can you talk more about how gi hun and jun ho are seen as the villians/horrible people for the few bad decisions they’ve made? id like you hear what you have to say

omg yes i can! i have so many thoughts 😭

i think it comes from the idea that if you are a good person, you have no space to be anything other than that. we have this idea that being good is easy but ultimately unfulfilling or fruitless. there are no advantages to being good... but we still expect people who are good to only be good. they can't deviate from the norm, they can't be selfish or proud or arrogant, they can't break the status quo.

and this happens all the time with characters. if you are 99% good and 1% bad, then you are bad and irredemable. but if you are 99% and 1% good, then you can have all of the opportunities in the world.

for gihun and junho, i think this happens because people are used to characters turning bad. there a million stories about the hero's downfall, about how he became corrupted by power and heartless due to betrayal and ultimately fell.

gihun and junho show time and time again that they will not fall. and i think that annoys people because if they were in these men's place, they would have fallen already. they would have become the bad guy, so to speak.

people will criticize everything junho and gihun do - gihun didn't personally go outside to help the homeless man during his conversation with ilnam, despite the fact that gihun definitely deserved to have answers to his questions. junho didn't immediately distrust captain park, despite the fact that for all he knows this man was literally just fishing in his boat and happened to catch him adrift at sea. gihun didn't try to stop the fight between thanos and namgyu and myunggi, despite the fact that he also didn't stop the fight between deoksu and that player in s1 and the fact that no one else tried to stop them either aside from inho. junho should have told gihun that inho was the front man, despite the fact that junho had no idea gihun was going to join the games or that inho was going to go undercover.

in a way, it's victim blaming. people are asking "why did gihun not see that inho was manipulating him?" instead of wondering "why did inho feel the need to manipulate gihun to this extent?"

gihun and junho are good, trusting, capable men with a high capacity for forgiveness and compassion. they make mistakes but they are human. and their mistakes are never done out of maliciousness.

but they are held to an insane standard in this fandom that other "bad" characters are not. i think some people believe evilness to be the norm and goodness to be an outlier. it's easy to be a bad person because everyone else is a bad person. it's a pessimistic way of thinking and the reason why we should celebrate characters like junho and gihun.

i personally hope neither of them forgive inho in s3. i have a feeling junho will because inho is his brother, but i hope gihun doesn't. i think it'd be a good way to illustrate how far gone inho is if gihun, a man who can forgive basically anyone, doesn't think he is worthy of said forgiveness.

i can imagine in this scenario, junho keeps thinking like "wow captain park is such a nice guy" bc the captain keeps going out of his way to do nice stuff for him, but what he doesn't realise is that the captain kinda doesn't give a fuck and it's inho who's constantly checking in asking if junho is warm enough on the boat and if he's had enough to eat today, etc etc :'-)

"awww, it's hello kitty!" you smiled– a little too widely for sangha's liking, before you flipped to the next photos. he watched silently as you complimented doeui, junho, and jiwon, patiently waiting for you to flip to his photo and compliment him as well. you eventually did, clicking over to the concept photo with the lollipop.

but, to sangha's disappointment, you only gave a small approving hum before moving onto jiwon's photo. another exaggerated reaction sounded from your mouth, compliments flowing out about the styling, the hair, the pose, even the abs.

all sangha could do was frown.

you had been curious whether purposefully noticing the other members instead of him would get your silent, reserved boyfriend to finally speak up. but you seemed to have underestimated how conflict-averse he was. he wasn't even willing to comment on it, though his eyes didn't leave your face once. it was as if he was silently willing you to stop with his big pout and sad eyes.

"are you okay, baby?" you asked softly, wondering if a little push was all he needed to voice his feelings. but he only shook his head and averted his gaze, his frown deepening even more. you tried to hold back and continue with your teasing, but it was impossible to resist how cute he was being now. you cupped his face and turned it towards you, cooing softly at his pouty expression.

he seemed a little happier by that answer, even letting his gaze drift from the floor back to your face. you took the opportunity to give him a kiss, ensuring that he would forget all about the little stunt. everything was always better when you were kissing sangha, and he loved it just as much as you did; always finding opportunities throughout the day to give you little pecks.

"all better?" you asked, giving one last peck to his lips. he just dropped his head onto your shoulder, mumbling to never do that to him again. you giggled, hugging him close to your chest, and promising you wouldn't.

the jump rope game is based off a train track/station. i find this interesting, considering trains are used for transportation and movement of people + cargo, but also frequently used in media as suicide/death methods. people being tied to train tracks and stuff. that's kinda a weird comparison but that's what i thought of. also. the subway train is where the recruiter found most of the players.

I've always thought he did something really stupid (not the MySpace thing) because even after the MySpace thing he hadn't left the group and jyp even went on a show to talk about how he went to america himself to make sure he was practicing his dancing and singing and also said that he was fundamentally a good person then a few months later he was kicked out because of a serious personal issue in his private life or smth.

iirc the official story is that he took a hiatus from the group, and then after much discussion w jyp he left the group bc he was unhappy as a kpop artist? which i think is probably true i mean the dude was obviously miserable and as messy as he is nowadays i do think he's happy.

god the rumors abt 2pm bullying him are so funnyyyyy i need to hunt down the article where i read them and read it again lol but i do remember whenever me and my roommate watched that wild bunny episode (after binging soooooo many 2pm fan compilation videos) we were SO shocked by how different and terrible their vibes were aksjdsdkljfflgglhjkl

it really made me realize how much group dynamics are like tetris tbh. like removing that one person made the whole rest of the dynamic fall into place?

like obviously, there is no way to know what their ~real~ personalities were like at the time, because they had just debuted so they all had a persona that they were pushing + a character for that show. but he certainly came across as incredibly immature and irresponsible, and it was frankly rlly uncomfortable to watch......like idk but i think jun.k and nichkhun were genuinely pissed off at him for stealing nichkhun's wallet and ditching them at the karaoke room, going to a club with taec and chansung (who had JUST turned 20), and then not answering the phone. he rlly came across as an older friend who could get you into trouble, but can't get you out.

i also remember the others came across (especially taec) as being "followers", who would just go along with his shenanigans because it was funny or interesting. ofc they were all really young then, and like i said before, this show obvs had set "characters" for them to play, so who knows how accurate my opinion was! but i definitely left that episode feeling very grateful that he left the group, or else he would've gotten them into some real serious trouble.

i think one of the most important aspects of a group's dynamic is their ability to keep each other in check. i think it's important for members to be able to be honest and call each other on their bullshit if they're getting to cocky or arrogant or otherwise becoming an asshole. after all, a kpop group is a brand that you are building together - one person's integrity becomes synonymous with the group's integrity as a whole. that's why scandals are kinda serious business: groups are pushing an image of closeness, ranging from "besties" to "found family". if one member is exposed to be an asshole (or just downright evil, i.e. burning sun) it immediately casts doubt on the other members character and integrity.

i also think that the leader of a group is really influential on the vibe of the group as a whole, and we've seen what a mess jay park is. i think if he had stayed with the group, they would've had a lot more scandals, and had a very negative image as a scandal-ridden group. to be clear, 2pm members HAVE had scandals (incl pretty serious one's, like a couple DUIs), but they've managed to shake them off to have a pretty clean image.

2pm's dynamic as 6 just.....works? like they're fun to watch and it seems like they all genuinely like each other and like working together. i've never really gotten an ~off~ vibe from them, or that they secretly hate each other. especially after seeing them w jay. it just felt wrong and off and uncomfortable. also yeah, i think the whole ordeal of losing a member would naturally create a trauma bond amongst everyone else lol

ik that fans voted jay park the leader bc he got first on their pre-debut show but i have always felt like jun.k should've been the leader the whole time....like again it's hard to know bc wild bunny was obviously very contrived, but he certainly came across as much more responsible and level-headed than jay. i think him and nichkhun are a very solid "hyung/leader" line tbh like ik they've each had a DUI but in general they come across (to me) as very stable guys who take their job and their image very seriously, which is important.

and tbh i'm always a little skeptical when groups w/ a member who's on a scandal hiatus say stuff like "let's walk together" or "2pm is one" or do things like leave their space empty.....like i mentioned before kpop groups are pushing an image of "best friends" or a "family" and when the person hasn't left the group, the idols are still having to deal with and interact with that member's fans. when things are unclear or it seems like hiatus is only temporary, it would be soooo bad for their image to be like "fuck that guy", you know? fans would lose their SHIT and it'd only embroil the group in more drama tbh......but i do agree that if the company's going to cut ties, it's better to do it immediately rather than get fans hopes up.

BUT. BUT. BUT. my point is. the whole survivorship bias thing was abt focusing on things that shouldn't be the focus. there's a famous example that illustrates this: imagine sending a bunch of planes to war. some of them come back with gunshot holes on some areas, while others don't come back at all. seeing the damaged areas, they decide to reinforce THOSE. but if you stop and think about it, the OTHER planes who didn't make it back were hit on more fragile places that should be reinforced instead, but they can't see where bc they didn't make it back. so: you should focus on the the ones who didn't make it instead of the ones who did. (look it up it'll make more sense than whatever I say)

now what does that tell us? we should be focusing on Yun, hyesong and junho? maybe even juntaek since he was almost killed as well? or can we stretch and abstract this concept a bit more?

if we do focus on the victims (and almost victim) what do we get? what do they all have in common that have got them killed? so far seem to be the fact that they were all suspicious one way or another of what was going on in there. Yun kept talking about the whispers, hyesong noticed something was wrong with the water order (and realized seongbin was imitating others), junho realized the whole ponnamephrin situation and could tell those deaths were not normal. juntaek was suspicious as well and was trying to find a way for nobody else to get killed.

ok. they all were seemingly killed for noticing something strange going on. this much is a given. but what about the circumstances in which they were killed? what the crime scene says?

the police established a height for the killer, but given all the rubble that could be faked fairly easily, specially since the killer had light at their disposal. they also seemed to be either a leftie or ambidextrous but idk there might be a way around this as well. there are many people out there who genetically, have a dominant hand but were raised to use the other, so in certain situations where one would typically to use the dominant hand, they'd use their 'true' hand.

I feel like this connects to jeongdo's tunnel vision as well, like I'm sorry I'm so bad at putting my thoughts into words, but what I mean is I think this kinda ties with the police pretty much excluding the girls from the suspect list (juntaek also). they're focusing on certain things and choosing to ignore others.

now, if we instead take the 'survivorship bias' concept into a more abstract analysis, we could analyze how among the suspects there are people being excluded from the investigation. regarding the girls, we have yujeong's hallucination right at the start of the story. he sees a long haired figure that threatens him into 'not telling anyone'. the figure's hair is dark but that could be more abstract since they were in the dark so probably the shapes matter more than the color - seeing a long haired shadow person and them being blonde instead of brunette makes more sense than it having a bob cut - I've seen people theorize that maybe that hallucination is of his younger sister but that sounds unlikely... also btw when are we getting more info on that???

now regarding juntaek, a couple chapters ago he says he remembers everything from before he got knocked out. and I found that really interesting because here's the thing: does he? we have this guy's memories be really important now, crucial even, but we also have someone else whose memories are just as valuable: Hanna's. she was awarded for her good memory and I think they definitely need to cross and compare his statements to hers. I don't believe the author would just mention this incredibly valuable information to only use it for those water testimonies. now we have someone who could lie on one side (Hanna), and on the other we have someone who could both lie or be confused bc of brain injury (juntaek) so that'll be interesting to see. why would they lie though? now that is the question lmao

and taeyeon has this thing where she was basically excluded from the suspect list by both the police AND junho. and idk that does sound suspicious to me. she's laying low even though she lied to the police and kept just bringing new evidence and statements whenever she wanted. but instead of keeping an eye on her they simply ignore everything else in favor of what the circumstantial evidence points to: seongbin.

there are many theories to explain seongbin's involvement (or lack thereof), some being him as an unwilling accomplice, threatened by the true killer, others with him being used and manipulated by someone who took advantage of his mental state, others about him being framed, not necessarily participating in the murders (consciously or not)

this latest chapter (62) ends with seongbin asking jeongdo if he's sure it was him. he said "I said, are you sure? because I don't think I would" <- seems like he doesn't remember doing anything. and while yes of course the presence of a mimic during the murders has been confirmed, we can't confirm it was seongbin because we can't confirm he was the only person capable of doing that. they're actors after all. one could denifitely be able to mimic voices without it being caused by a seizure.

how crazy is this, to receive so much information but not have anything to do with it, to not be able to draw any solid conclusion from it, because it's all so circumstantial. there's so much we know, but also so much to be uncovered.

I often don't have a point or conclusion to these posts. most of the time they make no sense, and this one is no different. it's mostly for myself to vent and try to organize my thoughts about what's going on in this story

ikon’s best performance is just go from the jpn dvd 2016 dome tour for NUMEROUS reasons we can start w the easy one jinhwan’s a whore he’s a straight up whore like hello homosexual okay now that we’re past that

I would love to hear your opinion on the iKon members’ dynamics with one another (like Hanbin + Junhoe, Bobby + Jinhwan, etc.)—I know that’s a lot of pairings but I think you have the best takes.

i can't really stop once i start but i'll try to be short and do some of them

jinhwan + hanbin + yunhyeong: the base of ikon, literally!! the 3 of them are the ones who lead, offer support and take care of the nembers (mentally/emotionally/physically) but don't really expect anything back, and it explains why thing are rough now since they lost one of ikon's pillars

bobdong: actual siblings, bobby rarely shows "hyung" energy but with donghyuk he does since he is more sensitive/emotional than him; also their energy levels match and they play together a looot (aka they bicker all the time), and i feel like donghyuk relies on bobby as an older figure, while bobby relies on donghyuk to feel like he has someone to give him attention (i talked about them in my cc once but bobby needs care and attention all the time)

yunjun: claim they hate each other and are opposites but in the end junhoe is yunhyeong's little baby, yunhyeong loooves to make people around him happy and esp in their recent videos i've been noticing them getting a lot closer (it seems like junhoe is changing a little bit too! more caring and more open), nd to me i feel like junhoe looks up to yunhyeong both professionally and as a person overall, but he doesn't admit

junchan: they used to be weird with each other (to me it was bc junhoe was the maknae before, and bc their personalities seems waaaay different, junhoe is v emotional deep poetic pessimist baby meanwhile chanwoo is league of legends quiet spoiled brat), but recently ive noticed chanwoo 'giving in'/trying? in a way? and i think it has to do with noticing that the members needs support (i noticed this from july to now btw, chanwoo is very observative and he catches up quickly and even tho he is not someone very expressive towards his feelings i think he is trying hard to give ikon extra love)

junbin: BESTIES i think their personalities are similar (as in feeling more than talking), they both use words to express themselves and were often misunderstood, i think hanbin admired junhoe's carefree and bold personality while junhoe admired hanbin as an older figure (even tho he doesn't treat anyone as a hyung lol) and his strong-minded personality, and >to me< junhoe is the most loyal one in ikon so after hanbin was kicked out junhoe changed a lot (but i feel like he's slowly coming back)

hell, we could even see her agree to foster nayeon for a while. she might have "failed" her dad but she wasn't going to fail that little girl. she could even take her to china and she's have two daughters to love and cherish for the rest of her life.

and abt the rest of the plot.... yeah i got no idea 😭😭😭 a few more days of reflecting and reading everyone's thought hasn't helped me try to make sense of it. like you say, the entire season was a mess so the ending being weird as hell was on brand lmaoo

Hanbin: his great leadership. As we know he got this switch from having fun and joke around to the professional “charismatic” producer 😂 Bobby: how down to earth he is. At first glance you might think he’s very full of himself or whatever, but he’s actually a sweetheart ☺️ Jinhwan: how caring he is towards the other members. Idk what else to sayYunhyeong: his sense of humor. He got such “bad” jokes but they are so funny. Also would like to point out during wintertime when they were on the bus and playing some game and he just started laughing like he was having the best time of his life by himself 😂(because i do the same) Junhoe: his insane talent. His voice is golden and must be protected at all costs. Donghyuk: my sweetest sunshine 💕 his heart of gold and his love for ikonics, he always goes the longest to make sure we are happy and smiling and that makes my heart melt Chanwoo: savage satanwoo. Do i really need to say anything more about this? Cuz we all know what i’m talking about. I’m also expecting him to take over everything at some point in the future, you have been warned, just saying 👀

I just want to warn those who are reading this. If you're an OT6 fan, pls feel free to unfollow me and pls do not interact w/ anything related to this thread i.e. don't reply and don't quote RT. We don't need that negativity.

The world is already cruel enough for all of us. Spare us the dramatics. I am tired of defending #Chanwoo from all of you. Though I'm tired of it, pls know that I won't stop doing it. So please allow me to spread love to others without your negativity tainting it. Here we go.

When M&M happened, I had no doubt in my mind that Chanwoo will be iKON's 7th member. I was as sure of it as I was that all OT6 will be in iKON. There was something abt him that captivated me. He wasn't the most talented or the most eye-catching. He wasn't even the most talkative.

~

However, Jung Chanwoo was the only person who was introduced in the show that, imho, was considerate towards what OT6 was going through. He realized that he's piercing through a bond that's so strong that his introduction to the group would not be received well and so he waited.

From the very beginning, Chanwoo has always been the kind of person who refuses to be a burden. He wants to stand with his own two feet. He refuses to be acknowledged just because Hanbin was a great leader.

I love Chanwoo because he's always been self-aware of his capabilities and his position in the group. When faced with frustrations of things not going well, he recognizes the fact that compared to the others, he is lacking. He did not hide. He did not cower.

What he did was he stayed behind in the practice room to catch up to the groupmates he's pulling behind. His sense of self-accomplishment was strong enough to push him to do well and to prevent himself from lingering at the bottom line.

One of the reasons why Chanwoo blended in so well at that time was because Chanwoo, who was an outsider, already shared the same fierce determination and thirst for improvement that the OT6 was identified with.

He worked so hard to be acknowledged for his effort. He finally did in EP 6. But what squeezed my heart about that episode was the fact that Chanwoo shed tears because despite his efforts up to that point, he can't be fully happy while taking YOYO's spot.

He wasn't even at the bottom three at that time & yet he felt so bad taking a spot from the OT6. I realized at the end that he must have felt guilty since he'd always felt incapable. He must've thought that despite his efforts, someone else still deserves it more than he did.

At that moment, I thought to myself: "If there is anyone that should be with the OT6, it'll be Chanwoo." Because this kid has enough heart and empathy to realize that his success could be someone's failure in OT6.

To me, a person w/ the kind of attitude to set aside self-greed to feel for those around him will seamlessly mold himself in the tenacious wall that OT6 have built around themselves. Because OT6 reached that far by thinking of the well-being of their members than themselves.

However, his anxiety and worry continue even after debut. After all, it can't be denied that their debut in 2015 means that Chanwoo only had over a year of professional training. He only had abt year to completely blend himself in the team.

People don't realize that #CHANWOO has YEARS to catch up to when it comes to training. If you're a true iKONIC, you should've realized that Chanwoo was able to improve this much despite the huge time differential of training compared to others.

Do you guys ever think about how much he had to work harder to not be the black hole in iKON? Do you ever think about the humiliation and disappointment he must have felt each time he practice one-on-one with Hanbin?

Each session must've felt like a harsh slap of realization of what level his skills are compared to the others. This was taken just a year ago. Many would think that a debuted idol wouldn't work this hard. But Chanwoo isn't like that. He knows his goals & he WILL pursue them.

I've said this before. I hate people who count lines per member. Line allocation will never equate to song quality. Hanbin giving lines not suited to Chanwoo's skills will only be detrimental to him. But does Chanwoo deliver? YES HE DOES!

The way #CHANWOO opened the song with his low melancholic tone just hits you straight to the heart. It wasn’t extravagant; it was impactful. It was subdued, almost too passively, but that’s what one goes through during a break up. You can’t do anything but accept it.

At the bridge, when all the instrumentals were stripped down to almost nothing, I cried bec of the weight of emotions delivered within those two lines. #Chanwoo ’s part was the culmination of all the emotions depicted in this song’s narrative. His voice is just perfect for that.

I want people to realize that #Chanwoo was able to perform this well because he did not sit on his ass all day long playing games. Nobody else knows more than Chanwoo himself how much he is lacking compared to the others. We all have only seen a glimpse of his talents.

I want to remind you that this year's releases were mostly written in 2015. We have yet to fully taste what these boys have to offer years after 2015. Don't get stuck on what could've been. It's been 4 years since the show.

Ask yourselves this: in any of iKON's dance practice videos, was there ever a moment when Chanwoo was a blackhole? As a matter of fact, Jinhwan makes more mistakes on choreo than Chanwoo ever did. This boy did not get on stage despite his injuries just for you to discredit him.

This boy did not get into iKON because of pity. He didn't get on that stage because he was forced to. He worked his ass off day in and day out knowing that his lack of skills could be harmful for the rest of them. But even when that fear lingers, he didn't let it foster.

Though Chanwoo has this fear, he would never beg for lines from Hanbin. Hanbin allows this because this is the only way Chanwoo will truly improve and genuinely feel accomplished. There is no shortcut to success.

If you're truly a fan of iKON, you would understand why it's hard for Chanwoo to bring his members to film for his YT. Chanwoo is a very considerate person. He would never do anything to make someone uncomfortable.

Besides, he knows how it feels like for the members because he lives the same lifestyle. Also, the members are not selfish to refuse to go on Chanwoo's channel. They help him out when he asks. So please, give Chanwoo the freedom to film whatever he wants with whoever he wants.

WHAT IF. inhun age gap au with older gihun/younger inho. BUT ALSO. junhun. AND ALSO. inho+junho twins au. SO LIKE (my brain seriously needs to get checked out dear fucking god 😭😭 anywho)

so like idk maybe inho and junhos dad was two timing their moms at the same time, and both boys ended up being born within the same week, with inho a few days older ofc, and their moms move in together to raise their boys like twins while they take everything they can from the bastard that got them preg at the same time

so like everything happens as per usual, junho getting sick, inho being a perfect match, them both going into the police force, unsure if inho should get married in this au idkkkk. anyways gihun still enters the games and comes back, tries to tell the police who all but kick him out the station as they laugh. except inho and junho, who are HELLA sus, known to their superiors for being literal twin terrors with crazy streaks and a willingness to stick their head in anybodys buisness.

so they both head to the island, disguise themselves as guards, and watch as everything gihun said comes true. childhood games leading to death. they barely make it off the island alive (ooooh who is the frontman? or. frontWOMAN maybe huh? 👀👀 jk idk either LMAO).

so anyways gihun starts his mission to end the games, now backed by TWO early thirties Hwang brothers, both obsessed and all too ready to do whatever it takes to make gihun happy. and win the games i guess. but mostly make gihun happy, no matter how he keeps rebuffing their advances, intent on denying the far younger men because he thinks he doesnt deserve to be happy. but thats okay :)) the Hwang twins will show him that he deserves all that and more

So the director said Gi hun would be a completely different person in s3 compared to s2. I see it going 2 ways :

a) Too depressed and resigned. Not really having any hope left

b) Angry and revengeful and possibly crashing out

Or maybe a mix of both. I personally think the first one is more likely to happen. What do you think will happen? And what would you prefer to happen? I personally don't want gi hun to turn evil or have any villain arc. I think it would be bad writing

every interview i've seen of director hwang talking abt s3 has filled me with dread honestly, because i have no idea what this man is going to do.

i also don't want gihun to have a evil or corruption arc, or to become the front man. i want him to be himself throughout the season, maybe a little darker as a consequence of his experiences but not evil.

i can see gihun maybe falling off the deep end a bit, in terms of his mental stability - jungbae's death is going to deeply affect him (think saebyeok in s1 and how different he was before and after her death). he isn't going to become violent or sociopathic, at least i hope not, but i came see that suicidal ideation he had this past season suddenly jump out and him becoming outright suicidal; maybe willingly being left behind during one of the games or jumping in front of someone to protect them.

like you said, both depressed AND angry. wanting to tear it all down but not actually believing that he can. his confidence will be shaken and the players' reactions to his failed revolt will shake him to his core.

and i think it will be the other players - hyunju, junhee, daeho, geumja and yongsik - that are going to help him regain his hope that yes, these games can stop. they can leave with their lives, not everyone has to die.

(which is why their deaths will impact gihun so much and he will have a renewed strength to end the games.)

i'd want gihun to destroy the island and the games in south korea, and leave that island alive. i need him to reunite with gayeong and try to life as happily as he can for the rest of his life.

i dont think he'll actually say what the games where, or explain to sangwoo's mom and cheol what actually happened to sangwoo and saebyeok, even with the games being over. it's pretty obvious that ilnam had powerful clients and i dont believe those six vips are the only ones bankrolling the games, so i think that even with the island destroyed and the entire structure of the games burning, they will still have enough influence in the government and media to say that the explosion was the result of some military test or a natural disaster. i genuinely dont believe the world will find out abt the games.

all of this being said, i need him to crash out on inho so bad. and also on junho. idk i want to see gihun actually be angry at what was done to him, and not just be angry at what was done to others. he needs to realize that he didnt deserve what he went through and he didnt deserve to be lied to and betrayed and played for a fool.

You know who I was thinking would be good with Ray? Kim the merc leader tbh like it sounds random but they both seem very serious and practical and like Kim would be attracted to Ray, and Ray would tolerate him and find him attractive too in a sort of coworkers with benefits sort of way

Like imagine in an AU where Gihun and Ray are friends or siblings and Ray also joins the mission to find the island, they're on the boat bored out of their mind and having rough sex with Kim is the only entertainment they have until they figure out what's going on with the captain and then yay they have someone to torture so they can find Gihun faster

Also that ask about Gihun and Ray being protective of each other was soooo good I need more of that!!

as i was reading this, i realized that we are ignoring the most obvious ray pairing.... junho.

he and ray have so much in common! ray went on a rampage to avenge the death of their brother and junho went on a whole ass undercover operation to try to find his brother. in both cases, said brother was the head of a criminal organization (the yakuza for ray's brother and the games for inho).

i think ray would think junho is being stupid for believing his brother is still alive and junho would wonder what ray's agenda is bc there's no way they actually care abt gihun. and they would get closer as the days go by and ray would clock captain park's sneaky ass in three seconds.

idk, i just think they'd be nice together 😌

and u know inho would lose his mind over his baby brother having a relationship with a trained assassin (who looks like gihun..... i know i talk abt this every time ppl ask me abt ray but i dont think inho would ever get over the fact that gihun and ray are pratically the same person 😭)
