To whom does the hand of fate beckon; The holy messenger of rot and plague, desperate for affection? Or perhaps the alluring songstress, whose mystery is as great as her influence?

The Beholders of the Moon and the Wonderland Ensemble aren't the only hands dealing the cards when it comes to crime in Vilyuchka.

Many other mysterious forces have their own sway and influence in this world. Be it with the support of a syndicate or completely independent from any group.

The Amatores Pestilentiae, otherwise known as the Watchers are a group of religious fanatics that give their hearts to one being: An angel of plague and rot that goes by the name of Uriel. The Watchers operate more like a church would than any traditional crime syndicate. While they don't enjoy the life of crime, their unorthodox manners of worship and faith in beings deemed unholy means they have no choice in stooping to the depths of Vilyuchka's crime culture.

While the Beholders are considered passive for the most part, the Watchers can be known to be somewhat aggressive. Most Watchers are completely faithful to the beck and calls of their idol Uriel.

Watcher Uriel's goal is simple on paper: They want to live in a world where their unsightly visage is accepted and loved. A world where they and their beloved Watchers don't have to fear death if they were to go out in daylight. Though things get much more complicated when you factor in Uriel's nature as an angelic being.

In the grand scheme of things, he hasn't been living amongst mortals for very long. Not to mention the ways his followers tend to shelter him. This causes him to have a disconnect when it comes to mortal life, and an impressively great lack of empathy. The Watchers blindly follow his command nonetheless, unable to think critically about the dissonance he experiences.

Blackheart PI is in no way a crime syndicate. Quite the opposite, in fact. Technically. Blackheart PI is a one-man unit, run by the ever mysterious Lucia Blackheart. While through all technicality she's a detective, and a damn good one at that, her goal isn't to put an end to Vilyuchka's dependency on crime.

The first half of business model is simple. She uses her prowess as an investigator in order to gather documents and useful information for various crime organizations around in Vilyuchka. They pay good money for it, too. No one offers a service quite like she does. Any time you have Blackheart on your side you have an immediate advantage.

To most this would seem risky. Blackheart is essentially walking with the biggest target in Vilyuchka on her back. This is where her second talent comes in to play; She's a Composer. As well as a songstress. And one of the best in Vilyuchka, at that. Killing Blackheart, someone who is such an established musician, would be an incredible loss. Attempting anything nefarious with her would not only lose you one of the most valuable allies in Vilyuchka, but also risks inciting the ire of all the other syndicates in the city.
