All right so I got some more theories in Minecraft n' shit

Specifically gollums and the whole situation going on with the multitude of golems that exist and have existed

First off the very first golem and we can assume was created, The Creaking, a possible tree golem that after years of no longer being properly maintained and effectively pruned like you would a tree to grow at the correct way you wanted to grow, it's become a sentinel for a cause that no longer even exists.

Seemingly guarding a town or village That doesn't even exist anymore.

But additionally, I think the creepers are just overgrown sandstone golems, so that basically these things had all of the mechanics we know canonically they have in the beastiary, it might not be Canon but it does have material we can draw from in the same way we can look back at old manuscripts of animals and zoology before there was propter taxonomical structuring and things beyond fantastical drawings of a creature that was effectively the reconstruction of a 16th hand description.

The beastiary isn't incorrect it is simply just outdated. But I believe that it's creeper depiction is correct, but also, that whole thing with them being covered in leaves, is because of the fact that they're literally covered in leaves. They're literally grown over. They're not plant creatures they're basically fuckin clay bomb golems covered in kudzu.
