Kpop demon hunters is SOOOOOO good untillllll the last six scenes. Where did half this stuff come from did the corpo lords come in and fuck your script animators?

#Like as soon as it gets to Rumi at the tree I'm literally like 🧍‍♂️#okay what's the tree. Why is Celine there. They're not speaking like they r people? Huh #Celine is all 'well I love half of you 🥺' and Rumi runs away demon angry but it's NEVER resolved.#It's like the only time we see Celine in the movie.#And then Zoey and Mira break up the rest of the band but it's kind of. Poorly written. Which OKAY that's okay idc 😊 it lasts for 39 seconds #Which is not the most important part of the movie #But then their manager is just kind of there it feels like the scriptwriters wanted him to turn into a demon #He just never ended up getting to it #And then there's a whole concert which is fun!!!#Only you realize fire guy (gwi ma) is there only after they go all boy band #It feels anticlimactic #ANYWAYS then Rumi comes in and they tried to do an anime fake out but it was just kind of stupid.#So she has the wrong expression the whole time and then they do a song where rumis accepted herself #Not ACCEPTS herself. #one of my classes this term we have to give a fictional character a proper diagnosis and treatment plan from the DSM 5 #the fictional character had to be from a list of movies pre-selected #but I made a good argument for the inclusion of video game characters because of the immersive story telling element #and how the characterizations can be just as effective as watching actors on a screen #prof accepted the argument and may want to include video game characters next term #but as a consequence I'm kind of the guinea pig so she presented a friendly challenge: I give her a list of characters #she briefly goes through them via google and whichever one will probably hit most of the paper criteria and cultural/ethical considerations #is the one I have to write my paper on #hell yeah challenge accepted lady! if I can make progress for future students to write about whatever the fuck they want lets gooo!#so i gave her a list of all my blorbos #she definitely knows my type at this point and im fucking scared of how anything i say can and will be used against me in a court of law no #well the pick of the litter is Luis Serra Navarro #cause he hit most of the marks and she thought the cultural piece on his end would be a good challenge from a counselors pov + cult trauma #that list had all my husbands and wives (no joke 15+) on it so there was no way I'd lose so I felt pretty good #she remarked that she was tempted at the Ardyn and Karl types cause “he looks neat” but took one look at their info on the wiki and thought #“This man is so fucked up its gonna take more than 10 pages to cover everything lets keep it simple”#she said it nicer than me but i thought that was funny as shit (jokes on her Luis is probably gonna take up 10 depending on my bandwidth)#anyway at some point during the term im gonna have a diagnostic paper on Luis from RE4 #I might post it up here after the end of term cause I think that would be fun for people to pick at #anyway kind of a good day but also kind of a shit day but overall okay #burnout is still a bitch. It is simple. I find a movie I have only heard bad things about (DOOM 2005) and I watch it and fall in love with it.

This of course means I had to make an OC (horrifying creature, what else?) to put in with it while I rotate it in my brain. It's a good puppy and it used to be a rottweiler several mutations ago.

Maybe it's just my asexual nature to see a movie with 0 sex scenes and so much gore instead and just go nuts for it.

Also, as a twin, I appreciate any media that DOESN'T KILL ONE TWIN?? WHY DO THEY KEEP KILLING ONE OF THEM?? LET THEM LIVE. This movie did it right.

"Go to hell" is basic. "I hope your favorite show that ended or was supposed to end naturally regardless of quality suddenly gets renewed for countless new seasons that soullessly milk it dry and sink the show's quality to unsalvageable levels whilst showing zero signs of ever putting the show to rest or letting it die like it should've " is smart. It's possible. It's terrifying. It has actually happened.
