hfslfjk still thinking about earlier today at work when a lady with two preteen-ish kids came in for drinks, and one of the girls was wearing a Linkin Park One More Light tour-era shirt-- I worked up the courage to tell her it was really cool and they were my favourite band for a long time! but some parents get a little weird when you engage with their kids too much even if you're a tiny nonthreatening autistic weenie girl like me so I got nervous and totally forgot what my favourite song of theirs was, so when she proudly replied that she knew all the lyrics to In The End, I just went "yeaH that's mY favourite Too!" much the same way you would when you don't know what someone's talking about lmfao.......... I DO like In The End but I wish I could have told her my favourite is actually Faint instead, and that Chester was my hero when I was her age 🥺

16. For the Love of You by Victor Lundberg

the song in last twilight that had me sobbing on my floor. this plays during the scene where day is leaning over sleeping mork to look at his face from one palm distance, if you cannot tell. really hit me like a truck back when i did not know how the series would go, and hit me on the rewatch round, too. also probably the reason why this artist was my top 2 for this year lol.

27. Lifeline by The Rose

i saw the rose live this year. i went into that concert knowing very little: i've enjoyed their music before and was obsessed with the newest album but wasn't quite a fan. then i saw the ticket sale happen, and on a whim, decided to go for it. i dragged my bff there with me and came out of that concert with a ton of new songs to love. this was one of them – the stage for it was just so stunning ♥

70. Burn It Down by Linkin Park

linkin park was also in my top 5 artists, simply because i ended up associating linkin park's music with mork in the beginning of the year. i still think about that guy fondly while hearing these songs, they just really fit his vibe. it was also kind of fun to return to all this older music that i used to listen to more when i was younger.

6 Albums I've Been Into Lately:

Sundowning - Sleep Token: just gonna... get this 'out of the way' haha, of course I am into a sleep token album, cause I'm ALWAYS into sleep token. Putting Sundowning on the list cause I go through 'phases' of which album is my favorite.

Something to Give Eachother - Troy Sivan: Every time Troye Puts something know out I am so hesitant at first. But this guy has no skips for me. (Putting This album on the list is like a slap though haha. It's like 'Metal, Rock, some Jazz, and then boom pop music' lmao).

Mount Matsu - YinYin: I just discovered this band yesterday, but I am really vibing with a lot of their stuff.

Mirage - Glass Beams: this EP and the above album are very similar vibes wise. idk, I really like this genre (if i can find the name of it besides jazz), it's great to both read to, vibe to, draw to. it's good. (also they are masked haha).

Random Access Memories (Drumless Edition) - Daft Punk: what can I say, I love daft punk. At first I was weirded out about the lack of drums (I love drums), but I genuinely like a lot of these versions.

From the Brink - 1551: An Army Falls, Enemy and Impostor are SUCH good songs. (And I'm not just saying this cause it's my favorite video game streams album, and some of the songs are video game themed lmao).
