Someone they can't stand: Ngl though Pina cares about Kanna, she also is a source of frustration for her. She doesn't have memories of her time alongside Kanna in her past life, so Kanna's familiarity gets on her nerves. She doesn't like being read so well by someone she doesn't know herself, and she's always taken pride in curating an image for others. Kanna looking beyond that is positively annoying!

Someone she lost: Also Kanna! -7- though she doesn't realize it or even care much...and in a way they are still around one another. Their relationship is just very different. Kanna is close yet strangely distant. She provides for Pina and obviously adores her, but emotionally, she seems to try and be reserved.

Source of trauma: her childhood was a big source of trauma, being treated like dirt simply due to her being a half elf. It made her very determined to change the way people treated her ...

misako is a character that I always wished got more screen time and development. like I wish lloyd's initial hurt was more drawn out. not even in a lloyd doesn't forgive her sense, but in a, lloyd forgives her (because he's lloyd and he has to be the kind of person to forgive and forgive and forgive because of his dad) but just because he forgives her doesn't mean they click instantly. I want a few scenes where the hurt continues to fester because forgiveness comes easy but healing takes time.

like just a few scenes where lloyd unintentionally throws the abandonement in her face because he's a kid and he's not entirely sure how to process his anger healthily yet (it's a skill he never truly learns as he simply learns to repress his anger until it grows and grows, and his oni blood begins to overwhelm him). but also moments where neither of them are sure about how to exist around each other. lloyd uncertain about how to accept maternal love when he's spent so long without it, and a part of him still hurts over the abandonement even when he understands why. and then misako wanting to make up for lost time and shower him in love but not knowing how to bridge the gap her leaving created.

I know it was never gonna be something they covered because it's a kids show, but like mannnn does my body crave seeing it.

i saw someone say that they started liking amber more once she stopped being mean to her teammates and reappeared as wilson's girlfriend and. man.

the episodes where she's fighting for the fellowship are some of my favourites of her because of the way she is. she might be mean, cutthroat, a bit unhinged but hell if we're only talking about her actions and the way she acts towards the oher fellows she's basically a saint compared to house. i love her because she's like that, tho i do like how she mellows a bit after getting with wilson but is still herself.

in the show, her role is to be essentially "the female house" who can date wilson, conniving, seemingly with no regard for anyone's wellbeing, (basing her self-worth on being right, caring so fucking much despite not wanting to) etc. if you don't like her being "mean" or manipulative, you should consider why that is (especially if you love house) because she was literally written to be very similar to him!

It's eternally a little funny whenever I see someone say something along the lines of 'everyone in Strive is so happy now! Everyone's stories are getting resolved! It'll be hard to make a new game when everyone's retired and living peacefully and resolved their problems' and then there's a haunted semi-sentient mecha corpse in the corner constantly screaming from being trapped in limbo

honestly i think my only beef w mouthwashing and why it didnt hit for me is i was bored by the fixation on jimmy and curly. its a game abt anyas assault but shes barely in the game at all. her trauma is a prop to explore these male chracters complex relationship which i get yes is to illustrate how people enable harm doers and abusers but like. i dont rlly care that curly enabled jimmy bc he liked him and they were BFFsFL u kno like. their story was boring. anya didnt feel like a person and ahe didnt feel nearly as fleshed out as the others. i kept forgetting her name and calling her shelly duvall but a lot of her story happens off screen. which isnt to say i wanted her assault on screen its more to say why isnt she anything outside of her trauma? shes not nearly as humanized or fleshed out as the others and we r fixated on the abuser and whats going thru his mind and how the other men enabled him to go as far as he did. i think that we couldve even had a meaningful narrative about that while still treating anya like a human and still letting her be more of a character and less of a prop to talk abt sexual assault. am i making sense???

I am obsessed that Jedi: Survivor explores Cal more or less slipping into the dark side/dark behaviors and patterns and how leaning into emotion as a Jedi can make you significantly more powerful though also extremely reckless and aggressive - however a balance could perhaps be reached by Jedi with the patience and support to understand their darker emotions and how it could be beneficial or harmful given the situation. But they fr don’t. Every time something within that vein happens to Cal everyone is like damn… crazy. Anyway

This week on extrapolating TGAA too much I'm gonna yap about Lady Baskerville's social status and how "Lady Baskerville" is never actually her name

So in Hound of the Baskervilles, the Baskervilles are baronets. That's so low on the rank of nobility that it's not always considered nobility at all, it's considered "landed gentry" which lines up with Genshin referring to her as a "lady of the gentry". (That said some nobles also hold baronetcies, and assuming Klint was say, an earl, his wife's title would be Dowager Countess following his death, and she'd still be called Lady van Zieks. I imagine Genshin was trying to at least offer some plausible deniability about her identity)

The Baskervilles in HOUN don't seem to have other titles though, and baronets/baronetesses are referred to by Sir/Dame and then their first name, like Sir Henry and Sir Charles, Sir Hugo Baskerville.

Lady Baskerville's family (and the Baskervilles in HOUN) however are EXTREMELY rich. Balmung's collar is estimated at 1000 pounds. 1000 POUNDS IS INSANE IN MODERN MONEY LET ALONE VICTORIAN MONEY.

In HOUN this is the amount Sir Charles Baskerville leaves in his will to a friend. It's also the amount he leaves to Mr. and Mrs. Barrymore, his house staff. It's barely a dent in his money. The full Baskerville estate is worth an insane amount:

All of which Lady Baskerville has at least some access to, with Klint receiving the dog collar.

So Klint married a very rich woman, but i think it's also true he married someone of far lower status than himself (though her money likely made up for it and I truly can't imagine Klint as someone who would've given a shit. Are YOU going to insult Lord van Zieks' beautiful bride? The guy who killed 4 people via dog? The dog HER solid gold 1000-pound collar is on? I don't think so)

Personally I headcanon Lady Baskerville as a baronetess— a very rare title since it requires a woman to inherit the baronetcy herself. There have only been 4 baronetesses in history. In addition, the sister or daughter of a baronet is not entitled to be called anything other than their name. Meaning "Lady Baskerville" is just Miss Baskerville. A commoner, functionally.

Upon her marriage to Klint, she becomes Lady van Zieks. A lot of people headcanon the Van Ziekses as earls, making Lady van Zieks a Countess.

As a side note she's also never actually called Lady Baskerville in game but I think it's fun we collectively used her maiden name instead of her married name and that's what her wiki page says
