The fact Gabriel was hesitant to kill his evil brothers (or just straight up refused to do it, despite them being cosmic-level bad guys) because he couldn't help but see good in them, love them unconditionally because they were family, just for both of them to kill him without any semblance of remorse.

Gabriel was the only archangel worthy of the title. His heart was pure despite everything.

Still, he died thinking he was a useless broken being, undeserving of forgiveness, a coward who would be rejected by Heaven if he ever came back.

Except he wouldn't.

Gabriel was a wayward son of a Heavenly Father, dying by the hand of his brother, sacrificing everything for the sake of those he loved.

Sacrificing the life he deemed to be worthless, convinced he was nothing but a failure.

I will never be okay with this, I just won't.
