So the basic theme of this contest is to take an Omnis Pokemon and make it a Fire/Fighting type.

Rules:

Three entries per person

Must be an Omnis Pokemon, not a new form of an old Pokemon we have made

Must be easily recognizable as a Fire/Fighting type

This is a silly contest, so be as a goofy with it as you want!

Prizes will be decided soon and this post will be updated!

Update: We have decided the prizes, and here they are as followed:

First place will get to choose the theme of the next fanart contest. They will also get to choose the shiny colors of a Pokemon that lacks them.

Second and third place will get to choose the shiny colors of Pokemon that lack them.

We also forgot to put down a deadline! This contest will end on Saturday, April 1st, at 5 PM EDT.

Designs done by @firefightdex and I hope he sees this! I love his Fire/Fighting redesigns of Pokemon! So much that I wanted to do a fight between his depiction of Flareon and Umbreon!

AltDex Commissions! You’ve seen the BugDex, but what about other retyped Pokemon? A Flying Slugma, a Dark/Ghost Carnivine, or a Ghost/Electric Wooper? Let’s stretch the creative genes!

First, some restrictions

No Retypes to Bug, unless you want to see a variation on an entry from the past in the BugDex

 Nothing erotic/furry or anything similar

 No Fire/Fighting types, in respect of @firefightdex

 Even though it probably won’t happen, there may be some prompts I don’t feel I can do or some that I’m uncomfortable working with. Please don’t take it personally if I turn these down; I want to make sure you get a quality result for your money!

The prompt that you can follow

Species: Type: Any specific instructions/suggestions:

Base Price is $7 A Pokemon with one type changed(like a Rock Charmander, Psychic/Ground Nidoking or Normal/Flying Zigzagoon)

Add $1 for an additional Type (Rock/Water Charmander, Psychic/Ice Nidoking, or Electric/Flying Zigzagoon)

Discount $1 if it’s a Pokemon that hasn’t evolve but does evolve(Pichu, Charmander, or Wurmple)

Discount $1 if it an alteration from the BugDex(Bug/Ground Bulbasaur, Ghost/Bug Koffing, Bug/Grass Cyndaquil)

Just fyi, there are three categories I put retypes into(noteable for how I retype Pokémon):

Regional Variants-Pokemon that were once the original, but over time changed because of some scientific process of adaption(this is the least likely process Ill use)

Inspiration Retypes-Taking the inspiration for a Pokemon(like the Kelpie for Keldeo or the Alphabet for Unown, and changing a Pokemon as of the inspiration were changed(this is how most of the BugDex is made)

Pure Retype-Simply taking the design elements of a Pokemon that give it a type and changing those to another type

First monster is Beebalm from Keitai Denjuu Telefang (he is awesome and his evolution is a motorcycle-dog hybrid), second one is one of mine and was designed when I was like 16 (it shows XD).
