You posted recently about Rito evolution (I agree, dino!Rito would be v coo) — thoughts on the Oocca being descended from Rito experiencing a very exaggerated form of island dwarfism?

(At least that’s how I chose to explain them in my take on the Zelda Timeline)

Oh! Yeah, that sounds like a lot of fun, actually. Not something I'd ever have the opportunity or interest to really mess around with, but interesting nonetheless. I love the Oocca, I think they're really cool, so playing around with their origins is honestly pretty neat. And considering just how drastic the appearances of evolved Zelda races are (WW Rito, the ones that have canonically evolved, have acquired quite a few humanlike traits) I don't think them losing their beaks and getting elongated heads/front-facing eyes is like, too out of the question. The real thing I'd wonder is why they developed into that particular niche, which is a fun bit of speculation! Would definitely consider making an intermediate form there for fun.
