Seven Sentence Sunday

Lokius. Mobius and Loki get together but Loki doesn't have the equipment Mobius expects them to. 😏 No nsfw in snippet.

It was their first ever kiss and it was electric. Hidden deep in the archives, Mobius was pressed up against the shelves filled with ancient reports no one ever looked at anymore, giving in to Loki’s charm. In all honesty, he was surprised he had lasted as long as he did, and now he couldn’t figure out why he had waited to have those thin yet soft lips brushing against his, sending shivers down his spine. He pulled them closer by their arms, then let his hands roam down Loki’s sides until he could grasp hold of their ass, squeezing the firm muscle and making them buck into him. Mobius smiled, laughing when he felt Loki do the same, and they continued kissing despite it, neither really wanting to let go until they needed to. Eventually they did and Mobius stared at those kiss-swollen lips, wanting them on him again. He briefly managed to look up at those darkening eyes fixed on him and asked, “Shall we take this to my place?”

𖧷 lee jooyeon is totally the type to take this challenge i pray he never finds out about custom night

your boyfriend has gotten 3 hours of the sleep in the past four days of his life. he’s trying to beat 20/20/20/20 mode in five nights at freddy’s, and it’s quite possibly the worst quest he could’ve given himself this summer.

it’s the first game of the series and, if you’re being honest, the most boring one he could’ve chosen. you’d rather him spend time with the sequel (the best game in the franchise) than this mundane one, but you respect his love for the classics. he’s been dying to brag about having a badge tied to the original and iconic game. jooyeon dreams of rubbing a shiny medal in jiseok’s face; apparently that guy found a loophole to cheat his way through the night which led him to obtain his glitched achievement. jooyeon just wants to exhibit his skills the old-fashioned way.

you were supportive for a while, but soon enough things started to get lonely. you’d let yourself into his dorm and sit in the corner watching his attempts. you did your homework, studied for exams, doom-scrolled on all four relevant social media apps. his franticness wasn’t appealing to watch either. stress kept causing his bloodshot brown eyes to squeeze shut, his hands becoming pure veins after gripping onto the mouse for hours on end. you even noticed how dwindling patience ate his skin in a desperate attempt to remain present. your boyfriend is losing sanity to this. you suddenly wish he hadn’t finished the semester early so he would have something better to do.

“jooyeon…baby…”

you carefully speak as he sulks, staring at the start screen he was brought back to. he eventually hums in response, evidently defeated.

“let’s take a break.” you think for a moment. “we should have quick picnic!”

jooyeon can’t seem to remember what the outdoors looks like, yet he remembers when he pictures you there. the boy loves picnics with you; they’re known for relieving stress when the both of you inevitably hit rock bottom during tough semesters. he’d find himself to be a monster if he refuses, being no better than the purple guy. the offer is given like a beam of light to his pale state. with his head fallen, he nods. you’re unable to see the soft, relieved smile cradling his face.

an hour later and you both find yourselves outside. he immediately finds comfort in everything, from the way the wind brushes his long hair behind him gently to the way the sun warms his cold skin back to honey. you fill him in how your classes have been treating you recently, and he tells you funny stories about his life since he gets the feeling you’re not interested in the strategies he has learned in recent days. it’s okay; this is the calmest he thinks he’s ever been.

eventually your bodies fall flat on the blanket, eyes scanning the array of colorful clouds above the sunset. occasionally, someone would pipe out what they’d see in those unique shapes in the sky. you point, “that’s a dog, for sure.”

he giggles, shifting his position as he searches for another one. it’s difficult. they all look like freddy fazbear.

“this game is starting to rot my brain.”

“they’re all freddy?” you ask.

he shrieks and nods, shielding his heated face in embarrassment. the two of you laugh in harmony and you playfully push him a little.

“you don’t have to beat the challenge…unless jiseok promised you some money…”

he sighs and shakes his head. “i just wanna achieve something. i wanna put hard work into something and then go around all high and mighty with my authentic medal, y’know?”

you reach for his sore hand, intertwining your fingers with his as the two of you continue to gaze at the pink sky above.

it’s beautiful, and when he turns to his side, you’re beautiful. everything about this setting is relaxing jooyeon, like not everything is about left light - right light - open camera to check on foxy - repeat. he’s instead thinking about how lucky he is to have something else to brag about: you. and before he could even express these feelings out loud, you bring up some advice.

“whenever i’m stuck on something, i get better with the more breaks i get in between attempts. i think playing back to back makes you more frustrated and the run can get sloppy, BUT if you take more breaks you can be way more precise!” you turn to him, shining him a smile. “but that’s what i think. everyone’s different. i just brought you out because i missed you.”

jooyeon laughs at you and the wisdom you always brought, “i missed you too. i’ll be sure to focus on you more.” he shifts himself one last time, looking back at the sky as your body curls to cuddle him with a perfect fit. “this is more our element anyways.”

the two of you finally relax in one another’s embrace, occasionally snacking and shooting sappy flirts to one another. your hands are still intertwined, and none of you plan on letting go any time soon.

jooyeon grabs his phone for a second, swiftly texting with one hand. he sends this message to jiseok.

i may not have beaten 4/20 mode yet but at least i have the best girlfriend ever !!!

following my previous post, i wanna touch a bit more on the subject of why clancy seems to be diverging from torchbearer's original plan and how he's trying to find a compromise to fit the reality he's found himself in: how his worst enemy is, in fact, an inseparable part of himself.

it all comes down to these two main points:

1. balance

2. jurisdiction

tyler talks about blurryface inhabiting certain parts of his brain, places where this entity seems to have taken over, and the only way for him to escape from this encompassing darkness is running away from those occupied spaces and finding new, unexplored ground. that's what trench is; like tyler said, a liminal space, "where we used to bleed and where our blood needs to be", the space between your starting point and where your finish line must be.

we all know you're not supposed to stay in dema, but you're also not supposed to settle down in trench, as it serves as a place to find your footing, find your support system, and gather tools for your survival. a state of transition.

along the way this mindset has evolved, adapted, shifted. we are no longer running away, but rather, running towards. as i said in my previous post, clancy has found a shaky sort of confidence. it's not fully there at first, but he is secure enough in his own abilities to stop running away and face his tormentors dead on. we know by now this feeling of control starts to cloud his judgement.

however, with this newfound overconfidence, comes perhaps unwanted clarity:

Why was this given to me? Why am I the only one that can wield it? Was this the reason that I survived? My mind is racing as I wait here on the rocks - staring off into the darkness. Waiting for our torches to be mirrored - the signal he told me to wait for.

It feels oddly familiar. Not the spikes in my hand, but the power it harnesses, I've felt it before. Is this also the source of those rumors I heard in the dark corners of the city? Legends and stories that I assumed were myth, inspired by children's nightmares - tales of what the bishops would use the bodies for. Those "honorable" citizens who achieved The Glorious Gone - referred to as available vessels.

It all begins to make sense.

The episodes I would have: the blood red vision, my dreams of flying, the out of body account of the rider in the river, the decaying hosts of the television show, the robed figures that commanded the doomed ship...

Had we all been "seized" by the bishops using this same technique? Is this where their power comes from? Are they immortal, or just feeding off the next body, giving their hosts a brief second-life? I am in my original life, why am I available to this control?

This whole time I thought I was battling my inner self. Was I actually under assault from something else? SomeONE else?

blurryface, nico, the bishops, dema and all it represents... they're all an inseparable part of clancy's psyche. one cannot exist without the other:

it's not a problem to solve, it's a tension to manage.

[Tyler] explained the elements of ourselves that we hate, and the constant battle against these traits. In order to add clarity to this internal struggle, he gave a name to these negative attributes: “Blurryface”. This way, we can attempt to define the struggle, and to see the battle we are actually facing.

But Blurryface isn’t that black and white. There are more layers to him than described. He can either be represented as sad, angry, evil, or deceptive. He has a tendency to draw you in, but only to pull you down. Tyler mentioned a vision of his mutilated face, and all of the dread associated with the elusive enemy. There is something vague about him, and something that cannot be completely described. No matter what your interpretation of Blurryface is, it’s safe to say that he remains something that we try to hide, and not show to the outside world. tyler sings to us in migraine: "sometimes to stay alive you gotta to kill your mind." but how does one successfully kill their own mind without also killing an intrinsic part of themselves?

clancy must reclaim these parts in order to break the cycle. he must reach a compromise with himself, coexist with this side, which means making a deal of sorts with blurryface.

blurryface cannot die without clancy meeting his own demise, but blurryface will not stop until clancy is dead. or worse, under its control.

so what is left to do? truce.

a deal, a contract. with torch, with blurry, with himself.

clancy is put in a negotiator role, not only trying to find a perfect balance within himself that will allow the rebellion to win the war, but convincing torch – who will not stop shielding, covering clancy from harm no matter what – that this is the only way to do it: fighting for himself, for once, instead of relying on being saved.

Something fucked-up just occurred to me.

Downfall, being a flashback, needed to have resolved in a way that lined up with the present. That means Ioun needed to be alive at the end of it, and Aeor needed to be swatted out of the sky.

I think that this tells the audience something about Asmodeus/Milo that no-one in-universe is privy to, barring the devil himself. His little scheme of trapping the Knowing Mistress in the crosshairs of the Factorum Malleus would have been written with a contingency to it, for both lore and character reasons.

Asmodeus wanted to test the Primes' commitment to their family, whether they'd *actually* save one of the Betrayers if they were threatened. He figured that the party would assume that anyone targeted by the FM would be a Betrayer, after Cassidia had told them about the safeguard against targeting the Primes. So he crammed Arcadia/Ioun into a talisman, took her place, and waited.

What actually happened in-game, where the the Archeart/SILAHA saved the targeted deity, gave Selena the opportunity to tragically seal the city's doom, forcing the Primes to ensure the destruction of the city. Asmodeus didn't have to do anything at that point.

From a straightforward point of view, this is the result Asmodeus would have wanted, though it's possible that he was hoping the Primes wouldn't have intervened so that he could further justify his resentment and hostility.

But if SILAHA had chosen to counterspell Selena instead? The FM would have targeted the deity in the talisman, and Asmodeus would have his "proof" that the Primes no longer cared for them.

This is probably not the outcome that Asmodeus truly wanted, but he may have been hoping for it, to validate his pain and justify inflicting more in return.

Since the Betrayers' entire stance is that the gods come before mortals every time, it's questionable whether Asmodeus would have intentionally endangered Ioun. Given both his motivation and the out-of-game need for the flashback to make sense, I think that Asmodeus was either relying on the safeguard to work, or had set up some contingency to release Arcadia before the FM fired.

Either way, had the party failed to "save" her, he could come in, lambast them over how little he now knows they care, and try to drive the Primes against each other to hurt them.

And, of course, ensure the destruction of Aeor, because fuck your beloved little mortals, traitors.

and then it’s believable for some of them but he’s also out here trying to pass off scars on his face and hands (IGBP) as stretch marks and even what is very clearly a lobotomy scar. He is insisting he is fine. Doesn’t want to think about it.

i dunno who he’d have this interaction with, maybe like someone like X or FM that he hasn’t seen in a while. Or even like. Shroomy. Who has not been present for many of the horrors sadly we shpuld put shroomy in more plot episodes again his backstory woth doom guy is awsome i loved the village anyway what were we talking about

I could, for some reason, see Mario being the one bc they're besties after all. They've known each other for years. And would definitely be concerned about 4. Honestly, if FM or X ever come back, that would be dope as hell and I would scream in joy. Shroomy is a good one too! (And not just bc I do want him to appear in more episodes) Anyway, you're right. Shroomy hasn't been through all the horrors that 4 and the rest of the Crew did. It gives a bit of an outsider's perspective, looking in on how 4 was affected by all of it, and could be the one to help open 4's eyes. Ofc 4's probably not gonna want to believe it and dip more into the "suppress" route, but this will leave 4 thinking about it. It's pretty realistic on that standpoint and honestly would fit very well, considering the significance of IGBP.

It's a true story that every creator has gone through, even Luke. Then, for Boopkins, who is voiced by Kevin, to say they need to show love to help 4, he was right. Not just in the way Boopkins thought ofc. It was through compassion and empathy that essentially saved 4, given it twice by 3 in his own way. irl it was Kev who has been supporting his brother through it all, and it was love that got them through those hardships. So, for Shroomy (who y'know is also voiced by Kev) to help 4 see that it's not just "fine", it makes sense.

.....and here I am rambling about 4 again, whoops. I suppose I can excuse this as fulfilling my quota as a 4 rambler haha

We know that during their different routes as Toppat Leaders that Right and Sven's reigns get destroyed or damaged mainly because of Henry. (Little Nest Egg and Cleaned Em Out being the most kind to the two Henry wise)

But I had a thought of if we removed Henry from the equation, would Right and Sven's leadership be just as bad?

We know that the two do have routes where the rocket launch is successful (Free Man and Valiant Hero) and while we don't have a Sven only dealing with a Government attack (since Special Brovert Ops and Triple Threat have Galeforce pull out his troops so Henry can Henry), we do have a Right one (Master Bounty Hunter) and that route shows things are already going rough before Henry came. Sure FM shows that they do squeak by to space, but at what cost?

Maybe Sven might do about the same or maybe his launching the rocket early means that the Government does less damage (not to mention he stays in the cockpit), his leadership seems more strict but also more organized.

Sven couldn't predict Charles and Henry slamming their spacecraft into their Space Station during VH, but Right is fully responsible for bringing Henry aboard because of his grudge in FM, and even in Capital Gains Right throws himself into the fray of things.

Despite Sven's bad Henry luck and the fact that he can't take a punch to the face to save his life, I think Sven would be a punctual but decent leader if Henry wasn't there, where Right's impulsiveness and grudges would possibly lead the Toppats to their doom or his dethronement as if he isn't wanting to hunt down Henry, then he might go after the Government for sending him on the Airship and getting Reginald capture and so on.
