I'm....sick.

Thinking ab texting your boyfriend informing him on how ill you are only for him to rush over to you. You try your best to push him away and push him out, warning him about your sickness and how it may be contagious. How you don't want to get him sick and how badly it would upset you. Your nose stuffy and causing your voice to sound stiff and nasally. He absolutely refused to leave your side, saying you needed someone to take good care of you during these bad times. You admired the way he cared, how he rushed over just to take care of you and make sure you weren't alone. It was sweet, really. But that doesn't excuse the fact he could get sick! Try as you might; he wasn't going anywhere. He made you some nice hot soup to soothe your sore throat, the hoarseness of your voice breaking his heart. Your red nose clearing a bit from the heat of the food. He watched closely as you really enjoyed the food the best you could. A nauseous feeling you had returning as you sigh to yourself.

“ take your time.”

he spoke to you sternly but full of love and genuine care. You take deep breaths to try and calm the unsettling feelings, a shiver going down your spine. The more you think about throwing up the more you feeling you have to. With him acknowledging this he decides to try to talk you through, maybe make you laugh or get you to think about something else. It works like a charm, you slowly take in your soup and conversate the best you can through the slight scratchy feeling of your throat. He was patient and gentle with you, his hand feeling all over your face to feel your warmth. You were burning up but you didn't even notice. If anything you were cold.

After you'd eaten he made sure to lie right next to you, cuddling you close with your face in his chest. You groan to yourself, you still didn't want to get him sick. Most of the time you can't even relax without your nose running or sneezing like seven times. You try to warm him once more only for him to shut you down.

“ hush. I don't get sick easily. my immune system is way better than yours anyways.”

You sigh one last time and accept defeat. Snuggling closely and finding a great warmth that didn't make you feel too hot. His arm around you making you feel secure. Your head seemed to stop pounding and you felt safe and comfortable. He watched you closely, the way your body rose and set with each breath. It was mesmerizing to him, he chuckles to himself at how adorable he thinks you are while you're sick. Just as he was going to move down to kiss your cheek you sneeze into his shirt getting snot all over him...

The next week you felt so much better,....yet he was sick. Blowing up your phone borderline whinging and begging for you to come over and make him feel better. Whether he was trying his best to subtly hint it to you, you heard it in his voice. He was sniffling and coughing on the other line. You couldn't help yourself but to laugh.
