Lucifer who buys a ring that matches with your ring. (His ring, but he considers it yours.)

Lucifer who carries you to bed when you fall asleep in one of RAD's classrooms.

Lucifer who follows your every command. You told him to sleep? Already in his pajamas. Told him he needs a break? Already booked a private resort for the two of you.

Lucifer who drapes his coat over your figure, hunched over your desk filled with schoolwork.

Spotlight: Jazz is peak Prowl being able to comfort Jazz even though Jazz doesn't want to open up about how he's feeling and Prowl completely respects that

i love their dynamic so much here and in "all hail megatron", it's such a shame that their connection ended up being completely forgotten in the rest of idw series... reading "optimus prime" and coming across that one frame, observing what we have had and lost because the authors couldn't keep in mind how and who they were writing... it actually hurts

you guys. you guys! why are you doing this to us. why is it so hard for you to keep track on your story!! why do we have to see their relationship... fall apart?? without a decent look at it?? somewhere out there, in the background?? we're just left with the fact that they are over or maybe never even were there in the first place

prowl and jazz had so much potential at some point of idw history. the way how well they worked together despite all the difficulties, how sincerely prowl supported jazz even though he remained very closed off and aloof the whole time, how he really tried to be a good loyal friend, respected jazz's personal boundaries, didn't push, didn't go too far with his concern, didn't except anything in return and was just there to help... a rare bright moment for this version of my poor boy :'D

there were so many opportunities to develop this further, to show how they could exist in the new cybertronian future for which they had gone through so much hardship, how could they fight all the problems that were coming down on them, together, exactly as it was on earth. but, alas, we have to accept that they were quickly brushed aside and forgotten. a little time passes and they become strangers. forever. their entire bond is just erased. because that's how idw works with their characters...

Yet another thing I find absolutely wonderful about how Jonathan Stroud wrote Lucy Carlyle is how he betrays her with the narrative.

In The Screaming Staircase, at the start of her story, Lucy gives us an idea of how she wants to be perceived; unaffected, unbothered, unburdened by fear or particularly revelatory emotions. She drops horrifically painful realities about her childhood on us as if she were describing a dull gray rock she found on the ground. She tries very, very hard to school her emotions around Lockwood and George. And if she had been written by anyone else, she might have fallen prey to the "strong independent female character" tar pit of a stereotype.

But then along comes Annabel Ward's ghost.

And the narrative looks at Lucy and says "I know how you wish to present yourself, but that's not who you are."

And Lucy is repeatedly shown to be incredibly Sensitive in so many ways. She is under the influence of the ghost of Annie Ward, but the emotions are still partly Lucy's. And most of the time she has the emotional intelligence to differentiate which feelings are hers and which ones are Annie's, and where they overlap. She chokes up with empathy on multiple occasions in the process of uncovering what happened to Annie Ward. She becomes enflamed with the desire for justice for someone who was murdered decades before she was born. She's shown that by her very nature, her emotions are her strength and not her weakness. Because she has a narrative that loves her and isn't lazy about her. She is the narrator and she tells us who she is, but the narrative shows her and us who she really is.

Curious question, what hobbies does Duke have when he’s not patrolling? I find that knowing what a character does in spare time is a way for me to get into their head and better at writing them.

I LOVE THIS QUESTION!! Canon rarely if ever shows Duke during downtime mode but there are various hints!! We see him do Self Care Sundays with Steph and Cass, so presumably he enjoys hanging out with them (you could transplant, say, Cass' food tours and speculate Duke goes on them with her). But for his own personal hobbies:

This snippet is from his profile in We Are Robin #4. Puzzles is an obvious one, but he is also a HUGE nerd. We've seen him reference Lord Of The Rings, and from his bedroom we see a knight figure, so he probably is really into the fantasy genre! The wiki also mentions him loving Quentin Tarantino films (though idk the source for this). As for collectible card games, I'm guessing he's more into like Magic: The Gathering than Pokémon (I see him as a liiittle bit of a card game snob 😭).

Another thing seen in his bedroom in Batman (2011) #30 is a dinosaur poster! We Are Robin also references his childhood interest in paleontology. He probably did grow out of this, but I like to think he keeps an interest in paleontology to some extent.

Then we have his Dungeons & Dragons book, accompanied by books including "Dragon Lore" and "Warlock Spells". Safe to say he is a HUGE D&D fan. He really seems to love dragons, he has a dragon figure in the bedroom as well, so anything dragon-related is right up his alley.

Also of course writing, which is referenced in the above profile and Robin War (the latter of which specifically mentions poetry). He also tells Kate in Detective Comics that he was a fan of Luke's MMA fights, which he grew up watching with his dad; I personally don't think he continued after what happened to his parents, but I mean angst potential that you could put in a fic.

To summarise, he loves collectible card games, puzzles, films, D&D, writing, and he used to like watching MMA and paleontology; he generally loves fantasy, and he particularly loves dragons!

jaime and brienne literally make me heartsick. i have never felt so genuinely distraught at anything as i was at how they ended. like braime makes me nauseated and miserable and closer to tears than anything ever. i delight in it mostly except for the late nights where i burn at the unfairness of their ending and how brutally they massacred jaime's growth and the LOOK in brienne's eyes when she was writing his deeds in the book. the noise of anguish that was punched out of me the first time i watched their story through was unholy.
