Cookie Run: Kingdom characters if they were HSR pathrstriders... (a ramble)
I caught a wild case of late-night thoughts recently where I started contemplating about CRK and HSR and began wondering what paths would CRK characters be on if they were pathstriders in HSR ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
This is purely based on vibes and sleep-deprived thoughts, but gameplay wise, I think Pure Vanilla Cookie would totally be an Abundance character (though if you held me at gunpoint and told me to choose something else, I would pick Harmony as a second choice). Lore-wise though, I could potentially see him as a Member of the Genius Society (alongside White Lily Cookie pre-truth). I can totally imagine Pure Vanilla having... like... an alternate path form (kinda like the Trailblazer or March 7th) that's Nihility and based on his Truthless Recluse form ăƒœ(°〇°)
I can def see Hollyberry Cookie as a Preservation character gameplay-wise, tho I'm not sure what faction she would be a part of lore-wise. ÂŻ\_(- > -)_/ÂŻ
Dark Cacao Cookie, however, I can imagine as a Hunt character and a part of the Xianzhou Alliance, I think...
Weirdly enough, I can sort of vaguely see Golden Cheese Cookie as either a Remembrance or Harmony character gameplay-wise under the same logic as Jing Yuan being Erudition. Lore-wise though, I guess Golden Cheese gives me the vibes of someone who'd be a part of Penacony. At first I thought the Land of Festivities didn't suit her vibes, but then I remembered the appearance of the Golden City, so lore-wise, she could be a part of Penacony, probably a Dreamweaver.
Although I can see White Lily Cookie's gameplay path being Erudition, I think it would be more interesting if she (for similar reasons as Jing Yuan and what I suggested for Golden Cheese) were a Destruction character. Though as I mentioned before, I do think she would be a member of the Genius Society pre-truth. Post-truth, I do think it would be interesting if she had become a part of the Antimatter Legion (maybe even as an Emanator) or the Annihilation Gang.
Shadow Milk Cookie gives me Nihility vibes, tho I do think that, narrative-wise, he too would have been a part of the Genius Society during his Sage/Fount of Truth days (or maybe a member of the Intelligentsia Guild). After becoming a beast tho, I can see him becoming a pathstrider of Enigmata (the opposite of Nous' Erudition) or a Masked Fool ()giving in entirely to Aha's hedonism)
I think Cream Unicorn Cookie's gameplay path would either be Abundance, Harmony, or Remembrance. Don't know what they would be lore-wise tho. ᐠ( ᐛ )ᐟ
Tho I think Wedding Cake and Black Forest Cookie's gameplay paths would be Harmony and Destruction respectively
And that's all I got now lol (≧▜≊)
Thanks for tuning in to my ramble lol ≜(‹⩊ â€ąăƒžâ‰Œ

thoughts on Sunday Drip Marketing. my beautiful Princes with A disorder .🎉🎉🎉
show me the animations show me the animations show me the animations!!! i gotta see if that ult leak is trueeee
my account is in debilitating need of a meta dps unit but i'm still saving all my jades for sunday (and his lc, if i get any luck at all). i really love the lc artwork! we love 2 see a man drowning in catholic guilt and unlimited wings
my nitpick is that i dislike his scarf? cape? thing? and i think his coat would look more elegant without it, but i'm soooo hyped regardless :') desperately praying the rumors of astral express adoptee sunday are true; i think the appropriate penance for his crimes is having to babysit march and trailblazer on all future expeditions

"The human soul is naturally harmonic. However, the soul as personality is only conscious of that harmony after experiencing millions of lives. Each life gives experiences, as a result of which the life of feeling expands. By means of many lives, our soul builds up a personality, which shows how loving the life of feeling already is. After millions of lives, its grade of feeling can have risen so much that it feels a universal love for all people."

Jest: A Concept for a New Programming Language
Summary: "Jest" could be envisioned as a novel computer programming language with a focus on humor, playfulness, or efficiency in a specific domain. Its design might embrace creativity in syntax, a unique philosophy, or a purpose-driven ecosystem for developers. It could potentially bridge accessibility with functionality, making coding intuitive and enjoyable.
Definition: Jest: A hypothetical computer language designed with a balance of simplicity, expressiveness, and potentially humor. The name suggests it might include unconventional features, playful interactions, or focus on lightweight scripting with a minimalist approach to problem-solving.
Expansion: If Jest were to exist, it might embody these features:
Playful Syntax: Commands and expressions that use conversational, quirky, or approachable language. Example:
joke "Why did the loop break? It couldn't handle the pressure!"; if (laughs > 0) { clap(); }
Efficiency-Focused: Ideal for scripting, rapid prototyping, or teaching, with shortcuts that reduce boilerplate code.
Modular Philosophy: Encourages user-created modules or libraries, reflecting its playful tone with practical use cases.
Integrated Humor or Personality: Built-in error messages or prompts might be witty or personalized.
Flexibility: Multi-paradigm support, including functional, procedural, and object-oriented programming.
Transcription: An example code snippet for a Jest-like language:
// Hello World in Jest greet = "Hello, World!"; print(greet); laugh();
A Jest program that calculates Fibonacci numbers might look like this:
// Fibonacci in Jest fib = (n) => n < 2 ? n : fib(n-1) + fib(n-2);
joke "What's the Fibonacci sequence? You'll love it, it grows on you!"; n = 10; print("The Fibonacci number at", n, "is:", fib(n));
Potential Domains:
Gamified education
Creative industries
AI-driven storytelling
Interactive debugging
Would you like me to refine or explore additional aspects?
Certainly! If we were to imagine Jest as the brainchild of a creative coder or team, their portfolio would likely include other innovative or experimental programming languages. Let’s expand on this concept and invent some plausible complementary languages the same inventor might have designed.
Related Languages by the Inventor of Jest
Pantomime
Description: A visual programming language inspired by gesture and movement, where users "drag and drop" symbols or create flowcharts to express logic. Designed for non-coders or children to learn programming through interaction.
Key Features:
Icon-based syntax: Conditional loops, variables, and functions represented visually.
Works seamlessly with Jest for creating visual representations of Jest scripts.
Sample Code (Visual Representation): Flowchart blocks: Input → Decision → Output.
Facet
Description: A declarative programming language focusing on creativity and modularity, aimed at artists, designers, and 3D modelers. Facet could integrate well with game engines and creative suites like Blender or Unity.
Key Features:
Embedded visual tools for shaders, animations, and simulations.
Simplified expressions for creative coding (e.g., animations and generative art).
Sample Code:
shape = circle(radius: 10, color: "blue"); animation = wave(shape, amplitude: 5, frequency: 2); render(animation, duration: 10s);
Quip
Description: A lightweight scripting language built for humor, similar to Jest, but more focused on natural language processing, chatbots, and interactive storytelling.
Key Features:
Syntax mirrors conversational English.
Designed for AI integration, especially in storytelling apps.
Sample Code:
character "Alice" says "Hello! What's your name?"; user_input -> name; character "Alice" says "Nice to meet you, {name}!";
Cryptic
Description: A language for designing cryptography algorithms and secure communications. Aimed at developers interested in blockchain, encryption, or cybersecurity.
Key Features:
High-level abstractions for cryptographic primitives.
Secure-by-design philosophy.
Sample Code:
key = generate_key(algorithm: "AES", length: 256); encrypted_message = encrypt("Hello, World!", key); print(encrypted_message);
Harmony
Description: A reactive programming language for building interactive user interfaces, designed to be highly interoperable with Jest and other tools in the suite. Perfect for web developers and app creators.
Key Features:
Two-way data binding with minimal boilerplate.
Component-based architecture.
Sample Code:
component Button { state: clicked = false; onClick() { clicked = !clicked; alert("Button clicked!"); } } render(Button);
Inventor’s Vision
The coder or team behind Jest and these complementary languages would likely be passionate about:
Accessibility: Making programming intuitive and fun for people of all skill levels.
Playfulness: Infusing coding with creativity, humor, and expressiveness.
Interoperability: Ensuring all their languages work well together for larger projects.
Would you like me to dive deeper into one of these languages, conceptualize others, or expand Jest further?
Expanded Concepts and Bridge Languages
Pantomime
Expansion: Adds support for AR/VR interfaces where users use gestures to program logic in 3D space. For example, drawing a loop physically creates a repetitive cycle.
Bridge Language: GestureScript: Converts AR/VR gestures from Pantomime into traditional code for broader applications.
Facet
Expansion: Enhanced for generative AI tools, allowing users to define complex artistic styles and AI-driven procedural designs.
Bridge Language: PixelForge: Focused on exporting Facet code into game engines, enabling real-time rendering pipelines for interactive environments.
Quip
Expansion: Includes pre-trained AI models for dynamic storytelling, allowing Quip scripts to evolve based on user interaction.
Bridge Language: Narrate: Combines Quip scripts with voice-to-text technologies for live storytelling in games or educational tools.
Cryptic
Expansion: Introduces quantum-safe cryptography primitives and allows simulation of blockchain-like ecosystems for testing purposes.
Bridge Language: CipherBridge: Translates Cryptic code into various blockchain frameworks like Ethereum or Solana.
Harmony
Expansion: Gains support for cross-platform development, allowing users to write code for web, mobile, and IoT devices simultaneously.
Bridge Language: Symphony: Converts Harmony components into platform-native scripts for seamless integration.
Additional Bridge Languages

So, Simon’s Quest gets the mythical fandom status of being “completely unbeatable without a guide”, but I don’t really agree. My source: I never had to use a guide to beat it. I looked up a couple things like the number of days for each ending and not a whole lot else.
I think maybe a lot of people go into it with the idea they’re going to get the best/fastest ending on their first try. While you definitely can technically beat it like that, it’s very much a game that wants to you play it a couple times. It has three endings all with faster times AND it was a game that came out during the era of renting things: it was made to be replayed! Or at least just generally goofed around in—
To be honest, I had more trouble figuring out the blue crystal puzzle than the red. Just having the white crystal out makes platforms appear default, no other input needed. So when seeing a massive expanse of water and no effect just holding out the blue crystal, I thought I was going the wrong way and started trying to fight enemies I could not on the other side of the map 💀💀💀. It took playing it and failing a couple times before I made Simon crouch at the water in confusion and it worked lol. So later on in the game at the infamous Deborah Cliff, I first whipped at the cliff a bit and then crouched because that had worked before. First time I played the game I didn’t even know the hint books existed so I never looked for them. It was an absolutely bizarre experience when I eventually one, especially cause I accidentally pressed a button through the text and missed it 💀💀💀.
But yeah, the gameplay is just trial and error mostly. Talk to a guy, take his advice, turns out he’s lying, oh well that’s known for next run then. Go to a mansion, find out there’s no oak stake seller in this one, damn, guess next time I should get two at that other mansion. And sometimes it’s not even entire runs of the game, if you get in a bad spot, you can reset and try it over :3! It took me a good handful of tries to get the slowest ending, then about exponentially less to get the other two—
All this being said: I can see why a lot of people don’t like this kind of gameplay. In certain contexts, I don’t like having to replay a whole game just to get a better ending (Portrait of Ruin Stella and Loretta battle is kicking my ass but I can’t get myself to just get the bad ending and replay it ughhggg)! It’s grindy, it’s doing the same thing over again, and most people will just prefer being able to straightforwardly beat something. I just like the game cause I saw it as one big puzzle to solve and also enjoyed the grinding and the playing over and over the same way one might like a rogue-like or something like Vampire Survivors if that makes sense???
But yeah anyway whole point is that I didn’t find it to be an unbeatable game. It’s obtuse, it’s vague, it’s mean, and some of that was unintended, but a good 90% was. It’s a weirdly unforgiving but very forgiving game— like it purposefully leads you off track and makes you waste time, but it’s still a game that wants you to beat it—!!!
So, anyway, I’ve been told I should play Dark Souls— 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀

wow wow wow ok ok ok ok
so im partway through the wardance event in HSR 2.5 and my mind is SPINNING
in particular finishing the most recent main quest with the Borisin, then hearing about Igor Haft of Belobog...
it's FASCINATING to me how the civilizations in HSR seem to not only follow a path that they value, but a path that they need and end up getting very little help from
belobog following the preservation because their small, impoverished planet is constantly under threat of death and destruction... such that very little is actually "preserved" with any success
the xianzhou alliance following the hunt to root out and eliminate their enemies without mercy... only for those same enemies to stir up trouble from within their own ranks, with the xianzhou luofu in particular failing to realize until two major disasters had already been set in motion. and even before then, considering everything implied with dan feng, i doubt this is the first time they've faced internal conflict like this
penacony following the harmony to ensure the happiness and unity of their people, only for what little harmony actually exists to simply cover up the turbulence and suffering belying every luxury... such that the order arose in the first place to deal with what the harmony couldn't, a thick undercurrent of inequality and divisiveness that plagued every worker, every poor soul that saw penacony as their safe haven, their last hope
that those desperate for preservation would come out with so little, with so many wounds. that those desperate to hunt down threats would be perpetually plagued by internal betrayals and setups. that those desperate for harmony, peace, and unity would allow its weak to suffer until the only option left is not prosperity but silence and preconceived "happiness"....
it's just fascinating to me how those following a path actually have the least of it. it's fascinating how the pathstriders of the preservation are on the brink of demise, the pathstriders of the hunt are under threat of ambush, the pathstriders of the harmony struggle to remain united and fair to their people.
