Guys can you really just stop trying to justify RBR's decision and make them look like a good team? They had the same problems for years and never did anything to fix them and I'm starting to suspect some of you don't do any research and base their entire views on what the media says or on your likes/dislikes of a driver. You are allowed to like who you like and dislike others but you should be able to see the reality too.

Your favourite driver is Lawson? Great have fun but please don't say he will take the fight up to Max because that just won't happen unless RBR will try to sabotage Max. Stop saying the decision made sense - it didn't, the only real reason behind it is that Liam is Helmut's pet (I don't mean it as an insult I mean it as Helmut creating his 'mini-me' with all the racism and other vices intact) and the team is fucking racist.

Yuki outperformed all his teammates and did EVERYTHING the team asked him to do (even that bloody therapy Helmut send him to because of 'anger issues' - why wasn't it ever anger issues with Max? Or Seb?), those are the facts. He has more experience and more skill, he gives better feedback and those are also facts. There is no mental gymnastics that would make 'Lawson being better option' logical - he has only half a season on his CV and ONE GOOD RACE, everything else is just picking unnecessary fights and being nasty to people who achieved much more than him.

And do you really want to pretend that the team who dangled some hope and promise of 'family' in front of Daniel just to kick him out mid season with no goodbye in a way so bad he cut all ties with them and doesn't want anything to do with the team anymore is a good team? The same team that is trying desperately to cling to Sergio's sponsors and hoping he falls for the 'we are family' bullshit after the way they treated him since April to make them more money with nothing for himself from this?

There is a reason most of the drivers don't talk about their times in RBR. Just look at how Carlos, Mark, Pierre, Alex, Daniel and now Sergio too were quick to distance themselves when the opportunity arrived and tell me the team isn't the problem.

Besides, do you feel comfortable siding with Helmut who is a proven racist and Horner who ruined a woman's life and decided to play the victim?

If the decision made any sense I wouldn't say anything but it just doesn't and if it's better for you to pretend it does instead of seeing the obvious racism then you are a part of the problem too.

To all the Boys I love - Carlos Poly - PART 2

Carlos stood just outside the paddock entrance, hands tucked tightly into the sleeves of his hoodie despite the rising spring heat. His heart had been thudding in his chest since the moment he landed. He hadn’t seen any of them yet. Not in person.

Not after the letters.

He knew.

He knew they had them. He’d checked the box the night before his flight and found it empty — the neat stack of paper that once held his most dangerous truths… gone.

And Ollie. Sweet, meddling, well-meaning traitor Ollie.

Carlos hadn’t confronted him. Couldn’t. He didn’t have it in him to be angry, not when he remembered the note stuck to the bottom of the now-empty box.

“You forgot to send your letters! Don’t worry, I posted them for you. Good luck, Paddock Papa 💌 -Ollie”

He pressed the heels of his hands into his eyes.

How the hell was he supposed to face them now?

Every name, every letter, every confession spun in his head like a carousel of doom: Lando. Charles. Max. Oscar. Daniel. George. Alex.

And, technically, George again. (“Fucking hell,” he muttered. “He got two. He’s going to kill me.”)

He took a deep breath, trying to steel himself. He'd imagined this moment differently. Maybe one of them — just one — would’ve come to him quietly. Maybe someone would’ve smiled, pulled him aside, whispered “I didn’t know you felt that way, but…”

But everything was too quiet. No texts. No calls. Not even the group chat. The silence was loud.

Carlos checked the mirror on the wall by the entrance, smoothing his hair, wiping his clammy palms on his jeans. He even practiced his smile.

He had to be brave. He had to act like he didn’t know. Like this was just another race weekend. Like his heart hadn’t been laid out, dissected, and possibly discarded.

The moment he stepped into the paddock, the air felt colder.

People were already watching him. He could feel it in the shift of shoulders, the sudden quiet when he passed by groups of engineers and media interns. Whispers.

And still no sign of them.

Carlos kept walking. Every step a prayer.

Just be okay. Just smile. Just survive this weekend.

He turned the corner— —and stopped.

Lando was there.

Holding the letter in his hand. Waiting.

Carlos’ stomach dropped.

He forced a smile anyway. “Lando, hey—”

But Lando didn’t smile back.

Carlos’s hope cracked at the edges.

He didn’t know it then, but by the end of the day, his heart would be in pieces. And the worst part?

He had no one to blame but himself.

“Lando,” Carlos smiles, too hopeful. Too open.

Lando doesn’t smile back.

“I thought I was special,” he says quietly, holding up the crumpled letter. “But George got one. So did Charles. Max. All of them.”

Carlos pales.

“I—Lando, I never meant—”

“Were you bored, Carlos? Just collecting hearts for fun? Do we mean nothing to you?” His voice cracks. “Was I just a joke?”

“No! I wrote those letters because I loved you. I love you all—”

“You what?”

Lando steps back like Carlos just slapped him.

“You love all of us? You think that makes it better?!”

Carlos reaches out, desperate, but Lando flinches away.

“I trusted you. I thought… I don’t know. I thought I mattered more.”

Then he turns and walks away.

Carlos stands there, trembling.

Charles doesn’t yell.

He walks up to Carlos slowly, eyes cool, unreadable.

“So it wasn’t just me.”

“Charles, please, it wasn’t like that—”

“Did you love me, or did you just write poetry for the whole damn grid?”

Carlos chokes out, “I loved you.”

Charles’ jaw tightens. “And you told Max the same thing. And Daniel. And Lando.”

“They were private,” Carlos whispers. “They were never supposed to be seen.”

“Oh, so you get to love in secret, and we get to be humiliated in public?”

Carlos opens his mouth, but Charles just shakes his head.

“You broke something I don’t think can be fixed.”

He walks off without another word.

Carlos’s eyes well up.

Max doesn’t say anything at first. He just stares.

Carlos shifts uncomfortably under his gaze.

“You gave me that letter,” Max finally says, “and I believed it. I believed every word.”

“You should. It was real.”

“You said you loved me like no one else saw you.”

“I meant it—”

“But you said the same damn thing to everyone else, Carlos!” Max snaps.

Carlos flinches.

“I don’t share,” Max spits, stepping closer. “Not in love. Not like that.”

“I wasn’t playing you, I swear—”

Max laughs, but it’s bitter. “Then what were you doing? Gathering souvenirs? Seeing who’d fall first?”

“I didn’t want anyone to fall. That’s why I never sent them!”

“Well, now we’re all drowning. Congrats.”

He storms away, and Carlos physically sags against the wall.

Oscar is colder than Carlos thought possible.

“I really thought you saw me,” he says flatly, crossing his arms.

“I did. I do.”

“But you also ‘see’ George. And Alex. And every other guy you kissed on paper.”

Carlos shakes his head. “It wasn’t physical—it was emotional. It’s not some stupid game—”

“Then why does it feel like I lost?”

Carlos is speechless.

Oscar gives a thin smile, cruel in how calm it is.

“You broke all our hearts in one go. That’s got to be a record.”

And he walks off, perfectly composed. Which somehow hurts more.

Carlos sees George walking and chases after him.

“George—wait—please—”

George doesn’t even break stride.

“You know I got two letters, right?” he says over his shoulder. “Thought that meant something. Thought maybe you were serious.”

“I was,” Carlos says breathlessly. “You’re different—”

“We were friends. And you used that.”

George stops suddenly and turns.

“You think I don’t know what unrequited love feels like? You think this was funny? You broke my trust. You made me think I mattered more.”

“You do,” Carlos whispers.

“No. I was just a chapter in your diary of flings-you-never-had.”

George walks away before Carlos can fall apart again.

Daniel doesn’t yell. He looks… broken.

He holds the letter like it’s glass, fragile and cutting.

“I read this and I cried, mate,” he says softly.

Carlos tears up. “Danny…”

“I believed you. For a second I thought—fuck, I thought this meant something. That I wasn’t imagining it. That we weren’t just memories.”

“You’re not,” Carlos pleads. “You’re everything.”

Daniel shakes his head. “But I wasn’t the only one. And that’s what kills me.”

Carlos tries to speak, but Daniel leaves before he can find the words.

Alex doesn’t even say hello.

“Tell me one thing,” he says, expression tight. “Did you mean it when you said I was light?”

Carlos nods, frantic. “I did. You are. I wasn’t lying.”

“Then why the hell did you tell the same thing to seven other people?”

Carlos whispers, “Because I love in too many directions. But it doesn’t make any of it less real.”

Alex swallows hard. “Then maybe you should’ve learned how to love properly before dragging all of us into your confusion.”

And he walks away.

………………..

Carlos is alone.

In his hotel room. The box is empty.

All the letters are gone.

And so are they.

They won’t return his texts. They won’t look at him. And maybe he deserves it.

He lies in bed, unable to sleep, blinking up at the ceiling.

The line from one of his own letters echoes in his mind:

“If I let myself love you, I don’t think I’d survive the fallout.”

And now, he isn’t sure he will.

One Week Later — Qualifying Day

The paddock wasn’t loud anymore.

It was sharp. Tense. Silent in the wrong ways. And everyone could feel it.

Conversations that used to be easy were now layered with suspicion, as if every word was a test. Eyes darted. Smiles were fake. And Carlos?

Carlos walked through it all like a ghost.

Every driver who got a letter now stood carefully apart from the others. No more joking shoulder bumps. No more hugs. No more late-night sim racing trash talk. Just war.

Lando barely acknowledged anyone anymore. He was all clipped nods and raised eyebrows.

When Oscar came into the McLaren hospitality, Lando got up and left without a word, brushing past him with just enough shoulder to make it sting. Oscar didn’t flinch. He was too proud.

But when he passed Max later, he muttered, “Guess some people just needed eight safety nets.”

Lando heard. He didn’t respond. He didn’t have to. The next time he passed George in the hallway, he said, "He even wrote you twice, huh? Must've been desperate."

Max didn’t yell. He didn’t throw anything. He just turned glacial. His usual fire became cold steel.

He’d always been territorial, but now it was venom.

Charles wouldn’t look at anyone. He kept his sunglasses on indoors, his jaw locked, arms folded. He didn't speak unless spoken to.

He walked past Carlos in the Ferrari garage without even a glance, even when their shoulders brushed. When asked about strategy, he kept it professional, clipped. Cold.

Oscar became sarcasm personified. “You all mad because you thought you were the only one?” he quipped in the Red Bull motorhome, fully aware Max was behind him.

Max said nothing, but the way his fist clenched was enough.

Oscar didn’t stop. “Honestly, Carlos played us all. I should’ve known. The guy flirts like he breathes.”

And just like that they started hating the person they say they love just because they were not the only one.

George was bitter. He didn’t even try to hide it.

“I got two letters,” he snapped. “That’s how thorough he was. Covered all his bases.”

“Maybe he just had a lot of feelings,” His mind whispered.

George laughed once, short and sharp. “He had too many.”

Carlos stood there in the center of it all, watching the dominoes fall. And every crashing piece sounded like his own name, like every part of him had been weaponized.

He hadn’t played them. He hadn’t meant to hurt anyone. He’d just loved — too much, too quietly, too secretly.

Now they all hated each other.

And him.

Now since I’m tearing up for Charles. And this race was considerably boring. Here’s my quick analysis because there wasn’t much to analyse to be honest.

Kevin Magnussen is on THIN ICE. He’s being a track terrorist, that anyone near him is genuinely doesn’t feel safe. And Nico was doing good considering that penalty, slowly building his way into the race. So was Checo, but Kevin just had to go and ruin it for all 3, as well as any type of potential for a strategy race today.

Alpine was good, despite Esteban’s crash, but they are building. What genuinely concerns me however, is the fact that THIS was the racing incident not the other one. And Alpine should see that, especially since Esteban was the one who’s been taking the car places since the start and outperforming Pierre.

Aston were meh, not good, not bad, just okay, and I can assure you, VCARB are coming for them slowly but surely.

VCARB making slow but sure steps that are making the difference. Yuki being so good with strategically keeping Alex behind him. Daniel overtakes. The’re getting there and could be at this rate, competing for p5 in constructors.

Mercedes did well (unfortunately) with George specifically, maintaining those tyres, keeping Max behind him, Lewis also getting more confident in that car. A slow and steady rise.

Williams did well considering the circumstances. Alex points, that’s a huge leap, but also, Logan did really good in the race, with his overtakes and all in a non-upgraded overweight Williams. Getting better and not the bottom markers is surely good.

McLaren played the mind games really well today. With the way he fixed Oscar’s car in the Red Flag, to keeping Lando on Carlos’ ankle almost the whole race, yeah, they really are becoming a threat in the constructors.

Red Bull, my team. You know that feeling when you’re mad at someone but you love them and can’t stay mad or accept any backlash unless it was with the intent of love. That’s me with Red Bull right now. Like yes, the car was stiff and needs work, especially with Ferrari and McLaren being so close on their tails. But this weekend was one where all external factors worked against Red Bull, with Max hitting the wall at the worst ever time in Q3, Checo being 0.5 seconds away from Q2. The crash, that I am grateful and thankful that Checo was able to get up on both feet by himself after it became of how horrendous it was. And therefore fucking a strategy race. It was written in the stars for The Prince of Monaco that all of this happens to the team at the same time. But also, credit where credit is due, the pitting call from Hannah was chef’s kiss, because it made Max more confident and he didn’t loose places. On the topic if Max however. I can’t stand his ass (jk I love him but I’m mad) simply because he could have overtaken George, but I guess he wasn’t 100% with the car that he won’t end up in the wall. But what I’m sure if is that he’s mad with today, from his side, from his childhood rival’s side, I can bet my money that he’s proud of him. But now Red Bull will need to work so hard in those 2 weeks to Canada, to improve the car. And Checo will need to do better these upcoming races because another fuck up could be his seat. And the fight for this seat is fierce.

Finally the team of the hour, who did everything right this weekend, gave the boys a car they can trust, and gave their golden boy his dream win. Seriously we can’t say anything about Ferrari with the way they handled the weekend, and hats off to them. And of course our Predestinato, who made us all cry with his win, which was extremely emotional and no one could have been upset with it, he drive his heart out today, and luck was on his side to make it. So yeah, Charles was beyond amazing today, and so was Carlos who put pressure on Oscar to pay that Singapore debt that Charles did for him.

But yeah, the race again wasn’t an entertaining one, racing and strategy wise, but again another emotional one (that needed Max honestly on that Podium ESPECIALLY with Charles) but he did it, he broke the curse and made us cry. Now time to chill, regroup and onto Canada

For those not familiar, this collection focuses on Norrix through the eyes of others, specifically how long it takes for some people to figure out they're together (some figure it out quickly, others have to be explicitly told). It's mainly an excuse for me to write everyone being happy about Norrix.

I'm gonna be totally honest, I haven't actually touched the Outsider POV collection in a couple of months. 😅 But I definitely plan to continue it! I started the Zak installment a while back but got kind of stuck and didn't get very far, so I think I'm gonna start over with a new idea (I'm still keeping the idea of Zak being like "whoa I had no idea about this," and Andrea being like "what on earth do you mean you hadn't figured it out already??"). I also got a great idea from an anon for the Carlos installment, thank you again anon! I will definitely be using it.

The Adventures of Peanut the Paddock Pup

The next installment of this series, Peanut's first day at the MTC, is coming along slowly but surely! I think there's a couple scenes I need to either edit or remove to get the story un-stuck, but it's still cooking nicely. Peanut gets to meet Zak and Andrea, the garage crew, and Oscar, and then, when Lando gets stressed after a frustrating sim session, he snuggles with him to make him feel better. He takes his job as Lando's best friend very seriously!

As I've said before, this series is going to be 90% fluff, but not everything is sunshine and rainbows. I've teased the fic where Peanut stops a saboteur a couple of times. I'm not sure how likely it would really be for someone to be able to sneak into the garage and get close enough to mess with the cars in the middle of a race weekend, but I'm sure there are ways if someone is really really determined, so bear with me for now. A quick teaser of the fic: on a rainy qualifying day at Spa, Peanut is chilling inside the garage when all of a sudden, he spots someone he doesn't recognize. The person does something to Oscar's car (messing with the brakes) but Peanut stops him before he can get to Lando's. The man is carted away by security while the mechanics try to fix what he did to Oscar's car so he can get out for quali. In the meantime, Lando praises Peanut for being a good boy who spotted danger and reacted to protect them, and Oscar gives him a very big and grateful hug for quite possibly saving his life.

On a fluffier note, other planned installments include Peanut's first day in the paddock, meeting other paddock dogs like Roscoe and Leo, a Norrix vacation to Finland from his POV, Norrix coming out from his POV, and maybe even a version of the events of (Puppy) Love At First Sight written from Peanut's POV! There may also be a story where Oscar gets a dog too and Peanut becomes friends with them, but I can't decide what kind of dog Oscar should get yet so that one's only a maybe. There are a couple other less-than-fluffy fics planned too, namely one where Martijn has a health scare but Peanut senses it before either of his humans do, and ends up saving Martijn a lot of suffering and woe because of it. And there's one more fic currently on my list too, but that's one that I don't want to spoil yet! For now all I'll say is that Peanut is a very good and heroic boy in that one.

There might be other miscellaneous fluffy blurbs with Peanut. This is one of my favorite AUs to write moments of random fluff in. So if you're ever craving some puppy fluff, I'll always be more than happy to write some!

Just imagine little Lando whining to EVERYONE - from other littles to caregivers, about "getting hit." It becomes a whole thing. Max blaming little Charles, little Charles assuming Max did it and is trying to take the blame off himself. Oscar doesn't know who to blame, he's just focused on reassuring an overdramatic Lando that no, his cheek is definitely not broken and yes, all of his teeth are most definitely still there. Daniel is teasingly asking Lando who he needs fo fight, flexing his muscles. And Alex is the last name they expect to leave Lando's lips.

And cue a big bro Alex, who assumed everything was fine until he got cornered by everyone wanting to know what had happened, apologizing between laughter and reassuring Lando that he didn't mean to, he just didn't see him. (He doesn't mention Lando walked into HIM, he knows that would trigger a tantrum from the way Lando is pouty, arms crossed, barely acknowledging him at all). It still definitely takes both some tickles and cuddles to get Lando to laugh with him instead of pouting, though. Not to mention all of the other apologies going on in the background from all of the littles previously playing the blame game. - 👻

can totally imagine him stumbling into Daniel’s chest with teary eyes, clutching his cheek and crying about “being hit.”

Daniel tries to extract more information but Lando’s too busy moping into Daniel’s chest and clutching at him as if he were to disappear. and so his eyes flicker onto Max who’s watching the scene semi-sourly, and Max, in desperate need of an early bedtime and some Daddy cuddles-Max, could possibly be the culprit.

Max must sense the accusation because he immediately deflects and points at Charles because well Charles entered right after Lando so surely that’s case solved.

but Charles denies, and it’s more finger pointed and Daniel desperately tries to stop an all consuming group tantrum from happening when Lando wails that it’s Alex who assaulted him.

and so they’re all definitely confused, including Alex. cue a dramatic re-telling of what happened, Alex assuring Lando he didn’t see and didn’t know, apologizing nonetheless. and Carlos trapping Lando against Daniel’s chest so he can pepper his face with kisses to “fix it.”

Story: 5 out of 5 Smut: 1000 out of 5 (holy hell, the smut!)

Holy. Hell. Where do I even start?

This duet is possibly the filthiest I’ve ever read and I loved every second of it. All of my questions from book one were answered here in book two, and boy was it a rollercoaster to get those answers.

The love that all five of the main characters have for one another made my heart melt. The drama had me on the edge of my seat and my heart pounding a little too quickly, but it was well worth it.

Friendships were lost (good riddance) and others blossomed. Again, I loved every second of it.

I highly recommend everyone read this book!

I think the main think that we should address about the Alpha Tauri debacle is that nothing good will come out of it and this whole thing was set up to fail from the start.

Let me explain.

No one apparently at RedBull seemed fully confident in Nyck. Most convincing seemingly came from Max putting a good word in for a friend.

Alpha Tauri was bound to be a disaster with the one constant they have leaving at the end of this year, Franz Tost, which wil be the final nail in the coffin. This team has been so consistent for many years because Franz is arguably the best team principal as he builds drivers up. Not only does he managed to get them back into a place where they are believing in themselves again but by doing this he automatically makes them better drivers because they learn while not having any pressure. He works with encouragement a lot of the time and he is one of the main reason why so many drivers got to the place where we are calling them good again. Him leaving was doubt to cause this team to recline especially because of the way they are run as a secondary RB team.

Alpha Tauri has always worked as a step ladder where they are only temporary before a driver either leaves for RedBull or leaves RedBull behind to go to the midfield.

But they at least managed to always have a driver that they could use as a secondary RedBull driver which let's be honest here is what anyone in that academy will be until Max leaves F1.

They abandoned that policy though simply because Alex and Pierre left. I think there was always some believe that Alex or Pierre will be kept there for a bit to train the younger one who will ultimately step up to Max, be there for a year or two before potentially becoming the main driver once Max leaves. But then Pierre and Alex left and they didn't have a driver to be that mentor anymore. No other driver from the current grid is a.) experienced enough for that and b.) willing to leave the team. The only three close enough would be Val (who will probably like Kimi retire at Alfa), Kevin (who is chained to Haas until the devil rips that contract up) or Nico (who at that time already probably had the talks with Haas.)

I am not discrediting Yuki or seeing he can't do it but the problem was Yuki isn't fixed. They wanted to kick him out but then saw him perform better and let him stick around which is where the problem begins.

The whole purpose is to have drivers from AT that can be pushed to RB alongside Max. Yuki has been slandered so much and threatened so often to be dropped that it would just seem weird to put him there. Add to that no guaranteed contract and especially now he would jump to any other team the second he gets because it is the smartest move.

Anyway, here's the dilemma. Yuki and Nyck are not your typical young rookie/older mentor relationship and Nyck also again was never a fixed thing in RB. The move to even sign him, knowing they will lose Yuki in a year or 2 is stupid. Rightfully they should have put a rookie who could learn under Yuki and then grow to step up once not only Franz but Yuki leave which they didn't because well.

Undoubtedly Vips was supposed to be that before shit went down.

Now there's Liam who also is in this weird limbo off many just drivers where they sort of just push F1 out of their mind. He's been doing so much other stuff that he is decent in so really, the possibility to go back to F1 was slim especially with an already signed contract.

The whole F2 drivers are all either too inexperienced or truly just don't stick out and after Yuki would they really go for some that had an average junior career again?

And anyone else is not an option with the inexperience glaring.

Now we come to the big problem.

RedBull have always had the golden boy thing. It was clear since his Monza win that Seb would be at that team. It was clear they would only win with him. Then after Seb, I truly believe Daniel was brought in as Webber replacement and place holder until they would finally shift to Verstappen who they planned to pushed probably since 2014. No driver really stood a chance between the Seb/Max transition because they weren't meant to, simple as that. Now, the interesting thing is Max bringing up retirement and no doubt running away with the next 2 or 3 titles probably. What people also tend to forget that in 2025 Max has been in the sport for 10 years. Not to mention he was as a literal teen. He was forced to grow up and be that star. Would it be really surprising if after establishing himself among the greats he would want to be somewhere else where he could win? No.

This now begs the question of who will be there next golden boy and well really this is what it ultimately boils down to.

While I do think Liam is a great driver you can't help but wonder that the reason they didn't choose him is simply because they don't think he will carry that greatness over to F1 and the lack of trust makes it obvious he isn't the next golden boy.

Apparently Enzo is a RB junior driver? Didn't know that but yeah it ain't going to be him either. Would be happy if he even got a chance at Haas for a season they will teams refuse to give rookies a chance.

Jak Crawford has a pretty unspectacular carting/racing record so there's that.

Isack Hadjar is still young but compared to most of the RB former talent pool again pretty uneventful.

Dennis Haugher looks okay but still compared to the achievements required to be golden boy probably not?

Ayumu Iwasa is apparently the most hyped? He has a good record from what I could find I guess? Stands out that he mostly switched between series so maybe that's more damaging to me.

For the little good, Formula experience he has and the regional titles he won I am surprised more people aren't considering him? To me he sticks out most from the F2 drivers but then again looking at talent pool we have had none of them truly feel like they are what RedBull saw in Max and Seb.

There also the F3 drivers of course so let's look at them. On a second thought let's not because really nothing stand out and you can barely find stuff.

For the F4 drivers you can truly not find any statistics so yeah.

Why did I make this long detour?

To show you that really RedBull doesn't have junior drivers they seem confident in or that have the promise their main stars, Seb and Max had. But even drivers like Pierre, Alex, Daniel showed overall more impressive or at least interesting records than most of the RB juniors.

In that regard getting Nyck makes sense. It doesn't make sense though considering that the possibility that Max leaves in the next 5-8 years is inevitable and there's no one they have who will stay long to carry teams leader. Perez will leave, Nyck was never supposed to be longer than maybe 2 or 3 years, Yuki probably will move to a midfield team and Alex likely will become a driver at another top team. They should have promoted a junior or even Liam up to see how they do. Give them 2-3 years at AT to see development while also getting a second junior after a year or 2 in that team so they can learn to develope as driver and team leader if they show potential.

Yet they went for Nyck, knowing the incredible shit AT is in and the unstable environment it would be + they already had no faith in him.

And before I see anyone suggesting Daniel: no. Yuki was bound to step up as team leader and supposed to try out the mentor role. That is what they wanted him to be. With Daniel that would have never worked out. + He made it very clear he wanted nothing below Alpine so of course they didn't consider him. He didn't make himself an option.

Anyway the long story short:

This entire line up was bound to fail and is undoubtedly the first of many steps that will lead to 90% of RedBull juniors being tossed aside without a chance. This is the first of many reactions to the fact that the RedBull will not promote their juniors, they will instead discard the problem and presumably get Norris once Max makes it clear that he isn't going to be racing much longer. There's no doubt in my mind none of the current RedBull juniors will never be considered an option and that the next RB golden boy will be someone of the current grid and not of the RB family.

Unpredictable Hungary never fails

It’s Saturday. It’s raceweekend. It’s Qualitime. A real wet one today.

I’m writing this review whilst watching the Qualifying this time. Let’s see how it works out :D

But one of the highlights of today happened during the FP3 session. Nicholas Latifi was the fastest guy on track. What the actual fuck? Charles didn’t belive it too. At least he asked his mechanic about Latifis time and if he was also on inters. And Alex got P3. Honestly it looked so wrong on the result screen xD 

But let’s see what they are dooing in the Qualifying now. Could be interesting with the mixed conditions in Hungary this afternoon. The track is dry enough to use slicks but there are some really dark clouds in the sky. So you never know if there might will be rain.

Q1:

I’m  glad that Aston Martin could fix Sebs car after his crash earlier today. Would be a shame if Seb had to skip Qualifying due of a broken car. I want him to have a good last season. As good as it can be in a Aston Martin.

The last minutes were thrilling! The track got better and better. I literally screamed at McLaren to let Daniel out again, when he was 15th and everyone became faster. There is no time to stay in the box guys!!!!! But in the same moment he went out of the box. Please Mclaren I can’t do this everytime! But he landed on P7 and Lando P5. Okay go on like this but please don’t make it more exiting than it has to be. 

Noo Seb is out. He sounded so sad and it broke my heart into pieces :(. Lance showed Q2 was absolutly possible.

Both Alpha Tauri didn’t make it into Q2 as well. Gaslys time was deleted because he exeedet track limits.Let’s hope he can gain a few positions tomorrow but I don’t see him in the points sadly.

To end Q1 with something nice: Hamilton and Russell finished the first Qualifying session on P1 and P2! Good job mercboys

Q2:

Lando started the second session with a fantastic lap. It’s always lovely to see a McLaren on P1 even when it’s just for a short time.But P6 isn’t that bad. And Daniel’s fastest lap was pretty close to Landos time! YES! That’s my boy!!!!!! Q3 BABY!

They deleted Checos lap time at first due of exeeding track limits but he got the timed lap back and I would say it was the right desicion I don’t think i was off the track at all.But it didn’t help. He ended on P11 because he had traffic (Magnussen) in the last lap. But this don’t explain Checos huge gap to Max. I hope he will figures out what’s wrong this weekend.

I’m sad that Mick and Kevin were both out after Q2 but in the moment Haas is struggeling very much and I wouldn’t expect them in Q3 anyways. I hope that Hass will find out how to get the best out of the updated car as soon as possible.

Q3:

The best thing of Q3 is, that Daniel will start in the top ten. And he ended P9. Okay he was benefited of max having engine issues and without that he would be p10 but I’m a happy little papaya girl right now <3

What an amazing lap by Carlos in the beginning!

Max messages at the team radio was shocking. But to be honest I wouldn’t mind if Ferrari could get some points back in the championchip. But it’s sad to see Max on P10. 

GEORGE GOT POLE!!!!!!! WOW! Who would thought? Merc pole on Ferrari soil. Not me to be honest. As much as I want to see Charles win.... I wouldn’t mind if George will win the race tomorrow either!

Lando is a beast. P4. This guy is amazing!

A really lovely top 10 for the race tomorrow. An Hungary is always good for a surprise. I’m more excited for tomorrow than I would have though I’d be. Lets hope for an exciting and surprising last race before we head into the summer break. Se you tomorrow!

How to make characters fall in love

There are several things you should think about when you want two characters to fall in love with each other.

1. What kind of romance do you want them to have?

This seems unnatural to think about but it’s important: Do you want them to fall in love because they’re alike? Because they’re complete opposites? Is it a Romeo-and-Julia kind of romance or an unhealthy relationship they have, even before they fall in love in the first place? Here are some examples:

Rey Palpatine and Kylo Ren/Ben Solo: Unhealthy. You don’t just forgive a mass murderer and have a healthy relationship with one (Weird, I know). Yes, Ben tried to redeem himself, but the main point in a relationship isn’t “fixing” the other person.

Magnus Chase and Alex Fierro: Healthy. They are actually in love and it’s not because they want to change the other person significantly.

Severus Snape and Lily Potter: Unhealthy. He had a crush on her and it made him a horrible person, but he made it seem like it was other peoples’ fault (James, Harry etc.)

2. What do the characters want?

Next, you should try to sort out what the characters individually are looking for in a partner. Romantic attraction is something that can be very different from person to person and has lots to do with how they were raised and what their experiences are. If you already know who you want to be together, at least try to make it fit. Here are some examples:

A person with “daddy issues” is more likely to be attracted to people that are older than them. That is because they are subconsciously looking for someone to replace their father figure. This doesn’t have to mean they only get with people that are way too old for them, it is just a preference that can be observed.

A person with [!TW!] abusive parents, relatives or teachers, or someone who has been bullied, is more likely to be attracted to “bad” people because they have learned a different defintion of love when they were young. That doesn’t have to mean they only get into unhealthy relationships, it just means that they have a different perceiving of love.

Also, usually a person is attracted to someone who reminds them of “first lovers” like their parents. However, it can also be the complete opposite, if e.g. someone hates their parents.

3. How to hint romance

Even before the characters directly realize they are in love, there are ways to hint that they’re fancying each other to the reader before it’s explicitly stated. That’s, however, a tricky process, as we wouldn’t want the reader to know too much, right? Here are some ways to hint romance before the characters even know themselves:

Being protective of each other. For example, if the characters get in danger, A would subconsciously make sure B is okay first, or if A gets insulted, B would be the first one to get angry.

Noticing appareance more. For example, with a first-person narrator/3rd-person selective narrator from A’s perspective, A would spend more time describing what B is wearing without using the “oh no I’m staring”-clichée (or use it if you want, it’s just not as subtle). That way, they also notice little changes in the other’s appareance.

Subconsiously testing limits. That means teasing, joking around and subtle flirting, even if you’re not aware that you’re doing it. People do that to find out how far they can go with the other and how they react.

Remembering tiny details. For example, remembering each others’ favorite sort of ice cream or knowing what the others’ favorite color is.

Here’s a little example on how to do that, with A(sh) fancying B(ay) and B having a crush on A, written from A’s perspective:

When I arrived at the coffee shop on 5th Avenue, barely with my shoe laces bound because I got in such a hurry, Bay, Cora and Daniel were already waiting for me, sitting outside under one of the yellow umbrellas. Slightly panting, I let myself fall on the empty chair at their table.

“Who said you could sit with us?”, Bay asked, teasingly taking a judging sip from their coffee. Two sugars, as always, I guessed.

“You want me to go?”, I replied, raising my eyebrows.

Bay chuckled. “Here’s the menu”, they said, handing it over.

When I reached out for it, I noticed they had painted their nails... red? That was something else, usually they were black.

“So, why did I have to get here so fast?”, I asked, remembering the message Daniel sent me.

“Oh, well”, he said, “We just thought you’d like to hang with us. Also, check this out!”

He took off his jacket and revealed a shirt of his favorite band. I nodded appreciatively. At least he switched his shirt every once in a while. If I wasn’t mistaken, he was even wearing the same jeans. I never understood how he could just live like that- and how Cora was able to put up with it. Love, I guess.

“At least you switched your shirt this week”, Bay said while scrunching their nose in overdramatic disgust, an echo of my thoughts. Of course, their outfit was well picked out, black skinny jeans, a red flannel and the usual hairstyle. Something else I would never understand: How could someone look so elegant while also looking so chill?!

“So, Ash”, Cora said, pointing to the menu I was still holding, “Picked something?”

“Don’t bother.” Daniel rolled his eyes. “She’s going to pick the same cupcake she eats all the time.”

“Nothing better than a good cupcake”, Bay said, “What will you pick, the same pie you eat all the time?”

“Nothing better than a good pie”, Cora repeated what they had just said, but she winked at me as she said it.

Notice how Bay was teasing Ash, yet defended her when Daniel commented on her order, and how Ash immediately noticed that Bay had painted their nails a different color? I tried to not make it obvious that they like each other, even though it wasn’t hard to tell because I put so much into that little of text.

4. How do the characters find out?

There are, as I like to put it, two ways to make the characters “click”: The boom way, and the soft way. Which one of those you use is your decision, even though you should make sure it fits the plot of the book.

The boom way: In a nutshell, something grave happens that makes the characters realize how important they are to each other. That can be a ton of things, e.g. one of them almost dying, them having a fight, them having to split up in a dangerous situation or even someone else telling them how obvious it is.

The soft way: When there is no actual event that has the characters like “oh no I love them”, this is how it could go instead. Usually, A would realize that they love B when B does nothing “special” at all, maybe just singing along to their favorite song in the car, and A would just think “Yep, call it love I guess”. This way is much more calm and gentle than the other (and, in my opinion, a little harder to write, but thus also rarer in literature, which makes it interesting).

I’m terribly sorry this took me so long, I had a few problems researching for this post because romance isn’t really my strongest side :)

At the beginning of S19 you could tell they were using the same formula as Greys for example but not only; the voice over style changing according to which character was the protagonist of the episode or at least who had the most challenging “storyline” and psychological impact in the story, the main lead was clearly Andy with her supporting BFF, with their own struggles and friendships, backstory, and they way the story developed, inserting personal “quest” into the daily firefighter “case”, it was simple writing but it was fluid, it worked.

Now if you ask anybody to point to which is the main lead of the show I think many ppl wouldn’t be able to, and if you think in terms of storyline who has the most predominant one, it’s Sullivan, so we could almost say he’s the main lead of a show and that’s crazy!

It’s like if after 4 season of Greys the main lead would have become Alex Karev, lol no thank you!

The other characters have sideline stories that maybe take center in 1 episode and then it’s like everything is forgotten and the writers are like: “wait we forgot about them” and they go an add a random scene that make zero sense especially for Carina & Tremmet, their stories are so disconnected and we kinda have to guess wtf is going on, the on screen scenes they give us do not helps to fill the gaps on what happens not on screen.

We only see glimpses of the old characters and friendships, whatever the problem is the budget or bts drama, writers of this level should be able to create a more compelling and organic story, alas they can’t.

Of course we all would want to see different things, and to just say “the writing sucks,this would be better” it’s a be simplistic and not fair, I get it, but when everyone can see the problems, it’s beyond repair imo.

In this case I would say 50% of the problems are writings choices, 15% acting choices especially Grey and every scene he’s in, I notice in the scene with Jaina he’s not so flamboyant, I think it may be a involuntary change of acting when he’s around actresses of the level of Stefania, Barrett and Danielle, that are very physical in terms of acting emotions. I’m using the wrong wording here but it’s like he’s trying to compensate his lack of acting talent by emulating their emotional and physical acting style, without success, so by all means, let him act around Janina cause somehow it works better for him and I always though they kinda match each other and they had good chemistry!!The rest I would say is 20% budget cut and 15% bts drama.

Certain things you cannot fix in writing, I get it, but this is ridiculous, I’m at a point I almost have to force myself to watch S19 especially when it’s about certain characters.

Anyway I’m not saying that I could write or do any better, especially not knowing all the facts, but JFC they really lowering the bar with each episodes here…

I get what you're saying and it's definitely true! Though I just have to say I love and miss Alex Karev lol I think I'd rather him be the main than Meredith at this point :P

But yeah, I think everyone has noticed that once Season 3 started and Krista took over and things shifted more towards an ensemble instead of Andy being a lead, the whole way of story telling and everything changed. But I think some of it was for the better and had potential to be better but like you said they don't really execute it properly and they seem to focus on one person at a time and then a lot of times people are just in the background and forgotten about.

It does feel like Sullivan is the main of the show right now which is...ew. But that's probably also because Andy is at another station at the moment. But it also felt like in Season 3, Maya took priority with her being captain and then her whole dad abusive storyline and then in Season 4...I don't really know if there was a specific main? I felt like it was balanced for the most part, which was weird because considering it was a covid season, it just seemed way more thought out and done better than this season is. So I guess they seem to be taking turns in a way on who they give the focus too...which I guess is how it would be in an ensemble but they can't just be forgetting about characters & storylines along the way.

They aren't good at the whole balance thing, they've been able to do it like in a few episodes every now and then, but that's it. So then it makes it hard for all the episodes to connect together and it's almost like they're all stand alone episode especially when they each end up focusing on different things instead of continuing along with a storyline so it's just a mess. And yes, some actors do work better with others and it's pretty obvious this season more than in previous seasons. I agree about Jaina & Grey for sure while others can pretty much make it work with anyone (Danielle, Stefania, Boris, Barrett, even Jay)

Alex wakes from fitful sleep feeling a little less exhausted, breathing a little more easily. His body generates a little magic while he sleeps, enough that the frigid grip inside his core loosens just a fraction. And the first thing he must do is give that minimal reserve up for his interrogator.

He wakes, and he sees her, and he knows that holding back is out of the question.

Even in her sleep her face is creased with distress. Little tremors run through her, and Alex still hears the feeble voice that cried for mercy in the night.

He must be the kind stranger for her that he has needed so many times in his life.

(Daniel was that stranger once, and Anders. And Alex has betrayed them, in so many ways.)

He gets up, because otherwise the nightmares will drag him back under.

She wakes gasping as he moves close to her. Naked fear and pain are clear in her eyes for a second before distrust closes her expression off again.

“I-I’m going to heal you again, interrogator?” “-- please,” she agrees, looking up at him with anxious hope.

He couldn’t say no if he wanted to.

So he lays his hands on her ribs, and takes stock.

Her need soaks up every drop of magic he has every day, and yet there is still so much left to do. He has to fix her hands soon. Every little thing he has to do for her is demeaning, and she is interrogator and he is -- he can’t --

He lives in terror of her fury when she decides that she will not tolerate this humiliation any more. 

If he fixes her hands, he won't have to do everything for her any more. That would be better, for both of them.

She lies very, very still, barely breathing, as he puts his hands over hers. There is so much damage. Taryn -- cruel Taryn -- broke only bones, but she broke almost every bone, and the sharp edges have cut into the soft tissues where the muscle spasms pulled them out of alignment. The splints have held, but everything is still badly swollen, bruised and inflamed.

Alex breathes in, deciding where to start. He should be able to lose himself in the puzzle of putting the pieces back where they belong. He should be able to find satisfaction in undoing the damage, making the tissues whole again. It's what he does. It's what he is. 

But when he tries to concentrate on what these hands should look like, he sees them holding a knife to cut him. He sees her strong, calloused fingers digging into his broken arm. Her hands gripping his, bending fingers back until they snap. When they were whole, these hands were confident holding the whip and the hot iron. 

Shaking, Alex pulls away with magic still unspent. 

Maybe he won't fix her hands yet. 

He's done a little to set them on the path to healing straight. He’s moved bone shards into the right places, and reconnected damaged tendons. They won’t heal wrong if he just doesn’t continue.

Maybe he’ll come back to her hands later.

It isn't as if there aren't plenty of other breaks crying for his attention. Her right leg will still soak up all his magic and more if he lets it. Her ribs are only mostly healed. There are several breaks in each arm that he’s barely touched.

In the end he works mostly on her feet. They were as badly broken as her hands, and many things will be easier if he can get her to the point where she can walk without needing to lean most of her weight on him. Feet are as complex as hands, and this time he is able to focus on the intricacies of bone and ligaments. He exhausts himself to trembling, to the point of blood in his mouth before he lets himself stop.

"That's a-all I have, interrogator. I-I'm sorry, that's all for now." "S'okay," she mutters. "Thank you."

She looks so fragile and overwhelmed like this, as much a victim as any witch he's seen beaten on the street. For a moment it’s hard to see his quiet, cooperative patient as the hard-faced woman who beat him. 

"I'm sorry," he repeats, meaning it. "I wish I could do more but I c-can't." "I believe you," she says, and the familiar words make her interrogator again.  Alex's breath catches and sets him off coughing. He barely hears her next words as he tries to stifle the painful, wheezing spasms. "'Sides,” she says, “it's your choice, isn't it."

Defending the women of LOST/Sexism in LOST

People say they don’t like Kate Austen because she’s “annoying” “can’t choose between Jack and Sawyer” “always wants to join every single mission”. Kate has way bigger things to worry about than sorting out her romantic feelings. Yes, she is developing feelings for both Jack and Sawyer, but she doesn’t have time to figure them out while trying to survive on the island. And the fact that people don’t like her because of the whole “I’m coming with you” thing is a little ridiculous, because they’re hating Kate for wanting to protect her friends and do whatever she can to help. You know who else does that? Jack. But plenty of people love him for those very same reasons. Yeah, a lot of Kate’s character was centered around the love triangle, but that isn’t the character’s fault, it the writers’s.

Then there’s Claire Littleton. People always complain about her “my baby!” thing, but... she only actually says that a few times, AND, if your child was taken from you or you thought your child was going to be hurt, wouldn't you be worried out of your mind? Wouldn’t you want to do anything to help them? People also criticize Claire for her entire Season 6 arc. She was alone, on the island, thinking everyone had abandoned her, with only the MIB for company. She was also tortured by the temple Others, who she thought had taken her child. Claire was a single mother who just wanted to keep her son safe, give her a break. 

Sun-Hwa Kwon is a character who actually doesn’t receive that much hate, but there is still the fact that people don’t like her because she left Ji Yeon to go back to the island for Jin. Here’s the thing: Sun had no way of knowing what was would happen on the island. She had no way of knowing that Jin had time traveled to the past, and she had no way of knowing what would happen with the MIB/Locke. She thought that she would be able to go to the island, bring Jin and the others back, and the two of them would reunite with Ji Yeon. And then in the submarine incident, Sun didn't want Jin to stay. She wanted him to live and take care of Ji Yeon. It was Jin who made the decision to die with her, not Sun.

Shannon Rutherford is a very unlikable character. Even I don’t enjoy her character, or Boone, and that is a view shared by many other people in the fandom. Many people call her selfish, spoiled, and just plain rude. And she was all of those things, but that wasn’t her entire character. Remember, they had all just been through a plane crash, landed on an island with no chance of rescue. Also, friendly reminder that she was only 20 years old. She was scared, and her way of coping with that was to try to do something normal. Let’s not forget, in Pilot, Part 2, she volunteered to go on the mission to fix the transceiver. She was constantly feeling useless, and it didn’t help that other characters, especially Boone, were constantly putting her down and mocking her. When she started to see Walt, she genuinely made an attempt to help him, even though she wasn’t sure if he was even there. Her death was untimely, and I wished we had gotten to see her grow more as a person. Also, her death was used for shock value and to further Sayid’s character development.

And now, one of the most hated characters of LOST, Ana Lucia Cortez. Now, while the characters I mentioned above were shit on and criticized, Ana Lucia was absolutely hated by the fandom. People hated her attitude, her toughness, her dislike of most of the people around her, and the fact that she killed Shannon (who, by the way, was just as disliked by many Ana Lucia haters). You know who else has a similar attitude? Who has that same toughness and dislike of people? Who else killed someone? That would be Sawyer, a fan-favorite, white male character who is beloved by the fandom. Now, for the last point, what I am comparing here is Ana Lucia killing Shannon to Sawyer killing the man he thought was Frank Sawyer in Australia, right before flight 815. Ana Lucia killed Shannon because she was trying to protect the people she was leading (including Sawyer!) from who she thought was the Others, and killing Shannon was an accident. Sawyer killed the man completely on purpose and out of revenge. Oh, and it wasn’t even the right person. Yes, I am aware of the man Ana killed long before flight 815 out of revenge, but if we can take her very small amount of character development, in which she refused to kill Henry Gale, a known Other at that point. Whereas Sawyer was still willing to kill a bunch of people in Season 6, the end of his character arc. And yet, Sawyer is still in most people’s top five characters lists (just to be clear, I do not hate Sawyer at all, and this is not anti Sawyer but pro Ana Lucia). You may argue that people love Sawyer because of his character development, which I do agree with. However, Ana Lucia was never given the chance to have Sawyer-like character development because she was killed off in the same season that she was introduced in. She wasn’t even allowed to be in the church in the flash-sideways, and she didn’t get to “move on.” Ana Lucia deserved way better than the death for shock value that she got.

Next up on the list is Juliet Burke. She, like Sun, also isn’t the target of a lot of hate, but there are still things that need defending. The first thing is, of course, her sudden change of mind when it came to detonating the hydrogen bomb in Season 5. Yes, it was selfish of her to endanger everyone on the island just because of the way Sawyer looked at Kate. But if the plan did actually work, which she thought it would, that meant she would lose everything she had gained over the past few years, including Sawyer. Juliet is incredibly kind and feminine while also being badass at the same time, which is amazing because you don’t usually see those two traits coinciding (usually a badass character isn’t very feminine and a “traditionally feminine” character isn’t a good fighter). As for all of her motives in Season 3, Juliet was trapped on the island for three years. All she wanted to do was leave and go home to her sister. Yes, she manipulated Sun, but right after that, she made things right by helping Jack make a plan to stop the Others. Her death was heroic, and I’m glad she was finally able to be happy in the flash-sideways. (I am declining to mention her whole relationship with Goodwin and all the drama with Ben, although I might dive into that in another post). 

Now, the character Rose Nadler has almost nothing that needs to be defended. She is a constant wise voice of reason who isn’t concerned with the drama of the rest of the survivors. Her relationship with her husband Bernard is very sweet, but she doesn’t let that stop her from doing the smart thing (like stopping his SOS sign idea). Not only that, but Rose has one of the best (and most meta) lines on the show: “If you say live together, die alone to me, Jack, I’m going to punch you in the face.”

Another character who doesn't need much defending is Charlotte Lewis, but not for the same reason as Rose. Charlotte was done dirty by the writers. Of the science team, she is the least fleshed out and explored. She had a single flashback and a little bit of exposition information from Ben, but that’s pretty much it. Every significant thing she did was for the sake of other characters. She had a fake-out death so Ben would reveal that he had a spy on the boat. She was taken to the Barracks so that members of Jack’s group would have a reason to go there. Her going to the Barracks was also an excuse to get Miles and Kate there. And she only died/was dying for shock value, to up the stakes of the time flashes, to provide more questions to the characters and the audience, and to further Daniel’s character development. In the flash-sideways, all she did was go on a date with Sawyer and further his character development. She didn't get to go to the church and move on. Daniel and Miles, the other members of her team, on the other hands were given compelling backstories and centric episodes.

Penelope Widmore is similar to Charlotte in that there isn’t much to defend because she doesn’t do much that affects the plot. Nearly everything she does is about Desmond, and the writers barely even gave her a personality. I’m sure Penny was an actually interesting person, if they had bothered her to give her any storyline that didn't involve her love interest.

Danielle Rousseau is a character that kind of slides in and out of the story as needed. Now, Danielle isn’t the subject of a lot of criticism just because she isn’t very focused on, but from what I have seen, here’s what I have to say: Danielle was alone on the island for sixteen years. And for sixteen years, she had to live with the knowledge that she was forced to kill the man she loved and her team. Not to mention the fact that her daughter, Alex, was taken away from her when she was just a week old. Can you blame Danielle for being paranoid? Her death was not a fair end to the character, and it was only used to kill off Danielle quickly and provide shock value.

Her daughter, Alex Rousseau, is similar to Charlotte and Penny in that she doesn’t need to be defended because everything she does is to affect other characters. In this case, those characters are Ben and Danielle (especially Ben in the later seasons). Danielle’s entire character is centered around the fact that she lost Alex and has been searching for her, and Ben’s motivations after Season 4 are largely motivated by Alex’s death. She herself doesn’t have much of a character arc, and her death was only to provide shock value and further Ben’s character development.

Another character that falls into the category of not having much to defend because every action is for someone else is Libby Smith. Once the tailies and the main survivors joined together, she was almost immediately shoved in a relationship with Hurley. The only things we knew about her backstory were that her husband died, she was a clinical psychologist, she was in the same mental hospital as Hurley, and she gave Desmond a boat. That’s it. She didn’t have a centric episode, and she only appeared in other people’s flashbacks. Her death was only to provide shock value and further Hurley’s character development, as well to show that Michael betrayed the survivors. 

Notice how many of these women died for shock value and/or to further a man’s character development? Notice how many of these women are disliked for traits that other characters are loved for? Notice how many of them barely exist as their own character without a man? I love LOST, I really do, but their treatment of female characters needed a lot of improvement.
