James Hook does NOT know how to produce straight children I stg
CJ? huge lesbian, Freddie’s been her gf
Harry? flirts with anyone and everyone on two legs. kissed Gil and gets jealous when he bonds with Jay, falling over his feet for Uma, literally goes for one girl after the next at the end of D3. he is fighting for his life in the Biggest Simp competition against Chad Charming and his uncle Morgie and is somehow still winning (and they have literally barked 🙄)
Harriet??? oh lord is she a girlkisser. I will fully buy that she’s bi, but she kisses women
and if you’re a Hook kid! Red advocate, boom, glassheart.
no one in this family is beating the gay allegations

(Kicks the door down and takes a deep breath) WAIT they don’t live like I love you!
In all seriousness though, apparently in one of the descendants wiki (although I am skeptical cuz wikis can be changed), it says that Hook eventually conquered his fear over the crocodile and even stuck his head in its jaws for Evie’s bday(?)
But then that got me thinking, this guy has been terrified of the crocodile, so how does he get over this fear? My answer: father’s love.
That crocodile is always after Hook (even going as far to the isle, unbelievable, captain can’t catch a break) but then it catches eye of them lil Hookling codfishes. Little appetizers. Yummy!
Typical little pirates off to explore away from the Captain’s eye despite being told to stay put (probably managed to lose Smee along the way as well) and found themselves in danger!
It’s one thing if that beast went after him, but it’s another thing if it goes after his children! The children who are the last thing he has of Bridget! He’s lost her, but he isn’t going to lose them! He’s already lost Bridget thanks to that “Beast King”, Hook ain’t going to lose his children to that damn Tik Tok Croc! After one crazy fight, Captain Hook’s gotten over his fear of the crocodile (for the moment, it’ll be a process to get over that fear) and his kids excitedly going on about their brave dad!
The kids are probably a little scared of the crocodile themselves after that incident. ‘Twas a frightful encounter and certainly ain’t complaining (well some complaint about the child leashes) when they’re told to stay in the ship for a while.
.....this. Is. Awesome! :D Yeah, it never quite made sense to me that the books (not just the wiki's so this is true info) said that Hook was willing to put his one remaining hand/head in Tic Tok's mouth for Evie’s sake. (a child that isn't even Hook's btw, so why would he do that? Or even like her for that matter?)
But the way you've put it makes so much sense! The only way Captain Hook was going to get over his crocodile fear, was if it finally crossed that one line he wouldn't tolerate...going after Hook's kids.
As said, Tick Tok messing with him is one thing...but his kids? BRIDGET'S kids? Ooooh, it is ON between Hook and that Croc! He probably messed the animal up so badly, Tick Tok 'retired' to a little pool in the cove and never came out again!
Hook: "Keep. Your. Teeth. AWAY from MY KIDS, you blasted reptile! UNDERSTAND?!"
Thanks for the ask! :D

Morgie is half siren/mermaid
... okay full disclosure I only created this hc because I want all the Hooklings to be able to sing but hear me out
Morgana would want her child to be as powerful as possible so obviously she would be very careful with who she chose to father her son
And a powerful mythical being able to control people with just their voice? Yeah you could do much worse
As for how Morgie was conceived.... Morgana was one of the most powerful sorcerers of her time... she'd figure out how to make it happen
Then when the deed was done she either killed Morgie's father or just never told him she was having a kid
Okay so as to how this affects Morgie and his kids-
Morgie can breathe underwater as well as scales appearing all over his body whenever he's underwater. He does not however get a tail unless his siren side is somehow boosted
He can hypnotise people with his voice and when the kids where small he would use this power to put them to sleep when needed, he doesn't use it that much now though
The Hooklings can hold their breathe much longer than the average person but not breathe under it and they get less scales than their dad
They can't hypnotise people with their singing either but all three have a very wide vocal range and can hold a tune for a long time
All three of them fully uses these abilities to fucking crush it whenever they're in a situation where singing is an option

Thinking about how Bridget would be determined to let her kids have an innocent childhood. Becuse it was something she never really got. (I use Iracebeth the Red Queen from 2010 Alice in Wonderland as Bridget's mother, so you can guess how that childhood went for her.)
And then for her to out that her kids lost their innocence anyway becuse they were sent to the Isle. When they didn't do anything...it would almost send her over the edge again...
We have the same idea for Bridget's mom!
The saddest part is that while she couldn't do anything to stop it from happening to her eldest children after they were taken, the cycle of abuse, unfortunately, continued because of what she made Red's childhood and later her teens into.
Even though it was her way of "toughening," Red up it doesn't excuse it, and I'm sure after them all being reunited and then hearing what her older kids went through on the Isle it would cause her to really think about the pain that she caused her youngest child even if she saw it as her only option and way to protect her at the time. After all, she'd lived through the same thing with her own mother.
And, that is my very long-winded way of saying that I agree that hearing about the childhoods that she missed would almost definitely bring her to the edge, especially because it would force her to confront the fact that she forced, through not exactly the same thing, but still close onto Red.
I think hearing some of the good parts like Harry becoming best friends with Uma and Gil, Harriet becoming the Captain of her own ship and crew, and all of the chaos and near heart attacks that CJ caused, would start to help her; she definitely still wants to kill Beast though.

Hook Family Christmas
Back when Hook's wife was alive, they had a tradition where Hook would dress up as Santa and leave presents under the tree and go to the Hooklings' rooms (since all 3 shared the same room back then, cz the Jolly Roger had too many crew members) and leave footprints, where his wife would springkle fake snow to leave a trail,
And one time, CJ was waiting for santa, flashlight clutched with one hand and her stuffed animal on the other, and she saw Hook kiss her mom, and she turned the flashlight on and screamed, "Mom's kissing santa!!"
And that's how the Hooklings found out santa wasn't real ☹️

In a universe where Hazel exists, how do she and Hannah get along?
Hannah Hook and Hazel Hook get along somewhat well.
Hannah Hook takes on the role of big sister quite well: giving her advice when asked, helping her out on the hard levels of games, teaching her how to improvise during a fight, etc.
She babysits her. Plays games with her. Helps her with homework and will occasionally help her make food in the middle of the night or early in the morning whenever the younger girl wakes her up because she's hungry and no one else is around to help her.
The two of them still argue, don't get me wrong. But it's nowhere near as bad as it can be between Hannah and CJ.
Hannah is also always sure to make sure Hazel knows she's proud of her and to compliment, because she knows the adults around them don't always say it and that they can be hard on her.
Hazel, while thinking Hannah is a bit of a dork, admittedly looks up to the older girl a decent amount: how can she not? The pirate captain has one of the largest crews on the isle (even if it's filled with children) and she's good at improvising and sword fighting.
She has better luck of getting in and out of trouble than their other siblings tend to and Hannah is always willing to lend a hand when Hazel needs it.
Hannah hates seeing Hazel sad and does what she can to cheer her up when she is. She hates when she's sad: hates seeing her angry or in pain. She can't stand it.
The brunette wants her sister to be happy, to feel fulfilled, and to be safe. She can be a bit of a 'bad influence' by Auradon standards because of this but it's not like Hannah really cares what any of them think.
Hazel, Hort, Hope, and Hookling (her younger siblings) matter more.
Her youngest crewmates matter more.
Being a big sister and leader comes first before any of the hero bullshit.
That's just how it is between the two of them.

Hazel Hook, Hort Hook, Hookling Hook, and Hope Hook *surrounding Hannah like this as she tries to beat the latest level of swarm for them*
Tumblr media
Joy Foxworth: Should we tell Hannah that Hazel kid hasn't always been in her family or...?
Zoe Snoops, slurping her chocolate and seaweed milkshake: No. She'll figure it out eventually.
Tiger Khan: Consider it her punishment for taking in more kids than she can keep track of her.
Clever Athanasiou-Facilier: Usually I'd argue but that's fair.
Tommy Wonderful: That seems a bit mean but also that's fair.
Dragon Eyes: She'll realize in a week or so. Guaranteed.
Amira, daughter of Jasladdin: I'm not so sure about that.
*Two Months Later at 3 AM*
Hannah *kicks door to the crew barracks open* WHERE THE FUCK DID HAZEL COME FROM?
ha! xd

descendants parent hc hookling addition 🗣️
ladies and gentlemen, Captain Harriet Hook!
Tumblr media
for those ouat fans ;) Harriet’s mother isn’t exactly Emma Swan, but is a lot like her. Hook considers her one of his few true loves in life. She dies in childbirth because we can’t have anything nice on the Isle and Harriet’s gotta practically raise her siblings :(
HARRY 🗣️
Tumblr media
okay… so realistically, I think Harry was from a hookup and was kinda just left on Hook’s doorstep. they actually don’t know who his mother is
BUT Harry’s got that manic behaviour that is very AIW! Queen of Hearts. …boy’s got his mama’s mental illness /hj
the underrated baby of the family, CJ Hook 🙏
Tumblr media
Lieutenant Helga Katrina Sinclair from Atlantis is CJ’s mother! She and Hook had a bit of a rivals with benefits situation (they cannot stand each other fr 😭), and CJ is also kinda dumped on his doorstep when the whole affair ends
CJ is extremely adventurous by nature, loves swinging in to make a grand entrance, it makes sense to me that both her parents would be adventurers!
the lesson here is that James Hook has a terrible track record with keeping women around 😭 shoutout to Morgie for being a really good uncle and practically raising Harriet

Since 2010 Iracebeth is Bridget's mother, do you think that the 2010 movie would be the Descendants canon for Alice In Wonderland, or do you think that it's a mix of the 2010 and the 1951 Disney movie and Bridget was the QoH when Alice was in Wonderland?
Side note: Since Bridget is technically a VK herself going purely by who her mother is, do you think the Hooklings would brag about being second-generation VKs when they're on the Isle? Maybe when Isle kids are having a "who's badder" type of argument.
I think it would be a mix :) characters like the Mad Hatter would be from 2010, but others like the Cheshire cat and march hare would be the original 1951 version. Yeah I'd say Bridget would have to be Alice's QoH's because otherwise what's her rap sheet for Auradon to dislike her?
...on the one hand I sort of hc that the Hooklings don't really talk about their mother outside of those who already know (their dad Smee Uma Hades etc) but on the OTHER... them being able to 'one up' the other VK's with "Well I'm a second generation VK so you should bow to me!" is pretty cool! XD
Thanks for the ask :D

This beautiful young man
Tumblr media
His middle name is fricking Bartholomew-
I’d rather Bertha than Bartholomew. Oh my gosh, justice for Hook😭
(New headcanon that all the Hooklings’ middle names start with B or at least CJ’s does because she has Hook’s initials)

So when the hooklings were small James would tell them stories of Peter Pan without bothering to keep it kid-friendly, as in: He showed them his stump and told them the twat cut it off and how his brother died
Needless to say all three kids where horrified, they were eight, six and four when this happened
Morgie was less than pleased with his husband when both of them were woken up at 3AM one night by a terrified little Harry thinking he saw Peter Pan outside his window that was going to take him away from his parents
His sisters weren't much better either with Harriet setting up sleeping schedules for herself and her siblings to ensure at least one of them would always be awake and able to get their parents in case Peter Pan came
CJ, at the ripe old age of four tried to pull a few all nighters to make sure Peter Pan wouldn't take her in her sleep which never worked for her (as in she fell asleep, Peter didn't take her)
Eventually as the kids grew up they grew out of their fear of Peter Pan but all three are ready to cut his head off if he ever comes near
