Hey so quick/LONNGG yapsesh about Eternal Sugar undercut. CW for religious symbolism I guess?? Idk?? Just for people who need it
So, I've been thinking. We don't know what her deal is. She's the most,,, PLESANT looking beast. In terms of intent. The others look apathetic, sadistic, and overall just. Malicious. Directly attacking the cookies in their teaser.
But from her?
She just. The yawner. She sleeper. Attacks from the skies.
So what does this mean. What does this mean. What does thAND DAVE COMES IN WITH THE HOLY STEEL CHAIR
Ladies and gentlemen. The Garden of Eden.
Let me explain look,,, look at this. Look at this.

A garden! Wow! So nice,,, so beautiful! Waoh! This is so nice! This is s–What's that? What- what?? The fuck is that?? Computer– COMPUTERRR?? ENHANCE IMAGE.

Are those god damn mother fucking snakes? Those are GOD DAMN. MOTHER FUCKING. SLITHERING SNAKES.
"Dave, what's your point with this" AH AH AH!! LET ME GET TO THAT DEAREST READER.
The garden of eden had everything Adam and Eve could've asked for. Bliss, Food, Water, Love. Everything. The one rule was to not eat from the Forbidden apple tree. And they would've obeyed! Had it not been for the snake.
The snake had convinced eve to eat the apple and fall from grace. But– it was the TREE that grew the apple. The snake only used it's tools at hand to deceive the human.
The tree did nothing. It just sat there, looked pretty, and allowed the snake to pluck it's fruits.
Eternal sugar is the beast of sloth. She sleeps IN THE TRAILER. SHE HAS ANGEL WINGS, A HALO, YET HIDES NOT HER DEVIL WINGS AND TAIL??
My theory. Is that Eternal Sugar is INTENTIONALLY sitting back and watching all the beasts. Allowing them to do all the heavy work. Shadow Milk being right before Eternal Sugar only FURTHERS MY POINT!!!
SHE KNOWS SHES DANGEROUS. SHES NOT HIDING THAT. BUT SHE OFFERS SANCTUARY, REST. SOMETHING HOLLYBERRY REFUSES TO DO BECAUSE OF HER WILL TO PROTECT HER FRIENDS.
Shes doing nothing, and that is EVERYTHING.
Anyway this was written at like almost 12am none of this makes sense probably but uh credits to :
@mozzarellastyxpizzeria
For helping me out w the theory. Uh it can add onto this if it wants but otherwise have fun with this slop any crk fans ever this is the ONLY time I will talk about the game

Does anyone else think each Tozu Theater is about the different students?
I haven’t seen people talk about them much, and when they do it’s assuming they’re things Tozu himself thought, but I’ve noticed some interesting patterns. Here is who I think each one is about:
Tozu Theater #1 - Wolfgang Akire

I interpret this one to be about the concept of children unintentionally becoming exactly like their bad parents, something clearly alluded to with Wolfgang. And considering it’s theorized his father violently murdered his mother… isn’t it relevant that the lawyer unknowingly attacks a woman (Diana) in a similar way?
Tozu Theater #2 - Jean Delamer

When thinking about them in relations to the students, this was an easy connection to make. This Theater delves into an interesting background with him building a ship and his “cream-colored hair” friend doing the same, and it ends with…
Doesn’t this sound like the Tozu’s strategy of making some blackmails vague in order to make students “pester each other” for information? Which presumably happened to Jean when Wolfgang confronted him about his blackmail, becoming a plot point in the Class Trial?
Tozu Theater #3 - Eva Tsunaka

This one was tough. Initially, I could only vaguely connect its setting to Eva’s school-based talent. Until realizing I overlooked it almost immediately due to its silly presentation… which is the core of Eva’s issues with her talent. So, I dug deeper and… well. Just take a look:

#wolfgang akire#Eva tsunaka#jean delamer#project: eden's garden#project eden's garden#p:eg#p:eg tozu#p:eg spoilers#Eden’s garden#mine#‘dete aren’t you overanalyzing’ yeah that’s what makes it fun.#can’t wait for ch2 to either debunk this theory of mine OR have more theaters about different characters that I can interpret#(btw I consider the one where he went ‘tmr I’ll do it not 2day’ 0

PROJECT EDEN'S GARDEN SPOILERS!
Chapter 1 spoilers
Theory concerning wolfgang's whole deal
Okay so like. His mom's mega dead, right?
"Whoa! Back up! Where the fuck did you get that from?"
Alright sit down, lemme show you something.
Remember the prolouge?
I sure didn't! So I rewatched it!
Take a look.

Wolfgang freaked out over Wenona claiming that Cara was the aggressor, implying her murder was justifiable.
At the time, Damon along with all of us just assumed he was being a lawyer about it and had put himself on the side of the injured party. But I don't think it was that simple.
I think he was having an episode. The only evidence for this in the prologue itself is the in-game acknowledgment that Wolfgang's arguments had shifted to being based on emotion alone. It's literally used for a tutorial!
And he says himself in his FTEs that he doesn't normally conduct himself that way in an actual courtroom. So his freak out wasn't his standard, but he doesn't give a straight answer for why he acted how he did.
But chapter 1 as a whole gave us what was necessary to start connecting some dots.
Have a look.
The blackmail Damon got. The photo of Wolfgang's parents.
Look at his mom.

Now look at Cara.
By no means are they identical, wolfgang's mother has a mole on her face, which Cara lacks, but I want you to note the hair and eye color specifically. Keep it in mind.
Now let's look at the back of the card.

"Like father, like son"
"Beneath a sheep's skin hides a wolfish mind"
The game sorta hands you a part of this. Wolfgang's father did something bad. Something that, allegedly, Wolfgang either has repeated or simply had the capacity to do himself eventually.
So what did Wolfgang's father do?
That much isn't told to us, but from Wolfgang's hallucination induced meltdown, I have an idea.
I think wolfgang's father killed his mother.
Let's get into it.
Starting with his hallucinatory episode.

When Wolfgang initially sees Diana, I think he sees his mother. The way he talks. The way he apologizes to her and calls himself a failure for not being like her. We learn in his FTEs that his mother is the only other lawyer in the family and his sole reason for becoming one himself.
However, when Diana walks over and takes his hand, he switches and becomes angry and violent. Going as far as to attack her with a knife.
I think, when Diana grabbed his hand, either something she said or something she did caused the hallucination to switch from a vision of his mother to the vision of his father.

Suddenly he's no longer sad when he says he's not like the person he thinks he's speaking to. Suddenly he's smiling at the fact he's "not like them." Because he's talking to his father now.
He wants to be like his mother and never wants to be like his father.

The line "bring her back" implies that his father, the person he was hallucinating in Diana's place, took his mother away from him.
And the reason I think that's it, relates back to his smaller scale meltdown during the test trial.
Wolfgang started talking about how it was inexcusable to kill a woman.
Though that could be chalked up to chivalry or what have you, I think there's a much more personal reason as to why he felt so strongly about it.
Because his father's actions were inexcusable.
They weren't self defense.
And witnessing a dead woman who bares resemblance to his late mother be accused of deserving it may have struck a nerve.
The killer for the mock trial had no identity given, making it all the easier for Wolfgang to project his father, or a man like him, onto that blank stand in.
I can paint a scene
Wolfgang in the courtroom as a child, maybe even a witness to the murder, watching as the defense lawyer for his father makes every excuse in the book for him. Claiming that his mother was the aggressor, that she had a weapon, that his father had no choice but to "defend himself" from her attacks.
While, in reality, Wolfgang had seen a very different situation play out. Whether he spoke up and was dismissed for being "too young" or was unable to properly testify due to the traumatic experience that is simply being in a courtroom at all, he was unable to bring his father to justice.
He was unable to do right by his mother.
I think that'd be a pretty good motivator to practically race into law school as a teenager. To become the ultimate lawyer at 22 years old. So he could make up for his previous failures.
I think Wolfgang has been carrying a heavy burden from a very young age. And to return to the "like father like son" comment, I'm willing to call that a misdirection. I think when Wolfgang is implied to have "a wolfish mind beneath sheep's skin" or " being a wolf in sheep's clothing," the actual truth is that he's a deeply emotionally scarred person who has no choice but to force a facade of stability and confidence to push though it all for the sake of those around him and his goals. Basically, he's masking.
So, technically, just like his father, Wolfgang is a mentally troubled man pretending to be okay. And the kidnappers used that misdirection to imply he had sinister intention for pretending just like his father had pretended to be a man his mother could trust. When in reality, their motivations could not be any more different.
Or maybe I'm just being silly. Teehee! 🧡
And a small side note. The word "wolfish" implies intentions other than violence.
Lust, hunger, and greed mostly. Though, I'm willing to sidestep those options cuz Tozu is absolutely the kind of bitch to reword a common phrase to make it sound more flowery only to unintentionally imply some nasty shit.
Wolfgang gives no tells towards being a creep. Not a single Freudian slip left that man's mouth. Not even in FTEs. Grace would have been the killer for chapter 1 if he was like that. They literally shared a bed. And, despite their cute dynamic, if the two had actually done anything canonically, we'd get more obvious tells in the game. Those walls were shown to be pretty damn thin...
There's a bit more under the hood of this theory, but this post is big enough, and all other supporting information requires enough explanation and red string to justify their own posts.
So stay tuned for:
• Further theorizing about wolfgang
• And the possible parallels between wolfgang's hallucinatory episode and Eva's execution
#project eden's garden#project eden's garden spoilers#wolfgang akire#im so proud of this theory. i cant wait for it to be wrong!

yesterday in the official server for Eden's Garden, someone else and I were talking about Desmond's behavior in the first chapter. And we both came to the simple agreement of "Desmond was lying about not knowing about the taser."
However we also came to another idea which was "Eva misinterpreted Desmond's blackmail to mean he has a weapon in his room no one knows about."
Desmond's blackmail was: "With many weapons at his disposal, Desmond guards the only one he trusts."
I'm sure many of us previously assumed just like Eva that this meant Desmond was guarding a weapon, something to protect himself with in case of an emergency. And during the class trial, Desmond admits that his room *did* come equipped with guns and other dangerous ranged weapons. Though what if this blackmail meant Desmond was guarding a person and not a weapon?
The "Only one he trusts" could be him guarding someone in the school, the blackmail could've been revealing that Desmond has some kind of alliance or agreement with another student. Think how Peko was Fuyuhiko's "bodyguard", it could be a situation like that basically.
And the more we started thinking about Desmond maybe being someone's guard or protector, the more his actions began to make sense. Desmond was the one who went around and checked everyone's locks, and he was also the one who suggested they have bunk buddies. I was at first under the impression that Desmond did this for everyone's sake, but after his blackmail was revealed, him having a weapon that's hidden in his room wouldn't make sense. For starters, Desmond agreed to change his own room with someone else, which In my opinion leaves the weapon potentially unguarded. And Desmond is pretty careless to just leave something like that by itself, especially since Eva broke in and took his taser (That he supposedly had NO idea about lol)
Desmond also wanted to choose his own bunk buddy, but was shot down by suggestions of them splitting up via gender. Desmond's reaction to this is pretty muted and he doesn't seem to mind the whole idea. We couldn't decide on whether or not Desmond in this theory is protecting a boy or a girl, but if he was protecting one of the boys, it'd make sense why he didn't have that much of a reaction from it.
It's an interesting idea that I really liked. So far, the people we think Desmond could be protecting in this scenario are Damon, Kai, Eloise, or Wenona

Pardon my french here but WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS [see Nifast's whole collection he cooked so hard with all of them]
#project eden's garden#p:eg#p:eg spoilers#wolfgang akire#WHY IS HIS MESSAGE DIFFERENT TO EVERYONE ELSE#kinda interesting how everyone else is “a” something. a lie (eva). a change (diana). a choice (mark). a hope (damon). a sacrifice (ulysses)#ect ect. but wolfgang is “not like you” breaking that implied “a” rule.#it feels like it's both a nod towards his last words and that he might be inherently different to everyone else in a way we don't know yet#but hey that's just a game theory#there's so much in here that jumps out to me immediately but i will make a note to get to that at a much later date#momento rambles

With you being a Wolfgrace shipper, what's your thoughts on the fact that they canonically fucked

I personally think it's absolutely hilarious, and also very telling when it comes to how much trust Grace actually had in Wolfgang
i am under the impression that a decent chunk of my followers are minors, so i'm going to put my thoughts under the keep reading. please don't open this if you're under 18 (or don't want spoilers for P:EG Chapter 1)!
LMAO WOLFGRACE REAL
i guess it makes sense that people would fuck during a killing game (? <- confused aspec), and the clothes scattered around the room also certainly had that... implication. even if Ulysses confirms that Wolfgang was just a messy guy, the fact that it was both of their clothes either meant that they were matching each other's freak or... matching each other's freak 😏
the thing that really gets me about this is the timing. roommates were assigned on the night of Day 2 (area investigation day), and the Ulysses/Grace swap happened on the night of Day 3. meanwhile, Wolfgang turns up dead in the morning of Day 5. this means that, assuming that Wolfgang and Grace were "sleeping together" (AKA, they fucked at night), the fucking occurred on the night of Day 3, Day 4, or both.
DAY 3
if they fucked on the night of Day 3, this means that after swapping the rooming assignments around, they immediately started fucking. was this the purpose of changing rooms? was Grace rushing Ulysses' move out because she wanted to have sex with Wolfgang faster? did Wenona and Ulysses know that this would happen?
LIKE HELLO????
WAIT I THOUGHT THIS SOUNDED SUS WHEN I FIRST READ THE SCENE BUT I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS REAL OH MY GOD. THEY DEFINITELY FUCKED ON THIS NIGHT
we also know that the dorms are not soundproof, and in fact have pretty thin walls, as Damon is able to hear Jett sneeze from in the hallway. Wolfgang's room is right next to Mark, and right across from Ingrid's. i don't know if it's been confirmed which of Jett and Mark and Toshiko and Ingrid's room each pair is staying in respectively, but this means there's a decent chance that any of them could have overheard Wolfgang and Grace fucking. there are children about, you sickos (/lh). is this why Mark is such a hater all the time.
also, fucking on Day 3 means that they slept together on the night before the bonus laundry scene. did Ingrid invite them because she knew there were things she didn't want to wash? ,':/
well now i know what was on your mind, buddy.
DAY 4
Day 4 is funny because it opens up the possibility of Grace seducing Wolfgang into gaming with her. ladies, now you know how to make your man step away from the pachinko ;)
i would also have to wonder what was going through Grace's mind the next morning when Wolfgang woke up with a stomach ache. pussy so bad it makes your partner fall ill. where was i going with this
anyways yeah, it really is crazy that two people who generally seem really untrusting of others were able to grow that close with each other that fast. naturally, just because they had sex doesn't mean that they had to be interested in pursuing anything romantic, or therefore more (emotionally) "vulnerable." however, given how upset Grace seems about Wolfgang's death, and the fact that Wolfgang suddenly started calling Grace "Grace" as opposed to "Ms. Madison" (even if the voice line still says Ms. Madison) at the Day 4 breakfast, I would guess that there was mutual interest to some degree.
that also makes Wolfgang's actions on the morning of Day 5 all the more intriguing. if he really did care about Grace, that in my opinion increases the likelihood that he truly did take the knife for self defense. otherwise, if he became the blackened, he would necessarily be signing either his or Grace's death warrant. he definitely could care for her but value his own life and secret more, but again, it leans towards him lashing out at Diana being a result of the hallucinogenics. i'll have to chew on that more in the future.
thanks for sending in the ask :) it's fun to talk about shipping stuff sometimes, even if it always embarrasses me haha
#project: eden's garden#p:eg#p:eg spoilers#wolfgang akire#grace madison#wolfgrace#madire#fanganronpa#this is probably the dumbest “theory” i've ever written but i'm fine with that bc it was funny af to write#i guess i'm team just day 3 but tbh i think it could have been both#i had to rewatch a couple of their scenes for this post and once you know good LORD did they actually make it obvious#or maybe it was obvious the whole time and i'm just oblivious 😅#ask tag?????

oomf (hi @dangantism) and i cooked up this theory where damon dies at around chapter 4/5 and kai takes up his role of protag..
spoilers for chapter 1 and yapfest below the cut about this theory/au if it doesnt become true
i also happen to really like the idea that kai wears damon's jacket for safekeeping/memory to keep damon close to him.. and the small sprout things on his head.. one of them is gonna be the ahoge.. it also kinda parallels diana and wolfgang with how diana decided to take up wg's mantle..
my personal (albeit insane) prediction is that eloise would kill damon for being the reason desmond got executed the previous chapter.. desmond killed someone to protect eloise and eloise helped cover it up.. but since damon found out, plus being an absolute asshole to eloise sometimes (her ftes for example), eloise hit her breaking point and killed damon. it also would be very interesting to see a partially hidden sequence of events of how damon dies.. like the viewer watches as damon slowly dies from an unknown culprit, as in the cg shows the grey man, theres no voicelines from the culprit, no sprite, nothing to indicate whodunnit until damon decides to bolt it out of the room and goes to kai, where we could have a cg of damon slowly dying and kai unable to help, with damon unable to give out clues since he's delirious from like blood loss or smth, then it would be a bda and then a smooth transition to kai's perspective and new role as the protag..
and my personal hc is that kai, before the trial, would wear one of damon's blazer as a memory so he could still keep damon close.. its also really interesting since kai doesnt seem to have many friends outside of his online persona, and the one from highschool he spoke about seems to be no longer in his life (either dead or cut him off we arent sure) since he acted melancholic about her, so i think this would give kai the determination to avenge damon since he was kai's closest friend ever since he became an influencer (if thing keep going positive between the two, which i think so since i believe kai's gonna be the next support after the red herring that is eva)
sure kai is gonna be absolutely heart-broken and distraught over damon's death but i believe that kai would recognise the gravity of the situation and focus on investigating for damon's sake even when he doesnt want to (as shown in ch0+1 he doesnt like investigating) because he understands the dangers of the killing game (as shown in his cautious nature, like for ex: the drugs in the pharmacy) so he would stomach it and do his best to find damon's killer
ok ok i realise how much of a yapfest this is.. yikes im obsessed LOLL.. THATS ALL

Ok but...
Are we not going to talk about how affected Damon can get when it comes to acceptance and validation? All throughout the segment where Damon had to choose to take back his accusation on Diana with logic or emotions, that throughout the entire thing, the main takeaway was how Diana's actions towards him got to him. The Pathos route shows his internal conflict more but even if the player goes with the logos route, the game still finds a way to show that Damon's emotions do affect him and his judgement. When he sees Diana and hears her cry, his empathic side comes out and part of him begins to feel conflicted on his initial accusation. The others are scared, frightened or angry at Diana, but in the midst of the chaos, Damon begins to feel for Diana. He seems to be aware that Diana was the cause of his inner turmoil yet is unsure of the reason.
Currently I think part of the reason may be simple. It's that Damon has known and felt Diana's kindness before the trial. For in the brief moments they spoke in Daily Life, Damon quietly takes in his thoughts when Diana gave him and Eva the benefit of the doubt. At this point, Damon was probably going on the assumption that the others, especially Wolfgang were not going to be welcoming to him, especially after no one seemed to initially accept his words and mostly deemed that Damon just thought he was 'better' than everyone else. So seeing that Diana still wants to include the two that were casted out and isolated from the rest, Damon adheres to it. To some extent it almost seemed like he is rather drawn to this kindness on a subconscious level. As though he is rather unused to how Diana acts around him, with the way she playfully flirts with him in the first free time event. As he seems speechless whenever Diana expresses joy or excitement even for the little things, when she asks him a few questions in both free time events. Damon clearly has not spoken to many others around him and his lack of sociability is present. But it also shows how sensitive and reactive he is in the situations he is in with Diana involved.
Screen shot below shows his visible reaction to Diana's. He just said 'Sure, I guess.' Provided how excited she looked it makes relative sense that Damon didn't expect someone to find so much delight in his response. But despite how much Damon tries to not express himself as much as Diana does, as he tries to act calm and cool, he does quite the opposite. Reacting to when Diana jokes that Damon could work on his tie. Provoking a reaction out of him. Parts of it even dives on what I could guess as a lack of self esteem for Damon. Because even though he's a loner and doesn't quite wear his heart on his sleeve, he finished the first event feeling overwhelmed. I believe this is due out of him not being used to such flattering company that he didn't quite know how to process it. And provided the way he said it, does seem to establish that Damon at his core really shows that he is lonely and has a sense of self loathing.
Damon almost seems to take in those words like it's some sort of mockery towards him. Like as if, he views self-help as a pointless thing that serves to make fun of him. It rather makes me pity Damon when I saw this. Yet even though he felt exhausted, he seems to feel flattered and touched by her attempts to comfort him. Something he continues to process to the next free time event, when he confronts her on her attempts to please and flatter him. And because of his curiosity and lack of knowledge around kindness, he always finds himself thinking about it. Becoming drawn to it, like something in him deeply yearns for. But his mind fights Damon on it, as he is caught up in the killing game. Because in the game, becoming too trusting with others could make him an easy target. He is suspicious of her behaviour in the second event and even into the night before the first body discovery.
Because as much Damon deep inside wants to be cared for and accepted, he still cannot fully trust her kindness. Yet he is still left thinking about it, as he ignored Tozu's announcements and lets his thoughts stew until he returned to Kai's dorm. This was the last major interaction between him and Diana, up until the trial. And as we circle back to the trial, that is where we see Damon's feelings come to light. before the non-stop debate Damon becomes conflicted about his logic and his feelings. Though he has yet to fully know and trust Diana, a part of him didn't seem to want to give up the sliver of kindness that he's finally recieving. In a game of uncertainty, fear and death. Diana's kindness almost feels like a shelter in Damon's heart. He doesn't want to lose hold of it, nor does he want to be met with the disappointment that Diana could have actually killed Wolfgang. From the way he reacts in the moment, it almost seems like Damon had emotionally craved for something like Diana's unconditional kindness. Even when suspicion was still on Diana, Damon seemed restless about the accusation until he can fully assure that Diana was innocent and that she did not commit the murder. Even after suspicion on Diana starts to clear, that Damon remains vigilant. He isn't as quick to jump to a culprit but he internally reminds himself that while Diana could have thrown the car battery, later into the trial, that it is only a possibility as of now. It is not the truth as of yet.
It's almost certain that Damon has grown attached to Diana, or the kindness she offers him outside of the trial. Perhaps it is from being deliberately isolated is what causes him to become drawn to her. Her concern and affection. For even if it was or wasn't genuine, Damon desperately craved it. These thoughts persist, regardless if you played logos and pathos. But subtly hints more on Damon's emotions if the logos route is played. Yet either way, he recognizes that it's because of Diana, Damon's judgement was affected by her. She's already left an impact on him that he doesn't fully comprehend.
He goes hard on himself for caring so much about how Diana felt, and how much her feelings affects him, that the pathos route doubles down on. His attraction is something he seems to be attempting to push away, even though it is unlikely that his attraction won't go away for the time being. Even if the future may look grim, and that Diana has plans to follow in Wolfgang's footsteps, it's not going to deter Damon from having such profound feelings and attachment. It really makes any possible interactions all the more intriguing with their opposing personalities and views. Yet the two could grow closer in ways we've yet to expect. As with Damon is now left raw and vulnerable from his losses at the end of the chapter, he's even more at the mercy of his emotions rather than not. More so with the way Diana is making him feel. She sees the good in others and because of her influence slowly brings out the good in Damon. Even if he's unsure of it, or ready to acknowledge it, she too could help Damon change for the better. Perhaps if she became a rival, it is to challenge his character and his heart. It's an intriguing take to the rival role if the game goes in that direction.

Hey Eden's Garden fans, who wants to know the answer to the Tozu plush / traitor perk puzzle? If you do, I solved it (ФωФ)
For anyone curious as to why, I love math. They said it was a math puzzle and a coordinate plane, which are both things I love so I had to, that and I couldn't find anyone else online who has solved or even wanted to.

As for how, it was quite simple, actually. I immediately assumed the 10. 10 was the domain and range, the interval being [-10,10] for both the x & y axes. So, I took the ending points of the large 4 point star behind mini Tozu and marked the little stars in relation. That got me to the answer of either 8365 or 6583, but I think 8365 is more likely. You're welcome any other pjeg fans who had to have an answer. You can always count on math nerds to solve your problems (^з^)-☆

I want to take a moment and make a quick post about what I think Grace’s animal motif means, because I’ve seen a lot of in-depth analysis for other motifs but the discussion around the rabbit gets reduced to fertility which I think is a huge bummer. Funny initially, but now just a bummer.
The rabbit is considered “unclean” in the Bible, but that comes from a mistranslation from the original language being changed to English. Unclean means “morally wrong”, “impure”, and “evil”, so food for thought. Typical ominous motif implications aside, from what else I could find, Grace is basically the opposite of what a rabbit symbolizes: sensitive and gentle. I don’t think I have to explain how those two terms aren’t necessarily the first to pop into mind regarding Grace. However, the rabbit still holds other meanings. The rabbit also represents rebirth and new beginnings, which I think could indicate an upcoming Grace character arc. Since Wolfgang wanted to keep the group together, Grace could be motivated by Wolfgang’s death and try to uphold his wish (or talked/forced into it- we know how Damon is lol) Grace could work towards being *the group’s* loose canon rather than *a* loose canon. Assuming the ‘unclean’ passage is relevant, a character arc for Grace would represent her moving away from being ‘unclean’ (behaviour like how she treats Eloise) to ‘clean’ (closer to the gentler bullying she used with Wolfgang), and growing as a person.
Frankly I’m unsure what direction Grace’s character is currently going in. Before and during most of Chapter 1 she was definitely Wolfgang’s muscle, and even after he died she was still demonstrating aggressive behaviour. It would have been a logical assumption to say the group (or whoever the next leader will be) needs to secure her loyalty now that Wolfgang is gone, but after Eva’s execution Grace went silent, and couldn’t even look at anyone. She bounced back quicker after being shot by Mara than the aftermath of the 1st trial- whether or not Grace will be herself for chapter 2, I’m not sure. It seems like either Grace will “go back to normal”, or she’s tired. It seemed like she was barely holding on through that trial and now that Wolfgang is avenged, she has to recognize that he’s gone and there’s nothing more she can do. The second route, I think seems more plausible, and it also seems like something that better aligns with this theory- someone can offer her something new to fight for. I find Grace a really interesting character and I hope she sticks around for a long time.

quick analysis of the imitation art:
i might expand on this later if i think of anything else
damon- presumably the kid he's watching pet the cat is his younger self? he's smiling, but definitely seems melancholy. i think he's looking back on the person he used to be before he was an ultimate.
eva: i think this is representative of how she wants to be someone else with a better, more interesting talent. the blonde girl has her head raised slightly higher, showing she's more confident. also, if you combine the two you get eva's normal design, so this probably shows eva the ultimate mathlete with the person she pretended to be to seem cooler- the two of them combined make up the eva we see in the killing game.
desmond: okay so. this one's relatively clear, but still pretty interesting. he's being run through with spears, while the people holding them have arrows in their backs in places that would likely be fatal. the way the light from the spears is arranged around his head looks like a halo. he's also smiling, with his eyes closed. he's referred to as 'the key' as well, so it shows that desmond will likely sacrifice himself and die a martyr, and his death will be the key to the group's survival. also, the others having arrows through their backs suggest that desmond harmed them. maybe some kind of dr2 chapter 4 situation? or he's a traitor?
eloise: i honestly have no idea. it's pretty clear that she has some sort of anxiety disorder, so 'the hunt' may have something to do with what happened to her to cause that? she looks younger and is clearly afraid. or maybe she's running away from the violent side she shows in her ftes. either way this one's pretty ominous
toshiko: again, i'm not sure. the version of toshiko in the school uniform is glitchy, while kimono toshiko looks uncomfortable and slightly afraid. the blur across school uniform toshiko's mouth is really interesting as in the original photo, the girl's face is exposed, meaning that the blur was added for this image of toshiko specifically, and afaik toshiko is never shown with her mouth uncovered. also, she's placing the mask over kimono toshi's mouth. she looks gentle and protective. i'm guessing this means toshiko covers her face as a way to protect herself somehow, maybe due to something traumatic she experienced in school?
wenona: this is a really confusing one. it might show that she's hiding parts of herself? the yellow eyes with slit pupils are definitely the eyes of a predator, but beyond that i'm not certain. the water's murky.
ulysses: ok. this is obviously related to his talent as the ultimate historian. the way i interpreted it is that the fungus and roots pushing through the classical statue represent how studying history tends to give you a negative view of humanity. the statue seems beautiful, but there's decay growing through it, and its eyes are blank and dead, its head broken and lying at its feet (i don't really know how to phrase this, so i might talk about this if i make a post about my ulysses theory). the floor is covered in water, which obviously is reflective, which might be showing how rotten parts of history reflect back onto modern people's actions? it's also worth noting that ulysses has his back turned to this, and isn't wearing his glasses. it could also represent his deteriorating state of mind? i can't see what the notebook says unfortunately
mark: the guy in the hospital bed looks a lot like mark, so it could be a family member he's lost or will lose soon. if he's from a country without free healthcare, he might have started producing music to pay for their treatment? 'the choice' might be suggesting that he made the choice to abandon this person in order to attend eden's garden academy. or, and i think this is equally plausible, it's mark himself in the bed. he's pale, skinny, and extremely underweight, which suggests he isn't in good health. also, his eyes are fixed forwards instead if at the man in the bed and he looks afraid, suggesting he's looking at the future. i'm not sure what 'the choice' would mean in the context of this, though. or a past suicide attenpt, maybe? the guy in the bed looks older than mark, though.
diana: i can't really find anything that interesting. i know there's another, much more interesting official art of her so i'll probably talk about that one at some point. she is manually drawing the heart, though, and it'll fade away once she stops.
wolfgang: like everything else, this shows wolfgang as having two parts. his good side -the sheep- is kneeling on the ground praying, while the wolf is bringing a knife down onto his head. the crown he's wearing is crooked, and his expression is desperate. two hands are holding onto him, which probably represent his parents forcing him to be crueler than he really is. the sheep is smiling, suggesting that wolfgang is happy to lose his good side to please his parents. 'not like you' suggests that wolfgang is beginning to rebel against others', especially his father's, expectations of him.
kai: butterflies represent change, and the pair of legs shown in the mirror are kai's. this shows kai looking at his old self. the change represented by the butterflies is probably (and hopefully) that he's trans. his position might also suggest drug abuse or an eating disorder?
jett: this one is interesting. i like the theory that the jett in the killing game isn't the real one and was actually responsible for jett's death, which is why he hasn't removed his suit. you can also see 'confess' engraved on the base of the trophy, and 'here l'' on its main body-presumably the full is 'here lies'. there are also a pair of vengeful-looking eyes on the trophy. it might be the real jett though, and referring to the death of his career after the accident? or he caused the accident and someone else died. the face on the trophy might show what's left of his own?
ingrid: people look to ingrid for help. she's usually the person providing comfort, and is one of the most common speakers in trials. the hands might represent people grabbing onto her for comfort and help. her facial expression and tilted head, as well as the way the light shines directly on her, frames her in an angelic way. however, her eyes are blank, suggesting that she views helping and comforting others as simply 'an obligation'. her talent too, probably, if it's a family business.
grace: the original photo is atarashii gakkou :D (obviously this is completely irrelevant, i just love atarashii gakkou.) the group of friends is just four different versions of grace. there are rabbit ears drawn above the central grace's head. rabbits are often associated with being gentle and passive, which contrasts with the baseball bat grace is holding. edit: the other girls are eva, wenona, and diana. i guess that means grace is driving her friends away again? back to history repeating itself. huh.
jean: he's the man holding the gun, with only his shadow shown in the image. this means that he may have used to be a pirate, which is why he reacts so strongly to being called one, and that his past still casts a shadow over him.
cassidy: i don't have much for this one either, but i think her lack of a mouth represents that she is afraid to say the wrong thing around her fans, and repressing parts of her personality to fit their expectations of her. the version of her in the back is the real cassidy, as opposed to streamer cassidy.
cara: yeah there's a lot here. i kinda want to make another post about my theory about the game as a whole, but here's the rundown: cara's death is the 'reason' the killing game is taking place. she's represented by a faceless mannequin because the participants don't know who she is, and the crown placed on her head signifies her importance to the game. she's stitched to the ground with thread which resembles blood and ringed by blood. her head and dress are similar colours to the wall, making the blood the centre of attention. the participants don't care who she was, only that she was murdered.
this doesn't make much sense as i am very dehydrated and sleep deprived and also coming up with all of this on the spot but oh well, if you have better theories or anything to add or something please please give me them/gen

p:eg theory
yes it's about ulysess
Spoilers for Ulysses' FTEs
I think that Ulysses has Damon's blackmail
Idk if this is something that the entire fandom has already agreed upon and I'm just late or something but I wanna talk about it
So I've been thinking about what Uly could have POSSIBLY wanted to tell him and it was just a blank
But then I thought
what if he has Damon's blackmail but he's worried that Damon will get mad at him if he finds out or something?? And that's why he didn't tell him in the first place
So yeah that's what I think Uly wanted to talk about
On a kind of different note
WHAT is Ulysses' blackmail and WHO has it??

silly little Malevolent theory
(just fyi I'm only up to part 33 so no spoilers beyond that thnx)
I was just thinking about the question of whether or not it's cheesy for a character in a piece of media to say the title of that piece of media (hypothetical example: Steve Harrington saying "come on guys, we've been through stranger things"). I'm hyperfixating on Malevolent atm so naturally that's where my brain went, and while it's innocuous enough of a title and the characters saying it would make perfect sense, I realised that only two characters (thus far) have actually said the word "malevolent".
One of them was Frank (or at least a voice claiming to be Frank, more on that in a minute) in Part 18.
He showed up in Arthur's right ear and started contradicting everything John said, yet was never wrong, as John was evidently still struggling with being truthful after spending so long as the eldritch embodiment of lying. But we never really had confirmation that that voice was or was not Frank. Who was the only other character to use the word "malevolent"?
Kayne. In Coda.
Kayne whose voice is closer to Harlan's natural voice than any other character. Kayne who doesn't believe in a fourth wall. Kayne who's clearly supposed to represent the fans. Kayne who literally sat on the sidelines loudly chewing popcorn while John sobbed and tried to save Arthur's life.
So all that to say...what if the voice in Part 18 wasn't Frank at all, but Kayne trying to drive even more of a wedge between John and Arthur because he thought it would be funny? Bearing in mind that Arthur and John don't meet Kayne until Part 20, meaning they'd have no reason to suspect him here.
#garden of eden#god between the post the tags and the alt text I've had to type the word malevolent 11 TIMES#I'll tell ya what it gets harder to spell every time and now it doesn't look like a real word#anyway just a silly goofy theory that will either remain silly and goofy or prove to be horrifyingly prophetic <3#malevolent#malevolent podcast#arthur lester#john doe malevolent#kayne malevolent

Do you suppose that the students' hypocrisies will become their downfall in later chapters? Like, if it would straight-up kill them somehow?
I wrote earlier that I believe their dishonesty is the thing tied to their Hypocrisy and that if they're not honest about the very simple fact that they don't trust one another, more deaths will occur.
I definitely believe that the veil of Hypocrisy mentioned in the chapter 1 title is the thing obscuring the characters common sense and reasoning, it's stopping them from being able to actually work together and figure out a way to escape.
Someone earlier pointed out to me how the motive that Tozu introduced never even factored into the murder, outside of Desmond's blackmail letter letting Eva know there might be something in his room she could use for her plan. The real reason Wolfgang died was because he had helped manufacture this false sense of peace and familiarity between the whole class when there is no trust or honesty between them. Wolfgang and the others were already participating in groupthink and ostracizing those who didn't fall in line by day 2 of being in Eden's Garden, which is a little wild when you compare them to the other Killing Game crews.
I do think that now that Wolfgang is gone that soon we will start to see more, and more of the students become more open about how they actually feel. Namely, I think Wenona will be the first to just outright say she didn't trust the others and that she was wrong to just follow behind whatever Wolfgang asked.
Wenona was the only one at the end of the trial who questioned Wolfgang bringing the knife with him for "protection".
I also think their survival depends entirely on whether or not they're honest about how they feel to end the rampant hypocrisy. It's obviously okay to be a hypocrite sometimes, but in this ONE extreme scenario, it is the thing that's holding them all back.
So the more hypocritical a character is, the more likely they are to end up dead in my opinion. The first step to getting out of a killing game is trust, and if there's no honesty there's no trust at all, and if they're all just pretending to trust one another that's just a heavy layer of hypocrisy that makes it even more difficult to trust anyone.
Hypocrisy also makes it harder for people to forgive transgressions, which was the case with Eva. She couldn't look past Diana's hypocrisy earlier so she framed her, she hated Wolfgang for being hypocritical purposefully and casting her out so she killed him. (granted there were definitely other factors to this incident but the hypocrisy and dishonesty played a large part anyways)

this stuff might be on the wiki or whatever already, but in the case it's helpful for anyone i made a diagram of trial seating and a character color sheet!
#project: eden's garden#p:eg#fanganronpa#i won't tag everyone cause it's not really related#unlike dr/dt i don't think there's any evidence of there being a former class trial seating placement so they only get one#(with normal sprites to boot)#side note but this made me realize just HOW similar jett and jean's names are#they both have four letter long first names starting with “je” and a last name starting with d#y'all think that'll come up/be utilized in a murder at all? like a note signed “JD” or whatever? or is it just coincidence#probably coincidence given that eloise and eva are also both ET. but it's odd#(eloise and eva are aliens theory dropping when?!?!?!)

The Rules & Regulations of Eden's Garden Academy
From the moment I played Chapter 1, I found the rules and regulations of Eden’s Garden Academy rather curious, especially in terms of their often times… peculiar phrasing. So, I decided to compile all potential points of exploitation (aka loopholes), as well as generally anything that interested me relating to them, in this post.
Admittedly, some of the points I make are more logical and fleshed out than others. My aim is to cover as much ground as possible, so I am attempting to address all my thoughts. Please be kind :D
Rule #1
This rule defines the student role as that of the “unwilling participants of the killing game”.
Does that mean that in turn a *willing* participant, like a mastermind or traitor, would be excempt from the rules addressing the student body?
The final requierement for the students’ release appears to be Tozu’s approval, the requierements of which are alluded to in Rule #8 and his post mock trial speech.
Tozu is not directly addressed as The Headmaster in the rules, but the imagery and him referring to himself as such are, for the time being, satisfactory pieces of evidence.
Rule #2
We already know that serving potential culprits counts as one of those “exceptions”. Whether there are more exceptions cannot be determined yet.
Rule #3
Good to know Tozu and Mara aren't technically allowed to harm the students for no reason.
Rule #4
“Any” Student could be leaving room for there to be multiple students held accountable for a single murder.
“Responsible” is a pretty broad term to use. Even though this is par of the course with Danganronpa, the idea that “responsible” might entail something different for this game should not be disregarded.
This Rule could potentially be throwing a wrench in my theory that not all killing game participants count as Students, since that would excempt them from this rule as well (though this is not necessarily true so I will stick to my guns)
Rule #5
Again, pretty straightforward.
Rule #6
Whilst the rules do not specify when the voting stage begins, Tozu has since clarified that it is either up to his own discretion (read boredom) or has to be a unanimous decision from the participants of the trial (most likely excluding the accussed).
It is interesting to note that the student body is referred to here as “Killing Game participants”.
This could potentially tie into my Rule #1 theories about accomplicies of the killing game organizers being excempt from the rules regarding “students”. Alternatively, it could imply that a 3rd party, or someone that does not qualify as a “Student” would also have a vote (which would actually point towards the theory being true).
Rule #7
The phrasing “*a* Blackened” rather than “*the* Blackened” supports my theory that Rule #4 leaves room for the possibility of multiple people being considered the Blackened for a single murder. Though, in retrospect, I do think this rule may be alluding to something different…
Currently there is no rule addressing the potential of two separate murders overlapping, the idea probably being that, need be, a rule addressing this situation will be added, as Rule #10 permits. However, this rule might be providing us with some insight as to how the voting would work in such a scenario.
Let’s assume a potential Rule #11 only specifies which one of the two Blackened students would qualify for graduation from Eden’s Garden Academy (presumably the one that commited the act first) and does not mention anything related to the participants’ conviction (as in, which Blackened they should vote for in order to avoid execution). That would mean the killing game participants would still be operating under Rule #7. Thus, they would simply need to vote *a* Blackened, which could be read as *one* of the two Blackened. And since no other requierement would have been set, the choice of who would be executed would be soley left up to the participants. This alligs with the overarching themes of the game.
Or, I am overthinking this and the double murder system, assuming there is such a case, would operate the same way it does in canon Danganronpa.
Relevant to my second point, as well as my theory on the meaning of Rule #4, the phrasing “then they alone will be executed”, removes the possibility of a double execution (which should be a given already but it is good to have some back up).
This is the second rule that uses the term “Killing Game participants” and it is just as noteworthy, but for a different reason entirely. Because, logically, the non- Blackened students (or, well, participants) that would survive the conviction of a Blackened, should be referred to as “Spotless” (a term that *is* used in Rule #8). I believe this is due to the fact that a Blackened in a double case chapter can survive with the rest of the Spotless students if another Blackened is convicted, hence explaining this particular phrasing. Whether this specifically applies to the 2nd culprit, like in Canon Danganronpa, or simply the one that does not gather the majority vote is unclear.
Rule #8
As previously mentioned, this is the first, and currently only, instance of the term “Spotless” actually being used in the rules.
The first half of Rule #8, regarding the execution of all Spotless Students in the event of the votes going towards a Spotless Student, is, or at least should be, pretty clear in its meaning. However, the fact that it mentions that only the Spotless, as in Non- Blackened, Students, would be executed, it raises some questions aS to what would happen to a second Blackened, since the rule wouldn’t currently apply to them. The fact that the term “Spotless” was introduced in this rule specifically make me even more inclined to think this, leading me to my second point:
The phrasing “the remaining Blackened” could have some interesting implications, as, once again, it does not define the number of Blackened Students it applies to.
Currently the characters are operating under the assumption that there would be no point in accomplices, as only one of them would be granted release. However, this might be an oversight on their part. If both accomplicies of a case count as Blackened Students by the rules, then there actually *would* be merit in cooparating, as it would ensure that both of them escape if a Spotless Student is voted incorrectly.
Additionaly, if my interpertation of Rule #7 is correct, one of the Blackened could potentially serve as an insurance for the other, ensuring one of them will survive regardless of the trial’s outcome.
This rule also defines one of the conditions under which The Headmaster, aka Tozu, would grant someone’s release from the Academy.
Rule #9
The “punishment” mentioned most likely refers to the electrecution of the Students through their Tozu Trinket, or, for a more significant offense, execution by Mara, as illustrated by Grace's various outbursts in the prologue.
Rule #10
The bane of everyone’s existence, but as straightforward as can be.
Lack of Certain Rules
For the time being:
As previously mentioned, there is no rule addressing the possibility of there being two culprits.
There is no rule regarding the activation of the Body Discovery Announcement.
There is no rule determining nightime and all current facilities are available to use at any time.
There are also no rules about sleeping arrangements or prohibiting entry to certain places.
There is no rule determining a maximum of students that can be killed by a single blackened.
Also:
Despite Tozu mentioning that in the case of a guilty party never escaping, the killing game would conclude when 2 people would be left, there is no rule stating such a thing (unlike in V3). That could imply that there is more to that condition than one would assume.
TLDR;
Rule 1: It defines Students as “unwilling participants of the killing game”, perhaps introducing idea that there may be “willing participants of the killing game” that operate under a different set of rules. It also confirms that The Headmaster’s approval is required for a student to leave the Academy.
Rule 2: The destruction of school property is strictly prohibited, unless it serves someone attempting to kill a fellow student. Other exceptions may apply.
Rule 3: Students hurting Tozu or Mara is strictly prohibited. In turn, Tozu and Mara are not permitted to harm The Students, unless they violate a rule (or a rule deems it so).
Rule 4: Whoever is responsible for a Student’s murder is considered a Blackened, whilst the rest of the Students are the Spotless. There is a chance multiple students can be held accountable for the same murder. Additionally, the idea of who qualifies as a Blackened is left vague, perhaps alluding to more indirect involvement in a case also counting.
Rule 5: Shortly after a Student is killed, the surviving Students are required to participate in a Class Trial.
Rule 6: At the end of the Class Trial, which is either determined unanimously by the participants not being accused or Tozu himself, the voting stage that will determine the Blackened will commence.
Rule 7: If the majority of votes go towards a Blackened Student, they alone will be executed and the Killing Game will continue. As long as no new rule contradicts this, the rule currently implies that in the case of 2 Blackened Students, the Spotless participants would need to uncover only one of them to avoid execution. Additionally, there is a chance that there will not be a rule determining which one of the 2 Blackened Students they need to vote for, perhaps leaving the choice up to them. The remaining Blackened Student will also avoid execution for their offense.
Rule 8: Should the majority of the votes go towards a Spotless Student, all Spotless Students will be executed and the remaining Blackened will be granted release. Since the rule specifically mentions that only The Spotless Students would be executed, perhaps in the case of Two Blackened they both get to escape.
Rule 9: Rule violators will be punished, presumably through their Tozu Trinkets or by Mara.
Rule 10: New rules can be added and will come into effect immediately.
Am I possibly overthinking this?... I guess we'll all find out.
