I officially finished my 10th Global Game Jam project with my brother over the weekend!

In this strategy card game, you play as Piko in his journey along the Bobolo River, where he'll face off against challengers in the World Bub Tournament.

This was definitely our most complex GGJ project to make so far, but after doing some bug fixing this week, the first version is ready to play. We had a lot of fun making it, and as usual, GGJ continues to be one of my favorite yearly traditions.

Global Game Jam 2025

I made a game! I participated in my first global game jam this past weekend, and it was an incredible experience! I contributed the theming direction (not the art) and programming.

People liked playing it in the game show after the game jam, and the soundscape is especially nice! It can be played in the browser including on mobile devices, though on chrome on mobile phones the landscape mode doesn't work, seems to be a general issue with the embedded player on itch.io. I recommend playing it on a touchscreen device if you can, and definitely with the sound on!

I'm really proud of what we achieved, and I would love to do another in person game jam in the future! Even if I hardly slept and became a zombie the next day (aargh, brains!)

Designs for the game I worked on for GGJ'25

Heyyy the game I made for Global Game Jam is done 😊 I did the writing and all of the 2d art as well as the SFX!!

You are the newly elected mayor of the city of Sita, a city that is living under a bubble dome.

Place Citizens on the resource collection spot in order to put them to work, and gain resources. Make important decisions that will affect the future of Sita, and most importantly—maintain your bubble shield to keep your citizens from dying!

You can play it in browser, so give it a shot! :)

Over the past 2 weekends, my brother and I spent time updating our GGJ project. We made a lot of updates to improve the game to make it more fun and fixed some bugs. Check out my process and find a link to download the updated game here.

I spent Saturday revisiting our GGJ25 project! @nimbusstev drew our world map and I drew the character sprites! Most of them are done. I also added more card abilities including boosting stats and fixed the movement cards. And I added visuals when you receive new cards.
