I'm never a fan of when authors make the mc fall in love with the second guy by suddenly making the first love interest lose all their characteristics. They suddenly become boring and vanilla in comparison to the smoldering hero. Or they turn into the most abusive assholes ever when it's the most out of characteristic thing ever. Like come on people.. We can do better than that
