After donating 10 CAD for help in Gaza I have to do the same for Ukraine, thus I donated the equivalent of 10 CAD (since Paypal payment method use EURO as currency) to Voices of Children.

If you want to support Ukrainians, DO NOT donate to Red Cross. Can't speak about their work in other countries, but they're useless in Ukraine. The only trustworthy international organisation I can think of is World Central Kitchen.

Since Trump wants to abandon Ukraine completely, refusing any NATO integration, and "no longer prioritizes Ukraine's and Europe's defense", it's time europeans realize Putin IS our enemy, as much as Hitler once was.

The US just gave him the green light to invade more european countries, and there is no universe in which Ukraine's defeat will end Putin's war path, he's literally extending his army right now.

Europan leaders and countries are saying statements and donating weapons in response, and that's good, but that's forgetting citizens can also send a message.

You can donate to united24, and give a massive fuck you to Trump (and Musk), on top of actively helping Europe's defense.

Europe is not for them to hand over. Europe is not for grabs. Each European nation is sovereign, as is our Union.

Personally, I am going to tax my thoughts of doom.

In the past I used to donate to LGBTIQ+ Military (Ukrainian NGO) whenever I saw something stupid said about the war online. Today I am donating a fixed amount for every hour I spend thinking how we are fucked.

Ukrainian cities. once these streets were bustling, filled with joyful voices and sounds of car horns, people were preparing for the holidays, decorating their homes and Christmas trees, giving each other gifts and wishing for dreams to come true. gathering with entire families to celebrate.

today these cities look as if nothing ever existed here, only solid ruins and ghosts of a past life. russia destroyed everything. dismantled the memory of entire generations brick by brick with daily shelling. took away a happy future from many families.

Estimates suggest that at least 15,000 people have lost their limbs, with numbers continuing to grow. More than ten million people in Ukraine live in areas in need of mine action assistance. If each of us donates $5 monthly, Ukraine would be much safer.

Did you know that you can donate to help Ukrainian Bat Rehabilitation Center? Not only that, you can also "adopt" a bat! "Adopt" as in the bat you choose stays in the center, but you help it via donations and get regular updates on your bat. How cool is that!

Today a russian rocket got fired in a the place that was like 2 miles from us :>

Granted it was early morning so no one was hurt. My gf even woke up from an explosion. A casual reminder that the war in Ukraine has never ended. Ukraine is big - roughly the size of Texas, and I live on the opposite end of the active zone.

This was 1 rocket in a long while. But far over there - at the east - there are 3000 explosions like that a month, which is roughly a 100 per day.

We already have several towns and cities DESTROYED. Totally vanished.

Like, say, you are from Rochester NY. Imagine you growing up here, and you moved to California for college. Just imagine coming back one day not having Rochester anymore.

And this is all you see.

We are LUCKY to be safe now. That is not the case for many many ukrainians.
