: ̗̀➛ husband john price - 03
cw : angst, miscarriage, reader is on the chubby side
ㅤㅤ ㅤ ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤcollection - prev ⋆ next
as john sat in the middle of his living room, his head in his hands, he thought about everything that had turned to shit in the last few weeks. he was tired, his body exhausted from the deployment, the stress… the heartache. he couldn't go to bed—not when you wouldn’t let him comfort you as you cried. it was too much.
when he arrived on base, he went straight to his superior's office and told them he wanted to accept the desk job. no more deployments for him. he explained that, subconsciously, he had been training simon to take his place—he knew his lieutenant was ready. after hours of negotiations, they had finally accepted. now, he had to tell his team.
over the years together, task force 141 had developed a deep bond. john loved his boys, but he had other little boys waiting for him at home. he knew they wouldn’t be thrilled with his decision, but they’d understand.
to say they had been shocked would be an understatement. they knew john was getting old, but this was sudden. he had never really expressed any desire to leave the field. simon even went as far as asking if his wife had put him up to this, to which john just laughed, telling them you didn’t even know. it was going to be his little surprise when he came home. he also told them about the new baby. they had been excited about the news.
"tryin’ tae build a whole fitba team there, captain? poor missus cannae catch a break wi’ a bear like you," johnny had said, hugging his captain over the good news. john had received a pat on the back from simon and another embrace from kyle. he was going to miss them.
"let's go out with a bang then, captain, yeah?" kyle had said. one last assignment, then he’d be home for good, right?
how could he have thought it would be this easy?
their intel had been a setup, leading them straight into a trap. chaos ensued—the team was split up, communications were cut, and they were deep in enemy territory. they were being hunted. what should've been a quick extraction turned into three weeks of survival. john had been on his own. he'd seen simon dragging an injured kyle, and that gave him hope they were still alive. he'd prayed johnny had made it out too.
what john hadn’t known was that the rest of his team had made it back within days. no word from their captain for weeks, and the higher-ups had been forced to declare him missing in action. mia. three words that sent a chill through every soldier's spine. sometimes, being dead was easier. after the shitshow that went down, command had strictly prohibited any attempts to mount a rescue.
that was why you had opened the door to three men one morning. you had never met them, but you knew. they didn’t need to say a word. if it hadn’t been for simon’s reflexes, you would’ve dropped to the floor, hard. small pattering feet made their way to the front door, drawn by their mom’s sobs. johnny had rushed to them, telling them he was a friend of their father. pulling them outside to play, he reassured them everything was okay. they were too small to notice the tears in his eyes as he gently guided them out.
simon had dropped to the floor, you still in his arms. he wasn’t one for physical touch, but after john’s disappearance, he had needed comfort too. he had never been more grateful for his balaclava than that day. kyle stood in the entryway, quietly letting the tears fall down his cheeks. he had been the one to notice.
blood, running down your thighs.
everything had been a blur to you. one moment, you were happy at home with your children, and the next, your life had completely fallen apart. alone in the room, you had barely listened when the doctor explained that your baby was gone. you had had a "spontaneous abortion, induced by a significant physiological or emotional stress event."
at least your baby was with their father.
at the same time, your husband had returned from the dead. after long weeks of running and hiding, he had found an old radio and fixed it up. he had cried upon hearing laura's voice from communications. a few hours later, he was back on base.
he had been rushed to the med bay—tired, malnourished, with some wounds still healing—but he was home. he asked about his team.
"yeah, they made it home, captain. we were all waiting for you," the sweet nurse had told him before he closed his eyes.
when he opened his eyes again, he was still in the med bay, but kyle was there. the sergeant had a small smile on his face, and john could see tears filling his eyes—just as there were surely tears in his own. he asked about the others, and kyle reassured him that they were all okay. after years together, john knew there was something else. kyle took a deep breath, and then he spoke.
"it's your wife, captain."
that's how he ended up here. on his couch, in the middle of the night. aside from your heartbreaking sobs, the house was quiet. your children were with their grandparents; john hadn’t seen them yet. he had been told that they didn’t know their dad was missing—they just thought their mum was sick and needed to be left alone.
sighing, john made his way toward his bedroom when he could no longer hear your crying. maybe you had fallen asleep. you both had come home today. you’d been told john was alive and well while you stayed in the hospital for a few days. you knew your anger was unjustified, but you just couldn’t move past it. your mind was playing tricks on you: if john hadn’t been away, your baby would still be safe and warm in your belly. deep down, you knew it was wrong to think like that, but you were heartbroken and didn’t know any better.
you stilled when you heard the bedroom door open. the last time he tried to comfort you, you had screamed terrible things at him—things you regretted, but it was too late. as he got closer to the bed, you realized you were longing for his embrace. just to feel him close, his arms around you. so when he got into bed and reached for you, you let him.
you let him pull you toward his body, even though it wasn’t your husband’s body. not the one you knew. he had lost so much weight; it had been years since he’d been this skinny. you hated it. it reminded you of all the things that had happened, all the things he had been through to come back home. you started crying again. the feeling of his arms tightening around you only fueled your sadness. you had been so cruel to him, but yet, here he was.
"shh, my love," john whispered softly, tears of his own running silently down his cheeks. "i promise everything is gonna be alright." if you hadn't been with him for so long, you would have missed the hurt in his voice. more tears streamed down your face.
you had both lost so much, but you trusted him with your entire body and soul. he promised everything was going to be alright, and you believed him.

🏚️ Kidnapping Setup:
Story Setup:
Create a rival Sim (your Bowser equivalent) with traits like Mean, Hot-Headed, or Kleptomaniac 🥴.
Move this rival into Peach’s castle (using Manage Households) and lock the lot for Peach—she’s officially kicked out! 🚫🏰.

Pause.
Pairing: tim rockford x f!reader Word Count: 1,968 Warnings: 18+ barely edited, no beta so all mistakes are my own - p in v, no contraceptives mentioned or used, but this is an established relationship where this would have previously been discussed, wrap it up folks and practice safe sex! oral, female receiving and a soft tim. Summary: it's tim smut, there's not much more to it than that. but if you want more, tim arrives home after a challenging case goes south and he looks for a release only you can provide.
A/N: this was inspired by this post and I listened to this, this and this on heavy rotation as I wrote it if you're interested in a little soundtrack.
He paused above you, his lips that were seconds ago hungry at your throat had turned to a trail of soft kisses along your jaw before his lips ghosted over to the bridge of your nose before he placed a kiss atop your forehead.
Your eyes closed you held your breath and bit your lip at the sensation of his cock throbbing inside of you, twitching and filling you entirely.
The kisses continued, soft across your temple as you heard his grunt of restraint. It was all in such a stark contrast to the rough impatience from where things had started in the entryway, up the stairs and into your bed.
He'd arrived home with the slam of the front door.
The house had shook with the the reverberations of his anger.
You'd been halfway up the basement stairs, having been down there digging through boxes for an errant wire for your new recording setup. Racing up the remaining stairs you'd flung the door open to find Tim leaning against the hallway console table, both hands gripping the wooden veneer in a vice that looked threatening to its integrity.
You only had a moment to notice the tightness across his back before the creak of your bare foot on the wooden floorboards alerted him to your presence.
His head turned to look at you, the tension in his body so tangible you could almost reach out and touch it.
Pushing himself off the console, his eyes dark, his chest heaving and in three wide strides he crossed the entryway to take your face in his hands, his lips crushed to yours. The box of wires you'd been on your way to your office with fell to the floor to free your hands to grip onto his shoulders to steady yourself. His mouth moved against yours with such a vicious hunger and passion that had shocked you into compliance at his unspoken need to lose himself in you.
It had been a blur of limbs and lips before Tim had taken command with your hand in his and led you up the stairs to your bedroom.
He had kicked the door open before guiding you backwards. His lips at your neck as he set you down on the bed, never breaking contact until finally, he reluctantly stood. Standing at the end of the bed, his eyes dark, his chest breathing heavily as he looked down at you with an intensity that made you both weak in the knees and clenching your thighs together.
He tugged at the tie at his neck, loosening it before he pulled it undone with one hand, thrown to the floor with no care for where it fell for his eyes still hadn't left yours.
The empty shoulder holsters came next before the slow meticulous process of undoing the buttons on the once crisp ironed white shirt he'd left wearing the day before. The case he'd been working on had him burning the candle at both ends, the night before he'd slept at the office. You'd barely seen the back of his head in the last twenty-four hours and with one quick phone call and a handful of text messages, you could only surmise that his investigation had veered off course.
The shirt hit the floor and you licked your lips as you watched him finish undressing.
One knee dropped to the bed followed by the other, he crawled over you only to stop at your hips. You watched as his eyes drank you in. Biting your lip at the intensity of his gaze, and shuddered when his fingers teased at the edge of your sweater where it met the waistband of your sweatpants.
Wordlessly you sat yourself up to allow him to pull it up and off of you, thrown to the floor to join the pile of his own discarded clothing. You let out a small whimper as his hand ran along your now bare sides, over the swell of your hips and with both hands on the waistband he pulled your sweats down your legs as you laid back on the bed once more.
Another piece of clothing for the floor, your sweatpants thrown aside now. He stood back at the end of the bed basking the sight of you. Tim was not one for instant gratification. He was one to savour instead of devour, he took his delight in the finer things.
He rubbed at his jaw with his hand, you could feel the tension coming off him in waves, his eyes looked distant for a moment before you called his name.
“Tim,” the sound of your voice was velvet balm on the quiet of the room, his hand dropped from his jaw to rub at his chest.
A small move, but it was his tell, letting you know his mind was at war with himself.
His eyes refocused and he lowered himself back onto the bed as you parted your legs for him. The heat returned to his eyes, his hands settled at your thighs pushing them further apart. He looked up at you, a soft squeeze at the inside of your thighs was his silent ask to which you nodded. Which meant he wasted no time lowering his head between your thighs.
The warmth of his tongue had you moaning deep in your throat and your feet arching against the bed.
His fingers pressed into the soft flesh of your thighs holding you in place as your fingers out of reach of him fisted the pillow at your head. Your fingers taunt the coil being stretched inside you, begging for relief at the mercy of Tim's tongue that brings you to the edge and teases a freefall.
With one long push of his tongue, one that has you gasping for breath as your hips press up against his face.
Before you can bemoan the loss of his tongue that now swirls around your entrance, coating you in a sweet heat of pressure, he's back again with his tongue darting in and up to your clit. A move in itself that has that coil threatening to snap. But then when joined with his fingers, that move in a symphony together to pull on that coil so much so that it finally snaps and had you crying out Tim's name as his fingers and tongue carry you up and over the edge into sweet oblivion.
The room is a haze and you cry out again at the loss of Tim's fingers and feel the stubble of his beard against the inside of your thigh as he places a kiss there as he looked up at you over the valley of your breasts to watch you catch your breath and continue to clutch at the pillows behind you as the aftershocks roll in with the release that is still in its throws.
Your heart hammering in your chest, you laid breathless before him as he made his way up your body.
Not a curve, not a scar nor a stretch of skin left untouched by his tender kisses by the time his full body was on top of yours.
Taking his time as he finally made his way back to meet your mouth.
His kisses were rough in contrast and seeking purchase on your lips, wanting to feel everything that you were feeling. He wanted to lose himself in you, escape everything that the day had brought.
Finally, he poised himself above you, pushing in slowly inch by inch with a touch that begged for pressure as his cock looked for release against the inner walls of your core. Your breath hitched as he took his time letting your body adjust to his with each passing stroke.
He whispered against your lips before his lips took yours in another rough and hungry kiss, his tongue mimicking the slow thrusts of his cock.
Caging you in, your arms wrapped around his neck as the two of you found a luxurious rhythm that had the both of you filling the room with your gasps and moans.
There he was, raised above you, the restraint of wanting to just bury himself in you, take what he needed, chase that release, lose himself in you and forget everything and anything with the exception of you and exist just in that moment. To pretend that the world could stop on its axis, if just for that moment, just for it to just be you and him in that room for a little longer.
Dipping his head and pressing a kiss to your forehead, he paused.
The need to have him move, to hit just that spot, to wind the coil back up, pull it tight and bring you back to the edge was at war to allow him to just let himself go. His forehead pressed against yours, you opened your eyes to see his closed tight. Restraint at his lips, pressed together in a tight thin line you reached up and traced the dark circles under his eyes. He turned his face instinctively into your palm, a kiss at the heel of your hand.
“It's okay Tim,” you spoke, your voice a quiet hush, “It's okay.”
He took one last moment to savour you, unable to restrain himself any longer, the delay in gratification at its limit he began to drive into you. Deep, hard thrusts, your body rising and falling with each movement, his hands at your hips anchoring you as he let out a low growl at the chase of release that only you could bring.
Your hands scrambled to hold onto him, your breath coming in quick gasps. He gave a languid stroke of your calf as you wrapped your legs around him; nails scratching against his back, his hips, anywhere you tried to hold on a little longer as he pushed into you, again and again until you felt his cock throbbing inside of you as he came with a roar that seemed to shake the walls around you.
Pushing himself into you one last time, his lips against yours as he groaned the rest of his release into your mouth.
He finally collapsed on top of you panting heavily against your shoulder. With both hands, your fingers sunk into his curls, usually neat, were unruly and damp with sweat. Both of you spent, hearts pounding, both struggling to catch your breath.
In the quiet of the room, he stayed still, only reaching out his hand to intertwine with the fingers of the one hand that had released his hair, clinging on to you, afraid if he let go you'd be gone and he'd be left with the realities of the day alone.
Moments passed, and the only sound that filled the room was the sound of his laboured breathing and your soft whispers in his ear that spoke in volumes of love, understanding, reassurance and safety. You felt his chest heave as he took in a deep breath, as if it was just what he needed to hear to know that everything was going to be okay.
It's there where you both found solace; a safe haven away from all the chaos and worry of life outside. You continued to whisper calming words of reassurance and nuzzled against his temple allowing your breath to settle in time with his own.
A heavy exhale and a quiet “I love you,” from you, before he lifted his head, a haunted smile on his face as he looked into your eyes.
It's there in those moments that allowed for peace to wash over the both of you, even if it was for just a little while longer until life reared its ugly head again in the morning.
That reality could wait a little longer.

waiiittt i sit tragically bisexual-y pls chair review? or at least what type of chair do you like.. maybe 2025 will be the year bisexuals unshrimp
hey, i'll give a chair review, why not. but since this is a relatively unrelated tangent for my gay fanfiction blog, i'll answer under the cut lmao
that said, it is 1000% worth improving your ergonomics to avoid long term injury and short term pain. i'm a #gamergirl so i've had a lot of friends go through ergo issues and develop repetitive strain injuries, and it sucks. don't do that. you can easily find guides online that will tell you what angles (wrist to keyboard, back tilt, etc.) and distances (e.g. eye to monitor) you should be aiming for in your setup
future you will thank you for avoiding the microinjuries.
so, i am a very small person (5'0"), so my big ergonomic issue is finding a chair/desk setup where my feet can be on the ground without forcing me to look up and angle my arms up to type. so rather than have my lame little feet hover off the ground, i would sit bishrimpually, primarily legs crossed or kind of like a sidesaddle gig. i have pretty good hip flexibility though so i don't think this fucked me up tbh.
secondly, because I'm short, i prefer mid-back chairs and i avoid headrests because they usually press my neck forward because they're not at the right height. this is a huge issue for me on planes and in some cars lol
this bad boy (ikea flintan) served me mediocrely for like 3 years and i am so glad to be rid of it oh my lord. it had 2 modes - back locked, back unlocked, and it was simply not a good chair. also it didn't even roll well. fuck this chair.
i think this is the chair i have now. i went to this tiny family-owned office furniture store (right next to an office depot, very SDV Pierre's vs JojaMart vibes) and basically said 'fuck my shit up'. got a used version of this baby for $80 and my god it's the best $80 i've spent lately. it has both an adjustable seat and an adjustable back so you can change your angle better. and then ofc it's got height adjustment, armrest adjustment, etc. I will also prob change out the wheels to smooth glide caster wheels although i don't do a lot of wheelin' and dealin' in my home setup.
anyway this is a pretty standard office chair, so if you are looking to get a chair, I would say just try to find a store near you (used/refurbished is usually good bang for your buck) and go sit in them until you find one that feels comfortable. there's no one right model and office chairs get extremely expensive extremely quickly. you may not need the 5 different adjustments and all that. they had a full-back model of this and the full (new) price was like $500. but my shrimp ass doesn't need a full back and i won't be using the adjustments that much, so that would've been hugely overkill.
these days I rotate between a floor desk and a traditional desk, and eventually i will prob get a standing desk. maintaining any one position for too long is the real killer. many of us will unfortunately be condemned to the hell of a sedentary full time job, and this lifestyle is slowly killing us. if you can, find ways to keep moving during the day and be consistently active, even if you are not intensely active. my GP tells me that that's what the literature says is the best predictive factor for people with both a long lifespan and a high quality of life in old age.
where possible, fight capitalism, promote the 4-day work week, and support the development of walkable cities. but in a pinch, improving your posture while reading some gay fanfiction will do.

🧩 What Is Network Design? Network design is the process of planning the structure of a computer network—whether it's for a small office, a campus, or a global enterprise. It involves identifying business needs, selecting hardware/software, and defining how devices will communicate.
Think of it as an architect’s blueprint—only for data, not buildings.
🧱 Core Components of a Network Before diving into design, it’s important to know what makes up a network:
Routers: Connect different networks together.
Switches: Connect devices within the same network.
Firewalls: Protect your network from unauthorized access.
Access Points: Allow wireless devices to connect to the network.
Cabling or Wireless Links: Physical or radio-based communication paths.
🗺️ Step-by-Step: Designing a Basic Network Here’s a simplified roadmap to start designing a small to medium-sized network:
Define Requirements Ask:
How many users or devices will connect?
What are the performance needs? (e.g., speed, uptime)
Are there remote or mobile users?
What applications will run on this network?
Create a Network Topology Choose a logical layout:
Star topology: Common and simple (e.g., one central switch).
Mesh topology: High redundancy (used in critical systems).
Hybrid: A mix of both, which is common in larger setups.
Tip: Use tools like draw.io or Cisco Packet Tracer to visualize your design.
Select Hardware and IP Schema Choose devices based on your budget and needs:
Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik (enterprise)
TP-Link, Ubiquiti (SMBs)
Plan IP addressing:
Use private IP ranges (e.g., 192.168.1.0/24)
Avoid IP conflicts using DHCP or static planning.
Add Security Layers Firewalls, VLANs, and ACLs (Access Control Lists)
Enable port security on switches
Use VPNs for remote access
Plan for Scalability and Redundancy Design with future growth in mind
Consider redundant links and failover strategies (e.g., dual routers)
🧪 Test Your Design Use simulation tools:
Cisco Packet Tracer
GNS3
EVE-NG
Before deploying a real network, simulate traffic, check for bottlenecks, and validate security.
🛠️ Tools to Help You Design Tool Purpose Cisco Packet Tracer Network simulation SolarWinds IPAM IP address management Wireshark Network traffic analysis draw.io Network diagrams
📌 Final Thoughts Network design is more than just connecting wires—it's about planning for performance, security, and growth. Whether you’re building a home lab or laying out an enterprise infrastructure, starting with a solid design can save you from major headaches later.
If you're just getting started, experiment, document everything, and stay curious. 💡

Cost of Setting Up an Electric Vehicle Charging Station in India (2025 Guide)

With India accelerating its transition to electric mobility, the demand for EV charging stations is growing rapidly. Whether you're a business owner, real estate developer, or green tech enthusiast, setting up an electric vehicle (EV) charging station is a promising investment. But how much does it really cost to build one? Let's break it down.
Before diving into the costs, it's important to understand the types of EV chargers and the scope of services provided by modern EV charging solution providers like Tobor, a rising name in the EV infrastructure space offering smart, scalable, and efficient EV charging solutions across India.
Types of EV Charging Stations
Understanding the charger types is essential, as this heavily influences the overall cost:
1. AC Charging Stations
AC (Alternating Current) chargers are typically used for slower charging applications, ideal for residential societies, office complexes, and commercial locations with longer dwell times.
Level 1 Chargers: 3.3 kW output, suitable for two- and three-wheelers.
Level 2 Chargers: 7.2 kW to 22 kW, suitable for four-wheelers (e.g., home or workplace).
2. DC Fast Charging Stations
DC (Direct Current) chargers are used where quick charging is required, such as highways, malls, or public parking zones.
DC Fast Chargers: Start from 30 kW and go up to 350 kW.
They can charge an electric car from 0 to 80% in under an hour, depending on the vehicle.
Cost Breakdown for EV Charging Station Setup
The total cost to set up an electric car charging station in India can vary depending on the type of charger, infrastructure, and location. Here is a detailed breakdown:
1. EV Charging Equipment Cost
The cost of the electric car charger itself is one of the biggest components:
AC Chargers: ₹50,000 to ₹1.5 lakh
DC Fast Chargers: ₹5 lakh to ₹40 lakh (depending on capacity and standards like CCS, CHAdeMO, Bharat DC-001)
Tobor offers a range of chargers including TOBOR Lite (3.3 kW), TOBOR 7.2 kW, and TOBOR 11 kW – suitable for home and commercial use.
2. Infrastructure Costs
You’ll also need to invest in site preparation and power infrastructure:
Land Lease or Purchase: Costs vary widely by city and location.
Electrical Upgrades: Transformer, cabling, and power grid integration can cost ₹5 to ₹10 lakh.
Civil Work: Parking bays, shelter, lighting, signage, and accessibility features – ₹2 to ₹5 lakh.
Installation: Depending on charger type and electrical capacity, installation can range from ₹50,000 to ₹3 lakh.
3. Software & Networking Costs
Smart EV charging stations are often connected to networks for billing, load management, and user access:
EVSE Management Software: ₹50,000 to ₹2 lakh depending on features (Tobor integrates smart software as part of its offering).
Mobile App Integration: Enables users to find, reserve, and pay at your station.
OCPP Protocols: Ensures interoperability and scalability of your station.
4. Operational & Maintenance Costs
Running an EV charging station includes recurring costs:
Electricity Bills: ₹5–₹15 per kWh, depending on the state and provider.
Internet Connectivity: ₹1,000–₹2,000 per month for online monitoring.
Station Maintenance: ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh annually.
Staff Salaries: If you have on-site attendants, this could range ₹1 to ₹3 lakh annually.
Marketing: ₹50,000 or more for signage, promotions, and digital visibility.
Total Investment Required
Here’s an estimate of the total cost based on the scale of your EV charging station:
Type
Estimated Range
Level 1 (Basic AC)
₹1 lakh – ₹3 lakh
Level 2 (Commercial AC)
₹3 lakh – ₹6 lakh
DC Fast Charging Station
₹10 lakh – ₹40 lakh
These costs can vary based on customization, location, and electricity load availability. Tobor offers tailored solutions to help you choose the right hardware and software based on your needs.
Government Support and Subsidies
To promote EV adoption and reduce the cost of EV infrastructure:
FAME II Scheme: Offers capital subsidies for charging stations.
State Incentives: States like Delhi, Maharashtra, Kerala, and Gujarat offer reduced electricity tariffs, subsidies up to 25%, and faster approvals.
Ease of Licensing: As per Ministry of Power guidelines, EV charging is a de-licensed activity, making it easier to start.
Return on Investment (ROI)
An EV charging station in a good location with growing EV traffic can break even in 3 to 5 years. Revenue comes from:
Charging fees (per kWh or per session)
Advertisement and partnerships
Value-added services (e.g., parking, cafés, shopping zones nearby)
Final Thoughts
With India's electric mobility market booming, setting up an EV charging station is not only a sustainable choice but also a profitable long-term investment. Whether you're a fleet operator, business owner, or infrastructure developer, now is the perfect time to invest.
For reliable equipment, integrated software, and end-to-end EV charging solutions, Tobor is one of the leading EV charging solution providers in India. From residential setups to large-scale commercial EVSE projects, Tobor supports every step of your journey toward green mobility.

The Ultimate 2024 Guide to Sleeper Sofas: Style, Comfort & Space-Saving Magic
Let’s face it: not all of us have the luxury of a dedicated guest room. Whether you're in a cozy apartment, hosting guests for the weekend, or simply looking to get more function out of your living room, a sleeper sofa is the multitasking miracle you didn’t know you needed. Think of it as the Swiss Army knife of furniture—part sofa bed, part bed, 100% space-saving genius.
In this comprehensive guide, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know about sleeper sofas—from types, comfort levels, and designs, to choosing the right one for your lifestyle. Let's dive in and get comfy!
🛋️ What Is a Sleeper Sofa?
Definition and Functionality
A sleeper sofa, also known as a sofa bed, is a couch with a hidden mattress inside. It transforms into a bed, offering a convenient sleeping space without taking up permanent room.
Sleeper Sofa vs Sofa Bed
Though often used interchangeably, some distinguish sleeper sofas as pull-out types with full mattresses, while sofa beds often refer to futons or click-clacks that fold flat.
🛠️ Types of Sleeper Sofas
1. Pull-Out Sofa Sleeper
The classic. You remove the cushions and pull out a metal frame with a foldable mattress. Great for guests.
2. Futon-Style Sleeper
Simple mechanism: fold the back down to create a flat surface. Ideal for smaller spaces and budget buyers.
3. Click-Clack Mechanism
A modern twist on the futon, it "clicks" into different positions—upright, reclined, and flat. Fast and easy setup.
4. Sectional Sleeper Sofa
Big, comfy, and often with extra features like storage. Great for families or larger living rooms.
5. Loveseat Sleeper
Perfect for small rooms or studio apartments. Converts into a twin-sized bed.
6. Chair Sleeper
Yes, even a single seat can turn into a bed! Ideal for kids or solo guests.
📏 How to Choose the Right Sleeper Sofa
1. Measure Your Space
Before you fall in love with a design, grab your tape measure. Consider both the size as a sofa and when fully extended.
2. Determine Frequency of Use
Will it be used nightly or just for the occasional guest? Frequent sleepers should opt for higher-quality mattresses.
3. Consider Who’s Sleeping
Kids? Elderly relatives? Couples? Choose size and firmness accordingly.
4. Match Your Interior Style
Don't sacrifice aesthetics for functionality. Find one that blends with your decor—modern, traditional, industrial, etc.
💤 Mattress Types for Sleeper Sofas
1. Innerspring
Traditional coils. Affordable but may not be super comfy.
2. Memory Foam
Contours to your body. Great for long-term sleep quality.
3. Gel-Infused Foam

4. Air-Over-Coil
Inflatable top with spring base—luxurious and supportive.
5. Latex
Eco-friendly, breathable, and durable. Higher cost, higher comfort.
🎨 Upholstery Options
1. Fabric
Soft and available in many colors/patterns. Can stain easily—treat with care.
2. Leather
Elegant and easy to clean. Might feel cold and firm.
3. Microfiber
Stain-resistant and affordable. A great family-friendly option.

Luxurious texture and trendy. High-maintenance but visually stunning.
💡 Sleeper Sofa Features to Consider
1. Storage Compartments
Great for hiding extra linens or pillows.
2. USB Charging Ports
Because who doesn’t want to charge their phone in bed?
3. Reclining Features
Some sectional sleepers also recline—double duty furniture!
4. Modular Sections
Move pieces around for maximum versatility.

Sleep, sit, lounge—all in one place.

Transform workspaces into guest rooms in seconds.

First Heat
Bruce + Dick G-rated omegaverse No incest fic <3
Ever since Bruce had taken him in the omega had made Dick feel at home. That’s not to say they didn’t fight or miscommunicate, especially with their double lives as vigilantes, but they always seemed to bounce back from things.
Dick had been too young to know his secondary sex when he first arrived at eight years old, but since both his parents had been betas he assumed he would be one as well. That’s why his sudden bought of illness in the middle of class takes him by surprise.
He logically knew that at 12 he was likely to start presenting if he was an omega, but since he hadn’t considered the option he was completely unprepared for the fever that came over him and the cramping.
He had been taking notes as their teacher lectured, barely grasping the dull topic, when the first wave of pain hit. The fever came on so slowly he hadn’t noticed the sweat that had gathered on his skin. But when he cried out in pain, clutching his abdomen he took stock of his body and his mind came to the startling realization all on it’s own.
The feeling of his teacher’s hand on his elbow helping him to stand is the only thing he can focus on as he’s escorted to the nurses office. The cool press of the beta womans finger on his skin soothes the heat away, though it returns soon after she departs. The hard seat of the chair in the nurse’s office is thankful cool as it presses against his clothed legs.
Distantly he hears the sound of the nurses voice as the omega man calls Bruce to come get him. The icey press of an ice pack to his forehead brings him back into the present as he looks up into calm brown eyes.
“Is that better? I know presentation heats are tough, but if you think you could drink some of this water,” he gestures to a cup on his desk, “it’ll help keep you from dehydrating.”
The calm voice of the nurse in addition to the ice pack he can now hold to his own forehead gets him moving. If drinking some water was even slightly able to help he didn’t want to miss out on the relief. He chugs the contents of the cup quickly, his unexpected thirst surprising him a bit.
He doesn’t let his mind linger on that long as the nurse grabs his cup and refills it. He tries to drink more slowly not wanting to choke, and by the time Bruce arrives he had another three cups. The ice pack has also been exchanged for another cooler one, and when his guardian arrives he’s swept into a warm embrace.
Usually Bruce isn’t very tactile so Dick tries to enjoy the rare gift that is a hug Bruce initiated, but the warmth of the man isn’t helping. He pulls away from the older omegas embrace and stands to leave. Bruce quickly guides him to the car where Alfred awaits them along with the AC blasting cold air.
The drive to the manor is short and the whole drive Bruce holds his hand and offers him water. Before they can make it out of the car and into the house another bought of cramps hits, making Dick double over though thankfully not cry out in pain this time. Bruce exits and quickly scoops him up to carry him inside, making soothing noises all the while.
By the time he’s stopped feeling like he’s being stabbed repeatedly he finds himself in the den where Bruce has his nest setup. The air conditioning is blasting cooling the room and the return of Alfred brings with it a heating pad. Bruce removes both their shoes and helps him out of his school uniform.
Before he can worry about being seen in his underwear Bruce is thrusting his summer pajamas into his arms and turning away to give him privacy. He slips the lightweight material on and curls up in the nest. His arms clutch the heating pad to his core, while his head lays on a cool fluffy pillow.
“Do you need anything? I usually like certain snacks, and we can go get anything you want right now.”
Bruce runs his hands through his hair in a soothing manner and swaps out his half-melted ice pack as he offers. Dick hadn’t thought he was very hungry but the thought of a pizza would not leave his mind. Bruce tried not to indulge him in junk food too often, but the pizza from Dick’s favorite pizzeria would make it on to the menu at least once a month, weather it be on patrol or at dinner.
“Can we have pizza?” he asks softly feeling tired after going to most of his classes and presenting.
Bruce agrees right away and calls for it to be delivered, in the mean time Dick naps curled up in the nest, surrounded by the older omegas comforting scent.

I miss a sense of community
2020. The world was rocked by COVID-19. My life right before then was an unmitigated disaster personally. Relationships were toxic, and bad decisions were made. The company I worked for had to find ways for us to work from home so we couldn't spread the virus. Luckily, I didn't contract it. After a while, our team thrived in the work-from-home setup and occasionally went to the office to shoot campaigns revolving around health safety. At this point, I was already fed up with the negativity of the people around me, myself included.
2022. I have been with the company for 5 years and I was a beacon of light, a source of inspiration and laughter. The life of the party. That's just who I am. As an extrovert, a people pleaser, and a peacekeeper. I was fed up with the petty fights. The adamant fawning. "Plastikan". And my salary isn't going up as I thought it was supposed to. I worked so hard and did so many innovations. Always going the extra mile. Always thinking outside of the box. But the recognition is not enough. The team culture is still toxic. I can't keep up the mask anymore.
So I left.
I was bitter. I needed a change so badly. At this point, I have been convinced that I can work in the comfort of my own home. So there must be jobs out there that have less toxic people, can work from home, and have a higher salary. My self-diagnosed depression had been going on for years. Even after I got the perfect job that fit my preference at the time. I'm still doing it and I'm very grateful for it.
Now I feel alone.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not 100% alone. I have a good support system. She was the true light that guided me out of the darkness. Along with our cats. They are truly my saviors. In 2024, she convinced me to go to the gym and right then I turned a 180 on my life for the better.
I still feel lonely now but I have come a long way. I got rid of bad habits and replaced them with good ones. I repaired some of my relationships and left some of them.
Ever since I left the previous company, I never exercised my extroversion. I miss having a lot of people around and feeding off their energy.
That could be the cost of being selfish. These are the consequences of my actions and decisions. I never have been the one to reach out. I was forced to do it because of work duties but personally, I didn't actively do it. It costs to be out of touch. Aside from my best friends, who are miles away, I have no sense of community to practice on. I feel that I have no purpose.
I hope I find it soon.

dakota kai x fem! reader being featured on her stream?
Company || Dakota Kai x Reader
Summary: Dakota wants company on stream.
The evening sun cast a warm glow through the windows of your shared home, bathing the living room in a soothing light. You were lounging on the couch, scrolling through your phone, when your notifications pinged with a message from Dakota. She was up in her office, currently livestreaming one of her gaming sessions for her fans on OnlyUp.
"Hey babe," her text read, "could use some company. Wanna join me?"
You glanced around the cozy living room, considering the question for a moment. The truth was, you didn't want to miss the chance to spend time with her. With a quick response, you agreed to join her.
Bounding up the stairs two at a time, you reached her office in record time. Dakota's gaming setup was as impressive as ever, and you couldn't help but admire it for a brief moment before making your way toward her. You'd seen her play many times before, and she was undeniably skilled, but you always liked being there in person, cheering her on.
Dakota, engrossed in her game, didn't notice you at first. So you quietly settled on the couch just behind her, ready to provide the company she'd asked for. But as you were about to make yourself comfortable, she turned her head, spotting you out of the corner of her eye.
With a grin, Dakota leaned back in her gaming chair and reached out, grabbing your wrist gently. Before you could react, she tugged you down onto her lap, positioning you so that you faced the computer screen, comfortably seated on her legs.
"Hey, chat," she addressed her livestream audience, her voice carrying a hint of mischief, "look who decided to join us."
Your cheeks flushed as you greeted the chat with a wave, feeling Dakota's arms wrap around you. She continued to play, using her peripheral vision to guide her character through the game. Despite the slight hindrance to her line of sight and mobility, she was determined to keep her promise of spending time with you while providing entertainment for her viewers.
The chat lit up with welcoming messages, and Dakota chatted and laughed along with her fans, occasionally stealing glances at you and pressing soft kisses to your cheek or the top of your head.
As the evening wore on, you couldn't help but be amazed by her multitasking skills. Dakota was fully engaged with her fans while keeping you close, and it made you feel cherished.
Eventually, as the stream came to an end, Dakota set down her controller and turned her attention to you, her bright eyes filled with affection. "Thanks for keeping me company, love," she whispered, leaning in for a sweet kiss.
You smiled, brushing a lock of hair from her face. "'Course, Kota. Anytime, okay."
With your support, both in her gaming and in life, Dakota knew she was a lucky woman, and she couldn't be happier to have you by her side.

Stars of reconciliation
So this is the seventh story for the @codywanbingo with prompt anniversary. I really hope you'll like it. @swfandomevents @swfanfics As always, your reblogs, likes, and comments are not just appreciated, but they fuel my passion for writing even more!

As the sun dipped below the horizon of Coruscant, casting long shadows over the city that had been the heart of the Clone Wars, Commander Cody and Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi stood side by side on a vast balcony. They watched the skyline, ablaze with the lights of celebration, marking the war's end. The air was thick with the scent of fireworks and the distant hum of jubilant crowds, yet around them, a more solemn atmosphere prevailed.
Obi-Wan, his robes fluttering gently in the evening breeze, broke the silence. "It's a sight, isn't it? The galaxy breathing a sigh of relief."
Cody, his armor still bearing the scars of battle, nodded. "It is, General. But it feels like the calm after a storm. Unsure, unpredictable."
Obi-Wan glanced at Cody, detecting an uncharacteristic hesitance in his voice. "We've weathered the storm together, Cody. That won't change, even in peace."
Cody shifted, his gaze fixed on the city below. "That's just it, sir. I've been... that is, the clones and I, we've been discussing our future. With the war over and the age acceleration cured, we have choices now. They want me to lead them, find our place in this new galaxy."
A flicker of concern passed over Obi-Wan's face. "I understand. It's a noble pursuit, Cody. Your brothers couldn't have a finer leader."
Cody hesitated, struggling with words that felt too heavy to speak. "I always thought, after the war... that you and I would continue... like Plo and Wolffe, Mace and Ponds..."
Obi-Wan's expression softened, a mix of sadness and understanding. "Cody, the Jedi Order is in disarray. We're needed in countless ways, rebuilding, healing... My path may not be as straightforward as I hoped."
Cody's heart tightened. He heard Obi-Wan's words, not as a lament of circumstance, but as a polite distancing. A subtle indication that their paths would diverge, that Obi-Wan was preparing to walk a path that didn't include him.
"I see, General. Duty above all," Cody said, his voice a mask of stoicism, concealing the turmoil inside.
Obi-Wan, sensing a tension but misinterpreting its cause, placed a reassuring hand on Cody's shoulder. "Our bonds forged in war will endure, Cody. But yes, duty calls us, perhaps in different directions."
As the night closed in, wrapping the city in a blanket of stars, the two stood in a silence laden with unspoken thoughts and misunderstood sentiments. Each man was internally grappling with the belief that the other desired a future that didn't include their shared adventures.
In the distance, the sounds of celebration echoed, a sharp contrast to the introspective quiet between them. In this moment, under the guise of understanding and acceptance, a confusing misunderstanding took root, quietly steering them onto separate paths, neither aware of the other's true feelings and desires.
****
Eight months had passed since the Clone Wars had drawn to a close, leaving a galaxy in tentative peace. Commander Cody, once a figure synonymous with the frontline of battle, now found himself navigating a vastly different terrain. He had taken on the role of a guardian and guide for his clone brothers, a task he approached with the same dedication he had given to his military duties. Yet, amidst this new purpose, a sense of loss lingered within him, an unarticulated yearning for what might have been.
Cody had made a modest apartment on Coruscant his base of operations, though it felt more like a waypoint than a home. The small living space was sparsely furnished, its walls adorned with maps and memorabilia from the Clone Wars. More often than not, Cody found himself asleep at his office, a makeshift setup in one corner of the apartment, surrounded by data pads and communications from clones across the galaxy. It was here, amidst the glow of screens and the silent hum of the city, that he felt most at ease, yet simultaneously most alone.
His days were a blur of meetings, reports, and decisions. He was tirelessly working to ensure that his brothers had the support they needed to integrate into civilian life, a task that was both fulfilling and exhausting. But at night, when the city's relentless energy waned and the stars peeked through the urban sprawl, Cody’s thoughts would invariably drift to Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Obi-Wan, with whom he had shared not only the camaraderie of war but a bond that had transcended the usual ties between a Jedi and a clone commander. There had been a mutual understanding, a shared sense of purpose that Cody now realized he had taken for granted. The last time they had spoken, on a balcony overlooking the celebrations of victory, there had been an unspoken tension, a miscommunication that neither had addressed. Cody had interpreted Obi-Wan's words about duty and paths as a polite way of moving on, a gentle severing of their partnership.
One late evening, as Cody sat in his office, poring over reports, Captain Rex paid him a visit. Rex, who had always been more than just a comrade, had a way of reading Cody like no one else.
In the dimly lit confines of his office, surrounded by the quiet hum of Coruscant's nocturnal pulse, Commander Cody sat with Captain Rex, his eyes reflecting the fatigue of endless responsibilities. The room, illuminated only by the soft glow of data screens, felt more like a command center than a place of rest. Cody's gaze, usually so focused and unwavering, seemed distant, lost in thoughts that went beyond the reports in front of him.
Rex, leaning against a cluttered desk, observed Cody with a mix of concern and brotherly affection. "You can't keep going like this, Cody. All work and no... well, you know," he said, attempting to lighten the mood.
Cody offered a faint smile, but it didn't quite reach his eyes. "This is what I signed up for, Rex. It's what they need," he replied, gesturing vaguely to the stacks of communications from clones across the galaxy.
Rex pushed off from the desk, moving closer. "It's not just about them, though. It's about you, too. You've been carrying something heavy since the war ended. Something more than duty."
Cody's expression tightened slightly, a silent acknowledgment of Rex's insight. He looked away, fixing his gaze on the cityscape visible through the small window.
Rex, undeterred, continued, "It's Obi-Wan, isn't it? You haven't been the same since that last conversation you two had."
Cody's jaw clenched, a flood of emotions washing over him at the mention of Obi-Wan. "It's complicated, Rex. I thought he wanted to move on, to leave behind whatever it was we had."
Rex sat down beside Cody, his voice soft but insistent. "But did you ever ask him, Cody? Did you ever give him a chance to explain?"
Cody shook his head, a mixture of regret and stubbornness in his eyes. "I didn't need to. It was clear enough. Duty calls us in different directions."
Rex sighed, his frustration evident. "Cody, you're assuming a lot. Maybe too much. You're reading between lines that might not even be there."
Cody turned to face Rex, the weight of his unspoken feelings evident in his furrowed brow. "And what if I'm wrong, Rex? What if I reach out and... and he's moved on? What then?"
Rex placed a hand on Cody's shoulder, a gesture of solidarity. "Then at least you'll know. You won't be stuck in this limbo, wondering 'what if.' Cody, you owe it to yourself, and to him, to find out the truth."
In the quiet of the room, the truth of Rex's words hung in the air, undeniable and daunting. Cody knew Rex was right; the uncertainty, the unspoken questions, they had been a constant companion in these long months. The idea of reaching out to Obi-Wan was terrifying, yet the possibility of clarity, of resolution, was a siren call he could no longer ignore.
As Rex stood to leave, he gave Cody's shoulder a final squeeze. "Think about it, Cody. Don't let fear decide your path."
Alone again, Cody stared out into the night, the city's lights flickering like distant stars. Rex's words echoed in his mind, a challenge to the barriers he had built around his heart. The night stretched on, a silent witness to Cody's internal struggle, a battle not of war, but of the heart and what it dared to hope for.
***
Eight months after the end of the Clone Wars, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi found himself tirelessly working to usher in an era of peace across the galaxy. Each mission took him to worlds still grappling with the aftermath of the conflict, where his presence as a Jedi brought hope to war-weary populations. While he carried out these duties with unwavering dedication, a sense of personal loss lingered beneath his calm exterior.
His thoughts often drifted to Commander Cody, with whom he had shared not only the perils of war but a profound bond of trust and mutual respect. The memory of their last conversation on Coruscant, filled with unspoken words and unaddressed tensions, haunted him.
On a mission to the recovering world of Taris, Obi-Wan stood on a balcony, gazing out at the city being rebuilt from ruins. The fading light of the setting sun cast a warm glow over the scarred landscape, mirroring the contemplative mood that had enveloped him.
"Obi-Wan," a familiar voice called out gently. Master Plo Koon approached, his imposing figure softened by the compassionate eyes visible behind his mask.
Obi-Wan turned, offering a respectful nod. "Master Koon, I was just reflecting on the task ahead of us."
Plo Koon joined him at the balcony, his gaze following Obi-Wan's. "You have done much for the galaxy, Obi-Wan. But even Jedi are not immune to the burdens of the heart."
Obi-Wan's eyes flickered with a rare vulnerability. "It seems you know me too well, Master Koon."
Plo Koon's voice was soothing, yet insistent. "The war has ended, but its echoes remain in us all. You carry a particular weight, my friend. Is it about Commander Cody?"
Obi-Wan sighed, the weight of his unspoken thoughts becoming palpable. "Yes, it is. I fear our last conversation may have left things... unresolved. We parted ways, each burdened by our own duties, but I often find myself wondering if I made a mistake."
Plo Koon regarded Obi-Wan thoughtfully. "In times of war, we make decisions swiftly, often guided by duty. But peace gives us a chance to reflect, to mend what was left behind."
"Perhaps I should reach out to him," Obi-Wan mused, more to himself than to Plo Koon. "But what if he has moved on? What if my hesitation has already spoken for me?"
Plo Koon placed a reassuring hand on Obi-Wan's shoulder. "The bonds forged in the crucible of war are not easily broken, Obi-Wan. Reach out to him. Closure, whatever its form, brings its own peace."
Obi-Wan nodded slowly, the wisdom in Plo Koon's words resonating deeply within him. The night was drawing in, and with it came a resolve to bridge the distance that had grown between him and Cody. It was a daunting prospect, yet as he stood there with the wise Jedi Master, he felt a burgeoning sense of hope. Perhaps it wasn't too late to reconnect, to address the unspoken feelings that had lingered between them for far too long.
****
As the galaxy slowly healed from the wounds of war, the annual Festival of Stars on Alderaan approached – a celebration marking the anniversary of the planet's liberation from an oppressive regime centuries ago. It was a time of joy and remembrance, symbolizing hope and the triumph of freedom. Alderaan, known for its cultural richness and peaceful demeanor, welcomed guests from across the galaxy to partake in the festivities.
Chancellor Bail Organa, a key figure in organizing the festival, saw it as more than just a cultural event this year. He had noticed the rift between Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Commander Cody, a divide born out of misunderstandings and unspoken words. Concerned about his friends, Bail saw the festival as an opportunity to help bridge the gap between them. He had always believed in the power of unity and reconciliation, values deeply ingrained in Alderaanian culture.
Bail's office on Alderaan was a hub of activity, with aides and organizers bustling about, finalizing plans for the festival. Amidst this flurry, Bail sat at his desk, composing personal invitations to Obi-Wan and Cody. He knew they would have attended regardless, but this year, he added a personal note to each, expressing his hope to see them there.
Meanwhile, several of their mutual friends – Jedi, clones, and even Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker, who had settled into a quieter life on Coruscant – had reached out to Bail, expressing their concerns about Obi-Wan and Cody. Anakin, now embracing his role as Padmé's supportive husband, was particularly keen on seeing his former Master find happiness.
"Bail, you know they're both too stubborn to take the first step," Anakin had said during a private conversation. "This festival might be the only chance to get them in the same place at the same time."
Padmé, ever the diplomat, had nodded in agreement. "They've both done so much for the galaxy. It's time they found some peace for themselves. Perhaps in each other."
Back on Coruscant, Obi-Wan received Bail's invitation with a sense of nostalgia. The Festival of Stars had always been a favorite of his, a celebration of peace and culture. The personal note from Bail, hinting at a chance to mend bridges, struck a chord in him. He wondered if Cody would be there, and whether this might be the opportunity to address the unspoken tension between them.
Similarly, in his modest apartment on Coruscant, Cody held his invitation, feeling a mix of anticipation and apprehension. The festival was a reminder of simpler times, of unity and camaraderie. Bail's words, warm and encouraging, made him ponder the possibility of encountering Obi-Wan. The thought stirred a tumult of emotions within him – hope, fear, and a longing he had tried to bury.
As the day of the festival drew nearer, both Obi-Wan and Cody grappled with their uncertainties. The idea of seeing each other again brought to the surface feelings they had both tried to conceal, a complex tapestry of regret, fondness, and unresolved affection.
On Alderaan, preparations for the festival were in full swing. The streets were adorned with vibrant banners and lights, the air filled with the scent of blooming flowers and the sound of music. Bail Organa watched from his balcony, hoping that the beauty and spirit of the festival would help heal old wounds and rekindle lost connections, not just for the galaxy, but for two friends who had unknowingly yearned for reconciliation.
The Festival of Stars on Alderaan was a sight to behold, a spectacle of light, sound, and celebration that seemed to lift the spirit of the entire galaxy. The air was alive with the gentle strumming of harps and the soft, melodious hum of Alderaanian singers, their voices intertwining with the rustling leaves of the great trees that adorned the city. The streets were bathed in the warm glow of thousands of lanterns, casting a soft, golden light that flickered like tiny stars, mirroring the celestial bodies that shone brightly in the clear night sky.
As Obi-Wan Kenobi stepped into the heart of the festival, he was immediately enveloped in an ambiance of joy and peace. The scent of exotic flowers mixed with the aroma of spiced delicacies being prepared at various stalls. Children ran past him, laughing and waving glowsticks, their faces alight with wonder. Couples strolled hand in hand, pausing occasionally to admire the intricate artworks and tapestries that depicted Alderaan's rich history and culture.
Walking through the crowd, Obi-Wan felt a sense of nostalgia, a reminder of times before the war when the galaxy seemed a simpler, kinder place. He paused to watch a group of dancers, their movements fluid and graceful, telling stories of love and loss, hope and renewal. The music, a complex layering of strings and wind instruments, filled him with a sense of longing, a yearning for connections lost and for a time when his heart was not burdened by the weight of unspoken words.
Elsewhere, Commander Cody found himself similarly captivated by the festival's beauty. The vibrant colors of the banners, the laughter and chatter of the attendees, the sense of unity and celebration – it was overwhelming in its splendor. He observed families and friends gathered around, sharing stories and creating memories, a stark contrast to the solitude he had grown accustomed to.
The tantalizing scents of roasting meats and sweet pastries wafted through the air, tempting him to pause at a food stall. The vendor, recognizing the weariness behind his stoic facade, offered him a traditional Alderaanian pastry, a delicate confection that melted in his mouth, its sweetness a balm to his soul.
As Cody continued to wander, he came across a group of musicians playing a hauntingly beautiful melody that spoke of lost love and enduring hope. The music resonated with him, stirring emotions he had long suppressed. The sound of laughter and the warmth of the crowd around him only served to accentuate the void he felt within, a void he had been trying to ignore since his last conversation with Obi-Wan.
Unbeknownst to both, Obi-Wan and Cody moved through the festival, their paths weaving through the throngs of people, yet never crossing. Each was lost in their own thoughts, reflections on the past, and contemplations of what the future might hold.
The Festival of Stars continued around them, a dazzling display of Alderaan's commitment to peace and beauty. It was a celebration that spoke to the heart, a reminder of the joys of life that could still be found even after the darkest of times. For Obi-Wan and Cody, it was a night of introspection, of coming to terms with their own feelings, unaware that the possibility of reconciliation was closer than they imagined.

As the Festival of Stars continued its vibrant celebration, Commander Cody found himself amidst a group of familiar faces – Rex, Waxer, Fives, Echo, and other clones who had become like a family to him. They moved through the festival together, a band of brothers united by their shared past and their hope for the future.
The clones, each in their own way, had adapted to life after the war, finding new paths and identities beyond their roles as soldiers. They joked and laughed, their camaraderie a comforting presence in the midst of the festival's exuberance. Cody, usually reserved and contemplative, allowed himself to relax in their company, the familiarity of their banter and the shared memories bringing a sense of ease he hadn't felt in a long time.
As they approached a stage where a group of Alderaanian performers was preparing for a traditional dance, Rex nudged Cody playfully. "You should try to enjoy yourself, Cody. It's a celebration, after all."
Cody smiled, a genuine warmth in his expression. "I am enjoying myself, Rex. It's good to be here with you all."
Waxer, always the more lighthearted of the group, chimed in. "It's not just about being here, Cody. It's about letting go. We've earned a bit of peace, haven't we?"
The group found themselves a spot where they could watch the performance. The dancers, adorned in flowing robes of vibrant hues, moved with a grace and precision that was mesmerizing. Their dance told a story of struggle and triumph, themes that resonated deeply with Cody and his brothers.
As the performance continued, Cody's gaze drifted over the crowd. He saw families and friends, people from all walks of life, united in their enjoyment of the moment. It was a stark reminder of the life he had been a part of during the war and the life he was now living. A life where he was not just a commander but a brother, a mentor, and a friend.
Echo, noticing Cody's reflective mood, leaned in. "You've done a lot for us, Cody. We wouldn't be here, like this, without you."
Cody looked at Echo, his eyes conveying a depth of emotion. "We've all been through so much together. I just did what I felt was right."
Fives added, his voice sincere, "You always think of us, but don't forget about yourself, Cody. You deserve happiness too."
Their words, simple yet profound, struck a chord in Cody. He realized how much he had focused on others, often neglecting his own needs and desires. The festival, with its celebration of life and renewal, was slowly peeling away the layers of duty and responsibility he had wrapped around himself.
As the night progressed, the clones shared stories and memories, their laughter mingling with the music and joy of the festival around them. For Cody, each moment was a step towards embracing the present, towards acknowledging that life after the war could be about more than just duty – it could be about living, healing, and perhaps, finding a way to bridge the gap to a past he thought he had left behind.

As the Festival of Stars illuminated the night sky over Alderaan, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi found himself in the company of old friends and new beginnings. Accompanying him were Chancellor Bail Organa, Padmé Amidala, Anakin Skywalker, the young Luke and Leia, and fellow Jedi Masters Plo Koon and Mace Windu. Together, they navigated the vibrant festivities, a tapestry of light, music, and laughter that seemed to heal the scars of war.
Walking through the bustling streets, Obi-Wan felt a sense of camaraderie that had been missing from his life since the end of the Clone Wars. The festival's atmosphere was infectious, with performers in colorful costumes dancing to the rhythm of lively music, and artisans displaying their crafts. The air was filled with the aroma of exotic spices and the sweet fragrance of Alderaanian flowers, creating a sensory experience that was almost overwhelming in its richness.
Bail, ever the gracious host, guided them through the throngs of people, pointing out historical landmarks and sharing anecdotes about past festivals. "This is more than just a celebration," Bail explained, his voice filled with pride. "It's a reminder of our resilience, our commitment to peace and unity."
As they approached a group of musicians, Anakin, holding a smiling Leia in his arms, leaned over to Obi-Wan. "It's good to see you like this, Master," he said, a teasing glint in his eye. "I don't think I've ever seen you so relaxed."
Obi-Wan chuckled, the tension that often accompanied his responsibilities momentarily forgotten. "It seems the joys of the festival are infectious, Anakin."
Padmé, with Luke perched on her hip, joined in the conversation. "It's important to remember moments like these, to hold onto the beauty in life, especially after everything we've been through."
As they continued, they came across a group of children playing a traditional Alderaanian game. Luke and Leia's eyes lit up with excitement, and with a nod from their parents, they joined in, laughter filling the air. Watching the children play, Obi-Wan felt a wave of hope for the future, a sense that despite the challenges, the galaxy would find its way to lasting peace.
Master Plo Koon, observing the scene with a gentle smile beneath his mask, turned to Obi-Wan. "The innocence of youth, the joy of freedom – this is what we fought for, Obi-Wan. It's heartening to see it come to fruition."
Mace Windu, usually stoic, added in a softer tone, "It's a reminder of why we must remain vigilant, to protect and nurture this peace."
The group made their way to a viewing area where a spectacular display of fireworks was about to begin. As the first burst of color exploded in the sky, illuminating their faces in a kaleidoscope of light, Obi-Wan felt a sense of contentment. Surrounded by friends and the laughter of children, he was reminded of the beauty that still existed in the galaxy.
Yet, in the midst of this joy, there was a part of him that remained incomplete, a chapter from his past that lingered unresolved. As he watched the fireworks, his thoughts wandered to Commander Cody, wondering if he too was somewhere among the crowd, sharing in the wonder of the festival. The possibility both excited and unnerved him, reigniting the unspoken feelings he had harbored for so long.
The Festival of Stars continued around them, a beacon of hope and celebration in a galaxy reborn from conflict. For Obi-Wan Kenobi, it was a night of reflection and connection, a reminder of the joys of life and the bonds that endured through the darkest of times.
****
As the Festival of Stars reached its zenith, with fireworks painting the night sky in a dazzling array of colors, a moment both inevitable and unforeseen unfolded. Among the throngs of revelers, two paths converged – those of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Commander Cody. It had been a year since their last meeting, a year filled with unspoken words and unresolved feelings.
Obi-Wan, who had been engaged in light conversation with Bail and the others, felt a sudden shift in the Force, an intuitive nudge that caused him to turn. His eyes met Cody's from across the crowded space. Time seemed to slow as their gazes locked, each man momentarily caught in a tableau of uncertainty and recognition.
For Obi-Wan, seeing Cody again was like glimpsing a part of himself that he had thought lost. The familiarity of Cody's presence, the subtle strength in his stance, all brought a rush of emotions that Obi-Wan had tried to bury. His heart quickened, a mix of joy and apprehension swirling within. He remembered their last conversation, the unsaid words hanging between them, and wondered if Cody still felt the rift that had grown in their absence.
Cody, standing with Rex and his brothers, felt a jolt of surprise that quickly morphed into a complex tapestry of emotions. Seeing Obi-Wan after all this time reignited feelings he had struggled to suppress. There was warmth there, a flicker of the deep bond they once shared, but also a hesitancy, a fear of the unknown that lay between them. Cody's mind raced with questions and doubts. Had Obi-Wan moved on? Did he still remember their time together with the same bittersweet longing that Cody did?
The space between them was crowded, filled with festival-goers, yet in that moment, it felt as though they were the only two people present. The noise of the celebration faded into a distant hum, secondary to the silent conversation happening between their eyes.
Bail, noticing the exchange, leaned in toward Obi-Wan, his voice low. "Go to him, Obi-Wan. It's time."
Obi-Wan nodded, a sense of resolve steadying his nerves. He excused himself from the group and began making his way through the crowd towards Cody. With each step, memories flooded back – battles fought side by side, quiet moments shared, and the unspoken understanding that had always connected them.
Cody, meanwhile, remained rooted to the spot, his heart pounding in his chest. Rex, perceptive as ever, gave him a gentle push. "This is your chance, Cody. Don't let it slip away."
As Obi-Wan approached, Cody's defenses began to crumble. The man standing before him was not just a Jedi Master, but Obi-Wan – his general, his friend, someone he had cared for more deeply than he had ever admitted.
"Obi-Wan," Cody said, his voice barely above a whisper, betraying a vulnerability rarely shown.
"Commander," Obi-Wan replied, a warmth in his voice that reached Cody's very core.
They stood there, amidst the celebration, their shared history and unspoken feelings enveloping them. It was a moment of truth, of risks to be taken and words to be spoken. The Festival of Stars continued around them, a backdrop to a reunion that held the promise of healing and the potential for new beginnings.
As Obi-Wan Kenobi and Commander Cody stood amidst the festive ambiance of the Festival of Stars, the initial euphoria of their reunion gave way to an awkward silence. The jubilant cheers and music of the celebration around them seemed to fade into the background, leaving them enveloped in their own world of complex emotions and unspoken thoughts.
Obi-Wan, usually so articulate and composed, found himself at a loss for words. The sight of Cody, so familiar yet so distant after all this time, brought a flood of emotions that he struggled to articulate. He felt a mix of joy at seeing Cody again, anxiety over the uncertainty of where they stood, and an underlying fear of reigniting old wounds. His heart raced with a combination of hope and apprehension, his mind racing with questions about what Cody thought and felt.
Cody, on the other hand, felt a surge of nervous energy. Standing in front of Obi-Wan, the memories of their time together during the war came rushing back. He remembered the trust, the camaraderie, and the unspoken bond they had shared. But now, there was also a sense of vulnerability, a fear of the unknown that lay ahead. He was acutely aware of the weight of the moment, the potential to mend bridges or widen the chasm between them.
As they both hesitated, the air between them charged with a myriad of emotions, Obi-Wan finally broke the silence. "Cody, I... I wasn't sure if we'd ever have this chance," he said, his voice tinged with a vulnerability rarely shown.
Cody looked into Obi-Wan's eyes, seeing the sincerity and the same uncertainty that mirrored his own. "I wasn't sure either, General. I've wanted to reach out, but I didn't know how you... how we left things."
Their conversation was hesitant, each word measured and careful, as they navigated the delicate terrain of their reunion. Obi-Wan's expression softened as he listened to Cody, a sense of understanding dawning on him. "We both left things unsaid, Cody. There were times during the war when I felt that you understood me better than anyone else. I missed that... I missed you."
Cody's gaze did not waver. "I felt the same, sir. You were more than just a commander to me. But after everything that happened, I wasn't sure if those feelings... if they were just a part of the war."
The honesty in their exchange was palpable, each admission laying bare the emotions they had kept hidden. They stood there, two veterans of a war that had shaped them in profound ways, now trying to navigate the complexities of a peace that seemed as daunting as any battlefield.
In that moment, amidst the lights and sounds of the festival, Obi-Wan and Cody began to bridge the gap that had formed between them. It was a tentative first step, fraught with uncertainty and the fear of the unknown, but also filled with the promise of healing and a deeper understanding of the bond they shared.
The Festival of Stars continued around them, a celebration of hope and renewal, mirroring their own journey towards reconciliation and the possibility of a new beginning.
Under the canopy of Alderaan’s night sky, vibrant with the Festival of Stars’ brilliance, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Commander Cody found themselves delving into the heart of their misunderstanding. The festive atmosphere around them, once a distant hum, now seemed to encapsulate their moment of reconciliation, lending it a sense of timelessness.
Obi-Wan, taking a deep breath, looked into Cody’s eyes with a sincerity that bore the weight of a year’s separation. “Cody, when you were elected as the leader for your brothers, I thought... I believed that was your way of choosing a new path, one that didn’t include...” His voice trailed off, the difficulty of voicing his assumptions evident in his demeanor.
Cody, listening intently, felt a surge of realization. The barriers that had kept them apart were built on misconceptions and unvoiced fears. “General, I never wanted to move away from you. Leading my brothers was something I had to do, but I always hoped... I thought you were the one who wanted to move on.”
The air between them was charged with the vulnerability of their admissions. Each revelation seemed to peel back layers of uncertainty that had clouded their judgment.
Obi-Wan’s expression turned pensive. “After the war, everything changed so quickly. I was trying to find my place in a galaxy that no longer needed a general. I distanced myself because I thought it was what you needed, to make your decision without... without my influence.”
Cody’s gaze softened, a mix of relief and regret passing through his eyes. “I never saw it that way. I thought you were giving me space to lead because you had your own path to follow, one that didn’t include me. I didn’t realize how much I wanted you to be a part of it until it seemed too late.”
The honesty of their exchange bridged the gap that had grown between them. In revealing their fears and misunderstandings, they discovered a shared longing, a mutual desire that had remained strong despite the passage of time and circumstance.
Obi-Wan reached out, placing a hand on Cody’s shoulder, an unspoken gesture of reconciliation. “Cody, I’ve always valued our bond. It was never just about the war for me. I want to be part of your life, your future, if that’s what you want too.”
Cody nodded, a sense of peace and understanding dawning within him. “It is, Obi-Wan. I’ve missed you more than I realized. I don’t want to lose what we had, what we could have.”
Around them, the festival continued its joyous celebration, but for Obi-Wan and Cody, the world had narrowed down to this heartfelt conversation. The misunderstandings that had kept them apart seemed trivial in the face of their renewed connection.
In the gentle embrace of the Alderaanian night, surrounded by the ethereal glow of starlights that adorned the Festival of Stars, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Commander Cody found themselves at the cusp of a profound moment. The revelry around them seemed to fade into a soft murmur, creating an intimate space where long-simmered feelings could finally surface.
Obi-Wan, his face illuminated by the subtle luminescence of the starlights, looked at Cody with a depth of emotion that he had seldom allowed himself to show. The vulnerability in his eyes was a stark contrast to the composed Jedi Master he was known to be. "Cody," he began, his voice barely above a whisper, "during the war, amidst all the chaos and uncertainty, I found something unwavering in you. A connection that went beyond duty or command. I... I felt something more, something deeper."
Cody, standing before Obi-Wan, felt a surge of emotions he had long suppressed. The confession, raw and sincere, echoed his own unacknowledged feelings. "Obi-Wan, I've always had immense respect for you, you know that. But it was more than just respect. Even amidst the battles, there was a sense of... of completeness when we were together. I didn't fully understand it then, but it was there, a feeling I couldn't just set aside."
Their admissions hung in the air, a tangible testament to the depth of their bond, a bond that had silently grown amidst the backdrop of war. The realization of their mutual feelings brought a sense of clarity, as if a fog had lifted, revealing a path they had been hesitant to tread.
Obi-Wan reached out, his hand tentatively finding Cody's. The contact was electric, a physical manifestation of their emotional connection. "Cody, I've often thought about those days, about us. But I never knew if you felt the same. I was afraid that bringing it up would... would change things between us."
Cody clasped Obi-Wan's hand, a gesture that conveyed more than words ever could. "Obi-Wan, it did change things, but not in the way you might think. It made me realize how important you are to me, how much I've missed you."
In that moment, under the soft glow of the starlights, they stood together, two souls connected by a bond that had withstood the trials of war and the passage of time. The festival around them continued its celebration of light and life, but for Obi-Wan and Cody, the true celebration was the acknowledgment of their feelings, the unspoken love that had finally found its voice.
