Neptune escaping was the final push I needed to convince everyone to get the rare lobsters out of the crates and brought inside (there has always been an excuse before; big sand filters not running, lack of space, the aquarium isn’t open anyway this year so why bother) so everyone meet Sunny and Speckles, our yellow and calico lobsters!

I’ve been taking the development of my comic ‘Top Fish’ more seriously, so here’s some character stuff I’ve done so far!

This is for the character Litti-P!

These are some outfit ideations for him! Wanted to portray his personality as much as possible, and it was fun as hell trying to get all that through with just his clothing alone.

Here’s the isolated lineart for em all:

Also also! Some really fun design bits I added for him like OMG! One of my favorite things to do for some of my non-human characters, is finding fun ways to make them black coded. For Litti-P here, I did that by giving his fins parts under his durag that are shaped like barrel twists!

I also made a funny lil logo play on the ‘Uniqlo’ logo, and made is say ‘unikril’ for one of his shirts LMAO! Needed to get a fish pun in there somehow.

Final thing! I thought it’d be fun to share all the characters of my comic so far, and the actual aquatic/marine species they are directly based off of!
