Ludwig von Koopa (Head)canons

Cunning, conniving, and classy; this is the surface level of the pompous prodigy we all know and love... or hate. Here's everything you need to know about him to familiarize yourself with my story.

G͟e͟n͟e͟r͟a͟l͟ I͟n͟f͟o͟r͟m͟a͟t͟i͟o͟n͟

18 years old.

- Very important to note: Dragon Koopas do not age the same as humans. It is unknown how they age in equivalence to humans, but the adult age for dragon koopas is their early 30's. Dragon koopas can live for several centuries. The maximum years of life is unknown.

Transgender man, he/him. Gay, asexual, and amicusromantic.

-Transitioned after his 13th birthday. Chose the name Ludwig, loving the high end and fancy sound of it.

Is autistic and completely deaf. Uses hearing aids designed by Iggy to hear.

Ludwig has always been attracted to men, but after transitioning he went through a short period of "now being attracted to girls", because everyone has to be straight, right? Lmao it took a conversation with Kamek to clear that up.

- (P.S. Everyone in my story is asexual because "it"™ doesn't exist haha)

Eldest of the 7 koopalings

- All are biological siblings, born to the late Morton Koopa Sr. and Adaeh Koopa

Self proclaimed leader of the Koopalings. His siblings do not agree with this notion, reminding him that they're a team.

Adopted by Bowser, along with his siblings, at 12 years old

It is unkown exactly how his parents died, but he vividly remembers that fateful day.

- He has uncomplicated PTSD formed from this event. He doesn't currently receive therapy (yet)

Here's the whole story about that:

All creatures in the Mario world... the Underground whatever it's called have all the races/ethnicities of humans. Ludwig and his siblings are German and British from their father, and South African from their Mother.

C͟h͟a͟r͟a͟c͟t͟e͟r͟

Of course, Ludwig is a lil bitch at heart. He's snooty, snarky, sarcastic, stubborn, bossy and arrogant... You get it. Buuuuut! He's not completely terrible and unpleasant. He has a certain persona he puts on when in the face of the general public. He's the GREAT and POWERFUL Ludwig von Koopa, he has a reputation to uphold! However; those who get the rare chance to know him outside of work and royalties will notice he's actually much more lively. He's witty, likes to make bad puns, and LOOOOVES to gossip for hours (whether good or bad) on end.

He usually favors the sound of his own voice, but he's a good listener at times, too!

As you might already know, Ludwig is a total drama queen and lives for theatrics. This means he will show off at any given chance, and act super extra. Think of Rarity from MLP having one of her "moments".

As he stated in Bowser Jr.'s Journey, he never backs down from a fight or challenge. This is driven by his insatiable need to prove himself and pride.

He used to beat himself up pretty bad when losing a fight or challenge, but has gotten a lot better at accepting defeat or trying not to be too upset about it. Take his loss to Mario in Color Splash as an example of him humbling himself and accepting defeat- but also take his loss to Waluigi in the 2020 Olympic Games as how he can still get upset.

He knows he can't be the very best at everything... but that doesn't mean he can't be in the top 5, y'know? So even if he is humbled after losing and embarassing himself, that only means he'll work twice as hard to perfect his skills for next time. I'll get you next time, He-Man...

Speaking of perfection, Ludwig is very knowledgeable and has seemingly endless talents. He can play over 200 instruments, excels in acting, is a surprisingly good singer and painter, and is very well educated in general studies. While wanting to be the very best certainly plays a part in why he's so ambitious, the main reason is because he simply loves learning and doing.

- He owns Ludwig Painting as seen in Mario Kart. His company is in charge of giving each kart their exterior paint job.

Time for a secret... Ludwig has always been an eager student, but has intensified to who is today because of the loss of his parents. Being the oldest, he believed it was his sole responsibility to care for his siblings. He would not allow the destruction and death from before to ever happen again. Once being taken in by Bowser, he quickly introduced himself to the luxurious resources around him to begin a journey of scholarship that still continues to this day.

Kamek was the one who gave the 7 of them their wands. This was not the first time Ludwig was introduced to magic, however. His mother was a sort of "earthy" witch, knowing how to mix up various potions and natural remedies, which she taught Ludwig. To hold a staff of power capable of virtually anything he could dream of, Ludwig chose magic to be his "major". Kamek would personally teach Ludwig magic beyond what he would teach his siblings, since Ludwig was the one who insisted so badly.

- Ludwig might have the strongest magic of his siblings, but don't let that trick you into thinking he's the strongest of them all. Usually, his showboating leads to his downfall.

As his siblings grew older (and with the help of Kamek to talk some sense into him), Ludwig stopped thinking it was his sole responsibility to take care of them. They didn't really want/need that kind of help from him anymore, and it was a bit frustrating to get that through his head.

Beneath those tough scales, Ludwig really does have a heart. He can be kind, and he likes to show affection. It's actually a lot easier to get along with him than it seems, so long as you have patience and don't let his self-absorption bother you too much.

Speaking of affection, he's not ashamed or afraid to let others know that he cares for them. It won't really show when he's engaged in battle, but find him in the castle on an eventless day and you'd see him acting like a normal big brother.

You'd think he'd want to be ruler of the Dark Lands, but that's not actually the case. He deeply cares for Jr. and knows he has great potential- hence why he's always trying to teach and point him in the right direction.

- Let's talk more on what Ludwig likes to do for himself: -

Ludwig takes excellent care of himself. He has an intricate routine for keeping himself radiant every single day (like scale exfoliation, etc). Every night, he puts his hair in curlers and wears a purple silk bonnet. He loves feeling physically fulfilled and looking his best.

His hair is his greatest pride. It's thick, reverently fluffy and voluminous. It's beauty brings him great happiness.

- His hair is naturally curly. It gets that shape from the curls. If you ran your fingers through it, you could feel the texture.

He is more than happy to tell you all about hair care and give you a few tips

He loves frills, hence why he wears that jabot all the time.

He loves to paint outside in the sun. He isn't too good at drawing, so he usually paints scenery and other things that require abstract shapes. He never sketches on the canvas prior to the paint.

This is so obvious, but it should be said anyway; music is his driving force and passion. He only has 5 officially published original works, but has so, so many more unpublished. He creates at a rather fast pace, so he decides to hold back on releasing them until he "feels" it's the right time. He has published many covers of existing songs, though.

- It was his dad that taught him how to play music and his mom who taught him how to sing. The first instrument he ever played was the piano, hence why it's his favorite.

Ludwig experiments with his music. Yes, classical is his favorite and what he's best at, but his passion is music as a whole. He's even dipped his feet in some alternative genres! It's death metal, heavy metal and the stuff Larry listens to (hyperpop, gabba, speedcore etc) that he can't stand.

- Since meeting Suzuka, he's been trying to be more accepting of the rock genres that he loves. He won't want to listen to it, but will support Suzie's decisions and even help him write his music sometimes (as long as it's not the "heavy" parts)

Before meeting Suzie, Ludwig didn't write much poetry, but as it turns out, he's fairly good at it! He and Suzie like to leave suprise love poems lying around for the other to find.

- He may have or may not have left ominous riddle poems lying around to mess with his siblings...

Ludwig is a pretty good cook and baker. He doesn't normally make the meals, since Bowser has employees for that; but if the chefs were ever unavailable, he wouldn't be lost. He likes to joke that he could easily replace the chefs based on his experience of making food for all his siblings. He usually says that to the head chef, because it amuses him to get under their skin.

- The head chef usually gets pissed at this joke, attempting to throw spices and utensils at Ludwig to get him out of the kitchen.

Ludwig loves the theater. He will go to every new show in any kingdom, even if it's in the Mushroom Kingdom. He knows that Mario will be breathing down his neck, but he likes to annoy him and act like he's never done any wrong and act offended at Mario's accusations that he would try to sabotage the show.

- Lemmy usually tags along, as he loves theater too.

Quality time is a must for Ludwig. He likes to hang out with his siblings individually, then all together. As much as he would like to have one-on-one time with Jr., it nearly never happens because the heir is preoccupied with his dad, Kamek, school, and learning to be a prince. He did at least get to teach him to dance once, though. (end credits of Bowser Jr.'s Journey)

- Quality time with Suzie is a whole 'nother story. The two don't spend much time apart.

R͟e͟l͟a͟t͟i͟o͟n͟s͟h͟i͟p͟s͟

Ludwig loves all of his siblings equally. The ones he loves are the most important thing in the world to him. His deepest fear is losing his loved ones.

With Iggy: Ludwig often gets annoyed by Iggy's lack of seriousness and class, but that doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy Iggy's company. They both share the insatiable hunger for knowledge, love of science and robotics. They get along very well because guess what? They're both cuckoo insane! I honestly think Lud is crazier than Iggy! Iggy knows how to make Ludwig laugh, no matter what kind of day he's had. Iggy is also a very touch affectionate koopa, so she'll often do this thing where he'll just stand behind Ludwig and rest her head on top of Lud's hair because it's funny. Iggy also manages to steal a hug at least once a day. And often pranks Ludwig with a joke very often. Hey Ludwig wanna get up dog what's up dog not much what's up with you

With Morton: Ludwig almost never gets mad or annoyed with Morton on his own. Morton likes to talk a lot when spoken to and is a very good listener, so Ludwig enjoys having long conversations with him. Ludwig likes to bake with Morton as well, since they both share the interest. He tried to teach Morton how to cook once, but never again after his hair was almost burned off. The two also share an interest in music, so Ludwig will use Morton as a critique when writing new pieces. Ludwig is also more than glad to serve as a listener to Morton when he wants to speak, and serve as feedback for Morton's very long fictional stories.

With Roy: Ludwig is very patient with Roy's short temper and aggressive nature- maybe because he simply doesn't want to get his ass kicked, or maybe he's just used to it by now. He's not often prone to being hit by Roy, given that he would get him back with a nasty magic trick. Roy usually picks on Ludwig verbally (the usual insults you hear about him. It's pretty funny). Regardless, he does not look down on Roy. When you're not looking, he'll smile at Roy's wisecracks and silly nature. Ever since Roy has taken his studies more seriously, Ludwig listens to him more often and ask for his opinion when on missions. Roy will actually ask Ludwig for homework help more often than you'd think. Ludwig is always more than willing, as teaching others is actually something Ludwig loves to do. Ludwig wishes he could show Roy a bit of affection, but we all know Roy's not a fan of that.

With Wendy: Ludwig and Wendy are the young and cunty Statlor and Waldorf. They have mad gossip and drama to share at all times, and confide in each other with their deepest secrets. Wendy actually transitioned shortly after Ludwig, which was the start of the closeness they still share today. They love giving each other make-overs and shopping together. Ludwig enjoys asking Wendy to put on a magic ring show for him, as he doesn't know how to use magical objects very well, such as her bracelets. He loves how graceful yet powerful she is. He considers asking Kamek to teach him how to do something like that at times. Ludwig is the one who taught Wendy how to style hair, despite having none of her own, so that he could ask her to do his. He secretly enjoys when others play with his hair, but trusts very few to actually touch it.

With Lemmy: Ludwig will act like he doesn't care for Lemmy's silly theatrics and clowny behavior, but actually very much enjoys it. He loves Lemmy's individuality and how he brings it forth to the spotlight wherever he is. As I mentioned before, Ludwig brings Lemmy along whenever he goes to the theater. Both enjoy sharing artistic ideas and even collaborating, whether it be on a stage-play or a painting. Ludwig wouldn't admit to this, but he is secretly awed by Lemmy's natural emotional maturity. He often thinks about asking Lemmy for advice or just having him as someone to talk to about his anxieties and fears, but never does because Lemmy is still rather young. He imagines confiding in his younger brother about these things one day, when he's older. (Here's another secret... Ludwig actually likes the circus.)

With Larry: Larry is the one Ludwig parents the most. Outside of missions for Bowser, Ludwig keeps a careful eye on his youngest sibling. That's a lot harder said than done, though; Larry is a hyper-energetic kid who's always wanting to do his own thing. Ludwig is constantly trying to teach Larry everything he can learn- which he's done a pretty good job with!- but keeps pushing Larry to do more and more, which frustrates and confuses the youngest. Ludwig just wants to ensure the youngest has everything he could ever need in life, but he comes off as though he's not proud of him sometimes. That is 100% not the case, but Ludwig is letting his fears and anxiety get the best of him. They do get along well, though. Larry enjoys playing with Ludwig, and typically succeeds in bringing out the elder's inner child. They have that special big-bro-little-bro bond.

With Jr: Just like with Larry, Ludwig wants Jr to be the very best he can. Considering this little one is going to be his king in the future, he finds it his responsibility to "guide" Jr in the right direction. Basically, he's copying Kamek's role in this aspect 😂 But unlike Kamek, who has many years of life experience, Ludwig is far too direct and talks too much for Jr's liking. The two koopas know that they care for each other, but sometimes personalities clash. Their interactions often result in banter and disagreements, but they can relax and just have fun on occassion when they put their ego's and stubborness aside.

💜 With Suzuka: Suzuka is Ludwig's one and only. He knew there was something special about him from the first time they met. They've been going steady for almost a year, and their love for one another just keeps growing. Ludwig will spend every second of his time with Suzie if he can help it. The two often indulge and collaborate on musical works and teach each other new things. Both koopas are well associated with the other's family, and frequent activities with them (such as dinner, helping out with chores, etc). Ludwig is usually the first to initiate physical affection, but both equally enjoy cuddling with each other at any time.

- Lore time... From the second time they met, he was drawn in even further after working together to help Iggy's stupid newest invention from destroying the jungle world (it's a long story). Suzie was smart, sweet and so unintentionally charismatic that Ludwig knew he had to forge a formal friendship with him. He thought it would be smooth sailing from there... But there was actually a small bump in the road. Ludwig was horrified that Suzie's favorite genre of music was metal (More specifically j-metal but to Ludwig it's all the same)! This actually upset Ludwig for a while, and he was not shy to share his opinions with Suzie. Suzie just went :3. He respected Ludwig's opinion, and it's not like he was unfamiliar with hatred towards rock genres as it was lol. Like the drama queen he is, Ludwig tried to distance himself, but Suzie invaded his thoughts all the time (and not to mention his siblings really like him too, and would hang out with him). In an instance when the two were alone, Suzie played some classical on the piano to get him to come around. Which totally worked, and (consciously) wooed Luddy for the first time. So Ludwig decided he would try to grow as a person (or Koopa??) for Suzie. He was way too special to ditch over something silly. The months would pass, the feelings would grow, and we end up at Christmas. With the holiday spirit in the air, Ludwig finds he can't keep it a secret anymore and confesses to Suzie. The two have been going steady ever since!

F͟u͟n͟ F͟a͟c͟t͟s͟

Iggy always knew that Luddy totally liked Suzie like that. He thought that was super sweet and encouraged it! But Ludwig was like NO I DO NOT!!!! Which made Iggy go ?????@?!?@# They would have comical arguments about it, like:

- (they're humans in this magma doodle but it's fine it's the same shiz shhh)

Ludwig is a big foodie, with a heavy preference for sweets. He would autistically explain to you the history behind a dish and how it should be made/served

He went completely deaf at some point when he was 14. No one is sure how or why. He used typical hearing aids for a while, until Iggy devised his own pair that Ludwig could wear 24/7 without causing discomfort. They are charged by geothermal energy. If Ludwig happens upon a place where the heat from the Earth cannot easily reach up to the surface (for example somewhere very cold), the hearing aids will go into manual charge mode and have 24 hours of battery.

While Ludwig didn't had a partner before Suzuka, he did go on some dates in the past. Maybe 5 or 6? [I'm undecided lmao] They were all boys of higher class or with some title to their name from neighboring kingdoms, with the exception of one who was a Koopa troop guard in training. Ludwig doesn't really talk to them anymore, but would say hello if running into them.

His tail will wag when he's feeling affection for someone. Hugging a sibling? Little tail wags. Snuggling Suzie? Big tail wags. You get it

Is a total romantic. Will do the corniest things but look good doing it because of his talents in music and acting. He enjoys showing pda, usually through hand holding or keeping his partner close to his side at all times.

His favorite play is probably The Phantom of the Opera

He resonates with victorian goth

Claims to be ruthless, but has anyone actually ever seen him display such intense behavior that went beyond words?

- Even so, he does get a bit cuckoo at times. It may be a result of neurosis.

He actually doesn't use hairspray or gel

Of the siblings with hair, he's been able to teach Larry and Lemmy how to do theirs

He's fairly easy to annoy. It makes for fun pranks and jokes to pull on him

As stated in Bowser Jr.'s Journey, he's quite good at lying, deceiving, and negotiating. You may wanna be cautious around him.

It's really not that hard to make friends with Ludwig. It's just very dependent on the circumstances under which you meet.

Conner Kent Headcanons

He enjoys doing mundane or domestic tasks like cooking, sweeping, watching TV—simple, homey things ground him.

He has a photographic memory that activates when he focuses. It helped him a lot during his time with the Teen Titans.

He has a natural talent for emotionally reading people.

He has written poetry in secret. Cassie is the only one who has ever read them, and they often reflect his insecurities and his deep longing for a real sense of home.

The Kent farm is his emotional retreat; it’s where he feels most in tune with his human side.

He keeps an old photo of Young Justice with great care—it’s wrinkled at the edges from how often he looks at it.

He doesn’t feel comfortable in the Fortress of Solitude if he’s alone.

He’s fascinated by the Kryptonian language and culture, but gets frustrated that he can’t learn it easily.

He loves shooting stars. He lies down to watch them whenever he can—never to make wishes, just to remind himself that the universe is bigger than his problems.

He enjoys simple crafts, like building things out of wood. One time, he made Bart a custom comic book stand.

He secretly loves classic science fiction novels (The Martian Chronicles, 1984, Ender’s Game), but doesn’t admit it easily.

Why, of course! I’m assuming you’re looking for headcanons, so headcanons you shall receive! ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶

╰┈➤ JURI & NANAMI HEADCANONS!

(Entirely platonic! :)) I like to think that everyone escapes Ohtori eventually. I personally believe Wakaba or Juri is next in line after Nanami, and despite the fact that Nanami barely interacted with/seemingly disliked Juri, being a part of Ohtori must’ve bonded them to each other. I like to think that they’d meet up after escaping, and Juri would make a much healthier sibling figure than freaking TOUGA.

❤︎ Elaborating on the yapping in my reblog, I think Juri would make gentle suggestions to Nanami pertaining her fashion/appearance. Like something like “your braid is pretty, but have you ever considered getting bangs?”, and Nanami lashes out and is like “no, I think I know what I’m doing! What do you know anyway?!” and storms off. But later, she cuts her own bangs (or just takes out her braid, her bangs in the anime are super cute and giving highland cow!!) and is like “damn she was right” and takes whatever advice. Juri would notice and say “oh, you took my suggestion! You look great!” and Nanami would be like “NO. THIS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR SUGGESTION. I made my own decision, based on my impeccable fashion sense.. haha..” *insert hysterical, haughty cackling from the English dub*

❤︎ If we take the egg episode as literally a metaphor for menstruation, then Juri absolutely knew what Nanami meant and was just teasing her. That translates to Juri absolutely TROLLING her when Nanami comes to her about her period. Either “you’re bleeding down there..? That’s not normal. We’ll have to take you to the doctor and have them cut open your stomach to see what the problem is.” OR “you haven’t been bleeding down there? That’s so weird, I’ve been doing it since I was in three, and I was a late bloomer. You’ll probably start molting, too.. wait, you haven’t even started shedding?” And she would have the quintessential poker face too.

❤︎ I’m probably way off the mark, but I can see Nanami’s hair just being overly brushed-out, damaged curls (wanting her hair to be straight like Touga’s.. ugh) and she never realized how to properly care for it with Touga having a different hair type and her parents being out of the picture. Juri would notice and be like “girl, your hair is completely screwed-up” and show her her curly hair routine! They definitely go through it together every week, and if they don’t live together, Nanami is definitely self-conscious (and paranoid about her hair being ruined) enough to call her and have Juri walk her through all the steps (“JURI. AM I SUPPOSED TO PUT IT ON MY ROOTS OR ENDS? I DON’T CARE IF YOU’RE AT WORK MY HAIRRR”) and even after Juri gives her written instructions, she still calls Juri anyway because she secretly wants to talk to her more T-T

❤︎ Neither of them can cook. Like at all. Nanami attempts shaped pancakes and asks Juri to guess the shape she made, and Juri is like “a dog..?” and Nanami is like “are you mocking me?! it’s a HEART.” And Juri is like “… my next guess was a horse.” But don’t get me wrong, Juri’s no good either. She gives good chef vibes, but was probably far too depressed about Shiori to cook properly during her high school days. Though she’s far more aware than Nanami who thinks of herself as a Michelin-level cook… anyway, Juri would absolutely try and disguise takeout or microwaveable frozen food as a home cooked meal. (“Wow, Juri, this is actually quite good, but kind of cold in some spots… wait, is this instant ramen?!”) P.S. Nanami absolutely became a vegan after Ohtori, iykyk.

❤︎ Nanami would so be a designer fashion designer and Juri would be a model, either for designer clothes or athletic wear, probably both. They would be a girlboss and girlboss duo, I can imagine Nanami designing something tailored for Juri and being extremely shy about showing her the initial sketches. Juri would be sobbing internally from how perfect it was. I can totally see Nanami panicking during her speech at her first fashion show, and instinctively looking to Juri for encouragement — Juri smiles at her, and that’s all she needs to give it her all!

❤︎ Juri’s probably mostly moved on from Shiori by the time she’s out of Ohtori, but Nanami is still overprotective. Probably interrogating all the girls Juri goes out with the ensure “they’re worth Juri’s time.” Even though she can be a bit much at times, she truly wants what’s best for Juri. She might even set Juri up on a few dates! But there will be a whole lot of snide remarks about “you’re so much prettier than Shiori, I don’t know what Juri saw in her” or making jokes about how they should run away from Juri before it’s too late.

❤︎ Juri quietly admires Nanami for being able to let go of Touga. At Nanami’s age, she was clinging to Shiori like a codependent lifeline. And she definitely took much longer than Nanami did to move past it, and she hasn’t even fully recovered. Nanami is far from being fully mature, but she’s wise beyond her years.

❤︎ Nanami notices Juri instinctively clutching at the place where her locket used to be and buys her a “best friends forever” (or perhaps, best sisters forever?) heart to replace it. Nanami is super flustered about “you don’t have to wear if you don’t want to!!” but Juri wears it everyday now. Nanami always keeps her half of the heart somewhere on her always, as well.

❤︎ Nanami feels awful for how she tormented Anthy. Her and Juri have a late-night talk about how much they’ve hurt her, what with Juri perpetuating the system that made her suffer so, and Juri cries for the first time in front of Nanami. They cry together. I think.

❤︎ Wholesome time! Tickle battles. Nanami is ticklish everywhere, and Juri is all too amused with catching a perfectly peaceful Nanami off guard. Juri is probably only ticklish in a totally random place, which Nanami has the fortune in finding, but is super super sensitive. Nanami has no issue leveraging this. Juri won’t buy her something? Prepare for an attack.

❤︎ Looping back to fashion for the end! I believe it’s how they connect. Absolutely matching outfits and jewelry. They make TikToks, Pinterest posts, the whole shebang. Literally ‘Besties don’t copy, they match.’ And though Juri gives suggestions, if Nanami truly wants to stick to a bold choice, she will support her girl. That cheetah print is certainly something, but you look great Nanami go off girl! I think she hypes her up similarly for all facets of like. Nanami can’t drive? “It’s okay, all those cars should’ve moved out of the way just for you. Who do they think they are?” or “Yes, run over that curb! It probably deserves it!” while risking death in Nanami’s passenger seat.

HEADCANONS ABOUT MATT (because i'm bored and i'm obsessed with him)

(Maybe I'll make some new headcanons about the other characters, I just love talking about them).

I'm a little new here, I'm a newbie, BUT I'M STILL GOING TO TALK A LOT ABOUT THIS ARG! 💕

Concepts for the Fandom IG

If your hair follicles are damaged, hair can grow back white or gray.

Now because of Sandor’s burns being particularly bad, there probably is a mass die off of a lot of his hair follicles so he just physically cannot grow hair on some parts of his head, but on others, due to the melanocytes (the thing needed to produce any form of color in the hair, skin and eyes of the human body) dying or being damaged first, the hair that would grow back like his eyelashes and the occasional stream of hair would be white or gray.

I know there is dye of some form in ASOIAF, hair dye has been around since literally forever in our world, with the oldest recipe to date being found to be from 2177 BCE (4191 years ago), so legitimately he could most certainly just dye the white hairs to hide them since, with how self conscious he is about his bald spot, the more hair he has, the better it would be to cover it up so shaving them off would defeat the purpose of the combover more or less. If they’re white they’ll stick out like a sore thumb.

Also, with Sandor’s scarring being the way it is, I know George said everything works just fine on that side of his head, but Sandor’s face is actually MELTED.

Genuinely, a large portion of his outer ear is GONE, with his helix being fused with the rest of his head and most of it from that portion down being gone as well. If they’re fire did that much damage to his outer ear, it’s very likely he’s possibly mostly or completely deaf in that ear.

With the same thing being said about his eye, he’s probably also blind in that eye for the most part, it is just that a cataract never formed over that eye, which in some eye injuries just genuinely doesn’t happen, but it doesn’t negate the blindness that would have been caused by the fire potentially detaching his retina or even rupturing it due to the damage from the fire.

Mind you this is all speculation considering this would be before skin grafts were ever a thing let alone modern surgery, so Sandor’s wound would be a lot more debilitating in my own opinion. And it definitely leaves room for me to further understand and develop Sandor in my own writing being particularly grumpy because he has chronic pain due to his facial scarring.

The reason that it doesn’t bother Sandor as much is because he’s like 35 in the HBO show and therefore has literally been dealing with these issues for 28 YEARS so he’s completely adapted to his disabilities. He would definitely have flare ups though and that skin would most definitely be VERY thin and weak. Fingernails would be absolutely able to tear it open.

Morton Koopa Jr. (Head)Canons

He's big, he's tall, and speaks loudly- but don't let his exterior fool you. Morton is the sweetest Koopaling of the bunch with a lot more to him than lies at the surface.

G̲e̲n̲e̲r̲a̲l̲ I̲n̲f̲o̲r̲m̲a̲t̲i̲o̲n̲

15 years old - Very important to note: Dragon Koopas do not age the same as humans. It is unknown how they age in equivalence to humans, but the adult age for dragon koopas is their early 30's. Dragon koopas can live for several centuries. The maximum years of life is unknown.

Third oldest of the 7 - All are biological siblings, born to the late Morton Koopa Sr and Adaeh Koopa

Story of losing their parents and how they met Bowser:

All creatures in the Mario world... the Underground whatever it's called have all the races/ethnicities of humans. Morton and his siblings are German and British from their father, and South African from their Mother.

C̲h̲a̲r̲a̲c̲t̲e̲r̲

As previously mentioned, Morton is the nicest Koopaling. The only reason you might not see it often is because he's fulfilling his royal militia duties. - When Morton is told to do something by his superiors, he does it. He may even obey his younger siblings in this manner.

Morton does not always speak in the broken English we see in BJJ. He speaks normally; but when he gets anxious or something of that nature, he'll "blank out" and speak that way. It's a symptom.

Morton is very literate and a great writer. He's got lots of (very long) original works and fanfictions he'd love to share. Usually, he reads his work to Ludwig, taking constructive feedback and ideas.

Best listener, hands down. He will listen to any ramblings, complaints, story tellings, gossip etc.

Also has very very high patience. Like... who has seen this guy lose his patience before lol

Morton loves physical affection. Typically, Iggy is the only one who will give him hugs, fist bumps and stuff (since they share a love language). Unlike Iggy, though, Morton doesn't initiate physical contact without explicit permission first. Usually, this means when the other asks, not him. Sometimes he'll give bear hugs without asking when elated, unable to help himself. He means well, though ^^;

Let's say you get the chance to meet him outside of battle or orders. You'd be greeted with lots of friendly conversation, and if all goes well, the request of joining him for a snack. He may or may not insist on cooking/baking you something, or something more simple like tea. In the chance that he wants to cook you something, you're in for a ride. A ride that likely ends in smoke and Kamek screaming for you both to get out of the kitchen.

Speaking of which, cooking and baking is Morton's favorite hobby. Cooking? Let's say he's... Not currently the best at it. The idea of using heat kinda gets to his head. "MORTON IS STRONG!! But fire is stronger ._." When it comes to baking, however, he's excellent at it! He tries to make sweet treats whenever he can; but with such a big family, nothing he bakes lasts more than a week.

He owns Morton Construction as seen in MK8! His company is responsible for constructing the courses. - Of all the companies owned by the Koopalings, his is the biggest in terms of employment. Sometimes, his employees will also do some work for his sibling's companies.

As you can see, Morton has sparse and thin hair. This is a trait he inherited from his father; hair is a recessive gene on that side of the family. - Even so, Morton's hair type is 3b.

As seen in modern games (nsmbw+), Morton doesn't really use pure magic to fight. He's physically the slowest of his siblings, which affects the speed of his magic blasts. To counter this, he'll often transform his wand into objects (commonly mallots), as well as using minions and the environment to his advantage. This is also where his unrivaled raw strength comes in handy; if you fail to block an attack, one hit will leave you significantly damaged. - Magic isn't his strong suit like it is for some of his siblings. He asked Kamek if he could pretty please learn to use it in other ways more suited for him, since Wendy found those magic rings and gets to use them... 🥺🙏LOL Kamek said yea

Morton has always been talkative. Like, REALLY talkative. He's capable of going on and on for hours at a time. It has defenitely annoyed others more often than not in the past, which is why he's a lot better at controlling himself currently. - Mama was one of the people who didn't mind it. Morton's talking was like her background YouTube video while she worked on her witchcraft lol. Dad had his limits, but rather than grow annoyed or frustrated, he'd always say "Let's wrap that up, alright son?" with a smile.

After the loss of his parent's, he was very vocal about his sorrows. Talking was his thing; keeping it bottled up inside like Ludwig wasn't something he was capable of. He needed to express himself, desperate for any kind of consolation to make the pain go away. Morton would come to learn that his parent's patience was a gift that many don't have, leading him to feel isolated and stuck at a road block, unable to see what the future held for him.

Because of how the species within the castle and his own siblings would find him annoying or "odd", Morton got quite insecure with himself. He turned to Kamek for advice, but as you can guess, one simple question turned into a tangent. Wanting to end the conversation as quickly as possible, he told Morton "There's a library filled with information. Please, go read the books." So he did! Having no idea what the word "psychology" was at 9 years old, he simply rummaged through shelves of books in hopes of finding the answers to his questions. At the same time, Ludwig was taking advantage of the library himself; so you can imagine what his reaction was when he stepped into the area to see books discarded everywhere with Morton sitting on top of a pile, hastily skimming pages. "What are you DOING?!" "I'm trying to find the answers like Kamek told me to!" "What??" After a bit of explaining from the both of them, Ludwig helped Morton find the proper sections, where his journey into mindfulness finally began! - It wasn't very easy for Morton to understand the books, though. However, he's no quitter, and an observer. Watching Iggy spend time on the library computer drew himself to the device, where he discovered this box-device is a library within itself! Psych-4-kidz websites helped pave the way for his understanding and devotion to finding the solutions he craved. - Currently, he is the only Koopaling to use such therapeutic methods. He doesn't make it a point to recommend his methods to his siblings because he feels the way they choose to approach their own healing is to be respected. What he doesn't realize is that a hint or a nudge in the logical direction would actually be more beneficial for them.

On the topic of insecurities, Morton has learned to work through them pretty well. For example, Junior can be pretty mean; but it's lessons learned through accumulated knowlege and experience that helps him stay grounded and not let petty insults get to him. One thing that expressing his feelings to his siblings gets him is their unconditional and fierce defense/support ("DON'T SAY BAD THINGS ABOUT MORTON"). Knowing how much they care about him is a reminder that keeps him above the nonsense everytime.

R̲e̲l̲a̲t̲i̲o̲n̲s̲h̲i̲p̲s̲

Morton doesn't have a favorite sibling. He loves them all equally ^ω^

With Ludwig: Ludwig's go to buddy for afternoon tea breaks is Morton. This is how they usually catch up with each other. As we know, Ludwig loves to have any ears listen to him gossip, and Morton's the perfect candidate (maybe even moreso than Wendy, since Morton will let Luddy talk until he wants Morton to jump in). Another thing they have in common is baking and cooking; but if you remember from Ludwig's headcanon post, he refuses to cook with Morton after his hair was almost burned off. Ludwig prefers sweets anyway, so they bake together when they can and share recipies/inspirations. Another activity they enjoy doing together is musical critique. When Ludwig writes up a new song, he'll use Morton for feedback. Ludwig is Morton's first choice to read his stories and fan fictions. He can rely completely on his oldest sibling to give his creative talents acknowledgment.

With Iggy: Morton loves physical affection, and so does Iggy. You'll usually see friendly gestures like Iggy resting his arm on Morton's shoulder, or some other variant of Iggy being on Morton because she is a silly creature (think of the NSMB2 render of the 7 of them). The autism communication frequency waves between these two are in perfect sync, so they always have a good time sharing and talking about their interests. For example, Iggy loves nature and science, so they will tell Morton about the discoveries they make in the Jungle World, as well as facts in general about nature as a whole. They both are active in fandom culture, so they often talk about the medias they're into. Morton loves to write, so Iggy is one of the first to read his stories before posting. Iggy often tries to get the chance to cook with Morton, because she knows an explosion will always ensue... But she tells Morton that's just the process of learning, and that if he keeps practicing he'll achieve amazing things one day.

With Roy: Roy and Morton are usually paired together, being the heavyweights of the bunch. Morton's reserved personality matched with Roy's bluntness is a pretty good combo, being the reason why Roy prefers this older brother to hang out with. Workouts and roughhousing is Roy's preffered way of spending quality time, which Morton is obviously skilled at; but the elder wishes that he could indulge the younger in some calmer activities, like a book club or something. Roy has very short patience, though, so instead Morton takes time to study academics with him. Being patient with his younger brother is rewarding, however; Roy just about never opens up to anyone, but sometimes, he'll consult in Morton. Having Roy's trust is of upmost value to Morton, to the point where the others don't even know about these little conversations. He can always get on Roy's good side with a convincing little snack of his favoite jerky (that, surprisingly, Roy enjoys the way Morton's fire makes the meat nice and charred 😂???).

With Wendy: Just like Ludwig, Wendy likes to use Morton as a gossip buddy. Another thing she likes to use Morton for is makeovers and dress up 😈 He simply does not mind at all! Usually he gets decorated in bows and necklaces and sparkly makeup, and Wendy will also paint his claws sometimes. He'll also do Wendy's makeup and outfits, so it's a fair bond. Wendy is short on patience too, so instead of sharing his stories with her, he'll gossip about things he saw on his social media timeline. This includes showing each other videos, sharing posts, making fun of people, the usual these troublemakers would get up to... But that also includes indulging in Wendy's influencer life. Morton 100% believes that she is worthy and capable of such a title, so he will help her with setting up livestreams, marketing, feedback, all the good stuff. Despite her "all about me" personality, she respects Morton's interests just as much as he respects hers. She loves to watch baking shows/bake with him, serve as a test taster, and collaborate on sweets in general.

With Lemmy: These two are the silly billies when paired together. They don't need to talk much to get along, as they understand each other on a higher level that most don't get. Such is evident when battling against the two; they attack in synchronized methods that weren't even planned beforehand. Does that actually make it a weakness, not having a plan before jumping in? Yeah... Buuuut you'd have to catch on to their fighting styles to figure out how to beat them, which is harder said than done when bombs and spiky creatures are being thrown your way. Other than that, Morton is a fun circus buddy for Lemmy to practice with (and on), and Lemmy is wonderful company to keep Morton from being lonely. Lemmy also loves to use Morton as leverage, since it's easier to sit on his shell than Iggy's. He likes to be tall. Morton appreciates Lemmy's mild mannerisms and kindness, so when even he needs a break from the collective family chaos, Lemmy is the one to spend time with.

With Larry: Morton is usually listening to Larry talk rather than it being a mutual thing. It's okay, though, he doesn't mind at all. Larry's high energy and scatter-brain is entertaining, and he likes to mentally note all the ways his youngest sibling changes as he grows up. Morton usually plays tennis or soccer with Larry, since Larry loves to play sports. They tried to do some equestrian sports with each other, but it wasn't very fun because Morton's weight on the horse compared to Larry's always ensured that Larry won without much competition. Instead, they watch My Little Pony together. You know how Larry eats like there's no tomorrow? Morton has that maternal instinct where he thinks he has to keep the food coming for the precious baby. He's actually lucky he isn't good at cooking, otherwise he'd be like a 50's housewife, trying to keep up with Larry's appetite LMAO. He just has a supply of food with him most of the time and provides when asked by his younger siblings (which drives Ludwig crazy LOL).

With Jr.: Everyone knows Morton is Jr's favorite koopaling. Morton totally knows that! He could not be more elated about it, but he keeps his feelings pretty well contained because he doesn't want the others to feel bad. He takes what Jr dishes out, but never takes it personally; he's just a kid, after all. This is his future king, after all. His father was the one who promised him and his siblings a new life after their loss, and since Jr is lacking a mother, Morton wants to help keep his head up. He knows what it's like to miss mom. Being as fiercely loyal as he is, Morton will never turn his back on Jr (and as we saw in BJJ, it takes powerful mind control to make him do that). Jr is lots of fun, anyway! He's a very creative kid who is constantly on the move, promising adventure and stories to tell. He loves Jr's artwork, and has a whole drawer filled with drawings that he likes to look back on sometimes. It was Jr that got Morton into art himself, actually- he's not as serious about it as Jr is, but he did want to learn to draw simple little things like cartoon caricatures of people (or "every creature" as they say in mlp idk anymore).

F̲u̲n̲ F̲a̲c̲t̲s̲

Romance has never been something Morton really thought about. What helped him pick the aromantic label for himself was the discussion of questioning from his siblings with themselves. It was probably Iggy that helped him get an idea of himself the most. - Romance does not repulse or averse him. He likes the idea of loving others, just in a familial/friendly/platonic way.

Morton chose to run a construction company because it was his siblings who made the suggestion to him.

Just like the rest of his siblings, he is musically inclined and knows how to play a couple of instruments, which are the bass guitar and the trumpet. It's a weird combo but idk okay
