me yapping abt my procreate experience below
SOOOO, i wanted to max out my ipad's and procreate's abilities with this "fully" rendered comic annnnd: it's okay ! procreate is not my favorite, i think i prefer CSP a lot more.. prob bc im more adjusted to CSP while still being a total noob at procreate, once i started coloring the comic, it started to get kinda laggy which sucked, i didnt know procreate had max layers, so realizing the max is 49 layers (for my ipad) was sad but wasnt a huge deal since i just had to merge everything onto one layer. For future heavy art pieces, ill most likely keep those for CSP. i like having a million separate layers for every single little thing
the fact procreate doesnt have any shape tools does suck, moving layers around isnt the smoothest, having no gradient tools suck too (which i was able to just manually make a gradient by using the blur tool, ive been spoiled with CSP's gradient/and shape tool options)
I need to find a diff way of rendering on procreate (or maybe find alternate brushes for rendering certain things) bc i did kinda rush the backgrounds so im not rly THAT happy with it, the colors and environment sorta feel too bright but whatever, this comic was mainly just to test out everything !

So close to being done with this one. Just wanted to do my adjustment layers first before i actually tidied it up in the corners :) this is the first time i ever painted like this and tried to challenge myself to use diff texture brushes and packs I had. Lots of things I'd fix or abandon, but not so terrible for an experimenting/practice piece

helllo one letter type diff friend. this one is a little all over the place but being so sincere intps are tough for me to describe as their own internal process is v complex
intps are most known for being logical, original and frank. they most typically fit the natural born genius archetype and are known for holding both a high level of intelligence and ingenuity. this isn't inaccurate, but it's more accurate to say that intps parallel their infp counterpart. where infps have a rich inner world that follows a weblike structure defined by emotion, intps harbor the same structure for logic. intps are naturally inclined to follow these whims and look into them no matter what which can make them hard to predict.
in childhood this manifests as intp children taking a disinterest in things common for their peers and seeming spacey. they spend a lot of time by themselves in order in indulge their whims. they also don't often take leadership roles for any reason other than obligation when assessing the outcome of their team mates abilities to do the same.
intps are prone to overthinking and this behavior in my experience manifests most often in two aspects. the first is what is perceived by most as laziness but is more accurately paralysis trying to navigate their way through making choices and decisions. intps struggle with an internal sense of control and are frustrated easily by their own fallacies which forces them away from something entirely when they exhaust themselves. the second aspect of this overthinking happens when examining their emotional sate.
intps feeling function is the absolute last of their first function stack and their introverted feeling is their absolute last stack. it leads to an inability to reach simple emotional conclusions and navigate conflict in interpersonal relationships. you are likely to obscure your basic emotional cognition through fifty layers of other, irrelevant conclusions. you don't need to travel to another country to figure yourself out i promise.
intps also somewhat falsely see themselves as in some aspect in charge in their relationships always. this is not mal intended, but because they perceive their own emotional capacity to be above whims of romance and longing they are often forcefully proven wrong and shaken to their core by the thought. in friendships, intps always offer perspective and they monopolize their loved ones to some extent as a result of their longing for companionship despite their inability to see it. they have a difficulty full grasping that desire as a form of affection which is hilarious and endearing.
intps often go around in circles about romantic relationships as a result and it can get complicated fast. worse, it takes intps longer than any other type to figure out their crush at all if they are to ever have one seriously.
i think intps generally struggle most with being misunderstood and paranoid about their own communication ability which furthers both their superiority complex and sense of isolation. they share a similar complex that entjs have. but you're not an impossible person for people to understand no matter how you convince that of yourself and that fact should both humble you and give you some freedom to make error.
there are many things in the world that exist outside of you and it's fine to let others navigate for you. with full sincerity, the one thing people in your life know better than you is you.

have 2 ask… what’s ur rendering process??? because like idk if this makes sense but your work always looks like if someone drew with oil pastel colored pencils and i have NO IDEA how u do that shit 😭😭 sorry if this is like. a lot to ask i’ve always been so curious
i usually start out w a rough sketch and lay down base colors under it and when i’m ready merge the layers and start painting it and adding detail ! sometimes i even just paint over the sketch on one layer

i do this with most of my stuff becasue it makes it easier to bring together the lines and color in an interesting way and also easier to like. redo a face or something without having to go back and forth on each layer.



and for colors and shading i just experiment with colors and diff hues. go crazy use a bunch of varying hues and shades for shading and lighting instead of one chosen color. putting a slight hue change/jitter on ur brush also adds a lot to the piece. and when i render if it’s more stylized i just go in with fun shapes and scribbles and lines!!! sometimes a color choice looks really weird up close but really good once ur finished. just go crazy and experiment is my advice.
#layers are a lifesaver at times and i definitely use them like crazy but also making urself use no layers is a very good exercise#it’s why i like ms paint so much lol#i don’t have the brushes k use rn sorry…. maybe i’ll share later if i remember#also i don’t remember where i get most brushes i download them then find them one day years later#but the reg airbrush with pen pressure is VERY GOOD!!! use airbrush#and i use clip studio paint#☀️🌈🔥#asks#maybe i’ll go more in depth about how i pick colors someday …..

RAAAAAAAH sitting down to write out how diff energy tastes to me bc im being harassed into doing so
so. as a vamp ive chomped on a variety of diff energies in a variety of ways

my methods are, fr the most part filter feeding on ambient energy around me - not necessarily from humans bc i only interact w my mom really and i dont ever feed on my pets. ig it tends to be like. moreso ethereal energies. which i will get into in a minute. i do also directly feed frm ppl who consent to it, but seeing as i dont talk to ppl that often i dont tend to go that route as of recently. i also source from specific types of energy via like. astral plane. usually wells of energy spawned naturally, and ive also on occasion picked thru n cleaned some folks energetic bodies on the astral
theres also a few like. subconscious rules i go for regarding feeding? for one, they have to be energetically compatible w me im not gonna eat some random persons energy if i feel like it would throw my own energetic system off balance. i also am like ... very put off when ppl come to me first to ask to be a donor. if im hungry ill go looking or ill offer a symbiotic thing so we both benefit
on the mechanics of it btw. it very much feels to me like i consume energy, using it to boost my own production and shedding the excess i dont have a use for back into the environment - the excess i shed tends to be a lot more like... purified? distilled?. it takes a while to process it too, just like. yknow. metabolism. like i last had a large-ish feeding session a couple months ago now i think?????? and im still processing it. i also dont tend to overeat bc it just makes me jittery and Too full of energy n i need to burn it off or ground it so i dont metaphorically explode into confetti
im def the type of vampire where its like ... it feels like my energetic system has a leak? so to cover for that i need to draw in more. that also means that divination and spellwork can take a SHIT TON OF ENERGY out of me and take me out for the day if i dont feed before AND after. 0/10 dont recommend the experience, its awful

ANYWAYS. TYPES OF ENERGY IVE EATEN.
for the most part, i prefer life energy if feeding off of another living being. humans and plants fall into that category. i also put physical food in this category bc i do take what little energy it has. i also eat celestial energies - umbra, stellar, and spatial void in particular.
ive also tried emotional and sexual energy, but honestly they dont do anything for me. its like eating air
life energy ... the closest equivalent i can say as to how it tastes is like. whipped cream mixed with cotton candy. the texture is like fluffy air, very incorporeal and like ur eating almost nothing, though it coalesces into a small firmer piece if u press it together close enough. very sweet in a light way - not overwhelming or rich. also kinda similar to very fluffy cake where it feels like ur eating a cloud. more filling than what youd think though! i tend to associate like... whispers of flavor with it.
my main experience eating life energy (not counting filter feeding) is eating souls astrally, in which case thats a bit different. souls are more tangible and in my experience can have a "hardened shell" around them kinda? it doesnt have to be actually hard, it can just be like a thick cloud or gummy or crunchy layer
theres a specific candy in the astral that gives you the experience of like. biting a star that gives a similar mouthfeel, though the star candy is ALWAYS crunchy and also isnt as big of an energy boost than i like so i always end up popping like seven of those bad boys when i wanna get something done magically. it prob would give me more energy if it was an energetic type that was more compatible w me
also! umbra energy! shadow, dark, etc. the texture is a lot more like. comfy cotton quilt. always soft, feels very comforting. like a warm bear hug :) it isnt warm at all though, its like. a chilling type of comfort? hard to describe. sticks around a lot longer than other types of energy for me, and im slower to process it. leaves me topped off longer apparently! if i eat too much, i dont feel "full" but i do need to immediately burn off the excess energy or ground it or else i feel like im vibrating out of my skin
interesting fact here! life energy tends to get processed via settling near my own soul - not in the direct vicinity, but near enough that it isnt a pain to leech energy into my soul. umbra energy tends to get processed with more distance - i notice it curling outside my body pressing against the outside of my energetic body, with my body only slowly leeching it in when its done processing the little bit i was actively working on. its a much slower process! its also a lot more sticky to me ?????????????? well. not STICKY. but like. once ive begun processing it i cant rid myself of it, its just There forever now until i finish processing it askdjfhskfu which isnt bad for me personally!! ive always been a lot more at home and comfortable with umbra energy. it sticking to the outside of my energetic body is actually really useful magically and also for comfort. it rlly Does feel like a comforting hug, plus umbra energy is very good for masking my presence bc i blend into the shadows more. easier to gloss over me.
#tbf . there might be a tinge of void energy in the umbra ive been eating#i feel like nudibranchs who like. eat poison and then use it to poison other animals who scare them#me looking at my energetic body just like ''where did you come from???'' in regards to the void energy i Just noticed#i dont have a LOT of it tbf#just like. if i wanted to stab someone w it i could shoot exactly one projectile at someone#and it def isnt umbra#feels more intense and sharper kinda?#huh. wild.#proceeds to file that knowledge away and ignore it for now bc its not directly affecitng me

hey kels i was scrolling through my dash and then i caught a glimpse of your new fallon drawing and i want you to know that i went absolutely buckwild and then i scrolled further to see the whole drawing and i'm pretty sure i squealed. kels ever since ive started following you and your art and fallon have slowly nestled yourself inside my brain its amazing how excited i get whenever u upload a new drawing. also ive noticed that i'm slowly but surely starting to sound more and more unhinged and wild like you. how the fuck do you have so much influence on me.

AND TY TY!! my girl has a strong aesthetic and this piece kind of went a liiiiittle against some of that (its a lot of hard angles vs i normally give her a lot of ovals and rounded edges) but for the setting its appropriate bc im trying to give her a bit more of a """"harsh"""" or """"severe"""" vibe (like as harsh and severe as she can possibly look which isnt very). i LOVE to use texture brushes they are such an easy way to get out of drawing details myself because i am SO lazy!!

OKAY THE DRAW IN QUESTION i kind of cheated on bc i literally just traced over one of my older draws i did for a very obscure au i made of who made me a princess (i am always doing such ridiculously niche shit i love to sit in my little sandbox and have no one else understand my barbie rps) BUT the process is the same as basically every draw i do like this. it is very simple so dont worry (or do, maybe)
i use 1-3 layers at a time and then immediately merge when i feel like im done and LIVE W MY MISTAKES if not!! anyway prepare to be massively underwhelmed heh

this is so funny i cant believe i literally traced my own drawing im a fuckin FRAUD im the laziest bitch i know. anyway. my sketches are way messier than this but it always starts out either scratch ass lines or color blocking w this bright ass magenta bc thats what feels right!!!!!!

HERES THE LAYERS I USED LOL i do all textures n shit as a clipping mask so actually i used 4 layers for this bc id set down one texture or pattern that was gonna overlap on a diff layer so i wouldnt have to work harder to erase and then BLINDLY MERGED to make things more difficult if actually i fucked up before that!!! work smarter not harder except when it is absolutely braindead to do otherwise is my motto

IF IM DOIN SMTH NICER like this then i usually make sure all my lines connect (this is also why i do a lot of angles and simple clear shapes when i draw) so i can set that layer as reference and USE THE FUCKING FILL TOOL BAYBEEEEE!!!!! this also makes it easier to fuck around with COLOR imho bc you can just rapidly swatch with zero efforts. i Love to take shortcuts. i Love to be lazy. i HIGHLY rec this, if i have colored smth that stays in the lines then its bc i connected the lineart and used the bucket fill underneath. if my lines dont connect sometimes ill make a temp line and erase after i filled. im dedicated. ALSO u can see here that my patterns layer is all overlapping and fucked up bc i didnt check and erase fully but i use p limited palettes in general so... IT DIDNT MATTER THIS TIME!!!!!!!!.
anyway after all that i lock the lineart layer if i havent already and color some of the lines for some PIZAZZ. easy way to immediately fake effort i do love to do that

i do all of my fucking draws on the same canvas bc im a horrible little beast, so the only reason i didnt erase the sketch and use it for the colors layer was bc there were others on that layer already and i didnt wanna scoot them so i could cap the finished draw. i did NOT connect my lines for this one i colored like a toddler. who gives a shit we all die in the end anyway!!!

YOU DIDNT ASK FOR THIS BUT LINELESS MY LOVE... i just color blocked for this one alas i do not have process caps, i will do that next time i draw i guess if anyone wants that!!? i typically only use a single layer for lineless- block out the shape, alpha lock, then color and carve from there. EASY PEASY!! ive shown it before but i spent all my formative draw years on v limited feature programs (mspaint, oekaki, TEGAKI MOST OF ALL) so i dont explore tools much and do what seems easiest and most intuitive to me... im sorry i dont have any sick tricks or real process i am but a feral little clown drawing in the DIRT. also here is the tegaki overlay i use whenever i am Blocked or fatigued w procreate layout. it makes me feel NOSTALGIC and INSPIRED so i do this instead of like, actually getting on tegs2

Hi sovo!! I'm so sorry to bother you but I have a question regarding charms that I'm super confused about, and I thought I read awhile back that you used vograce! but if you don't want to answer this, you don't have to ;w;
I'm trying to order double sided charms w/ diff designs on each side, not a whole lot tho, there's only a few of them as a gift for a friend who I'm visiting in a couple weeks. so I am trying to figure out... how the layout is supposed to be... do you put the front and back designs on the same layer? I thought I saw on the site that you have to separate the layers, but it doesn't allow me to save png files like that, it always automatically saves as just one single layer ;o; if possible, could you show me a visual of what it should look like?
I tried emailing the site but I haven't heard back in a few days, and if I want these charms within the next 2 weeks I have to order them at least by tomorrow and I've never done this before :') ahhh I'm sorry for taking up your time, thank you for reading!!
i work with psd’s instead of png’s, so i don’t have personal experience submitting png’s, but i’ve seen that when other people submit png’s they submit a separate png for the front art, and a separate png for the back art. that should be all you need!
i’m pretty sure the layer requirement only comes in when you’re submitting a psd file--like when i submit psd's my layers look like this:
there’s a layer for the front, a layer for the back, and i also submit a “cut hole” layer (which is optional) that just contains a circle/x that marks where i want the hole to be on the charm

#i miss the days of wild and wacky theories : (#i mean yeah we were often Disappointed™ (derogatory)#but the headcanons and AUs we came up with were fun !!!#remember Season Gr8 bc we were ready for a full season of Destiel In Purgatory? :')#but yeah like i said in the replies#modern fandom has been FUCKED by the binge-watching model created by streaming and i fucking HATE THIS#and it is SUPER APPARENT with SPN bc of how long this show ran and how many fans it had and how many fans it still has#and the In The Trenches Fandom™ is very much contrasted with the large amt of ppl that got into it after November 5th™#heck like i came back after a 5yr hiatus and my gf got Actually Into It for the first time#but I Was There When It Was Written™ and my gf may not have been into SPN but was still on tumblr and into at least the Who and the Lock#a lot of ppl just don't know how long-running shows work and how SPN is such a fucking. case study. of a long-runner#it makes BtVS/AtS and SG1 look short#SUPERNATURAL RAN LONGER THAN BUFFY AND ANGEL COMBINED AND AS LONG AS STARGATE AND ATLANTIS COMBINED#(not counting Universe bc that one was v diff and nowhere near as popular as The OG™ and The One People Were Obsessed With The Shipping™)
yeah and even the people who had been gone for years but came back for or just after 1518 they still had that in the trenches experience and i wasn't here when season 8 was live but i was here the summer between it and season 9 and honestly the fandom was so large back then as well on here that even me, in my little Glee corner, would constantly see SPN posts [one of the reasons why i started watching was because of gifs i saw of the angels falling]
but yeah like even coming in after season 8 i would still see those destiel in purgatory AUs and i STILL read them. purgatory became one of my favorite places for them and i was SOOO HAPPY when they fell back into it for 15x09.
and yeah, I hate streaming culture because of this because I also feel like, given how short seasons are with streaming, there seems to be this gradual decline in nuance and coding and layering in TV shows, and it's just bam bam bam bam without much thinking needing to be done [this is actually why i don't like The Boys all that much bc there's so many deep characters to explore but there are so many and only 8 episodes]
SPN really was an anomaly because a very genre show like that on a network like that without a young cast like the rest of the shows around it -- i know it had almost been canceled a few times but it really stood the test of time for a reason!
imagine tho if the world of SPN kept having spin offs and spin offs so it lasts as long as all the star trek and stargate stuff lmao
there's a thing i wish newer fans of spn could have experienced and that is when the show was airing, week to week, and for years and years on this website or on LJ or on twitter or wherever, coming up with speculation and meta posts and trying to follow the clues as to what this show was giving us in terms of material.
i'll admit some folks probably took it too far and didn't understand that just because the show didn't do 100% what they thought it was going to do, that it wasn't baiting or that they didn't know what they were doing — however for the most part, for a lot of us, it was just fun.
and i say this because fans that were brand new fresh once the show ended didn't get to experience that, it was all catch up and a post-show fandom environment for the last 4 years. the winchesters provided a bit of that rush again but it was so short lived that it was hard to get it going.
and why i think that experience is something good to have or at least understand that it's an experience that some people in this fandom have, is because it's gotten a lot of us used to not taking it all 1:1 face value. that is: we're used to things we think are going to happen not happening, we're used to the fact that our speculation and interpretations can be wrong, we're used to the fact that the people creating the stories have their own way of doing things, and while we think we know best, at the end of the day we're playing with the toys they left for us in the sandbox.
i don't think older fans are anything to sneer at or write off because even the ones who may have been the most jumpy during the show's airing have since grounded themselves and will essentially 'wait and see' how any continuation pans out, and also had that same approach with the winchesters and many folks i knew who took that approach were pleasantly surprised with that prequel.
not that we're The Wise Ones TM but that all that time in this fandom and interacting with the show did build this certain skillset for many and it's not that we're dumb, it's not that we're delusional or that we're always wrong about stuff, but that we learned how to have fun with it.
#just finish up this storyline first fam and you can have all the spinoffs you want#and my kingdom for more of the winchesters honestly

mucking around with the markings base some more, this time with a couple new characters! or, uh, one new character (based off an adopt that didnt sell years ago) and one old character (from 2011) that got renamed and updated
these two are an experiment in layering markings, which is something i p much never do with limoli despite it Being A Possibility for ages now. i used to have a ref of the diff pattern mutations and everything.
emre (he/him, she/her) is still very much a wip but i like this design so far. the original adopt was kinda bare and this is definitely an improvement i think! he's an engineer and butts heads with irakus a lot on account of ier being a techbane and having a bit of a grudge against him for showing ier up whenever ie tries to be cool. he's not aware of this.
leiyd (he/him) is a calico like charles! although he's more splotchy while charles is more spotty. he's the most levelheaded in the squad so he's usually having to mediate between irakus, emre, and rucenn (not pictured). and also zeill (not pictured). zeill is not immune to rucenn. also leiyd is like the only limolus oc so far that like.. has an actual family??? he has a younger sister, teik! also i'm still messing around with how i spell his new name. how many vowels can i fit in this bad boy
edit: made the rest of the squad!
rucenn (they/them) is another unsold adopt like emre, and i.. really didn't change them much? just added some more leg markings (which i might remove lmao) and added a colour fade, which im.. also figuring out how i feel about.
irakus (ie/ier) is like. ier old art has ier main fur colour tinted??? which is something i dropped later but i'm bringing it back bc it's neat. also it's weird seeing ier with a long tail bc the base has one but ira ierself definitely doesn't FLHCFGCX also i keep futzing with them even while making this post. ira please
zeill (ey/eir) is the third "i made an adoptable years ago and finally repurposed eir into a full character" and i am Not sure how i feel about these markings. zeill is gonna get workshopped a lot i think. lotta messing with asymmetry this set huh. the shoulder marking isn't gonna be visible because ey's always in uniform :/ also trying to go for more organic shapes to contrast emre and irakus's sharp geometry, which is probably gonna take some getting used to

hey, I saw your post earlier about giffing and wondered if you had any tips for beginners? I’d love to try and make gifs myself but I have literally no idea where to start with it 🙃
when I first started making gifs I used to make them on my phone using this website, it’s super quick and easy, I just recorded me making one now :)
this is what the gif looks like:
i did this for around a year and i think it looks alright however I did switch to using photoshop because there’s more tools to play around with and I think the quality is better.
this was the tutorial where I learnt all the basics and still more or less what I do now. only major difference is they open the video directly in photoshop but i use file > import > video frames to layers. select all frames > convert to frame animation (the 3 rectangles at the bottom) and layers > filter > convert to smart filters.
tips:
try to avoid duplicate frames. if your getting duplicates then select limit to every 2 frames. it will give you a smoother gif.
crop/resize tool you can do both at once! resize the gif BEFORE turning it into a smart object, it will be a lot quicker and won’t crash.
if you want to gifs diff parts of an interview where it pans away from the person speaking in the middle, in order for all the gifs to look the same make an action it will save you so much time!
colouring: don’t go too crazy or it will become pixelated but do experiment with the layers. I use curves/levels/brightness to add brightness and then vibrance/selective colour/ hue saturation to add colour. use layer masks to not affect the colours of the person’s face.
play around with the opacity/blending modes.
text effects: I use stroke, gradient overlay, shadows.
always change the speed to 0.05 for 25fps footage (F1TV and most yt vids), it looks slow otherwise. But if you only have <30 frames than 0.06/7 is fine. If you have 50/60fps footage (this rookies vid the quality is 1080p50 which means 50fps) then go for 0.03.
saving settings: I use adaptive/selective and pattern/diffusion depends on the gif.
try to keep gifs less than 9mb, 10mb is the limit but 9+ is a bit of a hit or miss.
If it’s over the limit, try changing saving settings/image size/delete frames. If that doesn’t work or you cant do those things use this website to optimize your gifs.

HI! This is from a pretty old post but I was wondering, what did you mean when you said you used to "enter a trance state in three or four different sets"? Did you just repeat a certain technique over and over until you went under or did you mean something else?
A: Yeah, pretty much. It's sort of like dropping deeper and deeper into your unconscious mind layer by layer, similar to what they do in Inception, I think. Similar concept. Every layer would be something different like I would do something different in order to go down further as I was in a different state of mind or holding a different level of consciousness.

A: Thanks for letting me know. There's definitely some aspects in her chart that line up with her EA reading, a lot of interesting tension between planets that seems to be set up for public progression, kind of leading people through certain phases of life by publically displaying her own progression. It's very interesting for sure.

Q: what happens when two souls merge?
A: If souls merge while still occupying physical forms, as in they are still existing physically as two separate humans, there can be a lot of psychological issues between the two or a severe imbalance where one has more trouble than the other, which can lead to a very noticeable power imbalance, especially in romantic partnerships. This is also something that can happen with twins who either share a split soul or just have a close enough connection or are dependent enough on each other that their souls merge.
I have seen before in some of my personal work and exploration that in some pretty severe cases one person will "vibrate out of the body" in order to merge with the other. In other words, the one who is "weaker" mentally or physically will die in order to merge with the other. On a higher level, the souls or the consciousnesses may remain separate, but they'll merge on lower levels. Such as merging on a 5D plane but remaining separate on 9D plane.

A: Yes, all of the mini-readings on the BMP website should now show the dates they were posted on the top center, just below the main title of the post. Just be aware that some of the posts put up in late 2018 were carried over from Tumblr, so there will be two dates, one under the title for when it was posted onto the website, and another date at the top of the entry marking when it was originally posted on Tumblr.

Q: Hey! Hope you are well. I have a general question about shifting timelines: How do we identify if we've shifted to a different timeline in a tangible sense? Is it based on how our interests change, how clear/hazy our memories become of fairly recent years, etc? I've been getting back to regular meditation again and I'm trying to figure out if what I'm going through is because of work+isolation+lockdowns messing up my perception or if it is something else.
A: Well, I assume it can be different for everyone, but for me, it's definitely a matter of memory and energetic ties to those memories that state out the most. Specifically around trauma and very heavy memories that used to really deeply trigger me even with the slightest mention of it now feel almost like something that I've only just heard about rather than experienced. Like, I still remember things very clearly, but they just don't feel heavy anymore, they don't come with negative feelings the way they used to, it's just kind of... there. Almost like a dream.
I've definitely experienced certain shifts before where, deadass, one day I was absolutely terrified of a specific concept, specifically involving aspects of communication with higher consciousness or beings of other dimensions and whatnot, and then suddenly the next day it was absolutely not a problem at all. It was really strange, but it was literally like flipping a switch. I've had a few moments like that in the past 4 years or so where "flipping a switch" could most accurately describe certain points of shifting timelines or shifting in levels of conscious awareness simply because of how fast it happened.
Shifting timelines can also come with remembering past lives, or being able to recall experiences you yourself didn't have, which can be really confusing and anxiety-inducing at times, but as long as you are conscious of it and you know what's going on, it's easy to ground yourself and settle into the present moment and just focus on the here and now.
Sudden inspiration or interests popping up out of nowhere along with very strong intuitive pulls toward new things can be a sign of shifting timelines but also signs of spiritual or conscious expansion and development within a singular timeline as well.

psst share your outer banks coloring secrets
ah, yes, one of the worst shows to color lmaoooo. i'll try to give some tips but im sure as anyone who has tried to color this show knows each scene is diff and has it's own flavor of awful yellow/green/red shading.
some tips on how to go from this to this......
............under the cut! (warning v long and idk if i'm the best at explaining things lmao)
so firstly, i use this psd i made ages ago for everything (alecbaenes was my url many moons ago i just am too lazy to change and reupload). usually i will go into each individual layer of that psd and see how they work with the scene, and will change the opacity or turn off the layer depending on what looks best. generally for obx, i will lower the opacity on the gradient map layer, as well as certain vibrancy/curves/levels layers, ones that make the gif brighter and more vibrant. i will usually bring back some vibrancy and brightness later but when im first getting the base coloring, some layers just heighten the yellow/red and we need to kinda bring that down before we make adjustments to get aspects like skin color more accurate.
so, just with my psd/adjustments made to the psd layers, the gif may looks something like this: (going to use this gif bc i made it more recently so i remember some of the stuff i did better, and is the most accurate to my current process--plus it sucks to color lmao)
ususally still way to red/yellow for my liking, both for the skin tones and to be able to manipulate the colors for a vibrant coloring! so the next step is to get colors as close to how they are normally. warning, you will have to make 345435354 adjustment layers and just keep tweaking and tweaking... and tweaking. sometimes i will have like 20+ adjustment layers at the end of the process. i usually put all my adjustments under my psd--i also always add a vibrance and brightness layer above. sometimes it helps to do final tweaks above the psd if you just cant get anything right bc of course the psd will change how colors normally look.
anyways, usually my base fixes will be some sort of combination of curves, levels, color balance, and selective color. so like, if the gif needs more depth/darkness, or is way too bright, i will bring the curve down or up respectively. levels, and also increasing the black selective color layer will also add depth. i will also use auto curve sometimes! the first image i have below i circled some of the extra tools i may use--auto for auto curves, the top black eyedropper you select the darker points in your gif and it will adjust based on that, the bottom one for the lightest--if i use those i will either use the black one only, or the black and then the white. the other three are examples of how my curve layers may look--i already have S curves in my psd, so when i do extra curve adjustments, it's just one single point, and i don't move it that much. same with levels, i dont make a super dramatic change, when it's under the psd it's enough to just move a bit to make a big difference. sometimes i'll also bring these layers to a lower opacity.

generally my first step is color balance though, especially if the gif seems mostly fine lighting wise. for obx, i usually shift it towards cyan and blue to cancel out the red tones. magenta and green depends, if its more green i may move towards magenta and vice versa, but usually i dont shift it that dramatically and often leave it alone. i will usually move the bottom bar towards blue, to soften the yellow tones. color balance helps shift the overall colors of the gif. notice that it's on mid tones in these pictures:

as you can see, i shift the cyan/red one more dramatically than the yellow/blue, and with magenta and green i usually just move it 1-3 points over. in the last one, i actually shifted towards red above my psd layer, because after all my adjustments i lost some of the red/warmth, so i brought back in red.
with color balance/curves, the gif may looks something like this
less of a completely red/yellow filter over everything! but still not great, their skin is too red, and overall still not the best base to try colorings. so next up is selective color, which can really help you fine tune things, but because of that.... SUUUUPER tedious. i will have 3495874 selective color layers and sometimes like 5 of them will be half canceling each other out just to get something okay. but this is a hobby i've chosen so we must suffer LKRGJRG. generally, my realm revolves around red, yellow, and at times magenta or neutral. if you think back to how we fixed some of the colors with color balance, kind of a similar principle, just with the individual colors. and lots of experimenting. so with color balance i would cancel out reds by making them more cyan--on the red selective color, im also gonna turn up the cyan. for yellow, i'm gonna make it more magenta, to make the yellow tones warmer. i will tweak the other tones too, just kinda experiment to see how changing it affects the gif, and then soon you will kind of intuitively know how to change the values based on whats going on in the gif lighting. magenta selective color helps for red values that are more pink, so make them more red or yellow based on what you need--i don't use this as much, hence i didnt have an example in the crop of psds i opened, but it's helpful sometimes. with neutral selective color, it usually affects the whole gif, so again, only minimal changes--usually i will bring the black levels down if it got to bright, or add just a tinge or yellow or cyan or whatever i need. here's some pics to show examples of what mine looked like for this gif:

there were many more, but i just chose a few. the '1' and '2' i wrote to demonstrate that these layers were sequential, how they balance each other, and how selective color can be a tedious balancing act-- the second example it's like basically the opposite but it balances it out. also, if you have two characters with different skin tones, or the lighting is different for them, etc, you can use layer masks to erase certain adjustments so it only affects one of the subjects. some of these tweaks will be inbetween me transforming the gif to be colorful, and noticing how the colors interact, etc. so between this i was also making it colorful and it's not exactly the finished product at this stage: but this is kind of what the gif would look like after all the adjustments just to get it looking... normalish:
not totally perfect but MUCH better, and also will look a little different when surrounded by the colors i want to turn it into. i have some stuff about how i color in this tag, i can do a lil other tutorial or smth if needed but bc i have limited photo space on the ask and already wrote so much i wont get super into it here. but for shows like obx, it helps to work with a group of colors that will work with the show--yellows/oranges are easier bc of all the yellow already found in the show. pinks can be harder because there is so much yellow in the show, but doable. greens are good because of all the green in the show, and thus blues are good because its easy to go from green to blue with selective color and stuff. thus, purples are good too because its easy to go from blue to purple! stuff like that makes it easier. some work with selective color, hue and saturation, gradients, and voila!
you can see how maybe some of the issues like it being still a little too yellow/greeny toned balances out with the surrounding colors.
also, a big part of it is just practice! i've been giffing for yeaaaaaars and with media that has just the most god awful lighting so i've gotten good at understanding what to do and sometimes i'm just on auto pilot.
hopefully that helped, i know it was long winded and it can be hard to explain/understand photoshop. if y'all want some more in depth explanation about a part of the process i can try, or with other examples!

So I had my first bad and overtly sexualized experience when playing D&D last night. And I can't sleep until I write it out.
For context, I had decided to start looking for an other group to meet with (online of course) about a month ago. Within the last week I found a group that was in my time zone, and seemed to be an ok fit. When I added my character to the DNDBeyond campaign page I noticed that my character was the only one listed as female. Now I know that people can play whatever gender of character they want, but just the general vibe I got from my few messages with the DM lead me to believe that the players were all playing characters their same gender. I also learned that I was going in as the least experienced of the group, as well as being the only player who was not able to meet with the DM beforehand to run through character details. I was going in mostly uninformed. I immediately knew that this was going to be a lot more difficult than my previous campaign. I was a woman surrounded by men, playing a game that is gatekept by men, and stereotypically played by only men. My thoughts and mindset to not show weakness or inexperience and to prove that was just as good of a player as any of the rest of them did not however prepare me for the session.
First thing we did was describe our characters after we where given our roles within the group. This immediatly made me have to make some major chapter changes because I had planned for a more light-hearted character this go around, but the position she was given required her to not only be aged up but also her alignment changed. So I was already a little on edge and even more unprepared. I had known before how I wanted my character to act in general situations, but now, my overall plan was thrown out the window. The motivation I had put down for my character no longer applied. If my character had nothing to strive for, did I have anything to play with?
Within the first few minutes of the session, as a new group of people, the DM had our characters go through some "bonding activities". My character and another had an arm restling match, which my character lost in one role (7 to an 11). Two other characters bonded by teasing one of the other members of the group, a high born water genasi. Generally that went well except for the fact that the DM, when describing the towel the two were using to taunt the character with he described it as a rough towel, but not just any type of rough, rough like there was dried cum in it. This comment made me immediatly uncomfortable. We were within five minutes of this session starting (the first of the campaign!) and the DM was already making sexual comments. I think I probably would have still been uncomfortable if my other DM, who I have known for close to 7 years, had made that description. I let the comment slide, hoping that maybe it was a slip up on the DMs part and he would remember he was with strangers.
The next incident that happened was when the party entered the town tavern and there was a fight. Our warlock used thamaturgy to make each punch and slap sound louder than they actually were. The DM initially described this as deafening, what was a perfectly fine description. However, later on in the fight when thamaturgy was used again, our DM described the sounds as lude and as if someone was jacking off. This again made me uncomfortable, but I kept silent.
Another thing the DM made a quick comment about is that the barkeep gave the water genasi a glass of water instead of beer and it was the barkeep being racist. Which was a completely unnecessary thing to say.
A little later while still in the bar, it was discovered that our party's mark was also in the building, and that he was commenting about how he found my character attractive, especially since she was apparently the only women in the bar. (Which not only contradicted the DM's earlier description of "Men, women, and children crowed around watching the bar fight" but also the fact that it was the towns only tavern and we were supposed to believe there were no other women then? Not even barmaids?) It was then implied heavily by not only most of the rest of my party but also the DM that I was supposed to go over and seduce the mark and gain access to his house by doing so. I felt set up and nervous. This was by no means how I had ever intended for this character to be played (she was originally going to literally still be a minor before I had to age her up). To make matters even more uncomfortable the DM insisted on role-playing a good portion of the in bar discussion/seduction between my character and the NPC. I said that I was uncomfortable with the situation, and them tried to use the excuse that I was not good at role-playing and had never done it before, but the DM was insistent. Through out the experience other players kept commenting on different aspects or were just being overtly sexual. I ended the in bar role-play fairly swiftly before my character had to go over and tell the rest of the party where she was going, and for them to follow her and scout the house. One the the other players had his character turn invisible and come also in the house as a scout while the other party members where outside.
When my character got back to the house with the mark, his younger sister was apparently awake and waiting. She was decribed as an young girl looking around the age of 13. This immedatly set off some warning bells, because the oarty was meant to capture her and transport her somewhere, which made me worried about what the DM had in mind. In the moment nothing else came of the little girl except that she tried to shame my character for coming back with her brother.
Next, my character and the mark went to his bedroom, and the DM described the multiple tools and weapons hanging on the NPCs wall, I could have been reading into it at this point but it felt like he was describing them in hopes I would have my character use them in the coming moments. The DM again then had my try to role-play the instruction between my character and the NPC, to which I was fairly bland with my words and sped through the process again. My DM then made my character take a point of exhaustion, which gives you disadvantage on checks. I then had my character leave after the NPC had fallen asleep, to which she was met with the younger sister again, who once again tried to shame her for a sexual experience.
When the DM switched to the POV of the other party members two of the players made the comments that they were pretty sure that the invisible party member who was in the house was probably sticking around and getting a show from my character and the mark.
When our whole party met up later to compare intel from the evening my character was the only one that had nothing to add to the scout mission. She had been purely used as a distraction. She was utterly unimportant to the plot of the mission and the campaign. The only "good" that came out of it was when one of the party members asked if my character could show them what she had done to the mark I replied so quickly with an adamant NO (of frustration and annoyance) that the DM told the other player his character suffered 4 points of psychic damage. At this point I was thoroughly upset, annoyed, and bored with the session and DM. This was when one of the other party members (the one who had played the invisible scout) private messaged me and asked if I was uncomfortable. It felt like I was able to take a breath that I didn't even know I could.
The other player explained to me that he was also uncomfortable with the situation and that he was here to support me. We continued to message back and forth for the rest of the session. I honestly don't think I would have made it to the end without him.
In the middle of the night a man broke into the room my character was sharing with the party's orc fighter. But my character slept through the whole interaction between the two characters, which just made me more uncomfortable, but I at this point I was so uncomfortable with this whole campaign that it was just another layer.
When our party awoke the next morning there were comments from the party about how my character had slept so deeply because of being worn out from the night before. This just caused more annoyance from me. When out party stepped out of the tavern there was a man selling potions on a cart pulled my two humans and two drow elves. The DM stated, after the invisible scout's insight check, that the people pulling the cart were slaves and that the whole region we were in had slavery. The owner of said slaves (played by the DM) stated that they were better than horses because they fought back. This statement made me extremely uncomfortable, even more so than the sexual encounters.
At this point the invisible scout spoke up and said that our characters should free the slaves, in response my chracter was the only one that agreed so we set about to release them. This involved me casting blindness on the owner and then getting shot by his goblin lacky and taking over half of my HP in damage. Then the genasi cast sleep on the goblin (not to help us free the slaves, but to steal something off the cart), which allowed the scout and I to cut the chains and try to let the slaves free. By that point the owner had regained his sight and the slaves had not run away. One of the slaves then glared at my character and said "should I dispose of them master" and honestly I wish he had, because then I would have gotten to leave. Instead, I had to stick around because the owner insisted that I was merely misunderstanding the situation and that no further punishment should come to my character if she worked off the payment of the chains she had cut. There was no mention of the scout being punished. I wanted to cry at this point, out of frustration and annoyance.
The last few minutes of the session involved the party then splitting up to look at different locations around town that we also needed to scout, but at this point I was not paying attention to anything the DM or anybody else said.
Throughout the course of the session the DM and other players also made other unnecessarily sexual and racist comments, but there were so many that I only explained the major ones. By the end, when the DM asked how the session was, I couldn't respond. I felt assaulted. Yes, I had put myself in this situation, but there had been no prior indication before starting the evening that I would be subjected to a multitude of sexual and racist comments throughout the session.
The whole experience was horrible, except for the fact that the invisible scout player and I have continued to talk and have both decided to leave the campaign and look for a friendlier one together. I am just glad that I had him to talk to during the experience because otherwise I probably would have thought I was exaggerating things in my head. I have loved D&D for a long time and this experience has tarnished my love for the game. I just hope I can recover from it and learn to again love the game and the people who play that are truly loving, accepting, and kind.

no particular order lol. wait also i didn’t quite follow “favorite” i suppose, i like, judged by Significance. but in a way that was still plenty subjective, so
tayston kiss on the Mouth - self-explanatory like of course it was crucial to draw a Tayston Kiss and i finally got around to it. also when i opened it now it was like “oh nice that’s cuter than i was remembering it even” lol. rly enjoy taylor here too like them in a tee and i like that they’re leaning back a bit but w/drawing their forearms/hands where i did it feels like they’re pulling winston in and i’m just overall like “nice that turned out well” @ drawing them here. i also personally enjoy the Blush Patch drawn in one linear stroke between them. it’s fun to try to have that essential detail be both Soft enough but also have some geometry to it b/c i’m always On That
riawin kiss on the Mouth - same thing all over again lol of course i had to draw it. and it started with several different failed attempts which was annoying but then i got this one in one night and it works well enough. also has a fun clothing detail in rian w/a hoodie (of winston’s) and once again i draw the hand-on-jaw l’intimacy and i think it Works Well again b/c why wouldn’t it, classic. also i’d been intending to draw the Lines detailing rian’s hair curls rather than silhouette and that was pretty fun to just jump into. oh i did the same thing with the Blush also, s/o to that. and the fact that there Is that height diff as depicted here....hopefully artistically successful in having you Think About It
tayston embrayston Cuddling - i think the first proper Fanart Of Fic? so that’s crucial. helping put the essential tayston ideas into the world and hopefully helping put People into Reading Said Fic, i’m glad this turned out to have enough of a relaxed vibe to do the concept’s written execution some justice....this was also just a success of “the colors i put down originally managed to be really Incongruous palette-wise” and i had to wrangle that situation with some added Layers lol but now they’re soft and nice i think, a much more Congruous pink-purple and i’m now remembering i struggled a lot picking a Solid Bg Color even though now a pale yellow seems like an obvious choice, s/o to the little border highlight around them i like that too....things turned out solidly here....enjoying the Geometry going on re: winston’s sleeve lol
agtikbi reprise - again i think it was Important to have done something for this absolutely iconic bit of media, thank you so much obcr for including this track. did a bunch of coloring for it (ft. many purple overlays as usual lol but that was always the plan) and the lineart i knocked out pretty fast w/o worrying about editing it super hard but it turned out solidly which is always a gift. really this was one of those “yeah it takes a while but i make pretty consistent progress and just knock it out in a couple of days” works ft. a decent amount of detail and that’s always an Epic Win and again i love agtikbi reprise so much so it was Very Good to have officially done something for it. also i’d been meaning to draw jeremy again for eons so that accomplished that goal too
monthlong riawinning - the opposite experience but also I Guess its own kind of win, where drawing is not quite as cooperative and one thing takes me A Month where it’s v much not consistent progress and i Do edit a lot which has pros (looks kinda fancy i guess) and cons (sweating details unnecessarily / overthinking or second guessing stuff / forest for trees or whatever / it takes ages and was it worth it....) like when i started with the Lineart Layer i was like “uh oh i’ve Cleaned This Up a lot but there’s already stuff i like too much to Restart this even though i’m not even close to halfway done yet” and yeah it took me ages to finish with lineart that’s been entirely Cleaned Up but then hey, you get this one thing with Completely Exhaustively Edited Lineart....i’m very Particular about like these self-imposed geometry rules re: lineart / shapes according to my own ~aesthetic sensibilities~ and stuff so like, it’s not even just a matter of Are The Lines Fairly Uniform Width / erasing stray marks / making sure the lines are all Closed and stuff, and even w/ the finished product it’s like “oh i could’ve connected some lines in rian’s hair for more Flow or moved this thing over by a few pixels or w/e,” isn’t that always the way though....it’s fun to have 1 Thing from this year v polished though. and i like the riawin contribution of “what if winston went down on rian and then there was this Snapshot Of Affection afterwards ft. an embrace and a kiss and the love language of tenderly feeling him up in the process” i was like “is this all Obvious or am i being too coy” and i was being too coy but here come opportunities like this one right here to make the meaning clearer i hope. that’s part of this pic’s Importance as well lmfao. the content of it and all
