(An urban Orpheus & Eurydice AU.)

Each thought of Hinata is a thorn that digs into Kiyoomi’s palms, in this profuse gathering of flowers and feelings that Kiyoomi has been holding so earnestly out for Atsumu.

Kiyoomi’s palms and heart bleed red—it’s a good thing that roses are already drenched in the same color.

A voice. A thought. 

He’s beautiful, Atsumu is thinking now. 

But not about me, murmurs Kiyoomi internally. Never about me.

or in other words, kiyoomi has been pining for a certain cocky setter for years — and he’s sure it will never progress beyond that. because, you see, kiyoomi is able to hear his soulmate’s thoughts through his soulmate connection. 

that’s how he knows that miya atsumu doesn’t feel the same way.
