A lot of my lorre related opinions have changed since I've had this blog
The biggest one I can think of rn is that Polo and 'I was an Adventuress' >>>>>>> Louie and 'I'll give a million'
#peter lorre#i was an Adventuress#polo#ill give a million#louie the dope#its partially that ive come to find polo to be slightly more complex than louie#but also every time i rewatch IGAM i find myself a little bit more uncomfortable with its implications#idk the fact that its a silly comedy and so old made it easier for me to look past the anti homeless and classist sentiments of it initially#but thinking about the fact that the actual great depression was happening while that film was being made and came out#makes the fact that its about a dude whos sad cause hes too rich even more off putting than it already seemed yknow?#my second biggest change of opinion since starting this blog was probably my gradual descent into becoming a mortimer brewster hater#third was realising tmf isnt that good#at least for a bogey film#i still like the characters and how they choose to give us plot info n stuff#but id rather watch most peterless bogey films than tmf most days

Ray! 🍅 anon here, I said I wasn't going to request but there's one idea I've been really, REALLY itching at.
So you know how you reblogged "cold nights" by beiibeii? Yeah about that... I think I cooked an angst idea of this on a related tangent? (If you choose to write this, ofc)
How about Mother!Reader who is faced with the same scenario of Arle neglecting them to the point that she loses hope in their relationship? Think of the angst when the children constantly remind their Father of important dates but she's away or somehow missing most of them because of work. To the point reader just implies for them to stop trying and accepts the fact that they married Arlecchino but is now simply the Knave's wife? Like even the children can see them losing hope which is why they sometimes lowkey plead with their Father to actually pay more attention to Mother. Mother marrying Father means that Mother is strong but behind their strong facade you can see their sadness! You can feel their loneliness! And their sense of isolation and sorrowful acceptance of their new reality. And Arle does not pick up on the subtle signs until it's Too Late. Like. Reader in the coffin Late.
And as the Knave's wife Reader does need to undertake missions like in "I am Fine in Your Arms" but because reader has lost so much hope in living a wife outside of being the Knave's wife, reader does not make an effort to return alive. The angst of the burial, maybe the children blaming their Father etc. The really young ones aside, I don't think they would be actively angry with their Father, just very, VERY, disappointed. HotH would lose its warmth for a while before Lyney, Lynette and Freminet try their best to build it back (but of course, it never becomes as warm as it used to be)
Whether or not you choose to give this one a happy ending is up to you, but on my end the only happy ending that I cooked up for them is that Arle wakes up in the next Samsara with all these memories of losing Reader and prevents the relationship from going South in the first place. (Bonus points if Reader also has the memories and compares it to how they were treated by Arle previously, makes a comparison, and goes "How I wish this were my Arle" without knowing that it actually IS their Arle, just acknowledging she fucked up BIG time and is now making heavy amends for it. and Arle Knows because of that look that Reader gives her, sorrow and joy in a complex blend.)
...I think by now you can tell that I'm an angst writer too HAHSHHSHA Nobody leaves my fics without getting a knife and I promise it's just for the plot (like we always say).
I've still been keeping up with your writings (Beauty and The Beast actually fits, holy-) (Someone send Siren!Arle a whole farmhouse of ham for her consumption please) and yes I agree that you've been pumping out bangers after bangers. (I mean. Given that, you probably can afford to be a little indulgent? If writing this much quality about your muse doesn't give you the OK to put your hands all over them, abs and all, what does?)
As always, prioritise your sanity and schedule first, stay well rested and hydrated!
Lost Warmth
(Arlecchino x GN! Reader)
A/N - Link to my momma's (@beiibeiii) piece right here. If I see you read this before reading the masterpiece I just linked, know that I am a very disappointed axolotl. 😔 Anyways, you might be able to tell just how long this has been sitting in my inbox… haha… my bad guys. T^T. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to write more angst. :3 And thank you for the additional comments 🍅 anon. I do have quite a soft spot for siren! arle, seeing that she was my first request (and requested from my momma :3). Wanted this to be a little longer, but I do have to wake up earlier tomorrow, so this is what you get T^T. Hopefully it's still good. Content warnings / info - angst, character death (duh), reader is referred to as ‘Mother’ but is otherwise GN!, 1.4k words
Cold is a feeling you've long gotten used to. Cold is your husband's dismissal of your existence, with every interaction ending with her blunt words and back towards you, leaving you with a crumbling heart. Cold are the long nights as you anxiously wait for Arlecchino's appearance for a candlelit dinner you spent half the day preparing, only for her never to return until you fell to exhaustion on the couch, a flower bouquet that remains unreceived in your hands. Cold is the creeping loneliness in the late hours of the night, when you've finally grown tired of anticipating someone that will never come, and returned to bed alone. Cold is the way you shiver underneath the thickest of blankets, no one's body warmth to sink into, no one's softly whispered words into your ear to drift you to sleep. Cold is when instead of your husband, only dim stars, a bottle of liquor, and the tears that stream your face join you in bed.
When was the last time you had felt warmth?
You recall when the Knave first started courting you, how gentlemanly she was for such a rumored cruel Harbinger. You were first just a caretaker of the House of the Hearth, this small orphanage which you quickly found to be home for you. You couldn't help but adore the endearing children, watching as you slowly became a staple in this family. Despite your best efforts of hiding it, Arlecchino noticed when you snuck in the occasional pastry or cake from the town's most lavious bakery for the children, out of your own paycheck as well. It was then, your husband admitted, when she first fell for you. It had taken her months of encouragement from her ‘pestering’ children before she asked you out, and it was impossible to not fall for her charm.
How could you not? Not when she held you like you were her world. Not when she viewed you higher than the Tsaritsa herself. Not when her touch was heavenly, her words silky and sweet. When she proposed to you, your heart leapt with levity, and you thought your life was perfect now. A warm house, fitted with warm parents, that was what you had had, you had never felt so content.
Then came the long nights. Nights when she trudged home later than usual, where she fell asleep without a word but sunk into your arms still. Then she started forgetting, forgetting about the dates and birthdays, and anniversaries more and more. At first, you chalked it up to her demanding Harbinger duties, but as time grew and the excuses started to run out, the perfect life you knew was crumbling.
You became aware of this two years after your marriage when you had been preparing dinner for the two of you once she arrived home, slow cooking a steak since the early hours of the morning. Just as you exited the kitchen, you heard some children surrounding your husband before she left for another Harbinger meeting, telling her that you had a surprise for her once she came home and how excited you were for her to enjoy a new recipe you created. Your heart swelled with hope and appreciation for your children, especially when Arlecchino promised she would return in time.
You should have known better.
You ate your tear-ridden steak alone and went to bed, leaving the steak out for her for whenever she returned home. Just like how you fell asleep, you woke up without your husband's presence, and when you arrived at the kitchen, the meat and the note besides the plate were untouched.
You tried to eat the cold steak for lunch as well. You threw it away at the first bite. That day, you gathered your children, pleading them not to ‘pester’ Father with more reminders, as she was very busy. All that you gained back from the children was pitied expressions, and the agony in your chest worsened. Your children could pity you, but your husband couldn't? Even with your husband's coldness, you still carried out your Mother role, if only for the children. You cannot deny that the children's antics helped you forget the ever-present void inside you, caused by Arlecchino.
You never learned the reason for Arlecchino's behavior, why she had grown so cold towards you. Now, you suppose, you would never know.
Red fills your hazy vision as you lay on the ground, your entire body aching and fatigued, desperate gasps for air while your heart pounds in your eardrums. Your side was sliced, and the crimson liquid quickly poured out of the wound while you tried to stop the bleeding, but to no avail.
This is your end, you think to yourself as you weakly turn on your side, every nerve in your body protesting against the movement. Your bloodied hand comes into view, your engagement and wedding ring gleaming slightly underneath the blood. The rings bring your thoughts to Arlecchino–oh, how you imagine the common disappointment in her otherwise apathetic expression, disappointment at your mission's failure. Your eyes bubbled and blurred with tears, vivid memories of your wedding flashing through your mind. The wedding ring is beautiful, still polished with that bold scarlet, the same color of her eyes, the same eyes you could never stop drowning in.
Would she even know your absence? Would she ever acknowledge you, treat you properly like her partner even if you did return? You doubt it. Did you want to return a cold bed, to a husband that does not love you, to a house no longer warm?
It's warm.
Your body feels like fire courses through your veins as you feel inexplicably hot, yet it's a welcomed heat. It's the first time you've felt this, but it feels familiar, comforting, like a hearth, and you want nothing more than to surrender to it. It soothes your heartbeat and calms your breath, easing your body as if you were to sink into the most plush of beds, swallowed by the thickest of blankets. The warmth coils around you, wrapping you like a cozy embrace, evoking you to sleep. Your eyes flutter shutter, a faint smile plastered on your lips.
It feels just like Peruere's arms.
—
Arlecchino receives a letter addressed to her on the third day you've been sent on a mission. The contents make her drop the paper, and she rushes outside, without an additional word, leaving the House.
The children do not see her until she returns late into the night, a body wrapped in cloth in her arms. Arlecchino raised her children to be smart, to be attentive, to be logical. Whose body it is, they realize with little difficulty.
The children weep that night. Arlecchino does not. How can she, when her source of emotions is gone?
The burial takes place soon afterwards. As your body is placed into the ground, Arlecchino can feel the weight of her children's stare on her back. The charged tension between her and the children is palpable without words. She cannot discern which of the two reactions cut deeper. The seething fury underneath the oppressive grief for the young ones, having to lose another parent, or the crushing dismay inhabited by the older ones, specifically the twins and Freminet.
Their thoughts are clear, even when none of them speak out loud.
How could you fail Mother?
The House of the Hearth no longer suits the orphanage's name, not with your missing presence. There is no warmth, no matter how much the trio tries to fuel a lost flame. Even with Arlecchin's pyro vision, it is futile.
Arlecchino stands before your gravestone, a bouquet of your favorite flowers in her hand, and she rests it beside the other bouquets by your grave. Six bouquets in total, for each day after your burial.
“For all the flowers, I should have given you, my love,” she whispers as she addresses you, glancing up to the heavens. The last two words make her feel like a fraud, undeserving of calling you hers, when she had clearly never shown so.
Arlecchino, the Knave, the Fatui Harbinger, does not plead, does not beg, does not kneel. However, her knees drop to her dirt, and she grovels. “Please… wait for me one more time, my dear. Once I meet you again, I promise I'll never leave you alone, I'll never let you out of my arms again.”
There is no reply.
Arlecchino feels cold.

Hey, it's me who asked for Jim Stark from Rebel Without a Cause! You said to send the info... it's a lot though. I tried to describe him as best I could. Thanks again!
--------------------------------------------------------------
Jim Stark:
From a first glance, Jim may look menacing and like a bad boy, but he's actually a sensitive and kindhearted boy; he's a decent and gentle boy who unhesitatingly befriends and stands up for this meek boy Plato on his first day of school, takes care of people who have shown him kindness.
A guy trying to be good even though the circumstances always seem to be against him. A peace-seeking young man who shows nothing but kindness to the people around him and just wants to make friends but is continually forced to fight.
He's self-aware enough to know he has problems, but he doesn't know how to exactly fix them and his parents are no help either as instead of helping him, they spend more time bickering over how problems keep finding their son--blaming sources other than them. Moving to place after place in an attempt to have a new start, only to keep moving because his parents would rather run away instead of taking accountability for their son.
Even though he says the opposite, Jim Stark wants friends and peace; he doesn't want any trouble. He's an awkward, earnest, and kind fellow, but it's just not apparent as much. He's a nervous and volatile soul in a world that doesn't understand him.
Some of his quotes(feel free to disregard this):
"Nobody talks to children."
"You're tearing me apart!"
This line in particular is important.
Jim screams these words after listening to his parents and grandmother bicker in circles in the police department after he got arrested. The line is a literal cry for help, and an anguished exclamation that emphasizes Jim's fragmented sense of self. It signals an abrupt break from Jim's earlier behavior in the scene, in which he is mostly playful and soft-spoken.
"You, you say one thing, he says another, and everybody changes back again!"
“I want answers now. I’m not interested in what I’ll understand ten years from now.”
"If I had one day when I didn't have to be all confused and I didn't have to feel that I was ashamed of everything. If I felt that I belonged someplace."
"You say it's because of me, you say it's because of the neighborhood! You use every other phony excuse! Mom, I just... Once I want to do something right! And I don't want you to run away from me again! Dad."
[sitting down, hugging his father's legs helplessly] "Help me!"
Nameless Stranger:
Prefer if you don't name this person as their supposed to be a little mysterious, still just a normal person though. There also doesn't need to be any description to the character; it adds on to being unknown. In addition, using gender-neutral pronouns helps with establishing that this original character is just nameless stranger.
Plot:
(At the beginning of the film, there's the scene of Jim drunkenly lying on the sidewalk in suburban Los Angeles. He covers up this little cymbal monkey with newspaper as a makeshift blanket and gives it some nice gift wrap to lay its head on before police sirens are blaring, wearing an intoxicated smile all the while.) The opening scene if you want to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hClumtsReoM
It's a conversation between Jim Stark and this character about whatever; it starts out as a concerned stranger looking out for him, but that's just the start. Whichever subject you choose, all I ask is that it's meaningful and it clearly sticks in the boy's mind for an immeasurable amount of time.
✧・゚: a/n : thank you for the descriptions! they were so very helpful and i hope that i did okay hereee!! been awhile since i wrote something up but yeaa<3
✧ Title: ✧ The Weight of Shadows ✧ ✧ Characters: Jim Stark, reader (gn! unnamed) ✧ Genre: Angst, Hurt/Comfort ✧ Rating: T ✧ Summary: A quiet night on the streets of suburban Los Angeles becomes a turning point for Jim Stark as he meets a stranger who challenges his perceptions of loneliness and self-worth. ✧ Content Warnings: Loneliness, emotional vulnerability, themes of self-worth, subtle hope ✧ WC: 762 words // 4.4k chars
It was late. The streets of suburban Los Angeles were eerily quiet, save for the occasional hum of a car passing by in the distance. The amber glow of a streetlamp illuminated the sidewalk, casting long, wavering shadows. There he was—Jim Stark, sprawled on the concrete, his iconic red jacket slightly askew. He’d found a cymbal monkey toy discarded nearby, carefully tucking it under a sheet of crinkled newspaper like it was some priceless treasure. The corners of his lips tugged into a bittersweet smile, the kind that comes when you’re teetering between sadness and amusement.
The sound of soft footsteps approached, hesitant yet purposeful. Jim’s head turned lazily toward the figure standing a few feet away, their face obscured by the dim lighting. They crouched down to his level, their movements deliberate but non-threatening.
“Rough night?” the stranger asked, their voice calm and steady.
Jim chuckled dryly, the sound rough in his throat. “You could say that. You gonna lecture me too?”
“Does it look like I’m here to lecture?” the stranger countered, a trace of humor in their tone. They sat cross-legged on the pavement beside him, hands resting loosely on their knees. “Not every stranger’s out to get you, y’know.”
Jim huffed, leaning back against the lamppost. “Could’ve fooled me. Seems like everyone wants something. A fight, a favor, a scapegoat.” He gestured vaguely at the empty street. “That’s why I’m out here. Safer to be alone.”
The stranger tilted their head, studying him for a moment before responding. “Safer, sure. But is it better?”
Jim glanced at them, his brow furrowing. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Just that being alone—really alone—can mess with your head. Makes you think the world’s against you when maybe it’s just... lost.”
The words hung in the air, mingling with the faint buzz of the streetlamp. Jim swallowed hard, his fingers twitching against the fabric of his jacket. “Feels like the world’s always been against me,” he murmured. “Like no matter what I do, I’m just this... problem everyone’s trying to solve. But they’re the ones screwing it all up, not me.”
The stranger’s gaze softened, their voice dropping to a near whisper. “You’re not a problem, Jim. You’re a person. A complicated, messy, trying-their-best person. And maybe that’s enough.”
Jim’s laugh was shaky, almost disbelieving. “Enough? You don’t know me. Hell, you don’t even know my name.”
“Maybe not,” the stranger admitted, shrugging lightly. “But I know what it looks like when someone’s carrying more than they can handle. And I know it’s not weak to want someone to help carry the load.”
For a long moment, Jim didn’t say anything. He stared down at the cymbal monkey, now tucked snugly under its makeshift blanket. “Nobody talks to kids,” he said finally, his voice raw. “Not really. They just... talk around us. Like we’re not there. Like our feelings don’t count. But they do. They should.”
The stranger nodded. “Yeah, they should. And they do count, Jim. Even if the people around you can’t see it.”
Jim’s head snapped up, his eyes narrowing slightly. “How do you—”
“Lucky guess,” they said, cutting him off with a small smile. “Doesn’t take a genius to figure out when someone’s hurting.”
The boy’s shoulders slumped, and for the first time in a long while, he let himself feel the weight of it all. The loneliness, the frustration, the aching need for something more. “Sometimes I just wish... I didn’t have to try so hard. Like, if I could just get it right one time, maybe people would stop running away from me. Maybe they’d stay.”
“Maybe you’re trying to get it right for the wrong people,” the stranger said gently. “The ones who matter won’t run, no matter how many times you fall. They’ll help you back up. And if they don’t? Screw ‘em.”
Jim blinked, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. “You’re weird, you know that?”
“Takes one to know one,” they replied, standing up and brushing off their jeans. “Come on. Let’s get you off this sidewalk before the cops come back around.”
He hesitated, looking up at them with a mix of curiosity and gratitude. “Why do you care?”
The stranger paused, their expression unreadable. “Because someone should.”
Jim’s chest tightened, but he didn’t argue. Instead, he let them pull him to his feet, the cymbal monkey cradled in his hand like a fragile promise. As they walked side by side into the quiet night, Jim found himself thinking that maybe—just maybe—he wasn’t as alone as he thought.

Part 2
Disclaimer: This post is in favor of my ship, Elriel. No hate, just an opinion. This is what makes sense to me. If this isn't your cup of tea, and it came up on your feed, no worries just skip please.
With all this in mind Elriel to me just seems so clear.
The enemy is Koschei and Vassa is the only one to be directly linked to and affected by him so she will be the one to defeat him, plan and give us insight from the inside because she is the one who is captive. She has a personal interest in defeating him and that victory and moment is rightfully hers to own.
She will get a book. Her being a firebird means nothing? why would people assume she won't have a conscious while in that form when Rhys, Tamlin and Helion do? Why do people believe that a story cant be developed and moved along as a firebird? Has any one ever read a werewolf book? Im soooo confused. I mean why is that a end all? Even as a firebird she can see and reveal so much, and as a person even more.
The main original characters that have a direct link to Feyre from the very beginning before Hybern, Amarantha, and ACOWAR are Nesta, Elain and Lucien. Those are the characters that make the most sense to have their own book. Not Tamlin who is of no importance to Feyre anymore. Who is of importance and who where her first family Lucien basically becoming her first brother. She is always concerned for these people. If you take a look at all of Feyre’s POV in ACOFAS its always showcasing her concern or confusion for Her sisters, Lucien and even Mor (possible novella). These three individuals (N&E&L) are the ones she has an original relationship with and the most history, a shaky relationship that has room to be improved on. These are the wildcards, the ones who have wronged her in some way, the ones who’s stories NEED to be told. Three different people three different stories.
If you also take a look at Rhys’ POV in order, you realize he talks to or refers to 5 people usually:
Cassian, Azriel, Mor, Tamlin & Lucien
Each of these first 5 POV also directly touches on what issues exactly are pertaining to them or could be pertaining to them if that had their own book OR how they may contribute to the whole over arching plot.
If we conclude everything from those first 5 chapters ( I'm not including the rest because its too much, and they also include these 5 characters regardless) of importance this is what we have and what each book may touch on.
1st POV: involves
-Cassian - Illyrian dissent, inequality, Nesta, queen Braiylln, training female Illyrians,
-Cassian’s role
2nd POV: involves
-Azriel-shadows/powers strength, Az’s past, confusion on shadowsinger abilities, Illyrian dissent/hate, Human queens, Hyberns people, Human lands, Vassa’s situation,
-Az’z emotions (& concealing of emotions) on : Lucien, Elain, Possibly Az’s mom and her whereabouts (Rosehall).
3rd POV:
-Tamlin/Lucien-SC and Tamlin current state and down fall, alliance with Tamlin, peace/future, Lucien’s and Tamlin’s relationship, Anger/Hate/Remorse/Defeat/Hope/Empty, Feyre
-Feyre-Tamlin, Rhys’ actions and remorse
-Jeweler(Neve)-no jewels for Feyre, Neve’s background
4th POV:
-Velaris estates along the Sidra before and after hybern,
-Mor: Rhys and mor’s relationship currently, Kier/Eris/CoN
-The CoN people occupied the Velaris estates (they left Hewn City before the division of the NC)
-Kiers upcoming visit to Velaris in Spring (the hewn city’s containment and curiosity)
-Mor’s Mother/ desire to leave the NC
-Mor’s Role
Rhys’ 1st POV which included Cassian and Cassian’s following POV/Chapter was a foreshadow to ACOSF completely. Everything touched was basically addressed in ACOSF. Rhys basically told Mor and Cassian to assume different jobs and roles (to lessen Azriel’s world load) in their chapters which came true in ACOSF.
A bond between Elain and Lucien does not mean they will have a book. If I'm honest they remind me a little of Nesyrn and Chaol who seemed like with time something could blossom between them but in reality just weren't for one another and were better off as friends. All that connects these two is an unwanted bond, a person they both have wronged yet care about (Feyre) and an incident that resulted in Elain’s trauma. Everyone thought Elain who is literally everything to Nesta, who Nesta would have sacrificed everything for, would be more involved, yet she wasn't even present in the majority of Nesta’s book, at least not as present as we thought she would be. But she was mentioned throughout ACOSF nearly in every chapter because Elain does and has impacted Nesta’s life completely. This is something I expect to happen for Elain’s book as well. Yes Lucien will appear but perhaps the purpose of his appearance would be to get closure and fill in questions left unanswered. If ACOTAR 5 is an Elriel book and not ACOTAR 6 then her book will also serve to set up for his book with Vassa.
Feyre’s relationship with the IC is fine and any issues can be resolved in the books of the others (like for example as Love interests) or in a novella.
Cassian had a POV, the second main role in ACOSF but.. ACOSF was Nesta’s story.
The same can be said for Elriel’s book as well as Vassien’s.
And yes a male can have a book like Chaol did but in my opinion it won't be Az with Gwyn being the second main POV. It will be Lucien with Vassa who has far more ties to the IC and to the over arching plot. Vassa at least has met Feyre the main character of the whole ACOTAR world.
Hypothetically speaking lets say Az does get a book and ends up with Gwyn and the plot is about the Illyrian camp. Their story would most likely be written as a novella if anything not an actual book, there is not many ties that Gwyn has so far to the whole plot at least not yet. But getting a novella still wouldn't make sense when we have characters, who are not only closer to the plot but also provide an opportunity to get info/support to win this war, like Mor who is spending time in Vallahan, and Tamlin who’s literal court is not only in shambles but unfortunately detrimental to the success of attaining peace.
I do think Gwyn is more important to this plot then most give her credit for but I dont believe that necessarily means shes due a book or a main POV especially over Vassa. And Emerie.
Vassa who has direct link to koschei the main issue, point and villain of the plot and Emerie who has a direct link to Illyria and its backward ways in everything most importantly on its stance of women and their roles.
SJM Set Elriel to be endgame because it just makes the most sense. Not only because of their connection, moments and relationship thus far but because that's what makes the most sense with this plot. There’s no spinoff in the works.
There’s no reason for Gwyn or ANYONE for that matter to be the one to defeat koschei over Vassa, no reason to have the hugest wedge between Elucien while building a bridge for Elriel, no reason to build and hint for Mor’s leave and put emphasis on Tamlin & the SC’s dire situation.
Has anyone considered if Lucien wants to even be HL ?
Lucien’s future as a highlord comes down to if he even wants to even become the Day Court’s High lord in the first place.
Lucien thought less of humans and was indifferent to them in ACOTAR yet now has found a home and friends among them. ‘
Truthfully the BOE’s work in the same way that the IC does and the Valkyerie.
Actually scratch that the Valkyerie work exactly like the BOE’s.
Yet can anyone imagine any of the Valkyrie leaving their group or be far from each other especially if one of their member’s is their possible love interest ?
They will choose each other and they will create a future where they are all together.
I don’t see lucien who has finally found stability and friends leaving the BOE’s to play high lord at Day court unless Vassa and Jurian decide to leave with him. Which seems unlikely. The only way I see that happening is if vassien truly becomes endgame resulting in Vassa going to Day court. But where does that leave Jurian.
I believe that after the Beron and AC issues are resolved, that Eris will ascend and become HL, Lady Autumn will leave to be FINALLY with Helion to be Lady Day 😍, and Lucien can enjoy his life in the mean time with his found family, stay as an emissary and possibly prepare to be Day’s HL down the line in the future.

Accidental Attachment Part 4
Pairing: Steve x reader
Warnings: character death, talk of revenger, some fluff, little bit of angst, Tony Stark being friend of the year (yes it’s a warning)
Word Count: 2846
A/N: This is not beta read, so all mistakes are mine. I tweaked the plot of CA: TWS slightly.
Enjoy!
I figured I would take this time while Steve was gone to hang out with some of the other Avengers. Though the only one I really “enjoyed” talking to was Tony. As much crap as I give him, he’s a really nice guy. He is like a mentor for me. He took on the challenge of helping me control my emotions to control my abilities. No one else was as kind to me as he was, well, minus Steve.
“Hey, where’s Rogers?”
“He left to go on a mission last night. He didn’t say where, but it seemed urgent.”
“Ah, probably Washington with Nat. She also left last night.”
“Probably.”
“So, did you two talk?”
“We did, and we don’t know.”
“What? Come on this has to be some sort of joke right? I’m being punked.”
“No. We both agreed that we would see how we handle being apart, and if we both feel it is difficult to be apart, then we know that it’s meant to be.”
“I see. Do you think it’ll work out?”
“I hope so. I really like him, Stark, and our coffee date went even better than I could have imagined.”
“You guys went on a coffee date?”
“Yeah, it was kind of both of our ideas. It was perfect though. Even better than I could have imagined.”
“I’m glad. I really hope, on a serious note, that everything works out for you two.”
“Thanks Stark.”
“So, since you are free till Rogers gets back, want to redo our dinner plans from the other night? No more surprise guests. Just you, me, and Mrs. Potts.”
“Okay. Just no more locking me in rooms. That was not fun for any of us.”
“Okay. I’m sorry about that, but hey, it kind of worked did it not?”
“I guess. Had you not done that, we wouldn’t have gone to train together, and we wouldn’t have gotten personal.”
“You two got personal, but you two aren’t a thing?”
“Not that kind of personal Stark. Get your head out of the gutter.”
“Oh you meant talking about personal things.”
“Yes.”
“Take that as a good thing he doesn’t talk about his personal life very much.”
“I’ve noticed. I shared some personal things with him as well. I felt it was only fair.”
“He really is missing out if doesn’t think you two would be a good match.”
“My worry is he’ll meet someone there, and forget all about me.”
“I don’t think that’ll happen. He really likes you. I know he won’t forget about you.”
“You never know Stark. There are many women out there much prettier than I.”
“Stop that. That is not true at all. He would be stupid to just toss you to the side, especially after you both made yourselves vulnerable in front of each other. If he doesn’t see your worth then he must be blind.”
“Thanks Stark.” I smile being genuine.
“Of course. Now, I don’t want to hear you say that ever again.”
“I’ll try not to.”
“Thank you.”
I excuse myself to go freshen up, as Stark walks out. I head to take a shower, and change. I had decided to stay in the tower while Steve was gone. I don’t know why, but I felt like it was safer than staying at my apartment. In a way it was. Stark had the place fully secured with alarm systems and cameras. I knew I would be safer here than in a place where nothing but a locked door was between me and a murderer.
I had just gotten changed and was waiting for a text from Stark when I got a call. I looked down and saw it was Steve, “hey there stranger.”
“Hey.” I could tell he was smiling.
“How has the trip to Washington been so far?”
“Good. Just got back from the mission. I wanted to call and see how you’ve been doing.”
“I’m doing good. You caught me at a good time actually. I was just relaxing after getting ready.”
“May I ask for what?”
“I’m going over to Stark’s for a redemption dinner, after the fiasco from last time, he wants to make things up to me.”
“That’s nice of him.”
“Yeah. I thought so too.”
“I gotta get going, but I’ll call you tonight, okay?”
“Sounds good. Enjoy Washington.”
“I will. Enjoy dinner.”
“I will.”
“Bye.”
“Goodbye Steve.”
I smile, hanging up. He was so sweet. I didn’t expect to hear from him for a while. I was glad his mission was over, but I hoped he would come back soon. I missed him so much. I knew though, that I needed to be patient. Things would work out exactly like they were supposed to.
I soon got a text from Stark saying I could start heading that way. I walk out of the building and go down to the parking garage. I get in my car, and head to Stark’s place. I park my car, and walk in heading up to his place.
“Glad you made it.”
“Thanks Stark. I hope this isn’t another trap.”
“You think I would tell you that Cap really likes you, then ask you to come here and set you up with someone else?”
“Now that you say it out loud, it doesn’t sound like something you would do.”
“See? Nothing to worry about.”
“I guess. I’m just still on edge from what happened the last time. Yeah, things have seemed to work out so far, but I still worry that maybe it won’t.”
“I know you are scared, but I know things will work out between the two of you. Just trust me.”
“The scary part is, I do trust you.” “Thanks. As much as that hurts.”
“I’m sorry. Do you blame me though? You haven't exactly been super trust worthy lately."
"She's right Tony. You did kind of pin her in a corner with her crush, and tried to force them together. They seem to have done just fine on their own. You just needed to give it a little time." Pepper spoke up, walking into the room.
"Maybe the push was what they needed."
"Can we stop talking about Steve? I came here to take my mind off of it. Not get caught in this conversation all night. If we work out, great. If not, oh well. We'll still be really good friends and that's all that matters."
"See?" Pepper smirked.
"I think they're perfect for each other, and hopefully Steve will realise that."
"I hope so too Stark, but you can't just force it on him. If he doesn’t feel that way about me, it’s no big deal. We’re adults and we have to handle it like adults.”
“You’re right. You’re right. Come on, let's eat, and talk about business.”
“What kind of business Tony?”
“Fury asked me a while ago to modify these Heli carriers, but a couple hours ago he asked me to deactivate the boosters. I’m not sure why he would want to do that, but I want your help to figure out how to do it digitally without going in manually.”
“Seems easy enough.”
“So you’ll help me?”
“Sure. Anything to take my mind off Steve.”
We ate dinner, and afterwards Tony showed me what he was talking about. It didn’t seem too difficult to try and deactivate them virtually. That was till we got an error code, “this isn’t normal. It says we don’t have the authorization to deactivate the boosters.”
“On whose authority?” Tony asked JARVIS.
“Seems to be Nick Fury’s sir.” JARVIS answered.
“Something is not right. Either Fury did not give you those orders, or someone on the inside does not want these Heli carriers deactivated.”
“I may have a solution for that if something goes wrong. I had these made up in case the carriers were hijacked, and it looks like that may be the case,” Stark shows me these targeting chips, “these need to be placed in each Heli carrier for it to work, and the targets to switch.”
“You always think of everything don’t you?”
“I try. We just have to get these to Agent Hill, and get her to have Steve and Nat place them on those carriers.”
“I can deliver them to her if you want.”
“No. The whole point of him going on this mission was to test if you two could stand the tests of being away from each other, and still come back feeling the same way. So, you would compromise the test you both agreed to.”
“Fine. How is Hill going to get it then?”
“I’ll send it to her. Or more like JARVIS will.”
“Right. Do you really trust JARVIS to get it to her safely?” Just then my phone began to ring, so I excused myself for a minute. I looked down and saw that Steve was calling, “hello?”
“Hey, look I may be a little longer than I thought.” He sounded very shaken up.
“Steve, is everything alright?”
“It’s Fury. He’s gone.”
“What do you mean gone?”
“I mean dead, no longer alive, killed.”
My heart sank, and my stomach dropped at his words. Fury had hand picked me to become an Avenger, and now he was gone. I felt like this was a sign that he had made a mistake in the first place. Choosing me to be a part of this elite group of people, with me having little to no background experience with working well with others.
“Y/n, are you okay?”
“What happened? How did this happen?”
“An assassin shot him through the walls of my apartment.”
“Did you catch the person?”
“Almost, but he was a quick thinker. He caught my shield. He had this metal arm. I’m not sure if you could find anything on any record of an assassin with a metal arm, but whatever info you can find on this guy would bring us one step closer to catching him, and bringing him to justice.”
“I’ll do whatever it takes Steve.”
“Good. I’ll talk to you soon, okay?”
“Okay.” He hung up quickly after that. I walked back inside, and over to Stark. He could tell something was wrong, and I knew I didn’t hide that very well. I just couldn’t believe that Fury was gone.
“Is everything okay?”
“Fury. He’s...he’s dead…” I looked down as tears threatened to leave my eyes.
“Oh sweetheart,” Tony pulls me into a hug, “it’s gonna be okay. We’re here for you.” He stroked my hair to try and help me calm down.
“I can’t believe he’s gone,” I immediately stopped crying thinking about our previous conversation, “we have to get Agent Hill those targeting chips. We have to help them stop those carriers from launching, and we have to help them find the assassin who killed Nick Fury. That’s what I’m going to do. Do some research on the man that Steve described to me. I’m going to avenge Fury’s death.”
I walked out of there soon after. I headed home and began to do some research on the man Steve described to me. I had to find out who this man was. I called up every person I could. I worked well into the next day when I finally got a lead.
“We have something in the archives for you, but I’m warning you, going after him is not a good idea.” Agent May warned on the other end of the phone.
“Just lay it on me, agent.”
“He goes by the name of the Winter Soldier. He is credited with over dozens of assassinations over the last 50 years. He is highly dangerous, and I do not recommend going after him. No one really knows where he resides. You’re going to be chasing a ghost Y/n. I don’t think it’s worth it.”
“I’m going to do my best to help avenge Fury’s death. I will do all that it takes to find this elusive assassin.”
“Good luck then. Call me if you need any help.”
“Thanks Agent May, I’ll keep that in mind.”
I quickly hung up, and went to lay down. It had been a long day, and I just added extra work to my load. It was already almost 4am here, and I had yet to sleep. I closed my eyes thinking that I would only sleep for a little bit, but I ended up sleeping till 10am.
“Y/n! Where are you? I thought we were meeting for breakfast! It’s more like brunch now!” Tony shouted.
“Come on kiddo, where are you?” Clint asked.
“I’m in my room.”
I heard them both walk in, and sit on either side of my bed. I had completely forgotten about going out with them after Steve asked me to do some research on the guy with the metal arm.
“Are you feeling okay?” Tony asked.
“Yeah. I just didn’t go to bed till 4 this morning. I just wanted to sleep for a couple of hours, but I guess that didn’t happen.”
“Why did you stay up that late?” Clint looked at me and Tony confused.
“Research.”
“For?” He questioned.
“Trying to find the assassin who killed Fury.”
“That’s a suicide mission.”
“I know.”
“Come on, get up. We were supposed to be at the restaurant 30 minutes ago.”
“Okay, okay. Let me shower, then we can go eat.”
“At a girl.”
I roll my eyes at Tony’s comment before shooing them away. I then go hop in the shower real quick, and get dressed. I do a simple makeup look before going out to my living room, “I’m ready. Let’s go.”
“That was quick.” Clint spoke, kind of shocked.
“Just because I'm a girl, doesn't mean I take ten hours to get ready."
"Let's just go before you two end up sparring in her living room." Stark spoke up, heading to the door.
Clint and I followed him out of my apartment, and we headed to get breakfast. I let the two of them banter back and forth. I was still focused on this mysterious assassin. I didn’t touch most of my food, and that bothered Stark, or concerned him. Whatever the case, he stuck around my apartment afterwards.
“I sent those chips to Hill, so hopefully she’ll get them to Nat and Cap. You know, to stop the launch of those carriers.”
“Yeah. I just hope they’re okay. I can’t help but worry about them. I know that I’m not okay. Fury was the only reason I stayed, or that was till I met Steve. Fury took me in when no one else wanted me, and now he’s gone.”
“I know. I don’t know how to help you, but why don’t you come stay with me for a few days, or until Cap gets back. I think it may help you take your mind off things.”
“Thanks Tony, but I don’t want to intrude.”
“You’re not intruding. I insist. I don’t want you to be alone right now.”
I give a small chuckle, “is that worry I hear in your voice?”
“Laugh all you want, but I’m serious.”
“Okay, okay. Just for a few days.”
“Sounds good to me. Pack a bag, and let’s go.”
“Okay, I’ll just meet you downstairs.”
He smiles, and walks himself out. I grab a duffle bag and begin to pack a few outfits for the next few days. I was about to head downstairs when my phone started to ring. I picked it up quickly, not even looking at who it was.
“Y/n, it’s me.” A man’s voice spoke on the other end.
“Steve, hey. How’s it going?”
“Not good. Since Fury’s death, things here have not been going great. I wanted you to know I’m okay, but won’t be able to communicate with you until things get straightened out here. I’m so sorry. I wish I could say things will turn out okay, but I don’t know.”
“Hey, don’t worry about me. I’ll be okay. You get everything out there situated, I’ll still be here when you get back. Just to let you know I’m staying with Stark for a few days. He doesn’t want me being alone right now.”
“Thank him for me. He better keep you safe, and take care of you for me.” “I know he will. I’ll talk to you when you get back okay?”
“Okay. Please stay safe.”
“I will Steve. Plus, I’ll be with Stark. They’ll have to go through him before they get to me anyways.”
He chuckles on the other end, “I really needed that. Thank you. Talk to you soon okay?”
“Okay. Goodbye Steve.”
Our conversation ends, and I can’t help but feel there is more going on than what he is saying. I really hope everything is okay, and that he will be alright. I finished packing the rest of my stuff and headed downstairs. Stark sat in the car waiting for me. I just climbed in, and the car set off for the tower. I really hoped that things were okay back in D.C.

HOW TO TWITTER RP (A DETAILED GUIDE)
As per request, I’m about to tell you how to roleplay in the Twitter roleplay community if you’re interested in starting. This is just my take on Twitter roleplay, and I’m sure there are others with different methods. But I’ll try to break this down step by step with pIcTuReS because I fucking love pictures.
TLDR; (Because im lazy)
GENERAL
Alright so if you’re unaware what twitter roleplaying is it’s roleplaying via Twitter; though you’ll find all the roleplay mains on tumblr in the ‘twitter rp’ tag. Unlike tumblr roleplaying where you write in the third-person, for twitter roleplays you write in first-person. As it’s social media based your tweets come from a first-person perspective which means everything is ‘I’ based. However, it is not uncommon for people to roleplay out paras in the DMs just like how you’d write on tumblr.
Twitter roleplays are fast, everything is happening that day at that moment, opposed to tumblr groups where you may be doing a thread set a week ago. They’re great if you don’t have a lot of time, but still want to roleplay, or want to try out a more fast-paced environment!!
APPLYING
Honestly applying for a twitter group is pretty much the same as applying for an appless tumblr group.
Now something that I tend to see a lot in twitter groups (at least the last time I checked the tag like three months ago MNXBXNBX and from my experience running them) groups drop into the tag but often won’t have their app up for 1-3 days. During that time they’re basically just building hype and gathering an audience, so when they do open it’ll be a swAMP of apps coming in in the first hour. If you like playing a popular faceclaim (like me and Jungkook) I find I rarely manage to snatch him up before anyone else.
But the actual app itself is normally easy, a lot of the time it’ll be requested you submit it opposed to using the ask box (since they may be a little bit too long for it) so prepare for that!!
SETTING UP AN ACCOUNT
Once you’ve been accepted it’s common to be given 6-12 hours to get your account in. You may think this is a short period of time, but you can put together a twitter account in 20 minutes.
A common theme, that I’ve never really experienced is people getting locked out of new accounts, though from my history using an email and cell phone verification can prevent this. (if you include your cell phone number go into your twitter settings and disable letting people find you from your phone number) As well as people say not mass following a bunch of people all at once also helps, so only follow 20 people at a time (I’ve mass followed 60+ blogs and have been fine)
If it’s a new account (or an old one you haven’t touched in a while), just like a new tumblr blog you may not show up in peoples notifs!! You need to be active first, which is why you may see people posting “//notifs” before things are even open for plotting. This is perfectly fine and the only reason you should tweet beforehand!! If you notice you may not be getting any replies the first night this is likely why, which is why you want to post ‘notifs’ and like some stuff first.
Usernames
When it comes to usernames (your @) people typically play off their characters first name and try to make it funny or interesting. Some examples of my own characters past and present would be:
grayson2gayson
jacobgotjams
theSINinSINNER
Alliteration is a good approach!! Pick words that share the same first letter and it’ll run smoothly. Or sometimes people's names can be turned or related to other things like:
VANITYNOTFAIR
BEVERLYhillsbaby
There are also common name ‘starters’ you’ll see used like:
‘WTF’CARINA
‘STFU’DARREN
‘WTD’TYLER
‘GDI’JAKE
‘1800′MARTINO
Really it’s very similar to how names are set up on tumblr.
Display Names
Display names are a little different than usernames, they’re found above the username and is actually what people see first. A lot of the time people will put in memes, TV characters, inside jokes, quotes, song lyrics really anything. Two examples of display names from my own accounts are:
For one character I’ve chosen a play on his name for his display name that being ‘50 Shades of Grayson’, and for the other I chose a meme, which is ‘Do you take teardrops?’.
Really what you put in the display name can be anything.
Biographies
On every twitter account, you get a spot to put a biography this is where you can write a little blurb about your character, put in a quote, a joke, tell us their pronouns, and all that fun stuff. Though often if someone doesn’t know what to write for a bio you will see them just put “Bio for sale” as a little joke.
An example from one of my characters biographies which also includes the display name and username is as follows.
I just included a small amount of information about him, used the ‘location’ spot to include their pronouns, and then the website spot to link back to the main group.
Icons & Banners
Depending on what kind of group you’re in changes what kind of icon you may use. For instance, if you’re playing someone famous and rich you may use a shot from a photoshoot, or a magazine. But if you’re playing someone with a less glamorous job, it’s a bit more fitting to start out with a selfie or a candid picture of your muse. (Later you may break out the more HQ pictures, I find that happens a lot)
For example, if you’re in a less glamorous setting the picture on the right would be more fitting. While if you’re in a glamorous setting you can get away with more HQ pictures. (But tbh no one’s gonna question it either way, you’ll see people post photoshoot pictures for milestones a lot!!)
Banners can be anything, you can toss in a picture of a meme, an aesthetic (some people like to match their icons to their banners), if you’re in a ship it’s common for them to change their banner to a picture of the S/O.
Following the Main
Just follow them on twitter, sometimes people will send a little tweet with it like ‘// @.rpname character name has arrived’ or literally just “//@.rpname hi”. But for most all you have to do is follow the twitter main and they’ll follow you back, if it’s an unopened group they may not post a follow, but already opened groups always will!!
INTROS
Okay so you’ve gotten accepted and set up your account now it’s time for your intro. And intros change person to person, everyone has their own style!! I love graphics so mine occasionally are a little fancier, but not always!!
It’s also common to end off your post with ‘LMS to plot’ which just means if someone likes it you DM them to plot.
IMPORTANT: Do not post tweets or your bio before the main gives the go ahead!! (Aside from the ‘notifs’ tweets)
Option One:
No bio post, you just introduce yourself in a tweet saying something along the lines of
“//Hey my names Reed, I’ll be playing Grayson and i don’t have a bio but he’s a 20 year old solo artist who’s been around here for two years. They’re pretty chill and kind of over dramatic.”
Option Two:
The lists, since a lot of people roleplay on twitter only through their phone you’ll see a lot of bios posted through a note app where they write down some general info, sometimes in lists, sometimes in blurbs. It’s not uncommon for people to post their characters app in it.
Option Three:
As someone into graphics a lot of the time I find myself being extra and just making pretty intros. This is not at all required or expected, but if you want to do it, you can.
PLOTTING
Plotting goes along with intros, it’s extremely common for someone to have a wanted connections list, or just say ‘LMS to plot”. Which means you’ll go to the DMs to plot with them.
But there are also a decent amount of people who prefer chem over plotting, it all depends on what kind of person you are.
TWEETING
If the main as given the go-ahead to start tweeting then it’s time to think of your first tweet. Now as I stated at the very beginning of this, twitter roleplaying is done from a first-person perspective (with the exception of if you para in the DMs but we’ll talk about that later.)
When it comes to OOC tweets make sure to always start them with slashes ‘//’ (one or two whichever you prefer), this is just the way of showing it’s OOC.
A lot of people tweet for their characters, like they would for themselves. This is very common in twitter groups, everyone puts a little part of themselves in their muses. But it’s also good to find ways to separate them so you aren’t playing to OOC. As it’s not uncommon for people playing more of a self-insert to feel attacked over IC drama that is not OOC, just since they’ve invested so much of their personal self in them. I personally often play characters opposite to my personality IRL to avoid this, however, if you roleplay and put a bit of yourself into the character there’s nothing wrong with that!!
Your first tweet will always feel like the hardest, which is why I typically choose to reply to other people first to take the pressure off before posting my own. But this can really be anything you could say what they had for breakfast, post something funny, or just say ‘hi’, it’s honestly up to you there’s no wrong way to start. You can even post a selfie, typically most people do sometime in their first 100 tweets.
REPLY TO OTHER CHARACTERS TWEETS
This is so important, because one of the most common things I see is people who do not reply to other characters, but expect people to reply to them and then they start saying the group isn’t inclusive because they don’t have a lot of threads. But the first few days the dash is always super busy, meaning a lot of tweets will get lost in it, so don’t get sad if some of your tweets don’t get replies, not all of them will. So make sure you’re replying to other people, that’s how you build connections and stay included in the group!! If you ever see anyone posting to RPTs or sending anons to the main saying things are cliquey and you’re in your first 1-5 days, almost 100% of the time it is because they are not replying to enough things themselves!!
If you’re active, posting your own tweets, and replying to tweets you can get above 100 tweets in your first night. (I’ve gotten 500-600 on the first night before)
You may see a lot of ‘LMS for a DM’ posts too, which just means if you like it, they’ll send you a DM.
SUPPORT OTHER CHARACTERS
Do you see that selfie on the TL?? Go like and retweet it!! Even post a reply on it if you’re really feeling it this is a fast way to make friends. Also, retweet any milestone posts you see posted!! It’s always nice to get support on your own character, which means you need to do it for others.
Also you should get out of your comfort zone, roleplay with faceclaims you may not normally roleplay with, or characters you don’t know.
In the end you'll come to understand more how things work as time goes on, and typically very fast.
DIRECT MESSAGES (DMS)
There are two types of general messages in the DMs (well three, but I’m giving the third its own category)
The first is OOC messages, used to plot, or communicate with your partner. Much like OOC posts on the timeline, you want to always start this out with ‘//’.
Now for IC messages. These are written just as you would write for DMing as yourself, the only difference is you’re doing it IC. So here’s a fast example I made between two of my own characters to show you how it works. It really is very casual, and sometimes you’ll DM with people everyday, other times it may die out, it’s all about character chemistry.
PARAS IN DIRECT MESSAGES
So paras still do exist in twitter roleplays!! They just happen in the DMs opposed to on the timeline. Now there are two different ways of acting stuff out in the DMs and one of them is the para way (my personal preference) or some people kind of just talk it, which I’ll also explain.
When it comes to para’s, I’m not going to lie the most common times I see them happen is with ships, writing out dates or smut (no smut if yoURE A MINOR). Which you may lead up to happening through messages or hint at it, and then you just ask your partner
“//hey do you want to para this?” and typically they’ll say yes, sometimes people might be too busy. If this is the case you can just headcanon it OOC!! Which just means you discuss what may have happened.
So if you’re wondering what a para may look like, it could be something like this:
Now for the ‘talk’ version, it’s a little different, and I’m personally not a big fan of it, but if it’s my partner's preference I’ll do it. And basically you don’t write out the actions, you just hint at them in what they’re saying.
So an example of what that looks like is the following:
OTHER IMPORTANT SHIT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT
Milestones: Milestones are when you hit a big number of tweets, for example every hundred tweets. People often celebrate by posting pictures, or videos. Though I find once I pass 1K tweets I don’t do milestones for every hundred, but I at least do them for every 500.
Indirects: An indirect is when someone mentions your characters name on the timeline, this means that when you search the name and hit ‘from people you follow only’ you can see it. These are great for selfie captions, so if you see someone asking for an indirect, give them one!! An example of one would be if someone said ‘grayson is the wORST’, since they used ‘grayson’ I can find it in my indirects. When using this for a selfie caption you typically credit the person who said it with their @ for example if I made it my characters selfie caption I’d format it as ‘@.characterurl: Grayson is the wORST’. Notice the period to separate the @ from the username? This is so they aren’t actually are tagged and get stuck with your notifications for that post.
Quirk: Some people like quirk, some people don’t. Basically, it’s characters who post memes constantly, make a joke out of everything, and are just very extra. I find that a nice middle ground is the best place to be. Don’t let that be the only thing you post, and don’t be too quirky in serious situations. But a little quirk never hurt anyone!!
TWITTER RP LINGO
TL: Timeline
LMS: Like my shit/stuff/status
DN: Display Name
DP: Display Picture
DM: Direct Messages
RT: Retweet
BASICALLY THE DO’S AND DON’TS
Do:
Follow your group's rules!!
Run your plots by the admins!!
Reply to other people’s tweets (as many as you can, don’t be selective!!)
Post your own tweets!!
Retweet all selfies and videos you can
Be a welcoming person!!!
Don’t:
Expect people to reply to your stuff if you are barely replying to anyone else.
Take IC drama as OOC
Be a shitty person, avoid being racist, sexist, homophobic etc, etc.
Be cliquey
Guilt trip people for ships!!
Only look for ships / faceclaim hunt ships
Tag up on characters on the dash (if you see two people arguing don’t throw your character in, it’s overwhelming)
Turn people against other players characters. Even if you don’t like them, it’s not right to isolate someone like that.
Go to RPT blogs with your problems instead of the admins. You can’t solve problems that way, if you talk to the admins, they’ll try to help. RPT blogs can’t, which makes you part of the problem.
IN CONCLUSION
That’s it MNBVCXZ If I missed something you want to know, send me a message!!

Hey Liss, I really want to start a small horror group rp but I never ever done one on Tumblr and I'm scared of messing up. Could you give me some advice? Is running a group rp on tumblr too stressful?
First of all, I’m so sorry for the late reply!
The biggest factor in how challenging it will be to run a group is how much time you have to put into it. That’s not to say that if you go to school or work full-time you can’t run one, but if you don’t have much time to commit to being online, it can be a lot to handle. That said, it’s incredibly rewarding to watch a roleplay thrive!
The two most important parts of your group are going to be your plot and your graphics. I wish the second wasn’t the case, but how your roleplay (and your promo graphic) looks is a huge deal when it comes to drawing people in. Roleplays with ‘basic’ graphics, sadly, often find it difficult to gain any traction in the community. If you’re not great with graphics, you may want to consider getting a co-admin who is, or contacting RPHs who do those types of services. That said, a solid plot or location is what will make people stay. Your roleplay will need to be either plot-driven or character-driven. A plot-driven roleplay is going to be harder to keep up with, as you’ll have to provide lots of events and plot drops to keep the ball rolling. Character-driven roleplays can often take a little longer to set up, as you really want to make your location come to life by providing a history and places around town for people to set their interactions, but require less upkeep as the members create their own plots. For a horror group, chances are it’s going to be a little more plot-driven.
Setting up your blog can be one of the more stressful parts of running your own group. You want to make sure everything looks good, all of the writing is error-free, and the page is properly organized so viewers can find what they’re looking for. Below is a list of important pages your page should include and my advice for them.
NAVIGATION: It’s very, very important that your navigation be properly laid out. People aren’t going to want to join a roleplay if they can’t easily find everything they need to do so. Most roleplays divide their navigation into two sections–before applying and after acceptance. The first should include your plot, rules, characters, taken/banned face claims, wanted connections, and application. It should also include any other information you’d want people to know going into it, like locations around your town. The second should include your checklist, blogroll, trigger list, and OOC masterlist.
PLOT: This should be at the top of your navigation page and, ideally, directly linked from your home page. It shouldn’t be too long or too short, just a few paragraphs. Your paragraphs also shouldn’t be too lengthy–large blocks of text can turn people away.
RULES: The most important rules are as follows. Activity–most roleplays have an activity limit of 5 or 6 days. This allows members to balance RP with real life while still preventing too much inactivity on the dash. Characters–the number of characters you can have, the age requirements for characters/face claims if you have one, and whether characters can be on a multi-muse account or should have separate blogs. Drama/inclusivity–there should always be a zero tolerance policy for OOC drama, and rules in place to promote inclusivity such as requiring that members reply to at least 3 starters before posting their own.
CHARACTERS: This is where keeping up with a roleplay can start to get tricky. There are two types of RPs you may choose to go with–bio or appless. If it’s a bio roleplay, you need to make a graphic for and post the biography of every character. If it’s appless, you need to make sure that each time you get a new character, you update your character page. Either way, you’ll also need to keep on top of your taken face claims page. Many admins choose not to post a bio or add a character to their page until they’ve received the account for that character.
WANTED CONNECTIONS: This isn’t required, per se, but can inspire more people to join your roleplay. You should have a form for your members to fill out, and they’ll send in their wanted connections. That’s another thing to keep up with–you’ll have to put all of these on your WC page as well as remove taken connections, or edit connections that have 1 out of 2 or more muses taken (think bandmates, or multiple siblings).
APPLICATION: Your application should include, at the very least, the character’s name, age, gender AND pronouns, and face claim. Most choose to add positive and negative personality traits to their app. If it’s a bio roleplay, you’ll need to request a biography, either by simply stating ‘bio here’, or by dividing it up into sections. For instance, you can split it up into background, present, and personality, and include a paragraph or word requirement for each section if you’d like.
CHECKLIST: This should be the first thing in your ‘after acceptance’ section and should include everything your new member has to do after being accepted. This should include getting their account in within 24 hours, following everyone on the blogroll, tracking your tags, looking at your trigger list and sending in any triggers they’d like added, sending in wanted connections, asking for the OOC blog/Discord link, posting an intro for their character, and finally posting their first interaction. Speaking of tags to track–yours should include tags for character intros, starters, events, tasks, admin notes, and new blogs to follow.
TRIGGER LIST: Some basic triggers you should include: sexual assault, suicide/self-harm, eating disorders, blood, drugs, death, abortion, violence. You should also ask that your members send in any personal triggers that they’d like added, and this should always always always be kept confidential.
OOC MASTERLIST: You may choose to only include OOC information on your character page, but an OOC masterlist can be helpful when it comes to plotting. This lists each member’s name and which characters they play, and often includes other OOC info such as age, timezone, and pronouns. This way when plotting with someone, members can immediately see all of the characters the person they’re plotting with plays.
As mentioned before, graphics and theme are also very important. Your theme should be neat, organized, but ‘pretty’. Almost all themes are going to involve at least one graphic. The color scheme of your graphic(s) should closely match that of your theme so that everything looks coherent. If there’s more than one graphic, they should look nice together without being repeats of each other. You’ll also need to create a promo graphic to post in the tags. Note that you should create a sideblog to post your promo graphics, rather than flooding your main page with them. Your promo doesn’t have to look quite as similar as the others, since they won’t be shown side-by-side, but should still give off the same ‘vibe’. You’ll want to make sure to double-check all of the writing on your page for errors, click on all of your links to see that they’re working properly, and go through your navigation from the point of view of a potential member.
The next part is being a good admin. You should be able to get on almost every single day, even just for long enough to post something in the tags and empty your inbox. Admin activity is crucial to group activity. As soon as members see the activity of the main die down, they start to decline in activity or find other groups.
There are three key elements to promoting your roleplay. The first is through your promo sideblog and promo graphics. You should be posting these often enough that they regularly show up in the tags without being too overbearing. You’ll have to check the tags you choose and use some trial and error to figure out how often that is. {Remember that your post will only show up in the first five tags you put down.) The second is posts on your main. You can let viewers know a little about your roleplay, let them know you’re going to be around for a while, or just include a tidbit about your day. The same rules apply for how often to post these as with your promo graphics. The third element is requesting shoutouts from RPHs. This gets your RP back into the tags without having to put yet another post on the main, as well as gets news of your RP around the RPH community. Remember to always read the RPH’s rules, be polite (please and thank you), and use their name if it’s on the blog. You only have a certain amount of characters for your shoutouts, so make them count. Keeping on top of all three of these things can be difficult, but is incredibly important to running a successful roleplay. You need to make sure you have time to do this on top of your other admin duties. I’ve always found it easiest to take care of all of my other admin things first, then dedicate a chunk of time solely to promotion.
Keeping the main up-to-date is one of the most important things you’ll have to do. This includes your character page/biographies, taken face claims list, triggers list, wanted connections, OOC masterlist, and one more thing we haven’t mentioned yet. Something Tumblr has been doing lately is eating posts in the tags. That means even though you have a tag dedicated to your group’s starters, most of them won’t show up in the tag. As an admin, it’s your responsibility to keep track of all of the starters in your group and get them out to your members another way. Some groups choose to compile a list on their page, while others choose to creat a sideblog and reblog all of the starters there. Either way, this is very, very important to making sure all of your members are included. As an admin, I prefer to take things one ask at a time. New account comes in? Post the follow, add the character, add the face claim, onto the next one. Wanted connection? Put it on the WC page, post a new wanted connection on the main, onto the next one. I find that this makes it easier to keep track of everything than getting everything out of the inbox and then trying to go back through it all.
Because there’s so much to do, you may want to consider getting one or more co-admins to help you. At least to me, it seems like most RPs have around 3 admins. It is possible to run one yourself, but you can always try on your own and ask for co-admins if you’re having trouble. You want to make sure you stay on good terms with your co-admins and consult them about updates, events, and plot drops.
Speaking of events and plot drops, that’s another thing you’ll have to take care of. Plot drops and events keep the RP alive, and if you find that the RP’s activity is a little low, something like that can help. You don’t have to do it super often, but a few days every month or so dedicated to an event can be really fun. With a horror RP, you may also want to have plot drops here and there.
You’ll also have to deal with any problems that arise in your RP. If someone comes to you with a concern about another member, you’ll have to use your critical thinking and problem-solving skills to determine exactly what’s going on and what action you should take. If you notice that someone is only writing with one or two other people, you’ll need to address it to them directly. This part can definitely be stressful and nerve-wracking, but it’s an important part of being an admin.
One way to see how you can improve your RP is to ask RPHs for their opinions. The trick is you actually have to listen to them. If you’re repeatedly being told that your graphics need work, consider getting some help with them. If they point out a broken link or typo, you’ll need to fix it. Another way to improve is to check out other RPs! You definitely should not lift anything directly from another RP, but it can help you get a feel for how everything should be set up and what types of themes and graphics are ‘in’ right now.
I’m going to end this with a link to this amazing masterlist from rpthemehelper that includes multiple posts on every topic you could need help with. I’m sorry that this was probably way more than you were expecting to read, but I hope it helped some!

COLONY 22′S 2ND ANNUAL APPRECIATION AWARDS
Oh, how much could change in a year.
Alex Donovan remembered last year, as disinclined as he’d been to agree to be one of the three hosts for the night, how he’d watched the frantic decorating committee’ and thought: well at least I’m not one of those unfortunate fools.
And this year, well—he was very nearly one of those unfortunate fools. He wouldn’t go so far as to say he was one of a ‘committee’, but he’d been helping bring out boxes to the decorating team all ever-loving day, and several hours ago they’d begun asking his opinion on things and he’d declined to answer at first. But somehow, come 4pm, he’d found himself up to his neck in garlands and twinkle lights and about to be late for his afternoon training session.
When he walked into the auditorium after dinner (sporting black trousers, a white T-shirt and a deep blue blazer) he had to admit he was impressed. And maybe just a little proud. Because looking around, the room had truly been transformed. A lot of hard work and love had gone into it, clearly, and if nothing else, it would surely make Mitch beam. And Heaven bless that ever-optimistic, selfless man—he deserved at least that this season. It made any suffering on Alex’s part worth it, knowing the event was that much more likely to be the success that the original Calyset Head of House dreamed it would be.
What set this year apart from the last—aside from the Reformist-shaped elephant in the room—is that they’d gone full out traditional Christmas this year. Not wintery blues and silvers (a good thing, too, because it may have just been a throw back to the Modius’ Brink Tower reopening—not a failure by any means, but just a sore spot on the roof of the mouths of too many here), but instead, warm and boasting golds and reds and forest greens. Rich colours hung from the walls and pillars in thick tapestries and glowing lights. Ribbons and wreaths and candles sprinkled the room with a bursting festiveness, and not one, but three Christmas trees brightened up the room—even the damaged areas, rubble and broken seats simply became the contrasting foundation of effervescent decorations.
There was even mistletoe. In one or two surreptitious places, waiting patiently for unsuspecting victims.
Okay... so it did look a little like Christmas had thrown up all over the old theatre. But hell—if that was its worst flaw, they had nothing to complain about in their post-apocalyptic today.
People filtered in slowly, chatting and laughing and mingling about, making comments about their outfits, the decor... and Alex supposed that even those who thought the night a waste of time, at the very least, it couldn’t be said that it hadn’t already brought a certain atmosphere of light-hearted relief over the modest, island Colony. Even if just for a night.
At about a quarter after seven, the house lights faded in and out three times, a voice coming over the loud speaker to ask that people take their seats, as the ceremonies were about to start. Taking that as his queue (and Christ, he still couldn’t believe Mitch had asked him to do the opening speech this year—though somehow the fact that Alex had been convinced was less of a surprise, considering his track record with being unable to tell that man no, for just about anything) Alex politely excused himself from his conversation with Cambie, and threw Caelan a grin and a wink when he spotted him striding by with Isha and Clay. Left a smile and a light touch on Clayton’s elbow as they crossed each other’s paths.
And then he was trotting up stage steps, with people still settling into their seats. The lights dimmed, a spotlight panned over to him, and applause grew from the crowd. Chuckling, eyes cast down as he shook his head, he found his place at the podium:
“Good evening, Colony 22. I’d like to start off by saying thank you, to everyone who worked so hard to make this night happen—and that includes all of you who have participated just by being in attendance tonight. Truly, we appreciate it. Because it’s not just about the decorations or the preparation, the drinks or the snacks—though I’m sure the food and drink is the main reason most of you even bothered to show up,” he paused, grinning. “But it’s impossible to nurture a sense of community without all of you—the community. So thank you.” Another pause, and he pointed a wagging finger at Mitch in the second row. “And if nothing else, you can all go home knowing that you’ve put a shit-eating grin on that man’s face—which is apparently how I got suckered into opening tonight’s ceremonies. So while we’re at it, if any of you figure out how to say no to Mr. Douglas, please be sure to come by my office later and loop me in. Preferably before he asks me about doing this again next year.”
A warm, light chuckle from the audience, and with a smile, Alex continued. “Now, as you’re all aware, I’m not Mitch. I have no poetic to weave you about the trials and tribulations we face on a daily basis and how they bring us together in strength and unity. But that isn’t to say what he has said, and what this night now represents is not of value. In fact, I very much believe it to be true. In times such as these, in the face of change and conflict and rebellion, now more than ever it’s important to remember how we got this far. How we have survived, and how we continue to survive. Because we have not done it through selfishness, or greed. We have not accomplished as much as we have by functioning only as every person for themselves. We have gotten this far through cooperation and support. Through contribution and sacrifice, comfort and strength.
“I have been here next to three years now, and I have watched so many of you grow, and I am so proud of each and every one of you. What I think is too easy to forget in all of this, is that after what we’ve all faced, every day done is an accomplishment. Every day, we could choose to give up, to turn back, or throw in the towel. Rebuilding is hard. Starting over in the face of loss can feel impossible. So remember to take the time to recognize that.” He paused, threw a grin at the audience. “Well, look at that, I guess I did have some poetic to weave. Kindly blame Douglas for that too, would you?”
As the audience laughed again, Alex straightened, his tone lightening. “Alright, I’m not going to tell you too much about the awards themselves—I’ll leave that to our lovely hosts, whom I’m very excited to call to the stage and not just because then I can get the hell out of here. But before I do that, I’ll remind you that after the ceremonies there is a reception down at Catch 22, where they’ll be serving food and drinks, and I believe I heard a rumour or two about dancing and karaoke. For which I plan on making myself very scarce. But nevertheless, have an excellent time tonight, happy holidays, and congratulations on wrapping up another fantastic year.
“And now without further adieu—may I present your hosts for this evening: Orson Hurst, Elsa Copland and Mouse Quinley.”
A/N: AND SO IT BEGINS!!!
Well folks... Welcome to the last event of 2018! It has not just been a good year at Colony 22, but a spectacular one. I feel like we too, (much like our characters in verse,) have special cause for celebration—not only do we have our fifth year anniversary coming up, but this year has gifted us so many excellent, long-term members joining the family and exciting new plots, characters and development.
This event will punctuate the year with a bit of light hearted fun that we hope will lead nicely into an exciting 2019 at the Colony, which Lottie and I already have big plans for. We thank you all for being here, for your commitment, enthusiasm and love, and we hope you all stay with us here and continue to write and grow with us for a long time to come!
Now, most of the information you need about the Event Rules themselves I have already posted in detail and you can find here. Make sure you are familiar with them before starting, if you are new to events at the Colony. And if you’re not new, well, it never hurts to have a refresher!
A friendly reminder to send any questions you have about the event to the main blog ASK as we’d prefer to answer them publicly so the knowledge can be shared with everyone, as it’s likely that if you have a question, someone else may be wondering the same thing!
Remember too that this post marks the beginning of the first part of the evening: The Ceremonies only. You are welcome to RP anything that is leading up to the ceremonies, or during, but nothing past into the reception, until you see a post on the mod blog indicated the shift to the second part of the night, which won’t be until after (our real time) Christmas!
Over the next few days, you will see nomination and award reveals on the main blog, and as mentioned in the info post already posted (and linked above), you may continue old threads, or start new ones that are event related (self paras or graphics work too! Just remember that if you make any graphics in photoshop or anything send them to the graphics blog to be posted!)
Keep in mind that activity will still be monitored over Christmas. I still expect you to meet activity, and I still expect you to contact the main if you need an extension before I have to go chasing you down. The holidays are stressful enough—please do not send me on a wild goose chase. That said, I obviously get it: Holidays can be stressful and busy! So just let us know if you need an extension or hiatus!
I will do everything in my power to make sure all the awards are queued and posted promptly and when they’ve been promised—but if something comes up, things may shift a little here and there—nothing that should have too much of an effect though. The Reception will hopefully be triggered sometime between the 27th and 29th, depending on schedules.
Alright, I believe thats all I got for now! But happy holidays everyone, and enjoy! The first awards post will likely roll out here in a few hours!
Much love,
xxPapa!Mod

110 in the Shade
I decided to make it as pleasing as possible for myself to just profile each musical in alphabetical (and numerical? hence 110 in the Shade) order, starting with a gorgeous classic, 110 in the Shade.
Background Info
This is a musical that opened just after the Golden Age. It’s kind of in that area of musicals that people don’t really know how to refer to. Others in the area are a lot of Bock and Harnick musicals, like Fiddler on the Roof and She Loves Me, also, Jerry Herman favorites, Mame and Hello, Dolly!
Writers
The show has music and lyrics by the team of Harvey Schmidt who actually died exactly a week after my 18th birthday and Tom Jones who did not die exactly a week after my 18th birthday. Schmidt and Jones wrote other works together including, The Fantasticks (one of the longest-running shows in history), and the marriage profile, I Do! I Do! starring the likes of Robert Preston and Mary Martin (with a low Db), who were quite the duo, if you’d ask me. The book was by N. Richard Nash, who actually wrote a play called The Rainmaker, that was produced a few years prior.
Da System
The way I’m going to do this is that I’m going to write while listening. I’m always going to include the cast recording I chose to listen to.
Side note: Most of the time, I’m going to choose especially with classic musicals cast recordings that I feel have the best voices. ALSO, while I do listen to the entire show, I’m gonna just talk about highlights.
Who’s Singing?
For 110 in the Shade, I decided to go with a studio recording from 1997, starring Karen Ziemba as Lizzie Curry and Ron Raines as Bill Starbuck.
Time to dig into this loaded show.
Let’s Do This
For a while, I listened to the recording with Audra McDonald (one of my favorite voices of ALL time, period) as Lizzie, but eventually, I noticed that they transposed a lot of songs for her. Which by all means is okay although a bit surprising for a soprano, but I wanted to hear the way it was intended. I also wasn’t the biggest fan of Steve Kazee’s voice as Bill Starbuck (choppy vibrato), so I searched for a recording for something that is true to the original material, but recent. Thankfully, this recording served everything I was looking for. Another thing that’s funny listening to Karen Ziemba sing this instead of Audra McDonald are these two things: When I think of Karen Ziemba, I think of her phenomenal dancing and the fact that she’s an alto. When I think of Audra, I think of her amazing acting and the fact that she’s a soprano. It’s funny to me that they had Karen Ziemba do the part. Maybe, she was a soprano back in the day. However, despite her alto-ness, she really has quite the range and went OFF in this recording. Very pleasantly surprised.
As I listen to the score, I can say that it is incredibly picturesque. The Overture is both riveting and solemn. It reminded me a lot of Rossini’s William Tell Overture with the whole Morning section mixed with some Fireball. The orchestra is phenomenal. The orchestrations are very lush; something like a mattress that eats you up, but doesn’t make you sink. It’s very full for such a Western-esque score, and it’s perfect to me. It’s a lot like Copland’s Rodeo.
During the opening number, you find out from the Greek chorus (kinda) of townspeople. There’s a drought and it’s gonna be Another Hot Day. The opening number is special because it introduces many themes that happen all the way through the show. The interesting thing is that they introduce them in a way that it doesn’t get annoying to the listener. The motif is formed in many different ways all the way through the show. Also, most of the singing in this number is unison or counterpoint between the men and the women on different themes. The unison singing (while it can be beautiful at times) really gives you that bored sense of I Don’t Care What Happens Today Get Me a Palm Tree I’m Hot.
“Lizzie’s Comin’ Home” is very fun and gives you something you don’t get to hear as much. A trio between three men ("Sincerely, Me" anybody?), Lizzie’s father, H.C. Curry, and her two brothers, Noah and Jimmy. Nice harmonies at the end, and definitely something that could be performed in a concert/cabaret setting.
A few things happen: Lizzie gets her “I Want” song, addressed to Love, so she can get her a mans. The dudes sing about poker and stuff (which is actually a fun number, and a great example of a “Blow High, Blow Low” male ensemble number).
Then the male lead is introduced. Bill Starbuck(s)(?) claims to be a rainmaker (what about a coffee maker? wow now I need caffeine). He leads all the townsfolk in a SUPER DUPER FUN ensemble number that I honestly love, simply titled “The Rain Song”. It’s so exciting and something that you can listen to to get your blood pumping. WOW Ron Raines’ voice. Ooft. Love it.
“You’re Not Foolin’ Me” is a fun duet between Lizzie and Starbuck where they are doubting each other to the point that it’s comical, sort of Beatrice and Benedick meet “Anything You Can Do”.
“Raunchy” is the ultimate definition of a hoot. I don’t need to say anything else. Just watch Audra McDonald do cartwheels at Radio City Music Hall.
“Old Maid” serves as Lizzie’s nervous breakdown that she truly might never find love. She’s just met this guy who she thinks she might like, but she’s not sure, because she’s never really had a chance before, and now he comes along and she doesn’t know what to do, so she just resorts to imagining the thought of being alone forever. This is a fantastic example of amazing songwriting, from changing meter, repeated themes, chord voicing, orchestrations, character arc, everything. This is a great example of a song to give a superstar Soprano who has some fantastic acting chops.
Act Two traditionally opens with an ensemble number *squeals in excitement* called “Everything Beautiful Happens at Night”. It gave me some “Clambake” vibes, as it was written in waltz time, and has some really beautiful and interesting harmonies that just fed my musician soul like I had some Cracker Barrel. Then there’s a fun dance routine with either tapping or softshoe that sounded like tons of sweat, or as my high school theatre teacher called it, success.
Starbuck gets a really nice solo called “Melisande” which is a sort of tale he tells Lizzie. I’ll have to listen again to get specifics yikes but y’all know.
“Simple Little Things” is a nice little (kind of redundant, but still beautiful and necessary) solo for Lizzie.
Kristin Chenoweth made a little appearance in “Little Red Hat” which is more or less of a throwaway duet with one of Lizzie’s brothers, whom she is dating.
The Finale culminates in an enormous celebration by the ensemble when the rain finally comes and the temperature drops from 110 while they’re in the shade to a melancholy 100 in the shade. RIP I guess. The number has some fun A-flats for the Tenors and Sopranos. An interesting ending to a genuinely fun show.
Audition Songs
Cool thing about future posts. Most of the shows that I post about, I have access to vocal scores for, so if you’d like PDFs of songs for auditions or anything, just let me know, and I’d be more than happy to send to you! YouTube links will be posted with the title of the song.
Regarding this show in particular, while I mentioned that this is not in the Golden Age, per se, this is still a perfect show to take to an audition that asks for a Golden Age song.
“Love, Don’t Turn Away” - Lizzie, D4-F5
The song has a charming quality. Good idea for auditioning for a Rodgers and Hammerstein show, like Cinderella. It’s for a Soprano, but can easily be sung by a Mezzo, as it doesn’t go too high.
“Raunchy” - Lizzie, G3-Ab5
This song is so so so so so funny. Coincidentally, this would also be good for a Rodgers and Hammerstein/Bock and Harnick/Lerner and Loewe audition. Maybe something along the lines of Amalia Balash or Eliza Doolittle. The song is for a soprano. The situation is that she’s explaining to her dad how she’s gonna get her mans. There are some harmonies at the end between her and her dad that could easily be cut for an audition. That’s where the high Ab happens, so if you choose to cut the section where they sing the “Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo”s, the song goes up to a G5, which is only a half-step difference.
“Old Maid” - Lizzie, B3-G5
This song is featured in the infamous The Singer’s Musical Theatre Anthology: Soprano, Volume One. Disclaimer: I’m not hating on the series of books; I’m hating on the idea that many voice teachers across the country simply choose the same songs for their students to sing. While this is in the anthology, It is more of an unpopular one. Which is good *maniacal laugh*. This is a great song to show your dramatic acting ability, ladies. It’s an awesome song to take to a Weill or Bernstein audition because of its opus nature, but also it’s great to bring to an audition for the composers and roles mentioned in the above paragraph. This is a fantastic song.
“Melisande” - Starbuck, G2-G4
This song is pretty range-y, but it’s a story-telling song. It’s a good song to have fun with. Very appropriate for a Baritone or Tenor.
“Simple Little Things” - Lizzie, B3-E5
Not much to say about it other than I think it’s really pretty. Starbuck has a weird line at the end you can cut if you use it.
To Wrap It Up
This is actually a really fantastic show. I love the plot. Lizzie really grows up over the show, and shows that even people who are a little silly can find love too. This show is a really good choice for high schools. You can cast it as big as you need by adding to the townsfolk. Not sure if they have a lot of individual lines, but it could be solved easily. The revised version, offered by Tams-Witmark only has twelve characters. Crizzazy. I know the original version, also offered by Tams-Witmark has a similar get-up, but gives the option to add more to the ensemble. If you’ve got a dynamite soprano who can act really well, this is the way to go. It’s a very accessible show, and something that could really bring a group of people together.
Get it.

Persona 5 Project Update
Hey everyone! Since we’re here anyway, we thought we’d give you all a quick update on the status of our upcoming work!
I know we vaguely mentioned that more info on a Persona 5-related project would be forthcoming last month, but, well... life kind of happened. A lot. You know how it is.
We’re hoping to be able to make a more official announcement by the new year, but for now... here are some slightly more concrete details we can share!
We do have an outline for the script already! And a really massive one, at that - the combined word count for the main script and the confidant scripts exceeds 25k words in itself. (For comparison, the original outline for P4YA was only a few thousand words, and the final script was around 70k!)
We can tell you that the format of this game will be a lot different than P4YA was. While P4YA was more like a visual novel, we’re hoping to recreate the feel of the P5 overworld as much as possible (within reason, as we’re still working with Ren’py).
Not only are we aiming to recreate the day-to-day feel of P5, but we’re absolutely planning on including confidants for the player to work on as well! If all goes according to plan, there will be five of them available in the game: four that have the option to end in romance (or not, if you so choose!), and one that is strictly platonic. As for the characters involved, well, you might just have to use your imagination for now! ;)
Even besides the day-to-day activities and the confidants, there is still so much more that we plan on doing with this game. We want it to be far beyond just a vehicle to do... certain things... that couldn’t be done in P5 itself (which I suppose is a massive clue about the contents of the confidants, but that’s all right). We want to tell a story, and we want to make it a really good one - so suffice to say there is going to be a meaty plot to the game as well!
All of that being said, we’re painfully aware that this is a much more involved and ambitious project than P4YA was... but even if it takes us a very long time, even if more delays come up (we’re just a small group of people with lives outside of this, after all!), we are absolutely determined to see this through. Both Persona fandom as a whole and all of the supporters of P4YA in particular have been really, really kind to us, and for that reason alone, we are firmly resolved to make this project a(n eventual) reality.
Thank you for reading, and we hope to have more news for you soon! ♥
#persona 5#p5#i can't say enough what all the support from you all has meant to us!#thank you all so much again for all the love and patience!

don’t read this i’m trash
hello loves, i’m diana, 19, and live in est! i made this a multi-muse blog because i’m muse trash and will probably end up having other characters so stay tuned for that lmao. anyways, this is my bb girl catalina. i have her backstory over here if you wanna know some of that. if you’d like to plot, give this post a lil like or just send me a quick chat.
her real father is a marquis and her real mother is a servant. she doesn’t know this tho. the people who took her in didn’t have any other children so she was the only child
she goes right, left, down, up, it doesn’t even matter ya girl likes everyone. but js, she has a preference for girls but still
she’s from spain and is a handmaiden for the royal family so all you spanish royals hmu tbh
she’s also an assassin so there’s that lmao. most of the info about that is explained in her bio but long story short, her father was killed, her mother trained her to find his killer, and blah blah she’s just basically continuing her mum’s legacy
since she’s an assassin, she’s pretty much adept to many different kinds of weapons, tho she usually relies on hand to hand combat and knives. before she was trained for this whole thing she was studying medicine n science so she knows a lot about poisons and that whole sha bang
catalina tends to use her job as a handmaiden to her advantage bc it gives her access to a lot of regal people so most of the time, when people hire her, they’re targeting someone of a more higher status
ok so she’s two-faced as hell. i guess it kinda depends on how much you mean to her but if you’re nothing more than a “good friend”, she probably won’t hesitate on killing you. most of her loyalty is towards herself and to a certain spanish royal bc she’s been their handmaiden for the longest and has actually grown very fond of them, that’s a wanted connection btw.
she appears to those above her like any normal servant would. she holds her tongue, chooses her words carefully, and avoids making eye contact. all of that is just a facade, though. she’s most definitely not afraid to speak up and glare at someone, no matter their status. she’s basically an actress playing a role in a movie if u think about it

Congratulations KRIS! You have been accepted as Alexandra Jackson. Please go through the checklist and send in your account within 24 hours. If you need more time, make sure you send a message to the main.
It was an easy choice, apart from the fact that you were the only application we had for her, but so far, Kris, you have an amazing grasp of the Wolf Princess of New York City. How you have plans for Alexandra despite knowing the torment of how it’s the character that develops themselves, you already have ideas that can branch not only your character, but so many others. Alexandra is someone almost everyone relies on, from the supernatural, the Resistance, the human community.. There’s already one big, bad pack running the streets of the city, and to see another one developed in the way she sees it by a character that is vital to New York, what can we say? We’re excited, point blank. Whether it’s her helping the supernatural community, or finding herself amongst both humans and supernaturals, seeing your Alexandra is something we can’t wait to see and be apart of. Welcome to Elysium!!
OOC INFO
Name: Kris Age: 23 Timezone: EST Preferred Pronouns: She/Her/Bae Previous RP Experience: [RFP] Activity Level: When I first get into a roleplay there really isn’t anything that can tear me away. I get super invested and if I am not home and at work I am usually at least writing replies for when I am able to submit or just stalking the dash. I probably will be on a little bit too much to be honest. Anything Else: N/A
IC INFO
Character Name: Alexandra Jackson Why did you choose this character:
I saw she was on your wanted list and her faceclaim is one of my absolute favorites. I used Teresa when I was doing my indie blog and with the way her character is written I can really see myself making plans for her with her job and etc. I was also a bit unsure of what species I wanted to play with in the beginning and reading through her bio I could easily see myself playing as a werewolf. I have played character similar to her before as well so I know it is something I can pull off.
Describe your plan for them:
I may not go all out on the whole pack thing right away, I do plan on keeping her alone and the sole person of her fathers pack for a bit. If the situation arises of there needing to be a stand for whatever reason I can see her backing it if she thinks it will better her position. I can see her taking in lone wolves that need help and not calling it a pack in name but essentially they would be her to protect like her father would have wanted her too.
For her job sake I can see her as an avid fighter for the idea that not all murders have to do with the supernatural. I think one of my first few starters will be her focusing on how to balance her job with finding the truth with certain cases and try not and be discovered as a wolf in the first place. Also I really want to work in the temper thing her and there, like little moments where she does snap a bit. Nothing too major at first but maybe it will lead her asking for help from a fellow wolf to contain it better.
Sorry if this isn’t too in-depth, I am more of a feel for how the plot goes kind of writer so I usually write with whatever little thing is going on with the group and how my character would react to it.
Describe your character’s feelings and reactions to the initial reveal of the supernatural world:
Alexandra was beyond lost and angry, with the death of her father as well as the death of her life as she knew it, it would be hard to bounce back from. That would never stop her though, as when she was with her pack she would push herself to prove that no matter the outcomes she would find a way to survive and even if she doesn’t end out on top she wouldn’t be one of the ones lagging behind. She knew that she would have to fight for her rights to live in the city she grew up in. Alexandra knew that running was never an option and she refused to turn her back on her home. She deserved the right to live just as any other person did, human or not.
Describe your character’s feelings and reactions to the current state of the world, and how it impacts them as an individual:
With the way that things have presented themselves after all the falling of the councils as well as the disbandment of the pack Alexandra knew that the smartest thing to do would be to bow her head and push through. Go to school, work hard for a living, and bide her time for when she can show everyone the truth, supernatural didn’t equal crazed murders and being human didn’t mean you got to make the rules for everyone else. There is a lot of resentment in her for the way that the world is right now but she wont give up on trying to make her life better as well as whomever is in her life.
Finding a cause in the Resistance gave her something more to direct her anger into and helping the community gave her more of a focus besides working.
Para Sample:
Alexandra sat perfectly still as she watched the door to her office. Any moment the parents of the recent victim would walk in and she would have the unpleasant job of explaining to them what had happened to their son to cause his untimely death. She liked to think it helped that she had many experiences with death through out her life, it went back and forth from being an old friend that would stop in or a rude stranger that had come to rob her of something else. Her mother and father’s death were more the latter and she liked to think that she was more cold and calculated thinking of death because of it……..but even still she couldn’t help but flinch away from seeing someone that barely had the chance to experience life laying on the metal table.
She looked down at the notes that the medical examiner had past on to her. The case was a higher priority then most due to the victims age, just turned a ripe seventeen, and there had been a lot of rumors of supernatural involvement. She wasn’t surprised, most of the murder cases these days political figures tried to push as the crazed supernatural beings lashing out and killing whomever and whenever they wanted. They wanted results fast with anything that might slightly be involved, and if the victim happened to be one of the crazed beings the news would shine a light on it that would seem like the world was better off. It made her stomach turn and her blood boil. Both unlucky and unlucky for this case it seemed that the victim, her eyes glossing over the name to prevent herself from thinking about him more then need be, had died due to a heroin overdose. The pictures showed clearly that the marks on the skin were track marks and not in fact vampire bites. Even still the press was pushing it down everyone’s throats that the boy had been taken from this world by the evil creatures. Now she had the job to convince these people that it was the boys poor life choices that lead to the event. Something she didn’t think his parents would take too easily. A knock brought her out of her thoughts and she cleared her throat, “Come in.”
Any questions/concerns/things you’d like to change: (siblings to add, pronouns, sexuality you’d like to specify, personality, face claim, history, etc., etc.)
Not that I can think of. I am really open to any plot suggestions that you may have in mind. Or anything really that I may need to change about my idea of the character. Thanks!
