[ door creaks ]
Kai: Taryn? You’re home early- Oh god, what happened? Are you alright? Did someone hurt you?
Taryn: N-No, I think I need a second. I’m sorry.
Kai: Okay. Let me run you a bath?
Taryn: Yeah, yeah that’s fine.
Taryn: [ mumbles ] Hey…
Kai: How are you feeling?
Taryn: Hungover and dead inside.
Kai: Ven. | Come.
Taryn: This is so stupid. I shouldn’t care this much, right?
Kai: Depends on who this is about. The stranger that left you in this state or Atlas?
Taryn: Both.
Kai: Well, if spending the night with a guy leaves you like this, maybe they aren’t the right person.
Taryn: He was kind. Gentle, even. A perfect first. The issue is me. I thought I was supposed to feel some type of way but I felt empty afterwards. Maybe I’m not built for one off things right now and that’s embarrassing to admit.
Kai: Hey, that’s completely alright. Everyone’s got different ways of going about things and you’ve been through a lot. As for Atlas.
Taryn: I, uh, I don’t want to be bitter, Kai.
Kai: Understandable.
Taryn: But it’s really fucking hard. I wish I hadn’t opened up, it backfires, it always does.
Kai: So you were vulnerable for a moment and it didn’t work out. Doesn’t mean you can’t try again. Taryn, you can’t let this be the reason why you shut people out.
Taryn: I know, I know, I just… Feel like every aspect of my life is an opening for rejection and he was the final blow. I shouldn’t blame him.
Kai: But it’s easy. Like you said, the final blow.
Taryn: Do you miss him?
Kai: Y-Yeah. I think I miss my friend most of all. Before everything got so messy.
Taryn: Isn’t it strange how things change all of a sudden?
Kai: Like I picked the wrong choice in a game and all the companions die.
Taryn: That’s so brutal!
Kai: A bit. There are a lot of things I need to make right with people. I don’t want my life to work like some sort of confessional. The constant need for repentance, you know? I guess I need to find the courage to actually reach out.
Taryn: You could… Always restart.
Kai: I will if you do.
Taryn: Maybe I’ll nut up someday.
Kai: PFFT- What?!
Taryn: Some kid told me that the other day.
Kai: Holy shit!
Taryn: I mean… There’s some truth in that. Hey, you think you can help me with something?
Kai: Sure!
Taryn: You still good with scissors?
Kai: Yeah, why?
Taryn: I feel like it’s time for a change.
Kai: Oh? This should be fun.

Some idea of what Gold Cloak Daemon did to the princess when he kept her in his chambers after Alicent tried to send her to the faith.
Even with how easily she’d learned to accept his use of her body, the aggression he pounded her with and the sheer frequency of times he did so eventually had her crying and babbling. Her cunt aching as if he had forcibly taken her maidenhood a second time.
Alicent’s attempt had put Daemon on edge. He punished the cunt of his dragonseed whore for her mother’s insolence, to ease his nerves, and to make sure her womb was put to use. Poor thing. Could hardly move by the end. Hardly think or feel. Aside from the throbbing in her lower body. All those days blurred together. Sometimes she was woken by the feeling of Daemon’s thrusts within her again.
The amount of days he kept her “prisoner” ran out soon. And she would have been free to go if she wished. If she could stand. But instead. After days upon days of ravaging. The princess lay on Daemon’s bed.
Her legs spread. Stained with seed that leaked from her. With bite marks on her thighs. Her rear red and achy with clear handprint marks. Bite marks again along her collarbones, neck, and breasts. Her body covered in sweat. As she pants and shudders. Her cunt red and almost gaping a little from the constant unrelenting penetration, as seed leaks from it. She twitches a little. Almost with a delirious grin on her face. There isn’t a rational thought in the poor girl’s brain. As she lies splayed and used. It’s enough to make Daemon hard again. And he moves closer to her, pulling her body toward him. She doesn’t fight him, just lying in such a sensative state. As he slowly pushes himself inside her again. He hardly needs to go all the way before she lets out a whimpering moan. His relentlessness left her painfully sensitive. For once he moves slowly. Giving occasional but firm thrusts and watching her moan and shiver every time he does.
He’s fully succeeded. The princess is indeed a dragonseed whore. A slave to his cock. Even enough that when he stops moving she manages to moan a “nooooo” and shakily tries moving her hips against him. Desperate for more from him.
“Oh? You want me to keep moving? Is that right little wanton bitch? Does that poor abused cunt just need me to continue?” Daemon croons gently. Despite the humiliating words he speaks. “You’re such a weak girl. Maidenhood taken by force in an alley and here you are, your body begging for the man who did it to fuck you like that again. You get off on it don’t you? Sick girl. Such a weak dragonseed cunt knows its place doesn’t it? Weak for the cock of a true Targaryen isn’t it?” Daemon purrs and holds her face. “You should repent for being such a sick girl. Pray to grow round with proper Targaryen bastards. You’ll be such a lucky dragonseed whore. Such a good vessel.” He finally thrusts harder then, making her gasp and moan, whimpering louder. “No good for being a princess. Just good for taking cock.”
Daemon grasps her hair in his hand and thrusts again, daring to pick up his pace despite her moans and shaking from the overload of sensation. “Ahhh. Right little bitch? Be mounted and bred like livestock?” He smirks as she babbles nonsense, coming completely undone on his cock. Her poor cunt close to finish again. She doesn’t care at all what he says. As long as he brings her over that lovely edge. And he knows it.
“Mine to fuck! Mine to use! I own this womb! I own this cunt! My little bitch! My dragonseed whore! Mine mine mine!”
With each word he thrusts, as she cries out in pleasure, and clenches around his cock. Yelping as she finishes, her body shaking with the force as she finally succumbs to the exhaustion. Who knows if she’s quite conscious as Daemon holds her. Declaring “my sweet girl” and kissing her desperately as he presses deep inside to fill her once again. He lies her down gently on the bed after. Her body finally limp. Completely exhausted. He smiles proudly at his handiwork. All the pleasure he’s introduced her to when he kept her to himself. He knows she’d never be able to leave him after this. He holds her limp body close to him. In a rare tender gesture, brushing hair out of her face before resting a hand on her lower belly. The nerve of her mother…. She must already be pregnant. He’s no fool. Those first few nights when he took her, he must’ve made sure of that. Her damn mother dared to try and take from the lord Commander? That woman will learn better than to try and take away his pet. Especially while she carried precious cargo. As said pet sleeps, Daemon thinks to himself of ways he can take such precautions
Oh she's completely cock drunk now, dumbification settling in nicely as her body rests.
Gold cloaks coming into the room; giving Daemon updates whilst the pretty Princess is bare and spread out on the bed sleeping. Its a stunning sight.

Here are the fruits of my tree so to speak.
It seems to me that we were given a jewel and we have spent 2000 years arguing about and worshipping the box it came in while disregarding the jewel itself. Imho that has lead to a fragile and distorted faith tradition that is falling apart internally because it was built on false foundations that are starting to show. In these times of Christian collapse, I sincerely hope the baby does not get thrown out with the bathwater. This is my humble attempt to save the baby for myself and if others benefit from that, cool. If not. That's ok to. Not here to argue. It shouldn't matter who I am or where I come from our my testimony. Facts is facts. Last note, these essays could include citations and sourced but an academic thesis wasn't the goal. If ppl want citations, biblical verses or other supporting evidence I'll happily provide it. That said, I do not respond to self righteous trolls or disrespect (subtle or blatant). I don't owe anyone's ego any coddling and I won't spend my time arguing with ppl that NEED to be right. We can debate in pursuit of clear perspective of the truth or not at all. My loyalty is to what is real, not to my opinion or some need to be correct and I won't respond to anyone especially internet randos who don't know me , attempting to project anything differently on me. Sorry for the lengthy preface but based on some of the interactions I've had in this community and on this network, it feels necessary.
Without further ado.
Buen provecho.

When Jesus said “repent,” he didn’t mean feel bad or apologize. He wasn’t talking about guilt, morality, or rule-following. The word he used was metanoia. It means going beyond the mind — not just thinking differently, but stepping outside of thought altogether.
Metanoia is a profound word. In Greek, meta means “beyond” and nous means “mind” or “intellect.” So it isn’t about rearranging your thoughts; it’s about transcending thought itself — piercing through the constant chatter of the mind to access a deeper awareness. This is what Zen Buddhism calls no-mind (mushin). It’s the stillness beneath the thoughts, the open clarity that remains when ego and narrative fall silent. It’s not about blanking out, but about seeing with fresh eyes, from a place of presence rather than identity. Not analyzing reality, but being it.
This isn’t about beliefs. It’s not about dogma. It’s not about miracles or supernatural stuff. It’s about waking up to a real, lived experience — where the sense of being a separate self drops away. It’s something you feel, something that happens in your awareness, not an idea you believe. Like what happens in deep meditation, or under psychedelics, or floating in a sensory deprivation tank: the constant mental noise shuts off, and suddenly you see clearly. There’s still awareness, still presence — but “you” as a little voice in the head is gone. That’s the shift.
That’s what Jesus meant by repentance. A shift in being, not behavior. A shift out of the false self. And when he told people to pray, this is what he was telling them to pray for. Not for stuff, not for safety or rewards — but to wake up to this state. And he said: believe you have received it, and it will be yours. But how do you believe in something if you’ve never seen it? You can’t — unless someone shows you it’s real. That’s what Jesus did. He showed people what was possible. And then the empire killed him, and after that, they hijacked the message, covered it in rituals and rules, and made people worship the finger instead of looking where it was pointing.
This is not theory. It’s not religion. It’s an experience. A real, direct shift in perception. Jesus wasn’t trying to start a religion. He was trying to wake people up.

A Critical Examination of Christian Doctrine and the Interpretation of Jesus’ Message
The doctrinal claim that “Jesus is the Son of God” is not an inevitable conclusion drawn from historical or linguistic analysis of biblical texts—it is a theological construct developed over time. The Hebrew Bible refers to many individuals and groups (e.g., Israel, David, the righteous) as “sons of God” or “children of God.” The exclusive metaphysical elevation of Jesus within Christian orthodoxy represents a post hoc theological development, not an unambiguous scriptural mandate. This exclusivist reading ignores both the semantic fluidity of the term and the cross-cultural ubiquity of divine embodiment in spiritual traditions.
Monogenēs: A Theological Misreading
A pivotal term in this doctrinal elevation is the Greek monogenēs, traditionally rendered in translations such as the King James Version as “only-begotten.” Modern linguistic and textual scholarship overwhelmingly supports its correct translation as “unique,” “one-of-a-kind,” or “singular in kind” (cf. Louw & Nida, BDAG). There is no inherent implication of literal divine procreation. The persistence of “only-begotten” reflects theological bias, not lexical integrity. This mistranslation has served to buttress a metaphysical status for Jesus that is simply not warranted by the text itself. It is an interpretive leap rooted in creedal formulations, not philological accuracy.
Metanoia and the Transpersonal State
A foundational concept in Jesus’ teaching is metanoia, disastrously mistranslated as “repentance” in most English Bibles. The term has nothing to do with guilt, remorse, or moralistic penitence. Metanoia is a compound of meta (beyond or after) and nous (mind), indicating a transformation that goes beyond conventional mental structures—what we might now call an altered or non-dual state of consciousness. It speaks to a fundamental reorientation of awareness: a direct experiential shift beyond egoic identity, into union with the divine or the unitive ground of being.
This is not speculative. The phenomenology of metanoia aligns closely with what has been described in mystical, contemplative, and psychedelic traditions throughout history. Experiences of ego dissolution, radical presence, and unity are not unique to Christianity and have been reliably catalyzed by contemplative practice, nature immersion, trauma, and certain entheogens like psilocybin. Jesus was articulating, in the language of his time, a perennial spiritual realization.
Jesus as a Transpersonal Revolutionary
Jesus’ message was not merely about internal transformation—it had radical socio-political implications. His proclamation that the Kingdom of God is within and his subversion of purity laws, sabbath restrictions, temple authority, and class divisions amounted to a direct challenge to the institutionalized religion of his day. Jesus was not naïve. He likely understood that openly advocating for a consciousness shift that bypassed institutional mediation and undermined hierarchies risked severe consequences. His embrace of that risk—ultimately culminating in crucifixion—can be seen as a strategic gamble: martyrdom might serve to preserve and amplify his message across time.
This contextual awareness underscores the integrity of his mission. He did not die to satisfy a cosmic legal debt, but to embody the consequences of radical truth-telling in a system committed to spiritual control. His death was not sacrificial atonement; it was spiritual defiance.
Sin and Hamartia: Missing the Mark
Much like metanoia, the term hamartia has been distorted. Traditionally rendered as “sin,” hamartia literally means “to miss the mark.” This is not a legal infraction but a failure to align with one’s deeper nature—an existential deviation from harmony, not a moral blot needing punishment. Jesus’ use of the term reflects his interest in spiritual misalignment, not inherited guilt. Again, Christian theology reconfigured a mystical insight into a juridical problem with a divine penalty, flattening nuance into dogma.
Almah and Gehenna: Weaponized Mistranslation
Doctrinal Christianity has similarly relied on mistranslations to fabricate concepts central to its narrative—most notoriously the virgin birth and eternal damnation. In Isaiah 7:14, the Hebrew word ‘almah simply means “young woman.” It was the Greek Septuagint’s use of parthenos (“virgin”) that introduced the idea of virgin birth into Christian tradition. The Gospel of Matthew, written with the Septuagint in mind, retrofits this idea into Jesus’ biography. The claim of virgin birth is not only textually unfounded in Hebrew but mirrors mythic motifs from other traditions—a common trope for signifying spiritual importance, not biological anomaly.
Gehenna, frequently mistranslated as “hell,” was a valley outside Jerusalem used as a trash heap and place of burning refuse. Jesus used it symbolically, as a metaphor for destruction, corruption, or spiritual ruin. There is no indication in the Hebrew tradition or in Jesus’ usage that it implied eternal conscious torment. The concept of hell as a place of infinite punishment stems from later Greek metaphysics and medieval theology—not from anything Jesus said or implied.
The Resurrection and the Ethics of Exclusivity
The insistence that belief in a literal, bodily resurrection is a non-negotiable requirement for salvation is ethically troubling and historically dubious. The earliest layers of the Christian tradition contain divergent, often contradictory resurrection accounts. What is clear is that post-Easter experiences of Jesus were visionary and interpretive—not journalistic. The resurrection, in its original context, likely symbolized vindication, transformation, and the enduring presence of Jesus’ spirit—not a biological reanimation.
Moreover, there is no coherent basis for claiming Christian exclusivity on the transmission of spiritual truth. There is more historically consistent documentation for the life and teachings of the Buddha than for Jesus. To anchor eternal fate in contested historical claims is not only intellectually fragile but morally indefensible.
Conclusion: Recovering the Message
The message of Jesus—direct experiential transformation into love, unity, and liberation—has been obscured under centuries of dogma, institutional control, and linguistic distortion. Terms like monogenēs, metanoia, hamartia, ‘almah, and Gehenna have been weaponized to support theological systems far removed from their original meaning. Christianity, as commonly presented, is often a mythologized, infantilized distortion—a Disneyfied abstraction that bypasses both the radicalism and the mysticism of Jesus’ vision.
To recover his message, we must return to its existential essence: not belief in doctrine, but awakening into the eternal now; not moral panic, but transformation; not exclusivity, but inclusivity. Jesus’ message was not unique because it was exclusive—it was powerful because it touched the universal. His teachings belong among the great expressions of non-dual awareness, rooted in direct experience rather than secondhand belief.
This is the Christianity that remains possible—not as a creed, but as a path. And to walk it is to undergo metanoia—a journey beyond the mind, beyond the ego, into the ground of love that transcends all religions.
Footnote:
ego dissolution isn't a belief— it is the full dissolution of the sense of a separate self from the world. Not just as a metaphor or abstract idea, but as a legitimate phenomenological shift in experience, often mirrored by distinct patterns in neural activity. It’s a journey from identification with the ego to union with the whole

hi lhmygosh YOU UNDERSTAND THEM SO MUCH.... Ive been unwell about them for. Oh desr god its december. Oh its been months. They compel me so much.
You absolutely get them so so much!!!! shota is absolutely 100% passively suicidal and I WILL argue this is supported by canon. he cares so hard and he sees oboro in his students. and he will do absolutely anything to save oboro so he throws himself into danger and he doesn't CARE how much he gets hurt and then that hurts zashi too because neither of these motherfuckers can EVERYONE see anything but that building!! all shota sees is oboro hurt, oboro dying, and anytime his students are in danger all he sees is that day and he HAS to save them. and then hizashi comes too late and all he sees is blood, all he sees is a boy who threw himself in front of those kids, all he sees is his best friend dying and he was TOO LATE.
like. god. you get it!! you absolutely get it. YOURE SO RIGHT ABT ALL OF IT takes your hand Yes lets skip through a field and talk about the sillies... Life is a dream!!! pleaseeee do elaborate about the sun/moon/sky thing? 👀👀 symbolism my beloved this sounds so good
OOHHHH MY GOD HELLO HI HI YOU . YOUUUUUU. YOU UNDERSTAND ME
GOD IM JUST SO. IT IS SO SO RARE TO FIND PPL WHO UNDERSTAND HIZASHI AND YOU ARE ONE OF THEM like yeah!!!!! he can be funny and silly but also uh. uuhhhmm. these are two deeply unwell and depressed people it’s just that shota kind of. checked out of his own brain and tunnel visioned on his one Thing and hizashi kind of worstened his already existing habit of throwing himself into situations where he is always too busy to think about anything and never has time to slow down because if he does he will completely fall apart. and they love each other!!! they do!!!!!! but i feel like there’s this tendency to like. make hizashi the More Stable one that has been trying to pull shota out of his depression tar pit but nnnooooo nooo like. they kind of constantly need to be holding each other above water because they will just drown on their own but also they are both not able to meet their own needs much less another persons. so the result is just. no one getting quite Enough and just sort of existing in near constant low level misery where they can’t let go of each other
and also it’s like. i think that’s the state they’re in Now but oh my GOD i think. those first couple of years after oboro’s death were fucking awful for their relationship and ughghhh fuucckk FUUUCCKCKK HANG ON WHERES RHE PAGE IM THINKING OF
THIS. THIS MAKES ME LIKE . ACTUALLY A LITTLE SICK TO THINK ABT. like fuck dude oh my god you can’t help him because he won’t let you but also you can’t stay away from him. you’ve tried. you always come back to each other eventually but all you can do is watch each other destroy yourselves because neither of you will allow the other to get genuinely close to you. in shota’s case obvs the like. actively shoving him away both out of a fear of losing someone that important to him again and because he kind of thinks he just needs to like. idk repent forever by eternally throwing himself into traffic for other people (which like uh yeah bbygirl for sure i believe you wanna be alive. yeah man) and like for hizashi it’s just. he misses shota and wants to be around him and care abt him but also he has this complete refusal to ever sit down and assess his own emotions and letting shota ever really know or help him would just. obliterate the constant perpetual motion he’s keeping up and the only way to deal with it is to just keep running himself into the ground
I. UUUUGGHHGHHHH THEY ARE SO ‼️ also i absolutely can get into sun/moon/sky thing in more detail i just have trouble articulating it but like. rruuauurhrhrhg. hizashi as the constant burning and bright Thing that keeps them all in motion, he’s all noise and light and can kind of just Go Forever until he runs out of fuel vs shota’s more calm static placement as the moon that keeps them steady, that tempers the tide and holds them in balance and makes them just slow down for a second to think and catch their breath
um. source: they are so silly
and. uugghgh UUUGGHHHHGGHH. oboro as the sky that holds them together and he is the Glue and the one that keeps them both from running off into different directions and getting distant and weird (which they were both. already prone to doing when he knew them to be so honest) but without him to be that tether they kind of end up doing exactly that. i think for those first few years especially they feel just. so far apart even if they sit right next to each other. because every time they look at each other they have to think about the space he left and they’re both running slightly off script without oboro there to preserve any kind of normalcy and they just. cannot let themselves slow down long enough to actually grieve what they’ve lost and find a new normal
ALSO THIS SHOT FROM MERRY GO ROUND MAKES ME FEEL SIIIIICCKKKKK LIKE. OH MY GOD THE CAT IN THE FOREGROUND OBVS BUT LIKE. THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THEM OUTLINED BY THE OPEN CLOUDY SKY YOU CANNOT BE FUCKING SERIOUS THIS IS INHUMANE

BUT YEAH LIKE. HOLY MOLY IVE BEEN YAPPING FOR A WHILE BUT THATS MY BIT. THANK U FOR COMPREHENDING MY INSANITY IVE BEEN GOING CRAZY ABT THEM FOR LIKE WEEKS

SPIRITUALITY IN ISLAM: PART 85: WUJUD (FINDING AND EXISTENCE). PART 1
Wujud (finding and existence) is not what is meant in Qur'anic statements like the following: They assuredly find that God is One Who truly returns the repentance of His servants with acceptance and extra reward, and All-Compassionate (especially toward His believing servants) (4:64); He will find God All-Forgiving, All Compassionate (especially towards His servants who seek forgiveness for their evils and sins) (4:110); and In the end he will find God and meet with Him, and He will pay him his account in full (24:39). These are, respectively, more concerned with how those who have sinned or lapsed somewhat into deviations on the way, beg God for forgiveness, and how the unbelievers will find God or how God will treat them. Rather, finding and existence denote the finding of Him with His truth beyond all concepts of modality, as referred to in, O son of Adam, seek Me that you may find Me, and some allegorical sayings of the Prophet, upon him be peace and blessings. When travelers to the Truth attain this rank of finding, they feel and achieve a state of melting away in the presence of the manifestations of His “Face,” with nothing being left behind except that state and the pleasure it gives. One who starts with this belief and advances toward knowledge and love of God is called “an initiate.” Such initiates continue their journey by understanding the language of His signs in the outer and in their inner world and by feeling that their witnessing of Him is that of “a seeking one.” Finally, when they have reached the ultimate point where they have found the truth in their consciousness according to the capacity of that consciousness, beyond all concepts of time, space and matter, each becomes the “one who has found.” The beginning of this journey demands belief and perfect resolution, and its continuance requires being driven and led, and reaching the end according to the capacity of each, melting away and total annihilation in the face of the rays of the Realm of the Holy Presence. This final point in no way denotes incarnation or union (with God) or God’s taking on a corporeal body or His being transformed into another being. It only denotes the state and pleasure of feeling as a drop in relation to the ocean and as a particle in relation to the sun. Abu'l Hasan al-Nuri expresses the state of those who have reached this point vividly: “I have been going to and fro between finding and losing for twenty years. When I enjoy meeting with my Lord Whose Essence is unknown, I lose my heart; and when I feel my existence in heart, I then suffer a loss of Him.”
Certainly, it is not possible for those who are still at the beginning of the way to feel the state described by al-Nuri. For this state, which is frequently felt and frequently disappears, resembles the state of a diver who feels the water when diving into it, and lets the water pull him or her deeper, and who feels only the water when he or she becomes “lost” in the depths. If such a feeling that appears on the way to reaching the truth of something is based on the knowing of the heart or consciousness, it is the culture of consciousness or cognizance in consciousness. If it is of the kind obtained with vision or insight, then it is sight. If travelers are in constant pursuit of increasing research, analysis, and synthesis, then the result is spiritual discovery and vision. Finally if they see everything annihilated in God, then their state is annihilation in God and subsistence with God, and they feel no need whatsoever for anybody else save Him.
At the beginning or in the first stage of the journey, travelers are saved from all doubts and hesitations and attain in their consciousness such a degree of knowledge of God that they no longer need deductive or inductive reasoning in the name of “finding,” even though they sometimes refer to things and events when expressing the truth. Based on a knowledge that comes directly from the Divine Presence to aid finding, they rise to the horizon of knowledge of God they inwardly experience, and this knowing is above the kind of knowledge acquired by rational arguments and the observation of His “material” witnesses in the universe.
In the second stage, travelers reach the point where they feel and have the vision of the Eternally Existent One, which is in effect knowing Him with a knowledge based on spiritual observation of Him, without restricting Him with such considerations as body, substance, matter, time and space.
In the third stage, which marks almost the end point of the journey, travelers are in a state of experiencing the Truly Existent One without seeing any other existents save Him, and they attain annihilation in Him in their world of feelings.
This systematization of the journey is based on the assertion that spiritual knowledge of God is higher in value than the knowledge acquired through scientific or rational arguments, and that the spiritual vision of God is above the spiritual knowledge of Him, and that finding Him in self-annihilation in Him is more valuable than the spiritual vision of Him. However, this needs to be revised according to those who see the vision beyond finding.
In fact, all of existence is nothing more than a shadow or a manifestation of the Names and Attributes of the Unique One, the Eternally-Besought-of-All. Travelers favored with the knowledge of the truth behind things and events sometimes go into a state where they experience only His absolute Existence to such a degree that they become completely lost in It and all other existent beings disappear from their sight. Although this is a state experienced spiritually, it is sometimes reduced to a mere philosophical view or to a matter of speculation, in imitation of others who have experienced this state spiritually, and it can be confused with several other approaches, such as the Unity of the Witnessed, Monism, and Pantheism. Although a discussion of these approaches and their substantial difference from the Unity of Being is not among the topics which will be discussed in The Emerald Hills of the Heart, it would be useful to note some of the important points, as this is a matter open to misunderstanding and misrepresentation.
Existence is related to being and/or identity, nature and the existent beings themselves, and is unquestionably manifest. This is a view shared by numerous Muslim thinkers, as well as by many modern philosophers. However, existence is different from the existent beings, identity, and nature. Identity and nature must be conceived of before existence. For example, we can conceive of an amount of water with its identity and nature, even if it does not exist here. Its existence is additional and accidental to its being or identity. Something cannot exist without its essential qualities being combined with certain accidental elements. As regards our example, different states and qualities of water are additional to its essential being or identity. Although the essential identity always remains as it was, without any changes, accidental and additional qualities can be replaced with similar others. Water, while remaining as water in essence, can change into ice or vapor.
Just as a physical substance like water has an essential identity and nature, metaphysical beings have also an essential identity and nature. However, in saying this, we should not confuse the Being Whose Existence is Essential and Absolutely Necessary with contingent beings. Muslim thinkers have accepted the Absolutely Necessary Existence as the Being Who is Absolutely and Uniquely Self-Existent, and have also agreed that His Being is absolutely free from requiring a nature or a form or a composition; need is essential to all other beings whose existence is contingent and created. The Self-Existent One is free from such accidental qualities. It is not permissible to associate the Necessarily Existent One with a different, additional nature or existence. We cannot even conceive of nor mention such a possibility with regard to Him; it would be supposing the inconceivable to be conceivable to explain the question.
It is He Who is discerned in the universe. All things, each individually and all as a whole, are signs of His Existence. Things and events run in a gurgling flow and clearly point to Him at every juncture of their being. In one respect, the universe and humanity are the of the continuity of this flow, and human consciousness is that which hears, views, and reviews it.
From this perspective, all existence (creation) comes from Him and continuously flows like a river with uninterrupted manifestations. Because of the order, coherence, and speed of this flow, we cannot discern the interruptions in our nature or in the lives of things. Since the “film” of things and events is projected extremely swiftly and the very thin lines between the frames on the film strip cannot be discerned, we cannot feel the alternation of coming into existence and disappearing. Like separate pictures on a film being projected on a screen, things and events are projected on the screen of existence, one after the other, but we cannot discern the lines separating the frames.
They come and go, one after the other, with the only Unique One remaining;
That which comes, goes, and that which goes does not come back again: this is a mystery.
Those who cannot penetrate this mystery spend their lives like an insensate person, who cannot see, hear, or feel anything. While others who have familiarity with this mystery sometimes refer to vision or to witnessing when observing the creation, they sometimes mention only the absolute Existence in interpreting their observation, or they sometimes utter some words that are apparently incompatible with the rules of the Shari'a that suggest union and incarnation. They do this because of their inability to find words that express their vision and discovery. It will even sometimes happen that there appears a person who is stuck in monism and who commits great sins by seeing the absolute Existence as if it were a permeating spirit that manifested itself as the creation. It is possible that the universe may be viewed as an image or a shadow, as it is a reflection of the Light of the absolute Existence, and that things and events, including humanity, can be seen as being unstable, transitory images. However, this does not by any means imply that the universe is He. The truth is that it is He Who eternally exists without anything else eternally existing with Him. He willed the objects or identities in His eternal Knowledge to be clothed in an external, sensible existence in accordance with the measures He determined for them. This happened along with or within time and space; in other words, time and space began or appeared together with His bringing forth the objects or identities existing in His Knowledge into external existence. He observes the manifestations of His Existence that are indescribable and beyond-all-concept with the eyes of others-the creatures He has created. He favors everything with the rank of being a polished mirror to Him.
He has done all this with the single command “Be!” and with this command He has clothed the archetypes in external existence and displayed them in different forms. As He has done all this with a single command, He can destroy everything in a moment with another single command.
He said “Be!” once and the whole universe was;
If He says, “Do not exist any longer!” everything will immediately be destroyed.
Since the universe did not exist eternally along with Him and since it was brought into existence by His peerless, inimitable creation, and since it continues to exist by His Sustaining, then its existence is relative and dependent and can be viewed as being essentially non-existent. Everything owes its existence and subsistence to Him absolutely. The Eternally Existent One willed that His perfections be observed in innumerable mirrors and so created existence as a shadow of the shadow of His Knowledge and Existence; this has included us as a part of creation. Our identities as “I,” “you”, and “he” or “she” had not been thoroughly distinguished with respect to our existence in His Knowledge. Destiny or His “Pre-Determination” identified us as individuals, and His Power clothed us in our “ego,” thus distinguishing and bringing us into external, sensible existence as complete individuals with different natures particular to each one of us. As He has manifested on us all His Attributes, He has entrusted us with a restricted will-power. He has also endowed us with different potentials which we can develop or realize as abilities. He has determined goals for us according to our abilities and endowed us with inclinations to realize those goals and has given us the ability to make use of or direct these inclinations. Thus, in addition to His Attributes of Knowledge and Existence, which He has manifested on us, He has also honored us with the manifestations of His other Attributes. So what behoves us is to willingly resign ourselves to this great, Divinely-willed honor and act accordingly.
Those who attain the horizon of viewing existence in a certain spiritual state regard their existence as essentially non-existent in the face of the essential, absolute, eternal, and everlasting Knowledge and Self-Existence of God. This means the non-acceptance of a transient shadow in the face of an Eternally Self-Existent One. Feeling that the whole of existence is as a single unit is different from that the whole of sensed existence is essentially identical with the absolute Existence. Divine truths are never the same as relative truths. Although the Divine Names and Attributes, such as God (Allah), the All-Merciful (al-Rahman), and the All-Providing (al-Razzaq) seem to point to a single truth concerning the Being called by or described by these, they are different both from the perspective of the concept to which each points and the impression that each causes to rise in minds. For this reason, one who has true, substantial knowledge of God considers the relation between the Truly Existent One and other beings whose existence is relative and dependent in proper terms, and observes the true criteria in thinking, while those who are in a certain state of experience and spritiual pleasure may lapse into confusion.
In the realm of the relative truths-the facts related to creation-there are manifestations with different names or titles, such as living and non-living, and in the living realm, there are the animals, humankind, angels, and jinn and Satan. All the existing beings that are called by such collective names can be traced back to a unity that arises from a stage or rank in the process of creation, which we call “the first determination” or “the Pure Realm of Divine Dominion” or the “Truth belonging to Ahmad” (the name of the Prophet before his coming to the world). The overall Divine manifestation in this stage is viewed as His overall manifestation over the whole of creation with all His Names (Tajalli Wahidiya), though some prefer to call it Tajalli Ahadiya. This manifestation caused the archetypes in God’s Knowledge to develop and, with the concentration of the manifestations of certain Divine Names while others remained subordinate-the manifestation which we usually call Tajalli Ahadiya-the archetypes were individualized.
One with a true knowledge of God and a true vision of the truth behind the appearances can discern the relative truth and its relation with the Divine truth and God’s absolute Oneness and His overall manifestation over the whole of creation with all His Names at the same instant. They do not lapse into confusion. Even though they feel that everything goes back and ends in an essential unity, they can see each individual being in its particular nature and therefore can distinguish between the absolute, necessary and essential Existence and the relative one. This does not cause them either to ignore the gifts coming from spiritual vision and discoveries or to remain indifferent to the acquisitions of feelings and sound reasoning. Those who have set up their royal tents on this horizon express their perceptions in their true nature and with a true distinction between those things that are absolute, essential and original and those that are relative and dependent. They conclude that although there is an absolute, essential truth, its manifestations as sensible existence are numerous. They never lose their bearings or true direction and therefore do not fall into deviancy.
In addition, the Existence of the Truth has usually been viewed from two perspectives. Looking from one perspective, the Attributes are ignored and therefore the differences among them or their manifestations are not considered. Those who view the Existence of the Truth from this perspective are people of state and vision, who concentrate only on the Divine Being Himself. Some view this perspective as that of the Pure Being, but leading scholars of Sufism give to it such designations as Uniqueness, the Pure Divine Realm, the Realm with No Determination, and the Unknown Identity. Those who have acquired this perspective, which is also a rank from where the Divine Being can be viewed, experience this state each according to his or her capacity. Looking from the other perspective, the Divine Being is considered with all His Attributes in the differences of their particular characteristics and manifestations. This perspective, which is also a rank, is designated as the Oneness, the Pure Realm of Divine Dominion, the First Determination, or the Truth of Muhammad.
God’s being the One or Oneness, which denotes, in connection with His relation to the creation, His overall manifestation of all His Names throughout the universe, has an inward and outer aspect. We can call the former His being the Deity or Divinity and the latter His being the Lord or Lordship. Although these two aspects are two faces or aspects of a single truth, there is a slight difference between them which initiates can discern, according to their personal experiences during the journey. For this reason, initiates of varying states, perceptions, and pleasures can interpret the states differently. For example, some initiates tend to do away with their carnal selves and egotism, freeing themselves from the considerations of their relative, self-existence, which they regard as an obstacle to feeling the All-Holy Existence with all their hearts. They are rooted in annihilation in God and absorbed in subsistence with God, sipping peace and contentment from the pure water of His company. Others have melted away in the face of the rays that come from the All-Holy Existence to the extent that they are unaware of their own relative existence and their surroundings. More than this, they regard the ability to discern the relative existence of others than the Absolute One as a dream and the attribution of existence to others than Him as covert polytheism.
It is natural that those who have different perceptions and feelings should voice these and interpret the issue of existence differently. Some may suggest pantheism in their styles, some monism, some may assert the Unity of Being, while still some others clearly adopt the Unity of the Witnessed.

I have been doing endless penance to Doctor strange supreme for the past 6 months.
Would you please listen to my story?
I had a very strange dream.
I was running, desperately fighting something that drove Captain Carter, Cahori, and the others, turning them into silent pieces of meat as I hunted the beasts.
In my tracks were piles of their remains, no longer in their original state. I don't feel guilty about it in any way. Rather, I felt accomplished in my dream that I had done a wonderful job, that this was my raison d'etre as a hunter.
And there he was at the end of the road, adorned with his carcass. He had his back to me, black, and the beauty of his golden patterned glow brought the world of darkness and blood to its knees. Oh, how beautiful He was.
I fell to my knees as I looked at his back and desperately pleaded for all the apologies I had in me and the human beings who needed his pain and presence. Stay with us, we have not forgotten your compassion and constant self-sacrifice for those you love. That it would be the same as if we were dying.
I cried and desperately repented to his back. I'd never heard words of repentance like that before in my life.
Then, unable to do anything but cry, the flesh of my left arm melted, the skin blanched, and the veins dropped to the ground like hoses.
From my decomposing left arm emerged, not bone, but a double-jointed arm encased in a white arm, a golden gauntlet, and a blue torso suit. I looked at this arm and instantly understood. This arm, my new left arm, was the arm of his figure that I always keep by my side.
I touched my left arm with my right arm. My left arm had no warmth at all, and the sensation of rubbing against the resin was perfectly identical to the sensation of touching a figure.
Then he was in front of me and disappeared into the darkness.
All I was left with was her returned blood and the left arm of his doll given to myself. So my dream ended.
I woke up and felt no sadness. I was just so happy. That my arm, collapsed and his arm grew back. I don't know if this dream was a wish or a curse, but for me it was a blessing.
What will change next? I want to go back to that dream world and continue the hunt and spell out my penance.

Happy New Year, hi, it's me again! I have a pretty long ask for you and there is no pressure; I've just been thinking about the Build a Problem musical again.
I think I realized that perhaps I was confusing the idea of having Build a Problem's Emma recognize her own worth with her finding her answer in self-love. She does not, in fact, do that; she learns that because she has worth outside of others (which isn't to say that it comes from her), she can put her relationships in the proper place and even become willing to surrender them for the good of the other. I suppose now the question is how to make that delineation clearer? I'm not entirely sure how much I did wrong, but I suppose Elaine's dialogue has problematic elements.
"But anyway, you’re going to have to learn how to be by yourself. It’s not that we won’t support you–we will–it’s that you’re the constant in your life and we can’t be. And yes, it’s hard, but then you’ll remember you matter in and of yourself, even without someone else to remind you."
"You're the constant"?! HAHA NO. WE MOST DECIDEDLY ARE NOT. "You matter in and of yourself"?! DANGEROUSLY close to "your worth is not assigned and is for yourself." I'll have to figure out how best to fix that. Putting that aside, I think Emma's lesson is most apparent during her apology, which demonstrates a mentality of "if you love something, set it free; if it doesn't come back, it was never yours to begin with."
Also, I've seen you comment on the rise of "nothing is evil, just misunderstood" and how dangerous that can be. I do worry a bit regarding Celeste's storyline as to how I'm portraying that and where my responsibilities lie. (Even though I'm a moral absolutist, I do have a strong belief in understanding the nuance of where people come from so as to guide them to what is right. That might make me a bad absolutist, or it might...I'm not sure.) She's rather aggressive; on one instance, she pins a panicked Emma to a wall and screams at her for trying too hard to save her. I like the idea of her being too reactive and I don't really wish to tone her down! I do, however, fear that this might be irresponsible of me because I also want her and Emma to reconcile. I am not trying to encourage my audience to continue relationships with people who are outright harmful--far from it. Her ability to resume her friendship with Emma is specifically out of her own repentance and out of Emma's willingness to provide this second chance. (This contrasts Celeste's relationship with Thomas, which has to end because neither of those elements are present.) And we do see Celeste feel regret: it leads her to try and provoke Emma into leaving (this is obviously not a healthy response, but it at least serves to establish her regret), and then they sing a duet about it. It's a very fine line to walk; is there anything I should be examining to make sure I'm not going along the lines of "nothing is evil, just misunderstood"? Do I need to tone Celeste down to facilitate this?
(While we're at it, her relationship with Theo is something that warrants examination like this. He unwittingly drinks alcohol that's been disguised from authorities in an innocent-seeming bottle and winds up kissing her on impulse. They're both seen feeling guilty afterwards, though time constraints prevent a detailed examination and she states in the resulting song that she "felt more than [she] care[s] to admit." I'm not sympathetic to this and it is most certainly wrong. When we next hear directly from Theo, though, he blames himself for the more distant consequence of Thomas hurting her for it, and that's not exactly reasonable. So this is yet another fine line because while that was his greatest error and a rather weighty one at that, it was his only major one. He's otherwise characterized as very gentle, but I want his actions treated with the weight they deserve. How can I best do that? Does he need to be somehow less gentle for it to come through?)
TL;DR: Emma might have learned about her own worth as opposed to finding her answer in self-love, and this understanding of her worth enables her to let go and do the loving thing rather than act out of fear. Celeste might be too volatile and I'm confident that her actions get the weight they deserve, but I'm afraid of being irresponsible by bringing her back to Emma, even though I try to make clear that this is only possible because of sincere repentance and an offered second chance. Theo's actions might not be given the full weight they deserve because we don't see enough of him after the fact and by the time we see him again, he's swung so far in the opposite direction of loathing himself that I feel like audiences are likely to let that reaction overrule the problems with his original action. And as always, thank you for your amazing work with everything! You are wonderful and your blog is wonderful and I pray that God will bless you throughout the coming year and always!
I think I might need to read the whole musical before I could give a super-accurate rundown of the questions you’re talking about 😅 but I’ll try anyway because you were thoughtful enough to take the time to write this much out and ask me!
I think you have your head on straight with all these questions, which is really good.
For example, I think you’re totally correct about what sounds like Celeste and Emma’s reconciliation. That’s the thing; the Bible teaches that while there can be forgiveness without repentance between humans, there can’t be restored relationship or reconciliation unless both parties are willing to repent of wrongs committed and forgive the other person.
So then the question “is Celeste’s wrongdoing being treated irresponsibly if she gets back to being friends with Emma?” has a good foundation. But it seems like you’re assuming that if someone who does something wrong reconciles with the person they hurt, then the wrongdoing doesn’t seem so wrong. But that’s not true at all—you just have to show the horrible consequences of her actions convincingly during the conviction part (the moment where Celeste realizes her wrongdoing), then fix the relationship with her repentance.
I mean, take Anna and Elsa (a sister-hurting-sister scenario seems like the best one to use as a template here?) Elsa hits Anna in the heart with her ice (literally, but during a scene where she’s figuratively pushing Anna away, which has been the main source of hurt in their whole relationship.) That was Elsa’s wrongdoing. Elsa realizes how bad that was, how wrong she was, when Anna freezes in front of her. That scene is great because it shows Elsa completely devastated by what she’s done. She’s sobbing and clinging to Anna—which is important, because for the entire movie Elsa has been doing the opposite of clinging. She’s been pushing away. So right there, you see the beginnings of ‘repentance.” She caused a hurt, she sees that the hurt is bad, and she’s taking an action that is the opposite of the hurt she caused.
But remember, Anna is also, in that moment, showing Elsa unconditional, self-sacrificial love. Elsa pushed Anna away with devastating, life-threatening consequences. Because of Elsa, Anna had her heart not only frozen, but broken. And Elsa never once did anything that would make Anna believe she would change, or stop pushing her away. Yet. Anna still chose to save her, knowing it would mean dying. Elsa did nothing to deserve it. Elsa did not indicate to Anna that Anna’s act of good will would change her. Anna simply did it with no thought of gain, with no hope of a better relationship afterward, because she loves Elsa regardless of the hurt caused.
It is important that Elsa sees that. Because seeing unconditional love is often what forces humans to realize the weight of their wrongdoing. Because unconditional love is so the opposite of whatever they did wrong. So it often unlocks the wrongdoer’s ability to repent.
Basically, what I’m saying is, as long as you show not only the audience, but Celeste herself, the horrible consequences of her wrongdoing and the hurt that it caused, and show it convincingly, (which often takes the wrongdoer realizing the unconditional love or innocence of the person they hurt,) then you won’t need to worry about whether or not that wrongdoing was considered “absolutely evil.”
Of course Elsa pushing Anna away and freezing her heart was the wrong thing to do. Anna’s frozen now. Elsa can’t do anything to undo what she’s done. It’s too late for her to be clinging to Anna.
and THEN
like a beautiful sunrise bursting through clouds
You show how love is stronger than evil. You show how self-sacrifice is love. You show how, when both people are repentant and willing to forgive because of that self-sacrificial love, the wrongdoing isn’t stronger than the love.
After all, that’s the whole point of showing evil—to defeat it. Sometimes you defeat it by punishing the unrepentant wrongdoer. Sometimes you defeat it’s effect by making the wrongdoer repentant. But either way, the evil isn’t stronger than the good.
Moving on
I don’t think it sounds like Theo needs to be less gentle for the weight of his actions to come through. I think his gentleness actually could highlight how wrong his actions were. Because if he’s got feelings under the surface of gentleness, which alcohol caused him to act on, then that puts the gentle surface in a less-moral light. Kissing her on an alcohol-influenced basis wasn’t the first thing he did wrong. The first thing he did wrong was let those feelings he had for Emma stay alive deep down inside him, even if they were buried—he shouldn’t have buried them, because then something like alcohol could dig them up. He should’ve killed them. The second thing he did wrong was be unwise and lack selfless introspection: the idea is that he knew somewhere that he had those feelings, and hadn’t killed them yet, and THEN let himself be in a situation alone with Emma, makes his “gentleness” seem even more like a facade. You can make clear, in some way, that the alcohol isn’t what created the wrong. It just brought it to the surface.
People who have feelings for someone who does not belong to them, but is already on some level promised to someone else, should not let those feelings linger or stick around. That is wrong. Unrequited “love” stops being loving and starts being a wrong thing to feel when you learn that it is unrequited. Entertaining a romantic feeling for someone, in any way, after you know that you can’t serve that person with those romantic feelings, is wrong. Theo should’ve killed those feelings or, if that was too hard, removed temptation by setting up boundaries. Not being alone in a room with Emma; not getting into deep personal discussions where one heart can speak to the other heart with Emma; not letting Emma talk about Thomas (her boyfriend?) in a negative way around him, etc.
But…maybe I’m misunderstanding him? I’d have to know more about the character.
I mean, it’s fine if the character is so non-introspective that he never realized he wanted to kiss Emma before alcohol brought it up. But. It was still wrong. Because introspection is not just the right thing to do for yourself, but the right thing to do when your goal is to have selfless relationships with friends, family, and lovers alike. Anyway.
The point is, no, I don’t think you need to make Theo any less gentle. I think you should make it subtly clear that Theo has a problem with carelessness. (I actually have a friend who/s biggest character flaw is this.) It’s all well and good to be a dude who is happy, sweet, would never intentionally harm anybody or get between his friends…but if you never intentionally prevent yourself from harming anybody, by doing the work to look at how you could actively care for someone (think about doing what’s best for them, which would’ve led him to avoid being alone with Emma) then you’re careless. You’re sweet, and you’re kind, and you’re not meaning to hurt, but…that’s your problem, because you’re also not meaning to do much of anything. You’re coasting along through your relationships with no careful thought, just assuming vaguely good intentions and an even vaguer “sweetness” vibe will be enough to keep you and your friends out of trouble.
You could do that by characterizing him carefully even before the kiss scene. Have him make jokes in large group of friends, and everybody laughs, and clearly he’s not meaning to hurt anybody, but the girl he slings his arm around when he says it is clearly offended by the joke…and Theo doesn’t notice. Have him walk into a serious conversation between two or three of his friends, and then try to “lighten the mood,” when clearly what his friends probably needed more was for him to take what they’re talking about seriously, and join in. If there’s ever a scene where everybody’s at a dance party, have him dance really spazzy to try and make one awkward person laugh—but he’s not being careful of his surroundings and accidentally elbows somebody in the face. You know. Little characterization traits that show the audience, “this is Theo, he’s a sweet guy, but he’s a little careless, needs to learn to be introspective and intentional.” Then when he kisses Emma, you’ve subtly built this up: Theo would never try to cause trouble between Emma and Thomas, but he also isn’t careful enough to not try to cause trouble between Emma and Thomas.
I don’t know if that’s helpful, I don’t know the characters well enough.
As for the big main question, with what allows Emma to stop acting out of fear—I still think making her own “worth” the thing is going to be a little too tricky for you without establishing where she gets that idea of “worth” from. It can’t come from others, so where’s it coming from? I would avoid that idea altogether, but that’s just me. Maybe you can figure a way around it.
I would simply replace the motive of fear with a new understanding of what unconditional love for others looks like. She’s not willing to sacrifice because she knows her WORTH—in fact, she’s not thinking about her worth, or her safety, or her security, at all—because she’s entirely stopped thinking of herself. She’s just thinking of them.
But again…it’s hard to explain why or how she goes from thinking about herself to thinking more of others. You do need a catalyst in there that causes her to make the switch. Don’t know if this helps!

so i have a take i haven't seen brought up:
a LOT of people who "give up" their bigoted view points or 'apologize' don't actually do either of those things but if they do they don't flip a switch and start having good morals and worldviews. I'm sure there's a few, but the majority who do those two things do them to reenter society specifically because they were shunned/are pissed off by their bigoted social circle.
being a bigot comes with a status that strokes your ego ideologically (the very message of bigotry is that you are better than some group) and practically (you are more secure in your bigot friendships because you are bonded together by hating the same things. that is socially enforced by both the constant reaffirmation and praise the hate group gives you, the 'in group' status, and the alienation from lesser than groups.)
when they 'leave' those ideas behind, if they honestly do, they keep the same levels of hate and insecurity. They reenter society with the old, "i repent my sins, whatever they were." line then look for an acceptable target that their new less-bigoted friend or social group will let them displace that anger and self loathing onto. same shit, different target. they still have the same hole in them that they turned to bigotry to fill. sometimes they just need education but more often they need to think about where that hole came from.
it's like saying: could you personally forgive someone who had an alcoholic phase? that's a nonsense sentence. if they are an alcoholic then it isn't a phase. if they had a heavy drinking phase that's different and contingent on their age, social circle and the damage it has done to themselves and others to see how much they have to do to fix their life. but all that is meaningless.
that's because bigotry like alcoholism is chronic. it's serious. it is treatable but is even less treatable than alcoholism. I know many alcoholics who have given up drinking and it's as hard for them 30 years on as 6.
alcoholism is an emotional and physical addiction that has programs in every state that can help alleviate the worst of the mental and physical toll of it. there is often clear group therapy methods and steps to making amends and accepting responsibility.
bigotry is an emotional and social dependance on a shitty coping mechanism. i know there are some orgs that help people change/mitigate that behavior but they aren't as widespread or effective. you can quit drinking, it's often easier to avoid drinking than hate. it's even harder though to quit thinking in shitty ways that make you feel better.
so no, you shouldn't "forgive" someone who has a bigotry phase because it's not a phase. it's a serious chronic problem that's very dependent on their attitude towards the problem and their social circle. my sister in laws are both gay. my husband's grandma is in her 80s and accepted/supported one when she came out only to turn around a month later and fully turn homophobic when her friends and extended family didn't support her support. if she told my sister in laws on her death bed that she supported them and loved them, that would be nice... but it would be bullshit because she wasn't there when they needed her and every year she stays homophobic is additional injury she needs to come to terms with. she chose her social circle over their happiness and lives to a large degree. she wouldn't be doing anything to make that right or understand what she did that was wrong or why.
sorry for the rant. i just think some people on here have not been sufficiently burned by a hypocrite and it shows. the cruelty of the bigotry is the point. it takes years of external and internal work, not guilt or repentance, to undo.
Could you personally forgive someone who had a neo-Nazi “phase” as an adult? Assuming they’re trying to make amends for their past behavior/beliefs
Context for the “could you forgive someone who had a neo-Nazi phase” question I sent because people are making assumptions about the motive behind it: I have never been a neo-Nazi and don’t think people are obligated to forgive anyone who has. I asked that question because I recently went no contact with a family member after he shared his bigoted viewpoints. I was thinking about how I might react if he ever denounced his bigotry and tried to make up for it, and if I could forgive him or not. The question wasn’t about me, I just wanted to see what others thought about the topic.

In times of crisis or when facing suicidal thoughts, it is essential to seek solace and support.
We live in a world full of challenges that can overwhelm anyone easily. Many people struggle to find the right solutions for their emotional pain and worries. This dysfunction affects not only individuals but also families and communities as well.
In the Bible, two instances of suicide involved hanging as a method. Ahitofel, who betrayed King David, chose to hang himself as punishment for his actions. (2 Sam. 17:23.) Judas Iscariote also used hanging to end his life after betraying Jesus. (Mt. 27:5.) Both characters faced severe consequences for their betrayals, reflecting deep feelings of guilt and despair. Their stories serve as somber reminders of the tragic effects of betrayal and remorse.
There is help available to overcome the feelings of suicidal thoughts and despair!
Talking to a friend or professional can provide support and guidance during tough times. (Prov. 17:17.) Remember, you are not alone; many people face similar struggles and find hope. Seeking therapy can help to understand your feelings and develop coping strategies effectively. Finding a support group offers comfort, understanding, and a sense of community during difficult moments.
Sorrow and tears can often hide the true feelings of a person. Genuine remorse needs to come from a place of deep understanding and reflection, not just emotion. Remorse can surface easily, but it doesn’t always mean true change. The heart's intention is crucial when determining if someone is genuinely sorry. True repentance involves recognizing one's mistakes and striving to make them right.
Ask Jehovah God: To change your heart!
Eze. 36:26 - “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit inside you. I will remove the heart of stone from your body and give you a heart of flesh. “ A heart of flesh means That is, one sensitive to God’s guidance.
Jehovah God can perform inner peace and blessings through one mediator, between Jehovah God and men, when we truly believe whom is Jesus Christ. ( Phil. 4:7; John 14:27.) When we lose hope, turning to Jehovah and Jesus can bring incredible change and healing into our lives. Blessings happen every day when we trust in Jehovah God and His Son. For Jehovah God, “all is possible.” (Mt. 19:26; Luke 1:37.)
4. The more we draw near to Jehovah and Jesus, the stronger our faith becomes leads to more blessings onto our lives. (James 4:8.) Believing in Jehovah God and Jesus Christ invites powerful transformations into our mundane existence. ( Hebrews 11:6.)
Fight Satan and his demons!
An enemy of Jehovah God hides in shadows and seeks to remain secret. Many people today are unaware of the spiritual warfare happening around us all daily. This hidden enemy uses deception to lead innocent souls away from the truth. Good versus evil is a constant struggle that influences lives in various ways. Understanding this spiritual warfare helps believers remain strong in their faith and truth.
Put on the complete suit of armor from God so that you may be able to stand firm against the crafty acts of the Devil; because we have a struggle, not against blood and flesh, but against the governments, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places. For this reason take up the complete suit of armor from God, so that you may be able to resist in the wicked day and, after you have accomplished everything, to stand firm - Ephesians 6:11-13.
Praying regularly can create a strong barrier against evil forces like Satan. James 4:7, which states "Therefore, subject yourselves to God; but oppose the Devil, and he will flee from you. “ Verse 8 says to “Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you," this is a key verse in the concept of spiritual warfare. It emphasizes the importance of submitting to God and actively resisting the devil as a means of overcoming evil influences.
Reading sacred texts can help you stay grounded in your faith and conviction. Keeping your thoughts pure brings light into your life, pushing away darkness. Engaging in acts of kindness can shift focus away from darkness and negativity. Surround yourself with positive people who uplift you and share your beliefs.
Start fresh in life!
Trust in Jehovah God and Jesus to lead you toward a joyful life. When you invite God and Jesus into your heart, they bring peace and direction. (Proverbs 3:5-6.) Allowing Jehovah and Jesus to guide you can transform your life completely. By following the teachings of Jehovah God and Jesus, you find endless hope and joy.
We face tough challenges today, but we can rise above them together. Many negative traits can influence us, making it essential to stand strong against them. By recognizing these harmful influences, we empower ourselves to choose better paths. Here are some traits to reject to make these changes for a better life.
2 Tim. 3: 1-7.
1 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. 6 From among these arise men who slyly work their way into households and captivate weak women loaded down with sins, led by various desires, 7 always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth.
When you feel despair, remember that Jehovah God can guide your heart. Suicidal thoughts can be heavy, but turning to Jehovah brings comfort and peace. In moments of darkness, trust that Jehovah God is always here for you. Come to me, all you who are toiling ( or “struggling hard.” Or possibly, “weary; tired.” ) and loaded down, and I will refresh you. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and you will find refreshment for yourselves. 30 For my yoke is kindly, and my load is light.”
Romans 12:2 encourages transformation through the renewal of the mind, and 1 Peter 5:8 urges vigilance against the devil's attacks on the mind.
Scriptures can offer guidance on replacing negative thoughts with positive ones. Philippians 4:8 encourages focusing on "whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things. 9 The things that you learned as well as accepted and heard and saw in connection with me, practice these, and the God of peace will be with you.
Knowing that Jehovah God walks with us can help lighten our burdens significantly. Reach out to God during your struggles, and His love will lift you up. Difficult times may surround us, but together we can overcome all adversities united. Seek guidance from Jehovah God and Jesus and the Bible scriptures , and watch your life change beautifully.

Morning and Evening with A.W. Tozer Devotional for February 16
Tozer in the Morning "I am with You Always"
It is hardly possible to overstress the importance of unceasing inward prayer on the part of the one who would live the God-conscious life. Prayer at stated times is good and right; we will never outgrow the need of it while we remain on earth. But this kind of prayer must be supported and perfected by the habit of constant, unspoken prayer. But someone may question whether in a world like this it is possible to think of God constantly. Would it not be too great a burden to try to keep God constantly in the focus of our minds while carrying on our normal activities in this noisy and highly complex civilization? Francois Malaval had the answer to this: "The wings of the dove do not weigh it down," he said. "They carry and support it. And so the thought of God is never a burden; it is a gentle breeze which bears us up, a hand which supports us and raises us, a light which guides us, and a spirit which vivifies us though we do not feel its working." We a ll know how the presence of someone we deeply love lifts our spirits and suffuses us with a radiant sense of peace and well-being. So the one who loves God supremely is lifted into rapture by His conscious Presence. "Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord" (John 20:20). If only we would stop lamenting and look up. God is here. Christ is risen. The Spirit has been poured out from on high. All this we know as theological truth. It remains for us to turn it into joyous spiritual experience. And how is this accomplished? There is no new technique; if it is new it is false. The old, old method still works. Conscious fellowship with Christ is by faith, love and obedience. And the humblest believer need not be without these.
Tozer in the Evening From Failure to Radical Transformation
For all his faults, or perhaps because of them, Peter could do one thing superbly: he could shed tears of grief when he had offended his Savior. The ability to repent is a sweet treasure, and one that is rare among us these days. If we had Peter's penitent heart, we might go on to have his purity and his power. Should the contemplation of Peter's faults give aid and comfort to an impenitent heart, then that heart has only itself to blame. God never intended that we should hide our unconfessed sins behind the confessed faults of a saint. Peter's contrary nature drove him to God. Unless ours does the same, Peter will have lived in vain for us.
Anyway, we are glad Peter lived, and we are glad Christ found him. He is so much like so many of us, at least in his weaknesses. It only remains for us to learn also the secret of his strength.

infodump away, my good friend — 1) guilt for silas, 2) midnight for charlotte, and/or 3) hunt for leo
:^) Oh boy!
Silas
As you know extremely well, Silas is the embodiment of Catholic guilt. I am not exaggerating in the slightest that he's convinced he's damned. The fact that he died and is currently Schrodinger's Zombie is not helping. He does think that God has given him one final chance but the only way he's salvaging his life is by making some sort of incredibly grand sacrifice that nobody else could possibly do. He's not sure what it is, but he's sure that God is going to guide him to it.
Being that he's damned, it logically follows (at least in his own head) that he can't become more damned on the path to being not damned, and that's why this keeps involving him committing nonviolent crimes (he doesn't want to actually kill anyone because if he does, they might die without getting a chance to repent for anything they did wrong, which is bad.) That aside, he is exceptionally perfectionistic when it comes to his behavior, down to never swearing, but this is more trying to prove to God that he really genuinely means he wants to be saved and is willing to do whatever it takes.
The extreme tl;dr of how this all started is he got dragged into running some errands for a local crime syndicate when he was young and desperately trying to keep his family out of poverty. He was gullible enough he didn't completely understand what he was getting into until it was too late and they didn't take him trying to do the right thing and back out well.
They didn't expect him to come back, of course. :V
Charlotte
I'm not going to dance around the issue, Charlotte has borderline personality disorder. So the questions around what her anxieties et al are is...a lot, and she does in fact tend to sleep pretty poorly because she's in a near-constant state of agitation despite not looking like it. This can be more "positive" in the sense of her hitting a grandiose phase where she's busy with working and plotting, or negative in the sense she's collapsed into a self-loathing lump.
Charlotte is exceptionally concerned with coming across as sensible, no-nonsense, and generally someone who both is taken seriously but also is the kind of person you aren't afraid to approach with your problems. There's some element of brutal practicality to this, because she knows that knowing everyone else's dirty secrets is worth its weight in gold and also she does kind of deal in acting as a ringleader for a third-party whistleblower who can silently release information about social parties (whether they be corporations, politicians, or anything else) who would otherwise be too dangerous to speak openly against for a single person.
She really, really, really, really is invested in this idea of herself as a clever above-it-all social manipulator. On some level, she expects everyone to be completely transactional in their relationships with her
Unfortunately, she is very aware that she has actual emotions and that they're pretty difficult to control. She hates the general fact that there is a seething core of anger, fear, and frustration that's constantly boiling beneath the surface because it's so contrary to what she wants to think of herself as being like and because she knows people won't like it if they see it. Like a lot of people with "quiet" borderline, she tries to bury her emotions until she has an implosive episode. She's still incredibly petty and vengeful when she feels slighted and fantasizing about revenge is something she's very prone to do.
(Side note, she's a lot easier to manipulate than she wants to believe she is and she's very easily won over by flattery, it's not a coincidence that her two most consistent partners are very effusive in their affection, which is good because she needs near-constant reassurance but struggles with actually asking for it, so someone who's going to show it without her actively prompting it helps. A lot.)
...oh, and she can't have nightmares. Like, literally. It's impossible. So that doesn't really keep her from sleeping but everything else does.
Leo
So. Leo's dad is a piece of work. Here's his theme song. Anyway, they aren't outright trying to kill each other but they're both strongly considering it.
Leo's dad (hence, Elijah) works for a subsidiary of Cheiron Corp called Maranatha and is currently Maranatha's CEO, a position he inherited from his father/Leo's grandfather. Maranatha takes a more biblical approach to Cheiron's usage of monster parts-- specifically, they believe that humans were meant to inherit the Earth and are allowed to have full dominion over what's in it. Monsters are trying to take that birthright from them...and if humans are allowed to take all resources of the world that God gave to them, it's only right that they take power from monsters in order to ensure the world remains in their hands.
(EXTREME oversimplification here but we'll be here all day if I give the full theological details, it's essentially a Christian dominionist worldview.)
Leo grew up extremely sheltered (technically relevant: they're DFAB, I always assumed this was implicitly obvious but it seemed like it flew over the heads of a lot of people in the game they were in? I guess you need an understanding of typical gender role dynamics within American evangelical subcultures) and their future was always kind of decided for them. They never knew what kind of wetwork their dad was involved in until it was too late.
Maranatha had developed a new, highly experimental procedure and they needed a host for what they believed was a new and heretoforth unseen relic, a part of God's body itself. If you ask Elijah Giles, he'd prayed long and hard on the matter, and giving up his eldest child was no easy feat. Men are usually the one on the front lines, anyone else getting the chance to take up the sword of judgement is rare indeed. Still, he was sure he'd made the right choice. Leo was devout, pure, the perfect servant of God. They'd earned it in a sense, even if they were an unconventional choice.
Still, it's a little suspicious he didn't choose his trueborn son over his daughters when they'd tried so hard for so long to have a proper heir, isn't it? Especially given how dangerous it'd have been.
The procedure failed in a way that absolutely nobody expected when the Dark Mother pulled the metaphysical equivalent of "I licked it, it's mine now" which is why Leo is both a Stigmatic and a Beast. They did not have a good time and it's going to be everyone else's problem, especially Maranatha. Leo's been hunting them down with single-minded dedication and their secondary focus is on the God-Machine itself, which they have internalized an extremely odd theology around (I think I've mentioned the Church of the Night Angel on this blog before, so...they are an extremely devout member of it to the point that more senior members have been desperately trying to keep a metaphorical leash on them so they don't do something stupid in the pursuit of the Church's goals.)
Leo is...less paranoid than you'd expect because they have absolute faith in the Dark Mother to lead them down the right path. They are absolutely desperate to trust people, in fact, and while they can be a bit wary of others at first they try their best to be friendly, the problem is that their "friendly" is deeply offputting for reasons that are very complicated to explain but long story short they are incredibly socially awkward and only part of that is from being so isolated they only had extended contact with their family and a few other people within the Maranatha inner circle until they were ten.
#beast as a metaphor for pwpd yayyyy woooohoooo#then i just gave them pds anyway yayyyyy#well leo just kind of reads as slightly schizotypal but i wouldn't say they've got a clinical case of it#a lot of their symptoms are more accounted for by neurological damage#anyway i love charlotte and my weird little religious guys#oc tag#leo#charlotte#silas

YHWH says I want you to be saved and sanctified! I want you to be Kingdom Ambassadors for the Kingdom!
To my kids,
This is your Abba. The Great I Am. The Beginning and the End. The Alpha and the Omega. Your Creator. Your safe place. Your refuge. Your defense. Your provider and protector. Your King. Your Daddy.
I wanted to let you know that I understand that there are so many of my kids who think that just being saved is good enough. I want you all to know that it's not. I desire you all to desire more than just saying a prayer to get saved. I require a relationship with my kids. For there to be an intimate relationship, there has to be a lot of communication between 2 people, trust, belief, and love. How can there be an intimate relationship if all you do is say a prayer and go to church 2x's a year? You can't and I will not accept that as okay! I want so much more than that! Any normal person who is in a relationship with someone else, would not be okay with you just saying that you are in a relationship, but then, never talk to them. Why would you think that I would be okay with that? I am not! I am literally telling you right now that I am not okay with you all just saying a prayer!
Here is what I do require:
Constant communication via prayer
Reading my Word, learning about Me and learning about what I like and what I do not like.
Praise and worship Me
Spend time with other Believers who desire Me
Doing these things are going to help me know that you actually want a relationship with Me. If you truly desire a relationship with Me, you're going to seek after Me (Matthew 6:33), and you are going to desire things that I want for you, and want it for yourself too.
A great example of this kind of relationship would be Daniel in the Bible, or even Joseph. They are both great men of G-d who desired me more than anything, and they were able to do amazing things for Me.
The next thing you might be wanting to know is..."Yes, they both had a great relationship with You, but they went through a lot of terrible things. Why would I want to go through terrible things? It's safer this way." Here is My response to that: If you aren't wanting to be in an intimate relationship with Me because of the fear of the possibility of you having to go through terrible things, then you aren't someone who I want in My Kingdom. Period. End of story. If you aren't willing to die for your King, then I can't trust you to be on My side. Scripture even states in the Old and New Covenant that you are going through hard times, that things won't be easy. I don't know why My kids think and feel like their life is going to be easy if they become a Believer. My Word literally says otherwise. It's obvious that so many of My kids don't really want Me. They want the "Get Out of Hell" Free Card, but they don't want Me. That breaks My heart. It really upsets Me to know that My kids don't really want Me. They claim Me, but they really don't want Me. They may desire the knowledge about Me, and try to understand My Word more, but that doesn't mean that they know Me. My kids can say that they do all these things in My name, but that doesn't mean that they know Me. There are so many of My kids who have been deceived into thinking that they are even mine at all. Just saying a prayer isn't good enough. Even getting baptized is good, but not enough. When you admit that you have sinned, and are a sinner and need a Savior. When you believe in the L-rd Yeshua (Jesus Christ), that He came to Earth as a baby, lived here on Earth working miracles, signs, and wonders and teaching the Old Covenant in a way that the people would understand it, and allowed them to see G-d in the flesh so that they could develop an intimate relationship with Him, and then, died on the cross and resurrected on the 3rd day. When you repent from all your sins, turn from your sins, and turn towards Me, and are baptized in water...then you are saved from your sins. You are a Believer in Yeshua (Jesus Christ) at that point. That means that you are in My family at that point! However, that is NOT the end of My requirements to be part of My Kingdom.
You might be saying, "What do you mean that is not the end of your requirements?" My response is this: I require more than just the bare minimum to be called Mine. You may get into the family, but if you live in sin still or if you don't forgive others, or you choose to live in the 9 sins that I am not okay with....that makes you no better than a Lukewarm Believer, and I will spit you out of My mouth! I would rather you be Hot or Cold. I absolutely hate it when people are lukewarm! If you would rather choose your idols (things, people, places, and ideas that you put above Me), then I am NOT okay with that! I am a jealous G-d! I desire your full attention! I desire your heart, your mind, your thoughts, your emotions, your soul, and your flesh. I want you! All of you, and NOT just a part. Too many are NOT willing to give Me everything. They hold on to what they want, and only give Me what they don't want. That is NOT okay either.
I want you to trust Me. If you can trust everyone and everything else, then why can't you trust Me? All I want is to give you a better life, a better way of living and being, so why are you fighting Me? Most people, don't trust Me due to their own traumas, and insecurities. They think that I want them to keep living and being like that. Uh....NO! I want you to be healed! I want you to be whole! I want you to be restored!
Once you say the prayer of repentance and get baptized, the rest of your journey with Me is called the Salvation Journey, or the Journey of Sanctification. Salvation can also be called justification or deliverance. Yeshua delivers sinners from their sins. He literally died on a cross, an agonizing death where He wasn't even recognizable afterwards, for you! I know it's hard to imagine that someone could do that for you, but guess what? My Son did. I do. I created you for a purpose. I made you for purpose for the Kingdom. I desire for you to be My hands, feet, eyes and ears to help Me reach My people on the Earth. Yet, there are so many who don't live out their true purpose because they would much rather be safe in their sins, or their traumas and insecurities, or even just safe in their "okay life." I have so much more for you! So much more! Just because you get saved, doesn't mean that you know Me. Just because you live a life that is sanctified, and can heal people, or prophecy, doesn't mean that you know Me. Those who are trying to live a life that is sanctified and holy, those people are a lot closer than those who simply just said a prayer. I desire My kids to be soldiers in My army! I want you all trained how to fight the Enemy! I want you all to have My power to reach the nations! I want you to be able to do greater works than even Yeshua (Jesus Christ) was able to do! But...that can't happen...if you don't know My voice, if you don't know My laws and commandments, if you don't know My likes and dislikes, if you don't follow what I tell you to follow...then, I really can't trust you with more if you can't even do what I've asked you to do already.
There are denominations that literally prevent My kids from being who they are supposed to be in Me. You might be thinking that I'm talking about a non-Christian faith, but you'd be wrong! There are so many denominations that restrict your fullness in Me. If you are in the "Once Saved, Always Saved," that's a false doctrine. If you are being taught that you don't need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, then you are being taught a false doctrine. When you become a Believer in the faith, in My family, I need you to have everything that I have to give you to do your full purpose here on this Earth! That includes being filled in the Holy Spirit, and having His power! When you get saved, you do obtain the Holy Spirit, but you have to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, in order to fully ignite Him to get His full power. There are denominations that teach against that...it is wrong! All these denominations were man-made, not G-d-made. I didn't create them. The faith that was started with the Early Church, has not been shared correctly over the years. The people who shared it, were held accountable by the apostles; however, over time, that accountability went out the window, and that's when things went haywire. The Christian faith is NOT like the original one in the Bible. It's not even close! I desire the Body of Christ to rise up and want to be just like the original apostles. I desire to give you all My power, My authority, My dominion, and My love like never before! I have to have Kingdom Kids who actually desire Me, and who want to serve their King with everything in them! That's what I want!
I know that there are so many who think that My grace will cover everything that they are doing right now. Here is where you have been misled. My grace is for you for when you mess up and need to be covered by My Son's blood; however, when My kids think that they can live in sin constantly and all the time, and think that My grace is going to cover that...Uh...NO! That is NOT what My grace is for at all! At that point, you would be no better than a person in the world! I love you, but I am NOT okay with that! I AM holy! I require My kids to be holy too. You can't live in sin and be holy. It doesn't work that way. Sorry.
I need you to choose today whom you will serve. I need you to pick a side. If you want Me, then choose Me and live your life like you actually do want Me. If you would rather want what the world has to offer you instead, then you've chosen your side, and that is the Enemy's domain. I want you to be My kid, but I have rules. I have requirements in order to be Mine. I have a reputation on My name, and when you live your life in sin and claim to be Mine, you are giving Me a bad name and making Me look bad. I can't have that! Choose a side! Choose a side today! I'm done being made to look bad because of "Believers" who claim to want Me, but really don't want Me. They just want what I can give them. I don't work that way either. Pick a side.
Some of you may be wondering what the difference is between being a Christian and being a Kingdom Ambassador for Me. That will be discussed at a later time. Not today. Just know that there is a difference. The rewards, the blessings, the anointing, the favor are all different.
Please know that I love you. I do. I just want you to want ME, and not just about Me. Talk to Me. Tell Me that you want Me. Let's talk. I'd love to hear from you.
Looking forward to hearing from My kids,
Abba

Breaking Strongholds | Chains | Bondage

We tend to dismiss the power and understanding of Strongholds. Before we get started lets first define what a Stronghold is,
One version of the definition reads, a place dominated by a particular group or marked by a particular characteristic.
Read that once more to absorb the meaning. Have you ever been trying to stop a sinful act from taking place and somehow, someway you ended up committing that sin? Repenting and attempting to cleanse self and then you ponder, I knew better. So, then you try to move better but then a few days later that same sinful activity is back on your mind and you feel the desires and pressures to "YOLO" and commit it again? Resisting the urge and the seduction of. These are strongholds. Demonic strongholds at that. These are the connections that needs to be rebuked and addressed because they will not go way by just ignoring them alone. They will come back stronger and stronger. As we draw nearer to God, the enemy [the devil] is taking note and then his minions come running after you. Tempting you with every desire of lust to bait you. You may feel that you had kicked the habit but someway somehow its back on your mind and you say "Well I haven't done it in a while , what is one more time" That one more time can cost you a lot. These strongholds of the demonic variety exist and should not be taken lightly.
Anyone or anything pulling you away from God should be addressed, rebuked and monitored.
Ephesian 6:12 reads
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Who? What? When? Where? Is calling you back to the areas of bondage that your attempting to free yourselves from? Why wouldn't it let you go after you declared that you never wanted to partake? The enemy doesn’t care about your progression and your spiritual connection with the one and true God. He wants you in a constant state of confusion , defiling your temple and in darkness.
Whether you like it or not , believe it or don’t and can see it or not! Evil presences exist and are here attacking us daily. By Gods grace, his angels and guidance we find refuge. Its about time you give yourself more credit. Am I worthy of God's Love and Protection? Why would he protect me I am a sinner? The question I have for you is Why Not YOU!?
If you meant nothing, then the enemy wouldn’t be waging a War for your soul, tempting you. Hoping that you fall that one time to reintroduce you to that life. Its time to break those chains and demonic strongholds on your life. No better time then now.
I have been in a dark place and wrestling with my self-worth as to why God would choose a vessel like me to carry out his message. Feeling to far gone down the rabbit hole to be used. He silenced the noise and the doubt and said to me "Why not you? I had my hand on your whole entire life, I will never leave or forsake you" We are born into this sinful life and our flesh desires sinful activity but that does not mean we are slave to it. We can become slaves to the flesh but that takes a partnership and a willful submission from self to completely indulge. We need to take that power back and replace it with God. Turn from your sinful ways and submit to God.
Remember the feeling you felt when you completed any known sinful behavior that you are trying to change. How low you feel? vowing to never do it again. Not following your own convictions. It didn't even satisfy your urge or craving but you thought it would. The thought was better than actually performing the act. The enemy loves to trick and deceive its victims. What a coward! When you have a clear visual that the enemy is not operating for your good then I don’t want anything that comes with it.
Roman 13:14 reads
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
Is it going to be easy? No! it is going to be difficult but it will be worth it!
Exodus 14:14 my favorite scripture reads "Be still and I will fight for you"
In these moments of high lust and I am feeling the present attack of the enemy. I am very still and I pray to God for that deliverance because these emotions and desires did not come from God. Once ignored the feeling of overcoming sin is Glorious and then the battle continues.
What strongholds are you currently battling ? Do you ever find yourself succumbing to the pressure?
When are you making that change and ending the cycle of feeding this habit. The more you continue to feed it, it will grow and then soon consume you. Resist the urge.
During my revelation and talk with God, I realized I had a Sacred Encounter
Lets bring in this New Year with God as our Foundation.

This Place is Not a Home
The pain meant he was repenting, and he needed to repent. If Lady Clara wouldn’t listen to his prayers for forgiveness, he would earn it another way.

Ch 5: I Only Want to Help
The next few weeks at Puffy’s were strange, but pleasant.
Puffy didn’t give him a chance to delve into his thoughts, something Tommy was thankful for. At first, Puffy assigned Tommy simple housework, too cautious to push him beyond his limits with his wings still healing. She asked him to broom, to dust, to do the laundry, to do the dishes, meanwhile, she was doing all the heavy lifting that Tommy should have been doing.
He was there to help, after all, and how could he help if he was constantly pushed away? It frustrated Tommy, to be babied and treated like glass. He wasn’t delicate, he wouldn’t break under the strain of a little weight.
Puffy would always argue otherwise, that she wasn’t babying him, but taking into consideration his back and wing muscles. “Have you even seen the state of your wings?” she would stress. Unknown to her, he hadn’t. Ever since his fall, he never properly looked at them.
He knew the state of his feathers when he first arrived. Half were gone, others frayed and damaged. What once was pure white and gold–bright enough to blind a human, was now a gentle gray, proof of his corruption. Whenever he moved, pain would spread throughout his back to the end tips of his feathers, some days it was manageable like a constant itch. Then there were the days where it felt like all the air in his lungs was punched out as his nerves burned.
He knew they were bad, but he never bothered to look at how drastic the state was.
He couldn’t.
He could never bring himself to.
He found himself scared, scared at what he would see, scared at what would come after. Not that his feelings mattered, because at the end of the day, his wings were meant to be a punishment. Whatever state they were in, it didn’t matter as long as it hurt, because if it hurt, that meant he was doing what Lady Clara asked of him.
The pain meant he was repenting, and he needed to repent. If Clara wouldn’t listen to his prayers for forgiveness, he would earn it another way.
But that was hard to do when Puffy would never listen to him.
At first, the arguments started small. Just little comments here and there, Tommy throwing an attitude whenever he saw Puffy, he even took to the silent treatment in a desperate hope that maybe she would finally see him, and listen to what he needs.
It never worked, and she would just send him off on another meager task. A month passed with no improvement, and soon, Tommy made the impulsive decision to act on his own.
It was after breakfast, and Puffy went out to feed the animals as Tommy was tasked to clean the living room. His back was itching, but it was nothing new, so Tommy ignored it.
Instead of doing as asked, Tommy stayed out on the porch, watching Puffy in the distance.
She was feeding the chickens first, seeing they were the easiest to handle as she spread the feeding over the grass. The hens were distracted, and Tommy watched as she gathered her basket as she headed into the coop, in the hope of more fresh eggs to sell that upcoming Sunday.
It was the monthly farmers market, one that Puffy had been preparing all week for; collecting homegrown fruits and vegetables and eggs, even preparing wool to sell. Puffy’s farm was small but well-known in the area, and this market provides Puffy some easy extra money.
Tommy knew how important it was to her, and had only wanted to help.
That’s all he ever wanted to do, was be of service like he was asked to do, both by his designation as an angel and by his deal with Puffy.
He ran to the shed that faced away from the coop, eyes flickering with no focus as the itch spread to something more painful, quickly overwhelmed on trying to decide what to grab in his haste to help.
He didn't know what to feed the cows and sheep, didn’t know what the different mixes were meant to be, or their measurements. Eyeing the shovel and wheelbarrow on the side of the wall, Tommy grinned at his solution. He may not know what the animals ate, but he knew for a fact the stalls had to be clean.
He grabbed the shovel, and threw it in the wheelbarrow without care, breath stuttering in anticipation. He grabbed the wheelbarrow, already planning the route to the barn that would go unnoticed. But the moment he tried to lift the cart, his wings and back were engulfed in pain, vision flashing as his body crumbled.
When he came to, it was to the muddled sight of Puffy’s face as the world blurred around him. There was tension in the lines of her mouth, and Tommy wanted to wipe the furrow away from her eyes. But everything was spinning and he felt nauseous, and the pain spiked when he attempted to move his wings.
He wanted to reassure her that he was fine, to put him down. But his limbs refused to move and his mouth struggled to cooperate and soon he found himself in darkness again, too weak to fight against fluttering eyelids.
When he finally opened his eyes again, certain he would be in Limbo, he found himself in Puffy’s living room. It gave him whiplash how much it resumed his first meeting with the human, all those days ago. He struggled to sit up, an ache to his limbs that felt alien and unfamiliar. He felt the blanket that was wrapped around him drop to his lap, and he turned his head to Puffy’s form.
She wasn’t looking at him but to the book in her lap. She wasn’t moving, and Tommy thought she perhaps fell asleep. He tried getting up, to do what he wasn’t sure, but he needed to get up. He didn’t want to be more of a burden, and needed to get up–to do something, anything. He tried getting up, only to freeze as his body strongly protested this idea, sharp breath hissing out from his lips. He tensed further at the sound of a book snapping close, slowly looking up into Puffy’s stare.
She looked mad, tense where she was sitting. Without meaning to, Tommy found himself flinching back, wings folding further up to hide him. Humans were fickle creatures, constantly changing and adapting their behaviors and attitudes. It used to fascinate him, their adaptability, but now only frightened him. Just because Puffy had never hurt him before didn't mean this would never change.
He was curled against the couch, fingers tightly holding the blanket. He watched as Puffy took a slow breath, eyes closing before opening up again to meet his own. She looked calmer, but Tommy didn’t fool himself into believing the anger wasn’t still there.
“Tommy,” she practically hissed despite her attempts to cool down earlier, “what did—what were you thinking?” She pushed the book away from her lap and leaned forward in an attempt to make eye contact with him. He refused to look her way. “Tommy, do you understand how much that scared me? I told you—I told you to rest, and you!”—Tommy wilted at her anger. He didn’t understand what he did wrong. He was just trying to be useful—” Why do you want to hurt yourself so much?”
Tommy didn’t understand what she meant by that. Tommy, Tommy didn’t want this. To be banished from the only home he knew, to have mangled wings that weren’t healing, to be such a fuck up that even Lady Clara is abandoning him. Tommy doesn’t want to be in constant pain or to be so lonely that silence feels like nails against his skin. He didn’t…he just wanted to prove himself worthy of saving.
Tommy picked at the skin around his nails, the sight of liquid gold filling him with relief at that divine proof that he hasn’t screwed up yet, that something within him still proves to pureness despite his selfish wants. The gold was proof he can still rectify his mistakes, to Lady Clara, to Puffy.
He can still fix things.
“I just,” he mumbled as Puffy’s rant ended, eyes still only on his hands, at the blood that stains them. “I only wanted to help you.” He rushed to continue as Puffy opened her mouth again, “The deal was that I helped you, and these tasks you keep–keep giving me, they aren’t allowing me to fulfill my part of the deal. How can I help if you don’t let me?” he pleaded at the end.
Tommy heard Puffy shift, but didn't look up to see what she was doing. “Tommy,” she sounded a lot closer, and he saw her hands reach out to his, curling both his hands into hers. He ignored how heartbroken she sounded. “Tommy, can you look at me?” He didn’t respond, couldn’t bear to.
He felt her hand nudge his chin, and his eyes startled open at the gentle touch. He didn’t know when he closed them. “Tommy, you don’t need to be useful or fix things for you to stay here. My top priority is your wings. They were healing so well!” But you ruined it was left unsaid, but Tommy heard it either way. Puffy didn't need to say it, he could see it in her eyes. He ruined everything.
“But, but the deal was I can stay as long as I help out on the farm! I haven’t even, I haven’t even done anything. I just, all I do is broom the floor or clean dishes. How is that beneficial for you?”
Puffy only sighed in response. “That is helpful,” her voice was firm, and Tommy knew any arguments couldn’t persuade her. “Keeping up with the farm, it’s a lot. When you weren’t here, I found some days when I was too exhausted to broom or dust the furniture. There was always a thin balance between making sure my animals were healthy and happy, and my own well-being. With you here,” she nudges him with her elbow, eyes indescribable, and if Tommy dared to hope, he would call them fond, “things are easier to manage.”
Tommy frowned at the explanation. He wasn’t content with the explanation, but if Puffy said it was acceptable, then. Then maybe Tommy shouldn't push it. “Ok,” he said, “ ok, but I’m still not happy about it.”
“Ok,” Puffy had the nerve to laugh. “How about a compromise?”
Tommy hummed in response, happy for the chance to still prove his worth.
“I will allow you to do more tasks with the animals, but only under my instructions and supervision. Your wings are still healing, and we can’t have you fucking up anything else because you’re trying to lift something heavy,” Tommy ignored the pointed look she sent him, just happy he would be able to do more.
“That works with me.”

ISLAM 101: Spirituality in Islam: Part 175
Wujud (Finding and Existence): Part1
Wujud (finding and existence) is not what is meant in Qur’anic statements like the following: They assuredly find that God is One Who truly returns the repentance of His servants with acceptance and extra reward, and All-Compassionate (especially toward His believing servants) (4:64); He will find God All-Forgiving, All Compassionate (especially towards His servants who seek forgiveness for their evils and sins) (4:110); and In the end he will find God and meet with Him, and He will pay him his account in full (24:39). Abu’l Hasan al-Nuri expresses the state of those who have reached this point vividly: “I have been going to and fro between finding and losing for twenty years.
There is another consideration based on the concentration of the Divine Existence only. This consideration, which has been called the Unity of Being, is sometimes reduced to a mere philosophical view, although it arises from a spiritually experienced state. It will be useful to give some information about it here.
