The Handley Page Victor, one of the three V-bombers alongside the Avro Vulcan and the Vickers Valiant, was a fearsome looking aircraft. Did you know that the Victor was able to fly because it has wings?

airsLLide No. 2445: G-BEYF, Handley Page HPR-7 Herlad 401, Elan Air Cargo, London-Stansted, July 18, 1988.
Elan Air Cargo leased the Herald from BAF British Air Ferries to use it on the carrier's express freight network. In 1989, Elan became part of the European branch of DHL Worldwide, but by this time it had already returned the aircraft to its owner who immediately sold her on to Channel Express (today known as low coast carrier under the brand Jet2). G-BEYF remained on display in Channel Express colors in the Bournemouth Aviation Museum until 2008.
