Something kinda odd is how fog crawlers are called fog crawlers in fallout 76 too. There’s still fog, it’s just a really weird lore thing where a distinct species somehow both evolved exactly the same from a magic fog in Maine over 200 years, and a geck explosion in Virginia over 25ish years. And everyone calls them the same thing.

Putting it all in the same boat as:…everyone also decided bears are yoai guai, even though everyone also seems to know what a bear is

Quirk

Psychopomp The ability to see & interact with ghosts and siphon energy from ectoplasm.

My main use of my quirk is typically seeing ghosts, as that’s passive and I can’t turn it off. I can siphon energy from ectoplasm, essentially what makes up ghosts energies, and control and manipulate it. While manipulating ectoplasm it typically looks like a mist, or fog, that has a slight glow. I can use the ecto to create energy blasts, heal myself or others, and create objects out of it. much like green lantern’s powers but with less green and rings, & more healing and ghosts involved

Other abilities I can use it for is making ghosts tangible, for an amount of time depending on how much energy I use; and “borrowing” the quirks of ghosts who allow it. If I touch a ghost’s hand, with permission, I can borrow their quirk for however long I like and be able to use it.

The final use is being able to pick and choose different features from various ghosts to visibly change my appearance to, like an eye color from one ghost, hair cut from a different one, and hair color from another. I typically use it while out as a vigilante or informant to hide my identity.

My Great-Grandmother. She’s the first ghost I ever met at 4, when my quirk manifested.

Past

I was born in california, and lived there till I was 8.

At 8 years old my family moved to Japan because of my dad’s hero work.

I was put in the same primary school as Katsuki and Izuku and became fairly good friends with them.

A few months after moving to Japan, I started helping ghosts move on. Little things like getting a dog from an apartment, or giving their partner a letter from them. It slowly turned into more after a while of doing it, to the point where running into burning cars or houses to save a pet or kid was a fairly normal thing for me. Saving a cat from a burning car was actually how I first met Aizawa.

I tried toning it down, calling in tips for different things to the police but all that did was get me labeled an informant. Eventually I just gave up and accepted it and started using code names when I went out. This went on for years.

At 11, my dad died. My mom wanted to move back to the US but I managed to convince her to let me stay in Japan, and she got me my own apartment. She pays my bills and rent and sends me a weekly allowance for everything else. Around this time I got into an online school that the work was to be done at my own pace. A few months after my dad died, I found out I had a cousin, my mom’s nephew, and met Tenko.

At 12, I started getting more serious about vigilantism. I met Knuckleduster, who ended up being a kind-of mentor for me, and by association ended up meeting Crawler and Pop Step. Late in the year, I finished my online school and ended up graduating from high school through it. It went pretty much the same from there.

Currently, UA starts in a month.

My Vigilante name is Hades and My informant name is Charon.

I have 7 ghosts who haunt me and I’ve known some since I was as young as 4.

One of the ghosts who haunt me let me borrow their quirk constantly, with their quirk being telepathy so I can use telepathy practically all the time.

Izuku and Katsuki are my best friends +katsuki didn’t bully Izuku

Aizawa’s quirk only cancels the ectoplasm manipulation part of my quirk, the rest stays active despite him using it on me.

I scripted the whole “I finished high school at 12” because it makes my life easier, i don’t have to worry about basic school classes, and it gives me the opportunity to choose whether or not I want to go to UA in this dr because I still haven’t decided.

Aizawa’s gonna adopt me after like a year in this dr, and “coincidentally” his apartment is in the same building as mine so I don’t have to move other than to the dorms during the school year(if I go to UA)

I have a small music career in this dr, as I do in variety of my other drs. I go by “Wisp” for my music persona

The Knight's connection to its battlenet conductor is gone. It is without the combat-wisdom of the Strategos command pattern states. It is alone.

There is silence in its thoughts save for the occasional ping it sends out. Query. Nothing. Not even an echo. It switches frequencies and tries again.

Something alien and not pings back.

There is warmth and icy fear churning in her core, both foreign to this frame of metal and hardlight. The signal is friendly but not battlenet. She knows him, because he announces himself with every message, with every data packet and brush against her mind.

Who is he? Who is this being in the data? There are so few stewards left floating in the Domain, so how does it live? Why are there no orders? Why is she alone?

It is a war machine. It needs orders. Knights follow orders, give orders to their schemas of crawlers and watchers. It is a battlewagon, it must have soldiers. She is a commander, where are her S-

Query. Nothing.

There is a human looking at her. Not even wearing any of their primitive human armor around its soft flesh. He looks worried. Pinched brow, lips in a tight line, and spine straightening out of remembered reflex when he knows she's seen him worrying again.

Who is he?

His face flashes through her mind. The Knight searches its databanks. This human's face is familiar and not.

Clarification needed.

Network isolation wreaks havoc on the Knight's functioning. It has its unit frame and nothing else. No rifle. No allies.

The being in the network that is not her Strategos wraps around her firewalls. He feels sad.

Query.

Why does this Ancilla[! He is an Ancilla!] act this way? Why does he not have orders?

Conjecture: It is wrong somehow. This unit has been abandoned.

Observation: This unit does not feel abandoned.

The Knight has been in this room with the wall between it and her watchers for multiple solar cycles. Many of the humans visit it, there are tests. Most even talk to her.

This Unit remembers something other than being this Unit.

This Unit has only ever had this frame. This Spartan misses her armor.

Tom won't stop visiting her even after she sent him away.

Roland answers her pings as best he can.

The fog dissipates for a moment and the memories surface.

There is the blunt hurt of recognition in the face of unceasing loss and then she is gone again.
