FINALLY back on track, after a month and a half of stuff getting in our way, but here we are with session 20!!!

Seon Adventures Episode 20: Going Solo...

With the passing of the night, comes the light of day.

The trio of Belli, Luctan and Mournimar awake alongside Morgan and the elf baby with notably Amelia, Archie, Burk and Rimefang missing. Luctan does elaborate where Amelia had gone, though it gets missed in the confusion when everyone wonders what happened with Burk.

Thinking quickly on her feet, Belli sends a message to Burk to check where he is. But all he answers with is that Rimefang’s fine, don’t know where Amelia is.”

As Luctan fixes the baby up for the day, packing him like a little baby burrito (a babitto, if you will), the remaining bunch go upstairs, while Belli gives a call to Amelia. Amelia, who had been having the most wonderful of sleeps she has had since a long while.

“No.”

Belli sends her a message again with a whistle.

“No. Just no.”

Luctan has to repeat himself on where Amelia actually is, much to the amusement of the adopted duo.

As they climb up the stairs, everything seems normal and as expected from the previous night, people coming and going, welcomed and- And the party for some reason get approached by a very confused human, wearing the robes of the temple of Keemis.

Brunette, with an undercut, in his 30′s, scars on his arms and face, the kind man delivers a letter to the bunch, asking if they’re the Cultbusters.

“Are you the Cultbusters?”

“Depends on who’s asking?”- Belli.

“3 of them!”- Mournimar.

After a brief sibling argument about just up and telling people their identities, the man elaborates that the letter is written by Burk. Or. Well, he helped Burk write that letter for the party.

Mournimar is the one to read it to everyone else. All lower case, a lot of the words are misspelled.

“ hi. this is from burk. i am leaving now. ive been thinking and i think i do not need to be here anymore. i found one of the guys i was looking for and it was really easy and no ofense but i was hoping for cold hard killers and u r not. but you were all realy nice to me, nicer than any one has before so i am going to miss all of u very much. rimefang is coming with me because hes too cool for u. also i think hes geting bigger cause he started sheding or some thing i dont know. i left some scales for u, and ur share of the gold. there is a lot of stuff i wana go do and i feel bad draging u guys with me so i gotta go do it my self. but i want u all to know im not just going to kill people for me. i am doing stuff for u. For amelia and luc i am going to come back and we are gona have the best fight ever and learn a lot. For beli i am going to steal the biggest shinyest kazoo i can find. For morni i will stop punching wolfs and also be nicer to weird animals i find in the forest. u were all very nice and good with peeple and not good at vilence, and thats a good thing. but i dont fit in. bye for a while

The trio are devastated. Belli is the most vocal, with Mournimar having to calm her down, while Luctan stands stoically, with the baby in his arm.

Burk left.

It’s heart breaking.

It’s heart breaking and the cleric tries to cast Calm Emotions on the lot of them to try and soothe their woes. Mournimar fails his save, Luctan doesn’t even try and Belli tanks that and starts shouting at him for imposing his magic on them, without their consent.

“Don’t you fucking dare try and tell me what to fucking feel.” - She is emotion personified.

When things calm down, Luctan apologizes and asks for the messenger’s name.

“ My name is Malak. I am a Devotee of Keemis. I’ve been living here in this temple for a few years.” He had heard of the Cultbusters’ reputation and found interest and want to join them on their questing, seeing as they’ve stirred some cults out of their comfort.

Thrown them out of their rhythm, if you will.

He is accepted, Belli referring to him as their “intern” for now and, with introductions made, and Malak gathering his equipment, the bunch of them take to the last tavern they had gone to for breakfast and meeting back up with Amelia.

Amelia waits for them there. Nel had spoken to her about how she managed to get her mother to agree on leaving town for a while with the help of a family friend. And she had made some sort of offer to Amelia.

The group are again together at the tavern and introduce Malak. Amelia and Malak shake hands as a distraught Belli pays the tavern keeper to go and work the kitchen for a while.

Amelia encourages her. “The fact he wrote us a letter means he cared about The Cultbusters.” She gently holds Belli’s arm, ‘cause Belli’s abandonment issues have kicked in hard.

There’s stress baking and then there’s stress cooking. And Belli does this handily. And she makes... so much food! 1st, second, third Breakfasts, if those were actual things, of course.

“It’ll be alright. He had to do what he had to do.”

As Belli comes and goes with increasingly more and more plates of food, we end up talking about the baby and his future. The little elven boy keeps tugging at Luctan’s hair, fussing at him and getting fussed at.

A few suggestions get made. From Malak’s suggestion to raise the child in the orphanage, to the talk with Nel the other day, involving handing him over to a rich family.

The decision is hard to make. Whether he likes it or not, Luctan’s attached himself to the little one, but he knows he can’t keep him with the party as dangers keep increasing on their journey. He had been having waking flashes back to every incident since the child was with them and how scared he was from the screams and roars and hurts and aches.

He couldn’t let the baby travel with them further. He knew what he was going to do, regardless of where the baby went, but still.

Amelia catches up with Malak on his Keemis Clergy work.

He’s been at this for 5-6 years or so. He heard about the party after the CB helped arrest the local cultists. He’s fascinated by souls and how they transition, based on their alignment. He’s searching for an answer to this question. Basically, he’s looking for research.

Amelia asks where he’s from.

“I’m from Lian. It is not a good place to raise a kid and I left home, got a lot of people from my home town killed. We wanted to leave, thought we’d make our own band of soldiers to fight in the war and I’m the only one left. And so I try to find some meaning in the senseless death and resurrection and ended up meeting some Keemis priests. Fell in with them and came up here.”

The gang try to cheer him up about his backstory woes and some end up sharing their own troubles. Mournimar does so. Luctan gives away the shocker that his family owned slaves and that triggered his sense of aiding those in need, freeing the captive ones and fleeing via teleport scroll. And lastly Belli tells the tragic story of her family.

Doting on the baby commences, while Mournimar gives Malak some pointers on the shenanigans he is up for with Belli, now that he is part of the group.

Following their hefty meal, Mournimar gets his new armor. Better fitted than his previous one. Since he found it in the barracks??? This one is more custom. Studded Leather, which raises his AC + 1

Going back on forth on where to go next, during this tragic shopping episode, Belli shares Burk’s treasures with the cleric, seeing as he had left them for the rest.

Before anything can be really bought, though, aside of the meals, we go for the payment on the Serial Kilelr job.

As the party draw closer to the dungeons, Mournimar suggests Belli let Luctan talk, which offends Belli, who gets encouragement from Luck and Malak that she’ll do great. Malak ingretiating himself by casting Guidance and Enhance Ability on the Half-Orc Bard, right before she approaches the receptionists, an older Half-Elf man and a yellow tiefling.

“Now is the time to prove them wrong.”

The conversation is quick and Belli shines during this process. We are thanked, the lot of us, for the work we did and are pointed to the office of the Captain in charge.

While walking, we get a few pointers on places to visit around town.

Generally South-West of the city is a good night’s time.” the HElf answers Amelia. Though, uh, he wouldn’t know personally. Definitely.

We walk down to the office, knock on the door before walking in.

We are welcomed in by the Halfling woman inside. She’s dressed well for her job. Not exactly the outfit one would expect for prison duty, but then again, they didn’t have a good idea on that, themselves. Blue eyes observe us warmly and kindly, through a wavy bob haircut, while she fiddles with the cuff of one of her sleeves. Her office is bare, maybe she’s new, maybe it’s how she likes it.

She kind of looks everyone up and down. “I’m guessing you’re the folks we’ve been expecting, huh?”

The party apologize as they didn’t have a proper schedule in mind and the thought is shared vice-versa as it just... Really was like that sometimes? Often times?! A lot. It happened a lot.

For finding the hide out of the slayer of cityfolk, for convincing his husband to give himself up and testify about his beloved, the ‘busters gain a monetary reward. As she pulls out a big chest on the table, Belli tries to convince her to unionise. To some possible success? She certainly seems curious about the suggestion itself.

Ames kinda looks her up and down and gives a smol little thumbs up

She’s a valuable worker, she’s worth more.

On behalf of the city of Crystalgate, thank you for all of your efforst in intervening with the issue. The culprits have been dealt with.” Much to the four original members’ surprise, the husband has been released, having promissedto turn over a new leaf.

Luctan would later ask the captain, who introduced herself to the five as River Blackbrace (Just River), where he could find the husband and, after ensuring her that he planned no ill will towards the man, she guesses he’d be back in town or at one of the temples.

The woman feels like rewarding us with more, since this isn’t her gold, yeah? Lots of paperwork time prevented. The five are given suggestions on places to go and spend our money. Between " Neladrie's Rarities” and “Snipper’s Hall’, the clothing store of Grinella, they have some good options on their way.

Grinella is the best at her work, as far as River’s concerned.

Before they go, we mention to River that we plan on participating in the Spring Festival’s tournament.

River mentions that it was originally created as a celebration of the heroes Septum Sabata. It’s a series of trials re-creating what they went through to save everyone. Malak has watched it a few times and things happening around the arena a few good times. He’s the local CG expert.

And if they really feel down, there’s also a place... a-a-

Café where they summon fae animals.

And should they need a good book, there’s a library in the north east. “The Lady Stormweaver National Library.” The conversation about books prompts Luctan to show off the “Handerstaad” he got from Sa Doma.

And River spills the tea that Kheyha is a local. And has spent some time in the dungeons for her alcoholism antics. (Never meet your heroes, kids.)

They are suggested to stay away from the Ebryosis followers. Best leave those kinky fellas to their own “dungeons”.

As they walk walk to the clothes and magical trinkets shops, Mournimar has a heart to heart with Belli, apologizing for his behavior. While Luctan checks the money with Malak. The sibs hug it out, while the money is counted and distributed amongst all of them, even as Malak protests some.

There’s a faint tingle of wind chimes as the five go to one of the most eclectic collections of goods of various kinds we’ve ever seen. Sort of an order to it, anyways. A rainbow pattern across the show. Vaguely arranged in no particular order. Pretty much everything’s in a different size and shape.

A high elven woman, Neladrie, sits in a tall stool behind a desk, very long hair. She glances vaguely at us and has a monocular on.

Good morning. Feel free to look around. Please be aware you’re being watched, so don’t get any funny ideas. And Welcome.” She points at her watchful little pseudodragon, watching from the rafters.

Belli uses mage hand to pat the dragon.

She knows she’s a good gorl.

The search commences as each member of the party search foritems with some help of the shopkeeper.

Malak gains supplies for his Divination magic, including dragon bones.

Mournimar tries and fails to find anything that could enhance his wisdom.

Amelia gets her hands on some lovely sea shells.

Luctan gets helped with finding a focus for his recently developed magical abilities. A small purple crystal.

All the while Belli takes her pick, between some wild musical instruments.

There is an holy banjo with all the gods’ symbols.

There’s a great axe with a wider handle. A didgerydeath, if you will.

And also, what appears to be a kazoo 2. One sort of kazoo entrance and branches out into different sights. It’s like if a kazoo had different pitches.

There’s also a set of bagpipes.

And last, but not least, an ukulele of sorts. Upon testing it, the ukulute sounds like a spannish guitar, almost.

Ostentatious is her brand and after testing all the instruments, she agrees to buy the ukulute.

With purchases made, the gang take the next step of their journey, going to the “Snipper’s Hall”, where they meet the one and only Grindelia Snipper. A Goblin Woman, standing atop a 7ft tall step ladder, measuring a tall model with her arm tattoo.

“OH! Welcome!”

"Snipper’s Hall” is a long building, like a miniature Viking lounge house, with elements of stone to keep it stable. There is a wide variety of different sort of premade outfits, models of different heights going from 4.5 to 8ft tall... And. There’s a jewelry section.

After a greeting, the party make their requests and orders in a friendly sort of manner. Mournimar buys a jacket and a stag brooch, Belli gets herself a new, lovely outfit, a dress of blue and pink, as well as a canine bracelet. Malak’s fine as he is and Amelia is left uncertain with what to purchase.

Upon Luctan’s request... A custom outfit which’ll take a few days to put together, the poor secret Tieflingman gets handled with amazing strength and tenacity by the spunky and overly friendly goblin woman, who measures him nice and well with her arm and finger, taking his numbers with keen eyes, even with his armor still on.

He can’t be sure why, but the very suggestion she’s sent people to get treatment over the roughhousing sends a chill down his spine. The elf baby just has a blast during the entire developement.

Business transaction made, the next stop is “Peppery Pete’s Pile of Potions.”

Belli is still angry with the old gnome, over his potions involving Orcish strength, given the negative stereotype about Orcish intelligence lowering the user’s titular stat.

A stern talking to is to be had, before any dealings get made there.

Along the way to the shop, Luctan asks Malak if he knows anything about the tournament, beyond what the party had heard and he shares his knowledge with the gang:

“The Tournament is divided into three trials The Trial of the Elemental Lords, the Trial of the Beast and the Trial of the Betrayed.

The Trial of the Elemental Lords involves the blending of the elements being worked into a challenge that teams must overcome together.

The Trial of the Beast involves fighting a mighty beast that establishes victors as a cut above the rest.

The Trial of the Betrayed is the grand finale, the remaining 2 groups battle it out. But there are clerics on standby. You cannot aim to kill, just to knock unconscious. Any deliberate murder would be acted upon as such in a court of lawAfter the tournament, a party is held for all groups within the Echosmith Hall and the champions are presented with their rewards.”

Luctan’s mind wanders. Things to be re-worked in his goals.

The lot of them soon reach the shop and, upon summoning Pete inside, welcomes are had. Arguing commences between the Half-Orc and the Gnome as Pete ultimately admits that he stopped producing the particualr offending potion, much to the losses in his product.

Ideas are being thrown around on potions Pete could work on in turn, before any business could be had, involving the party’s wants and needs.

Aside from getting a Greater Health Potion and a new Potion of Wizard’s Folly (after giving his first one to Danton back in Sa Doma), the party have... particular requests.

Belli takes note of the “ Basilisk Tears “ potion. For 200 gold, she most definitely buys that and makes plans. Fast plans on the use.

On Luctan’s end, with the deal being made for Peter sponsoring the adventurers for the tournament to come, Luctan gives in to the support of the full party, now that they are all in the shop, as opposed to only half there. With the price for his sword’s modification being brought down to 1,000 gold and the helping hand of Mournimar, Amelia and Malak, who didn’t even want the share of money given to him, Luctan accets.

And hands his greatsword over to the gnome for the specific enchantments he requested.

Belli has that moment of realization, you know? The one, where you just know that you have to move, while the moving is available and contacts Ficus about the Potion of Basilisk Tears, a concoction that might JUST bring her family back to their old selves!

With the party’s blessings, she runs off towards the Crusty Challice, where Ficus will wait for her.

But she doesn’t go alone as Mournimar tails her, just to make sure she doesn’t get messed with, before getting to her older brother. All the while the rest of the group are welcomed to the back of the shop by Pete for training.

As the work out commences, Mournimar follows. And as he follows, he keeps an eye out for anyone shady that might be watching Belli on her way out of the walls of the city.

He doesn’t see anyone. But gets the feeling that he is watched. He investigates that feeling. He notices that someone in the crowd is watching him. Seems to be, looks like a bald older man, stocky built, little bit tall and for a second the tiefling swears there's the faint glimmer of horns in his shadow, but then they disappear. As does he as Mournimar tries to find him in the crowd. To no avail.

Regardless, he continues on the path to the tavern.

There’s a bit of a smog in the tavern as people’ve lit cigarettes and pipes. Belli and Ficus have a good long talk as she shows him the potion of Basilisk tears. They are shaken, misty eyed and anxious to see if it works. This horror that befell their family... It could end in the next couple of days!

By the time she hugs Ficus, Mournimar has entered the tavern and commenced watching over the shadyness that may be observed from the patrons.

Which is to say, he’s basically looking through a sea of shade.

He does notice, though, one of the bartenders has a sort of, finely shaped jaw and stood up black hair, a bit of stubble and seems to be watching Mournimar a bit more intently than normal.

Mournimar tries to stealth closer to the guy, even though he’s aware. He tries to figure out who the guy is, but he has no idea.

Eye contact is made between the two as the guy slides a glass with Brandy over to Mournimar and just continues with his work behind the bar.

Mourni has a leetl sip to make sure everything’s Gucci. Tastes like some of the brandy from around Bavorum. Nostalgic.

Through some small talk, Mournimar learns that the man’s name is “Joe”. Just a working Joe, you know?

It’s less of a talk and more of an interrogation as they don’t break eye contact.

“The brandy’s on the house, Mournimar.” the man answers with the name that the tiefling hadn’t given him. Like. At all.

No answer given on how he knows that.

He backs out the back door with a wink and Mournimar follows after her.

There’s no way the Half-Orcs don’t see this by now and they dash and jump on after the digitigrade ranger, who finds himself and Morgan out in the back alley, with no sign of the mystery man, named Joe.

He tries everything he can, from following tracks, to Hunter’s Mark, to Morgan’s snoofer, but nothing works. The man is just... gone.

With the Narahs catching up to him, he explains what happened and has to be talked down from pointlessly searching for a man, or whoever, who is just “GONE”.

It is then that Belli must explain to him that she has to leave Crystalgate with Ficus. To try the potion on her family. It’s hard on Mournimar, but the frazzled tiefling understands.

Belli hands him Orion and states that, if anything is to happen, she’ll call the others. They then agree to meet up with the others for a proper goodbye.

The others, by the way, doing pretty well for themselves in this new enviroment.

A deal has been made that every time Amelia does good in the training, Archie gets a treat.

Given that the chunky kitty is on his back, getting pats on his big belly from the baby, she’s killed this training.

The entire development has left the running quartet staggering back to the rest of the party. Mournimar doesn’t spot anything off on the way back.

As everyone reconvenes, Mournimar gives them an update on the respective situations, giving in detail a description of this “Joe” character. He worries it could be related to Lazarus, his ex. Or Kahlia. Or Potencia herself. He gets calmed by Luctan’s wording on the subject.

“We’re a bunch of famous and attractive people. Let’s face it. we have fans.”

As the party splits up, with Belli making her goodbyes with the rest of the gang, Luctan Blesses her and Ficus, which catches Malak’s attention. Thinking about the type of magic being used, he can tell that, though holy, it is not one of the Five that has given Luctan his abilities.

With Belli and Ficus taking Kevin and Killer, the rest of the party opt to go to the circus on the outskirts of town.

“The Voluptani Mystique “, a big tent circus in the north-west part of town’s outskirts. It’s fabulous on the outside.

They pay and notice at the entrance, a red skinned tiefling woman with a long, ball gown dress, leaning against the booth she stood inside and she waves a hand over and leaves a small mark with Prestidigitation.

Lead inside, it’s basically how you imagine a circus. An arena with seats around the circle. The four and their animal companions take a seat at the front as the Dancing Lights Cantrip flies around the tent, lighting and highlighting everything and everyone gathered, people of many walks of life. Just here for a little show to end the evening.

A cloud of smoke emits from the middle and the huge entrance of the tent swings shut.

Inside the cloud the lights start hovering, we can see the lights start changing color and go in different directions, erratic and suddenly there are hops from around the room where everyone’s sitting. And back in the middle, when they look, they see a high elf woman with pitch black hair falling long and wavy towards the bottom.

She stands with one hand in the air and one hand spread outwards towards the side. She pauses, looks around the audience and she whistles three high pitched notes. She snaps with her pointing up hand and the lights skatter, going right towards the audience. The cloud disappears and in the time it was there, the original woman is gone and there are two halflings, a man and a woman and they start doing all sorts of contortions. They entwine and roll in a ball. Throughout the whole show there is this almost hypnotic flute music. Pyrotechnic displays and after each one, there is a set of three elven dancer,s almost dangerously close as they maneuver around. Really fucking weird. A whole lot of illusion magic is happening here.

At one point the elven dancers starts flying around and Mallak, being a local, has seen this before.

After 3 hours of this weird bewhildering performance the entire room lights up and it’s completely clear and the original high elf woman, who’s actually an eladrin, is still in that same pose as when things started.

And she says “Thank you all once again, as always, please leave your tips with faith on the way out and thank you. She snaps with fingers and purple energy surrounds her as she leaves.

Bewhildered and amazed, Mournimar kinda wants to give this a go. Run away and joy the circus? Follow your dream, bud!

Having been in Crystalgate for a few years now, Malak had abided in a few viewings of the spectacle and, though it’s often with some modifications, it’s generlaly been the same good experience over time. He’s happy.

Amelia shares with the gang about the possibility of hanging out at Nel’s for a few days. As though there was any question on whether they would say “no” to such an offer.

As the night covers the sky above Crystalgate, the party find themselves again at the rich sector of town, being watched by a guard. Nel arrives at the gate, red faced after messaging Amelia. She forgot to give her a badge and was now paying the price with the run she had to make.

Sadly, though a talented bard, Nel has the muscle content of a slug.

The party soon make it back to Shadowspire Manner, lead by Nel, after introducing Mal to the Half-Elven woman and sharing of Burk’s departure.

They are shown around. the rooms, the kitchen, everything they’d need, before she takes Amelia’s hand and leads her to her room. Nel’s room. She is the body guard and she must guard that body.

Mournimar and Malak opt to crash in Luctan’s room for the evening, deciding not to split the party any further than this.

Luctan watches out of a window for about an hour, while humming to the baby, before going to bed.

As Mournimar and Malak sleep, Mournimar has some kind of dream...

But Luctan doesn’t sleep.

No.

Instead, once he’s sure the others have fallen in rem sleep, he sneaks outside and goes for a short walk around the neighbourhood, doing whatever it is that he does at this time.

After coming back in, 5-10-20-to-30 minutes later, he feels the hairs on the back of his neck stand up and notices a shadow close to Mournimar, with no one casting it.

Then it disappears.

After investigating out the window, Luctan goes to bed and meditates... on something else.....

Day 2 comes to an end.

look my problem with the au megamind where Roxanne is the alien and megamind is the reporter is i cant stop thinking about what i want out of that and how its probably not what other people want out of that which should mean 'oh shit i gotta write it' but really means 'in the next couple of months im going to rewatch megamind and be extremely frustrated because idk how to write these people as is let alone in an au'

but here are some thoughts

Itd have to take place on megaminds home world so like. have to develop that culture and frame it as the usual and other things as oddities

metroman still shows up at the same time the baby human does

roxan richie and metromans rivalry is less of a game and more of a metroman one up'd her ome to many times so now shes gotta take him out

its fine not because shes incompetent- in fact her death rays and pointy sticks are ingenious and have 0% public property or civilian causalities - but because metroman is not only impossible to kill, he adapts to anything that gets close (anything that doesnt kill him makes him stronger literally)

i guess this means theres a good chunk of the story that is centered around human adaptability vs perfect hero dudes adaptability

Roxanne Ritchie is actually a noted scientist or something at the local research facility - i figure blue people planet is really advanced and everyones at least a little technosmart but while it doesnt come as easily or naturally to Roxanne her way of thinking is really unique n shiz and shes an asset to every team....

but if you see her in a mask with some project from the lab macguivered into a gun trying to kill metroman well, no ones getting hurt and humans need hobbies and everyone respects the mask desptie the fact shes the ONLY human on the planet so its not like its hard to figure out who she is

she does spend a lot of nights having to rebuild projects and apologizing and such but basically everyone plays the plausible deniability card and asks her questions abiut what went wrong and okay so the masked menace failed after you let them steal our project but lets pretend for a moment the goal was to fix crops how would you say this did? and grumply shed revamp the guns weird side effect into an alien pollinating crop duster or whatever

got carried away when REALLY all I WANTED to say was

Whille Roxanne Ritchie is adaptable ingenuity and gets away at the last minute NOT because no ones trying to catch her but shes just that CLEVER and thinks ahead and shiz....

Megamind is the guy trying to interview her in the middle of a fight like he thinks he's cute - i mean he is but shes chasing after metroman and skids to a stop because this jerk stepped in for a comment. or shes lining up the perfect shot but theres a close up of megaminds reporter bag in the way

the thing is that maybe... blue people arent violent. a natural disaster hit recently and theyre coming back from it and if the two adopted alien kids want to play extreme tag well no ones getting hurt and Roxanne Ritchie will grow out of her competitiveness no doubt caused by just how superior EVERYONE on the planet is by finding her own niche and metroman will grow up and stop bating her because maybe he IS still better than everyone else and thats met with "oh very nice we're proud" but it doesnt really validate him or make him feel special because its just treated as a special thing he can do by everyong but Roxanne Ritchie and once he's found something that makes him feel good regardless of the attention or lack of it he'll stop playing too

but megamind? megamind has an imagination that loves drama and blowing things out of proportion and thats part of why his reports are so popular? like yeah everyones treating this super hero showdown with indulgence but megamind is good at framing theatrics so that this news story is actually a compelling narrative? and also everyone can see the tension is going to have one of these three "kids" confessing live someday

and maybe he gets carried away. one of those 'aw well next time you could do x or y' or has some technological creation that accidentally actually makes Metroman flinch during an interview

and Roxanne Ritchie starts paying attentionto him for the first time.

and minion warns him but he doesnt listen. minion is lower class and is afraid of being replaced like a pet like some people do but Roxanne Ritchie Ritchie doesnt have a minion and even if she did theyre Best Friends not like those other blue people minion uperclass people.

and he carelessly says something unforgivable and Roxanne Richie uses his ideas and actually succeeds in killing metroman

so she goes to prison - a place they had to build just for her because this hasnt happened since stars knows when

and somebody else is doing the camera because minion left just is gone and megamind looks defeated but testifies against her and is quiet and subdued and stpps being a reporter for a bit

and.... idk. i feel like we'll have to resolve the whole class system so minon goes underground and finds other minons who are unhappy with the way of things and if theyre ALREADY rebuilding society after that huge natural disaster that DIDNT blow up their planet thanks TO a minion well ehy cant they fix this too?

so theres a rebellion going on and theyve got a secret weapon to make blue people listen and idk but i feel like it's Metroman

and... how do stories like this go ive forgotten

minion wouldnt tell megamind or he would

metroman would break Roxanne Ritchie out of prison during the first riot of the minion revolt?

they talk and compare why they hated eachother and slowly work together and are actually a great team?

and then they need a reporter to make themselves heard as something other than minions going crazy

and so of course they go to megamind for help getting the story out

something something megamind is minions sidekick for this adventure

"Roxanne Ritchie was raised by the planet and turned against it and instigated civil unrest and killed a person who was also the good child etc etc instead of just growing up to face your problems"

"actually im alive and i finally found my place? helping out the real heros?"

"i mean i did try to kill him, but he forgave me and we're kinda working together because planet of moms and dads that raised us? yall actually are the ones who need to grow up and let go of the traditions that dont serve etc etc"

and megamind does a huge public apology to minion

and... uhhhhhhhhh fuck i really dont know how these storyies go

the blue people start making amends

metroman basically becomes a social worker for minion childern because finding their original families is a bit hard and most of these kids are just going to end up being raised by super dad but at least the rebellion minion families are actually geting to be their own family units and in a couple gens thatll be normal

Roxanne Ritchie goes back to being the token human in the lab and hangs up her super suit and is generally dissatisfied with this

until one night a hero breaks into her apartment to make her answer for her crimes and so for a legit hot second theyre fighting and megamind says something and Roxanne apologizes and then fighting stops being an argument and goes into banter flirting

the worss "where theres evil good will rise up to fight it" peob comes up a lot in this fic in different iterations

anyways megamind isnjust basically like hey wanna do this like. for the rest of our lives dramatic battle showdowns like its entertainment but like no theyre doing this for real?

the answer is hell yeah

and its a polyship and sometimes Roxanne is helping with the kids and then Megamind bursts in to "save" the family from her evil clutches and 90% of the time everything is improve

megamind kidnaps Roxanne to make metromind save her and a good half of the conversation is that hes an idiot for coming shes tried to kill him three times this week and hes bitching because do you know how hard it is to find a sitter for 30 odd minion kids this short notice and they better make it up to him

Roxanne is not superdad but the 30 odd minion kids adore when she comes over because they mob the villain so hard until finally mega comes to save her because hes actually very good with the kids

of course this poly ship isnt complete without minion and at some point minion and mega realize theyve actually been married for years and Roxanne and metro tease them shamelessly for it

minion and his race need a real name obviously

when Roxanne was a... graduate her senior project theses thingy was essentially "im going to go back to planet earth itll be great ive figured out were im from and how to go there in a reasonable amout of time" and everyone had to sit her down and explain that unlike metroman they knew where she was from the planet was just destroyed.

they never figured out where metroman was from because his direction sharply changed to follow baby Roxannes course and mirrored her coding despite very obviously how he had originated from elsewhere

this is important because his race is basically coming to conquer the blue people planet soon - the group finds out - and will download all the survival upgrades metroman has gotten to become unkillable and then just come down to the surface and be unstoppable taking the place over and whiping out the planet like theyve done many many times

a good chunk of the time trying to figure out how to stop them when this planet is REALLY against murder war and violence for good reason and even if they WOULD do that its impossible over looks some alone time that leads to megamind and metroman figuring out how to like kill him so when the bad guys show up theyll go "whelp better not fuck with them" and leave but between roxanne and minion they manage to not only stabilize metroman (Roxanne blood transfusions maybe???) but they manage to scare the aliens so bad they tuck tail and leave speading rumors that these are the scariest mfs in space (go minion)

metroman never lets Roxanne live down saving his life

eventually space humans show up to check the place out

megamind loves everything human despite most of the planet thinking theyre primitive and showing it

roxanne is reluctant to meet them at first but then really relates to them?

for a good long while it REALLY seems like megamind and Roxanne are just going to go on space adventures with the humans leaving metroman and minion - who really doesnt like them and also they kinda rub him the wrong way because he's non bipedal and they kinda make fun of him in a 'we totally dont mean anything by it lighten up' sort of way.

they don't go of course but they may have stolen a lot of atar charts n shit and who hasnt wanted to take a road trip through space with 30 odd childern who will need names and personalities and may be chopped down to a slightly more reasonable number by this point?

metroman loves space karaoke and his natural abilites mean he learns languages fast but no he still cant carry a tune

megamind and Roxanne still duke it out on various alien cityscapes

minion usually breaks them out of jail if theyre not to be let out the next day because nothing was actually damaged that didnt belong to them.

one memorable occasion it was metoman in a fight with megamind and they wont say what its about but both look very put out and minion looks smug

it doesn't matter in the end because Roxanne teams up with the childern to propose to them first

apparantly i had a lot more ideas about this then i meant to? i mean its not well thoughout out and despite the drama a good half the fic is just going to be cute relationship building stuff between the four of them

Part 3: Actual part 2

Waking up early wasn't something Damien expected to do, having continually slept-in every day since arriving. (Excluding when Wes woke him up on the first day.)

So let's just say he was a mess when he forced himself to wake up at the insane time of ten in the morning, just to test the fresh-meat. He wasn't planning on actually interacting with Boze, the new girl, but like the saying goes, Curiosity killed the cat. Damien knew this wasn't the full saying but as he rubs his eyes he can't be bothered to put a sensable reason behind his action yesterday.

"Really fucked up..." He mutters as he brushes his teeth and looks at himself in the mirror. The person reflected doesn't look like what Damien would have expected to see a year or so ago. His eyes are dull and there's subtle bags under his eyes which perfectly compliment his messed up hair.

"Guess I really can't live without you Shayne, I'm starting to look like a rotting corpse myself..." Damien jokes as he remembers his best friend and tries to make a joke as if Shayne would high-five him for it. In all seriousness I miss you Shayne...

Damien puts on headphones and struts with his head and hood down towards the clubhouse, his usual hang out. He ignores Wes's wave, Joven's greeting and death-glares everyone who steps into his five-foot personal bubble of space.

He doesn't feel good, like always and simply is trying to keep himself awake and motivated enough to survive the day but the joke and memories of Shayne have opened a small crack in the wall Damien put up around his memories of Shayne and not they're effecting him. So Damien finds himself actually smiling and enjoying himself as he walks, listening to one of the many songs he and Shayne loved and listened to together.

Remembering the many times Shayne suprised him by invading his house, much to the delight of his mum and stress of younger Damien, he can't help but smile. Little did young Damien know that that was Shayne's way of trying to break through his shell, showing he cared and was always there. Only now does Damien realise that fact, a little to late.

Damien still smiles despite that thought as the memory of him and Shayne lying with one earbud in on the floor of his room comes to him. He also lightly huffs as he remembers that young Damien was such a dork that he would stick Continents, stars, famous people and poems on his room's ceiling just so Shayne and he would have something to talk about and laugh at.

Every once in a while they'd turn off the music and do impressions of the famous people, Shayne most of the time beating Damien. I'm suprised he still wanted to do that after the twelfth time he beat me, though I guess if he didn't I wouldn't be as good at imitating voices as I am today. Just another thing to thank you for Shayne.

Damien knows his stupid reminiscing is useless, it can't bring back Shayne and all it does is make him depressed, but sometimes it's better to live in the past where it's perfect, than living in the present where everything sucks. Damien thinks this is true. He honestly thinks it's true...Until he stays in the past too long and struts into the clubhouse door, having completely forgot he was walking.

Hoping with all his heart that no one saw that Damien slowly opens the clubhouse's door and slips inside, the light off and the smell familiar. Although Damien likes the dark he can't help but sigh as he sees the clubhouse, this seems like a place he and Shayne would love to explore together, it always does.

He pulls out the technological device most call a phone and starts texting people, mostly Wes and him mum. They're both the only people crazy enough to stick by him so Damien guesses it's their fault that they sometimes get random texts from him. Honestly his texting habits are sporadic.

He reminds his mum that he's still doing okay and reassures her that nothing is happening while also texting Wes about what he's missing out on in school. Wes has managed to keep him mostly up to date on everything so far with only a few slips bit that's to be expected, he's only human after all.

Damiens mum responds with love and support while Wes responds with childish teasing and joking, with the occasional hint of edge, so Damien thinks he has a good balance of everything he needs in his life.

Just as he goes to pull up a page he's been looking at on Necromancy a tapping at the window and multiples shouts and thuds draw his attention and forces him to put down his phone, knowing he won't need it. It's not exactly like the school would let paramedics in anyway.

What Damien sees is confusing at first, a weird sort of inhuman mass moving all it's multiple limbs at once. Damien then realises that's not the case upon closer inspection as the scene actually is a dark haired girl Damien knows as Grace, saddeling what looks to be Boze, the 'new girl', while about three other people do a variety of things such as kick Boze mostly in the face, grab Boze's hair, and shout at her. All in all it's quite a sight, especially for Damien who stays away from people so never gets to see this type of thing.

Looking at the four bullies he has to admire their teamwork, they're like a well oiled machine with how they go about things. Nodding his head and observing further Damien happens to glance at Boze's eyes who are staring at him and silently pleading him to do anything, to help her. Unfortunately, as it stands, Damien is not in the buissness of saving people at the moment, maybe if she did this later in the day.

So Damien shrugs and turns away, waving Boze goodbye.

Boze sees Damien shrug and walk away from the window, waving a cheeky goodbye as he dissapears from view and her breath catches in her throat, chest sinking and she feels herself loosing hope. She forgot how heartless teenagers could be.

"Looks like your new friend abandoned you, you really pick the wrong friends!" Grace teases as Boze feels her stomach get kicked and she takes a sharp breath in. They grabbed and attacked her suddenly as she was about to open the door to the clubhouse after seeing Damien enter.

"Yeah, literally everyone knows Logan's a wimp and Damien...well he's a slacker. A lazy bum with no morals and a disregard for rules." Another voice states, this one male but Boze can't pinpoint where it's coming from. Boze really wishes anyone would come and help, all she needs is a small opening and she can recover but as it it she has no chances to catch her breath before more beatings are thrown her way.

"Which, if you think about it, is actually pretty hot." States another male voice as the abuse stops and Boze feels the weight of Grace, that had been holding her down, dissappear. This gives her her chance to recover and take deep breaths in to deal with the pain.

Boze doesn't lift herself from the ground though and scrunches closed her eyes, too afraid of what she could meet. Despite this, her best efforts to not stand up, she finds herself rising in an upwards direction.

She doesn't rise thanks to her own legs though, she rises thanks to a strong arm lifting her up and bringing her to eye level. At this level she can open her eyes a sliver, seeing Grace and her three friends all shaking and standing still as statues, looking at the person who is holding her up with one arm who she dare not look at.

"You know it's not very nice to beat up a new person, also very unfair that you chose to go four against one. Mind if I join the new girls team? You know, even the odds?" The new person asks calmly as Boze opens her eyes completely and sees the silver haired boy she noted down yesterday. Drat! I still need to send in my report!

Grace and her gang don't move and the silver boys smiles, childish innocence present in everytging he's doing, as Boze tries to remember his name, she knows it began with a W...

"Or...It's a less fun option, but I could just not join in and the whole game you're playing could end?" The boy proposed and the group immediately nods before sprinting off, away from him. This is suspicious, especially for a group that a second ago seemed so comitted to geting revenge on her for making their leaders nose bleed, Boze thinks as she worries about this boy.

Boze sees the boy now turn his attention to her, smiling kindly as he slowly lowers her to the ground and makes sure she's not to hurt. Her right leg does sting and everything is in a mild state of pain but she can deal with it, it's nothing compared to some abuse she's had to take before.

"Hi. I'm Wesley. Are you okay?" He introduces and Boze remembers Logan called him Wes. She also remembers Logan reffering to him as a 'last resort' which is interesting because only now does she realise Damien said the same thing about him and looking at him now he doesn't seem all that imtimidating.

Nodding her head, despite its protests, and smiling, Boze gives a thumbs to Wes who seems unconvinced. Boze needs this boy to see her as a friend or someone who he wants and can get personally connected to and to do that she needs to be friendly for now.

"Are you sure? I can take you to the nurse?" Wes proposes as he looks at her whole body, which isn't hard as he's very much taller than her. Wes notes the dripping blood from her head, right leg and hand. He hates himself for not coming sooner, he feels like if he had just not decided to try and stuff that giant cookie in his mouth all at once this morning he could have been here sooner.

"Nah, I'm alright. I've been in worse shape than this, trust me." Boze explains simply, shrugging at Wes's conserns. He can understand trying to be strong but surely this level of injury deserves at least a tiny bit of consern.

"Still...Ummm...Where are you even going? School's that way." Wes explains, pointing back towards the school as he smiles, Boze would think he'd be less smiley as the badass kid in school.

"I'm not heading to school, at least not this morning. I'm going to go into the clubhouse to discuss something with a friend." Boze explains, trying not to cause alarm and not mention who she's meeting incase Damien and Wes have a bad relationship.

"Damien? Seriously?" Wes asks as he looks at the clubhouse and shrugs, "Suit yourself but feel free to also call me your friend."

Wes knows that he can't convince this new person to let him take her to the nurse but at least she's with someone mildly responsable who hopefully won't beat her up. Plus he's now sworn personally to help her any way he can.

Wes walks off with his hands in his pockets, of which he has way to many. The pockets Boze means. This leaves Boze to turn and head into the clubhouse, annoyed at Damien, her rage brimming over the edge of anger and into insanity.

"What. I knew you would heal." Damien casually states, making dramatic hand gestures and shaking off Boze's rage. He doesn't care, he has bigger fish to fry, but seeing her still fuming he adds, "All part of your Spark."

"And how did you know my Spark!?" Boze spits accusingly, hands still on her hips as she tries to stare down Damien who simply smiles in response.

"You're not the only one with access to the files, Officer." Damien remarks and laughs at her scared reaction, "Plus the blood sample one of my agents took wasn't too bad either. You can find a lot out from blood you know."

Boze's face of fear is replaced as she raises her eyebrow and tilts her head in confusion, "What agents? No one took my blood."

"Check again sweetheart, you just didn't see them taking your blood, they're ever so quick." Damien comments with a small smile, noticing her reluctance to step closer to him now.

"You know...I'm not evil or insane right?" Damien asks with a smirk as he observes Boze, feeling that she sees him as a threat or target now so he tries to ease her worried head.

"Really?" Boze sarcastically asks as she crosses her arms, staring at Damien, not believing him one bit.

"Yeah. It's actually interesting, most people see me as a slacker but you...you're now seeing me as a suspect. But for what exactly, I'll have to find out." Damien muses, running a hand through his hair and Boze notices a weird trick of the light, a part of his hair being slightly lighter than the rest and seeming a very dark blue instead of black.

"You don't think you're a suspect?" Boze enquires, making a mental note in her head to record her next conversation with Damien. It could prove useful since his talks with her are always 'interesting'.

"Yes, exactly! But I don't think you'll take my word for it so how about I try to prove it to you?" Damien offers and smiles calmly, making it seem like he's actually trustworthy.

Currently Boze is still very suspicious but she has to admit that having some help in finding things out in this school would be easier with someone who actually knows the school like Damien.

"Damien." Boze calls and Damien offers a small response of huh as he turns to pay attention to her, "You have yourself a deal."

Damien jumps on the balls of his feet before shaking her hand and swearing on it, letting go of her hand quickly before winking at her and going to walk off.

"What are you doing!? I thought you said you'd help me!" Boze accuses him as he walks off, making Damien turn around and smirk at her with pity.

"I'm going to alert my troops of the news, unless you don't want my agents helping us as well?"

Boze quickly shakes her head and apologises, "No! Sorry! I just wanted to get going on this case right now."

"Patience, Officer. We'll get our villain and then maybe you'll trust me enough to walk away from you without shouting." Damien teases before casually walking off towards a wooden home slightly above the others.

Erik House - Chapter 26

"Panaro please," Gerik mumbled. "Why? Your kind don't even like guns. Even you wouldn't go this far-"

"OH WOULDN'T I?!" Panaro snarled, shoving the barrel harder against the film adaptions neck.

"I don't want to fight anymore!"

"You seemed eager to fight before!"

"I was wrong! I just felt alone and angry!" Gerik could hear Panaro was breathing heavily, likely through clenched teeth.

"Panaro, please just listen to me for one moment. Give me one last chance."

Gerik tried to explain, "I know now taking advantage of Karimloo like this was wrong."

Gerik felt the barrel slacken against his skin at the mention of the West End Merik.

"I've been trying to fix his head, make him make sense of all this. 'Did you think that I would harm him?' I was selfish trying to play along but I never tried to make him unhappy. That night on the roof, I wasn't myself! I've been trying to control my anger. Please, I want him to love you again."

The film adaption exhaled a sigh, feeling the hand holding the gun be lowered.

But that moment of relief was just that, a moment. Before Gerik knew what was happening, the Broadway Merik spun him around to face Panaro-who looked haggard and deranged more than ever.

Gerik felt the gun shoved under his chin.

"I. Don't. Believe. You." Panaro practically hissed, getting right up in the masked man's face.

"Panaro, I-"

"SILENCE! You're lying! All you are is a liar!" The Broadway Merik screamed,

"You're not getting away with this trick!"

But before Panaro could do anything-whether he bluffed or had full intent on shooting Gerik-the film adapted tenor got the upper hand. Ramming himself forward, Gerik brutishly headbutted the Merik who fell over clutching his aching skull. The forehead of Panaro's porcelain mask was cracked, and the Broadway man moaned in pain.

Gerik grumbled, rubbing his forehead. While he was use to such forceful tactics, it would still leave a bruise. Not to mention the cracking and sharp shards from Panaro's mask on impact cause Gerik's temple to bleed. Panaro starting to come to, Gerik tried to snatch the gun away before the Broadway Merik got up. But both men's hands wrapped around the gun.

Panaro shot up ramming Gerik into a neighboring wall, the film adaptions diorama dolls clattering to the floor from the cinematic tenor's impact.

"Panaro don't!" Gerik cried, "I don't want to fight you!"

"Then you make this all too easy for me!" The Broadway man growled, wrestling with the film adaption. In a battle of strength the scales were definitely leaning in favor of Gerik.

But in a moment where neither knew who did it, the room went ominously still with a sudden bang.

Winslow grumbled impatiently.

"Oh do stand still birdman!" Mr. Y scolded him.

"Hey-dfjsdngsk! sgvrbge!!" He garbled. Something-whether it was Polo again or not-had torn through the wiring of Winslow's speech box. This all the more annoyed he and Destler, as this had caused them to postpone their last outing in the city. Already they were bickering before this.

"Hmm," Y hummed examining the box. "For one thing your wiring is a mess, looks like it hasn't been touched since the 70's."

Winslow gave him a dark eyed scowl as if saying he was pointing out the obvious.

"Well I'm sad to say I'm at a loss. The tech in this box is very dated, and even if I attempt to rewire it all, it would take up to a month for the proper replacement parts. I'm sorry monsieur."

Frustrated, Winslow merely snatched the faulty wires away from the sequel adaption and stormed down to the parlor, babbling garbled noise as he stomped through the hall.

Lewis sighed hopelessly as he walked up to his room. Kelly wasn't returning his calls, surely she cared? Wanted to make sure he had escaped?

Hopelessly he was worried about her. The tall framed Merik sighed, shutting the door to lean against it.

"OH HELLO GOOD SIR!"

Lewis bolted upright, finally bothering to look up.

"Wh-What ARE you doing monsieur?! Lewis questioned wide eyed-although the others could hardly tell when his eyes weren't wide.

Brawford sat there in their room fully at ease. He was wearing his blue evening robe and hat, but the red bedazzled tights were very distracting. Especially as the fresh Broadway Merik continuously crossed and uncrossed his legs.

"Why so tense good messieur!" Brawford jeered happily,

Lewis babbled awkwardly trying to make sense of the situation.

"You clearly don't follow my Instastory do you?" He asked.

"I'm...not too big on social media."

"Just as well. Why so down?"

"It's Kelly," Lewis moaned woefully, "She hasn't been getting back to me. I need to make sure she's ok."

"Not to worry monsieur, I'm sure she's alright. In fact let me look into that."

Crossing his tight clothed legs again, Brawford pulled his phone out typing away.

Quirking a brow, Lewis hesitantly approached the Broadway Merik.

"What...are you doing exactly?" The West End masked man asked.

"Kelly M Daae..." He mumbled, "Ah! There's her feed."

"Her what??" Lewis asked puzzled.

"Her Twitter feed! Ah, she seems to be doing well. Trying to adjust to some bloke named Thaxton." He read.

"You got all of that from this?" He asked pointing to his phone.

"Oh yes! Want me to show you how to use it?"

"I don't see myself becoming accustom to using such a tool. But maybe you could...help me get updates on how my Kelly is doing?"

Brawford smiled beneath his half mask, "Certainly!"

He chuckled aloud as Lewis sat opposite Brawford, hesitantly crossing his legs similarly to his new roommate.

Karimloo with Wilkinson's assistance had hobbled up the third floor steps. The West End Merik insisting he was alright was left alone, as he intended to ask Mr. Y if he planned on going into the city later that day. Perhaps fresh air-and just a few reps at the gym-might do the masked man some good in unclouding his jumbled thoughts.

Hearing disgruntled noises and something big being slammed into a wall of the adjacent room from Y's, Karimloo hesitantly approached the door noting it was Gerik's room. He really did need to speak to him, almost avoiding it really as it constantly ate away at him.

But what he saw was not a welcoming sight as Gerik and...and Panaro were fighting.

He wanted to help, he had to stop the Merik before he tried to kill Gerik too. But watching the two slam each other across the room, Karimloo's fractured mind was travelling a mile of minute in thought.

Who is who? What is what? Real? Not real?

The bang snapped his attention back in the room.

"NO!!!" Karimloo screamed seeing Panaro drop to his knees in pain. "PAN!"

Gerik was wide eyed in shock, just as much as the West End Merik was. He wasn't sure if his hand pulled the trigger or Panaro's, either way he hadn't meant for anyone to get hurt.

Karimloo lost his balance on his poor footing but went as far as to begin crawling on all fours toward the wounded Merik.

"Pan? Pan, Pan please." Karimloo mumbled through quivering lips. "Come on Pan, you're alright...come on..."

Panaro's breathing was hard and his hands clutching his stomach were coated red. But despite this he squinted up.

"This....it must be...a hallucination." Panaro gasped from the pain, reaching a blood smeared hand to ever so slightly touch the unscathed half of Karimloo's face. "Kari..."

Karimloo gathered Panaro up in his arms as both men wept.

"What the hell is going on?!" Mr. Y and Harley poked in, immediately taken back by the sight. "God..."

"Go get help!" Gerik called.

"You let the others know," Y explained to Harley "I'll try and-"

"No! No," Panaro managed to croak. "I'll get everyone into trouble..."

"With all due respect love, you're bleeding out in my arms!" Karimloo retorted.

Panaro smiled, "Back to love I see? Urgh...It hurts but it's not as bad as it looks..."

Mr. Y knelt down, pulling open Panaro's suit jacket and shirt-Panaro keeping a hand on the open wound.

"He's actually right," Y said. "Obviously you can't just leave it. But if you really want to avoid geting the others involved or a hospital-"

It seemed that Panaro, Karimloo, and Gerik all cringed at the very mention of a hospital.

"-then I can probably patch it up. I'm not a physician, but it'll be good enough to help it heal."

"I'll..." Gerik stared at the two Meriks "I'll help you get the supplies you need." Leaving the two, Karimloo continued to cry.

"How could I be so foolish?" He wept, "How could I possibly have forgotten you? How could I possibly hate you?"

"'Poor fool he makes me laugh ha ha ha...'" Panaro smirked but grimaced. "No I was the fool. I wouldn't be bleeding onto this surprisingly intricate carpet if not my own recklessness."

"I'm just so sorry Pan..." Cradling the bleeding Broadway Merik.

"As am I Kari..." Panaro sniffled.

While word thankfully hadn't reached Erik's ears, it certainly had to Crawford's after arriving home from an evening of errands. And though displeased that violence had still conspired in the house-and by one of his own this time-the elder Merik was relieved the situation hadn't gotten out of control as the rooftop had. The wound looked worse than it really was.

The bullet hadn't punctured any vital organs or arteries and Panaro hadn't lost enough blood to turn the situation fatal. Aside from several stitches, the Merik was able to get around as required.

"Away, away with you all," He shooed away the gawking sets of mask concealed eyes from Panaro and Karimloo's reunited quarters. "Both of them are fine but for now gentlemen I kindly ask you leave them be."

Like pouty children the Meriks' dispersed at the command. Mismatched eyes caught a shadow peaking around the corner by the stairwell.

"You're not expecting me to throw a fireball at you, are you Monsieur Gerik?"

He asked, already knowing it was the film adaption-not to mention the cologne on him was powerful enough to smell from where the Merik stood.

"Every time something goes wrong I always expect the blame," Gerik mumbled. But what he was not anticipating was the elder gentleman outstretching his hand to him.

Gerik cocked his head confused, "Why?"

"A thank you is in order, Panaro confessed to me you tried to stop him without resorting to a violent conclusion." Crawford said.

"But it did?"

"Of course either one of you could have pulled the trigger, more than likely the boy shot himself. Yet another reason we loathe firearms being that our aim is also quite off. Fire is a much easier substitute..." The elderly masked man shook the nostalgia out of his head. "My point being you only fought back when you had to and that you have been trying to help Monsieur Karimloo. This week has been difficult for everyone but especially him."

His malformed lips curved in a genuine smile at the film adaptation. "Thank you Gerik. And believe me, eventually this will lead to more than just simple words of gratitude."

Gerik nodded, shaking the outstretched hand.

"You're welcome."

*sniffles* Onto a few footnotes!

-More Ben Crawford instastory jokes! One popular joke in particular is the “Crawford Cross” where he films while crossing his legs in costume, usually wearing the Red Death tights.

-On another note while Ben Crawford is very social media active Ben Lewis on the other hand is not and very rarely used behind the scenes social media streams.

My Review of Joss Whedon’s Terrible Wonder Woman Script

I’ve seen a lot of posts about how bad Joss Whedon’s original script for Wonder Woman was, and I just had to read it for myself. And...boy was that a bad idea. This thing was atrcocious. I’m pretty sure my eyes are still bleeding. So please, because I can’t seem to suppress my rage at this, enjoy a super long post about how incredibly Bad this screenplay was.

Warning: I’m gonna be cursing a lot because this was one of the worst things I’ve ever had the displeasure of reading in my life. Enjoy!

Let me begin by saying that this entire screenplay is basically about Steve Trevor and what a burden it is on him to have to save the world and deal with Diana the whole time. What a fucking tragedy. If I wanted to watch a misogynistic movie about a man being weighed down by unfairly-written women, I’d watch literally any other movie in Hollywood.

Not to mention that it doesn’t even include anything about Diana’s backstory? Like, at all? It basically begins with Steve’s plane crash because apparently he’s the most important character in this movie despite it being called Wonder Woman. My deduction is that Joss has no idea who Wonder Woman is and didn’t want to read the comics because he was afraid of what reading something about a woman hero would do to his masculinity, so he decided to just wing it and ignore her backstory completely.

Also wow, it’s plain within the first few lines of dialogue that Steve is reduced to nothing but a sarcastically jerkface, such is the tragedy of all characters who have the misfortune of being written by Joss Whedon. Makes me wonder if maybe, just maybe, misogynistic assholes shouldn’t write movies because their characters will end up like them? Just a thought?

Okay one: WHY IS STEVE TRYING TO MAKE HER FEEL GUILTY FOR DOING LITERALLY NOTHING WRONG?? Gee, sorry if her curiosity about the world is such an inconvenience to you, what a terrible offense. I had no idea insults were the newest form of flattery. I should have known that women actually enjoy being insulted, because of course Joss Whedon knows more about what women like than I, an actual woman, would. How silly of me.

“‘‘Let’s keep in touch’ is American for get the hell out of my face.’” WHAT?? THE FUCK??? WHY IS HE BEING SUCH A JERK??? She saved your goddamn life and you repay her by rudely shoving her out because she’s such an annoyance despite your unfortunate situation of being executed tomorrow. Cry me a freaking river. He is in no position to be anything less than grateful that she saved his sorry life in the first place.

Not only is he insulting her mother, he’s also using “Princess” as an insult, which is such a douchey thing to do?? And the fact that despite his knowledge that she is clearly an incredible fighter and stronger than he’ll ever be, he still thinks she’s not strong enough to take on the real world. Who is this man because this is NOT Steve Trevor this is some monster and from now on his name is Stupid Terrible and I don’t know him. If Joss wanted to make a movie about an asshole saving the world with his sidekick girlfriend, then go make that garbage heap on your own. Don’t sacrifice our Wonder Woman movie to do it.

Oh yes, that’s right, Joss, have someone call Diana a whore. Because that’s obviously what feminists love to see in movies. *Looks into office camera*

It’s funny that despite not being a woman, Joss Whedon seems to think he knows how we want to see ourselves depicted in movies. Newsflash, Joss! You’re not doing it right.

I NEVER THOUGHT I’D EVER IN MY LIFE HAVE TO READ ABOUT DIANA BEING TOLD TO SHUT UP BY STEVE TREVOR AND GETING SHOT ON THE SAME PAGE.

WHAT RIGHT DOES STUPID TERRIBLE HAVE TO TELL HER TO SHUT UP? THE REAL STEVE TREVOR WOULD NEVER THINK OF DOING THAT BECAUSE HE IS AN ACTUAL GENTLEMAN AND NOT SOME ASSHOLE WHO WANTS DIANA TO SIT DOWN AND BE QUIET BECAUSE SHE’S IN THE WAY OF HIS FRAGILE MASCULINITY.

STEVE AND DIANA’S RELATIONSHIP IS ONE OF MUTUAL LOVE AND RESPECT, AND JOSS IS AN IDIOT FOR EVER SUGGESTING OTHERWISE.

“An outfit skimpier than Diana’s.”

Do I really need to comment on this one?

And what a surprise, Diana is being called a bitch. Someone should play a drinking game with this where every time someone calls Diana a disrespectful name everyone takes a shot. Guarantee they’d all be blackout drunk by the end of the movie, since words that degrade women are the only ones in Whedon’s vocabulary.

Yeah that’s right, tell Diana what she can and can’t handle, that’s a good idea.

Why is she literally naked for the entire next scene so Stupid Terrible can patch her up even though the real Diana collapsed a building by smashing into it and was completely fine and even had a cute dance with Steve right after? Diana would never be debilitated by something like that, but I guess according to Joss Whedon’s image, Diana is a weak damsel in distress who is in over her head and needs a strong male to help her overcome her fragile feminine obstacles and fix her when she’s broken. And I’ll bet you all the five dollars and forty cents in my wallet that had this horrific script actually made it on camera, there would no doubt be tons of side boob shots because, as everyone knows, movies exist only so men can see half-naked women. 😒

Just this whole page is so gross I physically cringed when I read it and screamed into my pillow.

Oh look everybody, it’s time for the moment we’ve all been waiting for: The time in the movie when the Man must tell the woman what he thinks she is because of course he knows her better than she knows herself despite only knowing her for a few days.

And don’t forget to feel bad for the poor Male because sadly, his attraction to her is such a burden to him and she should stop being so distracting because it’ll get in the way of his manliness.

And oh, what’s that I hear? The sound of Stupid Terrible hilariously admitting he is secretly hoping for her to flash him? Oh, well of course that’s just comic relief, obviously not contributing at all to rape culture or how men believe it is their right to see women as sex objects and sex objects only.

No problem, just laugh and agree that it’s the funniest thing in the whole world that his priority is seeing Diana naked, rather than be disgusted by the fact that Joss Whedon literally typed this page out and decided it was good enough to include in this god awful script.

Please note the fact that Diana and Stupid Terrible being rejected from the club contributes nothing to the plot whatsoever. Joss just got it in his head that the best idea was to add in a situation with the bouncer just so he could remind the audience that Diana is “fine” and it’s the only way she will ever be allowed anything.

What an inspiring message to little girls who came to see a movie where someone like them could be a hero. Sorry kids, apparently, according to the wise Joss Whedon, women can only get what they want if they are attractive enough to earn it. Thanks, Joss, go burn in hell you pig 😊

(Also, Diana being called a bitch yet again, but what else is new.)

Not only is Diana being called a bitch for I don’t even know what number time, but this guy is taunting her by calling her scared and crazy and sad. So far, nothing in this entire garbage heap of a script has included anything that depicts Wonder Woman as wonderful.

They may as well rename the movie Pathetic Woman or, if you want some better alliteration, Weak Woman, with the way this is going.

What, pray tell, is the fUCKING POINT OF THIS? WE HAVE DIANA SEXY DANCING HERE FOR WHAT EXACTLY? SO JOSS GETS THE CHANCE TO DESCRIBE ALL THE CAPTIVATING WONDERS OF A WOMAN’S BODY BECAUSE HE KNOWS HE’LL NEVER ACTUALLY GET TO SEE ONE UP CLOSE SINCE HE IS SUCH TRASH THAT NO SELF RESPECTING WOMAN WOULD WANT HIM??

Please,, someone,,, just pick up a sniper and take me out right now. I can’t read another line or I’m afraid my eyes will melt.

Though you know what, on second thought maybe I shouldn’t get my brains blown out because judging by this script, Joss would probably just find it sexy and include it in his next movie.

Here’s a delightful example of Stupid Terrible making the misguided assumption that blaming Diana for everything that goes wrong and telling her she does nothing but create chaos is a good idea.

Here’s the deal, people. Telling someone they’re a failure and everything is their fault? Yup, not as good an idea as you may think it is.

Now, dear reader, you maybe be asking yourself right about now, Why isn’t it clear to other people that what he’s saying is awful and he should stop being an asshole and respect Diana’s ability to make her own decisions?

Excellent question!

You see, my friends, that’s the thing about Whedon Science. You notice how he slipped in that Wise™ and Insightful™ elephant and mouse analogy in the middle of his (probably menstruation-caused) pissy rant? The logic of Whedon Science clearly states that by throwing in an intelligent analogy that somewhat applies to the situation, it reverses his argument completely and shows that clearly his rant is meant to be an inspiring pep talk to push Diana to be the best she can be, rather than a gross speech intended to tear down her confidence. Isn’t science fun, kids?

And oh, the dreaded feelings. Here we’ve got Stupid being the Cool and Mysterious character by treating his feelings like a dreaded disease that will kill him on contact.

Though you know what’ll kill him faster? Me when I murder Stupid Terrible with a bulldozer for telling Diana she doesn’t know what it means to be human and she doesn’t belong in the real world.

I can’t even with this part. What kind of human being writes something like this?

Here we have the great and powerful Male Character ranting angrily because right now his feelings are so passionate and important that they must be yelled into Diana’s face, threateningly enough to scare her.

Now I don’t know what this reminds you of, but to me it sounds a lot like what one would picture domestic abuse as. It seems that Joss apparently thinks it’s okay for men to show women who’s the boss by intimidating them into submission. That’s emotional abuse right there, and I will tell you right now that MY Steve Trevor would never even think of doing this to Diana. Ever.

He wouldn’t yell in her face to inform her on what she isn’t capable of. He wouldn’t make her feel like trash and like she should just go back to Themyscira so she can’t mess anything else up. And he definitely, without a doubt, would never ever call her a Fucking. Tourist.

What’s an action movie without a female protagonist being groped by some disgusting perve.

And can I just say that it’s bad enough Joss spent the whole screenplay making Diana seem like nothing but a sexy prop. But now he has the audacity to compare her to a “plague dog” and make aforementioned perve toss her away for fear of catching disease?? This isn’t what we wanted when we demanded you stop treating female characters like they exist only to be desirable, Joss. Nowhere close.

*cups hands around mouth* PRINCESS DIANA AND THE REST OF THE AMAZONS CAN SPEAK HUNDREDS OF LANGUAGES YOU IGNORANT SWINE

*sigh* I don’t even have the energy for the his one. Fuck you, Joss Whedon 🖕

This entire screenplay was filled with Diana doing incredible feats that Stupid Terrible didn’t believe she could do, but she proved him wrong anyway. So of course when she tells him she can fly, his immediate thought is “Of course you can’t fly, that would be crazy.” Here’s an idea. Maybe...don’t have male characters constantly tell women what they are and aren’t capable of?

So yes, this script is garbage. Every time I watch the real Wonder Woman movie, I thank my lucky stars that Patty Jenkins exists and took over this project and made it amazing.

Though I have to say, the fact that Whedon is still planned to direct Batgirl is worse than Hitler being a fashion designer. I would rather have no Batgirl movie at all than have this guy do it. This is the same guy who made Diana sexy dance for no reason and called her a bitch at least three or four times. If Joss directs Batgirl, I guarantee there will be at least one naked scene, sexual tension between Barbara and Bruce, she’ll have an estranged relationship with her dad because according to Whedon, women aren’t capable of loving familial relationships, and she will definitely be in too over her head at some point and need Batman to save her, after which he’ll yell at her because she’s not fit to be a hero. And that’s just off the top of my head.

So yeah. Fuck you, Whedon. 😊

Chapter 20

This scene contains sexual language

The next few months pass by and its a week before Sarutobi leaves back home, Jerico decides to take everyone camping on the country side of town a few miles out of the city, they arrive within two hours of drive time

Omari(geting out of the car): finally we are here....man it was the longest ride ever....

Izuke(annoyed): it would of been shorter if you didn't ask for a lunch break at the gas station a mile back

Omari: what...I was hungry...

Sarutobi: we ate before we got here....your mom made us a big meal before you left

Mariana: dont tease him guys....he's sensitive about his looks....the last thing I need is me complementing him every time he asks a insecure question

Omari: I do not...

All: you do...everytime your insecure

Jerico(placing the bags on the floor): ok guys there three large tents. One for me and my wife, one for the girls, and one for the boys wich has three bed areas. So split up and start setting up the tents guys

The girls including Jerico and his wife put up thier tents, the boys struggle with puting up thiers

Akamari(to Sarutobi): here let me help you...

Sarutobi: no its fine I'll do it

Akamari: no its ok...I want to...

Sarutobi(angry): I said I don't need your help!

Akamari(upset): fine...I was just helping you...but I guess I irritate you by helping too

She goes in her tent for the rest of the afternoon

Jerico: is everything ok Sarutobi...you look irritated at Akamari

Sarutobi: I'm sorry Jerico I didn't...

Jerico: its not me you apologize to its the person you just yelled at you need forgiveness from

Jerico points at the red tent where Akamari went into, he goes inside

Sarutobi(gently wispering): Akamari...

He hears Akamari crying

Sarutobi(wispering): I'm sorry Akamari

He leaves the tent and finishes setting up the boys tent, they set up the camp site, Mianari is making smores as the boys are roasting marshmallows, and Jerico is making funny jokes

Jerico: so the drunk walks in the bar and asks the bartender.....hey where are the pretty girls...then the bartender says what pretty girls....this a nursing home...they're seinors

The boys laugh as Jerico tells another joke, Sarutobi goes and checks on Akamari, he goes in and Mariana comes out

Sarutobi(to Mariana): is Akamari here?

Mariana: no she said she told me she's going for a night swim...and to tell everyone to not disturb her....she wanted to be alone

Sarutobi: can you at least tell me what direction she took?

Mariana: west...if you go straight from here you'll find a pathway down the lake thats where she'll be

He listens to her instructions and heads down the lake....he searches for her but no luck he sees a large moss hill on the other side of the lake and notices theres an opening. He goes to check it out and goes inside

Sarutobi(as he gets close): hello...anybody here?

He walks out of the other side of the cave and finds a medow with a big oak tree. He sees Akamari but is confused as what she is doing. He walks closer and freezes in his traks as he hears moaning and his name come out of her mouth

Sarutobi(smiling): I'm glad you admitted to missing us....and confessing your love...

Mariana(poping out of the blue): there you two are....we been looking everywhere for you...

Akamari and Sarutobi(startled): you have...we only been gone thirty minutes

Both: no...not at all.....we are just taking a dip in the lake....theres nothing wrong with that

Mariana: ok then hurry back once your done

Mariana leaves them alone, Sarutobi swims close to Akamari

Sarutobi(wispering): can we keep what just happened between us a secret?

Akamari(smiling): yeah...its better that way anyway....there no point telling anyone

They give eachother a quick kiss and get out of the lake. Sarutobi uses a air tecnique to dry themselves off, they get dressed and go back to the camp

Izuke(seeing them smile): someone had a good time

Akamari(staring at Sarutobi): we just made up...I finally got an apology

Sarutobi(flustered): and I'm glad we could come to a solution to the problem

Jerico(smiling): great....now can we enjoy the rest of the few days we have here?

Sarutobi and Akamari: yeah its fine

Later that night Akamari is going to sleep thinking of Sarutobi

Akamari(thinking): I can't believe we did it....(suddenly she feels a pain on her chest) what the hell...(it gets more painful and suddenly stops hurting) what the hell...

She grabs a mirror from her bag and checks out her chest....in the left center of her chest a silver hawk tattoo is marked on her chest, she gets out of bed and Sarutobi runs into her

Akamari and Sarutobi: let me see your chest....what....let me see it!

Sarutobi(panicking): please Akamari let me see if you got a weird tattoo on your chest

Akamari: yours first....I need to confirm something

Sarutobi(taking off his shirt): fine then (shows her as he points his finger to it) its a marigold flower...

Akamari(panicking): oh no.....no,no,no....shit why....this shouldn't of happened...

Sarutobi(worried): what does it mean....why the panicking face?

Akamari(feeling guilty): Sarutobi....do you remember how I'm special...how I have special gifts....well besides the rebirth and destruction gift I have one more that I barely am starting to control....its the gift of love upon others and well....

Sarutobi: what so wrong about the love gift?

Akamari(guilty as she turns to look away from him): I just had sex with you....and the gift considered you my potential mate Sarutobi....which means you are mated to me

Sarutobi(shocked): what...did you just say this thing is a symbol of our partnership for life (excited as he turns Akamari around to face him) I don't care....I'm willing to be your mate Akam....

Akamari(irritated): you don't understand the consequences of this Sarutobi...you can't be around any other females...even if they touch you....the mark will cause unbearable pain...

Sarutobi: so what...the only person I want is right in front of me...

Akamari: yeah but....we committed incest Sarutobi....I know you know this is wrong of us to....

Sarutobi(grabbing her shoulders): I don't care....I'll take this sin to the grave and let God judge me and decide my fate....but for now all I know is I love you Akamari....I don't care about what happened to me it was the most amazing thing I've ever experienced

Akamari(crying): I don't want you to regret this....I'm scared in the long run you tell me this is a mistake and I would feel devastated because I know this love has a consequence

Sarutobi: then for now we see this as a wonderful experience....and nothing else ok

Sarutobi takes Akamari to her tent and he heads back to his and falls asleep

hey whats up squad fam id link where I watched it but it was like 4 different sources so I’m sorryyyyy message me and ask for them later

1. They’re jumping right into it and its BTS Spring Day stage all are pastely beige pink and its cute af this is the youngest group on average and has the small Woojin, Kim Youngjin, Kenta, Seonho and Bae Jinyoung

time to ramble abt a weird and super real feeling dream i had that ill now try to make a story and multiple ocs out of

important: takes part across several worlds with one single connecting character. most of the ocs exist in the last, most recent world (that main oc tries his fucking best to stay in bc its actually not a complete dumpster fire)

world 0 -

doesnt remember much

died in a car(?) crash somewhere in a desert next to a broken down rv

world 1 -

wakes up semi corporeal somewhere in a desert next to a broken down rv

something bad (not defined yet) happened and a young woman is hiding in the rv from the sth bad that happened

shes looking fr her sister

tito cant help but help her out and they look for her together since 2 is better than 1

she has been looknig for help for a while

no one has been willing to since she thinks her sister is in the middle of the bad thing

(also the big city. lots of gross stuff everywhere, lots of ppl trying to murder)

no one wants to go there

they go together and nearly die a lot

both get infected w a strange illness

shes geting better, hes slowly dying

they find the sister (why she was there idk yet) and tito basicly sacrifices themself so the sisters can escape the bad thing

BUT the infection from world 1 did sth to him? (superpowers kinda, has no clue what anything is or does)

hes still affected by it somehow and is able to escape the ppl leading him to the monster thing to eat

finds out they picked a rando instead and feels bad

tries to save the rando

figures out monster thing is basicly a big fungus that uses ppl to carry spores

-> the infection he carries infects a spore carries and they die immediatly

quick plan: infect fungus w a disease it is completly unkonw to

doesnt work, spore carriers actually are connected to fungus, its building anti-bodies

he dies in the sewers trying to escape the ppl feeding the fungus.

they accidentally get infected through shenanigans (it was very non-specific in the dream yo)

his powers are by now vry fucking op. but there are SO many powers here too and she fills him in

silver minds: can sense things like weapons if theyre being carried w the intent to harm them or someone they want to look out for. can redirect them against their users, or just stop them alltogether. somewhat staticy voice when stressed, very cold to the touch. born this way

schalks: completly immune to mind intrusion based powers. somewhat of a pack mentality. cannot be located if they dont want to be, very selective in what contact they want. group together for social contact, and also: need contact to eachother bc they need to share excess energy between eachother or they kinda implode. infection based, 2 schalks can have schalk bbys but not often

werewolves: ya only wolves. helke is one! grow up in packs, but adults tend to seperate from larger packs to form their own. can change whenever, super strong always, also fast when changed. just really like raw meat yk? born this way, packs can be made up from basicly anything

Stuart Clark interview before IPL 2019

IN THE following interview, Stuart Clark off ers up a very interesting insight on IPL, especially in the context of today’s youth development camps and talent ID systems. Coming into the Australian national cricket team back in 2006 at the age of 30 meant Clark was already his own bowler. There was no journey of discovery in of the NSW quick. He was what was: super-consistent and relia with the ball. The Aussie selectors needed someone resembling Glenn McGrath for their tour of South Africa, in the days of wife Jane’s illness. In Clark, they had it.

Why don't we start with the question all footy administrators hate being asked: what do you do in the off-season?

Ha ha! There’s no question it’s quieter. Obviously you’re not running around fromweek toweek thinking about footy games and stuff like that. In my jobwe’re very much in the planning stage for next year.We’re talking about budgets, funding and the preparation of different bits and pieces. We’re also building our NSWRL Centre of Excellence out at Sydney Olympic Park; that’s coming to its conclusion. There’s a multi-milliondollar piece of infrastructure that has been siting with me for the last two and a half to three years which is about to be completed. So from my point of view, yes, it is a litle bit slower footy-wise at the moment, butwe’re still flying along.

You have a commerce degree and also studied law at university.Was something in sports admin a main target for you post-playing career?

Oh, I don’t really know. Look, I just got the urge to study. I started later in life; Iwas about 25 so I didn’t do it straight from school. Iwent and played cricket andworked as a real estate agent aswell for a litle while. I quite enjoyed the studying side of life. I got myself in and earned my Masters of Commerce. I enjoyed that and then I turned around and thought, you know, I quite enjoyed the law side of it. My markswere good enough to get myself into the law program at University of Sydney. Once Iwas in, I became immersed in it and away Iwent. I got my teeth into it and started to enjoy it.

Was it a career aspiration to become involved in sports administration for IPL 2019?

I don’t know. It is fun, I’ve got to say. When Iwas doing the Sydney Sixers stuff for a litle while for the couple of years I did it, I really enjoyed it and thenwent andworked as a lawyer for a couple of years. While thatwas a great experience, I’m not sure Iwas ever going to be a partner in a law firm; I just didn’t have the “want” to do that. So from my point of view, I think sports admin,whatever the sport may be, I think Iwould have enjoyed it. I thoughtmaybe this is the calling I’ve been looking for.

As you just mentioned, you were a player/ administrator back in the initial days of the BBL for the Sixers. Did you ever honestly in your wildest dreams think the BBL would explode into what it has in ipl 2019 information, and so quickly?

Iwas at a function today and theywere talking about the BBL. Now, Iwent and played in the first T20World Cup back in 2007 in South Africa.We thought itwas just a bit of a joke;wewere having a good laugh. Blokeswere missing training to go surfing – no one thought this thingwas ever going to kick off. Next thing you knowthe IPL started, all the mega-contractswere coming out ... people started taking it a bit more seriously. You rose up through the Sydney grade cricket ranks behind Glenn McGrath. You have been described as super-consistent with your line and length, just like McGrath. Did that come from learning from him, or was that just a coincidence that you were similar?

I think it was probably a lit le bit of both. We are physically and genetically very similar: tall, skinny and all the rest of it. Neither of us were ever going to bowl as fast as Bret Lee or Shaun Tait – it’s just not in us. So you end up having to work with what you have. Glenn created this successful way of bowling, which was nice and simple, no need to bowl overly fast – you’d still be hit ing around the 130km/h mark. Bowl as many balls as you can at a good length, bouncing and hit ing the top of off stump. Whether consciously or subconsciously, I must’ve thought, well, if I do the same thing, it might work. We both played 60-odd games of Sheffi eld Shield cricket before get ing a game for Australia. He had some unfortunate circumstances with his fi rst wife Jane being ill. He couldn’t go to South Africa. I suppose the selectors said, "Oh well, we want someone to do something similar in ipl 2019 information." Nah! I knew about it by the end of the game because everyone was saying it; it was on TV the whole time. But if you’d asked me before the game “do you know what the best debut bowling fi gures are for a Test match?” I couldn’t have told you. Actually, I had known about Massey’s 16 wickets – it was in the back of my head because I’d seen footage of it, but apart from that ... It’s not something you particularly think about. To get one game for Australia and to get a wicket would have been a highlight. I look back now and think, wow, what happened?

What was your greatest strength as a bowler? How was it that you were able to maintain such a consistent line across your 24 Tests? Were you just a good trainer ... good listener?

I had a coach when I was coming through NSW called Steve Rixon. He used to, not hound us, but he’d be standing at the back of the net with a bit of paper. Every time you bowled one down leg side he’d make a note of it. At er bowling ten overs and thinking you’d fi nished, he’d say, “You bowled 15 balls down the leg side – what are you doing? Come back." Sometimes as a bowler you start almost second-guessing yourself. Sometimes when you’re not get ing anyone out, you start to really hone in on get ing a wicket. It’s almost a bat le within yourself not to try to do something diff erent. You fi ght with yourself to try something when you don’t need to. You’re not backing what you’ve done for a long period of time. You will be successful over time, but you’re living in the moment rather than in the entire space and distance of the game.

We watched Sandpapergate play out with our mouths wide open in shock earlier this year: as a former player how did you see it all? What were your dominant thoughts along the way as far the penalties were concerned, for example?

There’s no question they did the wrong thing and they needed to be given a punishment. The balltampering punishment by the ICC, if you think about it, was one match. In my opinion, the penalties they received from Cricket Australia are ridiculously excessive ipl 2019 information. Yes, they’ve done the wrong thing, but yes, they’ve paid a high enough price. You were fortunate or unfortunate enough to be a part of another “gate” game – Monkeygate back in 2008 in Sydney. With India coming to these shores this summer, what are your dominant memories of ipl 2019 information?

I remember we won ... Andrew Symonds bat ed really well in the fi rst innings and got 100-odd. I remember we couldn’t get Sachin out in the fi rst innings; I think we got everyone else and he was not out at the other end. We just couldn’t get him out: we tried and tried and tried. I ended up get ing Sachin out; he chopped on. On the last day, Ishant Sharma walked out to bat. They were trying to, as all teams do, delay the game and slow it down ... He came out to bat with two let - handed gloves and then sort of halfway-out went: Oh, I’ve got the wrong glove! We ended up get ing the three wickets and there were the celebrations, but unfortunately they were marred a lit le bit by what went on post-match with all the enquiries and the hearing, but yeah, a fabulous game of cricket, went right down to the fi nal couple of overs. Some of the greats of Indian cricket were on the other end, as they’ve done to us over there numerous times. They’re still just so good in their conditions.

Leonard like’s fall asleep with his head on Jim’s lap.

He loves curling up on a couch beside Jim and just laying his head down on his lap and closing his eyes for a few hours, and Jim never has a problem with it.

the first time it happens tey’re at the acadamy studying in the library. Jim’s comfertable on the couch and reading his book to Leonard because he has noticed Leonard is starting to fall asleep. Instead of geting annoyed, Leonard just gets up and moves to the couch beside Jim. he lays down slowly and gets settled in while Jim sputters and protests, unsure of what’s going on. As soon as Leonard is settled and resting, though, Jim can’t help but smile. Leonard looks so adorable like this and he just wants to kiss him asleep. that’s when Jim realizes he loves his best friend.

the second time they’re on the enterprise. Jim is on the couch in the mess hall and Nyota and Spock are sitting across from him. they’re chatting about something Jim doesn’t even remmember when Leonard walks in. Jim greets him happily, frowning when he notices that Leonard’s eyes are glazed over. It only take’s him a moment to realize that Leonard is sleepy af after a long shift in medical, and he smiles when Leonard lays down on the couch and settles on his lap. He doesn’t even complain when Nyota take’s pictures, because he’s too busy running his fingers through Leonard’s hair and smiling to himself. He forgot how amazing this felt.

the third time is after a mission gone wrong. Jim has just gotten out of Medical and has retired to his quarters for the night. Leonard come’s in after his shift and doesn’t say a word. He just lay’s down on the bed and puts his head on Jim’s lap while Jim starts to run his fingers through his hair. At first, Jim think’s that Leonard is tired and probably already falling asleep, so he starts to settle back against his headboard and read the book he has in his hand. However, Leonard looks back at him and sighs before turning around in his spot to bury his face in the material of Jim’s shirt. Jim’s not sure what to do at this point, because this isn’t normal. Leonard doesn’t usually get this close and personal when he’s using Jim’s lap as a pillow.

that’s why when Leonard whispers “i love you, you recklass ass hole” Jim goes kind of stiff. they’ve never talked about their feelings for each other or their friendship. as far as Jim was aware, he had a ridiculous crush on his best friend that would never be returned. now he’s stuck sitting her with Leonard’s admission of love and he’s not sure of what to do.

Leonard falls asleep before he can find the righ way to respond.

the fourth time, it’s Leonard who gets hurt. The ship has been attacked by romulans and when the shields are breached it’s medical that gets hit the hardest. Jim finds Leonard laying on the ground with a gash in his forhead from where he fell into a biobed. Christine was thankfully on her way to medical and was left unharmed, so she take’s care of Leonard’s wounds.

When he’s released from Medical, Leonard is led to Jim’s room by force. He doesn’t complain a lot, but he’s kind of confussed when Jim pulls him into his quarters instead of taking him to Leonard’s.

Jim muscles Leonard into his bed and changes into his sleepwear before crawling into bed beside him. as soon as Jim is in bed, Leonard moves to lay his head down on his lap and go to sleep. something christine has ordered him to get a lot of, and ordered Jim to check up on him because of the concussion he got from his fall.

this time Jim whispers “I love you” while Leonard gets comfertable, and he can feel Leonard going stiff. Had he misheard Leonard the last time this happened? was he about to get ripped into for misreading all of the signs in the past month?

except, Leonard slowly starts to relax, and he looks back at Jim with a soft smile.

“i thought you had ignored me on purpose.”

“oh Bones” he puts his hand in Leonard’s hair and leans down to kiss his forehead “i could never ignore you”

Insurance totalling my car looks suspicious?

At this point I regret making a claim and wish i could turn back the clock. I am being forced into a box and it looks shady. Three weeks ago my 2005 Cadillac STS was involved in a parking lot flood where the water rose and filled the floors of my car by about 4 inches. From the time I dropped it off at the dealer it has been all negative. Right away the dealer was negative and telling me it's the end of the world with my car, everything is ruined and it will probably be a total loss. He got the adjuster for my insurance company out there and it looks like it will be put in to the total loss category. No i am just asking the insurance company to forget everything and drop the claim because the damage is not that extreme and i dont want to lose my car. I am told at this point it is too late. Is that true? My neighbors are floored by this, i have been driving it around for a few weeks just fine and the car still looks new With only 62000 miles on it. I can't help from thinking that something suspicious is going on here. Do they stand to make a nice profit by totalling my vehicle and then replacing one module for a 1000 or so and having a perfect car with all systems working? PLL 7B, Ep 5: In the Eyes Abides the Heart

Welcome back! It’s been 2 weeks since the last new episode so let me remind you where we last left the liars. Hanna found out that Pastor Ted, her mom’s ex-fiance, was the father of CeCe aka Charlotte aka Charles. Pastor Ted also innocently let her know that Charlotte had a childhood friend by the name of Lucas, the genius gaming millionaire and former high school classmate letting Hanna stay in his apartment for free. Spencer finds out from her dad that Mary Drake killed her twin sister, Ali’s mom Jessica, and tried to frame him for murder by burying the body in the Hastings backyard. Aria finds out that Sydney is indeed working with AD and is given a choice - play the game and be tortured by AD or join AD and watch her friends be tortured but be safe herself. Hmm...tough choice, I don’t know let me see what would I do...I think I would get a good lawyer and GO TO THE FUCKING POLICE. What else, what else...oh right..ALI IS PREGNANT WITH EMILY’S BABY.

Tonight’s episode, we are reminded every commercial break, was directed by Spencer herself, Troian Bellisario - fitting because after this episode I am officially convinced that the “Spencer has an identical twin” theory is real. This theory goes two ways - either there are two Spencers running around (the more likely theory) OR Spencer really did die of her gun shot wound to the heart and fake Spencer took her place (my preferred ending for how ridiculous it would be).

At the start of the episode Emily and Ali are wondering what they should do about the baby. Emily feels angry and violated, the most real feelings I’ve ever heard from any of the liars.

Aria is hiding out behind a dumpster outside a restaurant holding her phone. When her facetime rings, a creepy face comes up that seriously looks like a Paige and Aria faceswap (from now on known as Paria). Aria tells Paria that she won’t hurt her friends, and Paria laughs and says she will because Ezra is one document away from going to prison (I still don’t fully understand this, did I miss something here? Is it a document that says he hooked up with Aria in high school because ...we all know. Or did he plagiarize something at some point? I think we aren’t supposed to know what’s in that, but sorry if I’m wrong about that and leading you astray.)

At the brew, Emily/Ali tell the others that they went to the clinic to get blood tests - It should be noticed here that a simple blood test won’t determine the paternity or maternity of your child, they probably had to do an amniocentesis and Ali should probably be resting now. They talk about Lucas - Hanna doesnt believe he knows anything. Emily suggests going through Lucas’ things (something I would’ve done the moment Lucas let me stay in his apartment, even before I found out he was connected to Charlotte). They assume the loft is full of bugs, but they want to search discretely anyway. They all leave Aria, who misses a facetime from AD.

Spencer brings cupcakes to Marco and asks Marco about Archer Dunhill’s finger. She’s wondering what happened (even though she knows). He thinks Mary Drake is a possible suspect in Rollins’ death. He asks Spencer if she knew Mary was involved with Archer and she immediately said no. She reminds him she didn’t know Archer was dead when she asked him to look for Mary.

Aria comes back to the loft to find Ezra is on the phone with Nicole’s dad. Nicole’s parents want Ezra to go back to NY. Ezra leaves to go run errands and Aria’s facetime rings again. Creepy Paria is mad that Aria sent her to voicemail again. Paria sounds just like really corny. I’m not even sure how Aria talks to her without laughing. It seriously looks like Paige in a fun house mirror. Aria asks what AD is getting out of this and she looks at Aria and says:

Literally, exactly like that. Aria tells AD that Hanna and Spencer went looking for Mary Drake and found the place she hid for a few days as well as Charlotte’s father. AD hangs up.

Back at Rosewood High, Paige and Emily are talking about Ali’s baby. Paige doesn’t know it’s really Emily’s, she still thinks its Archer, a fact Emily doesn’t correct. Ali calls and lets Emily know the clinic called - it’s definitely Emily’s baby but it’s not Archer’s sperm. They don’t know who the father is....yet. I do have a theory on this, but I’ll save it for later.

When Spencer gets back to her place, she sees a pillow out of place and an empty wine glass. At the door sits a wine bottle with a note inside. It says “Need to talk please, Mary.”

Hanna and Emily are not so subtlely searching through Lucas’ apartment. Hanna asks her what she’s going to do about the baby. Emily says whatever Ali wants to do, and then changes the subject to the boxes under Lucas’ desk. It’s a box of comic books. Hanna muses about how cute her and Caleb’s babies would be (they definitely would be) while they go through the box. At the back they find a manila envelope and inside is a comic called “Arcturus” by Lucas and Charles. Hanna and Emily later show Aria the comic. It’s a comic about a kid geting bullied and his friend turns into a super hero to torture the friends who picked him - it includes a lot of psychological torture. Aria suggests maybe Lucas is the father of Ali’s baby and Emily says no and takes the comic away. I’d like to point out here that the one liar missing from this scene is Spencer who’s busy leaving a note in a wine bottle at her door for Mary Drake.

In their next facetime call, Aria tells Paria about the weird comic book. She asks if facetime is Lucas, and AD laughs and says would I tell you if I was? Then says “you’re a good spy Aria, now lets see what kind of thief you are.” Curious that Paria wants Aria to steal a comic book and the only liar not in the room when the comic book was shown was Spencer..hmmm???

Let’s return to the show - Emily is drunk at Spencer’s house (you can always count on Spencer to have plenty of wine). Emily says she keeps thinking about the letter Mary wrote Spencer with all the pain and regret of giving up her child. Emily doesn’t want to write a letter like that. Spencer stares at the wine bottle with the note in it as she talks.

A possibly drunk Emily goes to Ali’s house and tells her that she wants her to have the baby. She wants a chance to raise the child. Ali, looking concerned and confused, says we don’t even know who the father is. Emily says we know who the father isnt (but it could still be a psychopath though....) Emily says she doesnt want AD to win, and Ali is like what? And Emily is like that’s not my only reason and she understands if Ali can’t but she wants her to promise to at least think about it. Ali says she promises.

Hanna comes back home and goes to get the comic but realizes it’s missing. She calls Spencer (odd choice) who thinks Lucas is watching them. As she’s on the phone she notices a new note in the wine bottle. In it is a key...now the real mystery begins.... How the hell did the key not drop to the bottom of that wine bottle???

At the brew, Mona shows Hanna that their factory space is on a real estate site and Lucas must’ve put it there. Hanna stares at it for a few minutes then suddenly remembering that Mona is a genius, she tells Mona that she has to show her something.

It’s now night time and a sketchy Aria is walking through the halls of Rosewood High with a flashlight , stopping in front of locker 214. She opens it (it’s empty) then places the envelope with the comic inside. As she’s leaving she hears a noise in the school and runs back to the locker. When she opens it a black hoodie is now inside.

Emily gets drinks with Paige at the Radley, and finally tells her what is going on with her and Ali's baby Just like all of us watching, Paige can’t get over the fact that Alison is having Emily’s baby. Paige thinks she should leave town because she doesnt know who she’ll be to Emily if she stays. Emily tries to beg her to stay and Paige looks at her saying “this is the third time i’ve said goodbye to you, i’m never going to say it again.” They share a last kiss and Paige leaves.

Hanna brings Mona to Ali’s and shows her Liar’s Lament. Mona basically makes love to the game. She says it runs on battery and when she tries to touch the game a knife comes out and she laughs. She wishes she could’ve built something like this because it’s brilliant and beautiful. She then takes a lot of pictures of it on her phone. Something tells me AD won’t like this..but then again AD is too busy facetiming her new bff Aria.

Spencer uses the key to go to a house I assume is Mary’s? There’s mail all over the floor when she walks in. She uses her flashlight to scan instead of turning on any lights, as you do in Rosewood.

When Aria gets back she sees a bag packed by the door and Ezra sitting on the couch. Ezra tells her that everything is ok but he has to go talk to Nicole’s doctor….in NY becuase her parents asked him to come. Aria is like..do you think her parents really don’t know how to talk to a doctor? What happens when we are married? He says he’ll be back in two days and she says i don’t want you to come back, I want you to stay - you dont know what I’ve done for us. Ezra says what Nicole went through was the worst thing in the world and when she came back everything was different and it’s not fair. Kind of like that time that Aria was kidnapped and tortured in a dollhouse? Then she got back and Ezra and her decided to break up. She asks him to stay again but he leaves anyway.

Ali is sleeping on her couch when a figure hovers over her. When she opens her eyes Paige is standing there saying “wake up the door was open you should watch that.”

Spencer sits alone on the couch in the creepy house when she hears a noise at the door. A flashlight shines in her face and it’s Marco. He followed her there. Marco is on to them and says that Spencer seems like she’s the most guilty because she’s so connected to Mary Drake. He asks her if Spencer knew that Archer was at the bar the same night that they were (last season when they made out at the Radley after Spencer broke up with Caleb) or at least his credit card was - flashback to that time Spencer accidentally pulled out Archer’s credit card to pay for their drinks and signed it with her own name. Also when he asked that night what she was doing earlier she “jokingly” said “burying a body.” Oops.

Don’t worry, Paige was not there to murder Ali. She is just there to say goodbye because she is leaving Rosewood. She tells Ali she doesnt want to make it any tougher but she wants to know if Ali loves Emily. Ali says shes the last person she should ask about love. Paige says you know Emily loves you but Ali shrugs it off saying she was a terrible person and sometimes she still is. She doesnt want to tell the truth and Paige tells her to try. Ali says “ i know how i feel when she looks at me, I’ve never felt that with anyone before. It’s like she sees who you really are. Maybe that’s the scariest part. You look at her, her eyes, and you want to be worth the effort. You want to be the person she sees.” Paige is smiling bc she knows that Ali loves her. Then she gets up to leave, before she goes she says “Ali, you’re going to have a beautiful baby.”

In her ridiculous over the top Mona way, Mona has mapped out a blue print of the game, showing how it all works. Mona says whoever made it can’t stop it now - when the game ends, the game dies. Hanna asks if Mona thinks Lucas is involved. Mona says its not computers, it was “lovingly handmade”. Hanna asks Mona to help her play the game and win because she’s the only person who isnt afraid of it. Mona says shes not afraid of it because she doesn’t have a game piece on it. Mona says that someone who plays with people’s lives like this is an addict - something she knows because she once was one. Hanna looks at her and says, yes but now you can finally beat them.

Ezra is waiting for his flight to NY at the airport. Now I was just joking when I said the PLL team always takes the express jet to NY but I guess it’s true. As he’s listening to the flight delay announcements, he turns and sees Spencer talking to someone in the airport. She notices Ezra and says hello, calling him over. The guy she is with turns around and it’s WREN - with a shaved head! She cheerily introduces Ezra to Wren as the guy who was “almost her brother in law a few times” and asks Ezra to join them for a drink, he declines and begins to walk away. She runs to catch him and tells Ezra that Wren used to work at Radley when Charlotte was there so she’s trying to get information. She asks Ezra if he would mind keeping it a secret that he saw her there. Hmm...Spencer was just caught by Marco in Mary Drake’s house and now she’s cheerily at the airport with Wren? Also she wants Ezra to not tell anyone he saw her? Could this be.....the identical twin???

Emily finds Ali crying in the bathroom looking distraught. I really thought Ali was about to tell Emily she had a miscarriage but instead she tells her she’s going to keep the baby because she thought about “what it means and what it could mean.” They are going to do it...together. #emison

Ezra returns home from the airport to Aria. It’s awkward but Aria apologizes for what she said earlier. There’s really no need to apologize here because Ezra is a pedophile and kind of an asshole but whatever Aria is working for AD now so.. Ezra says his flight wasn’t cancelled, he just didn’t get on it. In her bag Aria’s phone is buzzing but she doesn’t asnwer.

As real Spencer comes out of the shower she knocks over the wine bottle with a new note in it saying “you brought the police. I understand. Goodbye.”

In the last scene, AD is sitting at an Inspector Gadget style computer editing the facetime photo of Paria. The voice says over and over again “I warned you, I warned you, I warned you.” The image then holds up a file with Aria’s name on it and she laughs in such a ridiculous way I can’t help but laugh with at her.

Overall, I’d say this episode was a little boring. No big reveals, no shocking conclusions - even revealing Wren in the airport was not that dramatic. I do really believe that identical twin Spencer is A. AD is still someone’s initials after all....Amelia Drake anyone? And what about Wren? It would be really easy to switch hospital records and steal someone’s eggs if you had a doctor on your side. So maybe Wren really did lust after Spencer all these years, then found the next best thing - her identical twin. Is Wren the father of Emison’s baby? And where does Melissa fall into all of this? Is she just going to disappear like Judy Winslow? So many questions, but to be honest I’m not sure I trust I. Marlene King to give us all the answers.
