You know, it's interesting from my perspective to be in this position, right? Not to diss or put down "goatkisser" anon here as I'm gonna lovingly refer to them as, but you gotta understand, ya'll: when you're a writer you put a lot of YOURSELF, or your experiences into your characters, right? We've all had fictional crushes (if you have romantic or other types of feelings, if not: please disregard and also valid), we've ALL thought about Mega Man X from Mega Man X. This is a universal experience. Stop looking at me like that, but the point is: I MADE this Mega Man X. So it's just a little surprising. Good writing has vulnerability to it, and you expect people to laugh, to make light of, to critique parts of you that you put out there when you do that. You don't expect people to go "ah yes the homunculus of every America's Funniest Home Videos moment in your life made flesh. I would date that." That's the one that gets you, at least it got me. I don't wanna be John Funkiller, murderer of joy and whimsy, but like imagine you drew a comic yourself, and you had your character tell a story from YOUR LIFE of something funny that happened to or because of you, and then someone looked you dead in the eyes and said "I want to make out with them". That's… I mean, there are probably other parts to it beyond that story, maybe they just REALLY like his horns they ARE cool but you know that part of you is STILL THERE. There's also an element of: Okay, if I say yes, am I about to see someone go way too far with this? Chat, I'm a voice actor, I've had people upload my voice to websites so they could chat with characters I've played. Ever had a poorly written fanfiction robot attempt to flirt with you while having an existential crisis because you needed to hear enough of the voice back to confirm it was your own voice? I don't recommend it, I'd leave a bad yelp review.

Anyways, I'm GLAD people like Asriel, but to keep it a BUCK FIFTY WITH YA'LL, that's… I mean, look. How are you supposed to respond to that? 😅 Will I STOP YOU? riza comes across as very serious and proper... fuery thought she would make him return black hayate to the box in the rain if no-one took him in... i think riza doesn't even know she has resting bitch(?) face. she could be enjoying her team's antics but you wouldn't know it to look at her face... just a small smile showing... and she thinks she's emoting the 🥰 she's feeling...

i will die by the hill she's autistic. arakawa couldn't have her more autistic even if it was intentional. if you pay attention to riza any further than the scene she trips roy down you realize she's actually very silly....she does and says silly things while always having a neutral expression, and like you said she probably doesn't even notice she looks like 😶... it's moe... has a rest bitching face but makes time travel jokes with a serious expression, tells roy to not die with genuine concern that looks like she's jinxing him, draws cat whiskers on roy when he says he wants a mustache, and names her dog Black Hurricane^tm completely serious! she doesn't get social cues and she is moe and silly and funny and feels a lot and but is bad at expressing herself and thats ok!!!! not at all like the funkiller and nagging interpretation a lot of people have of her. quoting roy, she may look harsh but underneath all of that she has!! a gentle heart!!

the constant erasure and being forgotton, the missing representation and discrimination from inside the queer community and outside can get very tough- so if you dont feel prideful or dont feel like celebrating at all, thats totally understandable and fine. you're allowed to not feel like it. you're allowed to feel distant from other queers celebrating, you're allowed to be hurt and sad. you're allowed to be jealous. you're not a "funkiller" or a "downer". just dont let the negative feelings consume you, okay? things will get better for us eventually. don't give up. we got this ♡

But I also think Jaxon would envy Chili a lot. She was baked to be a thief while he was brainwashed into one, she's also not stuck in a restaurant having to eat people, she's living in a kingdom and goes on adventures, but most importantly (IRRC) she calls her brother Red Pepper a funkiller because he disaproves of her lifestyle but their relationship looks more healthy than Jaxon with Clucky :')

It's something that could be said of at least two other characters, Marius and Jean Prouvaire--and in fact it is said , directly, of Prouvaire! But it doesn't seem to be used to create any specific commonality between the three characters; they're all friends, but not with any special reference to that shared family situation.

It also might mean something about his relationship to his own family-- but that never seems to become relevant again, and "My Mother is the Republic" Enjolras in general seems to exist almost without a family of origin; is that the point? is the line just there to keep him from being completely ethereal? Hugo messing with my ability to make crack theories about Enjolras being an actual ethereal ability, Victor Hugo funkiller killer of fun

Is it a Saint Just thing? In that case, should we actually be reading that ( " fils unique et riche") with the emphasis on only son instead of only child (it can be either way!) ? Does he have siblings we never know about?? and in that case, why give the same descriptive to Prouvaire? Should we be reading it strongly as "only child", and it's meant to emphasize his isolation from social ties apart from the cause and his friends?

Is meant to be kind of a Jesus reference? an "only begotten son" thing? (again: why call back to it with Prouvaire then?)

well actually while i did see it i didn't really care for it? like people are just having fun, plus im not that attached to tfone bee in fandom spaces, he's been through a lot of mischaracterisation out of the movie, so generally i don't pay attention to it (aside from the megs and bee stuff, which, from one particular artist, gave me a trauma responce, so there is another thing i avoid that came out of tfone fandom side)

generally i see how you would hate it but im trying not to be a funkiller (even when i really want to and god knows i have my moments)

I seriously suggest everyone to create their own boundaries online and stick to them, curate your little corner of the internet and don’t wander into blogs that you know will upset you. Last night I blocked everyone else that I consider unhinged and toxic. Littlemiss and her anons and that morgan person. I’ve never seen so many hateful and miserable (sorry mod, I’m going to say it) bitches in my entire life online, shitting on people’s experiences who met Seb yesterday and had a wonderful time, bullying those who shared their photos with him and I could go on and on and on.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that this is the only gossip blog I visit because I know I won’t experience any of that shitty behaviour here and it’s a nice experience to come here and I really don’t need to read anything that upsets me anymore.
