Imagine finally finding someone who understands you, who you care about in a way you’ve never really been able to because you’ve always just been inherently selfish but they’re dying.

But you have a way you can preserve them after they die, to keep them close. You can intertwine your bodies eternally. Posses their remains and make you one

But it’s not the same because they were kind in a way you never could be, they were a hero, and you’re only a mockery of their memory now. Made only to fight and fight in a loop forever because you need violence to live, to feel alive.

And they don’t deserve that violence, they should’ve been able to rest. To finally be able to sleep. But you were selfish, like you’ve always been.

Today marks a very "Happy 35th Birthday!" to the (almost) forgotten classic album by Black Sabbath - Headless Cross.

Soon to be re-released (31st of May 2024) in the 'Anno Domini' box set of four albums featuring the excellent singer Tony Martin- albums all of which have been out of print for decades!
