world building tamaran from the ground up has taught me a lot about societies... because i used to think tamaran would have been a great system to blueprint for a utopian planet. on the surface level, it has really good hallmarks for greatness... but then they send their children off world to train for a war they don't understand, usurped & replaced the throne of a child with her sister & shunned her to the point of hatred, they are so deeply embedded in religious / scientific / magickal psychosis that it's hard to pinpoint where exactly their prejudice towards other lies... and then... the planet fell so.

hi friends. sorry for my absence. i was out having fun until i wasn't. and now i am here to embarrass myself.

i had what was supposed to be a regular check up with my specialist today that didn't go very well. long story short, i have to have a small procedure here in two weeks that's gonna put me out of work for a few days, which would be fine if it wasn't for the fact i used up all my PTO after getting an infection a little while back, and my job doesn't give sick pay/time.

i'm sure things will be fine (though my jaw already hurts at the thought of what this bill might be if insurance doesn't cover it) but if you guys would like, you could support me here (:

i post pretty regularly if i can manage, and you'll also get early access to my works. right now i have the next chapter of "you're an angel // i'm a god" as well as the first couple chapters of a ghost x fem!reader story that hasn't been posted to tumblr or AO3 yet!

my ideal timkon don't get together until they've both already done some queer realizations and dated other guys a little bit, in part because on tim's end, i think he's been in love with kon since he was 17, but at 17 tim didn't even know he was bisexual, forget anything else. and his feelings for kon were so big but also so constant that he didn't even realize they were there or significant because they've always been there and been huge. for years. so he putters along and does his time in the torment nexus (the closet) and languishes a bit but slowly starts to figure it out.

meanwhile kon dates someone, mostly like omg im dating a guy this is ALLOWED !??!?! and its pretty lowkey and casual and doesnt last bc like . super identity issues, right. kon would Never just tell someone, but secrets and casual relationships dont last long etc etc. but just the entire principle of kon dating someone and then being like yeah idk im not really feeling it like hes nice and all but i think hes more interested in like… yknow, my hot bod, than me. its whatever tho. and tim just being SOOOOO mad that someone would date kon and not absolutely adore him. tim will not be unpacking why hes so mad about kon having a shitty boyfriend. obviously its just bc kons his bestie and deserves better. Menelaus rambles a lot about not only Helen, but also Hermione. About how she used to say Olive like "Olifs". How she lost her first tooth running too fast and running into a low branch while out with Helen. How he'd sometimes wake up to Hermione leaning over him and poking his face to say, "Dad, can we go see the horses?" even though it was barely daylight. literally cannot stop thinking about this page btw. 'he didn't intend to hide it from you forever but it was too much to share with you at such a young age' but why didn't Shiba himself tell Chihiro sooner? he's old enough now to learn how to fight and to kill and to hunt down the stolen blades, but not to know the truth about what those weapons were used for?? once again we have this weird contradiction between Shiba wanting to protect Chihiro and his memory of his father and Kunishige's legacy while simultaneously allowing & enabling him to pursue this violent, dangerous quest for vengeance. this information about the Malediction & the enchanted blades could have even been helpful to that mission from the start but revealing it would have meant shining a light on a side of Kunishige that hurts Chihiro to see—not because he blames him, but because he knows he lived with the weight of the same guilt Chihiro himself is amassing and repeatedly resigning himself to hell for. at this point Chihiro has both seen & experienced what living with that guilt can do to a person, and while Shiba softens the blow by telling him truthfully how much his very existence helped Kunishige, I can't imagine this doesn't just. haunt a person. and I keep thinking about how many times we've seen people express relief that Kunishige wasn't alone all that time bc they probably knew how it would have eaten away at him without a reason to hope, a reason to try. a guiding light. rolling myself into the sea.
