Your strangled gasp barely passes your lips as you are pulled down all of a sudden by his Evol. You struggle to move, the gravity around you is much heavier than it should be. Kneeling before him, you hear the sound of a zipper being pulled down, and then seconds later, his cold voice commanding, "Now suck."

When you hesitate, he reverts the gravity around you, and you nearly tumble forward, unprepared for the sudden lightweightness again. that's the warwick we should have gotten in S2. vander the grey, not vander the unproblematically whitewashed. vander the revolutionary who brought his gauntlets to that bridge to fight for a future; the base violence necessary for change. vander with blood on his hands, just as much as the partner he scapegoated for it; tried to bury in the pilt along with his own guilt; not just vander who felt aw shucks real sorry about the attempted murder that one time. vander the complex. vander who sold out zaun's resistance to ease his own shame. vander the reckoning with his own complicity; his own violence; his own original sin. vander whose murkiness helps vi unpack her black and white worldview, and let go of the rose-tinted past to which she clings; understand jinx, even understand silco; understand that it's not just about Individual Bad People doing Individual Bad Things to Individual Good People, and Individual Good People who have to defeat the Individual Bad People, but that this is something far bigger and far older than any of them, a whole rotten system of misery and oppression that turns people into monsters. that the thing that turned vander into a monster, METAPHORICALLY, happened long before he met singed.

I like to think that Curly and Jimmy had parallel lives on earth.

That Curly was an only child and his parents died shortly after he became a captain. They got to see his biggest accomplishment but he had no one to really celebrate it with after. Jimmy has siblings and his parents and they didn’t care when he got the co-pilot job cause he’s just the back up. Sure they’re happy for him but no reason to celebrate.

They could both barely afford rent. That’s how it is that late in capitalism and the world the live. The difference is Curly could down size, Jimmy would end up down on the curb. Jimmy had flings and Curly had partners. Both fleeting but Curly pulled away and they left Jimmy.

I like to think they lived parallel to each other in a way they both noticed. Curly felt a kinship and Jimmy felt resentful. Curly worked to make a good deal with what he had and Jimmy scorned his dealt cards and wanted the hand he thought Curly had made.

Do you think it keeps Jay up at night? The fact that before Skybound he really was pretty disrespectful of Nyas boundaries. Do you think he ever thinks about it and feel horrible becuase he had to be tortured into being a better person instead of just getting better. Regulus’ door slammed open with a bang, shocking him awake. He peeked out from under the covers, squinting one eye open and a look of groggy confusion only to jump again with the realisation that his boyfriend's bright and smiling face was right in front of his. Soft puffs of air brushing against his sleep-streaked cheeks.

“Jamie what’re you doin’” Regulus slurred, his voice thick as he rubbed the crust out of his eyes. James was crouched next to his bed, practically vibrating with barely concealed excitement. His joy was palpable, infectious, and Regulus couldn’t stop the corners of his mouth from turning up into a soft smile.

“Reggie it’s warm outside! It’s sunny!”

Humming softly and pushing himself up into a sitting position, Regulus blinked softly at James. “Wow,” he mumbled with an unimpressed expression, before stifling a yawn with his hand, “What does that have to do with me? It’s too early to be that lively.” He was clearly trying to look serious (although in the opinion of James Potter, who was always right, he just looked cute) and James pressed his lips together to make sure he didn’t let any giggles out. He did not succeed, earning himself a scowl from his tired (and beautiful) boyfriend.

“It means we get to do something fun! Go on a walk, have a picnic, a footie match, the opportunities are endless!” James gushed, speaking a mile a minute. Immediately, a horrified expression overtook Regulus’ face and he began shuffling backwards, pulling the covers with him and stretching them over his head. A dumbfounded whisper of ‘footie match? who does he think I am’ leaving the blanket cocoon.

A valiant attempt at hiding, James thought, though not enough to stop him, who immediately pulled the sheets off the bed and held them behind his back with a chuckle. Regulus hissed at the sudden attack of cold, curling up tightly and still in the process of shuffling away, though now also shooting a glare towards James. Yeesh. If looks could kill he’d have at least a million gravestones, but every single one would be worth it.

The way he'd buckle against orders, but then relent beautifully when Q laced his voice with command just so. The way Q hadn't been able to stop himself from watching him, even knowing--wrongly, it turns out--that they were incompatible.

Standing here, now, Q feels like he's been cored out by a lightning strike. His insides burn with the realization, with how possessive he feels, how much he needs to be the one taking care of him. To make this right.

All in due time, though. First he's going to take care of this mess. Then there will be time to take them somewhere more private (home). To give Bond care and safety and what he really needs. Q is going to make that happen even if he has to bend the whole of reality to his will, he knows this the way he knows he could take apart nations. He's going to get what he wants and there will be nothing standing in his way.

He takes a breath and centers himself. He can do this.
