about the movie itself i'm still mad that they made d-16 a stickler for rules who was fine with putting his head down + not challenging his oppressors so that it was "selfish" at the end when he was the one who fought back with violence bc of the personal betrayal he went through at sentinel prime being evil. i mean at least in idw megs was the one who was always advocating for real change, even when he was trying to be "peaceful" about it, while coptimus was like "if we just talk to our reps it'll work out :) voting will save us :)"

George Nader was born in Pasadena, California, and earned a degree at the nearby Occidental College. He joined the Navy in 1943. After completing his tour of duty, Nader returned to Pasadena and began acting on stage at the Pasadena Playhouse. In 1947, he met Mark Miller, who would become his life partner.

Nader was ruggedly good-looking, and you can find many shirtless pictures of him online. As a homosexual in Hollywood, he needed to be discreet about his relationship with Miller. While the studios made him go on “dates” with actresses, he never feigned a long-term relationship with any of them.

“We lived in fear of an exposé or a veiled suggestion that someone was homosexual. Such a remark would have caused an earthquake at the studio. Every month, when Confidential came out, our stomachs began to turn. Which of us would be it?”

Nader’s most famous role was in “Robot Monster” (1953), a low-budget sci-fi movie featuring a man in a gorilla suit with a fishbowl with antennas on its head. It’s been called one of the worst movies in Hollywood history, but it was successful at the box office.

Soon, Nader was cast in films at Universal Studios, where he met Rock Hudson. Nader, Miller, and Hudson would become long-lasting friends. Like other gay men, they created their own “family” for love and support.

In 1955, Nader won a Golden Globe Award for "Most Promising Newcomer". Unfortunately, that didn’t develop into Hollywood stardom. Nader was relegated to mostly B Pictures and supporting roles, and on television.

In the late 1950s, Nader decided to try his luck in Europe. In 1958, he was cast in the leading role in British film “Nowhere to Go”. His costar was Maggie Smith in her first movie.

Nader was next cast as the “German James Bond” as FBI agent Jerry Cotton in a series of 8 films shot in West Germany.

Nader returned to the US in the 1970s, but injured an eye in an auto accident. He developed an extreme sensitivity to bright lights, which made working on a studio set impossible. Facing retirement from acting, Nader tried his hand at writing novels. His most successful book is “Chrome” - a science-fiction novel about a man and his robot in a sexual relationship.

It was around this time that Rock Hudson hired Mark Miller to become his personal secretary. Therefore, Nader and Miller were Hudson’s support system when he was diagnosed with AIDS. When Hudson died, he bequeathed the interest from his $27 million estate to the couple.

After the traumatic events of Rock Hudson’s final days, Nader and Miller issued a press release coming out as gay to the public. Nader died of natural causes in 2002. He and Miller had been together for 55 years. Mark Miller passed in June of 2015.

Note: after several searches I could not find any photos of George Nader with Mark Miller. Also Miller should not be confused with actor with the same name. The photo below is from a 2010 documentary where Miller was interviewed about Hudson’s life.

HCH news?

I guess I can give news and updates to the tumblr branch of the hch fandom for those who are wondering how Momo's doing and such since Momo has been updating on her patreon since August about HCH updates [and Pandora's Devils but there hasn't been any PD updates other than that it Will return]

I won't show any art, obviously, but I can describe things

In August, Momo shared some ideas for a new character's design, and a few days after that, she shared a whole line of new season 2 characters ^^

In September, she shared a personal drawing

In October, she shared a picture that has sketches of the main six HCH characters doing different expressions for expression practice! Each drawing has some text underneath saying stuff about the character that gives the same vibes as a 'tag yourself' meme

No updates in November

3 days ago Momo updated Twice!! The first post is another personal thing but this time it's two doodles of two fellas, an alien and a robot The second post is a redraw of an older Patreon drawing from 2021 of August and Sapphia as Light Yagami and whatever the lady's name is from Death Note [the original drawing has Luna as Ryuk but she's not present in the redraw]

TODAY she updated again with three screenshots of sketches from season 2!! All of which are of August having several crises <3

That's all the updates so far in case any of my HCH friends/mutuals and other HCH fans want to know how everything's going, since Momo's been mostly silent on Webtoon and Instagram

I don't know if it's a good idea to describe the drawings and posts, so if Momo herself wants this taken down or have the descriptions more vague, I'll comply ^^ If you can, please consider supporting Momozerii on Patreon! Of course, no pressure, it's your money :]

some bonus snippets of moon without as much coverage just so u get an idea of what he looks like. AND a doodle of what his hands look like under the gloves. “Scarring” (or just scratches on the casing is very relevant story wise you’ll see, eventually.)

some extra design notes below…

Moon is not wearing a “proper” vest underneath, it’s just another shirt he had with the sleeves cut off. The vests are for extra warmth and seen as easier to work with given the setting and kind of work done. The basic idea was that whatever the hell he’s doing with it is cheaper than actually buying one

belts were made as a subtle attempt to reflect their opposite of anyone noticed them… if you’re reading this them clearly you do NOW

decided to not draw sun with his gun this time because I imagine it’s not… as important to his character… (totally didn’t forget guys trust) -was planning on making a SEPARATE ref for those anyways though. BUT WHAT I SAID FIRST STILL STANDS

scarring is very important, won’t straight up point out EVERY reason but I will say once again, very important, but when the fic is out you’ll eventually get to see why. Sun’s scratches are all surface level damage. it may be hard to tell on the doodle but a lot of Moon’s are a lot deeper than just simple scratches you get from regular wear and tear…
