So I've been teasing this character in my tags/posts for a while, and she's finally hereeee. Anyways WHOOPS, another self indulgent Lethal Company character who is basically the Wario version of [Cap'n]!

Meet Echo and her crewmates: Orion (goggle'd circle-shaped one), Spade (short one with big arms), and Guy (shapely GNC one). Being the opposite of Cap'n's crew, they're all men EXCEPT for Echo!

At first, she started out as a grown woman having a one-sided, very pathetic beef with Cap'n, but she evolved into an angry teenager who projects all of her issues onto someone who literally doesn't know she exists (and subsequently does something horrible to herself to rectify this weird beef). Did it work? Well no, come on, look at her, now she's even worse GOKJDFMKDF

And when I say "one-sided", I mean it. Genuinely Cap'n doesn't know who she is, like, at all. I think the first time they meet will be the inevitable werewolf fight between the two of them when things get out of hand.

Anyways I love the kidnapper fox, but alas, she was too swag for this world, RIP to a real one that lasted a month and a half. u_u)!!

An Unfortunate Delay

After crunching the update for these past few weeks, we realized that it needs a few more days in the oven! Since this will be the final update to Bonnie's Bakery, we want to make sure it ships in the best possible state. It's close to release, but it just needs some more time. We apologize for the delay!

Like a lotta folks I do have negative feelings about DRG updates stagnating in favour of spin-offs but at the same time 1) it's a small dev team and they deserve to work on what's fun for them and 2) Rogue Core looks really cool so I'm easily won over lol

As far as my music WIPS go, the one I'm most excited about is the studio version of the Zelda suite! I've mentioned a little bit about it already, but I'm getting the ensemble that played with me on my recital last month to join me again this summer/fall and create a studio recording of the Zelda suite. I'm currently working on getting click tracks set up for it so that I'll be ready to record everyone when the time comes. I can't wait to share it once it's ready!

The entire Google Play report debacle is precisely why I think PB rating WHB as 16+ and not 18+ is a misstep on their part, especially considering they've already had previous experience of difficulty with LU's release, knowing that WHB is much raunchier and contains much more controversial content compared to LU.

Of course there's the other issue of Certain Groups of People taking offense to the content of the game, but I feel like the Play Store would be more likely to ignore such reports if this game was rated 18+ in the first place.

Still, it's hilarious that the reason why this debacle happened was due to profanity when it...was already a thing from the start. Like where were you when the game first dropped? Why not report the game then if you're really reporting for profanity? Why now? Y'all are a riot I swear.

Okay look. I know it's not life or death and sure I'm gonna wait because I want the items I ordered, but I think it's a little ridiculous for a company that took payments for merchandise over a year ago to just... keep pushing out the shipping date.

"Oh no guys! The stuff that we said would be released and to you by Christmas of 2022 will be delayed to Q1 23! Uh oh! Looks like it won't be here until Q2!! Gosh, guys, I hate to tell you this, but your order won't ship until Q3 8("

Now we're coming up on the end of Q3 and I just KNOW another email is in the pipeline.

Because here we are, OVER a year since I ordered the stuff from Iam8Bit, and the ONLY updates I've gotten from them (while other people have long since received their merchandise) is "Update regarding your update regarding your update" on the things I purchased - again - over a year ago.

This is not the first product they've produced. They need to pick a reasonable date in which they feel production will ACTUALLY be accomplished, and stick to it, rather than send out endless emails about how they made an oopsie.

Like honestly at this point I would rather them just ship it unfinished lmao.

How to dou play twst? Is there a way I translate as you play?

Hi there!

1. Although I'm not fluent in Japanese, I do have an okay understanding of spoken conversations, so on my first playthrough I mostly rely on the VAs acting and characters' visuals to know what's happening.

2. Whenever I'm not sure what the dialogue is, I use the camera in my old phone to translate the screen in my current phone in real time.

I try to use a couple of different apps/sites at the same time because digital translators are never 100% accurate. Google Translate sucks a lot of the time, so I wouldn't rely on it entirely to begin with. I use Naver Papago and DeepL Translator, also Jisho . org for quick vocab lookups. These are just reference tools that could never really replace actually studying and learning the language, but they get the job done if you only need them for personal use and you understand the limitations they have.

3. What I find the most reliable while playing is the commentary/translations of real people who are actually fluent in the language. Since twst is a popular game, you can find a lot of real-time reactions/translations on places like twitter when updates drop.

If you're willing to wait a couple of days to read the chapters, there are also some really dedicated people here on Tumblr and/or YouTube who go out of their way to translate hours of gameplay for free just because they love the game. (I love them with my whole heart, I know how time-consuming this is 💖)

A lot of people just complete the gameplay and then go for fan translations to actually read the story!

In conclusion: where there's a will, there's a way 🌻
