Sorry for the #later and​ but here's today's 5am  #CampGladiator with @teamreneeallday recap. So after a crazy weekend and an awesome time with my son out in Austin I decided to hit my workout hard..... 😒 I never realized #HulkSmash Renee would hit harder with #HIIT Week. AKA The Catalina Wine Mixer. Why do I call it that? Because anything can and does happen during this week. With rounds of 30 sec on 10 sec rest squat press, gut busters, plyo lunges, sprints, superman, explosive push-ups, and a little fun of capture the flag. My shoulders were still sore from Saturday's workout. I was trying not to die during the squat presses. Right now I straight up smell like the Church lady special of menthol and perfume. In meetings trying to sit at the end of the table like no one else can smell it. On this day in 1975, at the tail end of the Vietnam War, there was a dramatic airlift. Thousands of people were evacuated out of Saigon as North Vietnamese troops approached the city. Vietnamese American poet Diana Khoi Nguyen’s parents fled Vietnam. The Denver writer reads from her new book of poetry, “Ghost Of,” that explores the trauma of war and the loss of her brother to suicide.
