As always, late to an artist trend, but since I've been riding the OC wave hard for the last few years, thought this would be fun!

I'll put a more detailed description (with old drawings) in a reblog, but here a short version:

Fav OC I love all of my OCs a ton, but I don't know what it is about Chidori, but I love her to a degree that it HURTS. I wouldn't say I love her more than my other OCs, I just get obsessed with her more easily.

First OC Sooo, I put two characters - Fumiko and Rei. I will go into Fumiko's creation story in the reblog, but let's just say she was the first character I ever created and properly gave a name, but Rei is the first character I actually gave a proper story. Basically, baby's first OC and baby's first hyperfixation.

Latest OC Almost was my unreleased Genshin OC, but then Draga came to be! Again, going into detail in the reblog, but Draga is funnily similar to Fumiko, like an evolution, almost.

Easiest to draw This was between Daki and Shark Girl, but then I remember Shark Girl has a hat so Daki won. Nothing much to say, my angry daughter just has a simple but striking design!

Hardest to draw ANY MonHun OC - I love MonHun a lot, and their outifts are CHEFS KISS, but oh my god the details. Genshin is a close second tho. Ive come around to Chidori's by now, but Zet's Namielle armor still breaks my head.

Nopes et Fodlan en général, c'est un exercice de yoga pour apprendre à rester zen lol

D'un côté tu as une sorte de traditionnel et assez intéressant linéaire avec des personnages qui racontent, souvent, quelque chose qui est contredit par les éléments que tu vois dans le monde, les bouquins, les petits textes "d'environnement" et tout...

Mais le drame, c'est que les personnages restent statiques, et au bout d'un moment tu te demandes juste, okay bon il a dit sa connerie, moi en tant que joueur j'ai vu l'inverse, est-ce qu'il va s'en rendre compte ou non? Et...

Non (on a tous reconnu Claude lol) : il part d'un postulat "Eglise caca", apparemment apprend que c'est un peu plus compliqué que ça, mais fini sur un "j'aimerais bien que vous, joueur, vous chanigez le monde pour faire en sorte qu'il y ait plus de tolérance parce qu'avant c'était pas ça, puisque Eglise caca".

...

Et dire qu'il nous pond cette bouse après avoir eu l'ultime révélation, de la part de Rhea elle-même, sur la raison de ses secrets et le fait que les Nabatéens chantaient kumbaya en rond et se sont quand même fait démolir parce que leurs oreilles sont pointues et que ça peut faire des fléchettes super stylées, c'est... décevant.

Donc d'une part on a cette chose immonde de "oui mais les persos tu les aimes et ils peuvent pas grandir (sauf une partie du cast qui est dans le nord mais ils sont vilains pas beau) donc entre le scénario et Hilda qui est encore en train de se plaindre qu'on lui donne trop de travail et qui est contente d'être une feignasse alors qu'on vient de faire une carte où il est révélé que sa maison """"embauche"""" des gamins almyriens en leur donnant un minimum de gîte et de couvert qui doivent eux quasiment se tuer à la tâche pour faire des corvées, ben Hilda est plus importante! Achètes son alt en bikini pour FEH stp!"

Et d'autre part, évidemment, Dedel elle-même!

C'est marrant parce qu'au début je pensais naivement que le scénario et le sentiment d'inachevé de cet opus (FE16) était dû au fait qu'on avait encore un avatar qui devait être le centre du monde - et si je maintiens que certains choix scénaristiques (comme des dialogues de soutien???) sont clairement motivés par ça - en fait ce n'est pas Billy le centre de Fodlan pour les développeurs, c'est Dedel!

Dimitri est foufou et vilain parce qu'il veut trucider Dedel? Ben quand il redevient gentil, il ne veut plus la décapiter! Ouais!

Claude geint quand il s'agit de dégommer Dedel "on a des buts pas si différents en fait! Moi je veux mettre un terme aux discriminations, et toi tu veux tuer Flayn parce qu'elle n'est pas de la bonne race. C'est tout pareil!" et sa route a quand même la perle, avec Lys qui est en mode "on doit dégommer Thales et compagnie pour Dedel aussi qui était une pôvre victime :'(". A vomir.

Le truc le plus marrant, c'est que la route de Dedel est celle qui, à mon sens, dépeint les critiques de Rhea de façon la plus réelle : elle est énervée et peinée et détruite petit à petit par la guerre qui fait rage parce qu'il faut la détruire, comme elle est caca, mais au moins avec les voix JP, j'ai l'impression que oui, on fait une boulette et le joueur se prend tout ce torrent d'émotions et de doutes dans la face, et c'est pas Dedel avec sa rhétorique puante "oui mais ce ne sont pas des humains et les oreilles pointues sont un mal qui ronge notre monde depuis des siècles il faut toutes les exterminer" qui fait passer la pilule.

Du coup, les développeurs ont misé sur le côté "self insert" de Billy avec Rhea qui se focalise sur eux - au lieu de Dedel - pour montrer qu'elle est méchante, elle vous crie dessus :'(

En tous cas ça a marché avec quelques joueurs outre-atlantique, et Rhea caca "parce qu'elle me regarde mal, et m'a dit que je n'étais qu'un raté ouin ouin le pnj il est vilain avec moi môman".

Et puis dans SS, ben on finit par avoir Rhea elle-même, dans son soutien, qui avalise les merdouilles de Dedel en pensant que la guerre était de sa faute (ben oui!) pour dédouanner l'élève pour laquelle le joueur est censé se sentir mal.

Bref, on a deux jeux où des persos, dont Dedel la première, font de la merde, 36k occasions de la part de personnages - qui ne manquent pas de répartie creuse quand il s'agit de dire qu'une organisation bannie depuis des siècles d'un endroit est mauvaise parce qu'elle n'aide pas les gens de cet endroit (coucou Doro!) ou qu'elle discrimine entre les gens (coucou Claude!) - de les corriger, mais non.

Dedel ne pourra jamais faire face à quelqu'un qui lui explique en trois points que son plan c'est de la merde - il n'y a rien qu'à voir Ferdie qui fait des ronds de jambe pour lui expliquer le concept de l'école (oh mais oui dedel, je suis sûre que tu y as pensé n'est ce pas? Qu'est ce que tu es douée!) - parce que quiconque s'oppose à Dedel, dans les jeux "Fodlan", ben c'est quelqu'un de méchant, à la fin, tout le monde doit aimer ou au moins avoir de la sympathie pour elle (dédicace à @ladyniniane qui, à mon sens, a écrit une façon réaliste d'envisager les "pourparlers" d'avant bataille de la route des Lions de Saphir, au lieu d'avoir le débat sur le plat de la cantine ce midi que nous ont pondu les développeurs).

Et parfois, on arrive à des absurdités que certains joueurs relèvent comme le "mais pourquoi les gens ils sont pas contents quand je leur roule dessus et leur explique qu'il sont des sous-humains comparés à moi et mes compatriotes?" ou le fameux "no u" quand Dimitri lui demande d'arrêter de trucider ses sujets.

Donc pour répondre à ton Claude sur le montage, oui, selon les "scénaristes", ont est censés être tristoune pour Dedel (Lobotogard est pour moi la façon la plus moche de lui empêcher d'assumer ses actes de merde) et toujours vouloir acheter des polochons à son effigie, quitte à sacrifier la qualité scénaristique des jeux.

Rewatching Shez's supports with Edelgard, it kind of irritates me that Edelgard looks upset after Shez points out that the average farmer probably hates her for the war. Like, ma'am you knew this would lead to mass death and a lot of people not being fans of yours, and considering Hubert also points out the Edel's policies are meant to benefit nobles who give her money and troops and keep down the commonfolk, she shouldn't be surprised by this answer. Shez even softens the comment by saying "you must have a good reason" but it's like Edelgard can't handle hearing any kind of real criticism from people she respects (or claims to). I think it's another player-pandering thing, can't have the Lord be mad at you, but it just makes Edelgard look like a thin-skinned whiner who can't handle the harsh criticisms that her actions are going to bring her. At least when she went on about "her path of blood and death" in 3 Houses she seemed to have some sense of "yeah people will hate my guts." Idk it probably comes down to the developers being scared to have someone truly criticize Edelgard without pushback.

That supports irks me for other reasons lol, basically the fact that Barney points out how water is wet (something Supreme Sailor Fuku apparently missed, as you noticed) but within 1 convo they completely drop that plot line and get along with her plans because, eggtivation means that someone as bland as Barney - who could represent common sense - must also be drowned under liters of Hresvelg Grey.

Imo, it's not "your lord cannot be mad at you", but again and again with the Fodlan games, "no one can be mad at Supreme Leader, not even you(r self insert character)".

FWIW, FEH got her writing right - faced with contradictions and criticism, Supreme Leader ragingly storms out of a conversation when the characters aren't from Fodlan and thus cannot be eggtivated (or when the Fodlan team isn't writing them?).

Given how her Nopes' Big B's support basically has her say "you're either with me or against me", no wonder why criticism, at least in Nopes, is something unknown for her, hell, Ferdie must behead his father to demonstrate times after times that he and House Aegir aren't her enemies - in a way, even with the twist they added (let's ally with those icky disgusting beasts to get rid of uncle, and THEN we will free Fodlan from their scaly grasp!) Nopes wrote Supreme Leader to be even more uncompromising and more bull-headed than ever, if in Houses she had a modicum of self-awareness (she's still the Adrestian Emperor though!), in Nopes it's written away.

I'm imagining the diabolicule arguing about who should play which origin character in their planned Baldurs Gate 3 playthrough. Maybe I even want to write a fic about that one day, but for now: - everyone says that Lestat should obviously play Astarion cause "they're so alike" and Lestat is like "moi? Wdym" and everyone just laughs - Daniel wants to play Gale cause "he's a funny dude" and when the others say something about "dad jokes", he gets confused

-Louis chooses Will cause "he's just a human and seems chill", then gets majorly pissed about it when Will gets his horns

-Armand, against everyone's advice, chooses Shadowheart, cause he gets hyperfixated on her and the 'tism makes it easy to traumabond with her

Hello my beloved Tamlin loving buddies! It is a that that time of year again and while life and other hyperfixations have not made easy for moi, I intend to both contribute and admire all the great things this lovely week has to offer!

Today's themes are Forgivenrss and Change, which were two driving forces behind me falling back onto acotar hyperfixtaion and writing for the best boy. So today I am giving some attention to he fic that started it all for me, A Court of Threads & Daisies. Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, ce soir? Said with brio and a lot of tongue, but she has no clues what it means, or why a few of the audience is blushing like mad.

She raps??? It's actually good? Why spend mine when I can spend yours?

What the heck is a moulin rouge anyway.

But she's having a LOT of fun, focus more on the dancing than the song, it's a whole-ass show, dress is up to her knees (gasp) more than half the song. Some peeps have to go outisde for fresh air but she's completely oblivious, and honestly doesnt't care, not here to seduce anyone, just very confident in being sexy.

Then she goes back serving drinks like nothing happened.

It was a tie between this and "All That Jazz" from Chicago...

Maru -

Starts on a chair like a burlesque number and honestly? Owning it, owning IT. Maru has CABARET in her soul jumping out when she drinks, someone SIGNS that girl.

She knows she scares you, and you're right to be scared.

Ruffles some hair walking round the tables, in her head she has a sparkling dress trailing behind her, set of musicians backing her up back on stage, and she kisses that mic with a voice no ones even imagined she had.

But once she sobers up? No clue what you're talking about, she doesn't sing, she won't sing. Ugh MARU PLEASE ILY.

Leah -

It's not her pitch, but she goes for it. Townsfolks will wince a bit but who cares she clearly puts her soul in it. So much so they have to ask if she's ok. Are you ok Leah??

I build my own world to escape.

If she's drunk enough and you're close she will tell you that's how she felt with her controlling ex (HEARTBREAKING), otherwise you're just like heh, tortured soul of an artist I suppose.

She even cries at the end SOMEONE HUG THAT WOMAN.

She won't remember it the next day but still appreciate the attention and care she'll get for a few days. You're ok Leah, you're safe in Pelican Town ♥

Penny -

Are you ok there Penny? How many tequila shooters did you have? None?? You didn't even have a drink?! Golly...

She misses cues, some words are unintelligible, but.she.GOES.for.it.

Guess she had a lot of anger to squeeze out.... No one, NO ONE knew she could scream like that. Raise her voice at all come to think of it.

Oh the THROAT hurts for days afterward but she doesn't care, it needs to come out or she'll explodes, she's like Aggretsuko, Karaoke's an outlet, let her scream, it's fine.

Drops the mic, waves at her mom, and heads out. See ya next week.

Haley -

Yes she listens to it , yes she would chose it if she was sober, and still does drunk off her socks. She's hyperfixated on the song and you're gonna listen to it.

They all groan when the song starts because WHAT? AGAIN? But you played it all day - you played it in the park - you played it on the beach - you played it... Haley you made us play it at the Flower Dance are you for real. Don't you dare turn it off though. We're leaving the planet and you can't come.

Sweaty, out of breath, hair all over her face, she belts it out to perfection, if it was on Guitar Hero she'd have 100% on all mode. (do people still play Guitar Hero? Is that still a thing?)

Each times, she attempts to death drop, to Emily's dismay. She does get closer. She'll get it. At least she stopped bashing her head first.
