ok actual last post but my main problem w the xcore approach to art is that its not even enjoying art on a "surface level" bc it doesnt focus on or even acknowledge the emotion or idea or statement it's meant to convey but rather on a certain aesthetic theyre trying cultivate

#lord if i was mitski and saw what they were doing to my songs on tiktok.#im not mad please dont write in the papers that i got mad etx #like u dont have to know the background of the artist/piece of everything you enjoy but knowing even a little bit rly does help u better #understand connect and enjoy art. in my experience #mine*#might make a post abt maurycy gottlieb later bc i saw his art irl a couple of weeks ago and still havent recovered #me in the museum grabbing my dads hand eyes red hyperventilating autistically explaining him the history being the painting
