We all (well, most of us, probably) have heard of commandment number four, which says that we should remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. But how is one to do that? Probably taking a nap? Rest from labour? Sleep throughout the day? There will be many saying that it is meant for our rest, but how is one to rest? We see Jesus always working on Sabbaths (Saturdays), on which we would perceive that it is not lawful to do. Does that make Jesus a transgressor? Then that would not go well with the fact that Jesus lived a sinless life, hence dying and bleeding for nothing. But what does this mean? He obviously told us, that God made the Sabbath for man, not man for the Sabbath. We are not subdued to the Sabbath. The Sabbath is not our God, but rather the gift of God. The Israelites were enslaved for centuries in Egypt, growing accustomed to restless labour; but God brought in the commandment of rest, in order to save them from their past. And Jesus Himself, the Son of Man, is Lord of the Sabbath, and according to the Scriptures, He is our Sabbath, our relief of the Old Covenant, in which the people suffered the burden of the Law, which they could not bear. If you had a friend in deep suffering, even on the Sabbath, wouldn't you go and help him out?

i attended a memorial service for a distant relative a few months ago, held in the local megachruch, and ive been thinking about it regularly since then. while i knew that i found the place and the very idea of the church fascinating,* the main emotion ive felt on reflection has been disappointment, and i didnt know why. but i figured it out;
the building is massive, the services must be huge and grandiose, and yet the pastor spoke of God in the most boring, uninspired way, and the whole church is industrial mid century modern. it was all just so bland and dispassionate and uninspired (the empathy and love on display for the dead was very genuine, im referring to the Rest of it). the place clearly feeds from the faith of its patrons but seems uninterested in inspiring them in turn
no ounce of me is religious, but i know for a fact the very idea of God can be much more beautiful and imposing and comforting than that. theres way to much blood and paint in its history for that not to be true. you have a huge congregation and all this money and youre selling one of the most captivating stories in human history and this is its presentation? this is sufficient? not only to the pastor and the church staff but to the people attending worship? i knew itd be strange and modern and absurd in there but i guess i expected at minimum a slightly-charismatic pastor and accompanying staff. or at least one with a confident and well presented knowledge of the bible
i felt disappointed cause it was disappointing

Thank you to @kiddysart for drawing my MagiReco oc Koyuki!
A Magical Girl born in Kazamino City, she immigrated to Napa Valley, California with her family (a very conservative Christian one). Currently lives in Kamihama with her girlfriend after running away when she got outed to her parents (they didn't take the news well). She's safer now than she would have been back there, but she does miss her younger sister, even if said sister didn't really defend her during the fallout. It's complicated. (She's not really religious anymore, due to Kyubey's existence throwing a wrench into all of that.)
Her armor was inspired by Hajime Sorayama. I also requested the background feature the Kirby Krackle. I think it'd be cool if more magical girls had the Kirby Krackle.

Everytime I watch the movie Hacksaw Ridge it sends chills allover my body and I'm reminded of how amazing it is to trust in God completely and give your life over to Him. Desmond Doss performed miracles. All because He completely surrendered to God's will. It is so beautiful and awe-inspiring. I pray one day I have enough courage and will-power to do the same. Happy Sabbath everyone

JESUS' FAMILY IS NOT MARY OR HIS SIBLINGS : Jesus said, 'Anyone who does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother' - Mark 3:35
BE A TRUE WORSHIPER OF GOD & FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM AT ALL TIMES (1 Jn 1:3).
To become a true worshiper, you must STAY AWAY from sin, idol worships, ALL 'man-made' religion including Christianity, its leaders/churches/fellowships/worship places, denominations & traditions (1 Tim 6:5, Col 2:8). ONLY THEN GOD WILL ACCEPT YOUR WORSHIP & FILL YOUR LIFE WITH JOY & PEACE (Jn 4:19-24, Gal 5:22-23). God bless you & yours.

So I might be joining that Catholic Church…
Been doing a lot of research on the different types of Christian faiths and Catholicism just makes the most sense.

I just saw someone say that Mormonism and Scientology were the only two major US-originated religions. Which, like, how wrong can you be? Do you know how many Protestant movements originated in the States? Is the Great Awakening nothing to you?

I really like the Catholic anime mascot, Luce. I hope my Catholic friends don't hate me for copying their homework lol.
I'm designing a 7th Day Adventist one named Ellen. Yeah, I couldn't think of a better name, ok? Lol, I based her off Ellen G White a little too much, but she's meant to be a black girl with green hair, and I'm not sure about an eye color yet. Maybe they should be green too...?

You've seen this before hadn't you?
Fascine of the Original 1843 adventist chart, detailing the visions of Daniel and Josh made by Joshua V.

Are you an ex Seventh Day Adventist? Do you see any incoherencies in Ellen's teaching? Or the church's teachings? Maybe you can notice some biblical texts that are written in a non historically accurate way? If so, you just happened to stumble across a space in which you're free to write all that out. I'm here to listen to your experience.
As an ex SDA myself, it's been very hard finding other people raised in the religion who are no longer in it. It feels as though once someone is born into the religion, they never leave it. Being born in a somewhat minority within a Catholic country already is lonely, but when you leave, even the small community that you did have everyday life feels even lonelier. Maybe that's why? The kids at school always had dozens or questions, there were never other kids like me in my area. And with the Church kids, I just felt different, like I didn't exactly fit in with them either. So from a young age you are thought that you just don't belong.
Then, as a teenager or teen, you start to question, you start to see things that you just can't figure out. And when you finally leave, your parents start to blame themselves for it, like it wasn't your decision to make in the first place. There was a time, a few years ago, when I really didn't want to go to church with my family. There were no tween groups and I didn't agree with some scriptures or the church's teachings. Plus, I felt like a loser because I had to go to church every week while my peers got together and hung out. I was sitting there with all these old people that I had to call aunt and uncle, saying prayers, that's just what a kid thinks. And because I didn't want to go so much, I closed the door to my room. That was met with a lot of screaming from my parents, worse than I'd ever heard them before, I pushed the bed up against the door, feeling really scared. We had a really long screaming match and my dad broke all the hinges on my bedroom door. He entered the room, I was punished, and I still went to the sermon. Later that day I, in my rebellious teenage brain, decided that from that day on, I would make a scene every saturday. After long weeks of waiting my parents finally gave in, on the condition I'd watch the sermon broadcast each saturday. And I hadn't gone to church (aside from feasts and big festivities) since.
I know my story isn't very tragic, unique or "culty" in any way shape or form but it was still important to me it IS still important to me and i really am eager to hear about other people and thier experience. As far as I'm aware I lot of people had it far more difficult than I could ever imagine. On another note I feel especially bad for ex mormons and ex jehowas having to leave your families behind I could never imagine having to go though that if y'all found this post and feel like sharing i really encourage you to do so.
In case of some serious situations, or genuinely bad struggles I really recommend checking the website I linked below.
