Alright, so I completely dropped the ball on G-Quuuuuux. I kinda wanted to go in fully blind, and this ended up translating into fully forgetting that the show was coming out.

Anyway, there’s one thing I want to discuss before I watch the show, and that’s the new Zaku. Specifically, the MS-06-SPP Police Zaku.

First of all, I love the new ball structure around the legs and waist. It reminds me of the Atlas Gundam from Gundam Thunderbolt, which was stated to be derived from Zeon mobile suits (which is pretty cool). I also like how it shifts the main thrusters of the suit from the back to the waist (I believe the Police Zaku has an additional booster for the back as well). I do like how bootlike the new feet are, it has that sort of “tacticool” approach of being clearly derived from real-world military stuff but adapted to something the size of a mobile suit? The small shield and baton bring to mind real-world policing equipment and the head, chest and machine gun are all just lovely iterations on the original Zaku II’s.

I like how clearly it is that it’s a police unit, the blue colouration and sirens really help but it feels very….. basic, in a way. Like it could appear in an in-universe book discussing policing hardware. Or like it would be suitable dolled-up for an awareness campaign.

I’m very interested in seeing where it goes in-story, since the fact that it’s a police Zaku makes me think that G-Quuuuuux is gonna have some interesting things to say about the relationship with the police to the military-industrial complex. I’m also mildly fascinated by the fact that this is the “opening grunt” as it were. What I mean by that is typically that the first grunt suit to get a model is typically the “primary” or iconic mass-production suit of the series, a là the Union Flag or the ZAFT GINN. So it’s interesting that’s is a police unit as opposed to a military one.

Like, I’d be super interested in a “peacetime” Gundam series (for a given definition of “peace” anyway).

Finally, I’m interested in seeing what a “proper” Zaku looks like in this style. What are they going to do about the shoulder shield? Are they gonna incorporate the bracer from the Origin C-5 type? Would we see variants like the Desert Zaku? Would it have different weaponry like the origin Zaku’s? Would it have the large shield like the G40 Zaku’s? Many such questions.

I couldn’t hear anything over the loud thumping of my heart as I ran. Ran like my life depended on it and in a way it did.

I was running through a battle field, my wand long gone, broken somewhere in the ruins of a castle I once called home. I sort of already came to terms with how this would end but I needed to do one thing first.

One simple, very important, and potentially embarrassing thing. So I’m running, weaponless through a battle field like a crazy person.

But they do say that love makes you crazy and well…I don’t think I could get any crazy than this.

“Dean! Have you seen the Weasley Twins?” I asked as the boy ran passed me alongside Luna and Seamus.

“We’ve just seen Fred, that way!” Luna yelled over her shoulder as she pointed in the direction they were coming from. I nodded and quickly ran off with a quick wave.

I had just turned the corner when I saw Fred and Percy shooting spells at the death eaters around them.

“Y/N!” The boy yelled when he saw me, nodding his older brother before running towards me. Just as he was about to reach for me, an explosion went off sending me off my feet. Clenching my eyes shut I braced for impact but it never came.

“I got you love.”George whispered in my ear and I slowly peeled my eyes open to seen the wall had been taken out. The wall Fred had been standing in front of. I felt my heart sink as the dust attempted to settle.

“Freddie!” I screamed when I felt a hand on my cheek, turning my head.

“Right here, Angel.” He spoke softly and I immediately wrapped my arms around his neck.

“Oh I thought….” I muttered, unable to finish my sentence as I stared over his shoulder at the pile of rubble.

“I’m okay Y/N. I’m okay.” He spoke reassuringly.

Standing in the Great Hall, I looked around at all the wounded as I applied a bandage to Harry’s arm.

The boy was basically a brother to me and I felt awful, thinking about everything he’d been through. All in just 17 years! It was gut wrenching.

“Hey, I can take over for you. My brothers are look for you.” Percy whispered, place gentle hand on my shoulder. I glanced at him before looking at Harry to make sure he’d be okay.

“Go ahead, I’ll be fine.” The younger boy smiled so I nodded getting up and looking around.

“Y/N? Could we talk?” Fred asked walking over to me with George close behind.

“Of course.” I agreed while following them over to a more secluded area of the hall.

“Everything okay?” I asked almost nervously as they each grabbed one of my hands.

“We have a bit of an odd request…” Fred started and I nodded as if telling them to continue. Unsure where this could be going and unwilling to let myself assume anything.

“It’s just well, we might die today and we…“ George started to say before glancing at his brother.

“We don’t want to do it with any regrets.” Fred explained while staring deeply into my eyes.

“You two are making me nervous. Out with it?” I begged jokingly in an attempt to lighten the mood a bit.

“Okay, you’re right. We um…well we were wondering-”

“I’m in love with you. Fred is in love with you. We’re possibly going to die and we can’t not tell you how we feel.” George rushed out, cutting his brother off with wide eyes.

“Oh.” I muttered in shock and they immediately let go of my hands with identical sad looks on their faces.

“Sorry, it’s just Ron and Ginn said you felt the same. But if you don’t, we could just forge-”

“No no no, it’s a good oh! I’m thrilled actually. I’ve been crushing on you guys for years. It’s just given the circumstances it’s feels almost odd to be as happy as I am right now.” I explained quickly which brought understanding smiles to their faces.

“Well for the sake of doing things incase we die tonight, allow me to take this a step further.” Fred winked before kneeling down on one knee grabbing my hand. He quickly elbowed George signaling for him to follow suit.

“Oh god, what are you-”

“Y/N L/N, will you be our girlfriend for at least until the war ends-”

“And if we live, then forever after that?” George corrected glaring at his brother, I laughed. My laughter seemed to bring a smile to their faces as I nodded.

“Of course you big goofballs. I’d love to be your girlfriend today and everyday after.”

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73 STARGAZER

We interrupt the GQuuuuuux/X posts to bring a surprise return to Cosmic Era! No seriously, I was surprised. I didn't realize STARGAZER was going to be uploaded to the GundamInfo YouTube channel this month. I'm talking about some of the plot, so spoilers if you haven't seen it. It's on YouTube, go do that. tldr it's good, I cried at the end.

So this is a side story taking place in the middle of Gundam SEED Destiny. It begins during the Break the World Incident and seems to hit its climax around the time or shortly after Durandal publicly announces the Destiny plan. So that warning at the beginning for plot talk was basically just so that I can say that seeing all the people that tried to fight to keep Sven away from the sort of life that Blue Cosmos shoved him into made me cry so god damn hard for some reason. Even knowing that they failed at the time, just seeing how his parents cared for him, how the woman forced to sign him over to the Atlantic Federation's custody even ran after the car he was being taken away in, how even his military instructor looked like he was threatening Azrael from the original SEED over what he wanted him to be, just got to me. People were fighting for him his entire life, and even after he'd been twisted into this cold dispassionate monster of a pilot, someone still willing to look at him, see the harm he'd caused, and still find someone worth saving. I don't know, maybe I was just tired or already emotional for some reason or another I didn't know about when I decided to watch it. It just hit me hard.

Okay back to my normal comments on things. It's probably SEED at its most visually brutal. Depicting some people just shredded to pieces within their cockpits at times. The scene with the Kerberos BuCUE Hounds is horrifying. I adored getting to see the grunt suits from the first show return to center stage. Much as a love the CE takes on Zeon mobile suits, suits like the GINN and BuCUE just feel so much more special. The STARGAZER itself is absolutely gorgeous, a Real Grade or Master Grade would go hard. At least reprint the HG alongside the SD kit, please! C'mon, Bandai!

The music was good, but I could not hum a single track for you if you asked, so idk what that says about it. The animation was probably on the same level as the SEED shows minus reusing animation, so that was pretty good.

I mean, what else can I say? It's good, I cried at the end.

(19) are there any companions your Shepard just absolutely cannot vibe with or relate to?

For Ginn she vibes well with most people as her earthborn background would make her used to needing people on a team you wouldn't necessarily like, but She just can not get on board with Jacob (because I also hate him) She understands the daddy issues, and that's about it. I mean the dude joined a terrorist organization when he left the military because "they get things done" and he didn't even know they were bringing Shepard back, he just lucked into that when he became Miranda's Lieutenant. Ginn doesn't vibe well with him.

(29) How active is Shepard? Are they hitting the gym, playing sports, or do they prefer quieter downtime?

The more active a body, the quieter the brain. She works out for the high and the boost in confidence, She doesn't know who she is so one of her various personas she once clung to was the gymbrat who never quit, shortly after basic.

(39) Do they keep around any sentimental items?

ABSOLUTELY! Ginny knows its something she shouldn't do but she can't help but bring her past with her. She has Kaidan's flannel, all of her sentimental items from her late family (it's in a box at the back of her closet, in her apartment on the Citadel) And a necklace she never wears from her first foster family. Ginnifer Shepard, If not for constantly having to move and stay busy due to her work, would absolutely become a hoarder. She Loves STUFF. Little trinkets and bobbles, movie tickets from 72nd dates, a 'shirt' that has so many holes from wear it can barely be considered wearable any more. She keeps everything she can.

(49) What is Shepard's happy ending? What's the dream that keeps em going?

As of the ending of ME1, Ginny has always been living life in 'Survival Mode' when you live that way for as long as she has, your memory starts to get fuzzy (another reason she like sentimental things) She knows she isn't on the streets of Seattle running red sand and dodging the popo, but that baseline level of stress never left her and if anything, when she joined the Alliance she only became more high strung. She's only just gotten a taste of what it's like to be 'normal' thanks to Kaidan and his loving family, and it scares the shit out of her. She never fully trusts the world not to fall out from under her, and when things are going good for too long, she gets anxious. Her ultimate dream is to not have to keep running, and fighting for every next breath.

Please may I have Blue exorcist headcanons of being one of Yukihiro Okumura's familiars..a baby Kaiju named Emi..she is a girl but she isn't human and she's big as Kuro in his large size. Yukihiro had no idea of how on earth he had got roped into raising a baby that wasn't human and it imprinted on him because she thinks that he is her caregiver! He is a kid but Mephisto ended up making him look after her. Emi is 20-feet tall Kaiju baby demon. It was a type of demon but she was pretty much harmless.

Personality:

Emi is basically your typical infant..but she isn't human and..she's 20-feet tall. *Yukihiro had a lot on his plate and dealing with a baby demon isn't fun*. She is your typical baby..but not a human one. Her acid sick reflux is legendary in a disgusting sense..and Rin had to take a 2 hour bath to wash the sick off him when he was caught in the full blast of it the first time. she is extremely sweet and she loves Yukihiro and that much was clear. She only responded in chirps and warbles..the only people who can understand her are Rin and Yukihiro and Kuro and other demons. Emi was absolutely exhausting to deal with..she is literally a monster version of a typical human baby!

Emi is a baby Kaiju who's the familiar of Yukihiro Okumura (at the request of Mephisto). She's sweet and loves Yukihiro but can cause a lot of trouble and be very tiring. What do the characters think of her?

I think Yukihiro has mixed feelings about Emi. He loves her dearly, but she can be a lot sometimes and he’s still only a kid.

On good days, he enjoys having her by his side. She’s strong and caring and, even if she can be a bit of a chatterbox at times, he enjoys the company.

On the worst days, he resents having to look after her and his dislike of Mephisto only grows because then he feels bad about thinking of her that way.

But in the end, he wouldn’t have it any other way. If anything were to happen to her, he would seek revenge on whoever dared to hurt his dear familiar.

Ginny on the other hand loves Emi to pieces! She thinks the baby kaiju is heaps of fun to be around and will be a good influence on Yukihiro.

Despite that, she does worry about how her brother will cope with the responsibility of the admittedly challenging Emi. Ginny always makes sure he knows she’s there to help if he needs it.

Whenever Yukihiro needs a break from the young kaiju, Ginny’s there to step in. Emi’s separation anxiety isn’t so bad when at least one of the Okumura siblings is around.

Ginny likes knowing Yukihiro has such a strong familiar by his side. She worries about him a lot because of how much trouble follows him and knowing he’s safe means a lot to her.

Rin’s an interesting mix of Yukihiro and Ginny. He likes Emi and thinks she’s fun but he can’t spend a lot of time around her.

He can find her annoying at times and doesn’t particularly want to snap at the young kaiju. He’s made her upset one too many times and doesn’t want it to happen again.

He does like having her with them in battle though. The beams she shoots are really helpful, if a bit distracting.

Rin knows Emi’s got Yukihiro’s back and is grateful for it. It means he can concentrate on other parts of the fight, and his life in general, rather than constantly keeping an eye on his little brother.

Yukio finds Emi exhausting and worries about Yukihiro far more than Rin or Ginny do. He’s only young and Yukio isn’t sure the responsibility will be good for Yukihiro.

He’ll do his best to help Yukihiro look after Emi where possible but I feel like Emi doesn’t like the older brother too much. She finds him scary.

Much like Yukihiro, Yukio resents Mephisto for putting so much responsibility on the young boy’s shoulders. He won’t say anything to Mephisto directly but he’ll make his displeasure clear in other ways.

Despite all that, Yukio does like knowing Yukihiro is safe in combat situations. Emi’s strong, even Yukio acknowledges that.

Bon’s a combination of Rin and Yukio in this regard. He thinks Emi’s a valuable asset in battle and he has a bit of a soft spot for her but he can find her annoying a lot as well.

He has very little patience for the separation anxiety and the excessive chirps and warbles she lets out.

But part of the reason he can’t stand her sad warbles is because it makes him feel bad for her. It pulls on his heart strings hearing the young kaiju so upset.

He probably won’t help out with her that much but he’ll keep an eye on her in battle. He wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to her after all.

Shima’s honestly a bit scared of Emi for a whole bunch of reasons. Firstly, she’s a giant creature who shoots beams from her mouth.

Secondly, she’s a young female who’s got some pretty drastic mood swings. He’s not quite sure how to help out in those situations and it makes him feel bad.

He thinks Emi’s quite sweet though, especially when her mood is calm and she’s happily following Yukihiro around.

Shima’s definitely glad she’s on their side. He won’t say no to hiding behind her in battle if the opportunity arises.

Much like Shima, Konekomaru finds Emi a bit frightening. She is very big and very strong and he worries that her emotions will cause problems in the future.

It takes him a while to get past the fact that she’s a Kauji and realise that she’s just a young girl.

But as soon as he realises that, he goes into full big brother mode. He’s going to help out with her care as much as possible.

He’s still a bit timid around her but he’ll do what he can to make her feel loved and welcomed in their group.

Shiemi really likes Emi but she is quite timid around her, especially at the beginning. Much like Konekomaru, it takes her a while to realise that she’s just a big child.

And much like Konekomaru, as soon as she realises that, his big sister instincts kick in and she starts looking out for Emi big time.

Unlike everyone else, Shiemi’s not super fond of Emi being involved in battles. Sure, she wants Yukihiro to be safe but she doesn’t want the baby Kaiju to be in danger either.

Even if Emi’s exhausting to look after, Shiemi enjoys being around her. She likes helping out and beginning joy to people's lives and she hopes she can do the same for Emi.

Izumo couldn’t be more different from Shiemi on the outside. She acts like she doesn’t care about Emi and will do her best to convince everyone that that’s the case.

On the inside though, that couldn’t be further from the truth. She’s got such a soft spot for Emi, it’s not even funny.

Izumo’s always keeping an eye on Emi, in battle and in daily life but she takes a much more backseat approach than Shiemi does.

She does need to take breaks from being around her though. Even being around other people tires her out and being around a giant baby Kaiju is a lot worse.

If you thought Shiemi and Konekomaru are Emi’s big siblings, it’s nothing when compared to Kuro. He loves having another familiar around, especially one he’s the same size as if he gets big.

He’ll help her in all the ways the humans can’t. He understands what it’s like growing up as a demon.

Her chirps and warbles are quite high pitched at times and he’s got really sensitive ears so at times, Kuro needs to have some alone time to recover.

He hopes Emi can look up to him as a good role model and someone she can go to if she needs help from another demon familiar.

A couple notes: this (and basically everything I generate) takes place post-stasis because I am irrationally furious that a TV show I only recently discovered got canceled 12 years ago. Amanda and Ginn are now Real Girls with Meat Bodies ™️ (my inbox is open if you wanna hear me scream about my headcanons for them lmao). Lisa's eyes are "fixed," but I haven't settled on a prosthetic or cybernetic design. My hc is that they eventually adapt the neural link to allow her to "see" the ship in real time. This is just a silly comic, so I guess it's up to your interpretation. ^^

May I please also recommend one of my favorite BBC series, Living History with Ruth Goodman, Peter Ginn and Tom Pinfold?

They go over a lot of great info, basically 'going back' in time and showing how people lived in different eras. In the one above they participate in the building of a 13th century castle, they've also done a Tudor farm, an Edwardian farm, a Victorian farm and a wartime farm.

Also Ruth is cute and amazing and always wanting to show that people who lived in those times were just like you and I, with hopes, dreams, fears, and wanting for small comforts too!

tfw you see some stupid post that paints medieval peasants eating just plain grey porridge and acting as if cheese, butter or meat was too exotic or expensive for them, and have to use all your inner strength to not just reblog it with an angry rant and throwing hands with people. so i will just post the angry rant here

no, medieval people did not only eat grey porridge with no herbs or spices, they had a great variety of vegetables we dont even have anymore, grains and dairy products, not to mention fruits and meats, all seasonal and changing with the time of the year. no, medieval food was not just tasteless, maybe this will surprise some of you but you can make tasty food without excessive spice use, and can use a variety of good tasting herbs. if you'd ever tried to cook some medieval recipes you would know that. medieval people needed a lot of energy for their work, if they would only eat fucking porridge all of the time they would get scurvy and die before they could even built a civilisation. they had something called 'pottage' which was called that because it was cooked in one pot. you could leave the pot on the fire and go about your day, doing stuff and come back to a cooked meal. they put in what was available that time of the year, together with grains, peas, herbs, meat etc etc. again, if you would try to make it, like i have with my reenactment friends, it can actually be really good and diverse.

dont confuse medieval peasants with poor people in victorian england. dont think that TV shows what it was really like. dont think that dirty grey dressed people covered in filth were how the people looked like.

they made use of everything. too poor to buy proper meat? buy a sheeps head and cook it. they ate nettle and other plants we consider weeds now. they foraged and made use of what they found. hell, there are medieval cook books!

most rural people had animals, they had chickens (eggs), goats (milk and dairy), cows (milk and dairy), sheep (milk and dairy) and pigs (meat machine), and after butchering they used ALL THE PARTS of the animal. you know how much meat you can get out of a pig, even the smaller medieval breeds? the answer is a lot

if you had the space you always had a vegetable garden. there are ways to make sure you have something growing there every time of the year. as i said they had a variety of vegetables we dont have anymore due to how farming evolved. you smoked pork in the chimney, stored apples in the dry places in your house, had a grain chest. people could go to the market to buy fish and meat, both fresh and dried/smoked. they had ale, beer and wine, that was not a luxury that was a staple part of their diet.

My first day on site! We started with a lot of the basics.

Supervisor: Hui Zhang & Kenya Johnson

Location: Pasadena Central Library, 1201 Jeff Ginn Memorial Dr, Pasadena, TX 77506

Date and Time: June 5 [9AM - 1PM]. June 6 [1PM - 5PM]. (8hrs).

Although I was extremely nervous on my first day, I really enjoyed my first day on the job. The staff are all really friendly, and Ms. Hui, the Youth Department supervisor, showed me around the library, get me familiarized with the Dewy Decimal system, and walked me through the youth and teen rooms which is where I am going to primarily be stationed at. The Pasadena Central Library is quite a bit bigger than my hometown library and the library I work inside of, so I was a bit overwhelmed with just the youth room itself. I was also both overwhelmed and overjoyed with how many young readers there were inside the library. It made me so glad to see the community in Pasadena value and use their local library. I missed it, but apparently, the day before I started, there were 120 children who attened a puppet show program!

My first two shifts were only four hours each, and on the second day I did more of the same. Fortunately, Ms. Hui was very patient with me as I figured out all of the intricacies of the Dewy Decimal system. Remembering that there is a different section for English youth fiction, graphic novels, series, non-fiction, biography, early readers (and each level of reader has their own section with special stickers), board books, and then there are at least five languages in the collection each with their own section and sub-sections was difficult to remember. After all of this was done, I did “shelf-reading” for the remainder of the day which is basically just checking to see if books are in the right place; however, for someone with dyslexia like me, my head was spinning at the end of the day as I had to repeat the alphabet hundreds of times in my head. Overall, I had a really great time!

Module 2 provides a foundation for cognitive learning theories and how they may apply to learning. In essence, you get views of process models (how things move through), activity models (constructivism), and some information on higher order thinking and such.

This LRA is an extension that builds from these bases. The readings associated with this LRA may prove difficult without that background.

This is a jumping off point for me to talk about this odd internet fandom that developed in like 2020-2021 and went down in flames. I basically watched the whole thing go down from the sidelines and have no skin in the game. It's pretty funny imo.

So Morgan Smith was a fairly young (late teens/early twenties) musical creative who had some momentum after the success of their last amateur musical Oceanborn. In a fairly ambitious move, they decided their next project would be not just a musical, but an entire media franchise. It would be a boring fantasy universe that includes cryptids, witches, queerness, all kinds of stuff that young gen z fandom nerds would eat up. It also felt vaugly inspired by harry potter, to the point that it was practically a way to advertise itself as an "alternative".

Anyway, Smith recruited a few creative-types including songwriter Sushi Soucy to help with musicals. To my knowledge, no actual musicals were made, but there were soundtracks and plot summaries and i think a webcomic that was passed off as a graphic novel. They also advertised an epic poem as part of the franchise but it's all lukewarm at best. The fandom was called Averno and it was way more style than substance. As a marketing machine, it seemed fairly effective at cultivating it's niche online audience, though my assessment is that it was too messy for any mainstream appeal. It did spawn a few articles and interviews so clearly it gained some traction, but not enough to put off any productions.

So the fandom was developing slowly, primarily over discord, and I lurked a lot to see how the hell everything would pan out. Lots of promo (including an ARG), but barely anything to show for it. Granted, there were studio recordings of the show tunes, but no show. Before any big moves could be made (I assume covid prevented things from happening), the shoe dropped on Smith. A big google document called Exverno detailed all of the wrongdoings. It was the callout post to rival all callout posts.

The extent of Smith's behavior amounts to 1. Not paying Averno creatives appropriately, à la Greg Ginn's SST accounting, and 2. Grooming, mostly in the form of "can't wait until you turn 18!" You can probably find the Exverno document for yourself, it's gotta be floating around the internet. It's pretty long. The reaction from both employed creatives and fandom was complete ostracism for Smith and their partner. The discord went through a meltdown before rebranding into a generic and shallow cryptid/fantasy community or something. I didn't stick around. Due to the community being prone to exaggeration (likely from limited life experiences and theater kid energy), a lot will claim that Averno was a cult and Smith was a cult leader. I don't doubt that Smith's actions were shitty but I cannot stress enough that this was a far cry from Heaven's Gate. It was a dumb fandom that revolved around the idea of it's media rather than the media itself. Highly impressionable young people got swindled, basically.

I believe the key takeaway is that young creatives should not bite off more than they can chew. Obviously Morgan Smith was too inexperienced to properly manage a fandom while also developing an entire franchise. I read the words "Like the Marvel Universe but for musicals" more than once, which kind of tells you everything that you need to know. Shoot for the stars I suppose.

Smith's epilogue is that they've laid low and continued theirs studies at NYU, I'm assuming for drama or something like that. I don't see them becoming a big public figure again anytime soon for their own personal projects, but I'd bet they'll make pathways for themselves in broadway.

Sushi Soucy's epilogue involves moving on to another mediocre music for fandom kids to eat up. A cursory look at his instagram reveals that they've done ANOTHER google doc callout post for a seperate person that I do not know or care to know. Time really is a flat circle.

Eli and Ginn were precious, and it's criminal that we didn't get more of them. C r i m i n a l . To say nothing of that double-fridging (that they did twice... ffs).

I like to think that Ginn would be all in for going to earth, and she eventually gets her wish after her file is removed from quarantine (with a sweet clone body grown from DNA harvested from her old clothes, which were initially saved to be backup clothing for some of the ladies on board Destiny, but later saved for cloning purposes [yes I'm aware this means her body would have been buried in some state of undress, but it was off camera anyway so it's fiiiiiiiine]).

Y'all say what y'all like about Family Guy, but the cutaways have tons of cultural references (I am frequently "Peter Griffin Explains the Joke when I watch with my husband). My thought is that Eli shows Ginn episodes of Family Guy to teach her about earth, which you can imagine leads to some pretty ridiculous misunderstandings.

A while back, whilst hunting for meme fodder, I found a mean article written back around when SGU was airing. The gist of it was basically that Ginn was too "pretty" for Eli, and that a "schlubby" guy like him didn't deserve to be with someone conventionally attractive. Idk, maybe I'm old, but I think they're around the same level of cuteness. Also, bear in mind that in the past, having some extra weight was considered a sign of wealth and a positive trait. Eli's body type could easily be a selling point for Ginn, who is apparently interested enough in leaving the Space Cartel that she's willing to risk her life for it. To her, Eli is sweet, smart, cute, and her ticket to a life so cushy that luxuries she can't even imagine are considered commonplace. He's the entire package. 🧡

Gotta learn about Halloween, AKA the best holiday! I do wonder what kind of holiday celebrations they might try to have on the Destiny in some hypothetical future where they can get supplies from earth, especially with all those Lucian Alliance members from various other planets. This is actually one of the shorter "episodes" I've done, in which Dale gets the bright idea to keep bees on a spaceship. I looked it up, and you can't keep honeybees inside, not even in a greenhouse, because they need more space than that to roam around. Maybe they could genetically engineer some that are suitable for pollinating weird space plants on a starship. No way will that hilariously backfire. Ginn is clearly familiar with the steroid bees, so she will probably think they're normal.

Dale's other idea is to get chickens. Maybe they can get some domestic space quail instead. They're smaller.
