When I finished reading the chapter two and got to the commentary part, I came to the conclusion that "ООО, какая крутая глава! Мне понравилось то, что при описании упоминался цвет слоновьей кости, ну типа слоны, слоновья стопа хD-" would be too simple and boring...

Omega x Gemerl Bullet Fic

Dammit. I'm already invested in these robotic blorbos being together. It's definitely much later on during Sonic's lifetime. After many many sparring battles and adventures that they have been on together. They see the world through different lenses and it is Omega that first steps into Gemerl's worldview.

Let's say it's because Eggman is dead freeing him from his prime mission. I like to think Omega reached out to Gemerl first because he's not blinded by rage anymore. He can analyze his surroundings sees Gemerl taking care of Cream and Vanilla.

Maybe he wants to do that for Rouge and Shadow, if the Ultimate Life form would let him.

They spar like normal one day, and it is Omega who comes clean to Gemerl about wanting more than anger in his life now that he has nothing to direct it to.

Gemerl promises to help him under the promise that Omega no longer threatens robots and organics that are less powerful than him.

Omega agrees begrudgingly and Gemerl talks to him about empathy, helping him navigate his feelings easier.

Gemerl has him practice with Sonic, Amy, Tails, etc. and things go well for the most part.

Omega is very awkward about it, but he was not programmed for this. Going outside of existing programming is very difficult for a robot who is still somewhat hellbent on destruction.

I think Gemerl is the one who begins to create the new strain of code first as he watches Omega's attempts at becoming more personable. He's still a war machine through and through as Gemerl is, but he has designated 'go crazy blow shit up' times now.

I like to think of Tails designing obstacle courses and robots for Omega to destroy. He makes them really complicated because he knows he likes to be challenged.

After a bit, Gemerl decides to join Omega whenever he does go on a controlled rampage. It becomes a friendly competition and Omega suddenly enjoys Tails' challenges more now that he has someone to compete against.

It became a popular thing to watch and crowds would gather to bet on who would win. It was during one of these challenges that Omega would unconsciously write his strain of code next.

It all happens one day where in the morning Omega was practicing manners with Cream and Vanilla then at night he was racing against Gemerl to see who could destroy more drones. Omega wins in the end and Gemerl just claps, nods, and congratulates him.

They lock eyes and that's when it happens. A spark in both of their servos at the same time as their respective strains of code finish building. It was something neither had expected or felt before. It brought them both to their knees and worried everyone who was cheering for the winner.

Fast forward to Tail's workshop and he's doing check-ups on them both. They are working fine and Tails asked them to explain what happened.

Amy walks in at the right time and asks them to repeat what they had just said. "Wait. So you felt something at the same time, when you looked at each other?!" Her eyes grow excited.

Suddenly, Tails gets it and he's like "No way! But they're robots! How can this be!?"

"Gamma had love! If that type of altruistic love was possible, then I'm sure romantic love is too!"

"WHAT!?" They literally yell at the same time and both of their systems crash right after. Tails calls Shadow and Rouge to come get Omega and then Cream and Vanilla for Gemerl.

Amy sends a letter home with each pair asking Omega and Gemerl to come visit her separately if they would like so she can help them through this difficult emotion.

Cream is actually worried about Gemerl because Amy didn't tell her what was wrong. She felt it was Gemerl's place to talk about it if he wanted to.

When Gemerl does wake up he's so bewildered. After an hour or two of coaxing he does tell Cream and Vanilla. They are both very excited and supportive of him. They ask him what he wants and he's like "I want to punch him in the face, but I want to be close to him when I punch him in the face. That's as best as I can describe it."

Omega wakes up a day later and he is angry. Like before Eggman died angry. Rouge and Shadow can see how paranoid he is and they just let him get his anger out by sparring with him. "We saw the race. What happened?" Shadow asks.

"And what's this note from Amy for?" Rouge asked. It only made him angrier and he didn't speak. "Woah big guy! Chill out! You are going to pop a circuit if you keep flailing like that! Do you want to go back to Tails?"

"NO! I WANT...I WANT..." Omega is able get a hold of his rage and the truth eventually comes out. "I WANT TO PICK HIM UP AND THROW HIM ACROSS THE ROOM...AFFECTIONATELY."

Shadow is actually bewildered that robots can love. It's not his area of expertise, but he lets Omega know to come to him if he needs to vent out any anger or frustration. Rouge is elated. She calls Amy out of earshot of Omega and they squeal about it together.

Cream gets involved and they set up a time where they have the robots meet Amy. Omega and Gemerl don't really say no but they don't say yes either. It just happens.

When they first see each other again, it is super awkward. Omega's the one to punch Gemerl first. Gemerl attacks back as Amy is trying to talk them through their feelings.

Amy is distraught as the two fight, but realizes there is no malice behind their attacks. They are just trying to figure out their own emotions and punching each other was their way of doing that.

Their attacks slow down and they are just staring at each other now. Gemerl speaks first. "I...enjoy fighting with you. You have come a long way, since we started working on your emotions."

Omega speaks next. "YOU ARE MUCH MORE TOLERABLE THAN YOU USED TO BE, YET YOU HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A WORTHY OPPONENT. I HAVE FOUND MYSELF EXCITED TO COMPETE WITH YOU AS OF LATE."

"That's it! There's the attraction." Amy pipes up and explains attraction as it naturally occurs in organics. "Whatever you choose to do with it is your call. There's no accounts of it happening in robots at all! But communication is the most important thing. Talk to each other and work through your issues. You won't be able to solve every problem you have with your fists. I believe in you both!"

"But what should we do? We don't have mouths or organ systems for regular relationships." Gemerl makes his worry clear.

"You both have hands right? Start there! See what holding each other's hands will do!" Amy wraps up her first session with them, and leaves them to their own devices. They are to call her if they have any questions or if things get out of hand.

Omega and Gemerl just stand there awkwardly with each other. "HAND?" Omega questions in confusion and holds it out to Gemerl.

Gemerl takes it with both hands. "Hand."

"I WANT TO PICK YOU UP."

"Do it then." Omega picks Gemerl up and it's the beginning of something neither of them expected.

Ch 3 snippet:

The retching was loud, and Danny’s chest burned with the pain of heaving and feeling his skin pull uncomfortably where the scabs were still tender, but he couldn’t force it to stop for several minutes. A nasty mix bile and red spit sat pooled in the toilet. Oh shit, blood? From where? Fuckfuckfuckfuck, “Gamma alpha upsilon tau—” Danny was forced to stop as a second round of retching started. He eventually leaned back, steadying himself against the wall of the stall. “Gamma alpha upsilon tau iota mu epsilon,” he coughed once, “42 63 28 1 colon 65 dash 9.” Repeating the code helped. He focused on the cadence of the words in his head, biting his lip hard and squeezing his eyes shut. The phantom feeling (haha) of a needle being jammed violently into his neck came back to him. He felt tears start to pool again before falling down his sunken cheeks, and Danny gripped his neck to try and smother the feeling away. He hadn't expected such a small injury to transfer to his human half. His ghost form must have been running real low on ectoplasm.

ok im posting about sigma again so i have my headcanon for his backstory to link back to since its relevant to the fic im writing.

to elaborate on what i wrote in this post, i think sigma was either an "extra" early e-100 unit produced that eggman didn't end up needing at the time of sonic adventure and was in storage until the time of sonic battle; or that eggman threw together another basic e-100 unit for testing purposes. either way, i think that he's the green e-100 seen in the gimme shelter base:

my headcanon/theory is that he was a test model for omega's power source. my crumbs of evidence:

on that blue computer in the middle of the room there's the symbol for omega, which is a good enough indicator for me omega was already being planned/worked on

the e-100 line already being up to 121 at this point is also a good indicator of where eggman might be at in working on future models

sigma is. objectively pretty hardy. he survived being discarded by eggman which translates to probably being yeeted out of a ship over the ocean or onto a cliff or something, was in the ocean for who knows how long, then got decked by mecha knuckles hard enough to knock him offline. and he was, cosmetic damage aside, fine. and lets be real eggman probably put him through the wringer too

if he had an animal power source, i doubt he/it could have survived in the ocean that long. we know eggman was playing around with chaos emerald energy powered robots during sonic battle, but i don't believe that stuck...so what is sigma powered by, exactly

omega has his own power source going on. he is basically a perpetual motion machine. fascinating.

if sigma is powered by basically a prototype of this, and has the same self-repair as gamma, him surviving a lot of bullshit makes sense

eggman's reasons for trashing him are twofold in my mind. one, he perfected the crystal matrix and didn't need the prototype anymore, but also sigma started acting suspiciously like gamma due to the same glitch in the e-100s' coding. in my mind it manifests similar, but different...sigma starts fixing up badniks eggman had marked for destruction thinking he's being helpful lmao

so yeah tldr sigma is powered by a prototype version of the power source omega has and eggman ditched him bc he didnt need a prototype anymore and he was acting like gamma and that was a problem.

7) what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them?

"Hate" is too strong of a word, but Sage and Surge. For the former, I only see her as a bland reference to Rei Ayanami and a washed down version of Gamma, and needless to say, I don't like how the fandom has decided that she's proof that Eggman Secretly Has A Good Side. For the latter, I've ranted enough about her :P all "style", no substance, messy writing all around.

ngl, i have been conditioned by past experience to sideeye a little people who swear up and down that two unrelated characters are "so sibling coded". they usually tend to be very nasty if someone ships the same character in a romantic way... i wish it weren't the case :(
