RIDICULOUS. this was so big that even with tumblr's recently expanded image limit i still had to weld every other image together to fit it into one post, but if you want to see every image in its full glory, i made a page for it on my website (jankily hand-coded and probably not very mobile friendly).

it was so fun to see which elements stuck around and for how long. i still can't believe the skeleton got banished and then resurrected 15 iterations later!

In the chilhood friends au, would Jayce become a Councelor? And if he do, would he be more of Silco's side or would he seek his advice?

I imagine Jayce asking a lot of questions to both Vander and Silco because he wants to understand Zaun, his favourite person (Viktor) is from Zaun so he wants to know.

I haven't actually thought that far ahead in that verse. But I do rather like in any verse where Viktor is more connected to Silco and Vander that Jayce gets to have at least a short stint on the Council.

The reason for it is because of by Viktor having a connection to Silco it means Jayce has a connection to Silco (or rather Silco has a connection with Jayce). And in this verse that connection is established much earlier because of Jayce and Viktor's friendship (because, again, if Jayce can get letters to Viktor then Viktor is begging Silco to let him have playdates with his new friend and Silco is not actually amazing at saying no to his kids and this isn't something Vander will say no to for them both). I don't think Jayce is as much a puppet councilor like Silco would want him because Jayce is actually rather moral and anti-corruption.

However I do think he definitively more listens to Silco than a lot of the other councilors do and will at least investigate the claims Silco is making about the parts of Zaun being in need of money being put into them. And because Viktor has a very alive and demanding family in Zaun (that Jayce of course wants to get to know because family is important to him) Jayce has visited Zaun a lot more than he does in canon and so has seen with his own eyes how much Zaun needs money and support to resolve the massive inequality between the two halves of the city. And also, yeah, grows up asking Silco and Vander a lot of questions about Zaun so he can learn more about Viktor and his culture. Questions that they answer honestly.

The frustration on Silco's part is that Jayce also then creates projects that he oversees to ensure the money is spent effectively for the designated use it's given (partially because he can then be helping to build something even if it's not being done by his hands - it's probably his favourite part of his job). While Silco a little bit more wants a blank check that he can use how he sees fit to help Zaun. There is no ability to skim a bit off the side to funnel into side-projects and weapon-caches for the long-term goal of independence.

That is one of the most unique crochets I will ever make just for the fact that I would not have otherwise made it (regional variant whose original variant I'd already made) (shiny) and it's really cool to see it out in the real world being actually appreciated!! I hope you enjoy being able to like, hold its little limbs and twirl its massive poofy hair, because those are things that can't be expressed through screen and I'm glad you have it in person!!

It's alright about my Patreon era. It was a good learning experience for me I think, in retrospect. I'm glad it was at a time where I didn't actually end up /so/ direly in need of money. It was close and scary at the time tho lol. I appreciate you so much for the support then and now 💗💗💗
