But I ultimately might would go for the house #JUST becuase it would be my Dream House which means it would already meet mostly all of my specifications #and what I might be looking for. which would save a lot of time searching or customizing/rennovating.#Also because I could use that as a way to leave the US lol.. like .. if I get to choose my dream location.. couldnt I just choose some othe #country?? But I wonder how that works. Can you legally 100% have full ownership of a property in a country yet not be a citizen of that #country?? Would you show up and be like 'erm.. i own this house.. so i shall now live in it' and theyd be like 'uh no. you cant live here #despite owning the house. leave.' ??#So I think the initial process of 1. scraping together funds to actually MOVE myself and my most valuable belongings physically #TO another country. and 2. figuring out how to STAY in that country . might end up being difficult.. BUT. if I could just work that #part of things out then.. dream house?? security for once in my life?? stability?? :0 #Though the $1mil is enticing it's also like.. I feel .. with the way housing prices are now... that's not much???#it's a lot I guess if you plan on like.. investing half the money and staying in an apartment for 5 years while you grow your wealth #or something. but if you're a 'I Need Stability NOW' ready to settle down person who would be most interested in owning a property rather #than nice clothes or a car or whatever other investments you could make then.. eh..?? It seems like unless you're okay with living in #a small town or kind of far away from the city - even some SMALL houses in majorly populated areas in the US will be like #$600.000 - $900.000 or something. like that would be MOST of my money. Which I know you could just pay partially and make #payments on it but idk.. in the option of just outright owning the house it seems like it'd end up being cheaper.#Plus I would want to own it fully asap because I'd be afraid of losing it somehow otherwise. like it being taken for medical bills or #something. which I thought was supposed to be - not IMPOSSIBLE - slightly more complicated legally if you actually have #paid off the house in full. I guess the issue then would be utilities and property tax and such. But I feel like thats overcome-able??#Like I could just stipulate that my Dream House has a little furnished addition or something and then find someone #with money and be like 'Look you can live in this extremely nice area with amazing ameneties and updated everything and ALL you have #to do is give me money to cover the utilities and property tax.'' or something like that. Like the little furnished addition is nicer #than the actual house. they have their own pool and spa and movie room or something and Ill also cook all their meals for them #or whatever (how luxurious it would be depeneds on how high the property tax actually is/how much I would need to entice them into #why it's a good deal for them to pay it for me lol). idk... something like that.. ANYWAY #I asked a few people I know though and one of them answered they'd rather have a romantic partner. the other one said they'd like #to be able to choose someone to die lol.. So I'm curious what people value the most

I just finished season one of game of thrones last night (yes I am very late to watching this show. Pls don't spoil it) and I have a few choice words about everything that happened. I want to scream, cry, and throw something against the wall. I hate Joffrey, I DESPISE Jaime and Circe Lannister, I wished Sansa pushed that little shit head off the bridge. There's more I have to say but I don't even know where to begin.

#arcane #arcaneedit #gifmaking #reminder that if ur not a fan of the coloring and sharpening then i dont need to hear ur opinion so fuck off and make your own gifs :)#sooo yeah!!! just sharing this very old coloring comparison i use from time to time to make sure i follow a certain peg for my gifs #but i dont really follow it to the T of course #and now i will use the tags to rant/comment about my coloring process lmao #ok so.... arcane s2 is SOOOOO much brighter than s1 i am so so so thankful we have such bright scenes instead of all the dark ones in s1 #because it makes my life so much easier #that being said my coloring isnt really perfect i still cant handle more complex tones like the mel gif......#i used to have a more stylized coloring wayyy back in s1 (esp when u look at my old gifs) but i kinda realized i had to change it #so i scrapped all my old psds and now coloredit EVERYTHING MANUALLY #hence why sometimes i gif the same scene but theyre colored different since i never use a preset PSD now #however it became way more tedious to make gifs... so yeah.... lmao #but in the end i like it more!!! i like that my new coloring just basically matches the show more but is just brighter and more saturated #unless ofc i dont like the tones of the original show i.e. the vi gif you see there where its super green gray???? idk i dont like it so #i recolored the entire thing #anyways thats really it coloring will always be something i continue to try to improve on but recently ive just been v busy so i just #speed color and edit everything and dont rlly take all adjustments into account so no more complex tones and #i just stick to basic things #oh right sharpening! so for sharpening i use a very basic setting: just 500 px and 0.4 radius which is what i use for almost everything #i also dont add noise bc the landscape photographer in me does NOT like it LMFAOOOOOOOOOO #but yeah thats really it for sharpening oh i also use 4k sources as much as possible bc it gives the best quality and if #i cant find any source i just upscale everything by myself then crop stuff again back to 540 px and imo it really just does look better #personal tag

Jean not understanding why Renee saved him until he’s leaving the house in just his helmet and gloves and breaking every speed limit on his way to do exactly the same thing for Jeremy

#make it worse by saying that Jeremy regrets calling Jean and Jean has to physically drag him from his house as he screams for his mum #because ‘wait I don’t wanna let go just yet’ and ‘I can still make this right just give me a chance please’ and ‘I’m sorry mom please I—’#and Jean has his arms around Jeremy’s torso as he drags Jeremy crying from that cold cage he calls his home #plants him on the back of his bike and carefully placed the helmet over his head #Bryson comes running out when he realises what’s happening and Jean jumps on in a flash—grabs Jeremy’s arms and pulls them around himself #and then they’re off. Jeremy is rescued. but like Jean’s experience- the aftermath isn’t pretty #Jeremy cries all the way home. Shuts himself away at the apartment. A thought: Stan wasn't a booksmart kid, but he was great at reasoning. Meaning, he wouldn't understand the usual explanations or memorize definitions, because they're just a bunch of words put together. However, some things just seemed to click for whatever reason or they would just make sense all of a sudden when he gave them some thought on his own.

This is: Stan at an art history class.

“Stanley?” “Yeah?”

“Do you think you can tell me the answer?”

“I…” I don't think I could even if I knew what you're talking about. “I didn't get the question, sorry.”

“I asked, anyone knows why art movements occur? Why does art change?”

“I mean…” Don't embarrass yourself any further. They're already laughing. “No, nothing.”

“Come on, say it.”

“No, it's stupid. I don't know.”

“Stanley, I've heard a lot of different things over the years. I doubt anything you say will be stupid.”

“Well, I'm a box of surprises, what can I say.” That's it, make them laugh at your jokes, not at you.

“I insist. Go ahead, please.”

“Fine. I mean, the way I see it, it's pretty simple, isn't it? Their parents and grandparents do things a certain way, and doing the same is just more of the same boring stuff. After a while it becomes like... imposing? And art isn't meant to be imposed, 'cause there's the fun in that? So they create something new, something that will make them stand out and as different as possible from what they know. A new style of art, or writing, or… I don't know, architecture? Whatever it is to make them free.”

“…”

“Or, I don't know, maybe they are just petty. I don't know.”

“No, Stanley, you're right. That's a perfect way of explaining it.”

“… it is?”

“Yes. Art evolves because it's creation, and creation is a living thing. Just like you kids don't dress like your parents did because you find it outdated and not personal enough, right? Art evolves because people do.”

“Right.”

“That was a brilliant explanation Stanley, congratulations.”

“T-thank you.”

Stan is wide-eyed as the teacher continues explaining something. He's awoken by his brother's elbow on his side. When he turns, Ford's eyes are shining.

“Stanley, that was amazing! You nailed it!”

“I… did?”

“Yes! She said you did great! No one was laughing, they were so impressed. And so am I, that was incredible!”

“Silence over there.”

“Sorry, miss.”

Stan feels so happy that when he goes home and Stanford tells their parents about him leaving the whole class speechless with his answer, he can't stop smiling. Not even when his father mutters something about it being a stupid art class and not something actually important. He doesn't care. His brother is impressed! What the hell!

#this is such a small thing but i genuinely think this is how stan operates #he doesn't have the ability to memorize things by heart #but the moment everything clicks he can improvise all kinds of explanations because now he understands #but he NEEDS to understand it otherwise he is absolutely lost #ford on the other hand he understands almost everything the first time he hears an explanation #because he can memorize every word and process them at high speed #but he can only explain things the same way he learns them because he never needed to give them a second thought #which then manifests into his habit of explaining things in very technical terms even of the other person doesn't understand #ford memorizes: stan rationalizes #i hope i made myself clear lol this turned into a big paragraph #gravity falls #stan twins #stanley pines #stanford pines #my silly little headcanons #hells originals
