Yohaji Character Survey 2024
With the release of the anime and the end of cour 1, I figured I'd do the character survey again! You can see last time's results here, which was in Oct 2022
I'll tally the results in about 2 weeks, before cour 2 starts (Jan 7), but the form will still stay open after that
Since last time, over 2 years ago, this blog's gone from around 100 followers to 600+, and I've made a twitter (which now has more followers than this blog. u guys r still my fave tho <3) so I wanna see if I can get a bigger sample size
Some funny numbers under the cut if you like numbers too
The 2022 poll had 22 responses at the time I tallied the results, but I never closed it and it now has 32 responses
Of which, the most recent responses are from.... THIS MONTH????? WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE WHERE DID U COME FROM
Tumblr media
Takahashi stan who answered this month i respect u so much. me too same tbh
Tumblr media
I don't actually remember how many followers I had at that point, the only milestone I know is 300 because I made this post. I was going to make this same joke for twitter too when i hit 300 there but it jumped from like 300 to 600 in like 2 weeks and I missed my chance lol
But anyway I think it was around 100 because at the time I tallied the results I remember thinking "hey 1/5 of my followers responded! pretty nice ratio!"
Some kinda irrelevant stats: Because I set up google SEO for the wiki, I get to see search trends and stats for it and yohaji in general!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Impressions (purple) is "how many people see the wiki in their google search results", which roughly equals "how many people are searching yohaji-related keywords" because the wiki is almost always on the first page of results anyway
Clicks (blue) is "how many people clicked on the link to the wiki in google search", or rather "how many people clicked on the miraheze wiki over the fandom one, either because google put it above or ppl already knew its the active one"
(Don't actually know what's going on on the fandom wiki nowadays, I don't check on it regularly, and a few weeks ago fandom staff revoked my admin and removed all the links to the miraheze wiki when they haven't cared for most of the year, presumably because the anime is driving up viewcounts for the fandom wiki too)
So sort of unexpectedly, it's actually trending upwards week by week!
For the spike on Nov 26, I have to assume that's because of one of those tiktoks that blowed up
The most searched character (that brought them to the wiki, at least) after Haruaki is..... RANMARU?????
Tumblr media
After that, it's Ebisu, Miki, Sano and Oota, in that order, all roughly tied in clicks. Massive spike for Ebisu last week and then this week of course
Tumblr media
For a long while pre-anime, 2 of the top queries that showed the wiki were Seiryuu and Suzaku, probably because they snuck into searches for those names from other anime lmao

3 (#LSA2025) papers about trans linguistics
There were so many talks and papers about trans linguistics at the 2025 annual meeting!
A trans linguistic perspective on multiple pronoun use in English, Joshua Raclaw. Keywords: queer linguistics, trans linguistics, pronouns, gender, indexicality, English
Transphobic legislation and the linguist: The case of Florida’s Subsection 3, Lal Zimman. Keywords: language and law, transgender language, censorship, transphobic language, language in schools, linguistic advocacy
Learning new neopronouns or task adaptation? Pike-Acosta, Seo, Wen, Verdonk, and Conrod. Keywords: neopronouns, pronouns, task adaptation, acceptability, metalinguistic commentary
Common themes between these papers: they're all about English in the US American context, and they're all about how people talk about language used by/for/about trans people - all metalinguistics stuff from different perspectives.
Raclaw's paper is about how trans people talk about using multiple pronouns; Zimman's paper is about how the the US legal system understands (or doesn't understand) the concept of pronouns and how it's informed by transphobic rhetoric; Pike-Acosta et al.'s paper is about how English speakers talk and think about neopronouns in English.
I think these would be super fun to read all in a row for a book club, honestly!

I don't know if it's just me but I noticed some therapists seem to keyword stuff in their bios on their website/the clinic website for SEO purposes. Like they'll say they have experience or understanding of a specific issue I want help with in their bio and I get my hopes up. So I book an appointment but it's so obvious from talking to them that they don't actually understand the first thing about that issue, because someone with any basic understanding or knowledge would never make half the ignorant statements they did.
If I push back and say they don't understand or that their advice isn't helpful or applicable for me, they act like I'm non compliant. When really, I just feel like I'm being scammed because they want to attract as many clients as possible and am trying to protect myself from further harm because their suggestions are that ridiculous.
How is it right to suggest someone doesn't want to get better when they're the one who sought out the therapist in the first place and is paying for it? Just because patients don't have the same qualifications as mental health professionals, doesn't mean they're always right.
A good therapist would recognize their out of their depth and refer out, not accuse patients of being non compliant for advocating for themselves.
It's not something anyone can prove or enforce which is why it's so sinister.
No but it truly is sinister how the system is built on the notion that the therapist knows more about you/your needs than you do yourself. The fact that it requires an especially good and sensitive therapist for a patients ability to say "that isn't true for me" in response to the therapists assumptions to be portrayed as anything but lack of insight and non-compliance IS scary

Tumblr and other blog spaces
Seeing a few people on my dashboard worried about Tumblr's future. I'm thinking about making a small Blogger tutorial on how to use it at a later time. Till then, here's a tidbit of what I know from using Blogger since 2010.
Blogger is free, requires a Google account, but it is old as fuck.
My Blogger page: Sketching with Reckless Abandon
Blogger is very archaic, like there is no easy way to find other blogs except through some random search engine. Formatting on Blogger's post editor is not great. Images sometimes break or glitch and sometimes delete paragraphs. Also, labels on Blogger are not the same as tags on Tumblr: they are only for your blog's organization. Sometimes search engines can use your labels for their results but I'm not sure how well that works in today's internet.
Blogger's dev blog was last updated in 2020, so I'm not even sure if there's any support for future updates. Blogger still works, lol.
Blogger's dashboard is the Reading List and is out of the way of your main page of Blogger, which usually shows your entire history of your blog posts. The Reading List shows a list of blogs you follow, their posts shortened for compact display. To follow other blogs based on Blogger: first you need to find a blog (either .blogspot or .blogger), then paste the home url in your Reader List > Manage > Mangage Blogs I'm Following page. Use this page to unfollow blogs.
Old as fuck website aside, Blogger is good for Artists (if you use a blog template that favors your images) and Writers (Blogger is a long form blogging website like Tumblr, though in theory I don't think Blogger has a post cap). It is possible to use Blogger as an archive, provided you keep things organized and up to date. Like with some templates on Tumblr, you can use some templates on Blogger to make your blog into a webpage or portfolio site. Setup is a little finicky, though.
Use labels to organize your blog, don't use labels as tags or talk in tags - this will mess up your blog's organization and will be hell to clean up. I suggest not to use it as a micro-blogging platform. Small posts within a short amount of time will flood Reader Lists.
You do not have to worry (somewhat) about awkward censorship there, but still follow Blogger's TOS. 18+ art and content must have Adult Content enabled in settings. If you are an 18+ creator, I suggest reading the Community Guidelines before making a blog on Blogger.
Moderation on these blogs are extremely basic. Like, you just have some basic moderation on your comments. You can hide comments on individual posts.
Also, it's possible Blogger might break a few posts. It's rare, but it would explain why my earliest posts from 2010-2013 don't have me as the author. I can still edit them, but can't change author. It might be because I had a Google+ account back then before Google deprecated it. Anyway, today Blogger uses my main Google account as the author of my recent posts.
There is no way to share posts easily, except copying other posts and linking them in your blog post (talk about it, so it's not just a link). To interact with others, just comment (if available) under blog posts. Make sure your comment is set to public (either your google acc or name with url). If you want to comment anonymously, you can do that as well.
Blogger's biggest pro is its Stats page. It shows you how many views you got for your blog and your posts, and it also shows detailed information on what keywords/labels that helped bring views to your blog. Might want to get used to using SEO techniques.
You can monetize the blog with Google Adsense, but you might need to find an updated way to get it started - I never set mine up and I'm not sure if that still works for this site.
That's it for right now.

Ok, wow, this is NOT the type of ask you seem to get usually, but this appears to be my best option...
I'm seeking out a post that is not particularly fandom-y in nature, but I was reminded of it after reading the earlier anon who was burned out from AI discourse - I totally feel the same way, and there was a really great lengthy textpost I reblogged a few months ago (read: "I read it any time from, like, April 2024 to almost a year ago......sorry") that I cannot find on my blog nor on tumblr in general - either because the post has been completely nuked from the internet OR because I'm just bad at SEO searches and remembering the keywords that were actually IN the post. I'm hoping it's a me issue or, if the post IS nuked, at the very least someone here remembers it and has an internet archive link or screenshot or something????
to get to the point, there was a post that was like (paraphrased, quote marks are not literal quotes):
"When it comes to the anti-AI crowd on tumblr, there's basically two schools of thought: people who completely hate AI and everything about it and are opposed to all forms of AI without even learning what AI really is. These people are stuck in their ways and generally can't be reasoned with.
Then there's a second group who are against AI for pretty good reasons - they really are worried that AI is gonna completely take over and steal artists' livelihoods, those who criticize it for environmental activist reasons, etc. These people generally can be reasoned with as they're truly misinformed, and in fact they would be - or already are - receptive to a less harmful AI."
The post then went on to compare AI to other forms of automation and made some really great parallels; such as bringing up the fact that stores that have both self checkout AND cashiers tend to be the best business models, because people who have their preferences can choose how they want to shop, AND we can utilize automated checkouts without completely getting rid of cashiers, which is obviously good for a lot of reasons.
It also debunked a lot of common fearmonger-y arguments against AI, i.e. explaining what "training AI" really entails, with some general copyright-critical philosophy in general. (I don't know the actual, like, political term, if one even exists, but basically they were talking about flaws with "intellectual property" as a concept - or at least how IP works today and why it works the way it does.)
There was also a really good addition to the OP's thoughts that I liked, with another user talking about: Essentially people who are gonna use AI would likely have done something else sketchy anyway, even if AI as it stands today didn't exist. For example, chatGPT isn't to blame for plagiarism. The people who use chatGPT to do their homework would, in an earlier time, likely go on Chegg / pay someone to write an essay / reuse their old work / etc. Likewise, the people who tell open AI to make artwork for them likely wouldn't make (or try to make) their own artwork anyway, nor would they even commission someone. They talked about how since fandom is so damn divided on the topic of AI, that the artists who DO feel as if their commissions are being taken away from them, or the writers who DO fear AI taking over fanfic.......well, to put it nicely, those people likely wouldn't really be losing many fans in the first place. You didn't lose a commission to AI - that person never would've commissioned you in the first place, and the people that do commission you hate AI as much as you do. You're not losing readers to AI - people who choose AI fics over yours are likely already the impatient type who can't handle waiting more than a week for an update, so they just make AI feed them 10k in one sitting! And the people who DO comment and read on your stuff, also hate AI!
I definitely did not agree with every single point made on the post (ie i dont think the self checkout metaphor was a great direct parallel logistically, but I def picked up what they were trying to put out and overall agreed with the general sentiment), overall it made a lot of really, really, really good points about the AI debate that I'd truly never considered before.
I know I've damn near rewritten the whole post myself now at this point but I also know there's a lot of stuff that I'm missing or that I just can't word and I'd love to know if anyone else has seen this post or has it on their blog in some capacity.

Is it AI Copy or a Tired Writer Trying Their Best? A Look Backstage in Copywriting
(For those unaware, copy in this context is used to describe the informational writing on a website)
So for a while now I've seen people online point at certain web copy and claim that it's clearly generated by AI. In many cases I disagree. People against generative AI will claim the tells are easy. People for generative AI will often say the same thing, right before selling guides on editing the obvious tells out of your generative text to slip under the radar.
I don't have the most authority on the topic, but I've been in technical writing for about six years. I've worked as a by-the-assignment ghostwriter and a salaried copywriter. So I think I have enough backing to say that I don't think it's possible to catch AI writing. I think it's possible to perceive sloppy writing, manipulative writing, almost incoherent writing. But a lot of that has existed before the sudden surge in large language models, thanks to the way many companies in the industry direct their writers to work.
Want a behind-the-curtain look at what goes into a lot of the copy you read online? Follow me!
Tumblr media
See this? This is a keyword ranking off SEOSpyGlass for a popular house cleaner service in Portland. I am not the best person to talk about Search Engine Optimization. In my defense, I believe that's because SEO changes constantly - first based on the whims of what Google would value most, which has now gotten even more convoluted as other search engines creep into more prominent use.
This ranking above shows the most common search terms that resulted in someone clicking on a certain link (In this case, MollyMaid - or the specific page that "ranks" high enough in search results).
Pretty much every copy-writing company I've ever worked for would give me a list of "relevant search terms" for an assignment, and part of my job was to fit them into the copy I created. Looking at some of these terms, you might see that a lot of them aren't easily fit into writing in a way that feels normal to read on a website. The "[SOMETHING] near me" is probably one of the most popular search terms in pretty much every industry. In my opinion it's also the clumsiest to work with as a writer.
Tumblr media
It's actually very funny to see this. You see that phrasing at the start? Hey did you search this specific phrase? Cool! Use us for that. That is essentially the exact format I would use whenever I had to fit in any variant of that keyphrase. It doesn't feel great. If Google ever loses interest in longer, conversational keyphrases, a lot of copy will be outdated and pointlessly clunky.
The emphasis on keywords and word count in general is the true culprit behind a majority of web copy that reads as if the website you're on is having an nervous breakdown. I've been in many situations where I've had to pad out assignments for no reason, because even though I expressed all the information that needed to be expressed, I was short of the word count given ahead of time. I imagine based on the latest change to Google's algorithm, this might slowly become less of a sticking point. They seem to claim that value is now in writing like a human being, and that's harder to do if you have to circle the same points again and again just to kill time.
It's kind of interesting isn't it? I'm gradually edging into freelance copy-writing work - which is cool, because it hopefully means I can choose how deep into SEO I decide to work in. Despite my complaints, I really enjoy the technical writing aspect, especially for a client I want to help.
I just had to get all this out there, because before I found SEOSpyglass I tried to use Semrush and was immediately like haha holy shit I remember this.

Step-by-Step Digital Marketing Plan for Startups in India.
Tumblr media
Introduction:
Starting a new business in India is exciting—but let’s be honest, it’s also challenging. You’ve got a great idea, maybe even a small team, and a big dream to grow fast. But how will people know about your startup? How will you reach your first 100 or 1,000 customers?
That’s where digital marketing comes in.
In today’s world, having a good product or service isn’t enough. You need to show up where your customers are—and that’s online. Whether they’re scrolling Instagram, searching on Google, or reading blogs, your audience is just a click away.
A step-by-step digital marketing plan helps you do just that. It gives you a clear roadmap to build your online presence, attract the right people, and grow your business—without wasting time or money.
This guide is made especially for Indian startups. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to improve your marketing, you’ll find practical steps that are easy to follow, even if you’re not a tech expert.
Step 1: Define Your Business Goals and Target Audience
Before you jump into ads or social media, take a moment to ask yourself: What do I want to achieve? And more importantly, who am I trying to reach?
Every successful digital marketing plan starts with clear goals. Are you looking to:
Get your first 100 customers?
Build brand awareness?
Drive more people to your website?
Generate leads or phone calls?
Once your goals are clear, the next step is to understand your target audience. Think about:
Who are your ideal customers? (Age, location, job, interests)
What problems do they face that your startup solves?
Where do they spend time online—Google, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn?
Let’s say you’re a startup offering online fitness coaching. Your target audience could be working professionals in their 20s and 30s who want to stay fit but don’t have time for the gym. That means your content should focus on quick home workouts, and you might promote it on Instagram or YouTube.
When you know your audience, you can speak their language, grab their attention, and offer real value.
Pro Tip: Create a simple “buyer persona” — a short profile of your ideal customer. Give them a name like “Fitness Riya” or “Startup Suresh” to make your marketing more focused and personal.
Step 2: Build a Professional Website
Your website is your digital home. It’s the first place many people will go when they hear about your startup—so make it count.
Even if you're active on Instagram or LinkedIn, your website gives you full control. It helps you:
Show who you are and what you offer
Build trust with customers
Collect leads and contact details
Rank on Google through SEO
Run ads and track performance
You don’t need a super fancy or expensive site to start. But it should be:
Mobile-friendly – Most users in India browse on their phones Fast-loading – If it’s slow, people will leave Clear and simple – Easy to read, easy to navigate SEO-ready – Use the right keywords, titles, and meta descriptions Call-to-action (CTA) buttons – Like “Contact Us”, “Book a Demo”, or “Buy Now”
Use platforms like WordPress, Wix, or Shopify (for eCommerce startups) if you want to do it yourself. Or better yet, work with a digital marketing agency in India that can handle both design and SEO from the start.
Pro Tip: Add trust signals—like testimonials, client logos, or reviews—to make people feel confident about choosing you.
Step 3: Set Up Essential Digital Marketing Channels
Now that your website is ready, it’s time to go where your audience hangs out online. There are so many digital platforms, but don’t try to be everywhere at once—focus on the channels that make sense for your startup.
Here are the most important ones for startups in India:
Google (SEO + Google Ads)
If people are actively searching for what you offer (like “best diet coach in Delhi” or “affordable CRM software”), Google is your best bet.
Use SEO to rank organically
Use Google Ads to appear instantly at the top
Facebook & Instagram
Great for visual brands, lifestyle products, and reaching the masses.
Run targeted ads by age, interest, location
Use Reels, Stories, and posts to build engagement
LinkedIn
Perfect for B2B startups and service-based businesses.
Connect with decision-makers
Share expert content, case studies, or company news
YouTube
Second biggest search engine in the world!
Create helpful videos, demos, or tutorials
Build trust and visibility over time
Email
Still one of the most effective ways to stay in touch.
Collect emails via your website
Send newsletters, updates, or offers
You don’t need to master all these platforms at once. Pick 1–2 channels that align with your audience and business goals, then grow from there.
Pro Tip: Keep your branding consistent across all platforms—same logo, colors, and messaging. It helps people recognize and remember you.
Step 4: Develop a Strong Content Strategy
You’ve got your website. You’ve set up your channels. Now it’s time to start talking to your audience—and that’s where content comes in.
Content is what builds trust, educates your audience, and keeps them coming back.Think of it as your way of saying: “Hey, we’re here to help—not just sell.”
Types of content that work well for startups:
Blog posts – Share tips, guides, or updates related to your industry
Videos – Product demos, customer testimonials, explainer videos
Infographics – Break down complex ideas into simple visuals
Case studies – Show how your product or service helped real customers
Social media posts – Quick tips, behind-the-scenes, or success stories
But here’s the key: don’t create random content. Create content that answers your audience’s questions and solves their problems.
For example: If you run a digital marketing startup, write blog posts like: “How to get your first 100 customers online” “Best free tools for small businesses in India” “Why SEO is a must for Indian startups”
And always include a Call-to-Action (CTA)—like “Book a Free Demo” or “Download Our Free Guide.”
Pro Tip: Use tools like ChatGPT, Ubersuggest, or AnswerThePublic to find what your audience is searching for. Then create helpful content around those topics.
Step 5: Start with SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
If you want your startup to show up on Google without paying for every click, SEO is your best friend.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) means setting up your website and content in a way that helps you rank higher in Google searches. So when someone types “best coworking space in Bangalore” or “affordable logo designer in India,” your business can appear right there on the first page.
And the best part? Once you rank, you get free traffic—24/7!
Here’s how to start with SEO:
Do Keyword Research
Find out what your audience is searching for. Use free tools like Google Keyword Planner, Ubersuggest, or AnswerThePublic. Example: If you sell vegan snacks, good keywords might be:
“Healthy snacks for office”
“Vegan chips India”
“Best protein snacks online”
On-Page SEO
This means optimizing your website pages for those keywords.
Use keywords naturally in your page titles, headings, and content
Add meta descriptions (the short summary in search results)
Use alt-text for images
Keep URLs short and clean (like /healthy-snacks)
Create Quality Content
Google loves useful, helpful content. So publish blogs, guides, or videos that answer your customer’s questions. More value = better chances of ranking.
Get Backlinks
A backlink is when another website links to yours. It’s like a vote of trust. Try:
Guest posting on industry blogs
Listing on directories
Getting mentioned by influencers or partners
Pro Tip: SEO takes time—think of it as a long-term investment. But once it starts working, it can bring in leads every single day without spending a rupee on ads.
Step 6: Launch Paid Advertising Campaigns
While SEO is great for long-term growth, paid ads are the fastest way to get results right now.
With paid ads, you can instantly show your product or service to your ideal customers—whether they’re searching on Google or scrolling through Instagram.
This is especially useful for Indian startups that want to:
Test a new product or idea
Get leads quickly
Boost sales during promotions
Grow brand awareness fast
🟢 Popular Paid Ad Platforms for Startups in India:
Google Ads
Great for showing up when someone searches for something specific like: “Best HR software for startups” or “Logo design service near me”
Types of Google Ads:
Search Ads (text-based ads in Google search)
Display Ads (banner ads on websites)
YouTube Ads (video ads before or during YouTube videos)
Facebook & Instagram Ads
Perfect for visual brands, eCommerce startups, or local services. You can target people based on age, location, interests, job titles, and more.
Great for:
Promoting offers
Getting app installs
Driving traffic to your website
LinkedIn Ads (for B2B startups)
If you’re targeting professionals, startups, or companies—LinkedIn ads can work wonders.
Promote:
Webinars
Case studies
B2B services (like SaaS, consulting, etc.)
Budget Tip for Startups:
You don’t need lakhs to start. Even ₹500–₹1000/day can bring solid results if your targeting is right and your message is clear.
Pro Tip: Start with small ad budgets. Test different messages, creatives, and audiences. Once you find what works—scale it.
Step 7: Use Email Marketing to Nurture Leads
You’ve got people visiting your website, clicking on ads, maybe even signing up for something. That’s great! But what happens next?
Many of them aren’t ready to buy right away—and that’s where email marketing comes in.
Think of it like this:
Email is your direct line to people who already showed interest. You’re not chasing strangers—you’re building a relationship.
Why email marketing works for startups:
It’s low-cost and high return
Keeps your audience engaged over time
Helps build trust and brand recall
Boosts conversions when people are finally ready to buy
What kind of emails should you send?
Welcome emails – Thank people for signing up and introduce your brand Newsletters – Share updates, blog posts, or success stories Product tips or tutorials – Help users get value from what you offer Exclusive offers – Discounts, early access, or freebies Follow-ups – Remind people who didn’t complete a signup or purchase
Tools you can use:
Free: Mailchimp, Brevo (Sendinblue), MailerLite
Paid: ConvertKit, ActiveCampaign, Zoho Campaigns
Add simple sign-up forms to your website: “Get 10% Off Your First Order” or “Download Our Free Guide for Startups”
Pro Tip: Don’t spam! Send useful, personal, and relevant emails. One valuable email is better than five boring ones.
Step 8: Set Up Analytics and Track Performance
You’ve done the hard work—your website is live, your ads are running, your content is out there. Now the question is: Is it actually working?
This is where analytics come in.
Tracking your digital marketing efforts helps you:
See what’s working (and what’s not)
Understand where your visitors are coming from
Know which campaigns bring the most leads or sales
Make smarter decisions to grow faster
Tools Every Startup Should Use:
Google Analytics (GA4) Tracks everything on your website—visits, bounce rate, conversions, traffic sources, etc. → Helps you understand how people use your site.
Google Search Console Shows how your site is performing in Google search results. → Helps you improve your SEO rankings and fix technical issues.
Meta Ads Manager / Google Ads Dashboard If you’re running paid ads, use these to track impressions, clicks, conversions, and return on ad spend (ROAS).
Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity (optional) Visual tools that show where users click, scroll, or drop off. → Helps improve user experience on your site.
What to Measure (Key Metrics):
Website visitors
Bounce rate (how many leave quickly)
Lead form submissions / Contact clicks
Email signups
Ad performance (CTR, conversions, cost per lead)
Pro Tip: Don’t just collect data—use it to improve. For example: If many users leave your site without clicking anything, maybe your homepage needs a stronger CTA or faster load time.
Step 9: Optimize and Scale Your Campaigns
You’ve launched your digital marketing strategy—great job! But remember, marketing isn’t “set it and forget it.” The real growth comes when you test, tweak, and scale what’s working.
Think of it like tuning a bike: You make small adjustments, ride smoother, and go faster over time.
Here’s how to optimize and scale your efforts:
Review Your Data Regularly
Check your website analytics, ad performance, email open rates, and SEO rankings. Look for:
What content is performing best?
Which ads bring the most leads at the lowest cost?
Where are users dropping off?
A/B Test Your Campaigns
Try two versions of the same thing—like:
Different ad headlines
Two email subject lines
Two landing page designs Then see which one performs better—and go with the winner.
Focus on What’s Working
Found a blog post that’s ranking well? Update and expand it. Got an ad that’s getting leads for ₹50? Put more budget behind it. One channel not delivering results? Pause it and try something else.
Automate Repetitive Tasks
Use tools like:
Zapier to automate follow-ups
Email automation for drip campaigns
CRM tools (like HubSpot or Zoho) to manage leads
Scale Smart
Once you know what brings results, slowly increase your efforts. → More content → Bigger ad budgets → More frequent emails → Additional team support or agency help
Pro Tip: Don’t scale everything at once. Double down on what’s proven to work, and grow step-by-step.
Bonus Tip: Consider Hiring a Digital Marketing Agency in India
As a startup founder, your time is precious. You’re juggling product development, customer support, fundraising, and a hundred other things. That’s why sometimes the smartest move is to get expert help.

Google Ads for Plumbers: Target Local Clients Effectively
In today’s competitive plumbing industry, being visible to the right customers at the right time is essential. While SEO is powerful, it often takes time to show results. If you’re looking to generate immediate leads, especially from nearby customers, Google Ads for Plumbers is one of the most effective tools available. This pay-per-click (PPC) strategy helps your business appear at the top of search results, right when potential clients are searching for your services. In this article, you’ll learn how to set up and optimize Google Ads to reach more local clients fast.
How to Set Up Google Ads for Plumbers
Google Ads can seem complex at first, but once you understand the basics, it becomes a powerful system for growing your business. Here's how to get started with Google Ads for Plumbers:
1. Choose the Right Campaign Type Start with either Search Ads or Local Services Ads. Search Ads appear when users type keywords into Google (like “plumber near me”), while Local Services Ads show up at the top of the page with your business details and a click-to-call option. Both are great for plumbing businesses.
2. Define Your Target Area Set your ads to appear only in specific zip codes, cities, or within a radius of your business location. This ensures that you only pay for clicks from people in areas where you actually operate.
3. Write Clear, Local-Focused Ad Copy Use messaging that reflects urgency and location relevance. Examples include:
“24/7 Emergency Plumbing in [City]”
“Fast, Reliable Leak Repair in [Neighborhood]” Include strong calls to action like “Call Now” or “Schedule Today.”
4. Add Ad Extensions Google allows you to expand your ads with helpful extras:
Call Extensions (a clickable phone number)
Location Extensions (to show your address)
Site Link Extensions (linking to specific services)
5. Use the Right Keywords Research and include terms like:
“Emergency plumber [city]”
“Drain cleaning near me”
“Toilet repair [location]” Avoid broad or irrelevant keywords that may waste your budget.
6. Set a Daily Budget Start small — even $20–$50 per day can generate calls in the plumbing niche. Adjust your spend based on results over time.
By following these steps, you’ll build a solid foundation for your first campaign and make Google Ads for Plumbers work for your local goals.
Why Google Ads Work for Local Plumbing Businesses
Google Ads are incredibly effective for local plumbing companies because they allow you to reach high-intent customers — people who need help right now. When someone searches “plumber near me” or “fix water leak fast,” they’re not just browsing — they’re ready to call.
Here’s why Google Ads deliver fast results:
Instant Visibility: Unlike SEO, which takes months, Google Ads show your business on page one right away.
Targeted Leads: You only pay when someone clicks, and you can limit those clicks to your specific service area.
Mobile Dominance: Most people searching for plumbing services are using mobile phones. With call extensions, they can connect to you in one tap.
Conversion Tracking: Google Ads lets you track how many calls or form submissions come from your ads — so you know what’s working.
When done right, Google Ads for Plumbers isn’t just another marketing channel — it’s a consistent engine for high-quality, local leads.
Tips to Maximize ROI with Google Ads
Once your campaign is up and running, follow these best practices to ensure a high return on investment:
Use Conversion Tracking: Set up call tracking or form tracking to see which ads and keywords lead to real jobs.
A/B Test Your Ads: Try different headlines, call-to-actions, and offers to see which ones perform best.
Monitor Keyword Performance: Pause low-performing keywords and increase bids for high-converting ones.
Use Negative Keywords: Block irrelevant searches like “DIY plumbing” or “free plumbing tips.”
Optimize Your Landing Pages: Ensure your website loads quickly, looks great on mobile, and highlights your services clearly.
These small tweaks can make a big difference in how many calls and jobs your ads bring in.
Conclusion: Why Google Ads for Plumbers Is Worth the Investment
In a service industry where speed and visibility are critical, Google Ads for Plumbers offers a direct path to local clients who are ready to hire. With the right setup — targeting, ad copy, keywords, and budget — you can drive consistent, high-quality leads without wasting money. Whether you're just starting out or looking to scale your plumbing business, investing in Google Ads can help you dominate your local market and stay ahead of the competition.

The Role of PPC in a Multi-Channel Marketing Strategy for Kolkata SMEs
In today's competitive digital environment, small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in Kolkata need more than just a website to attract customers. Success now depends on being present across multiple online channels — from search engines and social media to content platforms and email campaigns. This is where a multi-channel marketing strategy comes into play.
One of the most effective tools to support and enhance this strategy is Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising. At Webart Technology, we believe that incorporating PPC services for local businesses in Kolkata into your broader digital plan can significantly boost your visibility, traffic, and ROI.
Tumblr media
What Is a Multi-Channel Marketing Strategy?
A multi-channel marketing strategy involves reaching your customers through various platforms and touchpoints. It could include:
Search engine optimization (SEO)
Social media marketing
Email marketing
Content marketing
Paid advertising (PPC)
While each of these channels offers value, PPC services for local businesses in Kolkata offer something unique: instant visibility and measurable results.
Why PPC Is a Crucial Part of Multi-Channel Strategy
1. Instant Results to Support Long-Term Growth
SEO takes time to build momentum. While you're building your organic rankings, PPC services for local businesses in Kolkata can bring in immediate leads and traffic. This helps SMEs remain visible and competitive from the start.
2. Amplifies Reach for Your Content
You may be creating great blog posts or videos, but if no one sees them, they won’t deliver results. With ppc campaign management, you can promote your content to a highly targeted audience based on keywords, location, and user behavior. This increases engagement and drives more users into your marketing funnel.
3. Supports Seasonal Promotions and Local Events
Whether you’re running a festival sale or launching a new service, PPC services for local businesses in Kolkata allow you to quickly reach people looking for products or services in your area. Geo-targeted ads ensure your campaign is focused and cost-effective.
4. Enhances Retargeting and Brand Recall
Many potential customers don’t convert on their first visit. Through retargeting, a key function of PPC, you can re-engage these users with display ads, driving them back to your site to complete the purchase.
As a trusted Adwords management company Kolkata, Webart Technology helps SMEs set up and manage retargeting campaigns to maximize conversions from already-interested users.
5. Data-Driven Decisions for All Channels
PPC generates valuable data — such as which keywords convert, what times users click the most, and which devices drive results. This data informs other areas like SEO, content, and email marketing.
With expert ppc campaign management, this information can be analyzed to refine your overall marketing strategy, helping you spend smarter across every channel.
Why Work with Webart Technology?
As a leading Adwords management company Kolkata, Webart Technology offers comprehensive PPC solutions that are customized for SMEs. We understand the local market dynamics and know how to target your audience at the right time, on the right platform, with the right message.

Complete Beginner’s Guide to Google Search Console in 2025
Tumblr media
Keywords Overview:
Primary Keywords: google search console, google search console for seo
Secondary Keywords: how does google search console work, google search console tutorial, google search console features, what is google search console, is google search console accurate
Introduction
If you’re just starting out with managing a website, blog, or online store, you’ve probably heard people mention Google Search Console. But what exactly is it, and why should you care? Don’t worry - this guide will break everything down in simple terms, even if you’ve never used the tool before.
Google Search Console is a free tool provided by Google. That helps website owners monitor their site’s presence in Google search results. Think of it as your direct line to Google - it shows you how your site appears in search, what’s working well, and what needs fixing.
As we move into 2025, Google Search Console has become even more powerful and user-friendly, making it the perfect time for beginners to get started. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know, from basic setup to making the most of its features.
What is Google Search Console and Why You Need It
What is Google Search Console? It’s essentially your website’s health monitor and performance tracker for Google search. It shows you how Google sees your site and how real people find it through search.
Here’s why you absolutely need it in 2025:
It shows which search terms bring visitors to your site
It alerts you to technical problems Google finds on your website
It helps you understand which content performs best
It reveals which other websites link to yours
It identifies mobile-friendly issues that could hurt your rankings
It provides data directly from Google that you can’t get anywhere else
The best part? It’s completely free. In 2025, Google Search Console has become even more valuable with new AI-assisted features that help beginners understand their data without needing technical expertise.
If you’re running a website without Google Search Console, you’re essentially flying blind. You have no way of knowing if Google can properly find and understand your content, or how people are discovering your site.
How Does Google Search Console Work: The Basics
Many beginners wonder how does Google Search Console work and what it actually does behind the scenes. Let me explain it simply.
At its core, how does Google Search Console work involves three main processes:
Monitoring: It constantly watches how your site appears in Google search results
Reporting: It collects data about clicks, impressions, rankings, and technical issues
Alerting: It notifies you about problems that need your attention
When you add your website to Google Search Console, you’re giving Google permission to share data about how your site performs in search. The tool then begins collecting information about:
Which search terms display your website
How often people click on your site in search results
Which pages Google can and cannot index
Technical issues that might be hurting your performance
Mobile-friendly problems
Security issues
In 2025, how does Google Search Console work has evolved to include more predictive features. The tool now uses AI to not just report problems, but to suggest specific fixes and even predict potential issues before they impact your rankings.
Setting Up Google Search Console: Step-by-Step
This Google Search Console tutorial will get you up and running in just a few minutes, even if you’re completely new to website tools.
Step 1: Sign in with your Google account
Go to search.google.com/search-console and sign in with the Google account you want to use. This can be any Google account - it doesn’t have to be the same one you use for other Google services.
Step 2: Add your website
You’ll see two options for adding your site:
Domain property: This covers your entire domain including all subdomains (recommended for most users)
URL prefix property: This covers only a specific URL and its pages
For beginners, I recommend the domain property option as it gives you the most complete picture of your website.
Step 3: Verify ownership
Google needs to confirm you actually own the website. In 2025, verification has become much simpler with several options:
DNS verification: Add a special record to your domain settings (most reliable method)
HTML file upload: Upload a file to your website
HTML tag: Add a meta tag to your homepage
Google Analytics: Connect your Google Analytics account
Google Tag Manager: Use your Tag Manager account
The easiest method depends on how you manage your website. If you use WordPress, there are plugins that can handle this for you. If you’re not sure, the DNS verification method works with any hosting provider.
Step 4: Wait for data collection
After verification, Google Search Console will begin collecting data about your site. This process takes time - you’ll start seeing some data within 24 hours, but comprehensive data takes a few days to appear.
Step 5: Submit your sitemap
A sitemap helps Google find and understand all the pages on your website. If you have one (most website builders and CMS platforms create these automatically), submit it by:
Clicking on “Sitemaps” in the left menu
Entering the location of your sitemap (usually yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml)
Clicking “Submit”
his Google Search Console tutorial covers the basics, but the tool will continue collecting more detailed data about your site over time.
Google Search Console Features You Need to Know in 2025
The Google Search Console features have expanded significantly in 2025, but beginners should focus on mastering these essential tools first:
Performance Report
This is the heart of Google Search Console features and where you’ll likely spend most of your time. It shows:
Queries: The actual search terms people use to find your site
Pages: Which of your pages appear in search results
Countries: Where your visitors are located
Devices: Whether people find you on mobile, desktop, or tablet
Date comparisons: How your performance changes over time
In 2025, the Performance Report includes AI-powered insights that automatically highlight significant trends and opportunities specific to your website type.
URL Inspection Tool
This powerful tool lets you see exactly how Google views any page on your site:
Check if a specific page is in Google’s index
Request indexing for new or updated content
See a rendered version of your page as Google sees it
Identify specific issues preventing indexing
Coverage Report
This report shows which pages Google can and cannot include in search results, along with specific reasons for any problems. In 2025, this report now includes predictive warnings about pages that might develop issues in the future.
Mobile Usability
With most searches now happening on mobile devices, this report identifies issues that might make your site difficult to use on phones and tablets. The 2025 version includes visual simulations of how real users experience problematic pages.
Core Web Vitals
These metrics measure your site’s loading speed, interactivity, and visual stability - all factors Google uses to rank websites. The 2025 update provides clearer guidance on exactly how to fix specific issues, even for non-technical users.
Links Report
This shows which websites link to yours and which pages on your site receive the most links. This data helps you understand your site’s authority and reputation across the web.
The Google Search Console features continue to evolve, with the 2025 version focusing on making technical SEO concepts more accessible to beginners through visual explanations and guided troubleshooting.
Using Google Search Console for SEO Success
Using Google Search Console for SEO gives you a significant advantage because you’re working with data directly from Google itself. Here’s how to make the most of it:
Find Your Best-Performing Keywords
In the Performance Report, you can see exactly which search terms bring visitors to your site. Using Google Search Console for SEO keyword research helps you:
Discover which topics your audience is most interested in
Identify keywords you rank for but don’t get clicks (opportunity to improve titles and descriptions)
Find keywords where you rank on page two (with a little optimization, these could move to page one)
Identify and Fix Technical Issues
Technical problems can prevent Google from properly understanding your content. Many professionals consider Google Search Console for SEO troubleshooting to be essential because it:
Alerts you to crawling and indexing problems
Identifies structured data issues
Highlights security concerns
Flags mobile usability problems
In 2025, Google Search Console for SEO has become even more valuable with its ability to not just identify problems but suggest specific solutions tailored to your website platform.
Improve Click-Through Rates
The data provided by Google Search Console for SEO helps you understand which search listings get clicks and which don’t. You can use this information to:
Test different page titles and descriptions
Focus on improving pages with high impressions but low clicks
Understand which content types your audience prefers
Monitor Core Web Vitals
In 2025, page experience signals have become even more important for rankings. Google Search Console for SEO success now depends heavily on meeting these performance metrics:
Largest Contentful Paint (loading speed)
First Input Delay (interactivity)
Cumulative Layout Shift (visual stability)
The tool now provides more actionable guidance on improving these metrics, even for users without technical backgrounds.
Is Google Search Console Accurate? Understanding the Data
Many website owners ask: is Google Search Console accurate when it comes to reporting search performance? The answer is yes, but with some important nuances to understand.
Google Search Console data comes directly from Google, making it the most authoritative source for how your site performs in Google search. However, there are some limitations:
Why the numbers might not match other tools
If you’re comparing Google Search Console with Google Analytics or other tracking tools, you’ll notice differences. This is normal because:
Google Search Console shows impressions (when your site appears in search) even if no one clicks
Different tools attribute traffic differently
Some tools filter bot traffic in different ways
There’s typically a 2-3 day delay in reporting
While is Google Search Console accurate for most metrics, the 2025 version has improved data processing that addresses many previous limitations. The question of is Google Search Console accurate has become less relevant as Google has enhanced the tool’s reliability.
Data sampling
For websites with very high traffic, Google Search Console may use data sampling rather than counting every single impression or click. This means the numbers you see are close estimates rather than exact counts.
Date comparisons
When comparing date ranges, remember that search traffic naturally fluctuates based on:
Seasonality
Algorithm updates
News events
Competitor activities
A temporary drop doesn’t necessarily indicate a problem with your site.
For beginners, it’s important to focus on trends rather than obsessing over exact numbers. The data is accurate enough to make informed decisions about your content and SEO strategy.
Common Mistakes to Avoid with Google Search Console
Even with the user-friendly improvements in 2025, beginners often make several common mistakes when using Google Search Console:
1. Not verifying all versions of your website
Make sure to verify both the www and non-www versions of your site, as well as HTTP and HTTPS versions if applicable. In 2025, Google has simplified this with domain properties, but it’s still a common oversight.
2. Ignoring mobile issues
With mobile-first indexing fully implemented, mobile usability issues can severely impact your rankings. Never dismiss warnings in the Mobile Usability report, as they directly affect how Google ranks your site.
3. Panicking over temporary fluctuations
Search traffic naturally varies day to day. A temporary drop doesn’t necessarily indicate a problem. The new AI-powered trend analysis in Google Search Console helps distinguish between normal fluctuations and actual issues.
4. Not requesting indexing for important new content
When you publish important new content, use the URL Inspection tool to request indexing rather than waiting for Google to discover it naturally. This can speed up the process significantly.
5. Overlooking excluded pages
The Coverage report has an “Excluded” section that shows pages Google has chosen not to index. Sometimes important pages end up here by mistake, so check this section regularly.
6. Misinterpreting search query data
Just because your site appears for a search query doesn’t mean it’s relevant for that term. Look at the click-through rate to determine actual relevance and user interest.
7. Not using the new AI features
In 2025, Google Search Console’s AI capabilities can automatically identify issues and opportunities. Not utilizing these features means missing out on valuable insights that could improve your rankings.
Google Search Console Basics Every Beginner Should Know
Before wrapping up, here are some fundamental Google Search Console basics that every beginner should understand:
Data delay: There’s typically a 2-3 day lag in reporting
Verification is permanent: Once verified, your access remains unless manually removed
Multiple users: You can add team members to your Google Search Console account
Historical data: Google stores up to 16 months of performance data
No effect on rankings: Using Google Search Console doesn’t directly improve your rankings; it just provides data
Regular updates: Google frequently adds new features, so check the tool regularly.
Conclusion: Next Steps with Google Search Console
Now that you understand the basics of Google Search Console, here’s what to do next:
Set up your account today - The sooner you start, the sooner you’ll have data
Check your coverage report first - Fix any critical errors that prevent indexing
Explore your performance data - Understand which keywords bring visitors to your site
Set a regular schedule - Plan to check your Google Search Console weekly
Start small - Focus on understanding one report thoroughly before moving to the next
Use the help documentation - Google provides excellent tutorials for beginners
Remember that Google Search Console is a powerful tool that takes time to master. Don’t expect to understand everything immediately. Focus on the basics first, and gradually explore more advanced features as you become comfortable.
By following this beginner’s guide to Google Search Console in 2025, you’re taking an important step toward improving your website’s visibility in Google search results. The insights you gain will help you create better content, fix technical issues, and ultimately attract more visitors to your site.

Clash of Clans Free Gems – My Honest Experience with a Surprisingly Legit App
Let me be upfront: I’m not a blogger. I’m just a regular Clash of Clans player who, like many of you, got tired of endlessly grinding or paying real money for gems. But something crazy happened that I just can’t keep to myself. I discovered an app that actually worked — yes, really — and gave me Clash of Clans free gems. No hacks, no shady generators, no risk. Just an app I downloaded on a whim.
I’ll walk you through the whole experience, the ups, the doubts, and the ultimate joy of seeing gems flood into my account. And if you’re skeptical (which you absolutely should be), I don’t blame you. But read on — this isn’t your typical fake scam post.
📱 The Accidental Discovery
I wasn’t even looking for gems. It was just a boring Saturday afternoon. I was stuck waiting at the dentist, scrolling through the app store like I always do when I’m bored. That’s when I saw it: an app claiming to give out free gems for Clash of Clans in exchange for completing simple tasks like watching ads or testing new apps.
The app? It’s called GemMG. Here's the link if you're curious: Download GemMG Free Gems App
I didn’t expect much. Honestly, I was sure it’d be one of those clickbait “you’re the 1,000,000th visitor” kind of things. But something about the reviews — they felt real. So I downloaded it.
💭 Doubts and First Impressions
Right after installation, I was ready to delete it. I’ve seen too many fake “Clash of Clans gem hack” promises over the years. But surprisingly, GemCraze had a clean interface, no intrusive popups, and the instructions were straightforward.
Here’s how it worked:
Complete simple offers (watch a video, install an app, do a quiz)
Earn credits
Redeem credits for gift cards or direct gems via Supercell ID
I figured I’d try a few offers. Worst case, I waste a few minutes. Best case? Free gems.
💎 The First Time I Got Gems (And Freaked Out)
I racked up enough credits within 15–20 minutes. Redeemed them for a $10 Google Play gift card, used it to buy gems in Clash of Clans. I refreshed the app, fingers crossed...
Boom.
Gems in my account.
Not gonna lie — I thought it was a glitch. I closed and reopened the game like five times. It was still there. That moment? Man, it was pure gold. Like finding Elixir in a dead base but x10 better.
🤯 Why This Matters More Than You Think
This wasn’t just about getting Clash of Clans free gems. It was about possibility. About feeling like I finally had a shot to compete without selling a kidney for microtransactions.
I upgraded my barracks. I gemmed my army camps. I even rushed a few upgrades just because I could. Suddenly, I wasn’t behind in Clan Wars anymore. I felt relevant.
👥 Who This Is For (Target Audience Insight)
If you're like me — a mid-level player, too old to grind 24/7, too broke to pay — this app hits a sweet spot. The target audience here is:
Casual to semi-competitive Clash of Clans players
Students or younger players with limited budgets
Adults who play occasionally but want to progress faster
Let’s be real — nobody wants to pay for gems. If there's a safe, legal workaround, we all want in.
📈 Monetization Potential
Let’s shift perspective for a second. If you’re a content creator, blogger, or YouTuber, this kind of app has massive affiliate potential. People are searching daily for:
“Clash of Clans gem hack”
“Clash of Clans free gems 2025”
“How to get free gems in Clash of Clans”
Ranking for those keywords and linking to an app like GemCraze with a referral code? That’s passive income, my friend. Trust me, I even made a few bucks after sharing my referral link in my clan chat. You’d be amazed.
🧠 Content Strategy – How I’d Do It Again
If I were to create more content around this, here's the plan:
Personal Story Format (like this one)
SEO-Optimized Title: “How I Got Free Clash of Clans Gems (2025 Update)”
YouTube Video showing proof and step-by-step
Include long-tail keywords like:
“working clash of clans gem generator 2025”
“no survey clash of clans gems”
“best apps to get free gems for clash of clans”
Repurpose content for TikTok or Shorts
The goal is authenticity. Show that it’s not a scam, explain how it works, and let people decide.
🛑 Wait – Is This Even Safe?
Yes. That was my biggest concern too.
But apps like GemMG use legit advertising partnerships. You’re not exploiting or hacking the game. You’re just completing real user actions that advertisers pay for.
Supercell is strict about third-party gem hacks, but redeeming a Google Play gift card? That’s 100% above board.
🚀 My Final Thoughts (Real Talk)
Listen, I’ve been where you are. Searching forums, Reddit threads, sketchy sites, trying to get ahead in Clash of Clans without dropping cash. Most of it? Garbage. But this worked.
So if you’re still reading this, and you want to try it for yourself, here’s the link again:
👉 Download GemMG – Free Gems App
Use my referral code if you want to help me out: CLASHGEM10
Or don’t. No pressure. Just enjoy the gems.
And hey — if this helped you, shoot me a DM. Maybe we’ll end up in the same clan someday.
Clash on, chief.
💬 FAQ (because I know you’ll ask)
Q: Is this a Clash of Clans gem hack? Nope. No hacking involved. Just tasks and legit rewards.
Q: How long does it take to earn enough credits? Around 20–30 minutes for your first $10 gift card.
Q: Can I use it more than once? Yep. Daily limits apply but you can keep using it.
Q: Does Supercell ban accounts for this? No. You're not violating terms if you're redeeming gift cards.
Final Keyword Reminder:
Main keyword focus: clash of clans free gems Secondary keywords: free gems app, get clash of clans gems, clash of clans generator, clash of clans without paying
Make sure to sprinkle these naturally if you’re writing your own version.
Now go get those gems. 💎
