Matt, not even looking up from his mirror: Don't, it's not an attractive look on you, darling.
Tom: ...nothing is an attractive look on me.
Edd, overhearing: oh come on, don't beat yourself up that much.
Matt, pointing to Tord: yeah, that's his job.

Sleepy Sundays
This is the second place fic for @heart-coups! It’s a soft Jotaro/reader in the morning time! I hope you al enjoy!
Word Count: 2.5k
Warnings: jotaro has trauma
You yawned a bit as you pulled the blanket over the two of you, groaning as you slapped at the alarm clock to try and turn it off. Jotaro really was the type to have an alarm on, even on a Sunday. You felt Jotaro shift a bit, reaching over you to turn off the incessant beeping. You grumbled a bit, grabbing onto his arm.
“Don’t tell me you set that stupid thing for seven in the morning on a Sunday, Jotaro…” You mumbled, pulling his arm close to you to try and bring your boyfriend into some cuddles.
“I guess I won't tell you anything then.” He replied with a bit of a chuckle, leaning in close to press a kiss against your forehead. You giggled a bit, snuggling up close to try and sap up some of that body heat. Jotaro was like a living furnace, which was a good excuse for you to cling to him whenever you wanted. Jotaro sighed, brushing a bit of your hair out of your face while you got comfortable.
“I still should really get up though.” He told you, leaving you just to whine as you grabbed onto him tighter.
“Nooo… Stay with me, it’s a Sunday. You always get up early.” You complained, leaving Jotaro to sigh. Although he wasn’t giving up just yet, you felt how he started to relax into the bed, leaving you just to smile a bit.
“Yes, and then in an hour, I have to usually wake you up so you aren’t late. And you always complain that you don’t have time to eat breakfast because you toss and turn in bed for half an hour before actually getting up.” Jotaro chided teasingly, leaving you to pout a bit.
“Yeah, but that’s on weekdays. Today is a Sunday, meaning the normal rules don’t apply. I can cuddle you all I want.” You replied, leaning your head against Jotaro’s chest and shutting your eyes. You heard Jotaro huff as he wrapped his arms around you. If he truly wanted to get up, he could easily move you and get up, but he tended to always give into your requests. They were always so simple after all. He found it odd that you could be won over with such little actions, but it was endearing nonetheless. As you felt Jotaro settle in a bit, cuddled up closer. Jotaro was probably around twice your size, making it rather easy for you to lay all over him. Jotaro never minded the closeness, after all. You ran a hand along his bare chest, idly noticing the scars on your lover. He had told you that when he was younger, he had to fight someone who was threatening his family, and that he lost people that he cared about during it all. That it scarred him brutally, scared him from ever loving another person again, because he feared losing anyone ever again. As if it was somehow his fault. But when he met you, it changed all that. Jotaro felt like he could care about, even love another person without worry. Maybe it was the fact that you were a stand user as well, or that he felt like you could take care of yourself, or maybe that he finally could acknowledge that the danger was somewhat over. Who could say, really. You just allowed Jotaro to take his time in this relationship, take his time feeling close to you and being able to open up to you on such a personal level.
“If we sleep too much now, you’re not going to go to bed tonight.” He warned, but you just chuckled, leaning in close. “I’ll just have to find a way to keep you up with me then~” You teased a bit, letting your implications sit with Jotaro for a moment before they sunk in, leaving him to blush. You were surprised how embarrassed someone like Jotaro got about intimate things sometimes, but it was cute nonetheless.
“Is that so? And then you’re going to get both of us in trouble at work.” You felt his hand start to run through your hair, leaving you just to sigh and smile.
“I mean, we’re not technically going back to sleep right now, we’re just talking. So like, we’re technically doing what you want, staying awake, just in bed. I’m a genius, I know.” You giggled, leaving Jotaro to shake his head.
“I’ll call the Nobel committee.” He replied sarcastically, leaving you just to laugh. You pulled your head up a bit, smiling as you saw the sleepiness in Jotaro’s face, the way his hair was just a little frazzled with bedhead and his eyes were a bit droopy.
“Alright, alright, you win. I’ll make coffee, how’s that?” You told him, only for Jotaro to just hold you a little tighter.
“You’re the one who wanted to stay in bed. Now I’m comfy, we can’t just move.” His voice was always so gruff, but you couldn’t help but laugh. Jotaro really wasn’t the type to relax much, but you knew he needed to. He deserved to take a break every once in a while.
“But what about your precious sleep schedule?” You teased, leaving him to just sigh a bit.
“Shh… Just let me have this for a moment. I’ll let you know when I’m ready to get up, alright?” Jotaro told you, moving to rub the small of your back gently, hoping for it to be some sort of calming motion. It was. You hummed a bit, closing your eyes and thinking about your relationship with Jotaro. It was nice, what was happening here. At first, Jotaro really never opened up to you, rarely even showed that there was a person behind all of that stoicism, but… Something about love seemed to change that. They say that love seems to change a person, but that might not be it. It might really be that Jotaro just trusts you, and well… There is quite a bit of love there too, admittedly.
So you laid there, feeling your eyelids start to droop as you felt the rising and falling of Jotaro’s chest, the comfort that he brought you. You couldn’t deny that Jotaro helped you feel safe too. He made sure you were protected, that you wouldn’t fly off into your own fantasies or even just sleep the day away. He was there for you in a way no other person really had ever been, you realized vaguely. He really did try so hard to be the savior, the protector of everyone when he was just a man. You loved Jotaro greatly, not just him and his strength, but the fact that he could be vulnerable and kind. You always chuckled a bit to yourself when you noticed how much he doted on the fish tank in the living room, how he talked about how they might be able to “have another soon”, so that he could finally start a coral set up. You remembered how his grandfather told him that he wanted to be able to meet his great grandchildren someday in response, leaving you to laugh. It seemed that everyone had just assumed that you and Jotaro would be together forever, when the two of you hadn’t even talked about marriage before. You weren’t the type to bring it up, and you knew that Jotaro wasn’t really a fan of change. He was probably afraid, afraid of you saying no or even just afraid of what might change if the two of you were married, despite the fact that you both were basically living like a married couple already.
“Jotaro… Do you… Ever think about what you want to do with the rest of your life? What do you want to happen?” You asked, keeping your eyes closed. You felt his heart start to beat just a little bit faster.
“Well, I’m working towards my doctorate. I thought that was pretty clear. I suppose after that, I’ll go into research. There’s an interesting team in South America right now studying-” You knew that Jotaro was about to go on about research, and while you loved to listen to Jotaro talk about Marine Biology, to see the passion in his eyes, that wasn’t what you meant. You knew Jotaro knew that also wasn’t what you meant, but that maybe he wasn’t really for this conversation. But it was too late now. You had to press forward, if only to see what would happen. You were never good at playing it safe.
“Not that. I mean… Between us. I mean, we’ve been dating for a long time now, Jotaro. Do you ever think about us… Getting married? Having a family? That sort of thing?” You asked, leaving Jotaro just to sigh. You felt the way that his body tensed up a little, and almost regretted what you had asked. Your boyfriend was supposed to be relaxing, but you suddenly had the need to know the answer to questions that were intense and emotional. It was what it was.
“I… I don’t think about it. Don’t have the time to.” Jotaro replied, and you could tell that his voice was getting just a little tense. You sighed, rubbing his shoulder a bit and smiling at him, even though the idea of him not wanting to marry you was a bit… Hurtful. That didn’t matter though. Jotaro just wasn’t ready, you knew that. You would be willing to wait for him until he was ready, come what may.
“It’s alright, we don’t have to do things like that. I just figured, since your family seems to kind of want you to, but I know that it’s a big step and maybe-”
“But, I want to think about it.” He cut you off swiftly, leaving you to sit up a bit so you could look him in the eye. You knew that he was genuine, although Jotaro rarely wasn’t when it came to you. You sighed a bit, continuing to hold him.
“You don’t have to force yourself for me, JoJo. I’m willing to wait.”
“It’s not that, really. I do… I want those things with you. It’s just when they come into my head… Other things come too. I’m afraid that by being with me, you’ll get yourself hurt, and that it’ll be my fault. At least, with this… You can leave if you need to.” Jotaro explained to you, leaving you just to gasp. You had no idea Jotaro… Thought like that. That this is what was going through his mind. You leaned in and pressed a kiss against Jotaro’s lips, as if it were some symbol that you understood, even though you knew in your heart that you never completely would. Jotaro would be the only one to ever completely know his own trauma, but you wanted to be there for him no matter what.
“Well, I’m not gonna leave no matter what. You really are just stuck with me, JoJo, and you’re gonna have to learn to live with that. I’m the gorilla glue of relationships.” You replied, burying your face in Jotaro’s chest and holding him tight.
“It doesn’t have to be now. We can wait until whenever you’re ready, but Jotaro… I do want to marry you one day. I want to have a life with you. Children, a little house, a dog maybe. All that. I know it’s silly to think about now, I mean we’re so young, but I want to grow old with you too. I want us to be what your grandparents have, that old bizarre couple. I can garden and have four cats, and you can yell at children to get off your lawn.” You giggled a bit. Jotaro’s hand on you seemed to tense up, but there was also a smile in his voice.
“I’d like that. So, do you want to get married?” He asked, leaving you to look up at him with wide eyes.
“W-W-What?! What are you saying?!” You stammered out, unable to comprehend how Jotao could just pop a question like that out of the blue.
“Well, if we both want to get married, then let’s just make it official and say we’re engaged now. We can start wedding planning later.” You were still so shocked at how relaxed he was about all of this.
“I-I… You can’t just… You need to make a proper proposal! You can’t just ask me to marry you while we’re just in bed together! How lame is that?!” You scolded, leaving Jotaro just to shake his head.
“Good grief… Alright, I’ll try again later with a ring and all that. Make dinner or whatever. Measure your finger when you’re asleep.” He sighed, but there was still a bit of a smile on his face. As much as Jotaro tended to act above all of that romantic stuff, you knew that in the end, he would enjoy it as much as you.
“Thank you. You know, if your mother found out that you tried to propose like that, she would kill you.” You replied with a bit of a chuckle.
“Are you kidding? She’d just be happy I’d be getting hitched. Once we get married, we’re going to be asked about a baby until we finally have one. It’s going to be hell.” Jotaro scoffed, shaking his head. You sighed, reaching up to touch his hair, playing with it a bit.
“I think we’ll be able to weather all of it… As long as the two of us are together.” You smiled at your boyfriend, leaving him just to sigh and lean in, pressing a kiss against your lips. It was soft, gentle, but he was warm and you could almost feel how alive and real he was in his kiss, just as he felt with you. When the two of you finally pulled away from each other, you sat up, looking at the clock. It was eight in the morning now, around when you would normally get up. And although you would much rather sit in bed all day, you knew that not only would Jotaro not let you, but that your mind was awake and ready to get a move on.
“So… I was thinking about eggs this morning. How many?” You asked. Jotaro smiled a little.
“Two. Are you making coffee?” He replied, You just smiled and you finally got out of bed, Jotaro quickly following behind you.
“I don’t think either of us would be able to function without it. I’ll make a pot and add the creamer you like to your cup. Breakfast will probably be ready in… 20 or so minutes?” You smiled, turning to leave the room, only for Jotaro to grab onto your hand. You turned to look at him, only to see that he was looking at the floor.
“Hey… I just wanted you to know that I love you.” He told you, and god how you felt your heart flutter. You smiled, leaning up to press a kiss against his cheek.
“I know. I love you too, JoJo.”
