﹕─┈ All of Stella’s moments during ‘Going Home | Quinn Hughes’

“Lukey was the best pool player in the family I would say, or in the house” Quinn answered Kate's question, as he motioned his head towards Luke who was leaning over the pool table with his stick. Stella’s lips twitched up into a smile, already knowing where her older brother was leading the conversation too. Quinn continued to speak with a small smile “He had like the best win percentage, and then he bought a pool stick.”

“For like 200 bucks” Luke was quick to interrupt Quinn, an annoyed frown on his lips as he looked back on the bad money decision, he should have listened to stella. Quinn let out a small chuckle and glanced back at Stella before continuing to tease Luke “Yeah, and he just his game went down the down the rails like. He was like one in ten.”

“What about you stella?” Kate sent the youngest Hughes a warm smile, looking at Stella who was sitting Criss crossed on the couch watching Luke. Stella perked up at the mention of her name and sent Kate a happy smile, but before she could answer, Luke was quick to jump in and answer for her with a laugh “Stella’s the worst!”

Everyone in the room laughs at the dramatic gasp that Stella let out. Jack, who was leaning against the wall, laughing louder than the rest at the offended look Stella sends him. Quinn just shrugs, he was not going to get in between Stella and Luke today. The Producer chuckles himself before asking Quinn another answer “are you the cook in the house?”

Stella zones out as Quinn answers the question, her eyes dropping down to her lap where her phone rested when she felt it vibrate, a shy smile coming across her face when she sees who texted her. She bit her bottom lip to hide her smile, not wanting to give her suddenly happy mood away.

lovey 🩵: do you think i'd survive sneaking through your window tonight?

pretty girl 🩷: are you brave enough to try? (i give you a 40% survival rate)

lovey 🩵: Bet! (i’d die happy though)

“Isn't that right stella?” Quinn asked Stella, wanting her to agree with how he's a much better cook. Stella looks up from her phone where she was lost in her own world and sees everyone looking at her for an answer, but the only answer they got was a confused frown and a small “Huh.”

Quinn and Jack chuckle while Luke narrows his eyes on her phone, Stella quickly shutting it off when she sees Luke's stare. Quinn chuckles and gives the camera a cheeky smile “I'm gonna take that as a yes.”

Stella sat in the corner of the boat, a blanket over her lap and her hands stuffed into the front pocket of Luke's hoodie that she stole. She wanted to go sit up on the front of the boat, curled up next to her mom but they wanted her to sit with Luke and Jack, the fans wanted to see the siblings together more apparently.

“Get your toes away from me” Stella quietly hissed at jack when he rested them up on the seat next to her, Luke who was laying on his stomach behind her stifled his laugh at the groan of annoyance stella lets out when jack teasingly moves his toes closer to her. Ellen leans forward and looks back at her children, she sends a warning look to her middle son and leans back, knowing that's all she'd have to do for him to stop bugging his sister.

Jack rolls his eyes and lets out an annoyed huff when Stella sends him a triumphant smirk, Stella leans back against the seat and looks out at the water as she listens to Quinn answer all the questions and talk about the lake. Luke absentmindedly played with a few strands of Stella's hair as he also zoned out looking out at the water.

Stella brought her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arm around her knees, resting her chin on top of them. She bounces in her seats at the waves quinn goes over, a laugh leaving her lips when her mother starts to shout at quinn and stand up “I’m kidding it's going to be fine” Quinn laughed as he watched his mom stand up, wanting to get away from the splashes of water.

A surprised gasp leaves Stella's lips and her body stills when she feels a cold chill run through her body, as she feels water come up and splash her in the face and neck. Everyone laughs on the boat as she hurriedly wipes off the water from her face, a loud laugh coming from quinn’s lips when stella whines “Quinnnn” Jack smiles and takes his hat off and drops it on Stella's head, protecting her face from the water.

Quinn gives the camera a big grin before shrugging his shoulders “oops.”

“What's the five for?” Kate asks Quinn as she motions towards the garage wall where four numbers in blue spray paint were written. 43,86,43 and 5. Quinn, Kate and the rest of the crew where in the garage, filming quinn as he shot some pucks, showing off the ‘shooting room.’

Quinn paused to catch his breath and turned to look back at the wall, memories flooding through his mind of him and his siblings all putting their number on the wall after the ‘shooting room’ was done. A great memory. Quinn smiled fondly as he looked at kate “Oh that's stella number when she used to play.”

“And I'm guessing those are hers too” Kate laughed as she pointed at the light pink skates that had a bunch of different stickers on them, the laces pink as well. Quinn chuckles and nods as he looks back at the skate's jack had gotten her a year ago, while Luke got her a new pack of stickers “yeah those are stella’s, she likes coming down and shooting with us.”

“Is she any good?” the producer asks, even though he already knew the answer. All the brothers have mentioned Stella's hockey skills before. Quinn leans down to take off his skates, ready to show them the next thing on the schedule. Quinn smirks at the camera “She's my sister, of course she is.”

At the end of the video the camera is filming all the guys playing a friendly skirmish, and you can see Stella sitting on the bench cheering for Cole who was on a breakaway!

I feel like he's very non-confrontational as a person, though, fs. Like, if he's put in a position where his well-being/life is/may be on the line (😃...), then yeah, he'll do his best to stick up for himself. But otherwise, his main, favorite, and works-90%-of-the-time tactic is to just avoid conflict and places where it might occur altogether.

Also, I definitely think he's autistic. Like, no way he's not. Hyperfix? Space, obviously. Especially rockets, and then the science behind space/the things in space. I don't see him as a fan of loud noises, either (especially when we consider his upbringing). He also seems to not have the best handle on social cues/is awkward (but I guess that can also be perceived as a neurotypical trait, too, so idk). I also feel like he's defo a stickler for texture. Won't eat certain foods or wear certain fabrics,,, needs things to be a specific type of feeling/way for him to operate as usual, you feel me?

Having complete (emotional?) shutdowns when he's not in a positive mood and/or environment, only really having a logical way of thinking until the tasks/emotions run a bit too high and then he breaks down... I could go on, this really all seems like solid evidence to me, ngl🤷🏽‍♀️.

I also think he's a huge fan of routine, especially simple ones that he can remember. Or, if/when a task is somehow connected to an object/person/other task? Yeah, his brain loves that.

I might've brought this up before in another post, but I definitely think Finney would take/find interest in astrology. Maybe not actually believe in it or take it as seriously as the next person, but he'd definitely respects it because, while he's more of an astronomy guy, focusing on the logical aspects of space and stars and shit, astrology delves into a more spiritual and belief-based aspect, and he likes the thought of the stars that he loves having meanings and things that correspond to, not only your life, but to who you may be as a person.

Kind of like a little bit of insight, a look-see, on who someone is. So, with that, he definitely knows his own star sign and is happy to answer when asked.

But in all seriousness, I feel like Finney himself didn't realize he felt the same feelings that he does for Donna for Robin until after he got with Donna (like,,, bro didn't clock it was the same feeling, nor that he even swung that way at all, until after the fact,,, does that make sense?). Sometimes, you just have those moments of clarity about yourself later on, I was kind of the same way.

Anyways, cat person to the third degree max. Only likes small dogs, and anything bigger than like,,, those little, fluffy ass dogs, he starts tweakin' real bad🥴💀. I don't blame him fr, though. Dogs are loud "BARK BARK🗣‼️" all in yo face, lick-lick, hyperactive, unpredictable... I could not deal, and neither could he.

I'm not saying cats are any more predictable or that they don't have their own cons, but hey, everyone has their preferences, and he just prefers cats🤷🏽‍♀️.

LOVEEESSS sugary/sweet tasting stuff. The type to always be craving a little sweet treat after dinner (genuinely, he does eat all the ice cream, he really tries to hold back for Gwen, but,,,😔✋🏽), or throughout the day, all he'll be thinking about is a crisp, cold soda.

He also loves a good crafting session. Could honestly spend hours in his room cutting up paper and pictures, building model rockets, making paper dolls for Gwen. Billy is DEFINITELY his picture plug, btw.

No way Finney isn't itching by the door for Billy to come by so he can be updated on the latest things added in the paper. Or, if his dad gets to it first, he's reminding him not to throw it out until he gets back home from school so he can still sort through it for what he wants.

Speaking of Gwen, I do fully believe that Finney was the one braiding her hair every morning before school. Same thing with Robin, but to a much lesser degree. It's more like a fond admiration, like, that's basically a second older brother. Has and will continue to scarf down any food he brings over, even if it wasn't even for her. And if he gets pressed, she'll just-

I feel like Gwen is a very ambitious person. Doesn't take no shit, which can make her stubborn at times, but at the end of the day, she always finds what she's looking for and/or gets the answers she needs. Ambitious and persistent.

Definitely a go-getter type, which was why she even took the time to read up more on her little ability, what it means, etcetc. Miss girl wanted answers, she was going to find 'em🤷🏽‍♀️.

I have no clue when her birthday is (if someone knows it, TELL ME👹), but for now, I hdcn she's either a Taurus, Leo, Gemini, Cancer or Virgo (some of those also being in her chart as well, if that makes sense).

He's an Aquarius (birthday - February 2nd, which is literally two days before mine🤭💜🧡), but he's definitely got Libra and/or Leo somewhere in his chart, for sure.

I feel like he's the type to think/say none of that "astrology shit" matters, but then know his whole entire chart, top to bottom, and only wants to know/cares about the charts of people close to him. And I bet you he only did it because Finney brought it up once, and he wanted to know what the hell he was talking about💀.

While on the topic of Finney, tho, he probably had eyes on Finn since day one. Wanted to befriend him since the sandbox days, but didn't really have an excuse until he found out he was being bullied. Thought maybe one day Finn would fight back, but he never did, soooo😗...

I feel like Robin also feels his feelings pretty deeply, more so than people realize, but again, he's definitely not finna let you know that. You'd probably never even know unless you were close with him or he flat out told you.

He's kind of a show-off, if anything😭. Just a little bit, nothing crazy, but he does get a kick out of "proving a point" beating the breaks off of someone "for the crowd". Or just anything he's skilled at; he might not actively seek the attention, but god, he hopes someone is watching, 'causeeeeee😗😙.

He was definitely taught to fight from his father, but continued to go to boxing classes after he went off to war and never came home. Robin would go wherever he could find them/they were offered (bonus points if they're free), spending a lot of time brushing up on technique, form, whatever. Even takes the time to actually read up on more, study it; does better with visual stuff, though, like pictures or videos or someone showing/guiding him, things like that.

That round-kick ain't just pure talent, y'know😌 (he'd definitely argue otherwise, tho).

He has a whole bandana collection that he's super proud of and kind of just started, but that green one is signature. Something his father left behind, and, like Gwen,,, my man's gotta rep it, you feel me😌✊🏽. Literally ONLY let's his mom touch it, and that's only to wash it. Off limits to every and anybody else, even his own uncle, and everyone knows it, too. The other bandanas are free game, though.

Robin was often given cooking lessons from his mom, and he found he likes to bake, too, but can't bake for shit. It always comes out completely burnt or not at all like he was expecting (it makes him so sad, too😭 like, bro just wants to make his own tres leches instead of having to wait for special occasions,,, is that too much to ask😫?).

A horror movie nut from day one. Definitely something that startled/disturbed his mother for a little while, but she got over it💀✋🏽.

He's not in it for the scares or anything, but for the production (although he loves and cherishes the semi-rare times where he actually jumps). He's actively studying the movies, what makes them good vs. bad, the actors, the lighting, the music, atmosphere, dialog, everything. Even watched the really cheesy, awful, bad ones. He's thought about hashing out some faint ideas he's had, maybe in script format, but really just didn't have the skill for that just yet. So, he stuck to just observing for the time being.

His favorite trope is "everybody dies". Doesn't mind a good "final girl/boy" or a "beat the shit out of the bad guy/murderer/ghost" ending, either.

...Robin realized/knew he couldn't fight The Grabber, but was super salty/petty about it. Would scratch and bite at him like a damn dog, kicked at him, made it really difficult for The Grabber to literally exist in that basement with him (which was why his death was quick, you alr know The Grabber was 'bout sick of his ass lmfao). Fought like hell until the end and thought about his dad the wholeee time.

Very- .... SUPER annoyed when he woke back up in the basement,,, livid when he saw The Grabber walk in with Finney...

I wouldn't put a label on Robin, and neither would he himself, to be honest. Like, even "unlabeled" is a label to him. He truly has the "If they're hot, they're hot🤷🏽" mindset and pretty much has his whole life.

Doesn't even really see the need for labels at all, but if you tried to get him going on that, he'd be more than likely to wave it off so he didn't have to go through the trouble of being misunderstood when trying to explain.

He totally would've been a movie buff/critique. Hell, probably would've made his way into the industry on some film student type shit🤭. Not the best when it comes to actually writing shit out or explaining exactly what he means, but when he has a vision, he has a VISION. Trust the process, fr🤞🏽.

Is totally the target audience for all that action-packed shit. Rocky, Karate Kid, Top Gun,,, very male, very g u y, very macho-manly lmao. Might possibly even be a weakness, like,,, he really can't resist that stuff (not as passionate as he is for the horror genre, tho).

I feel like he would get really into the rap/hip-hop scene. Would also fw r&b mad heavy, love him some Michael Jackson, even dresses diff to kind of fit with that aesthetic...

Couldn't bring himself to cut his hair, though, he's too attached😭. That's absolutely staying, or at least getting braided up or something.

Actually, he was straightening/perming his hair a lot of the time, mostly when he was coming up, but eventually stopped and let it grow its naturally wavy pattern. He would cut off the dead hair as it grew more and healthier (never fully chopped/buzzed it off, though, bc again,,, he couldn't bare to lose the length), and he eventually learned to take proper care of it.

Would definitely cook for his mom, both when asked and just because he felt like it (or if he's craving something specific for dinner that evening, he'll pull the, "Ama, let me cook tonight, I love you🥰." card so he can get away with cooking what he wants lmfao). Sometimes, he'll send his uncle off with leftovers for work or just make his own lunch for school, boxing, or going to work with his uncle, shit like that.

Still hasn't quite grasped onto baking yet, though. Still burns most of his stuff and has totally given up on making cookies (he's fs the type to end up with one, giant, morphed ass cookie on the sheet and he just has to stare at it in pure disbelief like ">:0..." lmao💀) ...

Charmer, but in a corny way that makes you shake your head and sigh type beat. Not really a romantic, but has and will make exceptions for the right people at the right time.

Even before that, though, he was always kinda cocky and it really only got "worse" for lack of a better word💀😭. Robin's also a certified yapper. Doesn't even have to know you. I feel like he got moved around a lot as a kid because his dad was a military brat or whatever (a classic hardass type with The Abuser Mustache™) ((if you don't know what I mean by the mustache look, think about/look up Chloe's stepdad from Life Is Strange)).

It didn't matter where he went/was/moved, though, because it was a dysfunctional home life regardless. Mom and dad always fighting, no real stable income (one of those things where it was like,,, sometimes they came off as well-off and be spoiled, and sometimes, they were going to an off-brand thrift shop for cheap clothes and other necessities), things like that.

So when his dad left, it definitely left a mark on everyone in the house. Bittersweet type of thing because while yes, he was a dickwad, he was still their dad and he cared for them in his own, fucked up way (part of why Vance is so angy😞).

Vance is a middle child who has all sisters (five, to be exact. One eldest who's college age, a second eldest who's about a year or two younger than the oldest, one that's basically his irish twin, a younger sister around Gwen's age, and then a baby sister who's still in diapers). And absolutely he would go to bat for all of them (especially them two youngest, he don't play about them and he spoils them to death if/when he can).

Over time, though, he learned when and when not to do so. Like, when/where it was appropriate for him to cuss and when not to. He cusses at home, yes, he'll cuss around his mom but not AT her, huge difference. Has cussed out his father plenty of times, cops as well. Won't cuss around the younger sisters, but will with/at the older ones. Point is, he's good at gaging the situation.

Kiss, Metallica, all of that shit. Was dreaming for the day he either got an electric guitar as a Christmas or birthday gift or for when he could save up for his own.

And, because he wanted to further mimic all the cool rockstars he was seeing coming up, he tried a cigarette ONCE, and he ended up hating that shit💀. He fr wanted to see the appeal so bad, too, but he just can't, and side-eyes people whenever he sees them smoke, now.

Like Robin, when Vance got snatched, he fucked with and was doing his best to beat the breaks off The Grabber until the bitter end. He had a better advantage, too, because he's much bigger, so he definitely got good licks in - which led to The Grabber starving him so that he was too weak to fight back so yes, he took his time with Vance, made his death hurt, which just kinda left Vance feeling pissed off and hopeless until he died.

He definitely would've learned to calm down a bit; some time and talks with his mother and sisters, some warning calls from Uncle Jim, the threat of actual prison and not just "juvie for a couple of days" eventually set him straight. Still quick to anger, but he doesn't practically kill people anymore😃👍🏽. Don't ... Don't fuck with his pinball machine, though, that's still a very active warning/threat on his behalf.

He also gained a sense of moral justice, so even if he did decide to go apeshit (y'know, for old times sake), it'd be for a valid reason, ngl.

That lady from the Grab'n'Go store fs gave him that pinball machine at one point (replaced it with a lamer game or something, like Pac-Man or whatever). When she straight up realized Vance wasn't going to let anyone else touch that shit, let alone beat his high score, which meant she wasn't getting any business with it, she basically just-

He was clueless as hell, too, genuinely had NO IDEA why she would give him the ENTIRE MACHINE TO KEEP FOR FREEEEE, but was VERY grateful. His mom even tried to get him to give it back, but that woman insisted😭. "I don't know what you think I'm supposed to do with it if you won't let anyone else touch it, Vance. Just keep it and stop wrecking my store."

He didn't at first, has no clue when or how it happened, but very suddenly and intensely grew a guilty-pleasure liking for superheroes. Really likes The Hulk and X-Men comics and has stacks of them he's both bought and stolen collecting in his room.

Sometimes, he rips them up and makes posters out of them, like,,, rips out certain characters or speech bubbles he likes or whole pages and then plasters them around his room.

Relating to superheroes, kind of... You wouldn't think it, but he's got that Spider-Man mentality where it's like,,, he's always looking out for the little guy. When his sense of moral kicked in, he wasn't just fighting for no reason anymore. Now he was fighting if he saw some fuckers talking mad shit or doing something he knew was wrong on their part, so he'd set 'em straight. Would make sure people he didn't have problems with weren't getting picked on.

Also has a high respect for Robin because he essentially does the same shit, and because while Vance has the size advantages, Robin has the skill advantages that he doesn't. The feeling is mutual, too.

Is very confused and awkward when he is told/finds out girls have crushes on him. Very much like🧍🏼‍♂️.

I know I mentioned him drinking coffee earlier, but to expand on that a little more, he was basically always drinking coffee and energy drinks to stay awake and (barely🥴) coherent when he was doing his paper boy job and school at the same time, so he now unfortunately has a caffeine addiction that he cannot shake for the life of him. He's tried so many things, he just can't let go😭. He likes it really sweet, too (he has a sweet tooth).

He'll add a lot of creamer, flavored syrup, sugar... whatever he can find to kind of just dilute the bitter taste entirely, he's throwing it in the mug. Also part of the reason why he's more fond of soda/energy drinks, because at least he doesn't have to deal with that nasty taste coffee has (I'm a coffee hater, hop off😒✋🏽).

Also like I mentioned earlier, he'd still have this weird yet cute thing with cartoons. Like, yeah, he'd enjoy a good movie (indie, coming of age type stuff), but cartoons just really do it for him. Sitting at the kitchen table with his second bowl of fruit loops laughing at Tom and Jerry is his therapy, truly♡.

While he can be out of touch, he's very open and easy to gain understanding from, loves to learn (especially since he's a writer). Just an all-around stand-up guy fr, you can not go wrong with Billy Showalter.

decided to make a little list of some of the fics that i want to highlight/i think really cooked this year. also because there are just, so many of them.

anyway. these aren't sorted in any particular order of favouritism but i wanna give a little bit of commentary on each one!

Don't you wanna see what you've been missing? by Luvo (archive-locked) fantasy high, riz-centric, one-shot, 11k+

this fic made me feel like, true and proper crazy. i've literally been thinking about this for weeks. luvo kept mentioning "evil love potion fic" in chat and YEAH that's basically what it is. riz gets dosed with a love potion (he's aroace and he's not having a fun time about it). extremely tightly executed all-around, so, so good.

Shelter by Awesome_Sauce432 (archive-locked) fantasy high, lucy-centric, one-shot, 40k+

i highly urge everyone to read olive and eren's entire wizardswap au because it makes me feel SOOO bonkers but this fic. this fic!! in this au lucy gets shatterstarred and the slow transformation and buildup to it plus the final scenes with the goddess fallout make me want to chew glass.

i'd take your dreams and make 'em multiply by lunarblazes the unsleeping city, pete & kingston, one-shot, 2k+

this class-swap au is so snappy and it is so chef's kiss. there is something about way that luna does descriptive language that is so BUTTERY SMOOTH. their dynamic is really fun i love pete and kingston.

AITA for giving a second chance to the guy that attacked me and my friends? by ItsJustKade (archive-locked) fantasy high, inkblade, multi-chap, 2k+

watching this fic update in real-time was so. jesus christ man. i don't think the 2k word count does it justice because i urge you to open the comments on every single chapter for commenters rping as fantasy redditors. one of the funniest fics i read the whole of fic-off from everyone trying to be the silliest clown at the circus.

cheating a little because these are the two ficlets i sent ell prompts for so of course i'm biased BUT ell did SUCH a fantastic job with both of these they are SO silly goofy funny. the dialogue is so sharp!! big fan of saint larry i miss him every single day.

when i tell you that i'm obsessed with zack's oc charlie. i really do mean it, i'm obsessed with her whole thing, she's so COOL augh. this is actually a sequel to a fic that zack wrote LAST fic-off so if you need context go read that first BUT i just like them and this has nothing at all to do with pete being my favourite TUC PC. anyway. the worldbuilding here is so FUNNN.

Creek Angel by rratking fantasy high, trackerbees, multi-chap, in-prog, 3k+ (so far)

i still think about this fic frequently. this is a little kristen goes to helioc summer camp kidfic au which is just, SO so heartbreaking. the way that bird gets kristen and tracker makes me actively nauseous if i have to think about it for more than 2 seconds. read creek angel it makes me feel crazy btw.

Required Worksheets of Aguefort by castlesonclouds and Artistkitty (archive-locked) fantasy high, gen, multi-chap, 2k+, 13 worksheets lol

this deserves a shoutout because it is SUCH a good tool for building fhsonas and other miscellaneous d&d ocs that i felt like it was worth mentioning. also because castles and patch put puzzles on the rogue worksheet and i like doing puzzles. the effort!! the creativity!!

the entire aguefort gym that makes you gay tag because what the hell was that fantasy high, 27? 28? fics

like a week or two before fic-off i posted a bingo board in the server that included "fic-off compliant lore" and i'm proud to say that we've done it folks, it's all love now.

the section of the collection that is just a cascade of shorter fics from when everyone tried to fight for met the brief and concluded with The Tragedy of the Barrys by wolfsongrevival look they were fighting for shortest fic okay the fic is one word long

the day after i posted my 24 word fic, riya posted a 23 word fic, and this all happened while i was out at dinner and then suddenly like 7 different people posted fics of decreasing word count. you just had to be there man. they're never gonna bring back the superlative after this.

i haven't read all the fics in the collection btw, these are mostly extracted from the ones that i managed to actually read during the month. i'll get around to reading all of the rest eventually but there are so many of them!! and these aren't even all the good fics because there are SO MANY OF THEM i mostly tried to keep it to one fic per writer.

anyway collection plug here if you want to read more of these but i'm also kind of writing this post for myself so that i can come back and revisit them. what a blast. :)

I just love his shyness, and how much he cares about the vestige (they fumbled in the newest chapter I stfg 🙄🙄🙄) I would date him irl idec I'm only straight for pookie <333333 I used to tweak so bad, I couldn't look at his face or hear his voice 🥴

2. Verandis Ravenwatch

Listen, he's hot and he's a dilf sooo perfect combo fr fr. Also, there's something I really like about the 'fatherly' characters, something like mentors just tickles my brain in the right way.

3. Vanus Galerion

Ok, so I'm not gonna lie, at first!! I didn't like him!! But then my brain chemistry changed when he was low key degrading us 🤤 ok ignore that, but I love that underneath all his grumpiness, is someone who's vulnerable. Also I want him to bend me over his desk :) I need more Vanus loreee, let me love pookie right

4. Abnur Tharn

When I was done with his DLC, I fucking scoured ao3 and Tumblr to lick at the crumbs left for me :)) The first time he shows up in the main quest?? Liked him but wasn't feral yet. Elsewyr?? Omfg, I love how he's changing!!! C'mere pookie 😍😍 ok, also I'm ngl but I blushed when he called us a pretty face <33

5. Iachesis

He's a hot, old, Altmer with good hair what else is there to say?? When he first showed up I was like damn, this is Vanus's dad figure?? Sign me UP!!!

6. Revus Demnevanni

He's so endearing. I love how clumsy he is, but ALSO!! He's always trying to right his mistakes which is hot ASF. Really miss him :/

7. Ayrenn

Ok, first off--HER VOICE. Her voice is sooooooo nice like OUGH, I could listen to her for hours. She's so caring, too, and I love that she's really willing to stuff for all the races in the Altmer alliance. FCK the veiled heritance fr fr.

I miss this man sm, guys I fucking cried during the Summerset DLC. He fucking BROKE ME. I didn't care for him that much in the beginning, but the dlc absolutely wrecked me :((. I felt like there was a real relationship there, and Darien really cared about everyone around him. I miss my knight 😭

9. Gabrielle Benele

Gabby is so cute, I love how crazy she is sometimes. But, also she cares SO MUCH. I just wanna hug her(maybe a smooch also), she's been thru sm and deserves sum loveeee

Yeah, this got developed when I did cw city dlc, but um...he calls us a distraction after the trial and it fucked me UP. HELL YA I WANNA BE UR DISTRACTION DADDY FYR

Notes: This took forever as I was plotting to write this during my study period but failed to remember my dumbass cries whenever I write anything remotely sad, I fear this might have some time inaccuracies so very sorry to my TWTTIN fanatics- and ofc @thesillierant THANK YOU FOR SENDING IN THE ASK!! probably not very angst but Johnny dead sooo 🥀 I JUST REALIZED THAT THIS WASN'T A REQUEST FOR JOHNNY CADE AND ANGELA SHEPARD ANGST!! IM SO STUPID WHAT!! I've put in too much effort for this kinda doo doo fic so I'm gonna post it anyway, I will make another just Angela angst and tag you bookie sorry

When news got around to Angela that Johnny Cade had died, no one expected what happened, Angela broke down to be completely blunt, but not in front of everyone, as soon as she got away from everyone who gossiped about the fact or solemnly announced it to their own groups

Angela could still remember her first ever conversation with Johnny, Dallas had dragged him to some stupid party and gotten drunk, running off with some girl, Angela stepped outside not soon after Johnny, just talking at him because she needed someone to talk at, and she reckoned he's quiet enough he won't say anything

Angela never really expected Johnny to speak to her, her best bet was that he knew she was a little tipsy, thinking she was just drunk and would forget it, but she still appreciated it, ranting and raving on about how Bryon treated her wrong, not like all those boys you'd see taking their girl out on honest and thoughtful dates, about how her brothers were all brutal and mean, hardened and rude, about everything she found wrong in her life

Johnny took a drag of his cigarette and said softly "you know, one day, I'm gonna move outta Tulsa, I'm gonna get out of here, with Ponyboy, we're gonna have a nice big house one day" Angela goes quiet, yeah, shove it in her face why doesn't he? and Johnny looks to Angela "and you're gonna come with us, I'll take ya all away from this place, we'll be three buddys, livin' together, ain't nothin gonna get to us there"

It was a short conversation, Angela didn't even know why Johnny said it, but it stuck with her, sometimes she wondered if that was why she was so entranced by Ponyboy, because Johnny had put such an ideal idea of him in her head that night, because she could just imagine that pretty house out of the city

Some place where she didn't have a reputation, somewhere where no one knew her brothers and how they were, somewhere she could be herself without a tough front, somewhere she could call home, maybe she'd settle down with a boy that wouldn't laugh and talk about her behind her back, that'd be nice, but in a town like this? That was rare, really rare

While everyone was confused to how sulky Angela seemed about Johnny's passing, Angela knew why, she knew that knowing that boy, even if he never would be the one to help her out of Tulsa, the what if's, knowing he could've one day, when they were older, that was what really wore her down, the idea that maybe she could've gone somewhere else, somewhere other than the town that seemed to suffocate anyone who stepped inside

The rain was pouring, your coffee was growing cold and your eyes were getting heavier by the second, but you just couldn't take your eyes off of your book.

"Are you done yet?" she complained.

"Almost," she huffed at your response, the same answer she had been getting the last 30 minutes.

"Yeah, you keep saying that," she wanted to sound annoyed at you but she just couldn’t.

"I swear I'm almost done," you chuckled.

"You know what? I'm just gonna—" she said as she took the book off of your hands.

"I wasn't done," you scoffed.

"And now I'm gonna get over here," she sat on your lap.

You smiled at her, impossible for you to stay ‘mad’ at her for more than just a few seconds.

"Hi."

She pecked your lips, the simple action sending a shiver up your spine even though it wasn't the first time that she did it.

She went to peck your lips once again, but this time your lips captured hers, while your hands at her hips pushed her closer to your body. Florence moaned into your lips as she felt her chest being pushed against yours. Your soft warm hands slowly crawled around her back, setting her skin on fire. Your book long forgotten.

“Wait,” she said, almost breathless. “I wanted to talk to you about something.”

“Yeah, sure,” you said, your lips moving to the soft skin on her neck.

She threw her head back, giving you more access, trying to hold back her moans and focus on what she wanted to tell you.

“I’m serious, Y/n.”

“I’m listening,” you mumbled into her skin.

“Your birthday’s coming up,” she breathed out.

The mention of your birthday made you stop for half a second, but then you gathered yourself up, shrugged all the memories away and decided to focus on marking Florence’s soft skin. But your small action didn’t go unnoticed by your girlfriend.

“Yeah, it seems so… what about it?” you wanted to kiss her so she could just drop the subject, but you knew she meant well.

Florence’s brows furrowed, it was your birthday for god’s sake, and she felt like it was just her who was excited about that special day.

“Well… I was thinking,” she cupped your cheek with her warm hands, forcing your eyes to meet hers, “we could invite everyone over, maybe I can cook some pizza and we can do karaoke and…,” she sounded so thrilled that it hurt having to cut her off.

“Flor, it’s okay. We don’t have to do any of that,” you grabbed her hands and left a sweet kiss on the back of them. “We can just chill here, order something and watch some films.”

“But it’s your birthday and I wanted—.”

“It’s not that big of a deal.”

Florence stared at you for a minute, trying to read your thoughts. She figured that your mood changed and your birthday were, somehow, related.

“You don’t want to celebrate your birthday, do you?” she quietly asked, as her fingertips transcend small circles on the back of your hand.

“I mean… I just…” you huffed, clearly annoyed at this whole conversation.

“What is it, babe?”

"I just…" you let out the breath you had been holding onto, blinking the tears away that you hadn't even noticed they were about to spill.

Florence kissed your forehead in an attempt of offering you some comfort, she didn't know that your birthday was a sensible topic for you to talk about. She waited, patiently, for you to talk, giving you time to gather yourself up, and letting you know she was right there for you.

"Back then we didn't have enough money, we weren’t poor but we always were short on it. So a birthday party just wasn’t on our plans, but mum always made sure to cook my favourite and I always had a great time,” you smiled at the memory.

“Y/n…”

"I loved those special meals, but deep down it made me sad. All the kids on my block had all these amazing birthday parties and I just had a family dinner like any other day,” you laughed, but there was not a trace of humour in your tone.

“But I’m grateful for everything my parents did for me, I don’t want to sound ungrateful,” you shook your head, emphasising your words.

“You’re not ungrateful, Y/n. You could never be.”

You breathed in, pushing all the messy emotions away, nodding to her words. “So, I don’t need everyone to come over, or you cooking pizza for everyone or karaoke,” you chuckled.

“But… but you deserve it,” she tried.

“It’s okay, Flo,” you pecked her lips, and a second later you yawed. “Well, I’m going to sleep now,” you wrapped yourself in the soft warm blankets. “Don't stay up late, missy. Love you,” was the last thing you said before finally closing your eyes, leaving Florence with her own thoughts.

The only thought on her mind was that you deserved the happiest of birthdays someone could ever have. She decided that it was up to her to give you the birthday party you could never have had as a child. She didn’t blame your parents for such an arrangement in the past, she understood they did their best with what they were capable of. But she was there now, and she was going to make sure to give you everything you deserved, and the least she could do was to throw you the best birthday party she could ever organise.

She smiled to herself as she watched you sleep, a million ideas rushing to her mind, picturing you with a big smile on your face when the day came.

It wasn’t easy for her, especially with so little time left for your birthday. But she wasn’t going to give up so easily, not when it was about you. Florence had only two weeks to organise the best birthday party you could possibly have.

The date was already set, the same day as your birthday, which was a Friday, so it was perfect. Given the short time, she had no other alternative than to host the party in your shared home, but it was fine, it was just about right for everyone she had planned to invite over.

Raffie, her little sister, helped her out with the digital invitations and they were already sent, every guest confirming their attendance, which brought a smile to Florence’s face. On the invitation Florence —and Raffie— clarified that everyone should be right on time, so they could be all there when you walk in the door after work and surprise you.

The food was the easiest part of it. She gathered Toby, Arabella and Raffie, and the four of them got to work, and in no time they had that problem solved. Pizzas and sandwiches were made, and were ready to be defrosted as soon as Friday came. And lots of different cakes were ordered, one of them wishing you the happiest of birthdays on top.

Now, what was left was convincing you that she wasn’t up to something. Hiding this little secret was a bit hard for Florence, she wanted to come clean to you, she felt terrible about lying to you about your birthday. But she knew deep down that you would love the surprise. So she did her best and kept her mouth shut. And luckily for the both of you, she managed it pretty well. With some help of Raffie, of course.

Florence was sweating, even though it was cold outside.

She was getting nervous as the time of your arrival came closer. Everyone that was supposed to be present was already there, which was a good thing that gave Florence some comfort. But she was worried about something else.

“What if she doesn’t like it?”

“Flossie—,” Toby tried but her sister cut him off.

“She didn’t want this,” she shook her head in disapproval of herself. “She told me she wanted something simple.”

“Y/n will love this,” Raffie tried to calm her sister.

“She will hate me, she will definitely hate me after this. I shouldn’t have—,” she cut herself as she heard the breaks of your car outside. A second later Billie barked at her, as if confirming you were there.

Her eyes winded as her heart skipped a beat, which Raffie took notice of. “Hey!” she grabbed her sister by the shoulders. “She is going to love this, I swear. Her mum told me, okay? You are good.”

Raffie’s words sinked into her. Florence took a deep breath, nodding to herself and got the last step of her plan in motion.

“Okay, everyone at your place, please. Y/n’s here,” she said as she moved closer to the front door, turning off all the lights on her way. “Don’t say anything until the lights are on, and remember it’s: Surprise, Y/n. Okay?” she heard everyone humming in agreement. “Okay,” she confirmed to herself, getting into her position, straightening her skirt with her sweaty hands.

She felt Billie right next to her, getting ready to surprise you as well. Sensing her owner’s unstillnes, Billie nudged Florence’s leg, with the tip of her nose, trying to comfort her. Florence smiled at her dog in the darkness, taking in one last breath as she heard you unlocking the door.

“Flo—? What the—?” you said, confused, as you opened the door to only find a darkened home.

Your hand went to turn on the light, but Florence beat you to it.

“Surprise, Y/n!” the loud cheering straddled you, but it also brought the biggest smile to your face and tears to the corner of your eyes.

“Happy birthday, baby!” Florence said excitedly, leaving a kiss on your cheek. Some of her anxiety washed away as she watched you smile, her heartbeat finally beating properly.

In a sudden movement, you grabbed her and brought her into you, hugging her tightly, as if not wanting her to slip off from your arms ever.

“I can’t believe you did this whole thing for me,” you whisper into her ear, as your eyes trailed all over the place, taking in all the details.

There were balloons everywhere in the shade of your favourite colour, some shiny fringe backdrops hanging from the ceiling, big shiny balloons in the shape of your new age number, and most importantly, everyone you cared for was there. Florence even succeeded in bringing your grandma. And your heart became even warmer when you saw Florence’s family as well, her parents, her siblings and their partners and, obviously, granzo Pat.

She pulled away from the hug, much to her dismay, and cupped your cheeks with her warm hands. “Of course, I did, silly,” there was so much love in her eyes, that you swear you could have melted right there. “I love you.”

“I love you more,” you smiled at her.

Billie nudged your leg, wanting to get your attention, and she slowly howled to you, which you took as a ‘happy birthday’.

“Why, thank you, missy moo,” you said as she looked up to you and planted a kiss on the top of her head.

“Y/n!” you heard your name being called.

“Go,” Florence pushed you forwards. “Everyone wants to say ‘hi’ to you.”

“Yeah, you’re right,” you smiled at that thought.

Everyone was here for you and only you, you felt like your heart could burst out of your chest from all the happiness you were feeling.

THWIP THURSDAY

technically tagged by @carbonbased000 for WIP SHARING PURPOSES and so here I am! Thank you <3 I haven't done any WIP posting/games/etc in ages and I appreciate everyone who tagged me, it makes me feel nice even if I don't participate <3 I mentioned in some tags earlier this week that I attempted to have a day where I took a break from writing (I've been writing a LOT lately, even more than I posted in Sept) and that instead of doing THAT, I got possessed by two brand new WIPs that refused to wait their turn. One of them is over 20K by now and the other I think is still under 10K but it's gonna be a long one! My instinct is to keep these squirreled away until they're finished but they're not gonna be finished for a very long time so I might as well share some of the longer one! ---

God. What a relief, when Eddie slides into the passenger's seat, looking exactly how Steve expects him to, smelling like coffee and cigarettes - though he said he was quitting - and everything he uses in the shower. "Hey," he says, pulling out of the driveway. "Hello there," Eddie says, looking him over. "Is this a… don't you DARE talk to me about it kind of thing, or do you want to bring it up later, or should I pull it out of you with brute force?" Steve laughs. Everything's actually alright, isn't it? "The second thing. Nothing's… nothing's that bad, just had a hard day," he says. "Even though it was short." "Yeah," Eddie says, graciously, though Steve can tell that Eddie can tell that whatever it is feels like fucking dogshit. "Lucky you, then. You get to hang out with a such a distracting, devastating specimen like myself." Steve's got. Hot blood. It reminds him presently. "Uh-huh," he says, flat and dry as possible. "Tell that to all of the sexy single moms when we're waiting in line and you've got your cart full of like, fucking ice cream and TV dinners." Eddie laughs, scrunching his face at him. "You think you're sooo funny," he says. "That's embarrassing." "No, what's embarrassing is that you think I'm funny." Eddie bites his lips together like he's trying not to smile, crossing his arms. He doesn't have a retort, but Steve knows that's only because it's still Eddie's version of too-fucking-early in the morning. "You had coffee, right? Breakfast?" he checks. There's a diner up ahead. "Yeah, didn't want to go terrorize the aisles hungry, or whatever you said," Eddie sighs. "So I ate the stalest peanut butter sandwich on EARTH and with coffee that had NO milk in it." Steve laughs. "Good thing I'm here to save the day," he says, and pulls into the diner. He's not hungry, but they can get something small and share it or something. Whatever Eddie wants.

This fic is set in 1990 and is about trauma AND bdsm AND deep easy friendships AND it's got some of my most Eddie dialogue ever in it. (I've really been working on my presentation of him as someone who does NOT grow out of the adhd hyperactivity, perhaps inspired by pulling myself out of the sludge of a months long disassociation/depression thing and my own return of adhd hyperactivity, which is why I got SO possessed by the Stories I'm Writing)

Splitsies (saiou/ousai in-game AU)

Apollo: Okay I don't know how many of you watch Sanders' Sides but I came up with this idea last night and the chat in ⁠angst-corner has reminded me of it.

Annoyed at Kokichi's constant meddling, Monokuma straight up 'splits' him for a motive, leaving multiple versions of him, each representing a different part of him.

The idea is, either someone dies (this includes the Kokichis (kill one and all of them die)) or they find a way to put him back together (most likely by 'understanding him' which is gonna be hella hard).

The issue? All of them know what's going on so they're not trusting anyone easily. Kokichi's logic is fucking with them at the encouragement of his creativity because all of them are mad at everyone else but only a few 'splits' are willing to straight up mess with them all.

Shuichi doesn't know how to handle multiple Kokichis flirting with him

Sayakxmi: Hypercompetent Kokichi just nopes out & does his investigations. He doesn't give a damn. He has a goal. He is busy One of the Kokichi's is Kind Kokichi & nobody knows how to handle him when he's so open about caring Mhmm, maybe Kind Kokichi is difficult to find. He just stays back, supporting everybody from the shadows. it takes them some time to realize somebody's there

Apollo:

Kaito: Sooo uhhh

Kokichi #who knows: Oh! I'm Kokichi's empathy!

Maki: Why don't you show so much?

Empathy: Because we're in a killing game and it's dangerous to get too close to people?

Maki: Ah…Makes sense Angie makes them all fancy name tags

Sayakxmi: Empathy's just doing ok for a bit, then suddenly he's crying & ppl freak out & he just keeps sobbing & starts describing in extreme detail how [insert a person who died] must have felt when they died, they must have been so scared, it must have hurt so much, I hate it here, I don't want anybody else to die ;_; They thought Empathy was lying or sth, but he just keeps crying when he sees random things that remind him about somebody dead? Piano? He's crying. There's a fish on his table? Crying. He's holding a damn book & he's, again, crying

Apollo:

Maki: Who are the two moping in the corner?

Logic: Ah…That's anxiety and depression.

Kaito: Kokichi has an-

Logic: Holy shit we're in a killing game full of people who hate us and can kill us at any moment. There's a crew waiting for their leader back home. Do you really believe that he's mentally sound? How much of an idiot can you be?

Sayakxmi: They're not ready to face Paranoia, but, to be fair, Paranoia isn't ready to face them, either …Paranoia ends up acting the most like the Kokichi they're used to Which makes at least a few of them, including Shuichi, go : O … : ( Shuichi makes a list of Kokcihi's Truths™️

Apollo: Yeah they're learning a lot even if the Kokichis™️ don't want them too I just thought of a mean idea:

Shuichi: Who's the flickering one?

Empathy, already tearing up: That's…Innocence. They've been fading more and more the longer Kokichi's been here. Innocence fades over time as you grow up but in a place like this? They fade quicker…

Sayakxmi: Logic is already questioning what happens if one of them fades. Do they all die? As much as he despises the bear, he needs answers

Apollo: Considering stuff changes over time, they probably wouldn't die (the motive would probably just count it as a 'natural' thing and thus it won't trigger it)

Sayakxmi: Logic: It was bound to happen eventually, anyway. Tenacity: If it doesn't kill us or anybody else it's irrelevant. Focus on what's important, and it's preventing the killings and ending the killing game for good. Empathy: cries I don't want to lose it… Tenacity: Nothing. Else. Matters. Tenacity is probably pretty terrifying… but also pretty darn respectable Shuichi feels like a fraud when he sees how much Tenacity is doing all the time. He's restless, he keeps investigating over and over again, observes everything, notes everything. Shuichi's supposed to be the Ultimate Detective, but he isn't exactly doing much, is he? Mhmm, and he ends up very unexpectedly comforted by Empathy (who has the softest, loveliest smile he'd ever seen)

Apollo: Tenacity just has a one track mind. Who cares that he's stealing Shuichi's job? He wants out and if it comes down to him investigating until he's exhausted, so be it. Thanks the split motive, people start to see just why Kokichi's been called the ultimate supreme leader

Sayakxmi: Tenacity has duty to the people he's stuck with, whether they want it or not, and whether anybody likes it. They're his, so he can't just sit and do nothing when they're in danger

Kenny: does anyone else get split?

Apollo: maybe eventually. I can feel Monokuma doing it to Kaito or Shuichi because they're both big 'helpers' (Shuichi with his talent and Kaito being support or whatever)

Sayakxmi: Split Kaito would be funny but in a very bad way Bc he has a lot of traits that really suck & I think it'd be funny if everybody was forced to confront it, the later in the game the better

Kenny: Illness!Kaito is just perpetually dying 24/7

Sayakxmi: Tenacity starts working even harder, because they don't have that much time anymore, and Empathy is following Illness!Kaito like a shadow, trying to take care of him

Kai: is Deceit the leader of his sides? if dark and light sides exist as a concept within Kokichi i can't imagine Deceit would be a dark side like Janus is i feel like Deceit would have a stronger say in everything for Kokichi, like he's much more respected by the other sides than brushed off and shooed away Deceit and Logic

Apollo: I can see Deceit and Logic butting heads a lot. Janus and Logan sorta butt heads but they seem to have a mutual understanding/semi respect for each other. Logic knows that Deceit is needed in some cases but bro's out here pulling the most ridiculous unneeded lies and that's getting on Logic's nerves to the point he's ready to throw away the composed appearance he has and just tackle Deceit

Kenny: Logic: People wont trust your judgement if you constantly LIE to them about EVERYTHING Deceit: lol yeah but its for the bit Deceit: okokok but isn't it so cute how Shuichi gets when we lie about something outrageous and he believes us hook line and sinker? what a sucker!

Kai: Kokichi's deceit is bordering on also representing paranoia so he def has to be hit over with a 2x4 to prevent him from going i say that because i am of the firm beliefe Kokichi's lies are fueled by paranoia creativity is deceit's yes man

Kenny: I think Paranoia and Deceit would be separate. Even in Salmon mode, Kokichi is as ambiguous as ever and in Sander Sides Paranoia/Virgil has a different purpose than Deceit/Janus For Kokichi, lying is just a way of life, despite it all

Apollo: The pair are the closest to twins Kokichi probably has (unless he has two creativities)

Kai: Thomas' creativity twins are separate iirc because of Thomas' mindset of there being good and bad creativity and repressing the "bad" in shame till it got out of hand. i don't think Kokichi has that kind of issue his morality is too grey for him to be on about good and bad creativity actually that makes for an interesting dynamic between his deceit and anxiety, they'd be considered paranoia twins because they are two different but unusually intertwined concepts within his mindscape, like a reverse creativity twins. they're too similar for comfort as opposed to being deemed two different

Kenny: I like the idea of them being separate but intertwined--codependent and enabling both ways Kokichi lies about everything, all the time, for any reason--paranoia/anxiety whispers in his ear and just makes his habit barbed and defensive, but even in a normal, wholesome situation he's still a silly misdirection menace

Apollo: They're a package deal and no one really knows how to deal with that. Like what are they going to look? Look at them and say hey stop being the thing you are

Kai: what all facets does he have and what are they doing so far cause i saw empathy but something tells me unlike Thomas Empathy and Morality aren't one in the same for Kokichi actually i'm sure his Morality is a very interesting dude most certainly no Patton

Apollo: Yeah he doesn't have the dad friend built into him

Kai: Kokichi is a dad to his friends but not that kind he's a tough love dad to DICE

Kenny: Kokichi's morality? You mean utilitarianism??--//SHOT

Kai: my question is which facet holds the majority of his leadership smarts part of me wants to say morality given how much of his leadership actions (and rules about murder) are based on his morality Logic also makes sense

Apollo: it could always be the pair teaming up somehow? Like they just split it

Kai: ooo maybe, they're the brains of this gaggle of trauma and emotional constipation they're both so tired corralling these fuckos

Apollo: They need child leashes but alas, they just exist in a headspace and can't really do that

Kai: well when Monokuma splits them they can leash em

Kenny: lets split Shuichi next [pleading face emoji]

Kai: i'm not as sure how to split him up because i have such a different take on Shuichi than others do def not canon compliant Shuichi def feels like a logic and morality heavy person but in a very different way to Kokichi

Apollo: Shuich would be a fun yet hard split. Harder than Kokichi in a way considering we don't fully know Kokichi as much so we can sorta do whatever but Shuichi's the protag Okay but their logics and moralities arguing over who's got the better perspective, completely ignoring the fact that they're parts of completely DIFFERENT people

Kenny: I love Shuichi--I think he'd be quite an interesting character to dissect, quite literally in this sense

His complicated relationship with his talent would be especially fascinating to see split apart and personified. He's a good detective, first and foremost, but he doesn't want to be. He wants to trust his friends and buy into the love/friendship conquers all mindset, but he knows better, unfortunately. His pursuit of truth and the aftermath of such traumatized him enough to shy away from his talent and title, he puts things together that he doesn't want to be true. This helped solve two trials, but doomed two classmates in turn

My view of Shuichi was heavily colored by Dawn Again, but I love the idea that he can't help but solve these things. He might not operate as fast or as fervently as Kokichi does with his hyper intelligence, but he can keep up if given the chance.

I could see him being split between the handy capable detective he is/can be and the timid lad we meet at the start of the game who is afraid of utilizing his own assets. I'm of the opinion that Shuichi with his Trail 6 confidence is fairly unshakeable. Stubborn, but cool and collected too, enough to argue his point and die on that hill (//cries in chaprter 6)). I also think Shuichi is just as capable of being callous when hes grown tired of being polite but that's just my hc flavored in there ADFJKH JKA;S

I cant quite split the poor guy up into clean aspects, so take these garbled thoughts and do with them what you will--

I'd pitch that the purely "detective" parts of Shuichi are less friendly. Not outwardly hostile or asocial, but polite enough. By nature of his talent and experience, he's suspicious of others, not nearly as much as Kokichi is ofc, but enough to be wary and cautious. This is the side of Shuichi that listens to reason but also pisses people likke Kaito off by trying to entertain all possibilities, even if it means considering that a close friend is mayhaps a murderer.

Avoidant!Shuichi is friendly-ier but is timid for a reason. He wants to be helpful and believe in everyone and their intentions. Separated from the acutely calculating parts of his personality, he's a bit less on top of it. His problems arise through complacency and self-doubt. He's still intelligent but hes not confident enough to voice his deductions for fear he might be wrong (hes just an apprentice after all). This one will shy away from confrontation and fade to the background if he can I may have lost the plot there, but I think itd be interesting to have two Shuichi's that contrast one another, taken like snapshots from the beginning of the game to the end (with some flavor mixed in to keep it interesting) I think the two Shuichi's, in reflecting their contradictory parts, strongly dislike one another - but its Shuichi so that manifests in general discomfort/the slightest of passive agression

Apollo: oooo so he's split more into two while Kokichi's split into multiple? That's actually really interesting! Kokichi's fractures are more likely to fight but Shuichi's halves are more likely to just ice each other out

Kenny: As per chapter 4, Kokichi('s iterations?) favor Inquisitive!Shuichi while Kaito (and Co. prob) favor Avoidant!Shuichi.

Inquisitive!Shuichi can get along with the group, but he is more steadfast and blatant when it comes to his beliefs and opinions (thinking back to his Rebuttal Showdown with Keebs). He's more willing to shut other's arguments down if he thinks them wrong.

Avoidant!Shuichi is not a coward. Complacency is the word I imagine fits best because he is fine with going with whatever the plan is. He's moreso a bystander than anything else. He is helpful and kind but is reluctant to take the lead or make grand decisions without overthinking it seeking advisement from his friends. So a community type of guy, but not the most reliable on his own

me: It'd be fun if the class got to meet the Judgemental and the Defeatist Shuichis that he's been keeping tucked deep in his mind, then there's the puppy Shuichi I wouldn't exactly call co-dependence but his self-esteem is hanging onto every word and he becomes ouppy the moment someone's nice to him, and there's this idealistic/romantic Shuichi who gets all poetic but I don't think that it's his creativity, it's closer to being his hope (and his repressed wants) But ig in that less clean split the Inquisitive Shuichi would be more like, his curiosity, and some of the need to be useful and investigate would be relocated to Puppy or be puppy's twin, meanwhile his curiosity is free of it and wanders off like a cat

me: They need to put a bell on him so he can't keep slinking away without joining them for meals

me: this might be controversial, but I think instead of separate Logic, Empathy and Morality like Kokichi who, well, has been compartmentalising, picking and choosing what he should act on, I think that's a lot more entangled in Shuichi's head, he usually used his logic to justify and support the other two, or simply found his morality to be logical, and perhaps he too had that "smart kid" issue of being emotional but living under the assumption that acting on emotions = stupid, therefore I must be acting on logic, because I'm smarter than that, and logicking away the emotions. So he gets 3 in 1 package of a guy, who says he's Logic. But he also happens to be the most empathetic of the Shuichis, and so he's the number 1 person worried about Curiosity, and fair, because honestly, curiosity without logic is a danger to himself and perhaps (if only accidentally) to others, he's not curious about mundane everyday stuff like his needs, he's curious about how the poisons taste and he has the antidotes there, so why not? He's putting. so many things in his mouth. except for food that he already knows. He is also observing without a concern for anything like taking breaks, not laying in places where he might trip up people, privacy, whether he's getting up on a high place he's very likely to fall from… So yeah, logic spends most of the time catsitting curiosity, even though he feels like he should be maybe doing more important things, but this is important too, if this guy gets himself killed all Shuichis will die, but maybe someone else should be on this duty… but he doesn't have it in him to ask, plus since he's burdened with the empathy, he would feel like shit abandoning him, curiosity brings up a lot of childhood memories for him, like with the bug hunting from anthology, he has that pure passion…

meanwhile someone like Puppy who the others might think is the nicest of them all, is actually pretty selfish, he just wants to be accepted and loved, even though he feels undeserving of it and keeps trying to earn it, he'll be good, but that's rooted in guilt for taking up space, and he'll just focus on people who make him feel better about himself, because he kinda feels bad all the time. He's suffering enough, so he earned the right not to further burden himself with other people's problems, right?

if someone asks where Defeatist Shuichi is, well, he's probably in bed, sighing sadly, but it might prompt another to say they wish Judgemental Shuichi did that too, to which he'll reply that it is a wonder how he manages to find the motivation to keep going when surrounded by so many idiots. I think he pisses everyone off with his commentary in record time, some are in denial about him being a part of Shuichi after that and most avoid him, he proceeds to join the sitting in a corner club with Anxious and Depressed Kokichis, the depressed one might have also told him to fuck off at some point, but didn't care enough to keep him out/ put effort into avoiding him, so he just usually rants to them, and he gravitated towards those two because they don't mingle with others either and he kind of still hates gossip somewhere in there despite being Shuichi's frustrations concentrated and needing to vent. Also, Judgemental Shuichi is the most honest one, I mean, obviously, he doesn't hold back anything. And then there's the Idealistic Shuichi probably writing poems about friendship and boobs.

generally, while Defeatist doesn't even try to connect with anyone, and Puppy sticks to the easy to get along with extroverts aka Kaito and Kaede, the other sides of Shuichi are more prone to seeking out Kokichi than the whole Shuichi did prior to this, Curious Shuichi is obviously fascinated, even though his focus is shifting between many things, Idealistic Shuichi loves all his friends, duh, Logic feels sympathetic because they're the only ones in similar situations, as far as he knows people never get split like that, and he's impressed with his intelligence; I guess both Logic and Judgemental would be picky with which sides of Kokichi they like to spend time with, but they have different tastes, and thank god, because they aren't fans of each other

Sayakxmi: Honestly I love the read of in-game Saiou as more antagonistic on Shu's side So Judgemental rather than finding Kokichi interesting finds him loathesome How could somebody enjoy being trapped in here, watching people die etc He'd piss of Tenacity for sure, but I'd love for Emapthy to get mad. Overall, love Emapthy crying a lot bc he feels a lot, but my take on them is that he's also extremely protective. He cares a lot about everybody (all Kokichis do, which is a terrifying realization others have at some point), and while he could take Judgemental taking jabs at him - all Kokichis know they arent liked & arent helping it either - that's where he draws the line. He's entire jig is being empathetic, do he empathizes with others for gravitating towards Shuichi and his reasonings as well as somebody like Kaito – they're scared, and they need guidance and reliability, and maybe some kind lie that everything is gonna be alright. But he also empathizes with Shuichi, bc he has to be the one to make tough choices and everybody relying on him is a heavy burden to bear. He must be feeling so alone and so scared that his one mistake could doom them all. It's not fair to him. Kokichi's always trying to help him subtly or distract him, but he knows it doesn't fix the problem Judgemental: doki Empathy: Everybody is always so mean to each other : ( Somebody: You're mean to us Empathy: I know, but I'm joking even if it's not funny, while you are just mean because you don't like somebody : ( Empathy: I don't even like being so mean, but you keep trying to escape the reality of our situation, deluding yourselves into thinking that this time nothing's gonna happen, when half the group is being abandoned, because you don't actually get along or appreciate the same things. If something you like can't unite you, then the best alternative is to have something or somebody you hate to unite against. If killing isn't enough, then somebody extremely mean and obnoxious will to do : ' ( Logic(K): sigh Well, now we have to switch to Plan R Tenacity: Congrats, Empathy. This is why we've been telling you to keep quiet since we got there. Empathy: Sorry : ( Tenacity: Tell that to the people who could die because you fucked up as always Everybody else: [man standing, woman standing and person standing emojis]

me: [replying to the message about judgemental finding Kokichi overall loathesome] huh? I didn't say that. I said that Shuichi hates parts of himself. and that different parts of Kokichi appeal more to different parts of Shuichi. I think Judgemental would be impressed with Tenacity, he doesn't have the issue of comparing himself to him too much, but he recognizes the good work and just. doesn't feel like bothering him, not like he could have a chill conversation with him anyway since he's so intense. He would call Empathy's crying annoying and headache inducing though. Basically, while Logic looks for fellow intellectuals to have interesting convos with and just, someone who will relate to him, and maybe pose a challenge, Judgemental is looking for someone who can both dish it out and take it, so that they can be brutally honest with each other and not get offended, so Depressed Ko becomes his favorite for the sole reason that he doesn't have it in himself to give a fuck now, I came here to talk about Curiosity and Paranoid Kokichi because that's a fun duo. and I have thoughts on them

so, I mentioned, people kinda view Curious Shu as a literal cat or a hyperactive child, everyone, except Paranoid Kokichi (and ok, I'm kinda reusing a thought I missed the window to drop in when the actual cat Shuichi was being talked about but) he's extremely suspicious of the critter, he's having death note-esque inner monologues about how he must be onto him and using the kitty act to make him lower his guard, but no chance, I will pretend to drop my guard and play along while keeping all my plans secret, and I won't actually get attached to him. Except, Curiosity is literally just studying him like a bug because he's an interesting critter, there's no master plan, just wants to get to know him, maybe put him in a few situations. And from the beginning what I had in mind when talking about his perceived childishness was that he has uber autism and he simply has a method for everything and satisfying his curiosity is his priority, he doesn't get why you'd expect him to care about things he isn't curious about, or how social conventions are supposed to be necessary, and it feels like he'll explode if he doesn't pursue his curiosity, but he only does reckless things when he believes that he knows how to do them safely, like how he had the antidotes, and he assumes he'll be attentive enough not to fall down, but he gets too much into his observations, it's stuff like that

also, their respective Logic guys watching over them: L!Shu: should we separate them? L!Ko: nah, it's good enrichment L!Shu: Are you sure? Paranoid looks like he might faint any moment… L!Ko: They're having fun, trust me, we should schedule play dates more often P!Ko: gets attached to this black cat of a man anyway
