the main characters I’d want to video essay for would be Spy, Scout (because ofc), Demo (I love you one chance - the video would be soooo biased) and Heavy.

He gets to the smut and he's like "How easy do you lot think I am? Think you can have a pass at me, you must be taking the fucking piss-" just ranting and raving as he STILL READS IT

Sitting there with a cup of tea reading smut of himself and covering it in red pen like it's the mornings crossword 😭😭

The crew eventually realize that the readers power of trope analysis crosses over and it's SO USEFUL

All they need to do is get reader in front of Miguel and reader gives him a heartfelt reading and connection of his trauma that equals the culmination of ten years of therapy

They're like 'i know this is all an act Miguel. I know this is all an act to cover up the crushing feeling of chaos and helplessness that comes from canon. And really, all of this is just a mirror - you wanting to control how things 'should be' because there were so many things you went through that you think shouldn't have. But those moments are apart of you-'

Miguel's likes 'WAIT WOAH STOP TALKING'

They start bringing up Gabriel and Xina and shit from the comics.

Everyone's like 'Who the hell is Gabriel-" meanwhile Miguel is on the floor sobbing going 'mi hermano. mi hermano pequeno 😭😭😭'

And it ends with them all hugging Miguel after this person just read him for filth using the power of Isekai Canon Knowledge

In the end Reader and Hobie become best friends because they both stand out so much in other universes and both take nothing entirely serious.

Plus they're both really perceptive and nosey and good at reading people so sometimes they see some subtle shit go down and they look at each other like

Kunikida… can do babytalk.

Kunikida can do babytalk. And he can do it REALLY well.

But he does it sparingly. Usually when it’s just him and Babyzai in his flat, he’ll bust it out. The babe adores it, cause well, he’s a baby and it’s called babytalk for a reason. But also cause it’s Kunikida, and he just sounds so silly.

But it’s a very private thing he does for Dazai, see. So he keeps it to himself, and rarely does it outside the safety of his own home. The only other person who knows about it is Tanizaki, who walked into the breakroom one lunch break, thinking he was alone, only to hear Kunikida speaking in an exaggerated, high pitched voice, babbling nonsense to a giggling Dazai. It low key traumatised him. And no one even believes him on this anymore, because Kunikida claims it was Dazai talking and he was just confused, and no one else has heard it anyway 🤨

Kunikida’s babytalk would be so silly because he’s such a serious person, and i think he’d do things like make his stapler talk to Dazai or make the paper folder fly away and flap like a bird as it goes back into the cabinets 😭🩵🩵🩵

AN: Look at me posting for Avalance again. I decided to clear out my WIP folder so while these are short and simple. I'll be posting a few more things in the future.

Sara smiled down at her phone as those three little dots disappeared to reveal Ava’s new text.

“I know how much you love desert, 🍩🍰🧁.”

“Not as much as you do 😜,” Sara typed back with a smile.

“I don’t know. You seems to enjoy that whipped cream and chocolate last week🍫.”

“You know I can have Gideon fabricate anything I want 😉.”

“Is that a challenge, my love? 🤨” 

The more Sara thought about it, the more her mouth watered as she longed for her lips to touch Ava. Something stirred deep inside her, a gentle ach that she knew and loved. It had been a week since they had been able to see each other in person as Ava was busy with the Time Bureau being audited by the government and the nonstop time aberrations appearances. Sara was so worked up that even the idea of licking her girlfriend’s fingers was enough to work her up.

“Your kitchen. Tonight. The one who looks the most delicious wins. 🥵🌶️”.

Just as she hit send someone knocked on her door.

“Sara,” Ray wined, as he knocked again. “John refuses to do any of his chores or clean up after himself. It’s becoming a real problem. The dust build up in the Gym is reaching allergen levels.”

“I’ll be there in a minute Ray,” Sara yelled, flopping onto her bed.

Her phone dinged and she quickly checked her text.

“You're on! 😠🍑” 

Sara smiled and placed her phone on her nightstand before going to moderate Ray and John’s . argument. Some day she wished her team was more independent and willing to deal with their own shit without running to her at the first sign of conflict. She often felt like a school teacher with a bunch of ill-equipped children.

“Mick!” Sara shouted, as she entered the parlor, she walked up to him and held out her hand making a grabbing motion.

“Something, I can help you with Captain?” Mick asked with a smirk.

“Just hand it over Mick.” 

However, he only shrugged and as he casually sipped on his beer.

“Now!” Sara said using the harsh voice she only used for desperate times.

“Alright, alright, no need to get your panties in a twist or did you decide on a thong for the Mrs. tonight,” Mick said as he teased her while fishing her phone out from the lining of the recliner.

“What have I told you about going through my phone,” she said, when he handed the phone to her she waved it at him like a scolding teacher.

“How the hell am I supposed to resist when you just keep it lying around like that?”.

“It was in my room behind a locked door!”

“Yeah well, isn’t that secure of a door, I thought you of all people would know better. You should at least hide it in a safe or smoothing. I mean I expect this kinda thing from Haircut or Pretty…”

“My room is supposed to be secure!” Sara said, stomping her foot. It was in that moment as she realized how childish she was being, but he had already made his bed she might as well make him lay in it.

“I can’t allow you to continue to go through everyone’s phone. It’s a gross invasion of privacy. If you continue to do this I’ll have no choice but to prohibit you from lighting any fires.”

He shrugged, clearly not taking her threat seriously.

“I mean it Mick. No trash fires, no lighters, no nothing, and if it means John has to stop smoking, then so be it. It’d be good for him,” Sara said, crossing her arms as Mick eyed her, but they both knew she would make good on her threats. 

“Fine,” Mick growled, as glared at her.

“Thank you,” Sara said, her voice returning to its sweet sound. “Now, hand over Ray’s too. And Nate’s.”

Mick reluctantly handed over the phone and mumbled under his breath in worlds she chose not to hear.

“Thank you,” she said. When she finally had everyone’s phone, she turned to walk out of the parlor.

“How come, Ava only texts you, Emojis,” Mick asked, catching her attention as she turned back to him. “She doesn't text them to anyone else.”

“I guess I’m just special,” Sara said, with a smile she felt a pink tint to her cheeks that she didn’t bother hiding from him.

“You got a good one, their boss,” Mick said, giving her a nod of approval, something Sara knew meant he thought very highly of their relationship.

Sara smiled, as she thought of how true his words were. “I know.”

HELLO!!! gosh im so bad at using tumblr aside from reblogging so this has been a long time coming but i came to say U R A POET!! i found your acc when u had like 2 ? fics out and i remember reading “if i fell through the floor i would keep falling” when it had 90 notes and feeling like someone had put their hand in my chest and ripped my heart out…. i was so confused how it didnt have 100000000 notes?!?! i am still confused now. it’s some of the most beautiful writing ive read (& i don’t even really read for geto so it was such a random find but i am so grateful). my favorite line was “he figures he can give you this one thing, at least.” there are so many heartbreaking ones in that piece but this one was especially so. it’s crazy to me how well you painted the scenes, it really felt like i could visually See every moment.

anyways, i rediscovered your account a few days ago thanks to “i can’t close my eyes alone” and i am BUZZING with excitement at how large your masterlist is (seeing many hurt/comfort fics and u absolutely KILL at that genre omg) i cant emphasize enough how excited i am to tear through it!!!! no way i get any sleep tonight. also sleeping in a bathtub is so horribly senseless that i relate deeply. i would also make a decision like that in anger and commit to it. my favorite line from that work is “sincerity and honesty are things that have been used against him all his life” 💔💔

also for Mr. (doctor?) strange... would you say the blow-up batdoll was his wildest most 😶😶 moment or does he get even jiggier with it than previously imagined 👀👀👀

The blow-up batdoll and the ideas he has about Batman in Prey and Terror are definitely the most 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨 he's ever gotten (like yeah there's the doll the whole time, but in Prey he compares Batman's work to "making love to the night" while he's dressed up as Batman. Which like okay man whatever you say). However! While I'm gonna touch on this more in another ask I got, Batman 2004's version is a pretty close second

While not sexual and more just general obsession because it's a kid's show, he does have an entire folder full of photos of Batman and when Batman says he "didn't know he was such a fan", Hugo says that Batman's obsession with criminals fascinates him as much as criminals in general fascinate him. He doesn't have folders full of their photos though so I'm not sure how true that is. Later when he allegedly infects Gotham with a zombie virus, he asks Batman to watch the city fall with him. Then when Batman returns to ask for more information, he has a bat banner hung up and asks Batman what he sees. To this, Batman says "That you're still crazy about me, Strange". Very easy to read those as obsessive "love"

And I also want to try something out here; I like these sorts of games in which you can choose your own ending by making your own decisions. Since I am a nerd without a live 🤭🤓I had to much ideas anyways… So; Let’s get started with this…

You looked out of the windows, while Mereoleona was sitting next to you, controlling all the documents about missions and stuff like this. She was still mad about the bad ranking of the Order, so she „wanted to check if there was an error“. At least that was the reason she told you. But you know better. It would never be logical for her, even the reasons were valid enough, to check lists about completed missions.

So, still wonder about the question „What is her real reason for this sort of meeting“ you were staring out of the window; watching the threes shaking softly in the summer breeze.

„I am not this interesting. But she keeps trying to get my attention since she arrived a week ago“, you thought to yourself. „So... Why? “

„I see…” she mumbled „No mistakes here. At least you are doing your work proper, (Y/N). Expecting nothing else...“

You didn’t hear her. Still asking yourself for her reasons to spent time with you. „She also has enough other work to do with the Royal Knights and the upcoming mission...“

„(Y/N)? Hey? “

Still watching the leaves outside with your thoughts elsewhere.

„Hey, (Y/N)?! Are you listening?” Mereoleona raising her voice caused you to wince.

„Yes, Captain Mereoleona?!“

„Oh? Why are you so polite? We've know each other for years, my dear?“

„I know. But after all... you are my boss at the moment“, you responded quietly with a cold in your voice. Trying to cover your little shock.

You want to keep your distance to her. But Mereoleona had other plans.

Still a little amused, she asked if you also talk to her brother this way.

You answered nodding. Knowing that this polite manner is needed. In particular for other people of the Order, thinking you are just a quiet clumsy girl. It puts you in a more professional role.

„Hey? What’s wrong? You are talking way less than usual with me, my little secretary? Even at the hot springs you kept ignoring me.“

„You were in good company anyway; You had a nice talk with this girl from the Black Bulls and the Captain of the Blue Roses. Also had fun with Leo and his friends from the other orders. No need for me.”

“Jealous, because we weren’t alone this time?”

You looked at her, raising one of your eyebrows. “No?  You also already took me there a few times... So the hot springs are not this special anymore...“

„Really? I thought I saw you enjoying the bath and the view of the stars every time we went there.”

But you waved it off. The last times you got way too much of her attention...

„Being hunted down across an active volcano by you, while trying to maintaince my manaskine, is like vacation in hell...“

„Come on, (Y/N). As I would let you die there for real. I’m just pushing you to get stronger.“

You were not quite sure about this. One of the main reasons you don’t like her.

„But you also got way better since last time…“

You shrug. „Anyway-“ You thought about remembering her that she hit you way to hard the other day;  what leaves you still a little mad. Compliments and praise would also not change this. But you stayed quiet. Above all, you wanted to finish this pointless meeting. So you reached out for the folders in front of her. “Are you finished here by now? If yes, I would be pleased to put away the documents...“

The moment your fingertips touched the lid of the folder, she griped your wrist.  „Or are you avoiding me because of our fight? Did I hurt you this badly, that you are one week later still in bandages?“

„Not really“, you answered while you manage quiet easy to  get out her claws.  Showing her that you were able to move your fingers. „See? Nothing broken... But; Are you already done yet?“

Without waiting for a respond and being caught again you manage to bring back the files in the filing cabinet. As you wanting to close it, you hear a chair, being pushed back an in the very next second.

“Finally…I can call it a day.” You felt a little relief; the two of you were done here.

She was at looking at you, her bushy eyebrows squinted. Her eyes were filled with fury but somehow also with concern. She was so close you could feel her breath on your skin. Her scent, similar to her brother’s, but spicier, in your nose. You can’t help and blushing badly.

„Mereo, please. Let me go“, you said quietly. As Mereoleona started smirking - showing her fang - you realized that you really called her by her nickname. It made you feel worse.

„Fine“, you whispered and giving in. „The bandage... You burned me badly the other day. I was sure my defense could take your heat but.... I was too ashamed I didn’t ask a healing-mage for help.“

„I see“, Mereoleona mumbled quietly.  „ I’m glad. I thought broke your bones.“, she sounded relived. But her voice changed the second after, when she wanted to know why she ashamed you.

„ I... I don’t know why this made me mad the way it did. But... I... I.... C-can you please move, Mereo? You are far too close.“

„Is this also embarrassing for you, (Y/N)?“ She asked coming closer. Made you blush again.

„Mereoleona... Please...“

„I can't hear you. Speak up... Come on, (Y/N). Let me he hear your voice“

„Please... Let me go.“ You felt close to start whining. You tried to push her away but before you could, she changed the topic; Asking you how far you and Fuegoleon already went. „Has he made a move by now? Is this the reason you are so afraid of me?“

You couldn’t answer. You grow stiff and felt tears filling your eyes.

„Or did he still not realize how much of a sweetheart you are?“

The first tear run over your face, dripped on the ground. Followed by another one.

„I see... No progress since the last time.“ Her voice softens as you felt her finger on your face. Whipping gently away your tears. „Is it really worth for you, (Y/N)? You are in this one sided relationship for almost five years... and might continue it for much longer? He never made a step towards you. And... you never had the courage again to do so...“

„I already told you years ago that I love him.“ You looked up at her. Your eyes still wet, ready to burst up in tears at any given time again.“

„Are you really happy? He might only see you as his friend. His secretary for paperstuff... Nothing more...“

That was the Moment you pushed her away, running to the door as fast as you could. Your heart still in your mouth. As you put your hand on the doorknob you turned around again. Unsure what to say, especially seeing her full of worry in her blue eyes. An expression you never know Mereoleona was capable of.

Her words were hurting you. Right into the heart, like little sharp knives. Even more, because you know they are not true….

“Please… stop this. I… I really like him. Even more – you know. Even he never responded my feelings it’s fine for me to stay by his side. I don’t ask for anything more…”

Without waiting for a Response you left the Office room.

[You noticed that she has a point…]

„She has a Point, yes”, you thought to yourself, close to tear up again.  “Even if she is harsh and directly Like always, she is right. Fuegoleon never really returned my Feelings until now. Why? Does it really mean I am nothing more than a assistance for him. It can’t be…“

As you heard Mereoleona approaching towards you again.  “Excuse me”, you whispered as you left the office Head over Heels.

Still hearing Mereoleona asking herself where she went wrong.

Neil left a month after Artem joined the NXX, which he says was Oct 2029

And oh I've only just realized this, but the dub I listen to has the voice actors pronounce NXX as "N-two-X" when I've been saying each letter (like DNA). I'm... probably still going to continue saying it as NXX though

At that point, he tells MC it was only Neil, Vyn, and Giann -- so we can assume the order of member accumulation goes Vyn -> Artem -> Marius -> MC -> Luke

Whoa Neil and Giann disappeared within two weeks of each other? Ouch

Oooh MC did know Neil 'personally' in the sense that she was in one of his classes! Nice to have that confirmed

Artem? With Velcro sneakers? GOOD CHARACTER AMMUNITION, I'll find a way to sneak that into a Marius insult somehow (also Sam if you're reading this, I see what you mean by your light up shoes post and I nod enthusiastically in agreement)

Note for future reference: Artem's books consist of law, philosophy, filmography, sci-fi, and foreign books (not too sure what the latter means but he speaks German I think so they're probably just books in another language)

The Artem Swimming Thing (slightly later addition because I forgot I had thoughts on this) (is this 6-15? maybe I do have thoughts on 6-15 after all)

3 minutes 42 seconds? THAT'S VERY SPECIFIC FOR *cough* PLOT PURPOSES

Artem swimming a lot actually might explain the broad shoulders! I swam a lot when I was younger -- less so now because covid -- but you can tell because my shoulders broadened as I grew up (maybe possibly due to genetics but swimming was at least a partial factor as well). So that's interesting!

Other thoughts

Chapter 6 has a very clear focus on Artem. Nothing wrong with that, but it's interesting to me because the story so far has taken the time to make sure MC has at least one case with each boy so far (partially to introduce the reader to each of their characters)

We have ch1: Luke, ch2: Vyn, ch3: Artem, ch4: Marius, and ch5: Luke again. This led me to believe that it was a cycle and character focus would go in that order, but this chapter proves that is not true at all

Which means the character cycle is broken (perhaps slightly ironic, considering the chapter title is 'A Vicious Cycle')

I have my own theories as to which of the remaining two (Marius and Vyn; the order of the cycle may be broken but for equality reasons the story can't favor one character too much -- and thus all four must be covered before the cycle restarts) ch 7 and ch 8 will be focused on, but that's spoiler territory so nothing to say there

Overall 6.1 was fun! Looking forward to 6.2 in two weeks :D
