Y'know I've pondered over the sequencing of Rayla's return in 4x02 as well as the framing and I always thought it was interesting that she showed up in Moonshadow form, mostly because 1) thus far we haven't seen it again, so unless it shows up in s7 they did an entirely new character rig for 1-2 shots and 2) while it's dramatic, idk, the shot with the moon halo always felt so loaded with symbolism, why not just cut there as he turns around period?
But then it's like
Of course she — and the cube! — are are dark, first. Of course they're the dark side of the moon first, the negatives. She led him to darkness and likely will again; and even just her still being secretive at first too, because even though she's come back that hasn't fixed everything for either of them; and whether it comes to plot fruition of being bad first, we know that Callum at the very least has a negative view of the cube from S4 onwards due to its associations with Aaravos. Much like how her coming back is "kind of bad" (4x05).
Tumblr media
But then what happens?
Tumblr media
The shot — Rayla, the cube — shift to light! To the moon shining again. Because the cube isn't just related to Aaravos, it's also related to primal magic and will probably wind up being in Callum's possession in a positive way by the end of s7 (alongside its book). Because Rayla coming back is also good, and she learns to not be secretive, and she also leads him to the light (6x06, and probably S7). Her and the Cube are tied to the same two journeys and similar symbolism and plotlines (Callum's relationship with Rayla and journey with Aaravos) that will define him most predominantly for the rest of the arc.

Merlin Rewatch* w/ Mom - Approaching Season 5
We've reached a crossroads.
We're one episode away from Season 5, a season I've avoided watching for nearly 12 years , and I tell my mom I've never watched it, since I already found out all the bad stuff that happened through fandom osmosis and it just sounded poorly done. At this point I've made it no secret it does NOT end well.
But... she wants to watch it anyway. But not alone. Said she'll wait until I'm ready, saying maybe it'll be easier if we do it together.
Thoughts?
Rewatch* = Post 4x05, I haven't seen any of these episodes from start to finish, but I've seen scenes and know the broad strokes of what happens.

hello hi could you talk about MK? like literally anything about him you want, thoughts you haven't said yet or things you've been saying over and over again?
I have the perfect rant lined up for this actually!
So: MK existing outside of the jttw story.
There are several scenes where MK feels...very disconnected from the rest of the gang. Like, in 3x09 when everyone else is reflecting on how familiar the samadhi fire sealing grounds feels, MK doesn't recognize anything. In the scroll, we meet everyone's ancestors/past life except MK's (which they lampshade in 4x05), but we do run into the curse. Even in 4x02, MK isn't a constellation in the stars like every other main character is.
Now, the scroll of memory, as far as I am aware (and after tying to look into it) is not something that exists in jttw. Like MK, it exists outside of the jttw story.
Azure Lion: "That and a great many other tales I'm sure. Everything that has ever happened, every deed, ever word has been recorded in the scroll of memory." (4x02 New Adventures)
-
Back in August, an anon pointed out the swirl and star that turns up in multiple places, as seen in this post.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"The first star is above/outside of "everything that has ever happened" (aka what is recorded on the scroll of memory), and the second star with Wukong is only seen because reality is breaking apart (aka we start to see what is 'outside of everything')."
So I just want do draw the connection between MK and the scroll who both exist outside of journey to the west, and this star that exists outside of reality.
(Post with MK & Underworld Connections, I realize that may seem out of left field if you haven't seen this before lol)
Which, the fact that both MK and the scroll are lmk originals makes me even more certain they are related!

Hello, I really love your meta posts (I've recently been enjoying your Haven meta) and I was wondering if you had any meta/thoughts/headcanons/theorises about how the Knights would react to finding out that Merlin was a sorcerer? Imagine they had learnt earlier in the series or they learnt when Arthur did except nobody died. I know, I know. But just think about the most ideal moment when they weren't fighting for their lives and dropping like flies. If Merlin had to use his magic to protect him or just felt compelled to confess for some reason (maybe he thought he was dying and needed to get it off his chest) how do you think they would all react? Would they hate him at first? Would they wonder why he didn't tell them? Would they laugh and be supportive? Would they be like "ah ha! I knew it!" or would they think he was joking until they saw his eyes?
Oh wow I haven't thought about this in probably 10 years. Uhhhhh let's see.......
Obviously Gwaine, first off. Since he seems to have no real beef with magic as a concept, just those who use it given that he's from Lot's kingdom initially (right...? or is that fanon......??) he'd almost definitely be fully supportive of Merlin but would probably feel super betrayed that Merlin didn't trust him enough to confess. Gwaine is so ride or die for Merlin so of course, that would hurt, but he'd probably come around quickly once he digested Merlin's reasoning. He understands, he's a lot smarter than everyone thinks he is. Anyway, the second Gwaine found out, regardless of if he'd forgiven Merlin for lying or not, he'd be immediately defending Merlin from everyone who wanted to stir the pot
I think Percival has secretly known for a while. He always gave me vibes of he knows so much more than he lets on so there was probably a high chance he saw Merlin secretly doing magic on hunts once or twice and just never said anything. He was probably surprised but had enough time to process it before Merlin was discovered so it didn't come as too much of a surprise
Leon probably reacted the strongest since he was Uther's knight before he was Arthur's. And he was probably super conflicted too because he knows Merlin, he respects Merlin, but magic is still dangerous and a crime. I feel like he probably would've initially followed the laws and would've arrested Merlin but he would've felt so so bad about it. Merlin, of course, wouldn't fight back because he gets it, he knows who Leon is too, but Arthur would have to step in (in this AU where Arthur knows) and would have to mediate. Leon would eventually come around but I think the most reluctantly out of anyone. If it were anyone else, he never would've, but for Merlin (and Arthur), he would
Elyan (in this AU where he doesn't die) I think would also be reluctant mostly because I think he's the most afraid of magic. He'd never admit that but magic killed his dad and he got super possessed in whatever that banger of an episode was. Plus he died because he fought a magic sword and lost. So like, he definitely has beef with magic. But I think Merlin's just so dang charismatic that he would eventually somewhat change Elyan's mind, though I don't think Elyan ever really loses his distrust of magic. He just trusts Merlin enough that it's mostly okay. He still gets a little jumpy though whenever Merlin does anything
Lancelot never finds out. He would kill Merlin immediately on sight if he knew and then would attempt to kill Arthur for harboring a criminal. Team Lancelot 2k24 let's goooo #Gwencelot
So tl;dr because it's Merlin, the knights would each go about it differently but I think they'd all be okay with it at the end. Maybe not magic as a whole, but definitely with Merlin having it. We've all seen that campfire scene in 4x05. Merlin's their brother and they're all ride or die for him (but Gwaine is the most)

Do you also have the UK issue of the scripts only arriving later this week? (If you didn't order the scripts then never mind lmao) cos I think I might need to throw my phone into the ocean with the amount of scriptbook not-spoiler spoilers I've been seeing
And what's even funnier is I'm only up to 4x05 so so many of them could be extra spoilers being from the scriptbook AND of episodes I haven't seen
But at the same time it does feel pretty cool to be able to have my first time experiences of 4x06-10 being accompanied with the scriptbook as the FuLl ExPeRiEnCe with seeing the acting prompts and little theatrical bits the writers put between dialogue to add weight and subtext for when the actors play the scenes and seeing what was improvised and what was cut, that's definitely something I'm looking forward to :)))
(Really hope you don't mind me sending this here, I'm just excited :D)
Tumblr media
i don't, and i'm not getting them SOB mostly bc i don't have the money rip [but from what i've been seeing i kind of don't mind any more LOL] but there's lots of it going around right now and i'm sure the full scans of it all will be posted at some point! i'm sorry you're seeing so many spoilers though AAAAA but omg you neeeed to watch more! you NEED to get to america deciiiides omg. that's my favourite episode of season 4 <3
that's cool yeah! and TRUST me the actors add soooo much more than what the scripts provide especially wrt tom and greg like. you'll appreciate that shit when you get to 4x08 ESPECIALLY. just you wait.
i don't mind at all please!!! i love that you're excited that's amazingggg and watching the latter half of s4 for the first time OOOO! when you get to america decides PLEASE tell me about it afterwards in my askbox and what you thought of itttt <3 i don't know if you've seen this still yet but [not really a spoiler since its litro just a shot of t+g] but it's from ad and one of my fave shots of them ever <3
Tumblr media
as far as 4x01 goes i haven't really seen anything of significance for that particular episode wrt to the scripts yet???? so unless i missed something... a lot of context for that actually comes from the script for 4x06, believe it or not... so yeah. i love you coming to my inboxxxx omg so don't ever worry about sending me messages! :D <3

People are implying Nick is going to go ballistic if they threaten June’s life especially it Lawrence agrees to it. But, I’m thinking back to last season when they say he needs to bomb Chicago after the cease fire (Nick knows June is there). Lawrence played him a bit there too. He is upset and pushes back but goes through with it. I get the bomb wasn’t a direct hit on her but it definitely put her in danger. What makes us think he’d blow his cover this time? I obviously want him to but I’m in my head about it. Maybe it’s about Nichole? What are your thoughts?
We understand where you're coming from with this- even under the greatest stresses and challenges and suffering, Nick generally remains pretty outwardly stoic. His fractures are pretty subtle. He's not good at hiding anything when it comes to June and is frequently emotional about her which has resulted in some difficult situations, but he's able to do just enough to keep himself alive. Seeing him lose control like we have in the trailer is an unusual and surprising thing to see. We're very curious about it.
The Nick we see in s5 is a Nick that is a different man than he was even as recently as 4x05. In that time span he's been married to someone he doesn't love, briefly reunited with June and their daughter (a daughter who has no idea who he is because they've been separated for so long), his wife is pregnant with a baby that he doesn't want which forces him to stay in a place that he hates, and he's aligned with a man who has lost his humanity and who uses him. He is more broken now that we've seen and so any sort of actual, credible threat to June, especially when he's turned down chances to be in Canada with her, could be one painful thing too many and cause the dam to break.
Speaking of the Chicago scene specifically, unfortunately the show neglected to show the aftermath for Nick (or indeed any sort of trauma he has over this) as he was not shown after being given orders and was absent for the next 3 episodes. Had we seen him in the aftermath, we suspect that we may have seen him lose it (or at least as much as he could have). However there's another possibility that we like to entertain as to why he didn't lose it completely- the streets of Chicago were unusually quiet and empty right before the bombing and we like to think that Nick tipped off his rebel allies and did all he could to help June from such a distance. Perhaps he believed that his contacts had managed to get to her and made sure she stayed safe which calmed some of his emotions enough for him to stay in control. In a situation where this isn't possible for Nick, his emotions could spill over and he could snap.
One time we have seen Nick lose it completely is in ep 2x05 when June went out to the garden to die and he found her haemorrhaging. We haven't seen him so upset and out of control as we have in that moment. June was near death and that terrified him. He didn't go ballistic, but he was extremely emotional. In a situation where the threat to June was very immediate and significant, Nick lost control. So it's definitely possible where the threat to her life is much more prominent than even the bombs in Chicago, much like being followed by trained snipers would be, Nick could lose it.
With all that said, we can imagine such a scenario where it is Holly in danger that finally makes him snap and go ballistic. Nick has mentioned her safety multiple times this season, which could be foreshadowing to her being in danger. Holly is an innocent little girl who can't protect herself and needs her parents to do that, something that is difficult for Nick to do from Gilead. So any situation where she could be hurt is bound to make Nick break, especially as he's in Gilead surrounded by the people who could hurt her- and if Joseph is involved, it could be the final straw for Nick as Joseph has manipulated and used him before but Nick choose to keep trusting and working with him. Having someone he trusts be ok with his daughter getting hurt would understandably make Nick snap completely. Nick's line of "she's not the target" does make us wonder if Nick brought up Holly being harm's way and had those concerns ignored. That line could be foreshadowing for what happens.
We could really go either way when it comes to who Nick goes ballistic for- it could be June or it could be Holly.

I think part of why I don't like the Buckley parents getting a redemption arc is because yes, part of why they're shitty parents is Daniel's death, and how they weren't able to deal with that, but they didn't have to be. You can go through traumatic events and not put it on your kids. You can have a medically complex child, need another child to help, and not make the other child's life about being the helper or savior of their sibling, or point out the ways in which they failed. You can lose a child to an illness and not forget about the ones who are still breathing.
I know this, because my parents were them, and they managed to not emotionally torture me my entire life. I grew up with a high support needs disabled sister who had frequent hospital visits, especially when we were younger, and who died this past summer. She needed help and care her entire life, and while my parents had me help out, they also did what they could to make sure I existed outside my sister. I grew up knowing that if Catherine outlived our parents, which, until about a month before she died, seemed perfectly likely, I'd be the one to take care of her, because she was my sister.
And I saw how they handled her final hospital visit, which was 2 months long, and stayed with her 24/7, sleeping in a recliner. They accepted my offers to stay with her on the weekends and days I wasn't working, but always made it clear I didn't have to stay there, or prep meals for them, or drive my grandma to visit. They always gave me an out, and never guilted me for taking it.
When she died, they didn't pretend she never existed, or make everything about her. We were able to grieve her as a family in a way that I don't think the Buckleys have ever been able to grieve Daniel. In 4x05, I think it's Margaret who says they moved because everyone judged them for having Evan to save Daniel. So yes, I think part of why they're like this is grief, but so much of it is shame too. That shame caused them to demolish whatever support network they had, and from what we saw in canon, they don't seem interested in rebuilding it.
I don't know how much of this is me getting too personally involved, but I don't think they're redeemable because I've seen the Buckley's lives up close in a way that most people haven't, and I hope most people never will. I know this grief intimately, and know it did not need to manifest in such a way. Grief and loss and death will come for us all. We all have to bury people we love at some point in our lives. But we'll never be alone in that grief, and there seems to be a line drawn in that family, and it all starts with Daniel, and Phillip and Margaret shutting their living children out when they buried their brother. Maddie and Buck seem to have reckoned with the ghost of Daniel, but he's still silently haunting his parents.

Hi there, love your blog! was wondering if you could help me find a scene that I'm only half-convinced I'm remembering correctly, basically I have a vague memory of Lilah walkin on a rooftop all smug and dramatic, possibly while watching Angel fight. No worries if nothing comes to mind it's just been driving me crazy lol, thanks
hi! thanks! i love that you and everyone following love the blog cause it makes me love running it 😊
okay so fair warning i'm a bigger fan of btvs so i've seen it and know it far better than ats and i haven't even rewatched ats fully in awhile (currently doing the world's slowest rewatch for like a year or two and only on mid s2).
but immediately my brain was like s4! and i think if this isn't a made up memory/dream you have then it's most likely to have happened between s2-4.
but she is also in s1 so that's still a possibility and she's only in 36 episodes, so i could do some sifting through those episodes when i have some time later but for now i figured i would list all the episodes she's in if anyone else wanted to do that.
but also maybe one of the 200+ followers who might all know the show better than i do or at least have seen it more recently, might know exactly what scene you're talking about.
TL;DR: which episode possibly features Lilah walking on a rooftop looking smug and dramatic while possibly watching Angel fight? (sidenote: i just had a memory of i think Lilah and Gavin watching Angel fight from afar... so if i'm right that would narrow it down to episodes with both Lilah AND Gavin.)
episodes with Lilah and Gavin listed under the cut

Saw this post and I- we've really watched Buck lose his shit over Hurt!Eddie twice now, once after the well and again when he was shot, and it's about to happen again when Eddie gets taken hostage, but we haven't really seen an Eddie freak out yet (2x18 wasn't really focused on his reaction, and same with 4x05) and that needs to change.
I know he's cool, calm and collected in the moment (I love that about him) which is why we need a scene to show us his reaction to a hurt Buck after he's out of immediate danger, but before he has a chance to pull himself together.

so you're infamous for not having watched all of merlin and yet still creating absolutely heartbreaking posts about the parallels and i was wondering how you find them if you haven't seen the whole show? are they always parts of the show you have seen, or do you see posts here and then that sparks a connection with something else you've seen? you don't have to answer this if you don't want to, i'm just consistently amazed by your content and i think you're awesome <3
It's a bit of both, actually! Most of my Merlin knowledge comes from content I see on Tumblr, and then secondarily the episodes I have watched (s1, 2x01, 3x04, 3x08, 4x02, 4x05-06, 4x12, 5x13). My thought process when actually finding parallels is something along the lines
1. Seeing a scene/meta
2. Making connection to another scene/meta
3. Thinking "I think there might be another parallel in [another episode]/[another factor e.g. soundtrack/mythology]
4. Skimming through an episode transcript and/or going on a Google hunt in search of a possible parallel
You might ask me why I would sift through the transcript instead of watching the actual episode, but unfortunately that's just how my brain works??? 😭 (idk it's something along the lines of me being afraid that I'll feel too much by actually watching an episode because of the parallels I find so i just. Don't watch the episode???? Ask @arthurpendragonns who got like 83 messages from me after i watched 2x01)
And thank you for your ask! It made my day 🥺🧡

Lol I can't believe I let a Landon anti get me all worried. And I'm not gonna lie I was one of the people who was worried about Aria not being in the show anymore back in the beginning of October. But anyways antis were saying that since Brett said Landon was dead he's not coming back at all blah blah blah. And once my freak out was over I started laughing. And though "this is legacies".
They have hard enough time answering questions and clearing up big plot points for storylines they had going either since the beginning of s3 or even when it comes to Malivore that I personally have been waiting for since s1. Like one of the things I wanted answered was why Malivore took Hope and Golem Landon hairs. They even had Malivore mention it in 3x13 and nothing. So there's just no way and I highly doubt that if their plans are to keep Landon dead or in limbo or whatever forever they wouldn't have wrote him past 4x04(also they way they wrote that scene with him and Ted it was implied they would be getting out of there, at least that's how I saw it). He wouldn't be in 4x05 or 4x06 I'm not sure about 4x07 yet because we haven't gotten the summary for that episode yet. So if they really want it to kill him off they would have just wrote him finding peace or implying that he did at the end of 4x04 and be done with never to be mentioned again(kind of like Rapael after they sent him to the PW). Plus it's Legacies MO to end storylines or even characters with big bows. And never even knowledge it again.
And I honestly feel like it's reaching to think that Landon is never coming back just because Brett said he was dead(and them once again ignoring the part where Brett said that in the universe that death doesn't always mean dead. Or something along those lines I can't remember). But if antis want to believe that then so be. I'll just have a good laugh at their reactions once Landon is back in the land of the living. I know it's wrong to say that but I'm just so tired of getting attacked for no other reason than being a Landon stan.
P.s thanks for listening to my rant/vent. Any thoughts if don't mind sharing that is.
Same! No because I legit had like one day where I was genuinely worried that Aria wasn’t gonna be on the show anymore. Not because of what antis were saying (idc what they have to say) but because we’d seen that Aria wasn’t on set for quite some time (that we know of), and I also wouldn’t blame Aria for wanting to be done. But I guess we know why he wasn’t there at the beginning now, he wasn’t in 4x05 like some had thought. (They really had the nerve to not have him in an episode again, after a whole season of his character being absent. 😑) But yeah, I’ve also seen people thinking Brett confirmed Landon is dead for good and not coming back, which is ridiculous. Exactly, it’s Legacies. And do they really think Landon’s story is just gonna end with him trapped in limbo with Ted?
And right? It’s insane to me that they would leave so much unexplained, they didn’t clear up anything! I feel the same way, I’ve been waiting for certain things to be answered since season 1 and we’ve gotten no answers at all. And yeah! What about the hairs? That was this really threatening, mysterious scene, and what was it for?? Malivore said in 3x13 that he’d taken some of golem Landon’s hair to test, but why did he take Hope’s? That was the extent of their explanation for that scene?
And yeah, I think if they were gonna have Landon be gone for good, they would’ve just had him finding peace. Why have him stuck in limbo and, like you said, write the scene the way they did with Ted saying, “we’ve figured our way out of worse.” They’re obviously gonna find a way out, or at least Landon is. That’s how I saw it too. And even though he wasn’t in 4x05, he’s gotta be in 4x06 since Landon is mentioned in the synopsis. And hopefully we’ll find out more about 4x07 soon, but surely Landon isn’t going anywhere. I agree, I think if they were gonna get rid of Landon, they would’ve done it before so that they could move on. And good point, they probably would’ve done a bit more, had more of a send-off like they did with Raf, before then acting as if he had never been there, like they do.
Very true, Landon might be dead right now but that doesn’t mean he’s gonna stay dead. As we know, when it comes to this show. And as Brett said himself, so idk why people are ignoring that either. Sure, they can believe it if that’s what they want. They’ll just end up being disappointed, and I’ll be laughing once Landon is back too. And I totally get what you mean, I think Landon fans have it the worst. It’s bad enough in the fandom, but then in the show they treat Landon horribly too, so it never really ends.
And of course! Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me!

Spoiler alert if you haven't watched 4x05 yet.
So this episode wasn't all that great to me. It just didn't really feel like a season opener. But I guess to them it isn't. Since every season opener the person who says the title is either Hope or Landon and it ended up being Rebekah. So there was exactly two things about this episode I liked. 1 no Humanity Hope, I'm loving that way more than I should, and I really mean way more than I should lol(also my heart broke so much when Hope gave Rebekah the necklace back and seeing Rebekah cry bc of it). 2 Triad coming back into play, I mean I figured they might but i wasn't sure. So it looks like they're gonna be the new big bad of the season maybe next season as well if they want to stretch it out.
As for what I disliked about the episode, literally everything else. But the two big things for me was
1. Why on earth would they put Arias name as also staring in the summary if he wasn't going to be in the episode. I spent the whole episode waiting for a Landon scene and we got none. What was the point of that. I swear if Landon doesn't get good amount of scenes in the next episode I will lose it.
2. How not one person at all, not Wade or Jed or even Cleo(who supposably "misses Landon") or Kaleb. Anyone who wasn't the twins thought to go looking for Landons body. You know either to see if it's really gone or if it was still there and to give him a proper burial. Nope no one cared. And then THEN why they thought that Alaric is dying(or did died) they all went out of their way to do something to honor him. 😈😈😈😈 really?!?!?! I mean even if they didn't do something to honor Landon, there could have at least just been ONE mention of someone going to look for his body(I'm not even surprised they just love to disrespect Landon).
P.s I'm never not gonna be pissed about this. So imma stop talking about this before I turn into a completely different person.
I thought overall it was okay, like I thought the tone was better and more consistent. I liked that it was more serious and dark, and it wasn’t as much of a mess. And I loved seeing Rebekah again! (And Summer Fontana in the flashback too!) But yeah, it was sort of a weird way to start a season (with the stuff with Alaric anyway). Oh but I actually didn’t think about Hope and Landon always saying the titles of the first episodes! That’s interesting, I guess if it had to be someone else I’m glad it was Rebekah. I love no humanity Hope too! Although I was expecting a bit more tbh, like we still haven’t even seen Hope feed on anyone? Even with humanity, you’d think she’d be dealing with the bloodlust, so I was expecting her to be out of control but maybe we’ll see that later. Oh and the necklace scene! That hurt so much, and poor Rebekah! 😭 But also, and I posted about this, but that has some potential for good Handon content later if they do a parallel of Landon bringing the necklace back to Hope. But I also hope Rebekah appears in another episode because she wouldn’t just give up on Hope and leave her to wreak havoc. And I’m glad they’re bringing Triad back. I really thought they just dropped that like so many other things, so I’m hoping it’ll be good. It does seem like they’re gonna be the villains of this season, so I’m looking forward to something different and villains who aren’t monsters.
And same! I was waiting to see Landon the whole time and thought we would at least see him at the very end (like in 3x05) but we got nothing? Fr, why put his name in the summary if he’s not in it? He had better get plenty of screen time next episode. It’s just insane to me. Like they literally went almost an entire season without the real Landon, now we’re in this new season and they’re still not gonna show him?! When will it end? Is this just gonna keep happening where he “dies” at the end of the season, and then they try and keep it a mystery by having him not appear in the first episode of the new season? I’m so tired.
And my gosh, I just can’t even describe how upset I am over how they continue to treat Landon. Literally no one makes the effort to go look for his body?? They barely mention him, but can’t even do anything to honor him at all? Yeah, I’m sure Cleo misses him so much after talking to him like twice. And since she’s the one who prevented him from being summoned, or since MG was the one who prevented Landon from being saved in the very beginning, since they all did their part to make sure Landon ended up dead, you’d think at least one of them could try and find his body to bury him or do something. But no. And yes, they’ll of course all honor Alaric and take them time to do that... I just can’t. It’s unbelievable. And it doesn’t seem to matter how many times this kind of stuff happens, I never really get used to it. It’s still so painful and upsetting to watch every single time. I’m never not gonna be pissed about it either. And I’ll probably be ranting about this some more, but for now, I’ll just leave this here.

Answering questions about Eagles 4x05–4x06 (Part 2) 🏒
Here's the second part of my compiled answers of the questions you guys have sent me about the latest two episodes! If you missed the first part, you can find it here. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
I think Elias is in a terrible state of mind right now after dealing with the pressure of hockey and struggling with an untreated eating disorder.
While Elias definitely has been acting like an idiot and been incredibly rude to the people around him (who are also just trying to help), I think a lot of us are forgetting what having an eating disorder can actually do to someone. Not getting the nutrition that your body needs to function properly can definitely result in someone acting the way that Elias has been doing.
Elias in his regular state would never act in such a horrible way, so I'm pretty convinced that his behavior stems from an insane amount of pressure that he's put on himself and also his thoughts being all over the place from a mental disorder.
I hope we'll see Elias make it through his struggles and apologize to Amie (and other people around him who have tried to help only to be met with rude remarks), but with only four episodes left I wonder if that will be possible without having things feel rushed.
Tumblr media
Merci beaucoup pour votre question !
I agree with you—I'm really missing the Elias and Amie moments a lot, so all these awkward glances between them is killing me. But I've also been preparing myself for them having to go through a rough patch.
A lot of us have a hard time understanding Elias right now. I think it's a combination of the eating disorder and the pressure of elite sports being difficult to understand as most people haven't experienced those things, but also because Elias's storyline hasn't been properly developed by the writers. We know that he's struggling right now, but there also seems to be missing details that were needed to sell the storyline.
I definitely understand what you mean when you say that you can't really understand how Elias is feeling towards Amie. He's pushed her aside and blamed her for "going behind his back" when she was only doing the right thing. I hope Elias will understand that soon.
Tumblr media
Your disappointment is totally justified. I knew we would be getting some angst between Elias and Amie since, of course, they couldn't spend the whole season just being a happy couple.
But it's a completely different story when Elias is not only pushing Amie away, but also blaming her and thinking she betrayed him when Amie was just (rightfully) concerned about Elias.
It's really hard to understand where Elias is coming from with all this. I know it probably stems from the pressure he's under as well as his eating disorder, but I wish Elias would stop acting like what Amie did is unforgivable.
Tumblr media
Same! I've loved all the little bits we've seen of Omar's documentary (as well as seeing him scare people away with his Eagles-branded camera). They should release a full version of his documentary lmao.
I think that Omar and Klara were never really meant to be a full-fledged romantic couple with a developed storyline, but rather just a fun side-plot. Someone speculated that Omar will be the one who takes Klara to the school prom so we might see them have some interaction there. They might even get together, but I don't think we'll see as much of their relationship as we would from Felicia/Ludde or Elias/Amie.
Tumblr media
Maybe! I still have a hard time understanding how Second Sight became such a hit in the Eagles universe, but oh well. I guess there has to be something playing on the radio.
I was really proud of Amie for giving all the rights of the song to Ludde. That just goes to show how much she's grown since season 2 when she crossed his name off the contract.
Tumblr media
I have mixed feelings about it. In the beginning I thought it was a really interesting storyline to do, and I was curious to finally see a male character have an eating disorder on TV (instead of the more common trope of having a female character struggling with eating).
The storyline was pretty promising but right now, with so few episodes left, I don't really know if we'll get a satisfying conclusion. It's hard to understand how Elias is feeling and this has caused a lot of viewers to be frustrated with his behavior towards the other characters (mostly Amie).
I have a hard time imagining how they will conclude the eating disorder storyline in such a short amount of time and on top of that get Elias and Amie back together (and on their way to the US, if that's even happening).
Tumblr media
At first I interpreted the "bittersweet ending" comment to mean that Ludde and Felicia wouldn't end up together, but it could definitely mean that Andreas will die.
If they are indeed doing a timejump in the final episode, then Andreas might've died sometime during that time. They might do something with adult Ludde visiting Andreas' grave or something.
I hope that won't happen because I will ugly cry and that will not be pretty sight.
Tumblr media
I'm sure that Elias still (truly, madly) deeply loves Amie. He's definitely mad at Amie after what she did, even if she was 100% in the right for doing so. But the love he has for her won't just fade away overnight.
So, to me, his silence was for dramatic effect. Maybe Elias stayed silent to think over Ludde's point, or he was simply just angry like you said.
Honestly, I don't know exactly how Felicia found out about Elias and Amie! I'm guessing that she simply picked up on the signs like Klara did.
Tumblr media
You're 100% correct! I've mentioned it a few times in separate posts, because it's one of the storylines that I find to be the most unrealistic.
I wish I could say that the storyline has improved with the label trying to screw Amie over, but I have to say no. Their reason for doing it is still based on the idea that Amie is supposed to be a hugely successful and talented artist that they absolutely cannot lose (even though they must have other more established artists, surely), and I find that unrealistic.
Amie is a pretty mediocre artist with mediocre songs. None of her songs are as catchy as the characters in-universe are trying to convince us they are. I know this is a low-budget show and cranking out catchy hit songs definitely isn't an easy feat, but that's why they shouldn't have turned Amie into a successful pop star so fast.

That TV Insider article just after the S3 finale, Schulner said "How does a secret like that eat away at the foundation of a relationship and a love affair? It’s a little like having an affair. Once you have a secret in a relationship with somebody, it’s not benign, it eats away, it lives, it impacts things"... with the exception of 4x02, we haven't seen any eating away or "impacts things" as they've been very happy and cute. My guess is during or after 4.05. Buckle up!
i'm kinda in the head in sand mindset rn where i'll take the facing obstacles together and coming out stronger and a little more in love storylines for as long as the writers wanna keep it going. the dread of the drama is real 😭
but like i mentioned before, i definitely came into this season expecting lauren to be jumpy right off the bat and nervous about every little thing. so if we're all still operating under the assumption that this is a ~22 episode season and ep 10 is the midseason finale.... something's bound to give soon. it's gotta be some kind of trigger point that starts lauren fixating over the fact that she has this secret.
it makes sense that lauren's mom making a reappearance can drag up some family scars and maybe even bring out an ugly side of lauren since we know how deep the hurt runs. especially when it comes to putting hope into believing her mom has changed for the better. but, and i just cannot let go of this lol, they were mending their relationship the last time we saw them in s2.
the synopsis for 4x07 also dropped today. "max and bloom are shocked when a deadly ambulance crash reveals a dangerous plan" perhaps that'll be another stressor and reminder of their own ambulance crash 🤔 ALSO lauren doesn't have her own summary line in the 4x06 synopsis so maybe they're keeping it hidden for a reason???? Much To Think About.
whatever it is, we've got 48 hours left to speculate on 4x05 😩
