in honor of me being bedridden by my seasonal allergies yesterday, here's a crack/drabble for y'all

ft. gojo, geto, nanami, toji, choso, sukuna, higuruma

Gojo - you text him that you wake up feeling like you got hit by a bus, and you think he's fucking with you saying that he's not around, but mans is at the pharmacy/chemist picking you up cold meds, tissues, and a lil snack (the snack is for him but he'll say it's for you). will watch tiktok compilations with you until you take a nap and then will take unflattering pics of u to show you (and his students) at a later date. will tease you with almost-kisses but won't kiss you because he doesn't want to get sick

Geto - already noticed that you were feeling off the night before and had the cold meds lined tf UP for you that morning, along with tea/a warm bev, a warm compress, and more pillows to prop up your head. will hang out with you and put on a podcast the two of you like and will put an extra blanket on you when you take a midday nap. will kiss you on the hand or the top of your head because those heal the soul.

Nanami - noticed you've been working hard and have been stressed out lately so he preemptively got cold meds, nasal spray, cough drops, a new pillow for you, and the nice tissues (you know the ones). makes you tea, soup, and jello [scientifically proven by the UoY [university of Yeetza, medical accreditation pending]] and makes sure you get enough rest. will watch mockumentaries with you while making sure the beverage you're drinking isn't coming out your nose while you both crack up. will not give you a kiss but will hold you

Toji - the one who got you sick, y'all are laid up feeling miserable a f together and share custody of the tissue box. took the last of the cold meds and does not have money to buy more. will watch trashy reality 2000s tv with you while you both chug hot bevs and chew ice chips because that is how the body heals from illness. y'all are not touching each other until you're both better, but i feel like he's down bad enough that he'd still kiss/hook up/etc with his partner even if they were sick. man is foul but i respect the dedication

Choso - is concerned that you're sick, doesn't know what to do, and brings home a mish mash of meds that are somewhat helpful (it's the thought that counts). finds a cute stuffed animal at the store, puts it through the wash while you're asleep and puts it next to you while it's still warm from the dryer. will warm up soup for you and if you ask him nicely he'll make airplane noises and feed you the soup. won't kiss you but will run you a bath and wash your hair and scratch your head and rub your shoulders and tell you about his day

Sukuna - (sukuna girlies please forgive me/don't come for me, i don't think of this man unless i'm objectifying him while i look at fanart) very mean about you being sick and bullies you to stay in bed. will throw pillows at you if you try and get up from bed, will take your phone away from you so you bore yourself to sleep. will make you make your own tea/warm bevs because he's a clinically diagnosed meanie head. will not touch you because you're sick and have germs, but will refrain from doing any fun activities without you because you're one of his preferred meatbags

Higuruma - someone give this man a raise, he'll work from home and get your meds delivered to you. will order your favorite comfort foods because he has a list of them saved in his phone, you don't even have to ask. will send unhinged tiktoks/instagram reels to you while he works and will have all of his meals with you. will hug you and kiss the top of your head, or kiss your hair while he forgets about water boiling on the stove until you both hear it overflow and sizzle

So you did the DCP right? I’m considering applying for it this year and I’m wondering what I need to know about it before I make this decision (regarding if I get accepted or not). What was your experience?

i did it twice, once in 2022 and then in 2023. i just realized this post is kinda long so . its under the cut

in 2022 i was food and bev, kinda hated it since my location sucked. i was outside all day every day in the sun. nobody liked each other, ect. not the greatest. decent roommate situation. did not extend because i disliked the location THAT much. i cut my hand open on a keg and got bitten by a mystery bug. DID get to ride guardians like 5 times before it officially opened to the public tho in 2023 i was attractions and loved it. extended to nearly a full year. great location, loved nearly all my coworkers. pretty decent hours. roommates this time sucked ass though, to the point where i had to move out a couple weeks early. made some amazing friends here that i would not trade for the world. my training buddy and i literally live together now; our parents consider each of us like their own kid. i liked it enough tht i applied for part-time after and got it (diff location though sadly). i just recently got full time too since i ended up liking my new location well enough. i didnt really do many dorms events, i was usually working or thought they sounded lame lol. i came to the dcp to work so i spent most of my time actually working. i made friends and we did park days (uni and disney) but i never was one of the party bus every other night CPs. you will work a Lot depending on your location. CPs get almost the same hours as full time. part time will usually be willing to pick up shifts from you though. pay's pretty decent, but im from somewhere where the minimum wage is still in the single digits. flamingo can be ass but the access to the buses and events is nice. find out who in your location is the Creep and avoid them as much as possible. make friends for life and have some wonderful experiences.

ft/pt in your location might seem standoffish at first, but you have to remember they see new CPs like every week. some of them will be willing to befriend you, but it'll take a bit since they're so used to CPs leaving.

but then law school is actually really hard and he can’t flunk out because if he does he’ll never get his boyfriend back, and the TA in one of his classes notices and offers to help him study if he can actually get his shit together

and the TA, richie, is actually really sweet and knows what it’s like to have to crawl up from the gutters to be where he is today so he admires eddie for getting into harvard in the first place even if it was for a man, and as richie helps him study over the course of the first semester they get closer and closer

and then eddie gets picked for the internship and is no longer trying to fight to get his bf back but is still underappreciated and looked down on for being a flamboyant/femme gay man rather than his bf and his new partner because at least they’re “respectable”

and then the professor he’s been working for makes a move on him and when eddie rejects him he starts getting aggressively homophobic and kicks him off the team, and that’s when eddie decides to leave, and the rumors have been swirling but richie doesn’t believe for a second that eddie would try to sleep his way to the top and tries to get him to stay but he’s so convinced that he’s ruined everything that he leaves anyway

cue girlboss bev and eddie’s ex’s partner convincing him not to leave and come back full force and then at the end after he wins the case his ex tries to propose to him but eddie proposes to richie instead :)

Ok, so I'm a girl. I use she / her pronouns, and I'm bisexual.

Physically, I have long dirty blonde hair, hazel / green eyes, and I have pale skin with freckles. I also have glasses. I'm also around 5'6 ft. And I dress pretty normal ig. I usually wear band t shirts or tie die with bell bottom jeans or cargo pants and grey sneakers.

Personality wise im an ambivert. I'm quite shy around new people but very loud and open with my close friends. Speaking of friends I'm not very social since I have HUGE social anxiety but I do have alot of friends and get along with almost everyone. But I'm not very popular at school. And again speaking of school I get straight A's and im pretty goody two shoes in that area. + I've never gotten introubled but I often hide things from my parents and friends. I do get overwhelmed socially easily though and spend alot of time alone. Idk what else to add there hopefully that's enough

More facts about me / hobbies I have is that I really like music. I can play the piano and ukulele, but I more so enjoy others' music. Some of my favorite bands include The Beatles, Guns n Roses, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, etc. I also love movies. My favorite types of movies are horror, comedy, and coming of age films. Some of my favorites include Stand By Me, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Napoleon Dynamite. Also, according to my friends, I have a dark / crude sense of humor. Some hobbies I also have are playing the piano/ukulele, writing, reading, drawing, and sculpting. My favorite places to hang out with my friends are the woods, the arcade, my house, and the mall. I also only have 3 very very close friends. And lastly when I grow up I want to be a lawyer or a paralegal.

“You still good to give me a lift home?” Darry asks Paul. “Yeah, long as we can stop by mine real quick on the way.” Paul replies, swinging his bag over his shoulder. He slams his locker shut to reveal a struggling Darry. “Need a hand?” Paul offers. “I got it.” “Looks like it.” Darry gives one final yank and his locker door swings violently open. “Yeah, I got it.” Darry smiles a small triumphant smile. “I knew you would.” Paul grins, undeterred. “Uh-huh.” A moment of quiet passes. Until- “… Bev’s party?” “Sure. Wait, what?” Darry turns to face Paul. Paul makes a face, confused maybe. “Do you wanna go with me Friday-“ “To Bev’s party?” “Yeah. That.” Paul’s still making that face. Like Darry’s said something incomprehensible. Even though it’s Paul who’s generally incomprehensible, to Darry. Darry’s asked his family if they agree Paul’s hard to understand. They don’t think so, but Darry tells Paul his parents agree with him anyway. “Why the face?” Darry asks. Paul blinks, then smiles softly. “Nothing to worry about.” He confirms for Darry. “Yeah, but I want ya to tell me about it anyways.” “We can later.” “Okay.” Darry slams his locker shut with just as much anger as he opened it with. “Let’s head out.” Paul says. “Okay.”

Darry sits in the passenger seat of Paul’s car, Paul’s fancy-ass car that’s currently parked on the very edge of town out of sight of the world and hiding in the back seat. The radio’s on, and Paul’s telling some story, but he’s talking so fast, and Darry can’t understand too much of it. It’s fine though, because Darry just likes listening to Paul talk. Even if the words aren’t catching. Darry realizes Paul’s stopped talking. “Were you even listening to me?” Paul asks, sounding a little hurt. “Yeah, I was listening! Just, you know, the kind of listening when you’re hearin’ the sounds but the words ain’t stickin’. Don’t mean to do it, just happens. Y’know?” “No, I don’t know. That’s not something people usually do. Especially not to their best friend.” “I didn’t mean-“ “You’re kind of a shitty listener, Darry.” “I don’t mean-“ Again Paul says something Darry doesn’t quite catch. “You need to slow down!” He half-yells, pressing the butt of his hands to his forehead. “I can’t- you- I can’t-“ He’s pretty sure he’s lost his damn mind, freaking out like this in front of Paul. He can feel himself spiraling. His heart feels like it’s going to burst out of his chest, and he’s breathing is accelerating by the second, and Darry will jump off a bridge if those tears in his eyes go anywhere else and Paul’s gonna hate him forever andnothingwillberightifhe- A warm hand touches Darry’s shoulder. He leans into it and ends up with Paul wrapping his arms around him. “Hey, it’s alright. It’s alright, Darry. Talk to me?” Darry shrugs. “It’s stupid.” “It’s not stupid if it’s you. You’re not stupid.” “‘Cept I think I am. I can’t- I can’t- I can’t understand you mosta the time. You talk too fast an’ everything just sounds all confusin’. But it ain’t cause I can’t hear the noises. I can hear that you’re talkin’ but it doesn’t make sense and it doesn’t sound like words or nothin.” “You ain’t stupid.” Paul repeats. “You’re really smart. It’s okay that you need me to talk slower. I can talk slower. If you need something from me, I will always do my best, okay?” “Mhm.” Darry sinks further into Paul’s arms. He’s about to fall asleep, and he’s convinced he’s imagining it, when Paul presses a kiss to his forehead.

When Darry wakes up, he’s laying in the back seat of Paul’s truck, which is pulling into the Curtis driveway. “We’re at yours.” Paul says when he realizes Darry’s awake. Darry notices that Paul is talking slow. “Okay.” Darry sits up and climbs out of Paul’s truck. “I can call you later?” “That’s the other thing.” Darry looks down. “I can’t understand people over the phone very good.” “Guess I’ll just have to come in through your window, then.” “See ya tomorrow, Paul.” “Alright. Tomorrow.”

The truck is parked again in their concealed spot on the edge of town. They’re in the front this time. The radio is off and Paul is again telling a story, careful not to speed up with excitement. “-she kissed me. It was awesome, man. Amazing. But…” “But?” Paul makes eye contact with Darry, and smiles a sad little smile. “She ain’t exactly my type.” “Ya said it was a good kiss though?” “Yeah, but she ain’t the type I wanna be with.” “Well, who do you wanna be with?” “I’m afraid you’ll be angry.” “I ain’t gonna be angry at ya. You like a colored girl or somethin? You know that ain’t an issue, a bunch of the other greasers are colored. They’re my friends. I ain’t gonna be angry if ya like one-“ “It ain’t a colored girl. Even though there ain’t nothin wrong with likin’ a colored girl.” “She poor?” “Darry.” “I don’t know what you could possibly think is bad about her-“ “Darry, stop. I’m trying to tell you that I don’t…” Paul takes a slow breath. “I guess, I don’t exactly swing that way.” Darry thinks his heart will never beat regularly again. “You like boys?” “Uh-huh.” “Me too.” Darry says quietly. “Oh.” “But you still ain’t told me about this mysterious type-a yours. There someone?” “Wouldn’t you like to know?” Paul grins and bumps Darry’s shoulder in a way that horrifyingly platonic. Horrifyingly platonic after some interesting realizations on Darry’s part the day before. “Yeah, I would. Tell me about him.” “I-“ “C’mon. I ain’t gonna judge you or nothin.” “What if he’s a greaser?” “So? I think you deserve more than forbidden romance with a poor boy, but…” Paul makes eye contact with Darry, and doesn’t break it when he starts speaking. “He’s got brown hair. His eyes are brown. He’s, like. Crazy buff. Like, damn. He’s hot. He’s nice too, not just good-lookin’. The nicest person I know. He has a damn nice smile that makes me feel good. He’s smart, even though he thinks he ain’t. He’s just… awesome.” Darry thinks that Paul’s guy sounds a lot like him. But it sounds like just about all of his greaser friends, too. Two-Bit is all of those things. Dally is all but nice, and Darry assumes that Dally would be nice if he was prompted to be. Steve is all those things. Hell, Pony and Soda are all those things. So Darry smiles and says, “He sounds great.” Paul’s face slips from a smile for half a second. “Yeah, he is.”

“Darrel! You’re late for curfew!” Sally Curtis half-scolds Darry when he walks in the front door. “Sorry mama, I was with Paul.” “Tell Paul you ain’t gonna be hangin’ out with him if you can’t get home ontime.” The threat doesn’t truly mean anything, Darry knows. “Okay, mama.” Darry slips into Soda’s room and sits at the foot of his bed. “I gotta talk to you so bad.” Soda says, scooting to Darry. “Me too.” “You can go first.” “Okay, yeah. Paul’s gay. And he says he’s got a thing for a greaser, and I’m pretty sure it ain’t me, and… I really want it to be me.” “Well, shoot. How do ya know it ain’t you?” “Cause he woulda said if it was. We’re best friends. We don’t keep no secrets. Even if Paul wanted to keep a secret from me, he couldn’t, cause he has a loud-ass mouth.” “I’m sorry. That’s shitty.” “I like him a lot.” “I can tell. I want the void to hear my takes on Star Trek: Coda

Okay 2nd book time: The Ashes of Tomorrow by James Swallow (I am unfamiliar with his work). I enjoyed this one more than the first, despite some choices made here which bum me out. Still kind of feels like the Picard show ft. those other characters rn, kind of surprised how little Voyager’s crew have shown up tbh. Like we get a lil Paris and Torres this and Tuvok is hanging around on Titan but thats it. Like did everyone fuck off with Janeway into the galactic void? Comics ass issue with mixed continuity. Anyway.

We open with Sisko (wise choice) now captain of a galaxy class and responding to a time snake attack in cardassian space, he gets a vision in the middle of it and sees ruined bajor. He kills it with a time generator strapped to a torpedo (thanks Prophets). On Bajor, Kira sees her mother who shows her the same vision and disappears, the wormhole is being fucky and has been for a few weeks so she looks up in concern.

Picard and Co show up at Starfleet HQ to give the whole time war info, Riker has more nightmares and sides with the people saying ‘we deal with the time snakes because how the fuck do we deal with time war’ Picard is dissapointed as is everyone else. He talks to Riker and Riker has picked up the villain ball so hes like ‘you cant make this choice,’ before going off to have more weird dreams. 

Picard says fuck that and recruits a ton of people including Tom Paris who is supposed to be spying on him. They plot a heist and Geordie texts Data. Spock is meditating about reunification on Vulcan when he feels someone he mind melded with going through some shit and tries to figure out who it is. Pulawski (remember her? from TNG?) texts Bev some confidential files to help with Rene’s whole aging nightmare. Garak informs a semi comatose Bashir that Dax is dead which snaps him back to lucidity. Garak seems to be in charge of cardassia which isnt the worst option, but still not good. He smuggles him to Bajor to see Sisko (Sisko is heading to Bajor quietly)

Someone tries to steal the Enterprise from spacedock so Riker shuts it down (they apparently learned from Kirk lol). He boards the ships while being a lil paranoid and unstable and discovers Paris and Torres had stolen it and Picard and co escape in the Aventine. Riker is getting hot, meanwhile Spock figures out he’s getting brain touched by Worf who is being haunted by Time ghosts (of himself, from dead timelines), and decides to help him out. Alexander has joined with Worf and the renegades and is enjoying being with his terrible dad. You deserve better kid, which I guess he had because hes federation ambassador to Qo’Nos and had a hot Klingon lady wife who works with him. 

Data and Lal watch different species get got by the Devidians on some kind of turbo range sensors while hiding in the lab Soong built Data in. A ship comes out of orbit and Data’s like ‘what the what’ and Lal says she texted Geordie their address cause they’re too disconnected and need to do something. A time snake attacks the Klingon temple planet with the time crystals. Its wounded and so crashes into normal time, but splits into thousands of little snakes and attacks. Chancellor Martok, who was leading the defense of the planet climbs out of his busted Bird of Prey and charges the horde of snakes with his crew. Like Dax he dies off screen, tho with a much more appropriate end.

Data meets with Picard and Bowers (Dax’s XO now captain) and he manages to talk Data into helping. Lal is great shes very much on team ‘lets fight the wave of apocalypse.’ good kid. They detect a ship (The Titan) and Data reactivates his cloak. Worf gets hailed and Riker is being weird and references the shadows which makes Worf thinks hes having the same dreams. He opens fire and the Worf’s malaise gets the better of him and hes slow enough to respond that he takes some licks. Data interferes, launching drones from the moon that Tholian web the Titan so they can escape. Data explicitly says ‘I did it better than them lol’ They beam out and Riker is pissed, to the point of busting open the bubble in spite of the risk to the ship. Its too late they’ve already cheesed it. And hes pissed and calls Titan’s captain the wrong rank before going down to the holodeck and being confused about his history including how many kids he got. Wow, messy.

Will we get an answer for why hes being such a prick? Will it be satisfying? Altogether liking this part. There’s some references to some great machine ressurecting Data and Lal which I guess was a prior series. I will not be doing research on that. Sounds cool or whatever. Really enjoyed Tom and Belanna being lil shits to wacky Riker, feels like something they would do. Tuvok hasnt gotten too much to do other than be profiled by Riker at any moment anything goes wrong. Which is fucked up dog. Excited for when Cap Vale and Tuvok throw him in sickbay for acting crazy. More DS9 so far which is neat too. We love the Emissary, we love based terrorist Kira Nerys (even if she has taken the cloth).

Nice that they’re incoporating stuff from the new series (like the time crystals on klingon temple planet) ((assuming that wasnt already a thing and I forgot). Nice to throw in Spock to make it extra delineated from the main canon timeline. But also, lol lmao, of course Spock is going to get involved.

Donatello had given in and actually moved to explore the city. He wanted to scope out where they’d apparently be staying and pinpoint ‘safe’ places and such. Leo and Raph too distracted to keep up with things like this. He was happy to do what he could. He was mapping out places on his phone to refine later and make a proper 3D model when he realized he’d ended up at the Pier. He wasn’t a stranger to water and carnival games like this but the vibe here was different. It was far more relaxed than the city here and it honestly unnerved him. He wasn’t used to mild, enjoyable weather and nice, smiling faces. It all made him incredibly homesick.

He paused to text Mikey back that he was okay and swung his phone with both hands around to take a picture of the Pier to show his younger brother only to have the device collide with ice cream. He froze as the frozen treat fell from the hands that were holding it and on to the ground. Of course, this would happen to him. Now his phone was sticky and the total stranger was disappointed. 

“From the bottom of my heart, my bad.” He tried to make his smile as charming as possible but was braced for the argument about to ensue.
